Trongard, “Coast to coast, continent to continent, border to border, ‘USWA Championship Wrestling’ is on the air. Bill, the ‘Firecracker Spectacular’ is one week away.”
Mercer, “Rod, the excitement is at a fever pitch. We have late breaking news concerning the action on July 2. Fritz Von Erich will be here later. Frenchy Martin has a big announcement, and we have a fantastic main event.”
Trongard, “Jerry Blackwell will meet Kokina Maximus tonight, that is a battle of the giants. Let’s go to Marc Lowrance.”
Match #1
Billy Travis vs. Brickhouse Brown
Two top, young, light heavyweights open the show. Both men are quick, and sharp. Brown uses a sunset flip for a two count. Travis kicks out and goes for a sleephold. Brickhouse escapes, and the match continues. Things are dead even, and the bell rings. The time limit has expired. This was an entertaining match.

Baron Von Raschke vs. Pete Sanchez
The popular Baron meets the rugged Sanchez. Pete is very aggressive, but the German veteran is ready for it. He takes over and clamps on the claw. Sanchez is out.

Marc Lowrance is with Frenchy Martin.
Lowrance, “With me Frenchy Martin. Mr. Martin, I know you have an announcement to make.”
Martin, “That’s right, You stupid American! The Rougeau brothers are going to the top of the tag team world, and now I will control the singles action. I have signed a contract for my new man to wrestle this I mean, this American clown, for the Texas Title. My man will take the title on this big patriotic show you foolish Americans have scheduled!”
Lowrance, “Who is this new man?”
Martin, “See for yourself.”
Rick Martel walks out. Lowrance is stunned.
Lowrance, “Rick Martel? The former AWA World Champion! What are you doing with Frenchy Martin?”
Martel, “Shut up! I’ve been wrestling for almost ten years. I’ve been the World Champion, that’s true, but I’ve been overlooked because I’m Canadien! That’s not going to happen now. Frenchy got me a title shot. I’ll beat this moron, Parsons, and you ugly, stupid Texans will have a Champion you can be proud of!”
Lowrance, “Wow! Rick Martel vs. Iceman King Parsons, what a match that will be. Mr. Martel will be in our next match.”

Rick Martel w/Frenchy Martin vs. Bob Marcus
AWA fans remember Rick Martel as a popular World Champion. He now has a very arrogant way about him. He struts around the ring with disdain for the fans. When the bell rings, he goes to work. He is still a great wrestler. He takes over and wins with the Quebec crab.

Wahoo McDaniel vs. Brad Rheingans
Wahoo has his sights set on Kerry Von Erich. He can’t overlook the talented Rheingans. Wahoo tries to intimidate Brad, but the former Olympian does not take a backwards step. Rheingans suplexes McDaniel to the mat, and goes for a cover. Wahoo kicks out. They go back and forth until Wahoo hits a deep double undertook hour the win.

Bill Mercer and Fritz Von Erich are seated in the studio.
Mercer, “With me is USWA President Fritz Von Erich. Fritz, we are about a week away from the ‘Firecracker Spectacular’. We will be at Comiskey Park, on Chicago, bell time is 8:00 PM. Fritz, we have some more matches to announce. We know Rick Martel will challenge Iceman King Parsons for the Texas Title.”
Fritz, “That’s right. Frenchy Martin pulled some strings, and Martel will meet Parsons for the Texas Title. Martin is really making a name for himself, and his men. The Rougeau brothers will face the former tag team champions, the U.S. Express, Brad and Bart Batten. We will also have a World Light Heavyweight Title match, Steve Simpson will defend against, the Japanese Champion, Masanobu Fuchi. Fuchi is one of the best in the world.”
Mercer, “We can add those matches to what we already know.
The Steiner brothers will meet Rip Morgan, and the Kiwi Assassin
In a six man match, Sgt Slaughter, Jerry Blackwell and Baron Von Raschke take on the Angel of Death, Kokina Maximus and a ‘Mystery Wrestler’
For the Tennessee Title, Buddy Landell defends against Brad Armstrong
For the International Title, Jumbo Tsuruta defends against Hiroshi Wajima
The Fabulous Freebirds defend the World Tag Team Championship against the Fantastics
In a ‘No Disqualification, No Count Out’ match, Nick Bockwinkel challenges Masa Saito for the American Heavyweight Title
Then, on the main event, we have a match, I know, you’d like to talk about.”
Fritz, “You’re right Bill. Kerry is going to defend the World Championship against Wahoo McDaniel in an ‘Indian Strap’ match. This is McDaniel’s favorite match, but Kerry is ready for him.”
Mercer, “Fans, tickets are still available. You do not want to miss this one.”

The Fatastics vs. Los Diablos
The popular Fantastics are hot on the trail of the Champions. Tommy Rogers starts against Diablo I. Tommy is sharp. The masked “Rudo” fights back, but Tommy is ready. He takes control and tags in Bobby Fulton. Diablo II tries his hand, but he fares no better. The Fantastic flip ends the match.

Non-Title Match
The Fabulous Freebirds (World Tag Team Champions) vs. Nick Busick and Mike Reed
Plays and the Champions strut to the ring. It will be Gordy and Roberts tonight with Hayes at ringside. Buddy starts against Busick. The powerful rookie goes right after the veteran. Busick does well until Roberts rakes the eyes. Now Busick is in trouble. Gordy tags in. He punishes Nick. Reed tags in and tries his hand. He is no match for “Bam Bam”. Gordy uses the piledriver for the win.

Marc Lowrance is with Sheik Adnan el Kaissey and Kokina Maximus.
Lowrance, “With me are Sheik Adnan el Kaissey, and Kokina Maximus. Tonight, your man meets Jerry Blackwell. He has proven to be a thorn in your side.”
Sheik Adnan, “Jellly Blackwell! You stupid, fat, American, you are in our way! Kokina is headed to the top of the mountain, you are blocking our path! We will destroy you! You will not slow us down! Mark my words!”
Lowrance, “The Sheik is angry, our main event is next!”

Jerry Blackwell vs. Kokina Maximus w/Sheik Adnan el Kaissey
Marty Miller has his hands full. These two behemoths hate one another. They lock up, and Blackwell gains the early advantage. He uses his experience to control the action. Sheik Adnan shouts instructions from ringside. Kokina rakes the eyes, and this stops Blackwell. Now the big Samoan is in control. He uses chops and kicks to back up Blackwell. Jerry fires back with rights and lefts. We have a pier six brawl. Blackwell tries to whip Kokina into the corner. Miller is on the way, and he goes down. Sheik Adnan climbs up on the ring apron. Blackwell approaches him. The Sheik reaches into his robe and produces a fireball. He hits Blackwell on the face, and he goes down. Kokina covers him as Miller struggles to his feet. He counts the fall. Sheik Adnan and Kokina leave the ring. Sgt Slaughter and Baron Von Raschke come to Blackwell’s aid.
Winner-Kokina Maximus
Bill Mercer and Rod Trongard close the show.
Mercer, “Rod, Jerry Blackwell is seriously injured!”
Trongard, “This looks bad, Bill, really bad.”
Mercer, “I know they will get him the best medical care possible. We are almost out of time. Remember, July 2, Comiskey Park, bell time 8:00 PM. We will be preempt end next Sunday, but join us in two weeks for all the fallout from the ‘Firecracker Spectacular’!
