Bob Geigel Promotions Presents:
ALL STAR WRESTLING
President Pat O’Connor
Referees: Bobby Whitlock, Sonny Myers, and Jimmy McGuire
Ring Announcer: Larry Matysik
Commentators: Kevin Wall and Superstar Billy Graham
Taped on Monday 4/11 @ The Expocenter in Topeka, Kansas and airs across the states of Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas, as well as in the Denver market on Saturday 4/16 and Sunday 4/17.
Match 1
1 Fall 15 Minute Time Limit
The Great Tenryu w/Gen. Skandar Akbar defeated Vic Steamboat of Tidal Force with a powerbomb at 10:10. Steamboat really took it to the menacing Japanese grappler in the early going, using his particular set of skills to keep Tenryu off balance. But once the former Judoka got a feel for his timing and rhythm, and put them hands on Steamboat, it quickly went downhill. Tenryu devastated Steamboat with throws, suplexes, and strikes, specifically his Lariat that Superstar Graham felt like knocked Steamboat unconscious prior to the powerbomb.

We return from break to see the General, along with Tenryu and a posing, happy Iron Sheik at the interview position. Wall asks about the whereabouts of Boris Zukov, who was scheduled to be at Municipal Auditorium this past Saturday. Akbar says that he knew his Brute could handle business and needed a good workout, but don’t “you or any other PEA BRAINED AMERICAN” worry about Comrade Zukov! But speaking of Municipal Auditorium, Bob Geigel, Pat O’Conner, and the wrestling world saw the Iron Sheik pin Bob Backlund. Now there will be no more ducking, no more dodging, no more “surprises,” and no more tag team matches to protect Mr. Backlund’s title.
On April 30th, Bob Geigel promotions returns home to The Kiel in St. Louis for the biggest card of the year, HOMECOMING ’87! What better place for the uncrowned heavyweight champion, the Iron Sheik, to take his thrown..
Sheik: “Bobby, I have beaten you before, I have beaten you in rematches, and I beat you again Saturday. I will have that title because I am numbah 1, (he smacks Tenryu in the chest), Japahn numba 1, and you the jabroni, America? Hacktpooey! Cameraman, zoom!”
Match 2
1 Fall 15 Minute Time Limit
Satanico and Pirata Morgan, Los Infernales, defeated Tommy Angel and Rockin’ Rikki Nelson at 6:33 when Morgan made Angel submit to the Mexican Surfboard. Angel and Nelson have you, speed, and quickness on their side, and presented some difficulties at the opening bell, but Infernales are a dynamic duo and their Lucha was too much for Angel and Nelson. After the bout, Pirata and Satanico put the boots to Angel and then began double teaming Nelson until…
HECTOR AND CHAVO GUERRERO COME RACING DOWN THE AISLEWAY and bring the Kansas Expocenter crowd to its feet!!! Los Infernales hit the floor with the quickness, and the 4 luchadores flap their gums back and forth in Spanish, Hector is holding the ropes open as Chavo puts his hands together, pleading with Infernales to return to the ring, but today is not the day.

We return from break to see the Guerrero Bros standing by with Wall and Superstar. They say that they checked in the back, and both Angel and Nelson are going to be ok. It makes Hector and Chavo sick to their stomachs seeing Infernales’s stupid faces, so you can just imagine how it makes them feel to see these “perros” out here trying to end some youngsters’ careers. But next week, Los Guerreros and Los Infernales will meet in two, singles contests and the Guerreros have something in the works for Homecoming ’87. “The sins of the father might fall upon the sons, but the Guerreros will end this war in St. Louis, bet on it!”

Ravishing Randy and Precious Pat, the Sensational Rose Cousins are soaking up some rays on the beach. Then we see them with some drinks in front them as they get a massage from some beautiful island girls. The Central States tag team championship titles are draped across the table in front of them. Pat says he wonders what all “them losers” in the Heartland of America are doing right about now. He and Randy have a big laugh, and Randy says that their vacation has been nice, but next week they return to All Star Wrestling, and after the big Tag Team Spectacular, they expect some new number one contenders to be announced for Homecoming ’87. With that, Randy and Pat sit up on their massage tables, have some of their drink and tell the ladies to meet them at the pool at Midnight…

By pinfall at 8:48 after Rick dropped Barber with a clothesline and Scotty was able to keep him down with a beautiful German suplex and bridge. The rugged, Southern duo really took it to the youngsters and gave them all they could handle, but the popular Michigan grads were able to fight with them, and their technical wrestling advantage proved to be the difference.
Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff comes to ringside, high 5’s the Steiners and asks them to join him and Superstar Graham for a minute. Orndroff wants to compliment them for their approach to professional wrestling, they do things the right way and work hard, and Orndorff knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are the FUTURE of professional wrestling. He also wants Rick and Scott to know that they should never hesitate to come to Mr. Wonderful for advice, training tips, or help. Now, on to some not-so-wonderful things. This past Saturday, he and Bobby lost their tag bout to Tenryu and Shiek. They knew just how tough the match up would be, but make no mistake, the only reason the Shiek pinned Bobby is because of Akbar and that riding crop. Here in today’s main event, Mr. Wonderful takes on Akbar’s Brute. Now there is no denying that the Brute is big and bad, but so is Mr. Wonderful, and he plans on proving it right here today.
Wonderful and Superstar then send it to the ring, but not before comparing bicep sizes…
Match 4

Brian Blair defeated Jimmy Backlund by pinfall at 5:52 after a picture perfect dropkick right to the nose.

We return from break to see the Patriot, the Eagle, and Brian Blair at the interview position. The Patriot says he doesn’t want to take up too much time, and he appreciates Brian Blair letting him have a minute. But he and the Eagle want to send Corporal Kirchner their support and to let the fans know that following his injury at the hands of the Infernos, the Corporal had some family issues that have kept him out of the ring, but they want him and the fans to know that the Patriot and the Eagle, the FREEDOM FIGHTERS, are still here to fight the good fight. And it doesn’t matter if it’s the MOD Squad, the Samoan Swat Team, or the Rose Cousins, the Freedom Fighters are ready to get back into the hunt in the tag team division, even if they are only scheduled in singles bouts in the next few weeks.
As they walk off, Wall asks Brian Blair about his and Finlay’s big win this past Saturday. Blair says that he had a long talk with Mr. Pat O’Conner and that he knows Finlay returned home to Ireland for a few days, but he has stayed in contact with Mr. O’Conner as well. And that there still has been no official decision made regarding who gets the first shot at Adonis’ TV title. Blair says that he has wrestled in Kiel Auditorium before and it is one of his favorite buildings to wrestle in, “ON EARTH,” and that he would love the opportunity to make history in the best wrestling city, in front of the best wrestling fans, on the biggest show held there in years!
Wall and Superstar discuss possible bouts for HOMECOMING ’87 in St. Louis at the Kiel and how it is shaping up to be a show for the ages. They send it to the final commercial break before the main event.
