We know that isn't what happens based on the last trailer shown when he drags Rick into the camper.

Two were supposed to die - my guess is Maggie which takes care of the two since she is pregnant. The last clip with Rick and Negan talking about right hand men.
Rick will also lose his hand.

I don't even think Walking Dead could get away with beating a pregnant woman to death on TV.

I may be wrong but at the same time they were filming early episodes, the actress that plays Maggie was posting pics of herself on vacation.
Blood splatter on Rick's face is from right. Maggie was in Rick's right.
They want you to hate Negan. That would be a good way to do it.
In a show that had a community of cannibals, a woman give birth by opening her up before she died, woman shot through the eye with a crossbow bolt, a woman molested by the governor, little girl executed and on and on ... is it really out of the question?

I just think they're definitely aware of the backlash over Game of Thrones' mistreatment of female characters and won't go the Maggie route.
Just a guess! My money's on Abraham.

Abraham might be the one to go because of how things have gone for him in the show, just he now has a reason for living, it all goes to hell in a handbasket.
I think if there was going to be a backlash on how women are treated, they would have done that LONG ago.

I definitely phrased it wrong - I meant how violence against women is depicted on the show. I think early on both shows (WD and Thrones) relied on male-on-female violence in way too many circumstances as a crutch and definitely got called out on it.
I also think both shows course corrected over their most recent seasons (Carol holding her own against the whole car full of Saviors and Dany torching the misogynist Dothraki, being the biggest examples). I feel like if they have Negan beat a pregnant woman to death with extreme gore, it's regressive.
All that said, they might opt to do it anyway! Or, they might just go with Eugene and take the easy way out since they have that potential second twist of Rick, well, I don't want to post spoilers. That post-Kill scene AMC released tips a hand to what might happen to Rick.

I originally thought Maggie too, more for shock value than anything, or as Jeep said, because they want us to hate Negan (although with Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing him, I don't think that's possible ). I've heard other people say it'll be Glen. I'll probably sound like a heartless bastard for this, but I'm kinda hoping it's Carl. That kid just irritates me, when he got shot in the eye there earlier, I was hoping that was going to be the end of him.

I don't think it is Carl. There was some interesting interaction between Negan and Carl in the comic which I hope they do on the show.

It's weird because there are seemingly quite a few people it CAN'T be.
I don't care about Norman Reedus's recent interviews where he hints otherwise, they're not killing Daryl. It's obviously not Rick. I can't see them offing Carl or Michonne either.
Glenn seems in play, but it'd make his near-death storyline from last season pointless.
Abraham, Sasha and/or Maggie WOULD be pretty major - but will anybody be really care if it's Eugene, Rosita or Aaron?

Rosita and Aaron ... no. Eugene, if he is more like his comicbook counterpart becomes important in what he provides to the group. Abraham and Sasha, not so important either.
I think there would be a revolt if Daryl is offed and I believe the earlier Glenn storyline was a test to gauge viewer reaction to his possible death.

I like the show, and I've read most of the comics. I know they don't follow it step by step, but this time period is very convoluted at least to me. It will be hard to replicate in 60-90 minute TV shows. I still don't know if Rick will lose his hand. That would be a big CGI undertaking in each undertaking. Of course, I thought Carl's eye wouldn't happen for the same reason, but they went the non-makeup, patch. With all that said, I still liked Sons of Anarchy better.

Read the comics to date but knew from the start there would be a deviation between the two which is okay by me. Keeps things new and fresh for me that way.
Sons of Anarchy was good but is apples and oranges when compared the WD. Comparing crime drama shows, I'll take the Sopranos or The Shield over SoA.
