from the WDEF Channel-12 Studio A
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Announcer: Joe Wheeler
Referee: Walter Buckner
Joe Wheeler
Host Joe Wheeler welcomes everyone to Championship TV Wrestling this Saturday morning when he is joined by managers Tom Renesto Sr., Christopher Love, JD Costello, Tony Falk, Tux Newman and following out last, Ken Bolin.
Joe Wheeler: Two weeks in a row. This is getting to be a regular habit. To what do I owe the pleasure of your company?
Tom Renesto Sr.
A beaming Tom Renesto Sr. rubs his hands together as he steps forward to speak.
Tom Renesto Sr.: If last week's performance by young Jamie Dundee is any indication of what's to come, then sir, this will be a regular occurrence. Let me be the first to say that I, and my fellow co-conspirators are pleased as punch by what transpired inside this very ring.
Joe Wheeler: And we're talking about Jamie's debut here?
Tom Renesto Sr.: My good man, what on Earth else could we possibly be speaking about? Let me tell you what a treat these fans and those at home who tuned in to see the wrestling debut of a true "Blue Chip" prospect.
Joe Wheeler: What else is on the table for Jamie Dundee?
Tom Renesto Sr.: Some very sound advice from one of the most astute minds in the business as well as additional in-ring guidance from Coach Tony Falk here ...
JD Costello
JD Costello: Put a sock in it, Renesto.
Tom Renesto Sr.: I beg your pardon.
JD Costello: You heard me, Renesto. Put a sock in it already! Lissen here, Wheeler. Here's how it is going down, each one of here knows what's best for this kid but only one of us can take him to the promised land ... and that's JD Costello. We played along with your idea Renesto but now it's every man for himself. Know this ... JD Costello ALWAYS gets his man!
Costello turns and walks off, soon followed by the others minus Tom Rensto Sr.
Joe Wheeler: Strange bedfellows take a tun for the stranger but right now, it is time for a break, and when we come back ... wrestling action!
----- COMMERCIAL BREAK -----
Boni Blackstone & Nightmare Ken Wayne
We return to find Boni Blackstone backstage with the Nightmare Ken Wayne.
Boni Blackstone: I am here with Ken Wayne of the Nightmares ...
Ken Wayne: Boni, it's just Ken Wayne.
Boni Blackstone: Okay Ken ... you're here in Chattanooga, presumably to make a run at the tag titles here and using that to vault yourself and fellow Nightmare Danny Davis into the NWA's US and possibly World Tag Titles?
Ken Wayne: Boni, I am looking forward to a shot at the NWA Chattanooga Heavyweight Title and from there, the sky's the limit. RIght now, I am focused on ...
Stepping into view, the other Nightmare, Danny Davis.
Nightmare Danny Davis.
Danny Davis: Hey Kenny ... there you are. After my match today, let's talk about the Nightmares running the table here and picking up some tag team gold ...
Ken Wayne rolls his eyes as he shakes his head before walking off.
Danny Davis: Kenny ... Kenny? Where's your make-up? Hey! Wait a second!
Davis runs off after him, leaving a shoulder shrugging Boni Blackstone all alone.
Boni Blackstone: Joe, back to you!
Joe Wheeler: Thank you, Boni. Right now, lets go to the ring for our first match!
The Ninja versus Brian Knighton
Dressed all in black, the smaller masked man faces the bigger Knighton. Chops and kicks for the Ninja to start but Knighton comes on, throwing his weight around, using his strength to wear on his opponent. Never really in danger despite taking several shots, Knighton finishes off the Ninja with a running powerslam.
After the match, the "Baltimore Bomber" joins Joe Wheeler ringside.
Joe Wheeler: Congratulations are in order for a hard fought victory here today.
Brian Knighton: Thank you, Joe. I just want to thank all these great fans here for supporting me and making me feel welcome here in Chattanooga which has become a "home away from home" for me.
Joe Wheeler: An impressive victory here on the heels of one a few weeks back against Big Benny Trailer.
Brian Knighton: A different opponent and a different style that allowed me to show off a little bit of my power. I might be pretty new to the business but don't let that fool you. I'm looking to face the best here each and every week to show what I can do.
Joe Wheeler: I think I speak for everyone here that we look forward to seeing you in the ring and with you all the best here in Chattanooga. Ladies and gentleman ... Brian Knighton! And we'll be right back following this commercial break.
----- COMMERCIAL BREAK -----
Back from the break, we find Boni Blackstone backstage with Tim and Tom Renesto Jr.
Boni Blackstone: I have with me the sons of manager Tom Renesto Sr., Tim and Tom Jr. Thank you both for joining me. Your thoughts on being here in Chattanooga?
Tom Renesto Jr.: Thanks for having us, Boni. Tim and I are real happy to be here. The NWA is here and so are the Nightmares, one of the top tag teams in all of the National Wrestling Alliance. My brother and I are looking forward to getting into the ring with them.
Tim Renesto: ... and beating them. They might have the experience but the Renestos know a thing or two about tag team wrestling.
Boni Blackstone: As the sons of Tom Rensto Sr., one of the original Assassins and a downright good tag team wrestler in his own right, the two of you have the pedigree. Wrestling where your father is ... what does that mean to the two of you?
Tom Renesto Jr.: Well ... he's doing his thing and Tim and I are doing ours. Let's just leave it at that.
Boni Blackstone: His "thing" at the moment being an interest in Jamie Dundee as his client?
Tim Renesto: Like my brother said, let's leave it at that. Chattanooga has some big names here ... Dundee, the Nightmares, Fargo ... just don't forget the Renesto name!
Boni throws it back to Wheeler and our next match..
Danny Davis versus Caveman Broda
Davis with a very warm welcome to the area and things get underway very quickly as he gets to work. A series of armdrags and dropkicks has the Caveman in all kinds of trouble and quickly covered several times but able to escape being pinned. Davis works that side headlock and calls his shots before executing them. Broda tries to brawl his way out of it but finds Davis both willing and able to do that as well.
Big body slam and a leg drop before Davis hooks a leg for the cover ...
Mad Dog Peloquin.
IT'S MAD DOG PELOGUIN! MAD DOG PELOQUIN HAS HIT THE RING STARTS STOMPING DANNY DAVIS BEFORE GOING TO WORK ON CAVEMAN BRODA!
The referee calls for the bell and the disqualification. The Mad Dog runs Broda hard into the corner before tossing him to the outside. Before leaving the ring, he is tapped on the shoulder and turns into Davis' right hands. Irish whip and Mad Dog hits the far ropes and returns to a back body drop that gets the fans excited. Stumbling back to his feet, the Mad Dog takes a drop kick to the mush that sends him through the ropes to the outside. Danny Davis is ready to continue the fight but is stopped by the referee while the Mad Dog slinks off to the back.
Cheers for Davis as Joe Wheeler reminds everyone to tune in next week for more NWA-Chattanooga's Championship TV Wrestling!
