The strange alliance of Dave ‘Fit’ Finlay and the hulking Angel of Death has been the surprise of this match - they basically cleared out half of the competitors themselves! Canadian fans know that Bad News Allen backs down from no man so he challenges the two bring it on. Coage tries to fight them both off with right hands, but the numbers game catches up with him. Finlay goes to scoop Coage into a back-breaker, but Bad News slips out and drills Finlay with the enziguri! The momentum carries Finlay over the top rope and out! However, Angel of Death of pounces with some strikes across the back. Bad News is fighting back, but from the floor Finlay hooks his leg. Bad News tries to kick him away, but now Angel of Death lumbers towards him with his Claw hand! However, Coage ducks down and back-drops Angel of Death up and tumbling down onto Finlay! Bad News Allen wins the $10,000 in his return to Canada - quite a nice way to kick off Christmas! Finlay is furious on the floor as he stews with the Angel of Death.

International TV Title Match
Owen Hart (C) vs. Chris Benoit
Before the match even begins, Rollerball Rocco is out to once again introduce himself to the fans and says it’s great to see two young wrestlers he obviously inspired competing tonight. Benoit and Hart are polite to Rocco, and then shake one another’s hand as we get under way. These two are close friends, but they throw caution to the wind here with the title on the line. Benoit nearly the win with a belly-to-back release suplex. He goes up top for the flying headbutt, but Owen rolls away. A dazed Benoit then falls prey to a missile dropkick from Owen that puts him down for the count. After the match, Owen Hart helps his friend Chris Benoit up and they shake hands. Rollerball Rocco then steps back into the ring and challenges Owen Hart to put the title on the line against “the original” (aka himself). Hart tells Rocco he’ll face anyone and that includes the Rollerball.

Strap Match
Rick Martel vs. ‘Gorgeous’ Jimmy Garvin
Gorgeous Jimmy tries his best to play keep away from Martel through the early going. However, Martel uses the strap to his advantage and whips Garvin red across the back. When Rick Martel goes to pick up Jimmy Garvin for a suplex, Gorgeous Jimmy pulls something out of his tights and jabs Martel in the throat. Garvin then plants Martel with a DDT with the strap wrapped around his neck. Jimmy Garvin with the cover to steal a victory over Rick Martel in front of Ricky’s hometown crowd. Garvin flees as soon as the strap is removed, and a furious Rick Martel is close on his trail once he gets back to his feet.

Six-Man Tag Team Match
Bruiser Brody, Stan Hansen and Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Wild Bill Irwin, Outlaw Ron Bass and One Man Gang
The crowd are on their feet as Brody arrives swinging his chain and Hansen hurls his rope all over the place on their way down to the ring. It’s a war from moment one between these six men, especially since One Man Gang doesn’t back down even an inch throughout the fight. However, the totally unleashed fury of Brody and Hansen is just a force to be reckoned with as Stan hurls Irwin off the ropes and drills him with the Lariat. Brody tags in, climbs up and leaps off with a vicious knee drop across the chest on Bill Irwin for the automatic three count. Irwin has to be carted off on a stretcher after the match.

International Tag Team Title
Samoan Swat Team w/ Madusa vs. Fabulous Rougeaus
Jacques and Raymond Rougeau are out for revenge after the Samoans ended their younger brother Armand’s professional wrestling career a few weeks back. The Fabulous Rougeaus hit the ring and this one never truly gets under way. All four men brawl all over the ringside area before referee Teddy Long can even call for the back. Jacques Rougeau grabs a steel chair and bashes it over Fatu’s head - to no effect! A second time - to not effect! Jacques gets wise and bashes Fatu across the back and that sends the Samoan out to the floor. The Rougeaus now shoot Samu off the ropes - and they double back drop him onto the chair! Samu rolls out to the floor and as the Samoans go to re-enter the ring, Madusa grabs them by their hair and drags them away! The Rougeaus are challenging the Samoans to return to ring as they fire up this Quebec City crowd. This feud is far from over.

International Heavyweight Title vs. PWF and United National Heavyweight Titles
Terry ‘Bamm Bamm’ Gordy w/ Michael P.S. Hayes vs. The Great Tenryu w/ Giant Baba
The pace of this one is surprising to begin as they begin brawling while Tenryu was still on his way to the ring. Tenryu is totally vicious and he throws Terry Gordy into the ring so the match can get started. Tenryu is now stalking Terry as the champion tries to get up. Tenryu looks ready to pounce here. Terry leaps up just in time and sends Tenryu sprawling with a big lariat. Terry comes off the ropes with a shoulder-block, but Tenryu is able to level him in the stomach with a sidekick. Tenryu sends Terry Gordy across the ring and Gordy crashes into the opposite turnbuckle, and slumps down onto the canvas. Tenryu comes over and then begins choking the life out of Terry with his boot, earning several warnings from Teddy Long.
Great Tenryu picks up Terry Gordy and goes to snap suplex him into the center of the ring, but Gordy puts on the breaks and turns the move into a spinning neckbreaker! Gordy gets back to his feet and grabs Tenryu, only to plant him in a shoulder-breaker. Terry makes the cover, but Tenryu is able to kick out at two! Terry lands several knee drops to the back and even applies a Camel Clutch, but eventually releases the hold when Tenryu refuses to submit! Terry pulls Tenryu into the center of the ring and applies a side headlock, but Great Tenryu fights his way back to his feet and delivers a series of elbows to Terry Gordy’s back.
Great Tenryu manages to shoot Gordy off the ropes and he comes back at Terry with a huge leaping enziguri kick! Tenryu is right there with the cover, but Terry is able to kick out again! Tenryu is now going for his trademark back suplex, but Terry puts on the break! He uses all his strength to reverse and propel Tenryu crashing into the corner. This time, they both are slow to get back to their feet, but when they do, Tenryu regains the advantage with some vicious chops.
Great Tenryu is able to score with a double underhook suplex and bridges it into a cover, but Gordy manages to kick out at the last second again! Tenryu pulls Gordy to his feet and decks Bamm Bamm with a shoot kick to the gut, and then he hits the ropes. Terry ducks a clothesline attempt and now he criss-crosses the ropes himself! Gordy goes air-born with a cross body block! How agile is the International Champion! Michael Hayes is cheering for his Freebird brother to make the cover, which Gordy does to once again get a two count.
Terry Gordy now slides his thumb across his throat, signaling the end! Gordy scoops Tenryu up, takes a running start and drives him into the canvas with a running Bamm Bamm Slamm! Gordy with the cover now and he gets the one… two… no! Tenryu kicks out! A flustered Gordy tries to bring Tenryu to his feet, only for Tenryu to once again fend him off with some kicks to the body. However, Gordy charges back in with a knee lift to the gut, pulls him in for a piledriver… but now lifts Tenry over his head…
Bamm Bamm now hurls Tenryu down to the canvas neck-first in a move we now know as the Powerbomb! The crowd in Quebec City are stunned - they’ve never seen anything like that devastating move. Gordy with the cover and this time it’s one… two… three! It’s over! That devastating move finished off Tenryu. In fact, Tenryu has to be helped from the ring after the match as Freebird Michael Hayes grabs the International, PWF and United National Titles and leaps into his big brother’s arms! Gordy draps all three belts over his shoulder as International president Lou Thesz and All-Japan’s Giant Baba congratulate him.
Lou Thesz: Mr. Baba and myself would like to congratulate you Mr. Gordy on your incredible victory. Now that you hold all three of these prestigious titles, we will officially recognise you as the Triple Crown Champion! Now, rest up… I’ll announce your first challenger very soon.
