The show opens with Rod Trongard, and Bill Mercer standing with Greg Gagne.
Trongard, “coast to coast, continent to continent, border to border, ‘USWA Championship Wrestling’ is on the air. Bill, we are here with Greg Gagne, there seems to be some controversy concerning the Light Heavyweight Title match.”
Mercer, “That’s right Rod, let’s ask Greg. Greg, what’s going on?”
G. Gagne, “Bill, Rod, you know I was scheduled to challenge Steve Simpson tonight. When I got here, they told me I might not get that shot. Right now, Fritz Von Erich, Ed Watt, and my Dad are meeting with lawyers.”
Verne Gagne walks out.
Trongard, “Ladies and gentlemen, the USWA President Emeritus, Vern Gagne. Verne, what’s going on?”
V. Gagne, “Rod, Bill, I’m angry. Greg, I have bad news for you, you have been replaced in the title match tonight. Frenchy Martin brought in his lawyers again. He has a new man, and he gets the shot tonight.”
G. Gagne, “Who is it?”
V. Gagne, “We don’t know. Steve Simpson doesn’t know. Martin says he doesn't have to reveal the name before the match, and the lawyers agree. Wrestling is for wrestler, not lawyers. I don’t like this one bit!”
Trongard, “That’s a bombshell! Who knows what else might happen tonight. Remember, Sgt Slaughter meets Kamala in our second main event. We will also see Dino Bravo, another of Frenchy Marin’s men, in action. Let’s go to Marc Lowrance.”

Baron Von Raschke vs. Rick Link
The massive Link challenges the popular Baron. Link uses his bulk to punish Von Raschke. The Baron has had enough. He goose steps around the ring and slaps on the claw. Link is out.

Kevin Von Erich vs. El Diablo
Plays and Kevin Von Erich comes to the ring. The elder Von Erich is one of the most popular men in the sport. Diablo tries all of his “Rudo” tactics, but Kevin fights him off. Von Erich uses the flying bodypress for the win.

The Fantastics vs. Doug Somers and Pete Sanchez
The Fantastics came very close to taking the tag titles from the Freebirds. They are out for a rematch. The rugged veteran team of Sanchez, and Somers will be a good test. Rogers and Somers open the action. Tommy uses his speed to take over. Somers fights back with underhanded tactics.Sanchez tags in and tries his hand cheating. Rogers rallies, tags in Fulton, and they use the Fantastic flip for the win
Winners-The Fantastics
Marc Lowrance is with Frenchy Martin.
Lowrance, “With me is Frenchy Martin. Mr. Martin, you have been very busy. You brought in Dino Bravo, and now you have positioned another man for a shot at the Light Heavyweight Title. Who is this new man?”
Martin, “Listen to me, you stupid American! I don’t have to tell you anything. I am a French Canadian, so you should bow to me. I will produce the finest French Canadian Light Heavyweight wrestler in the World. He will come out, and destroy Steve Simpson, but first you will see my other men in action!”
Lowrance, “Mr. Martin is correct. The Rougeau brothers are next, and then Dino Bravo takes on Brad Rheingans.”

The Rougeau Brothers w/Frenchy Martin vs. Mike Reed and Bob Marcus
Martin leads the talented Rougeaus to the ring. The talented brothers have arrived with a bang. Jacques starts for his team, Marcus for his. Rougeau is sharp and takes control. He punishes Bob, and tags in his brother. Raymond takes over. Reed tries his hand. The end comes with a Rougeau bomb.

Dino Bravo w/Frenchy Martin vs. Brad Rheingans
Martin grabs the mic from Marc Lowrance.
Martin, “Look you stupid Americans, this is Canada’s strongest man! He will destroy you weaklings!”
Rheingans starts quickly. He mat wrestles, and both Bravo and Martin are frustrated. Bravo takes to the floor to regroup, and receive instructions from his manager. He returns, and tries to use his strength. Rheingans fights him off for a time, but Bravo’s strength takes over. He hits a side suplex for the win.
Winner-Dino Bravo
Marc Lowrance is with Sgt Slaughter.
Lowrance, “Sgt Slaughter, you meet Kamala tonight. He is a monster!”
Slaughter, “Attention Puke! Sgt Slaughter does not fear Kamala! I have fought savages all over the World! Sheik, you can send anyone you want after me, I’m ready for it! I will destroy Kamala, and then I’ll come after you! And Lowrance, you still need a haircut’”

World Light Heavyweight Championship
Steve Simpson (Champion) vs. ?
The Champion comes to the ring first. Then Frenchy Martin comes to the ring alone. He takes the mic from Marc Lowrance.
Martin, “Let me introduce the finest Light Heavyweight, weighing 220 pounds, from Montreal, Quebec, Phil LaFleur!”
LaFleur comes to the ring. Trongard, and Mercer tell is LaFleur has been wrestling for a short time, but has become one of the best. Referee Rick Hazzard calls for the bell and we are underway. Both men exchange holds, and counter holds. The pace is dizzying. Simpson uses a sunset flip for a two count. Martin argues with Hazzard about a fast count. LaFleur lands a suplex, and covers Simpson. Steve kicks out. They continue to go back and forth. Both men end up close to the ropes. Simpson scoops up LaFleur. Martin reaches in and grabs Steve’s leg. He goes down with LaFleur on top. Martin holds on to Simpson’s leg. Hazzard does not see this, and counts the fall! Phil LaFleur is the World Light Heavyweight Champion! Frenchy Martin wins again!

Kamala w/Sheik Adnan el Kaissey vs. Sgt Slaughter
The Las Vegas crowd is still buzzing from the title change. Now they are ready for a brawl. Kamala paces back and forth. Bronko Lubich will try to control this one. The bell rings and Kamala charges. Kamala chops away at Slaughter. The Sarge is in trouble. Kamala backs him into the corner, and begins to choke. Slaughter begins to rally. He fights his way out of the corner. The crowd is behind the ex Marine. Slaughter goes for the cobra clutch, but Kamala falls through the ropes. Sheik Adnan checks on him, but Slaughter follows from to the Showboat Pavilion floor. They begin to brawl. Lubich begins to count. He teaches 17, and Slaughter dives back on the ring. Kamala is confused as Bronko reaches 20. The Ugandan savage has been counted out. He goes crazy. The Sheik tries to control the monster.
Winner-Sgt Slaughter (Count Out)
Rod Trongard, and Bill Mercer close the show.
Trongard, “Bill, we saw a title change, we have a new Light Heavyweight Champion!”
Mercer, “What a night, Frenchy Martin continues to make a huge impact in the USWA.”
Trongard, “That will continue next week. In our main event, Masa Saito will defend the American Heavyweight Title against ‘Gentleman’ Chris Adams, don’t miss this one!”
