Match One - Super Juniors ‘88 quarter final
Tiger Mask II v Black Tiger
Rollerball Rocco isn’t happy about this one because it’s partner versus partner, meaning one of his men will definitely be out of this tournament one way or another. The masked men start off feeling each other out, but Black Tiger takes a short cut with a mule kick that earns him a warning from referee Sandy Barr. Black Tiger pleads innocent, but that allows Tiger Mask II to catch him with a jumping kick to the chest. A dazed Black Tiger falls victim to the Tiger Driver and that’s all she wrote. Rollerball Rocco makes both men shake hands after the match.
Winner Tiger Mask II by pinfall @ 7:45

IWA commissioner Lou Thesz is standing by with Ed Whalen and IWA World Heavyweight Champion Bad News Allen to make a huge announcement. Mr. Thesz and the board of directors have been weighing all of their options because there are many worthy challengers. However, they have awarded the #1 contendership to one ‘King Kong’ Bruiser Brody - who will now face Bad News Allen on the Super Juniors ‘88 TV special live from Los Angeles. Bad News Allen puts over Brody as one of the most dangerous individuals to ever step into the squared circle, but the champions warns that Brody is not the Ultimate Warrior. Bad News will be ready for a war at the Fabulous Forum in Los Angeles.

Match two - Los Capos vs. Konnan, El Hijo Del Santo and Vampiro
Our international correspondent Chris Cruise joins Eric Bischoff and Scotty the Body for commentary on the next match, which will be contested under trios-style lucha libre rules. Cruise catches fans up on Los Capos, the dangerous brother trio of Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000 and Universo 2000 - who are hated south of the border for their ruthless tactics and desire not just to win but to hurt their opponents. He also calls Konnan one to watch, although the masked rookie is very green. In the first fall, Cien Caras catches Vampiro in the full nelson and drives him into the canvas to score a three count.
In the second fall, Konnan uses his power to keep Máscara Año 2000 on the ropes and then shows surprising agility with a rolling clothesline. However, it’s Vampiro scoring a bit of vengeance here when Konnan is sent to the floor - allowing Vamp to come storming in with a series of headbutts. Vampiro scoops Máscara Año 2000 into Fisherman buster to score the pin in the second fall.
Los Capos take back control in the third fall by trapping El Hijo Del Santo on their side of the ring. Universo 2000 locks in his patented abdominal stretch submission, but Santo is also to eventually hip toss his way out of it. Universo 2000 rolls to the floor, allowing Cien Caras to slide in and apply the inverted bearhug. Santo struggles but there’s nowhere to go and he submits! The boss of bosses scores the win for his team in this exciting match, but all three of their opponents looked like stars even in a loss.
Winners Los Capos by pinfall and submission in two falls @ 13:02

Ed Whalen interviews International Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Rougeaus, who have volunteered to be at ringside to make sure the match between Rick Martel and Tom Zenk is contested fairly. Ed wonders why the Rougeaus are so interested in this match. Jacques explains that himself and Raymond are always concerned with fairness, just like the American people do. The Rougeaus stand for truth, justice and the American way so they hope their friends Rick Martel and Tom Zenk settle their issues tonight.

Match three - ‘Dangerous’ Dan Spivey vs. Scott Peterson
‘China White’ by the Scorpions ushers the frightening Dan Spivey into the arena. Scotty the Body puts him over as the most dominant force in the IWA right now. Scott Peterson tries to charge Spivey with some rights and lefts once the bell rings, but Spivey no-sells it, shoots Peterson off the ropes and drills him with a sidewalk slam. A big boot later, ‘Dangerous’ Dan pulls Peterson into the Spivey Spike implant DDT and slips one foot over Scotty’s chest for the three count. Another dominating win for ‘Dangerous’ Dan Spivey.
Winner ‘Dangerous’ Dan Spivey via pinfall @ 3:17

Match four - Super Juniors ‘88 quarter-finals
Dan Kroffat vs. Liger
The match hasn’t even begun when Rollerball Rocco, Black Tiger and Tiger Mask II hit the ring to corner the masked Liger - who’s wearing a leopard skin mask with his long black hair sticking out of the back. What's this all about? Dan Kroffat steps up to the trio and it looks like we’re about to have a brawl here. However, world power-lifting champion Doug Furnas arrives in the ring! Suddenly, Rollerball Rocco doesn’t want any part of it. Rocco and his apprentices retreat to the back. Furnas then nods in respect to Kroffat, the man who he has battled to several time limit draws in recent weeks. Dan Kroffat shakes Doug Furnas’ hand, and then Furnas walks back to the dressing room.
Once the match actually gets under way, Dan Kroffat tries to keep things grounded but Liger floors him with a belly-to-back suplex for a close two count. Liger applies the surfboard submission and he has Kroffat in trouble, but the young Canadian refuses to submit. After eventually releasing the submission, Liger pulls Kroffat into a vertical suplex and holds him in the air - but Kroffat slips out and lands on his feet. Liger spins around, but is met with a super kick! Kroffat propels Liger into the canvas with a gutwrench suplex and then bridges it into a pinning combination for the three count! What a match! The two shake hands after the match, and Liger raises Kroffat’s hand high in the air.
Winner Dan Kroffat by pinfall @ 9:23

TV Main Event - Rick Martel vs. Tom Zenk
These two former friends are jawing right away, and soon they’re brawling as the Fabulous Rougeaus shake their heads in disbelief on the floor. Z-Man wails on Martel with some big open palm strikes. Z-Man shoots Martel off the ropes and lifts him into the air into a back body drop and hurls Martel back down to the canvas. Martel immediately slides back into the corner as Tom Zenk approaches. Z-Man looks around at the fans as he’s about to deck Martel, but Martel sneaks in a shot to the stomach and then a kick to the right knee. Z-Man grasps at his knee and Martel swiftly drives his shoulder into Tom Zenk’s right knee, sending Z-Man to the canvas.
Rick Martel grabs the right knee and then lays in with some elbow smashes, before setting the knee across the bottom rope. Martel jumps up and brings his weight crashing down on Z-Man’s right knee three times. Martel then pulls Z-Man out to the center of the ring and connects with a few jumping knee drops to the right knee. Rick Martel goes for an elevated Boston crab, but Z-Man uses his good leg to propel Martel right into referee John Bonello and the official goes tumbling to the arena floor. Martel is up now as Z-Man is trying to assess the situation with the fallen referee. However, Martel grips him from behind, pops the hips and goes for a belly-to-back release suplex! No, Zenk flips out of it and lands down on one knee. Martel charges, but Z-Man shoots up with a savate kick. Light’s out. It’s over! Tom Zenk goes for the cover, but there’s no referee.
On the floor, Jacques and Raymond Rougeau are looking conflicted! They finally roll into the ring… and then they both stomp on Tom Zenk! What the hell? The Fabulous Rougeaus is stomping the hell out of their supposed friend here as Rick Martel gets back to his feet. Rick Martel looks confused for a second, before a smirk emerges. These guys were in cahoots! Rick Martel has now grabbed a steel chair from ringside as the Rougeaus hold Zenk. Martel crowns Z-Man with the chair, and then drives that chair into Zenk’s midsection over and over. The Rougeaus get in on the action too! This is a mugging. Finally, Martel covers the prone Z-Man as Jacques and Raymond now innocently help referee John Bonello back into the ring! Bonello administers the 1-2-3! This was highway robbery.
The bell hasn’t even rung before Flyin’ Brian, Owen Hart, Ben Bassarab, Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffat hit the ring to run off Rick Martel and the Rougeaus. In the aisle, it’s all smiles as the Rougeaus wave their tiny American flags and Rick Martel chuckles at the sight of his fallen former best friend. It’s a very serious situation as medics arrive to load Tom Zenk onto a stretcher and rush him to an an ambulance, with Flyin’ Brian and Owen Hart going with him.
Winner Rick Martel by pinfall @ 12:38
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bruce Hart joins Ed Whalen at ringside and admits he’s shocked to see what Rick Martel and the Fabulous Rougeaus just did to their own friend Tom Zenk. Bruce is sick to the backstabbing going on here in the IWA - oh no! It’s that mysterious masked wearing black leather jacket and pants! He’s once jumped Bruce Hart from behind and he throws Bruce head-first into the steel guard rail! What’s the story with this guy! The babyface locker-room empties, but the masked man hops the rail and he’s gone like a thief in the night!
The babyfaces are helping a dazed Bruce Hart to his feet as Scotty the Body laughs at what he calls ‘the most enjoyable show’ since he arrived in the IWA. Eric Bischoff is just appalled by the whole scene as he tells fans we’re out of time. Join us next week when we’ll hopefully find out what’s going on with the Rougeaus and Rick Martel, in addition to having two more Super Juniors ‘88 quarter final matches.
