Lowrance, “Welcome to the Cotton Bowl, and the State Fair of Texas. We have an exciting show in store for you. Terry Gordy challenges Kerry Von Erich for the World Title, plus several other title matches. We will also address the Texas Title situation. Let’s get things underway.”

Dino Bravo w/Frenchy Martin vs. Brian Adias
The powerful Canadian meets the popular man from Arlington. Adias tries to use his speed and quickness. Bravo sticks to power. The match goes back and forth until Dino hits the side suplex for the win.

Sgt Slaughter vs. The Destroyer
The popular Marine is all over the masked man. The Destroyer tries every underhanded trick on the book, but Slaughter. The Slaughter cannon sets up the cobra clutch, and the masked man is out.

Gary Young vs. Kevin Von Erich
Plays and Kevin Von Erich come to the ring. Young has been very successful as of late, and Kevin will have his hands full. Young is very aggressive, and Kevin is on his heels. Young goes for an elbow drop off the second rope, but misses. This is the opening Kevin needs. He takes over and wins with a flying body press.

WWA Championship
Bob Orton (Champion) vs. Baron Von Raschke
The WWA is an organization in the Midwest. It is under the umbrella of the USWA. Orton is a rugged veteran, but so is the Baron. Von Raschke held this Title in the 70’s. this is a brawl. The Baron has the edge, and the Cotton Bowl crowd is behind him. Orton mounts a comeback. He punishes the Baron, and wins with a knee drop. As Marc Lowrance makes the announcement, someone enters the ring. It’s Wild Bill Irwin. He takes the mic from Lowrance.
Irwin, “Orton, I’ve been chasing you all over Indiana, and Ohio! You’ve ducked me, and ran off to Texas. I’ve been here, and these people know me! I’m coming for that Title!”
Irwin leaves the ring.

The Rougeau Brothers w/Frenchy Martin vs. The Simpson Brothers
Two brother teams meet here. The veteran Rougeaus have Frenchy Martin with them, but the young brothers from Africa are very talented. Steve a d Jacques open the contest. Simpson takes to the air. Rougeau is on the defensive. Simpson uses a victory roll for a two count. Rougeau kicks out before Bronko Lubich counts three. Jacques tags in Raymond.he tries his hand with Steve. Simpson is grounded. Shaun tags in, and the younger Simpson enters. He wrestles well, but the Rougeaus are too much. They use the Rougeau bomb for the win.

World Light Heavyweight Championship
Phil LaFleur (Champion) w/Frenchy Martin vs. Tim Horner
Young LaFleur has been very impressive. Despite Horner’s youth, he has quite a bit of experience. Referee David Manning calls for the bell. The match starts quickly. The pace is fast, and the fans are on the edge of their seats. Horner gets a two count, but LaFleur kicks out. Phil rolls up Horner, but Tim kicks out. Martin jumps up on the ring apron. This distracts Horner. LaFleur grabs a sleep hold Horner shoots LaFleur into Martin. Frenchy falls to the Cotton Bowl floor. LaFleur staggers off the ropes. Horner catches him with a backslide. Manning counts 1...2...3! Tim Horner wins the World Light Heavyweight Title!

Marc Lowrance is in the ring with Fritz Von Erich.
Lowrance, “With me is USWA President Fritz Von Erich. Fritz, what an afternoon of action. We just saw a Title change, and their could be more”
Fritz, “That’s right Marc. Titles can change any time here is the USWA. Kerry knows how good Gordy is, and he knows it’s going to be a fight.”
Lowrance, “We are waiting for that one. Now, our friends in the Midwest have been key members of the USWA. They are going to provide the location of our next big show. On Thanksgiving weekend, we will present ‘Thanksgiving Star Wars’ at the Civic Center in St. Paul, MN. Verne Gagne will be in charge, and he will give us an exciting night of wrestling.”
Lowrance, “I know it will be an exciting night of action. Let’s get back to the action here in Dallas.”

Texas Championship
Marc Lowrance is in the ring with referee Bronko Lubich, Rick Martel and Frenchy Martin.
Lowrance, “Rick Martel was scheduled to defend the Texas Title against Iceman King Parsons. However, Parsons has been injured, and cannot compete tonight.”
Martin takes the mic.
Martin, “Raise Rick’s hand! He is still the Champion!”
David Manning comes to the ring. He takes the mic.
Manning, “Rick Martel signed a contract to defend the Texas Title today, and he will defend that title today. Ed Watt, and the Championship Committee, has chosen an opponent, and here he is!”
Bill Dundee comes down the aisle. Martel and Martin protest vehemently. Lubich calls for the bell, and we are underway. Dundee is on fire. Martel takes to the floor, and Dundee follows him. He doesn’t want the Champion to be able to regroup. Dundee slams Martel’s head into the ring apron, and tosses him back on the ring. Martel is desperate. He tries all the dirty tricks he has, but Dundee is too much. He uses a piledriver for the win. We have a new Texas Champion! Martel, and Martin, argue with Lubich as Dundee celebrates.

American Heavyweight Championship
Masa Saito (Champion) w/Sheik Adnan el Kaissey vs. Jerry Blackwell
Marty Miller will referee this battle. Two huge men are in the ring. Blackwell can match Saito’s power. The two big bulls match power moves. Blackwell scoop up Saito and slams him. He goes for a cover, but Saito kicks out. Saito goes for a suplex, but Blackwell blocks it. He lands rights, and lefts, and we have a brawl. Saito uses chops and kicks, and his martial arts skills give him the edge. Saito goes for a suplex. He hits it, and goes for a cover. Blackwell kicks out, but he is in trouble. Saito continues the assault. This time he uses a German suplex, and gets the three count. Masa Saito retains the American Heavyweight Title.

World Tag Team Championship
The Fantastics (Champions) vs. The Fabulous Freebirds
Plays, and the former Champions strut to the ring. Now,
Plays, and the Champions come down the aisle. The fans love the Fantastics. It will be Hayes and Roberts tonight. Referee David Manning calls for the bell, and Tommy Rogers takes on Buddy Roberts. Rogers uses his quickness, but Roberts counters with his bag of dirty tricks. Buddy Jack takes the eyes and Rogers is in trouble. Roberts backs him into a corner, and pinches away. Desperate, Tommy fights fire with Fire. He slugs his way out. Now Roberts is in retreat. Rogers goes for a sleep hold. Buddy gets to the corner and tags in Hayes. The leader of the Freebirds slows the pace. Hayes goes to work. He mixes wrestling, with roughhouse tactics. Tommy is in trouble, and he tags in Bobby Fulton. Fulton takes the fight to Hayes. We have a “Barnburner” on our hands. Both teams continue to tag in and out. Hayes and Rogers end up in the ring. Suddenly, the Rougeau Brothers, and Frenchy Martin appear at ringside.
Why are they here? Who are they here to help? If anyone. The match continues as Jacques, Raymond, and Frenchy take places at ringside. Hayes gets into a verbal battle with Jacques. This distracts Hayes. Rogers grabs him from behind and rolls him up. Manning counts 1...2...3! The Champions win! The Freebirds are livid. The Rougeaus and Martin leave the ring area. They seem very pleased.

Kerry Von Erich (Champion) vs. Terry Gordy
This is what we have been waiting for. Terry Gordy and Bronko Lubich are in the ring with Marc Lowrance. We hear,
The World Champion comes to the ring. Lubich goes through instructions, and both men stare holes through each other. The bell rings and we are underway. They lock up, and Gordy grabs a side headlock. Gordy can match Von Erich in the strength department. Kerry shoots Gordy into the ropes, and drops him with a shoulder tackle. Kerry goes to work on Gordy’s leg. Terry gets to the ropes and Libich calls for the break. They lock up again, and this time Gordy grabs the edge. He pounds away at the Champion, and Kerry is in real trouble. Gordy slams him, and goes for an elbow drop. Von Erich rolls out of the way, and Gordy crashes to the mat. Kerry goes for a cover, but Gordy kicks out. Terry works his way into position for a piledriver. Kerry blocks it, and backdrops the Challenger. That took a lot out of both men, and they are both prone on the mat. Lubich starts the count. Both men struggle to their feet at seven. They begin to trade lefts and rights. Kerry is able to trap Gordy in a sleep hold. Gordy rights his way to the ropes, and Bronko calls for the break. Kerry now thinks he has the edge. He Tera's into Gordy. “Bam Bam” fires back. Both men are on the ropes, and they tumble through them. They land on the Cotton Bowl turf. They get to their feet, and continue to brawl. Lubich starts his count. Both men continue to slug it out. Lubich reaches 20. He reluctantly calls for the bell. Both men have been counted out. This was a great match, but nothing has been settled.
