Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura open the program.
McMahon, “Welcome to ‘WWF Superstars of Wrestling’. Jesse, ‘Survivor Series’ is over, and it was quite a night.”
Ventura, “McMahon, it was exciting. Mr. Perfect came close to winning the Intercontinental Title, but the big news is the ‘Macho Man’. He pinned the WWF Champion!”
McMahon, “‘Mean’ Gene will talk to the ‘Macho Man’ later, and we have two big main events, first of all, ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper meets Nikolai Volkoff, and the Hart Foundation, back with Jimmy Hart, take on the Rockers. Let’s get things started with, two newcomers, The Von Erich Brothers.”
Match #1
The Von Erich Brothers vs. Terry Gibbs and Brooklyn Brawler
The popular Von Erich's surprised everyone by showing up, and winning at ‘Survivor Series”. Gibbs and the Brawler are tough veterans. Kevin starts with the Brawler. Brawler lives up to his name, but Kevin is ready for it. He matches him blow for blow. Gibbs tries his hand, but fares no better. Kerry tags in, and finishes Gibbs with the iron claw.
Winners-The Von Erich Brothers
Match #2
Non-Title Match
The Ultimate Warrior (Intercontinental Champion) vs. George South
The Warrior hits the ring and South is on the run. Warrior is a house afire. South is a veteran, and he survives as long as he can, but finally Warrior traps him. He slams South, and hits a big splash for the win.
Winner-Ultimate Warrior
Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth are with “Mean” Gene Okerlund.
Okerlund, “With me are the ‘Macho Man’, and the lovely Miss Elizabeth. Randy Savage, you pinned Ted DiBiase at ‘Survivor Series’, the Title wasn’t on the line, but this has to make you the Number One Contender.”
Savage, “That’s right Gene Okerlund, that’s right! The ‘Macho Man’ is the number one contender, yes he is! DiBiase, ‘Million Dollar Man’, when I get done with you, you won’t be worth two cents, no you won’t! The ‘Macho Man’ will be the Champion, OH YEA!”
Okerlund, “The ‘Million Dollar Man’ will have to face the ‘Macho Man’ one on one, it has to happen!”
Match #3
Randy “Macho Man” Savage vs. Barry Horowitz
Horowitz will be a stiff test for Savage. Barry is very aggressive. He uses rights and lefts to dish out punishment. Savage fights him off and takes over. He slams Horowitz to the mat and climbs the top rope. He lands the big elbow for the win.
Winner-Randy Savage
Match #4
Bad News Brown vs. George “The Animal” Steele
The unpredictable “Animal” meets the tough guy from Harlem. Steele goes into his usual histrionics, and Bad News seems confused. Steele attacks, and is control for a few minutes. Bad News rallies he pounds away at George and finishes him with the ghetto blaster.
Winner-Bad News Brown
Gene Okerlund is with Roddy Piper.
Okerlund, “With me is ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper. Mr. Piper, you have been chasing Ted DiBiase, for some time. Now Randy Savage is looking for the WWF Title. Many experts think one of you will take the title from the ‘Million Dollar Man’.”
Piper, “Ole Money Bags is a popular guy, ain’t he? Look, I like the ‘Macho Man’, and he’s a great wrestler, but I got a bunch of kids, and they eat a lot. I want the title, and I’ll fight like crazy to get it. If Savage wins it, good for him, because then I’m after him. RP don’t play around! DiBiase, one of us is going to beat you, I’m betting on myself!”
Okerlund, “The ‘Million Dollar Man’ is the Champion, but for how long?”
Match #5
Nikolai Volkoff w/Slick vs. Roddy Piper
Volkoff and Slick come to ring first. Slick takes the mic
Slick, “Everyone stand while Brother Nikolai sings his National Anthem, show him some respect! Don’t be stupid Americans!”
The crowd boos loudly.
As Volkoff finishes, Roddy Piper comes to the ring. He takes the mic.
Piper, “Listen you big, ugly, Commie fool! You come to this great country, sing that song, and you can’t sing, and you insult these good people I was born in Scotland, and I grew up in Canada, but now I’m as American as apple pie! I’m not going to let you do this!”
Piper tosses the mic away and attacks Volkoff. We have a pier six brawl. Both men slug it out. The bigger Volkoff gets the better of things. He tries to scoop up Piper, but Roddy blocks it. He backdrops the big Russian. Now the “Rowdy” Scot is in control. He works over Volkoff, and clamps on the sleeper. Big Nikolai fights it, but he is out. Roddy Piper is victorious.
Winner-Roddy Piper
Match #6
The Rockers vs. The Hart Foundation w/Jimmy Hart
The Harts have returned to Jimmy’s family. That makes them even more dangerous. The Rockers are one of the best young teams in wrestling. This will be a good one. Bret Hart and Marty Jannetty open the contest. The pace is quick, as both of these talented wrestlers go at it. Hart goes for a sleeper, but Marty gets to the ropes. Jannetty rolls up Hart, but Neidhart jumps in the break up the count. Michaels tags in. He may be the best young wrestler in the sport. Hart tags in Neidhart, and the big “Anvil” goes after Michaels. Shawn uses his speed to reverse things. The match goes back and forth until all four men end up in the ring. Referee Dick Kroll tries to get control of the match, but he can’t. He calls for the bell, and disqualifies both teams.
Result-Double Disqualification
McMahon and Ventura close the show.
McMahon, “Jesse, that was a wild tag team match.”
Ventura, “Most definitely. The tag team scene is the WWF is as hot as it’s ever been.”
McMahon, “Let’s talk about next week. We have an Intercontinental Title match. The Ultimate Warrior will defend the Title against the Honky Tonk Man.”
Ventura, “The Ultimate Maniac may just be an ex-champion come next week.”
McMahon, “That could be. We will also talk with, the WWF Champion, the ‘Million Dollar Man’. Join us next week for more WWF action!”
