CLIP: Nashville, 1/9/88 FINAL MOMENTS OF THE FIRST BUNKHOUSE STAMPEDE: Luger and Big Bubba whip Barry into the ropes and give him a double clothesline!!!!! Luger asks for a high five from Bubba!!! Luger then tells Bubba to pick Windham up, but as soon as Bubba’s back is turned Luger grabs him by the neck and tosses him out of the ring!!!! Big Bubba Rogers has been eliminated and HE IS PISSED!!!! Rogers tries to climb back in the ring but officials are stopping him, Luger has all his attention on Bubba and doesn’t see that Windham is back on his feet!!! Luger turns right into a dropkick from Barry that sends Luger backward and over the top rope!!!!! LEX LUGER HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!!! BARRY WINDHAM HAS WON THE FIRST BUNKHOUSE STAMPEDE QUALIFIER!!!! LUGER AND BUBBA ARE BRAWLING ON THE FLOOR!!!
Tony and Gordon are seated at ringside while the theme for Halloween is playing in the background!!! They welcome everyone to today’s jam packed show!!!!! Today’s Main Event will see Nikita Koloff defend the World Television Championship against Bobby Eaton!!! Jesse Barr and Jimmy Valiant will meet in a match that won’t be for the faint of heart as they go at it in a Street Fight!!! All this plus the Road Warriors will be in action and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat does battle with ½ of the World Tag Team Champions, Tully Blanchard!!! Plus we are going to talk to the man who won the first Bunkhouse Stampede in Nashville, Barry Windham!!!! All this and the World Champion Ric Flair will be here!!!! Tony says our first match is on it’s way to the ring as Kevin Sullivan teams with Mukhan Singh to face Sting and “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes!!!!!!!!
Sullivan and Singh are in the ring, Sullivan chases referee Nick Patrick out of the ring Sullivan and Singh are staring at the aisle when the music hits!!!!
Sting and Dusty waste no time and go into a full run down the aisle and slide in the ring, Singh and Sullivan are on them as soon as they do!!!! Sting and Dusty fight to their feet, it’s an all out brawl!!!! Sting and Dusty clear Sullivan and Singh from the ring, the heels are standing on the floor when Sting runs the ropes and launches himself over the top and onto them!!! Sting has wiped out the Army of Darkness!!!! Sting rolls back into the ring and howls!!!!!! Nick Patrick rolls back into the ring and signals for the bell to ring and the match to start!!!!
MUKHAN SINGH & KEVIN SULLIVAN VS. STING & DUSTY RHODES
It’s the big men to start us off as Dusty Rhodes and Mukhan Singh battle it out in the center of the ring!!!! The two men are going at it tooth and nail until Singh misses a charge in the corner and Dusty unloads with punches!!! Dusty tags out to Sting and now The Stinger gets a chance to work over the High Priest of the Army of Darkness!!!! Sting is lightning quick and hits Singh with a series of clotheslines and dropkicks before letting out a howl!!!! Sting makes the tag to Dusty, they whip Singh into the ropes and hit a double clothesline!!!! Dusty then makes a cover!!!

Dusty pulls Singh up, but Singh rakes Dusty’s eyes, grabs him and hits a belly to belly suplex!!!!! Singh then hits the ropes...BIG SPLASH!!!!!!!!!

Singh whips Dusty hard into the Army’s corner!!! He tags out to Sullivan and the two men stomp a mudhole into Dusty in the corner!!!!!! Sullivan drags Dusty out of the corner, DOUBLE STOMP!!!! SULLIVAN COVERS!!!!

THR--STING BREAKS UP THE COUNT!!!!!
REFEREE NICK PATRICK IS FORCING STING OUT OF THE RING WHILE SINGH GETS IN, HE AND SULLIVAN DOUBLE TEAM RHODES!!! SULLIVAN SLIPS OUT OF THE RING!!! NO TAG WAS MADE!!! SINGH HAS DUSTY LOCKED IN A REAR CHIN LOCK AND WE HAVE TO TAKE A COMMERCIAL BREAK!!!!
We are back and Dusty is trying to fight to his feet!!! He has his hand in the air and is asking for the fans to get louder while Sting beats on the turnbuckle looking for crowd support!!!! Dusty gets to his feet and breaks the hold!!!! Dusty and Singh are trading punches in the middle of the ring!!!

Both Singh and Dusty are crawling towards their corners, Singh reaches his first and here comes Sullivan!!!!! Sullivan tries to stop Dusty but Dusty makes the tag and here comes Sting!!!!!!! Sullivan fires off forearms onto Sting’s chest!! But Sting isn’t feeling it!!!!! Sting lets out a howl and beats on his chest!!!! Sullivan kicks Sting in the gut!!! Sullivan tries to whip Sting into the ropes but Sting reverses, Sting leapfrogs Sullivan and then blasts him with a dropkick!!!! Sting is quickly to his feet and tosses Sullivan into the corner!!! He climbs the turnbuckle and rains 10 punches down on Sullivan’s head!!!! Singh is back in the ring and hits Sting with a double ax handle to stop the punishment!!! Nick Patrick is trying to get Singh out of the ring, Singh and Sullivan double team Sting, they whip him into the ropes and attempt a double clothesline but Sting ducks it and comes back with a leaping clothesline for both men!!!!!! Sullivan rolls out of the ring, Sting grabs Singh and whips him into the corner

Sullivan is yelling at Singh, Singh turns to leave but Sullivan grabs him and pulls him back!! Singh tries to leave a second time and Sullivan grabs him again, only this time….SINGH SHOVES SULLIVAN!!!!!!!
SINGH IS NOW YELLING AT SULLIVAN!!!!!
SULLIVAN SLAPS SINGH!!!!!
SINGH DECKS SULLIVAN!!!!
SINGH IS STANDING OVER SULLIVAN YELLING AT HIM WHEN THE POWERS OF PAIN SLIDE INTO THE RING AND ATTACK SINGH!!!!!!!
SINGH TRIES TO FIGHT THEM OFF BUT IT IS TWO ON ONE!!! SULLIVAN DIRECTS TRAFFIC AS THEY WHIP SINGH INTO THE ROPES AND GIVE HIM A DOUBLE BOOT!!!!! SULLIVAN GIVES SINGH A DOUBLE STOMP AND THEN THE ARMY OF DARKNESS LEAVES SINGH LYING IN THE RING!!!!
Tony and Gordon say they have to sort all of this out and send us to David Crockett who is standing by in the locker room with The British Bulldogs!!!!
David: Thank you Tony, Gordon… and fans it looks like…..it looks like the Army of Darkness has just lost a member….now with me at this time are two men…..two men who Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express attacked here last week…...they are the United States Tag Team Champions The British Bulldogs
Dynamite Kid: David Crockett, last week the Midnight Express took this to another level, Davey and I came to the NWA to prove we are the best tag team in the World, and to do that you have to go against the best. Bobby Eaton, Stan Lane, from bell to bell you are world class wrestlers, but any other time you are just like that worm you hang around, a bunch of lowlifes. Well that’s fine, you want to fight dirty, we can fight with the best of them, I grew up fighting on the streets, I like fighting, Davey likes fighting, we like fighting so much, we want to fight you right here on the Superstation NEXT WEEK!!!!
Davey Boy Smith: That’s right!!! Midnight Express, you want to prove you are the best then get in the ring and fight us right here next week! And one other thing David, we know in the Main Event, Nikita Koloff is defending his Television Title against Beautiful Bobby, well Dynamite and I know too well how Jim Cornette works, so we are going to be keeping a real close eye on that one!!! And Jim Cornette, if you or any of your cronies try and get involved then The British Bulldogs will put you in your place!!!
David:The British Bulldogs aren’t backing down, we’ll see if The Midnight Express accepts the challenge!! Tony, Gordon, back to you at ringside!!!
Gordon: As far I am concerned if the Mr. Cornette takes the British Bulldogs up on their challenge then we will be in for a tremendous match next week. All I can say is I hope that he accepts the challenge!!! Fans, we will be back right after these messages!!!!

King throws everything he has at Rogers, but Bubba ain’t having any trouba!!!! Bubba beats Rocky King like he stole something!!! Rogers squashes Rocky in the corner and goes for the cover, but pulls King up at two, King refuses to just go quietly and keeps trying to fight back, but Bubba clobbers him down!!!! Bubba finally sends Rocky into the ropes and crushes him with a Bubba Slam!!!!!!!!!

Tony: Another dominating victory for Big Bubba Rogers, but Jim the British Bulldog have challenged the Midnight Express to face them here, next week!!!!
Cornette: You know next week the idiots out there in TV Land will be thanking their lucky stars because they are going to tune into World Championship Wrestling here on the Superstation and see the Midnight Express take on The British Bulldogs and take back OUR United States Tag Team Championships. Now just to refresh you morons minds about the highway robbery that the British Bulldogs pulled off when they stole our titles, you see out of the kindness of our hearts we gave these two mutts a title match at Starrcade, even though they had just got here to the NWA and they hadn’t beaten anyone of note, we decided it would be an easy payday so we took the match. But then they used MY RACKET to steal our titles!!!! But that’s OK, that’s fine because last week we showed the Bulldogs what happens when you steal something from the Midnight Express, and now these two pea brains want to get in the ring with us next week, we must have rattled their brains more than we thought because if they had HALF a lick of sense they would have handed those titles to Jim Crockett and left to go back to the Cartoon Land you came from!!!! You punks got one FLUKE win over the Midnight Express, it can never happen again in a million years, they couldn’t whip cream with an outboard motor, and we are going to prove it to the whole world next week when the Midnight Express whip the two of you from pillar to post and take back our titles!!! But first things first,, Nikita Koloff you better have that Television Title shined up, you better have it ready to go because tonight Beautiful Bobby is going to come off that top rope and drop on that pinhead of yours, cover you for the 1-2-3 and become the Television Champion and there is not a dang thing you can do about it!!!

Gordon says that Bubba is a bad man and Lex Luger may have made a really big mistake, he then lets us know that during the match he and Tony were informed that next week, as a result of what happened earlier tonight, a match between Kevin Sullivan and Mukhan Singh has been signed!!!! Gordon says we will be right back after these messages and when we return David will talk to Barry Windham

David:Ladies and gentlemen please welcome….he is the first qualifier in the Bunkhouse Stampede and some say the rightful World Heavyweight Champion….he is Barry Windham!!!!
Barry Windham, in street clothes, makes his way down to ringside. He rolls in the ring and shakes hands with David Crockett.
David:Barry, I want to congratulate you on winning the first Bunkhouse Stampede qualifier!!! Now...you are in it….you are in the big Bunkhouse Stampede on February 26th in the Superdome, live on Pay Per View…...and if you win that…..you will get another shot at the World Heavyweight Champion!!!
Barry: That’s right David!!! It wasn’t easy and I had to fight some of the toughest and meanest men in order to win, but I did it and now I am on my way to the Superdome. Ric Flair, I heard you last week say that I had my chance, that I couldn’t get the job done. Well Flair you and I both know that there were other circumstance in that match that helped you keep the World Heavyweight Title, and we also both know that if I get you in that ring again it’s going to be a lot harder for you to walk out with the title. Now I am not going to take anything away from Ric Flair, he is a 4 time World Champion, and he has held that title now for almost 3 years. I can appreciate everything he has done, but I also know, I KNOW, that I can beat you Ric Flair, and deep down in your heart you know I can beat you too, THAT’S the real reason you won’t give me a title shot, it’s not because you think I am wasting your time, it’s because you know your time is UP!!!!

Flair stops, turns around, takes off his sunglasses and throws them out of the ring, he then takes off his jacket and tosses it into the crowd, JJ is pulling on Flair’s arm trying to get him to leave, but Flair pulls away

Jesse Barr is standing in the ring in jeans and a cut off T Shirt with cowboy boots on and his fists taped up, he has come ready for action!!!
AND HERE COMES THE BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN!!!!!!!!
VALIANT IS PUSHING A SHOPPING CART OUT OF THE LOCKER ROOM, IT’S GOT A GARBAGE CAN AND ALL KINDS OF OTHER PLUNDER IN IT!!! BARR IS LOSING HIS MIND IN THE RING!!!!
Gordon:Now wait a minute, wait a minute, Jimmy Valiant looks like he is bringing the entire hardware store to the ring!!!
STREET FIGHT:
Valiant pushes the cart to the ring and throws the garbage can in!!!! Jesse Barr goes for cover!!! Valiant pulls a hockey stick out of the cart and slides into the ring!!!! Barr grabs the garbage can and lifts it over his head to hit Valiant with it but Valiant jabs him in the gut with the hockey stick!!! Barr drops the garbage can and doubles over!!! Valiant breaks the hockey stick on Barr’s back!!! Barr is in pain, Valiant picks up the metal garbage can and brings it crashing down on Barr’s head!!!! Valiant is now dancing in the ring!!!! Valiant makes a cover!!!

Valiant reaches down to pick up Barr but Barr throws powder in Valiant’s face!!!! Valiant has been blinded!!!! Barr picks up a metal clothes hanger and then uses it to choke Valiant!!!!! Tony and Gordon both make sure to mention several times that this is the kind of action you will see in the Bunkhouse Stampedes!!! Barr suplexes Valiant onto the metal garbage can!!!!!! Barr covers!!!

Valiant is on his knees and Barr starts unloading with punches!!!!! Barr picks up a cookie pan and hits Valiant with it!!!!! Barr covers!!!!

Barr is pounding on Valiant as we have to take a commercial break!!!!
We come back from the break and Barr is pulling Valiant to his feet and tosses him over the top rope to the floor below, but there is No DQ in a Street Fight!!!! Barr holds his arms up in victory to a chorus of boos!!! Barr rolls out of the ring to get Valiant! He finds his prey half under the ring, Barr goes to pull him out and gets a face full of foam from a fire extinguisher!!!!! Barr is on the floor and Valiant sprays him some more for good measure!!!!! Valiant rolls Barr back into the ring, bounces off the ropes and drops an elbow!!! COVER!!!

Valiant reaches into his tights and pulls out a chain!!!! Valiant wraps it around his hand and tries to hit Barr, but Barr blocks it!!! Barr slugs Valiant and knocks the Boogie Woogie Man to the mat!!!! Now Barr picks up the chain, he has a sick look in his eyes, Valiant gets to his feet and Barr blasts him with the chain!!! Barr mounts Valiant and beats him with rapid punches!!!! Barr gets off Valiant and raises the fist wrapped with the chain in the air!!!! Valiant is pulling himself up and the blood is free flowing from Valiant forehead!!!!!
Gordon:Jimmy Valiant now wearing the crimson mask in this pier six brawl!!!!
Barr turns around and kicks Valiant in the face to knock him back down!!! Barr with a chain assisted fist drop!!!! Barr makes the cover!!!!

VALIANT KICKS OUT!!!!!
Barr jumps up, madder than hell that Valiant kicked out, he throws the chain away and is telling Valiant to get up, yelling at him and motioning his hands, Valiant gets to his feet, turns around and Barr kicks him in the gut, Barr grabs Valiant and PILEDRIVES HIM IN THE CENTER OF THE RING!!! BARR COVERS!!!!

Barr isn’t done, he pulls away from Nick Patrick as Patrick raises his hand in victory and grabs Valiant’s arm!!!!
Tony:I don’t like the looks of this, we have seen Barr do this before, someone needs to stop him, the match is over!!!
Barr takes Valiant’s arm and locks in the Breaker Barr!!!! Tommy Young is yelling at Barr to let go when Barr twists Valiant’s arm!!!! Valiant screams in pain, Gordon says he heard it snap, he heard the arm snap!!! Barr lets go of Valiant and stands up, Don Kernodle, Mike Graham and Mike Rotundo rush out to the ring, Barr makes a motion like he is burying Valiant with dirt with his foot, Rotundo shoves Barr as he is none too happy with all of this. Barr simply grins and leaves the ring.
Gordon:I have been doing this a long time now, and I have to say that may have been one of the most violent street fights I have ever seen. While we try and get some order here, let’s take a quick commercial break, we’ll be right back after this.
We return from the break and Rotundo is helping Valiant up the aisle while Valiant clutches his arm! Rotundo is encouraging the fans to applaud for Valiant.
Gordon: Jimmy Valiant is head to the locker room and it looks like that arm is indeed broken, before get to our next match let’s go to the back and to David Crockett who is with a man who is making his return to the NWA, “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin!
David is standing in the back grinning ear to ear while Jimmy Garvin, in street clothes and wearing sunglasses is standing next to him.
David:That’s right, I am here with “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin, and Jimmy, welcome back!!!!
Garvin:How ya doing David!!!! I gotta tell you something, the “Gorgeous One” is so happy to be back here in the NWA, with Jim Crockett Promotions on the Superstation with the best wrestlers in the World. I am really excited, I mean everything is happening all at once right now, we got the Bunkhouse Stampedes and you gotta know I’m signing up for a bunch of those David!!!
Suddenly, off camera Jesse Barr makes his presence felt as he comes through the curtain!!!
Barr: IS THIS SOME KINDA SICK JOKE?!!? David Crockett, what are you doing interviewing this loser??? I broke his arm back in September and sent him packing, and I just got done doing the wrestling business the biggest favor it’s ever had done for it by getting rid of that homeless street trash Jimmy Valiant just now!!! But instead of talking to me about my DOMINATING victory, you are back here talking to YESTERDAY’S NEWS!!! Listen Garvin, you better turn around and get out of her before I break your arm again and send you back home to that HAG you-----
Barr doesn’t get to finish his sentence as his dissing of Precious is too much for Garvin to handle and he slugs Barr!!! Garvin has Barr reeling with several more punches, Garvin grabs Barr by the hair and runs him into the roll up door behind them!!!!! Security arrives to pull Garvin away as we go back to ringside and Tony and Gordon!!!!
Tony: I think it is pretty obvious that Jimmy Garvin is back in the NWA and hasn’t forgotten what Jesse Barr did to him Gordon!!!!
Gordon:Indeed Tony! Jesse Barr is a tough individual, but he seems to be picking more fights than he can fight. Now let’s go to the ring for our next match!!!

As always the Road Warriors are human wrecking machines, they hit the ring hard and fast with reckless abandon!!!! Wolfe and Patterson try to put up a fight but they are no match for the Legion of Doom!!!! Hawk crushes Wolfe with a flying shoulder tackle, tags in Animal who tosses Wolfe into the ropes and catches him with a Powerslam!!!! JJ: If I may, what I am sure Lex is saying is that only one person can win a Bunkhouse Stampede, and at some point Lex and Mr. Rogers would have had to fight each other to decide the victor, being the competitor Lex is he saw an opening and took it, it wasn’t anything personal, only business. And I would advise Mr. Cornette to maybe pull the big man aside and explain things to him before he causes an incident that makes us put Mr. Cornette and all his men in the Horsemen’s crosshairs, which is something I know he does not want!!!
