Mercer, “Welcome to the world famous Sportatorium. Fall is approaching, and so is the State Fair of Texas. We will talk about the big Cotton Bowl show, and we have a great main event tonight.”
Trongard, “The ‘Mountain from Stone Mountain’, Jerry Blackwell, will meet the Angel of Death. Blackwell has proven to be a thorn in the side of Sheik Adnan el Kaissey.”
Mercer, “Yes he has, and the Angel of Death will try to exact some revenge. Let’s get things underway with Marc Lowrance.”
Match #1
Dino Bravo w/Frenchy Martin vs. Nick Busick
The strongest man in Canada opens up the show. Busick is a big youngster, but he is no match for Bravo. Dino works him over, and wins with a side suplex.

Iceman King Parsons vs. Frankie Lancaster
The popular I mean meets the big “Thumper”. Lancaster tries underhanded tactics, and it keeps Parsons at bay. Iceman has had enough. He rallies and ends things with the butt bump.

Lowrance, “Hello fans. The State Fair of Texas is fast approaching, and that means a Cotton Bowl show. These shows are some of the finest action ever seen in wrestling. Remember, your wrestling ticket gains you entry to the fair. Walk the midway, talk to ‘ it Tex’, and then see exciting USWA action. We have several matches to add to the card.
In a ‘Brother vs. Brother’ tag team match, the Rougeau Brothers take on the Simpson Brothers.
For the Texas Title, Rick Martel defends against, the man he won it from, Iceman King Parsons.
For the World Tag Team Championship, the Fantastics defend against, The former Champions, the Fabulous Freebirds.
And in a match announced last week, Terry Gordy challenges Kerry Von Erich for the World Championship.
We will announce more matches in the coming weeks.”

Bill Dundee vs. El Diablo
The “Superstar” from Australia takes on the masked man from Mexico. Dundee made a successful debut last week. Diablo is very aggressive, but the veteran Dundee is ready for it. Slowly he takes over and wins with the piledriver.

The Fabulous Freebirds vs. Sonny Rogers and Mike Reed
The former Champions are out for revenge. It’s Hayes and Roberts tonight. Buddy starts with Reed, and the veteran is at his sneaky best. He kicks, punches, chokes, all his favorites. Reed tags in Rogers, and Sonny tries his hand. Hayes enters, and it’s all Freebirds. Michael uses a DDT for the win.

Lowrance, “With me is Sheik Adnan, and his army. Sheik, you have been very busy as of late, but Jerry Blackwell seems to have the better of you.”
Sheik Adnan, “Jelly Blackwell! You are a pain for me, you were the worst wrestler I ever managed, and now you seek revenge! That will end tonight. The Angel of Death is primed to destroy you, you fat American? I am tired of your interference in my plan! This is it, your career ends tonight!”
Lowrance, “Sheik Adnan is out of control. Jerry Blackwell has him on the edge.”

Masa Saito (American Heavyweight Champion) w/Sheik Adnan el Kaissey vs. Bob Marcus
The vicious Champion has looked unbeatable since defeating Nick Bockwinkel for the Title. Marcus puts up a good fight, but “Mr. Tortue” is on top of his game. He punishes Marcus and wins with. German suplex.

Eric Embry vs. Buck Zumhofe
Buck remains popular with the fans. He starts fast, and Embry is frustrated. Eric takes to the floor to regroup. Embry returns to the ring. He slows the pace. He goes after Buck, and the momentum has shifted. Eric continues to attack, and wins with the piledriver.

Marc Lowrance is with Jerry Blackwell.
Lowrance, “With me is Jerry Blackwell. Jerry, you heard Sheik Adnan out here. He is losing his mind.”
Blackwell, “Like he had one to start with. Look everyone knows Adnan managed me. I’m not proud of it, it was a big mistake. I came here to get revenge, and I don’t have it yet, but it’s coming! The Angel of Death tonight, and that’s just the start! Adnan, I’m coming for you!”
Lowrance, “Our main event is next.”

Jerry Blackwell vs. The Angel of Death w/Sheik Adnan el Kaissey
Two big men meet here. The younger Angel starts fast. He works over Blackwell. Sheik Adnan shouts encouragement from ringside. AoD whips Blackwell into the corner and runs in. Blackwell sidesteps, and the Angel crashes into the turnbuckles. Now Blackwell is in control. He works over the Angel. Now Adnan is worried at ringside. Blackwell lands rights and lefts. AoD is in trouble. Blackwell slams him to the mat, bounces off the ropes and lands a big splash. Referee Marty Miller counts 1...2...3! Jerry Blackwell wins! Blackwell grabs the mic.
Blackwell, “Alright Sheik! I beat Kokina, I beat Angel, now I want Saito, and the American Heavyweight Title, at the State Fair! Sign the contract!”
The Sportatorium crowd goes crazy!

Trongard, “Jerry Blackwell has issued a challenge, let’s see if the Sheik accepts!”
Mercer, “Hopefully, we will find out next week, and speaking of next week, we have a unique main event. It will be a six man tag team match, on one side, the Simpson Brothers, and Brian Adias, on the other, the Rougeaus, and Eric Embry.”
Trongard, “What is Embry doing with Martin, and his French Canadiens?”
Mercer, “I guess you will have to tune in next week to find out.”
