Schiavone, “Monday Nitro is back on the air! We are at the Charlotte Coliseum, one of the homes of WCW. With me is Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan, and our special guest, WCW Commissioner, James J. Dillon. Mr. Dillon, welcome to the program.”
Dillon, “Thank you Tony, it’s great to be back.”
Schiavone, “WCW is back, and we have a lot to talk about.”
Heenan, “What am I? Chopped liver? Do I get to talk?”
Schiavone, “What do you want to say Brain?”
Heenan, “Well, nothing right now, but I may want to say something later.”
Schiavone, “Alright, back to the important things. Mr. Dillon, right now WCW has no Champions. I know you want to talk about that.”
Dillon, “Thank you Tony, and Brain, fell free to interject yourself when you’d like. We don’t have any Champions. The reorganization of the company took care of that. In the coming weeks, we will fill all of our Championships. The first one we will talk about is the World Television Championship. We will have two semi-final matches tonight. The two winners will meet at Superbrawl VII, at the Omni, on January 24, to determine the new Champion.”
Heenan, “That was my idea, I’m not surprised you used it.”
Schiavone, “That’s right, the Brain invented the idea of a tournament. Anyway, our first semi-final is next.”
Match #1
World Television Tournament Semi-Final
Marcus Alexander Bagwell vs. Scott Norton
The speed of Bagwell vs. the power of Norton. Bagwell uses holds and counter holds to control the action. Norton gets frustrated. He goes to the roughhouse tactics, and now Bagwell os in trouble. Norton uses a powerslam for the win. He is in the finals.

World Television Tournament Semi-Final
Shane Douglas vs. Diamond Dallas Page w/Kimberly
The “Franchise” comes to the ring first, followed by the popular Page, and the beautiful Kimberly. The match is fast paced. Both men are on top of their games. Douglas traps Page in the corner and punishes him. Kimberly shouts instructions from ringside. Page rallies, and we have a pier six brawl. DDP hits the diamond cutter to stun Douglas. Page has punched his ticket to Atlanta.

Schiavone, Heenan and Dillon are back at the desk.
Schiavone, “Well, we have one match set for Superbrawl VII. Diamond Dallas Page will meet Scott Norton for the World Television Title. Brain, what do you think about this one?”
Heenan, “Norton is powerful, but Page never quits, and Kimberly, I hear, makes a mean pot roast.”
Schiavone, “Thanks Brain. Now back to J.J. We have a World Television Title match set, and I know you have another announcement.”
Dillon, “That will be a great match, but not the only one. We will crown new World Tag Team Champions in Atlanta. Four tag teams will meet in a ‘Four Corners’ match. Those four teams are, the Public Enemy, the Faces of Fear, Harlem Heat, and the Steiner Brothers.”
Schiavone, “Those are the top four teams in the sport. The action will be unbelievable. Now, we have a treat for the fans tonight. Those four teams will meet in our next two matches.”
Match #3
The Steiner Brothers vs. The Public Enemy
The raucous hoodies from Philadelphia come to the ring. When the Steiners come to the ring and PE jump them coming through the ropes. Rocco Rock and Rick go at it, as well as Johnny Grunge and Scott slug it out. Referee Jack Doane has a brawl on his hands. Things are sorted out and Rick and Grunge are in the ring. Rick is very aggressive, but Grunge is a street fighter. They go back and forth. Rock tags in and tries his hand with Rick. Scott tags in and he and Rocco lock up. All four men end up in the ring. In the confusion, Scott hits the Frankensteiner on Rock, and Doane counts the fall.

The Faces of Fear vs. Harlem Heat
This will be another hard hitting contest. The Barbarian and Meng are two of the most dangerous men in the sport. Booker T, and Stevie Ray will not back down. Harlem Heat start fast. Stevie Ray goes right after Meng. The man from Tonga fights back. Two big behemoths stand, in mid ring, and slug it out. Meng begins to gain an edge, and Booker T tags in. Booker uses his athleticism to make some inroads. The Barbarian tags in, and the action continues. Referee Randy Anderson tries to control the action. All four men end up in the ring. The maTch is out of control, and Anderson calls for the bell. He disqualifies both teams.
Result-Double Disqualification
Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan are at the announce desk.
Schiavone, “The tag team scene in WCW looks as hot as ever. Another area that is going to heat up is our international connection. In Mexico, wrestling is called ‘Lucha Libre’. WCW has created, what we call, the ‘International Lucha Division’. It will feature wrestlers from the United States, Mexico, Japan, and all four corners of the world.”
Heenan, “The guys from Mexico make moves I can’t name, and I’ve never seen before. You throw in the guys from Japan, and the best of the world, and it’s going to be exciting.”
Schiavone, “That’s pretty good analysis Brain.”
Heenan, “Of course it was, I’m the ‘Brain’.”
Schiavone, “Coming up, we have action from our ‘International Lucha Division’.”
Match #5
La Parka vs. Ultimo Dragon
La Parka’s costume honors the Mexican ‘Day of the Dead”. The Dragon is Japanese, but trained in Mexico. This represents the International influence of this division. La Parka has the size advantage, and he uses it. He traps the Dragon in the corner. He hammers away. Dragon is able to escape, and uses his speed to change the pace of the match. Both masked men look good, but the Dragon uses an Asai moonsault for the win.

Rey Mysterio Jr. Vs. Juventud Guerrera
Two of the fast rising young stars in Mexico meet in this one. The moves will be spectacular, and hard to follow. The bell rings and both men take off at breakneck speed. Mysterio hits a flying bodypress, and referee Nick Patrick counts two, but Guerrera kicks out. Juventud takes over and lands a baseball slide on Mysterio. Both men are now on the floor. They brawl their way back to the ring. If possible, the pace increases until Mysterio hits a flying bodypress for the win.

Schiavone, “We have kept our main event under wraps so far, but let’s see a clip from one team that will be in the match.”
We see, Big Van Vader, Sid Vicious and Bam Bam Bigelow standing with Madusa, who is dressed in all black.
Madusa, “My name is Madusa, but you knew that. You also know, Big Van Vader, Sid Vicious and Bam Bam Bigelow. Together they are the ‘Devil’s Triangle’, and I’m the ‘Devil’. These three men and I are going to the top, and we don’t care who we destroy on the way. Remember, Madusa, beautiful, but deadly!”
Heenan, “That’s a scary woman. If she would grease my palm, I mean call me, I could offer them some advice.”
Schiavone, “I’m sure you would. Half of our main event is, Sid Vicious and Bam Bam Bigelow in tag team action. They will meet these two me.”
We see Lex Luger and Sting standing beside an empty ring.
Luger, “Madusa, you have three big, tough guys there, but Sting and ai have been on top of WCW for a long time, and the new WCW will be no different!”
Sting, “Owwwwwwwwwwwww! Sting and Lex Luger, together again! We are the biggest names in WCW! Madusa, you are beautiful, and you are deadly, and those three mastodons you have with you are good, but the ‘Total Package’, and the ‘Stinger’ are ready for war!”
Schiavone, “The Devil’s Triangle vs. Sting and Luger, Brain the fans are in for a treat.”
Heenan, “The humanoids will be so excited, they may open another bag of cheetos and pass them around.”
Schiavone, “Let”s go to the ring.
Match #7
Sid Vicious and Bam Bam Bigelow w/Madusa and Big Van Vader vs. Lex Luger and Sting
Luger and Sting are two of the biggest names in the sport. Madusa has the “Devil’s Triangle”, and the numbers advantage. This will be wild. Randy Anderson will try to referee this one. Luger and Sid open the match. Vader is standing at ringside, and that will be a problem. Luger is very smooth, and Sid is frustrated. Sid goes to the roughhouse tactics, and he takes control. Sid grabs an armbar and tags in Bam Bam. The monster from Asbury Park goes after Luger. Lex defends himself, and tags in Sting. The Stinger and Bam Bam lock up. Bigelow whips Sting into the ropes and goes for a clothesline. Sting ducks and hits a dropkick that sends Bigelow to the mat. Stinger goes for the scorpion deathlock. Vader hits the ring and attacks Sting. Luger and Sid come in, and it's a five way brawl. Despite the numbers disadvantage, Sting and Luger hold their own. Madusa and the Devil’s Triangle take to the floor. Sting takes the mic.
Sting, “Look, if you want a six man, Lex and I are for it! Next week, we’ll have a partner, and then we can do this, for real, at Superbrawl!”
The crowd goes crazy, but Madusa and her men don’t seem too excited.
Winners-Lex Luger and Sting (Disqualification)

Schiavone, “Brain, Lex Luger and Sting are ready for Madusa and the ‘Devil’s Triangle’.”
Heenan, “Luger and Sting are cocky, but look at those three monsters. They better find one tough guy to team with them.”
Schiavone, “Next week, Luger and Sting will announce their new man. We will have information about the other titles in WCW, and in our main event, Scott Steiner will meet Booker T. For the ‘Brain’, and I, see you at the first Monday Nitro of 1997!”
