The show opened with Les Thatcher and Johnny Weaver at the desk in front of the SMW backdrop. Thatcher said that the Bluegrass Brawl tour has kicked off, and it’s going to be an incredible week of wrestling action all over Kentucky. Weaver chimed in and said that it all culminates Wednesday night in Kingsport TN, and there is a great night of action on tap there. They quickly run down the card for Wednesday night in Kingsport:

Thatcher said we’ll be hearing more about the Bluegrass Brawl tour later, and then he threw it to the first match of the show….
Match: The Brooklyn Brawler def. George South. The Brawler kept heckling the fans by calling them “hillbillies” throughout the match.
Thatcher and Weaver were joined by Jim Duggan who said that tomorrow night in Hazzard, he is gonna whip Orndorff and take the Smoky Mountain Heavyweight title away from him, and then on Wednesday night in Kingsport, he’s gonna beat his butt again!

Out of the break, and Ron Wright was at the desk. He first said that Monday night in Barbourville, the Jive Tones are going to be the first SMW tag team champions when they whip the “Crock & Roll Express. Thatcher then asked about The Mongolian Stomper debuting this past Wednesday night as the mystery opponent for the Bullet. Wright said that he had warned the Bullet to stay out of his business, and now The Stomper is here to make sure that the Bullet isn’t a problem anymore, because he is going to run him out of the sport!
Match: The Mongolian Stomper mauled and defeated Jimmy Backlund.

The Rock and Roll Express went to the desk and said that on Monday night in Barbourville, they are gonna finish things with the Jive Tones when they beat them and win the Smoky Mountain Tag Team titles.

Out of the break, and the SMW champion Paul Orndorff is at the desk. He said that Jim Duggan has been a pain in his butt for a while now, but he is going to put him in his place tomorrow night in Hazzard.

At the desk, Ivan Koloff and Valdimir Pietrov bragged about the beating they gave Ranger Ross last Wednesday night. Thatcher chimed in and said that Ross called his old friend, Corporal Kirchner to come to town, and this Wednesday night, the four men will square off. Ivan said that Pietrov is not afraid of this Kirchner. He is superior in every way, and will send a strong message to all the wrestlers here, and around the USA on Wednesday night in Kingsport when he finishes off Ross for good, and puts and end to Kirchner as well!
Match: Scott Armstrong & Johnny Rich fought the Deatons to a double countout when all four were brawling on the floor. As the four men were broken up, Joel Deaton yelled out that Armstrong and Rich are in for it now…because the big man himself is riding in to town! Armstrong and Rich looked puzzled by that.
Thatcher and Weaver wrapped things up and reminded everyone to come out to the Bluegrass Brawl tour this week!
