Monsoon, “Hello everyone, and welcome to the Survivor Series! Jess, this is a new concept.”
Ventura, “That’s right Gorilla! The action is going to be intense. I think Hulk Hogan, and Randy Savage are in for a surprise, they may not survive!”
Monsoon, “That remains to be seen. We have four ‘Survivor Series’ matches for you, and we will talk about those in a moment, but the Intercontinental Title is up for grabs, the Ultimate Warrior defends against Mr. Perfect.”
Ventura, “The Ultimate Maniac..”
Monsoon, “That’s Ultimate Warrior.”
Ventura, “That’s what I said, Ultimate Maniac. Perfect will prove tonight, he is the ‘Perfect’ wrestler.”
Monsoon, “‘Survivor Series’ is a new concept, and here are the rules.
With two teams locked in battle, the bout only ends when an entire team has been eliminated from action. Superstars can be eliminated in any of the following ways:
Pinfall
Submission
Count-out
Disqualification
Once eliminated, a Superstar must leave ringside and return to the locker room. The single-elimination format allows for the balance of power to continually shift throughout the match,.”
Ventura, “That’s going to make for very dangerous situations, I can’t wait to see how Hogan handles it.”
Monsoon, “Let’s get to Howard Finkel to get us underway.”
Match #1
Brutus Beefcake, Tony Atlas, Jimmy Snuka and Mil Mascaras vs. Honky Tonk Man, Earthquake, Nikolai Volkoff, and Bad News Brown w/Jimmy Hart and Slick
The captains open the contest. Honky stalls, and Beefcake struts. Finally, they lock up. Beefcake grabs a side headlock, bit HTM shoots him into the ropes and drops him with a shoulder tackle. “Colonel” Jimmy Hart shouts encouragement through his megaphone. Volkoff tags in, and begins to hammer away at Beefcake. Brutus Is desperate, and tags in Atlas. Tony fights back, but Volkoff is too much. He gets Atlas up in the breaker, and Tony submits.
First Elimination-Tony Atlas
Mil Mascaras, the Mexican legend, enters for his team. He flys around the ring, and Volkoff is in trouble. The Russian tags in Bad News Brown. The tough guy from Harlem goes right after Mascaras. They battle it out and end up on the floor, still slugging it out. Referee Dick Kroll’s count reaches ten. Both men have been counted out.
Second and Third Eliminations-Mil Mascaras and Bad News Brown
Now it’s three on two. Volkoff and Jimmy Stuka are in the ring. Stuka draws on the cheers of the Coliseum crowd. He is able to slam Volkoff, and then hit the Superfly splash for the pin. It’s two on two now.
Fourth Elimination-Nikolai Volkoff
Earthquake jumps Snuka from behind. He overpowers the Fijian, and hits the sit down splash for the pin.
Fifth Elimination-Jimmy Snuka
Now Brutus must take on Honky and Earthquake. The big Canadian traps Brutus in the corner and goes to work on him. He pounds away, and the “Barber” is in a bad way. He fights back, but the odds are against him. Honey tags in and uses the Shake, Rattle, and Roll for the win.
Winners-Honky Tonk Man, Earthquake, Nikolai Volkoff, and Bad News Brown
“Mean” Gene Okerlund is with Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and Mr. Perfect.
Okerlund, “With me are Bobby ‘The Weasel’ Heenan, and Mr. Perfect.”
Heenan, “Watch it Okerlund, I’ll hide your plane ticket, and you’ll have to stay here in Cleveland.”
Okerlund, “Alright, Mr. Perfect takes on the Ultimate Warrior, with a chance at the Intercontinental Title. That’s a tall order.”
Heenan, “What are you talking about? Perfect is the finest wrestler in the sport. The Warrior is a big, dumb, muscle head who can’t wrestle his way out of a wet paper sack. Perfect will tie him in a knot. With his skill, and my brain, that title is as good as ours.”
Okerlund, “These two are very confident.”
Match #2
Glamour Girls, Bull Nakano, and Dump Matsumoto vs Rockin' Robin, Velvet McIntyre, and The Jumping Bomb Angels
This one should be exciting. The Glamour Girls work together and punish Rockin’ Robin. Martin and Kai tag in and out, and keep Robin in their corner. Kai uses a body slam, and cover to eliminate Robin.
First Elimination-Rockin’ Robin
Now it’s Bull’s turn. She works over McIntyre. Both teams tag in and out. Noriyo Tateno, of the Jumping Bomb Angels, ends up in the ring with Judy Martin. Tateno hits a dropkick, covers Martin, and referee Joey Marella counts the fall. It’s three on three.
Second Elimination-Judy Martin
The pace of the match is picking up. Both teams are pulling out all stops. Matsumoto catches McIntyre with a side suplex, and covers her for the pin. Now it’s three on two.
Third Elimination-Velvet McIntyre
The Jumping Bomb Angels are by themselves. This doesn’t seem to bother them. They tag in and out, and their opponents. They use a double dropkick to finish off Lailani Kai. We are down to two on two.
Fourth Elimination-Leilani Kai
The four Japanese wrestlers are face to face. Matsumoto and Nakano have the size advantage, and they us it. Itzuki Yamazaki is in trouble. Matsumoto and Nakano double team Yamasaki, but she escapes. She tags in Tateno, who is a house afire. She rolls up Nakano, and Marella counts three.
Fifth Elimination-Bill Nakano
In the confusion, Matsumoto enters the ring. The Angels land a double dropkick on the surprised Dump. Tateno covers her for the fall. The Jumping Bomb Angels are the survivors.
Winners-Rockin’ Robin, Velvet McIntyre and The Jumping Bomb Angels
Okerlund is with the Ultimate Warrior.
Okerlund, “With me is, the Intercontinental Champion, the Ultimate Warrior. Warrior, you heard Mr. Perfect, and Bobby Herman, they think they have this one in the bag.”
Warrior, “Perfect and Heenan are fools! They believe that the power of the Warrior is diminished! That is not so. I have walked through fire and brimstone! I have seen monsters in the wrestling ring, Perfect does not scare me, I fear no man! Heenan is a weasel with no brain! He is an inconsequential loudmouth, who will be swept away by the power of the...Ultimate...Warrior!”
Match #3
Tag Team Survival Match
Both teams have mystery teams to introduce. Mr. Fuji leads Demolition to the ring, followed by Jimmy Hart, and the Nasty Boys. Hart takes the mic.
Hart, “The wrestling business changes all the time. The people with the most brains, and money, usually win, and that’s me. Returning to my ‘Family’,...the Hart
Foundation!”
Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart come to the ring. They have rejoined the ‘Family’! The crowd murmurs. The Rockers, Jim Powers and Paul Romo come to the ring. There is one more team to come. Howard Finkel has the mic.
Finkle, “The last team in our match, from Dallas, TX, Kerry, and Kevin, the Von Erich Brothers!”
The Cleveland crowd explode as the popular Von Erich's come down the aisle. The Von Erichs are in the WWF! Earl Hebner will try to control the action. It will be Kevin Von Erich an Bret Hart to open the match. Remember, when one member of a team is eliminated, both members of the team are out. Kevin and Bret put on a wrestling clinic. Bret rolls up Kevin, but he kicks out. Hart tags in Ax, and the bigger member of Demolition takes over. He tries to overpower Kevin, but Von Erich tags in Jim Powers. Ax tags in Smash, and the other member of the World Tag Team Champions works over Powers. Smash uses a power slam, and the cover. Referee Eral Hebner counts the fall. Powers and Paul Roma have been eliminated.
First Elimination-The Young Stallions
Smash and Marty Jannetty stand eye to eye. The Rockers would love to win the titles, and a win here would give them momentum. Jeannette uses his speed to control the action. He tags in Sags, and the Nasty Boy goes to work he pounds away at Marty. Knobby tags in, and he goes to work. The action continues until Shawn Michaels superkicks Sags, and the Nasty Boys are eliminated.
Second Elimination-Nasty Boys
Jim Neidhart enters the ring. Michaels uses speed to control the action. Jannetty tags in continues the attack. Cleverly, “The Anvil” maneuvers Jannetty into the wrong corner. Demolition and the Hart Foundation go to work. Marty fight back, but he is in too much trouble. Hart tags in and clamps on the sharpshooter. Jannetty submits, and the Rockers are eliminated.
Third Elimination-The Rockers
It’s the newcomers from Texas against two teams. Bret Hart locks up with Kerry Von Erich. The “Modern Day Warrior” is on his game. He grabs a side headlock, and grinds away at Bret. Kevin tags in, and continues the attack. Bret is desperate, and he is able to escape and tag in Neidhart. The Anvil goes after Kevin, but the Texan is ready. He meets Neidhart with a dropkick. Jim is stunned. Kevin tags in Kerry, and he clamps on the iron claw. Neidhart fights, but he is out. The Hart Foundation is eliminated.
Fourth Elimination-The Hart Foundation
It’s two on two now. The WWF Tag Team Champions and the Texans. Ax steps in to meet Kerry. They lock up, and Kerry takes Ax down. He works over the veteran, and the Coliseum crowd gets even louder. Smash runs in to save his partner, and Kevin comes in as well. We have a pier six brawl. In the confusion, Kerry hits the discus punch on Ax. He covers him, and Hebner counts three! The Von Erich's pin the Champions!
Winners-The Rockers, The Young Stallions, and The Von Erichs
We see Vince McMahon seated at a desk.
McMahon, “Good evening. I hope you are enjoying the action on our Pay per View. The WWF provides the best in wrestling action. I want to talk about our next big event. On Sunday night, January 22, we will present the ‘Royal Rumble’. We will be at the Civic Center, in Providence, RI, bell time is 8:00 PM. The ‘Royal Rumble’ is a unique concept, much like ‘Survivor Series’. Twenty men will compete, and the rules are as such. Two men will begin in the ring. Every two minutes another man will enter. The only way to be eliminated is to be thrown over the top rope. The match will continue until on one man remains, and he will be the winner. Here is the big announcement, the event will be broadcast, live, on the USA Network. Mark your calendars for January 22.”
Monsoon, and Ventura are in the announce position.
Monsoon, “Jess, the ‘Royal Rumble’, what a concept!”
Ventura, “That’s right Monsoon, they’ve taken a dangerous match, the battle royal, and made it even more dangerous.”
Monsoon, “Imagine if you draw one of the first two numbers. You will have to go through 19 other wrestlers, and probably over an hour of in ring time.”
Ventura, “You definitely want a high number.”
Monsoon, “It’s time for the Intercontinental Title match. Who ‘ya got Jesse?”
Ventura, “I’m going with the wrestler. Mr. Perfect will beat the Ultimate Maniac.”
Monsoon, “We will see in a few minutes.
Match #4
Intercontinental Championship
The Ultimate Warrior (Champion) vs. Mr. Perfect w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan
Perfect, the Brain, and referee Joey Marcella wait in the ring. The Warrior’s music hits, and he races down the aisle. He goes right after Perfect, and he and Heenan take to the floor. Perfect then returns to the ring, and they lock up. Perfect tries to wrestle. It works for a time, but Warrior begins to use his size a strength. He slams Perfect, and goes for a splash. Perfect gets his knees up, and Warrior hits hard. Now Perfect is in control. Perfect goes for a Perfect-plex, but Warrior blocks it. He shoots the Challenger into the ropes and drops him with a clothesline. Warrior goes for a cover, but Perfect kicks out. The pace of the match increases. Perfect has the stamina advantage, but the Warrior is very explosive. They continue to battle it out. Both men go through the ropes. They continue to fight on the arena floor. Marella’s count reaches ten. Both men have been counted out. This settles nothing.
Result-Double Count Out
Monsoon and Ventura are in the announce position.
Monsoon, “That didn’t settle anything Jess.”
Ventura, “It proved the Ultimate Maniac is a coward. He went to the floor to get counted out. He knew he couldn't beat Perfect, so he went for a count out.”
Monsoon, “Highly unlikely! Now it’s time for our main event. Let’s go to Sean Mooney, and Ted DiBiase’s team.”
Mooney is with Ted DiBiase, Virgil, Andre the Giant, and Bam Bam bigelow, as well as Bobby Heenan, and Slick.
Mooney, “I am here with what is being called ‘The Million Dollar Team’. Mr. DiBiase, you have a great team, but you face a tough task.”
DiBiase, “HAHAHAHA! Tough task, you say! Look at this team, Virgil, the massive Bam Bam Bigelow, the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’, and the Champion, the ‘Million Dollar Man’! Do you think anyone can beat us? Bobby, tell them!”
Hernan, “Mr. DiBiase is right. This is the strongest team ever assembled, and I’ll tell you this, we have an ‘Ace in the Hole’. We can’t lose!”
Mooney, “What does that mean?”
DiBiase, “HAHAHAHAHA!”
Mooney, “Let’s go to ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund.”
Okerlund is with Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Jake Roberts, and Roddy Piper.
Okerlund, “Gentlemen, you heard DiBiase and his team. They plan on winning, and they have an ‘Ace in the Hole’.”
Hogan, “You know something ‘Mean’ Gene, we don’t care what they have brother! Look at my team, Jake the Snake, the Macho Man, and Hot Rod!”
Savage, “Ted DiBiase, you’re living on borrowed time, borrowed time oh yea! Tonight, we beat you, and then I take that title from you, book it! Oh yea!”
Piper, “‘Million Dollar Man’? RP ain’t got no million dollars! My wife takes it all! And Boobs, an ‘Ace in the hole’? You don’t have no ace, you got a Joker, and it’s not ‘Jokers Wild!”
Roberts, “Ace in the hole huh? Don’t stick your hand down that hole, Damien just might be waiting for you.”
Hogan, “You heard ‘em ‘Mean’ Gene, were ready for anything, let’s get this started!”
Monsoon, and Ventura are in the announce position.
Monsoon, “What is the Brain talking about? Ace in the Hole?”
Ventura, “Ha, I know what he means, look at the ring.”
The camera pans to the ring where referee Danny Davis is standing.
Monsoon, “No, not Danny Davis! This is a miscarriage of justice!”
Ventura, “No, it’s an ‘Ace in the Hole’!”
Match #5
Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, and Jake Roberts w/Miss Elizabeth vs. Ted DiBiase, Virgil, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Andre the Giant w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and Slick
Look at the talent in the ring. Will Danny Davis be the difference? Did DiBiase’s money get him assigned to this match? So many questions. Randy Savage starts for his team. DiBiase sends Virgil out his. Savage is all over the bodyguard. Virgil tries to tag out, DiBiase is reluctant to tag in, so Bigelow. The monster from New Jersey locks up with Savage. They go back and forth. Savage tags in Roberts, and the “Snake” slows the pace. Roberts is the master of psychology. Jake is on his game until he gets too close to the corner. Andre grabs him, and now Jake is in trouble. Any time one of Jake’s partners tries to help. Davis sends him back. Roberts fights gamely, but Andre slams him, and covers him.Davis counts the fall.
First Elimination-Jake Roberts
Roddy Piper is next for his team. No one wants a piece of him so Virgil gets the chance. Piper can brawl with the best of them. He overwhelms both of them, and puts Virgil away with the sleeper. It’s all even.
Second Elimination-Virgil
Here’s what people are waiting for. The Champion steps in the ring, it’s Piper vs. DiBiase. They go back and forth and the fans are on the edge of their seats. This is a war. Piper begins to gain an advantage. He rolls up Ted, but the Champion grabs the tights and reverses it. DiBiase uses the ropes for leverage. Davis doesn't see this, and counts three! Piper argues, but to no avail.
Third Elimination-Roddy Piper
Now DiBiase’s team has the edge. Hogan steps through the ropes for his team. Andre demands to tagged in. Ted obliges. This is a “Battle of the Giants”. The two behemoths lock up. Andre is able to chop Hogan to the mat. He stomps away, and the Hulkster is in trouble. The crowd gets louder, and Hogan begins to “Hulk Up”. Both men throw haymakers. They go through the ropes and end up on the floor. Davis counts slowly, but he reaches ten. Both men are counted out.
Fourth and Fifth Eliminations-Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant
Savage is in trouble. He must now face Ted DiBiase and Bam Bam Bigelow. Bigelow is first. The fast, and agile big man goes right after the Macho Man. Savage fights like a. Ad man. Slick shouts encouragement from ringside. Savage takes over and slams the big man. He covers Bigelow. Davis gives one of the slowest counts in wrestling history, but he counts three!
Sixth Elimination-Bam Bam Bigelow
DiBiase jumps Savage from behind. Randy goes down, and DiBiase puts the boots to him. Davis stands back and allows the attack to continue. DiBiase pulls Savage to his feet, and clamps on the Million Dollar Dream. This is it! No, Savage fights his way to the ropes! Davis fails to call for the break, or count! Finally, he calls for the break, it Savage is in trouble. The attack continues. Elizabeth is frantic at ringside. DiBiase goes for the Dream again, but Savage blocks it. He lands lefts and rights, and now the Champion is in trouble. Savage slams DiBiase. He climbs to the top rope and lands the elbow. Davis is slow to start the count. He begins 1……….2……...3! He had to do it. The Macho Man pins the World Champion! Savage and Elizabeth celebrate as Hogan, Roberts and Piper return to the ring! What a match!

Monsoon, and Ventura close the show.
Monsoon, “Jesse, Randy ‘Macho Man’ Savage pins the World Champion! In spite of Danny Davis.”
Ventura, “Hey, he counted three didn’t he?”
Monsoon, “Very slowly!”
Ventura, “That’s your opinion! Look, I like the Macho Man. He’s one of the best in the business, I’ve never doubted that.”
Monsoon, “We are headed into 1988 with so much momentum! Join us next time, good night everyone!”

Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart come to the ring. They have rejoined the ‘Family’! The crowd murmurs. The Rockers, Jim Powers and Paul Romo come to the ring. There is one more team to come. Howard Finkel has the mic.
Finkle, “The last team in our match, from Dallas, TX, Kerry, and Kevin, the Von Erich Brothers!”
The Cleveland crowd explode as the popular Von Erich's come down the aisle. The Von Erichs are in the WWF! Earl Hebner will try to control the action. It will be Kevin Von Erich an Bret Hart to open the match. Remember, when one member of a team is eliminated, both members of the team are out. Kevin and Bret put on a wrestling clinic. Bret rolls up Kevin, but he kicks out. Hart tags in Ax, and the bigger member of Demolition takes over. He tries to overpower Kevin, but Von Erich tags in Jim Powers. Ax tags in Smash, and the other member of the World Tag Team Champions works over Powers. Smash uses a power slam, and the cover. Referee Eral Hebner counts the fall. Powers and Paul Roma have been eliminated.
First Elimination-The Young Stallions
Smash and Marty Jannetty stand eye to eye. The Rockers would love to win the titles, and a win here would give them momentum. Jeannette uses his speed to control the action. He tags in Sags, and the Nasty Boy goes to work he pounds away at Marty. Knobby tags in, and he goes to work. The action continues until Shawn Michaels superkicks Sags, and the Nasty Boys are eliminated.
Second Elimination-Nasty Boys
Jim Neidhart enters the ring. Michaels uses speed to control the action. Jannetty tags in continues the attack. Cleverly, “The Anvil” maneuvers Jannetty into the wrong corner. Demolition and the Hart Foundation go to work. Marty fight back, but he is in too much trouble. Hart tags in and clamps on the sharpshooter. Jannetty submits, and the Rockers are eliminated.
Third Elimination-The Rockers
It’s the newcomers from Texas against two teams. Bret Hart locks up with Kerry Von Erich. The “Modern Day Warrior” is on his game. He grabs a side headlock, and grinds away at Bret. Kevin tags in, and continues the attack. Bret is desperate, and he is able to escape and tag in Neidhart. The Anvil goes after Kevin, but the Texan is ready. He meets Neidhart with a dropkick. Jim is stunned. Kevin tags in Kerry, and he clamps on the iron claw. Neidhart fights, but he is out. The Hart Foundation is eliminated.
Fourth Elimination-The Hart Foundation
It’s two on two now. The WWF Tag Team Champions and the Texans. Ax steps in to meet Kerry. They lock up, and Kerry takes Ax down. He works over the veteran, and the Coliseum crowd gets even louder. Smash runs in to save his partner, and Kevin comes in as well. We have a pier six brawl. In the confusion, Kerry hits the discus punch on Ax. He covers him, and Hebner counts three! The Von Erich's pin the Champions!
Winners-The Rockers, The Young Stallions, and The Von Erichs
We see Vince McMahon seated at a desk.
McMahon, “Good evening. I hope you are enjoying the action on our Pay per View. The WWF provides the best in wrestling action. I want to talk about our next big event. On Sunday night, January 22, we will present the ‘Royal Rumble’. We will be at the Civic Center, in Providence, RI, bell time is 8:00 PM. The ‘Royal Rumble’ is a unique concept, much like ‘Survivor Series’. Twenty men will compete, and the rules are as such. Two men will begin in the ring. Every two minutes another man will enter. The only way to be eliminated is to be thrown over the top rope. The match will continue until on one man remains, and he will be the winner. Here is the big announcement, the event will be broadcast, live, on the USA Network. Mark your calendars for January 22.”
Monsoon, and Ventura are in the announce position.
Monsoon, “Jess, the ‘Royal Rumble’, what a concept!”
Ventura, “That’s right Monsoon, they’ve taken a dangerous match, the battle royal, and made it even more dangerous.”
Monsoon, “Imagine if you draw one of the first two numbers. You will have to go through 19 other wrestlers, and probably over an hour of in ring time.”
Ventura, “You definitely want a high number.”
Monsoon, “It’s time for the Intercontinental Title match. Who ‘ya got Jesse?”
Ventura, “I’m going with the wrestler. Mr. Perfect will beat the Ultimate Maniac.”
Monsoon, “We will see in a few minutes.
Match #4
Intercontinental Championship
The Ultimate Warrior (Champion) vs. Mr. Perfect w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan
Perfect, the Brain, and referee Joey Marcella wait in the ring. The Warrior’s music hits, and he races down the aisle. He goes right after Perfect, and he and Heenan take to the floor. Perfect then returns to the ring, and they lock up. Perfect tries to wrestle. It works for a time, but Warrior begins to use his size a strength. He slams Perfect, and goes for a splash. Perfect gets his knees up, and Warrior hits hard. Now Perfect is in control. Perfect goes for a Perfect-plex, but Warrior blocks it. He shoots the Challenger into the ropes and drops him with a clothesline. Warrior goes for a cover, but Perfect kicks out. The pace of the match increases. Perfect has the stamina advantage, but the Warrior is very explosive. They continue to battle it out. Both men go through the ropes. They continue to fight on the arena floor. Marella’s count reaches ten. Both men have been counted out. This settles nothing.

Monsoon and Ventura are in the announce position.
Monsoon, “That didn’t settle anything Jess.”
Ventura, “It proved the Ultimate Maniac is a coward. He went to the floor to get counted out. He knew he couldn't beat Perfect, so he went for a count out.”
Monsoon, “Highly unlikely! Now it’s time for our main event. Let’s go to Sean Mooney, and Ted DiBiase’s team.”
Mooney is with Ted DiBiase, Virgil, Andre the Giant, and Bam Bam bigelow, as well as Bobby Heenan, and Slick.
Mooney, “I am here with what is being called ‘The Million Dollar Team’. Mr. DiBiase, you have a great team, but you face a tough task.”
DiBiase, “HAHAHAHA! Tough task, you say! Look at this team, Virgil, the massive Bam Bam Bigelow, the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’, and the Champion, the ‘Million Dollar Man’! Do you think anyone can beat us? Bobby, tell them!”
Hernan, “Mr. DiBiase is right. This is the strongest team ever assembled, and I’ll tell you this, we have an ‘Ace in the Hole’. We can’t lose!”
Mooney, “What does that mean?”
DiBiase, “HAHAHAHAHA!”
Mooney, “Let’s go to ‘Mean’ Gene Okerlund.”
Okerlund is with Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Jake Roberts, and Roddy Piper.
Okerlund, “Gentlemen, you heard DiBiase and his team. They plan on winning, and they have an ‘Ace in the Hole’.”
Hogan, “You know something ‘Mean’ Gene, we don’t care what they have brother! Look at my team, Jake the Snake, the Macho Man, and Hot Rod!”
Savage, “Ted DiBiase, you’re living on borrowed time, borrowed time oh yea! Tonight, we beat you, and then I take that title from you, book it! Oh yea!”
Piper, “‘Million Dollar Man’? RP ain’t got no million dollars! My wife takes it all! And Boobs, an ‘Ace in the hole’? You don’t have no ace, you got a Joker, and it’s not ‘Jokers Wild!”
Roberts, “Ace in the hole huh? Don’t stick your hand down that hole, Damien just might be waiting for you.”
Hogan, “You heard ‘em ‘Mean’ Gene, were ready for anything, let’s get this started!”
Monsoon, and Ventura are in the announce position.
Monsoon, “What is the Brain talking about? Ace in the Hole?”
Ventura, “Ha, I know what he means, look at the ring.”
The camera pans to the ring where referee Danny Davis is standing.
Monsoon, “No, not Danny Davis! This is a miscarriage of justice!”
Ventura, “No, it’s an ‘Ace in the Hole’!”
Match #5
Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Randy Savage, and Jake Roberts w/Miss Elizabeth vs. Ted DiBiase, Virgil, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Andre the Giant w/Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and Slick
Look at the talent in the ring. Will Danny Davis be the difference? Did DiBiase’s money get him assigned to this match? So many questions. Randy Savage starts for his team. DiBiase sends Virgil out his. Savage is all over the bodyguard. Virgil tries to tag out, DiBiase is reluctant to tag in, so Bigelow. The monster from New Jersey locks up with Savage. They go back and forth. Savage tags in Roberts, and the “Snake” slows the pace. Roberts is the master of psychology. Jake is on his game until he gets too close to the corner. Andre grabs him, and now Jake is in trouble. Any time one of Jake’s partners tries to help. Davis sends him back. Roberts fights gamely, but Andre slams him, and covers him.Davis counts the fall.
First Elimination-Jake Roberts
Roddy Piper is next for his team. No one wants a piece of him so Virgil gets the chance. Piper can brawl with the best of them. He overwhelms both of them, and puts Virgil away with the sleeper. It’s all even.
Second Elimination-Virgil
Here’s what people are waiting for. The Champion steps in the ring, it’s Piper vs. DiBiase. They go back and forth and the fans are on the edge of their seats. This is a war. Piper begins to gain an advantage. He rolls up Ted, but the Champion grabs the tights and reverses it. DiBiase uses the ropes for leverage. Davis doesn't see this, and counts three! Piper argues, but to no avail.
Third Elimination-Roddy Piper
Now DiBiase’s team has the edge. Hogan steps through the ropes for his team. Andre demands to tagged in. Ted obliges. This is a “Battle of the Giants”. The two behemoths lock up. Andre is able to chop Hogan to the mat. He stomps away, and the Hulkster is in trouble. The crowd gets louder, and Hogan begins to “Hulk Up”. Both men throw haymakers. They go through the ropes and end up on the floor. Davis counts slowly, but he reaches ten. Both men are counted out.
Fourth and Fifth Eliminations-Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant
Savage is in trouble. He must now face Ted DiBiase and Bam Bam Bigelow. Bigelow is first. The fast, and agile big man goes right after the Macho Man. Savage fights like a. Ad man. Slick shouts encouragement from ringside. Savage takes over and slams the big man. He covers Bigelow. Davis gives one of the slowest counts in wrestling history, but he counts three!
Sixth Elimination-Bam Bam Bigelow
DiBiase jumps Savage from behind. Randy goes down, and DiBiase puts the boots to him. Davis stands back and allows the attack to continue. DiBiase pulls Savage to his feet, and clamps on the Million Dollar Dream. This is it! No, Savage fights his way to the ropes! Davis fails to call for the break, or count! Finally, he calls for the break, it Savage is in trouble. The attack continues. Elizabeth is frantic at ringside. DiBiase goes for the Dream again, but Savage blocks it. He lands lefts and rights, and now the Champion is in trouble. Savage slams DiBiase. He climbs to the top rope and lands the elbow. Davis is slow to start the count. He begins 1……….2……...3! He had to do it. The Macho Man pins the World Champion! Savage and Elizabeth celebrate as Hogan, Roberts and Piper return to the ring! What a match!

Monsoon, “Jesse, Randy ‘Macho Man’ Savage pins the World Champion! In spite of Danny Davis.”
Ventura, “Hey, he counted three didn’t he?”
Monsoon, “Very slowly!”
Ventura, “That’s your opinion! Look, I like the Macho Man. He’s one of the best in the business, I’ve never doubted that.”
Monsoon, “We are headed into 1988 with so much momentum! Join us next time, good night everyone!”
