Joe Wheeler
Host Joe Wheeler welcomes everyone to Championship TV Wrestling this Saturday morning when he is joined by managers Tom Renesto Sr., Christopher Love, JD Costello, Tony Falk, Tux Newman and following out last, Ken Bolin. Behind them, an assortment of wrestlers, four of them masked as well as Chris Frazier and Bob Owens.
Joe Wheeler: Welcome gentlemen. Maybe an explanation is in order?
Tom Renesto Sr.: Of course, my good man. You see, Joe, it was our desire to see the young prospect Jamie Dundee in his first action in order to scout his talents. My comrades and myself could not come to an agreement as to who his first opponent and after further consideration, we all agreed, with Jackie Fargo's blessing of course, to find an opponent in the fairest of ways possible.
Joe Wheeler: And each of these men behind you are?
Tom Renesto Sr.: The fairest solution of course. These six men will meet in an Over-the-Top Battle Royal with the winner of the match being the one facing young Master Dundee.
Joe Wheeler: An interesting collection of possible opponents but right now, it is time for a break, then wrestling action! We'll be right back."
----- COMMERCIAL BREAK -----
Boni Blackstone & Frenchy Martin
We return to find Boni Blackstone backstage with Frenchy Martin.
Boni Blackstone: I am here with Frenchy Martin. My question for you sir, why are you not involved with announcement of the Battle Royal today or have a handpicked opponent for the match to determine who will face Jamie Dundee.
Frenchy Martin: It is quite simple, mon cherie. While the other distinguished managers play these games, Frenchy Martin is here with an offer, sight unseen for Jamie Dundee. No need to see what he can do inside the ring because of his obvious pedigree. All I need him to do is sign on the dotted line, then it is off to the big lights, city nights of the Big Apple!
Boni Blackstone: THE BIG APPLE? Why you don't mean ...
Frenchy Martin: Yes, I do. No more Chattanooga for Jamie Dundee ... all he has to do is sign on the dotted line, mon cherie ...
Boni Blackstone: An offer already on the table for Jamie Dundee, Joe, back to you!
Joe Wheeler: Thank you, Boni. Right now, lets go to the ring!
Battle Royal - Bob Owens, Chris Frazier, El Mascara, the Ninja, the Shadow and the Terrorist
Filled ring with an equal amount of managers on the outside ready for things to get underway. With the bell, they are underway in a sloppy match. Bob Owens is the first to be eliminated. A disgusted Owens walks off while Chris Frazier laughs at him before being dropkicked to the outside by El Mascara. The Terrorist, the Ninja and the Shadow work together to make it three by eliminating their masked comrade. Half the field eliminated but each of the managers intently watching the remaining wrestlers.
The Ninja works a spinning toehold on the Shadow and stops long enough to take a bite out of his opponent's leg. The Terrorist puts an end to that, hammering the Ninja from behind before throwing him out. With only two left, more traditional match but very basic in nature with hip tosses and armbars being the moves. Having had enough, we get a lowbridge as Tom Renesto Sr. yanks down the top rope, allowing a ducking Shadow to win the match as the Terrorist goes over the top to the floor which appears to delight the ringside manager entourage.
The gathered "Brain Trust" congratulates the victorious Shadow as Joe Wheeler sends us to a commercial.
----- COMMERCIAL BREAK -----
Back from the break, we find Boni Blackstone backstage with Jamie Dundee.
Boni Blackstone & Jamie Dundee
Boni Blackstone: Jamie before you have your debut match here against the Shadow who won the right to face you just moments ago, I would like to ask you about the offer thrown your way by one Frenchy Martin ...
Jamie Dundee: Miss Boni, I heard what was said earlier. Big city lights, late nights ...
Boni Blackstone: New York City ...
Jamie Dundee: New York City? Miss Boni, I'm a Tennessee Boy through and through, I don't see no New York City in my future ...
The beret wearing Martin walks in, holding a contract.
Frenchy Martin: Jamie, we can do away with all of this foolishness right now. All you need to do is sign on the dotted line and we can catch our plane. The future looks bright, mon ami.
Jamie Dundee: Mr. Martin, I appreciate the interest but I'm staying right here in Chattanooga with the NWA.
Frenchy Martin: But ... I have a contract right here ...
Jamie Dundee: Excuse me, I have a match to get to.
Boni throws it back to Wheeler and our next match..
Jamie Dundee versus the Shadow
A big cheer as Jamie Dundee makes his way to the ring, slapping hands with the fans on the way. Popular kid while the Shadow heels it up in the ring. The youngster is ready and raring to go while his opponent delays things by staying on the ropes.
Once underway, we get some chain wrestling as the masked man works a side headlock before Jamie is able reverse things, going behind into a hammerlock before taking the Shadow down and rolling him up for a two count.
Escaping to the outside, the Shadow gets an earful from the managers outside to get back in there. They start arguing but Dundee puts an end to it with a baseball slide before rolling the Shadow back into the ring. Body slam and some rope running before an elbow drop and a cover for another two count.
The Shadow draws the ire of the multiheaded manager coming up with a fist, ready to hit the youngster but finds Dundee ready for it with a fist of his own, driving the Shadow back across the ring. Irish whip and the Shadow gets tripped up by Tom Renesto Sr. who shrugs his shoulders. Up and ready to argue, the Shadow is the target of a running bulldog. No doubt about it, this one is over and Jamie Dundee is victorious in his debut. The ring is rushed by the multitude of managers to celebrate with Jamie.
Joe Wheeler reminds everyone to tune in next week for more NWA-Chattanooga's Championship TV Wrestling!
