Michael St. John stood in the ring and welcomed everyone to tonight’s card, and reminded them that they have a great card lined up for tonight as Tennessee Champion Buddy Landel will be defending against Johnny Rich, a big six-man tag team bout featuring Doug Furnas teaming up with the Southern Boys, Jimmy Golden will be here wrestling, “Hangman” Bobby Jaggers is here for his first match in Tennessee, and a big tag team showdown between The Youngbloods and the MOD Squad. He also reminded folks that Tennessee Championship Wrestling will be back here again next Friday night, so be sure to pick up your tickets while you’re here tonight. And he once again reminded folks to be sure to tune into WKPT TV-19 at midnight tonight to see themselves on TV when tonight’s matches air. He then introduced the first match of the evening….
(Dark matchs before the matches taped for television)
Match: George South pinned The Galaxian with a dropkick from the middle rope at 11:20.
Match: “Hangman” Bobby Jaggers pinned Norvel Austin with a back elbow and elbow drop at 10:00 of a good back and forth match.
After the match, Jaggers joined Michael St. John at ringside for an interview, and said that he’s here in Tennessee to help clean up all the trash around here…all the low-life’s that like to jump on people from behind. He said if there’s anybody like that in the locker room, come on out and try jumping on The Hangman, and he’ll make them regret it.
Michael St. John informed the fans that now they’ll be seeing the matches that are being taped for television, and that will conclude with tonight’s television main event tag team match between The Youngbloods and the MOD Squad. He let folks know to stick around after that for the big six man match and the Tennessee Heavyweight Title match.

Up in the balcony, Les Thatcher and Joe Pedicino ran down tonight’s card for the television viewers at home, reminding them that tonight’s main event is an exciting tag team bout that we’ll have more info on in just a bit. We’ll also see “Pistol” Pez Whatley in action, as well as Jimmy Golden, and Corporal Kirchner is here. Let’s go to the ring…
Match 1: “Pistol” Pez Whatley pinned Gary Royal with his “Chattanooga Choo-Choo”.
He was met at ringside by Michael St. John who said Tim Horner may have been awfully lucky that Pez was here last week to get The Botswana Beast off of him. Pez said that Horner is in bad shape and has a few broken ribs, and he don’t know how long he’ll be gone. But The Botswana Beast has another thing coming if he thinks he can run roughshod over this area, cause The Pistol is gunning for him, and is gonna knock him down to size!

Out of the break, Les Thatcher and Joe Pedicino said that they have some news from the office of matchmaker Ron Fuller, that the tournament for the Tennessee Tag Team Titles start right here tonight on television with The Youngbloods vs. The MOD Squad! Joe said we’ll see that match a little later on. Thatcher then spoke up and took us back to last week with a video showing what happened in the main event last week:
Three guards started over, and as two of them tried to get ahold of Ron, the third one nailed Ron Fuller from behind and put the boots to him. The guard then layed out the other two security guards from behind. He took off his hat and shirt and revealed himself to be JIMMY GOLDEN! He took the cage door key from Ron Fuller and unlocked it, climbed in and pearl harbored Doug Furnas from behind, drawing a disqualification at 11:13. He and Landel put the boots to Furnas, but Ron Fuller pulled himself together on the floor and went into the cage and starting teeing off on both Golden and Landel. Ron Wright entered the cage and nailed Fuller in the back of the head with the loaded glove. Golden and Landel then put the boots to both Fuller and Furnas while Ron Wright went back and locked the cage door. He gave a pair of handcuffs to Landel, who secured Furnas to the top rope with them. With no one to help him, Golden and Landel put quite a beating on Commissioner Ron Fuller. Landel locked on a figure four leglock while Golden stomped away at the leg locked in the hold. Finally, the Southern Boys and Corporal Kirchner scaled the cage and saved him. Wright unlocked the door, and he, Golden and Landel left with their arms raised high over head as the show went to commercial break.
in the balcony at the set were Wright, Golden, and a bloody Landel. Wright and Landel were quite gleeful, but Golden looked to be all business. Les Thatcher was quite disgusted and asked Jimmy Golden why on earth he would do that to his own cousin, saying that Golden and Ron Fuller are family!
Golden: “Les Thatcher, you wanna know why I just done that?! Well lemme tell you brother…for years….FOR YEARS…I’ve been in the rasslin’ bidness, I’ve seen good times and Ive seen bad times. When the bad times come along, I’d call up my cousin Ron Fuller…my family…my blood…and say Ron, I need a job bad brother! And ol Ron, always a business man, would say “Jimmy, times are tight right now and business is down, I just can’t afford to let you come in”. I’d beg him…the man would make me beg him…I’d say please cousin Ron…I’m starving…my wife and kids are starving…just let me rassle and make some money. But he’d say business is down. RON FULLER….MY OWN FLESH AND BLOOD…WOULD PUT MONEY AHEAD OF FAMILY DADDY! BUSINESS IS DOWN HE’D SAY. WELL LET ME TELL YOU SUMTHIN RON FULLER…BUSINESS WAS DOWN AT MY HOUSE TOO, AND WHEN I NEEDED YOUR HELP, YOU PUT MONEY AHEAD OF FAMILY!!!. So Les Thatcher, that’s exactly what I done here tonight. Ol Jimmy Golden finally got smart and put money ahead of family. Mr. Ron Wright called me and said you aint gonna believe what your cousin Ron Fuller is doing. He said if he could find a man to take care of Ron Fuller for him he’d pay a king’s ransom. I told Mr. Ron Wright that I knew a man who would be happy to take care of Ron Fuller for him. I come here tonight, and that’s exactly what I done too brother. I took care of Ron Fuller the way he took care of me….I KICKED HIM WHILE HE WAS DOWN AND I PUT MONEY AHEAD OF FAMILY. AS FAR AS I’M CONCERNED, THESE TWO MEN RIGHT HERE ARE MY FAMILY NOW!!!
Les Thatcher said that was one of the most heinous things he has ever witnessed, and in just a little bit, we’ll hear from Ron Fuller himself, as he has a few things he wants to say. But now, let’s go back to the ring…..
Match 2: Corporal Kirchner pinned Rip Rogers with a flying shoulder tackle.

Out of the break, and Les Thatcher said that he had some very important words from Match Maker Ron Fuller…..

Fuller was sitting in his living room with a brace on his leg and Doug Furnas was standing behind him. Ron said that what happened last week he just can’t put into words, because even though Jimmy Golden is a cousin, he always thought of him more like a brother, and to have Golden stab him in the back like that…he just wouldn’t believe that would happen.
He said that as matchmaker, he shouldn’t really be involved, but he had seen this man (Furnas) get cheated time and again by Ron Fuller and Buddy Landel, so he got involved just to make it a fair fight. Now, he’s gonna continue on making it a fair fight, because he has made 2 phone calls. The first one is to a man he has asked to come here to Tennessee and stand beside Doug Furnas in his place because he knows that with Landel and Golden, Furnas will never get a fair one-on-one shake at things. He said he called this man, and he will be coming here to Tennessee soon to take care of some business, and that Ron Wright, Buddy Landel, and Jimmy Golden better get ready, because hell is coming with him!
And the second call he made….he made because with this busted up leg, and the way he is personally involved in this issue now he can’t honestly do a fair job at being matchmaker, so he has called a man to take his place temporarily. A man who won’t be bought. A man with morals. A man who knows what it’s like to be in the ring, and a man who he personally has a lot of respect for, and that man is BOB ARMSTRONG! And he’ll be here next week to take over matchmaking duties for him.
Fuller then got loud and said that Ron Wright and the crimes he’s committed won’t stand around here. This man (Furnas), and the first man he called, and Bob Armstrong are gonna make sure that the fight is fair and even from here on out, and all that he asks, is that they leave a little piece of Wright, Landel, and Golden for him, because when he gets better he’s coming back to settle the score.
Fade to black
Les Thatcher said that is some big news that Bob Armstrong will be here next week to take over as matchmaker, and he and Pedicino take a minute to wonder when this other man Ron Fuller has called will show up.
They were quickly interrupted by manager Ron Wright, Tennessee Champion “Nature Boy” Buddy Landel, and Jimmy Golden who invade the balcony set. Ron Wright said the only crime that has been committed around here is Ron Fuller getting involved in the matches personally when he should be an impartial bystander. Further more, he treated his own cousin Jimmy Golden like a dog, and that’s why he got what he got out here last week, and if he knows whats good for him, he’ll just stay gone. He said his duo of Landel and Golden are the finest wrestlers in the south, and it don’t matter who Ron Fuller has called to come in here, they’ll take him apart too!!! He even doubts this mystery man will even show up. He told Jimmy to go show that ham and egger in the ring what its like to be in there with one of the best…
With that, Jimmy Golden headed to the ring for his match …
Match 3: Jimmy Golden def. Jimmy Backlund by DQ
Golden had the match well in hand the whole time while Ron Wright and Buddy Landel stayed in the balcony and assisted with commentary. A few minutes into the match, a man ran down to the ring in a cowboy hat and jeans. He was wearing one cowboy boot, but had the other clenched tight in his hand as he hit the ring. He blasted Jimmy Golden across the back with the boot, and then nailed him right between the eyes ,which busted him open,with it as Buddy Landel exclaimed on commentary “THAT’S ROBERT FULLER!!!” He and Wright quickly left the balcony and headed to the ring as Robert Fuller continued to lay a beating on Jimmy Golden. As Landel slid into the ring, Doug Furnas was right behind him, and started to wail on him as Fuller was on Golden! The crowd was nuts with all this excitement! Finally, Landel and Golden managed to escape the ring and hightailed it to the back with Ron Wright as Furnas and Robert Fuller embraced and soaked in the cheers…..

In the balcony, a jacked up Robert Fuller started yelling about how that no good egg suckin’ dog Jimmy Golden turned on his family and tried to put his brother in the hospital. He said he and Jimmy have beat up a lot of men, but he never thought he would have to put a whoopin’ on his own cousin! But now that things stand they way they do, he’s gonna bust up Jimmy Golden every chance he gets, and right here and now, he wants Ron Wright to know, that he’s already talked to new matchmaker Bob Armstrong, and right here next week…theres gonna be a match with Robert Fuller and Doug Furnas vs. Buddy Landel and Jimmy Golden! And baby, you better lace ‘em up tight, ‘cause we’re gonna fight all night!
Robert Fuller and Doug Furnas left the balcony as a stunned Les Thatcher threw it back down to the ring for our television main event.
Match 4: The MOD Squad w/ Downtown Bruno def. The Youngbloods with a double headbutt on Chris. The match had the last commercial break of the show in the middle of it.
Les and Joe wrapped it up saying you certainly don’t want to miss next week’s show with Fuller/Furnas vs Landel/Golden on tap! Be at the Johnson City Rec Center next Friday night at 7:00 and tune in again here next week at midnight for more exciting Tennessee Championship Wrestling!

Michael St. John then introduced the next match of the evening….
Match: Doug Furnas & The Southern Boys def. Cactus Jack Manson, The Moondog, Dale Veasey at 17:30 when Tracey pinned Veasey after a savate kick during the middle of a meelee with all 6 men in the ring.
Match: Tennessee Champion Buddy Landel w/ Ron Wright beat Johnny Rich by submission with a figure four leg lock at 15:03. Immediately after the bout, Robert Fuller ran out and clocked Ron Wright from behind on his way into the ring where he went right after Landel! He had an advantage until a bandaged Jimmy Golden hit the ring with his wrestling boot in his hand and went after Robert Fuller, but Doug Furnas was right behind him and it broke down with all 4 men battling all around ringside until security and every wrestler from the locker room coming out to break it all up.
As it was settling down, Michael St. John told the fans that was all for tonight and reminded them to be back here next week!
