Bill Mercer and Rod Trongard open the show.
Trongard, “Coast to coast, continent to continent, border to border, ‘USWA Championship Wrestling’ is on the air.”
Mercer, “What a day at the Cotton Bowl! Kerry Von Erich is still the World Champion, but we do have two new Champions. One of them is in the ring now.”
Match #1
Non-Title Match
Tim Horner (World Light Heavyweight Champion) vs. The Blue Panther
The new champion takes on the masked Mexican star. The match is fast paced. The Panther gives it a good go, but Horner is too much. He uses a sunset flip for the win.

Kamala w/Sheik Adnan el Kaissey vs. Pete Sanchez
The massive Ugandan is still a feared man in the ring. The veteran Sanchez is big, but is he big enough. No. Sanchez goes right after Kamala. The savage is ready for it. He chops and kicks and finishes Sanchez with a big splash.
Winner-Kamala
Marc Lowrance is with Frenchy Martin and his men.
Lowrance, “With me are Frenchy Martin, and his entourage. Mr. Martin, the Cotton Bowl was a busy place for you. Rick Martel lost the Texas Title, but the Rougeaus made their presence known in the tag team title match.”
Martin, “The title was stolen from Rick Martel! We were not prepared! I have filed a protest, and I expect the title to be returned to Rick!”
Lowrance, “Alright, what are the Rougeaus up to?”
Martin, “The Rougeau brothers are the best tag team in wrestling. Why weren’t they given a title shot? I’ll tell you why. They are Canadians, and American is prejudiced against people from Canada! I will not stand for this! I will force the USWA to give us a title shot, and we will take the titles! I came to destroy American wrestlers, and that’s what I will do!”
Lowrance, “Frenchy Martin is all worked up.”

Steve Cox vs. Mike Reed
Cox is a young rookie debuting tonight. He comes to the USWA with rave reviews. He is very quick, and looks to be a skilled wrestler. Reed puts up a fight, but Steve uses a sunset flip for the win.

Non-Title Match
Kerry Von Erich (World Champion) vs. The Destroyer
Plays, and the World Champion comes to the ring. Kerry had a knock down, drag out, match with Terry Gordy at the State Fair. The masked man jumps Von Erich before the bell. He hammers away and Kerry is in early trouble. Kerry fights back and takes over. He clamps on the iron claw for the win.
Winner-Kerry Von Erich
Marc Lowrance is with Bill Dundee.
Lowrance, “With me is the NEW Texas Champion. Bill, you pulled the upset at the Cotton Bowl.”
Dundee, “I loved it! I’m sorry Iceman got hurt, but I came here to win titles, and now I have one.”
Lowrance, “Frenchy Martin is angry. He says they weren’t ready for you.”
Dundee, “Then he’s stupid. I professional wrestler has to be ready for anything. I had an opportunity, and I took it. Martel deserves a rematch, and I’ll give him one, but Martin better cook up a whole lot more excuses.”
Lowrance, “Let’s see the new Champion in action.”

Bill Dundee (Texas Champion) vs.The Angel of Death w/Sheik Adnan el Kaissey
Dundee takes on one of Akbar’s men. The Angel has the size advantage, but Dundee is a veteran, and a Champion. Dundee takes over early. He overpowers Dundee. Sheik Adnan shouts instructions. The Champ is in trouble. The fans get behind Bill. He rallies. Dundee goes toe to toe with the giant. The Angel is the one in trouble. Dundee sets up the piledriver. He hits it, and referee Rick Hazzard counts the fall.
Winner-Bill Dundee
Match #6
The Rougeau Brothers w/Frenchy Martin vs. Brian Adias and Alberto Madril
Madril has returned to the USWA. He and Adias have always been a tough tag team. The Rougeaus feel they should be the number one contenders for the tag titles. Jacques and Adias open the contest. They go back and forth, and the fans are on the edge of their seats. Adias gets a quick one count, and Rougeau follows with a two. Referee Bronko Lubich says Brian kicks out. Madril tags in. He looks good, and Jacques is in retreat. Raymond tags in, and Frenchy Martin shouts instructions. Raymond and Madril battle it out. The Canadians use the Rougeau bomb for the win.
Winners-The Rougeau Brothers
Marc Lowrance is with Bob Orton.

Lowrance, “With me is the WWA Champion Bob Orton. Mr. Orton, you defeated Baron Von Raschke in Dallas, but now Bill Irwin has challenged you. You two meet tonight.”
Orton, “Irwin has a big mouth. He says he’s been chasing me. I’m not hard to find. I wrestle all over the Midwest, I went to Texas, I wrestle everywhere. Irwin, you wanted a shot, you got one tonight! Step up big boy, I’ll teach you a lesson!”
Lowrance, “This will be a great, Orton vs. Irwin for the WWA Title!”
Match #7
WWA Championship
Bob Orton (Champion) vs. “Wild” Bill Irwin
The fans seem to be siding with “Chauncey” here. These are two rugged veterans. They lock up. Both men exchange wrestling holds. Orton takes Irwin down and works over the arm. Irwin gets to the ropes, and referee Marty Miller calls for the break. They lock again, and this times Irwin drives a knee to the midsection. The man from Duluth dominates the next few minutes. Orton has had enough, and he rallies. We have a slugfest. Miller tries to control the action. Both men toss the referee to the mat, and continue brawling. Miller called for the break, and wrestlers pour out of the dressing rooms to separate the two.
Result-Double Disqualification
Bill Mercer and Rod Trongard close the show.
Trongard, “What a brawl! The WWA Title has brought even more excitement to the USWA!”
Mercer, “And we will have eye more excitement next week. This is a bit of a surprise. Bill Dundee will defend the Texas Title. That’s not surprising, but his opponent is. He will face Eric Embry, not Rick Martel. What is Frenchy Martin up to? We will find out next week.”
