Gorilla runs down the matches that will take place on tonight’s program, saying we’ll be seeing matches from two recent shows in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, and Poughkeepsie, New York. On the show, we’ll see the Rougeau brothers in their first televised match since coming to the WWF! The Honky Tonk Man and “Magnum” Scott Hall will both see singles action! Slick’s monster the One Man Gang will be in action! The one and only Superstar Billy Graham returns to the WWF! And in the main event, the Hart Foundation defend their World Tag Team titles against the former champions, the Rockers, Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty!
We head to the Civic Centre in Brantford, Ontario, Canada for tonight’s first match.
THE ROUGEAU BROTHERS: JACQUES & RAYMOND VS. LES THORNTON & TERRY DANIELS. Lord Alfred Hayes and Jesse “the Body” Ventura are on commentary for this one. Alfred is impressed with the Rougeaus and puts them over as an eventual threat to the Hart Foundation. Jesse, on the other hand, doesn’t think the Harts are too worried about a couple of French Canadians, and implies that the French are sissies. Jacques and Raymond sure don’t seem like sissies here, as they wear Thornton and Daniels down, and eventually get the win at 3:36 when Jacques pins Daniels following a missile dropkick.
Gorilla: “Bobby, those Rougeau brothers are an impressive team, and I for one agree with his Lordship, if they keep up their winning ways, it won’t be long until they’re right in line for a shot at the Hart Foundation!”
Bobby: “I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but I actually agree you with Monsoon, they are an impressive team. I’d even entertain the idea of taking them on as clients, for 70% of their earnings, of course.”
Gorilla (rolling his eyes): “Sometimes I wonder how your men even make a living, with you robbing them blind!”
Bobby: “Hey! They’re successful because of me, everything they have, they owe to me, why shouldn’t I be properly compensated for everything I do for them? Besides, they make so much money under my advisement, they live just fine on their cut of it.”
Gorilla: “I’m sure they do.”
Bobby: “You know, if you had me as a manager when you were wrestling, you could’ve retired to a beach somewhere, with as many bananas as you could eat. Instead you’re here, wearing a suit that looks like it came off a clearance rack at JC Penney.”
Gorilla (ignoring Bobby): “Fans, let’s go to our next match, from the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, it’s the Honky Tonk Man taking on veteran Tony Garea.”
THE HONKY TONK MAN (w/ Jimmy Hart) VS. TONY GAREA. Garea, the rugged veteran and former WWF Tag Team champion, gives Honky a tough time early on. Several times throughout the match, Garea looks to be on his way to victory, and Jimmy Hart looks ready to have a heartattack on the floor! Honky eventually takes control of the match, and after wearing Garea down, he hits the Shake, Rattle & Roll for the pinfall victory at around the 11-minute mark.
We go a WWF UPDATE segment, with Mean Gene Okerlund. Mean Gene says that this week’s WWF Update focuses on Brutus “the Barber” Beefcake.
Footage is again shown of Randy Savage injuring Beefcake’s throat with the ring bell a few months back, and then Brutus coming out and shoving Savage off the top rope as he prepared for the flying elbowdrop on Hulk Hogan at the Wrestling Classic.
We then go to Mean Gene sitting down with Brutus at the Barber’s home. Mean Gene asks Brutus about the injury, and Brutus says that his doctors have cleared him to return to the ring, and he’ll be in action next week on Prime Time Wrestling! He says that Savage is going to pay for what he did, and suggests Savage is just about due for a haircut!
Gorilla: “That’s good news fans, Brutus is alright, and will be back in action next week!”
Bobby: “Only until the next time he gets in the ring with Randy Savage. The Macho Man has assured me that he’s going to finish the job the next time he gets his hands on Brutus.”

Back from the commercial break, we’re back in the studio with Bobby and Gorilla.
Gorilla: “Fans, last week, we showed you a video of a tag team match featuring “Magnum” Scott Hall and Curt Hennig. These two young men were primed and ready to make a big impact in the World Wrestling Federation, unfortunately, Curt Hennig suffered an injury in a recent match, and will be out of action, at least for the foreseeable future. So Scott Hall has gone out on his own for the time being, and we’ve got him in singles action next, from Brantford, Ontario, Canada.”
“MAGNUM” SCOTT HALL VS. MOONDOG SPOT. In his first WWF match as a singles competitor, Scott Hall has his hands full here, against the former WWF tag champ Moondog Spot. Spot’s unorthodox antics give him the early advantage, but Hall battles back, and eventually connects with the running bulldog for the pinfall win at 10:11.
Gorilla: “Fans, quite the win there for Scott Hall, who, as we said earlier, is much more accustomed to tag team wrestling than singles competition.”
Heenan: “Now hold on Monsoon, let’s not forget that the same is true for the man he beat, Moondog Spot. Spot’s usually got Moondog Fido or Cujo or whatever the other one’s name is with him.”
Gorilla: “That’s a good point Brain. But no matter how you slice it, in the end, it’s a victory for Scott Hall, and an impressive one at that. And did you see the female fans in the crowd? They were going crazy for the young man!”
Heenan: “I think your eyes were playing tricks on you Monsoon. When Rick Rude or Paul Orndorff are in action, THAT’S when the female humanoids out there go crazy! When they make their way to the ring, there’s women fainting in their seats!”
Gorilla: “Gimme a break! Fans, let’s go to the ring for our next match, as Leapin’ Lanny Poffo squares off with young Al Snow.”
LANNY POFFO VS. AL SNOW. Poffo gets the win here with the Moonsault press at 5:27.
Gorilla and Bobby talk about the next issue of WWF Magazine, featuring the lovely Miss Elizabeth on the cover, which will be hitting newstands soon.

THE ONE MAN GANG (w/ Slick) VS. AJ PETRUZZI. Petruzzi tries to put up a fight here against the massive OMG, but he doesn’t have much luck, as the Gang pounds the poor guy into the mat, and ends with the match with the front suplex, followed by the 747 splash for the pinfall at the 2-minute mark.
Bobby: “All that was left of that ham n’ egger was a grease spot on the mat!”
Gorilla: “A big win for a big man, the One Man Gang, putting poor AJ Petruzzi away with that 747 splash! Brain, last week we saw the return of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, as the special guest referee for the handicap match of Hogan and Andre against the Road Warriors and their manager Paul Ellering. Let’s take a look at the final moments of that match.”
Bobby: “Yes, let’s show all the humanoids how Roddy Piper earned the distinction of worst referee in WWF history!”
Gorilla: “Will you stop!”
VTR: Hogan & Andre vs the Road Warriors & Ellering, from last week’s episode of Prime Time Wrestling
. . . It’s starting to seem that Piper may not be as impartial as he led everyone to believe he would be. He’s letting the Roadies get away with an awful lot, and some fans start to boo, letting Piper know what they think of his officiating.
However, things change when Piper tries to stop Animal from choking Hogan with his boot. Animal shoves Piper aside and continues to choke the Hulkster. Piper again tries to stop Animal, who again shoves him aside, this time harder. Piper takes a step back, then just shakes his head . . . and connects with a haymaker to the jaw of the Animal!
This brings Hawk and Ellering in, with Precious Paul getting in Piper’s face! Piper drops Ellering with another haymaker, but then gets jumped by Hawk. Andre comes in and he and Hogan pull Hawk off Piper, and double-team Hawk.
They both whip Hawk into the ropes, then deliver a double big boot! With Hawk flat on his back, Hogan runs the ropes, and drops the big leg! Hogan covers Hawk as Piper hits the mat and counts 1, 2, 3!!!!!
Hogan and Andre have won this handicap match!!!!
END VTR
Bobby: “A referee can’t put his hands on the wrestlers!!! Roddy Piper should be fined and suspended forever from the World Wrestling Federation for his actions in that match!”
Gorilla: “Wrestlers need to learn to respect the referee, and when he tells you to do something, you do it. Animal didn’t, and Hot Rod cleaned his clock!”
“SUPERSTAR” BILLY GRAHAM VS. “OUTLAW” DON BASS. The Superstar’s return to the WWF is a triumphant one. The last time we saw him, was as the Kung Fu character, but now he’s back to the Superstar that we all know and love. He’s still bald, but with a dyed-blond goatee and bright, tye-died ring attire. Bass tries to intimidate Graham to start, spitting a big chunk of tobacco at Graham, and the Superstar responds by charging across the ring and nearly taking the Outlaw’s head off with a clothesline! It’s all Graham from that point on, as he pummels Bass, and then locks him in the Bearhug for the submission win at 4:19.
The Superstar poses for the fans afterwards, and they eat it up.
Gorilla and Bobby talk a little about Graham’s return to the WWF, then send us to comments from Heenan’s new charge, Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff.
Mean Gene is standing by with “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff. Orndorff says that he’s back in the WWF for one reason and one reason only . . . to become WWF champion. Orndorff says that he’ll have to go through Hulk Hogan to do it, and that’s just fine with him! He runs Hogan down, saying that the Hulkster has stayed champion by defending the title against hand-picked opponents that he knows he can beat, but that stops now! Orndorff demands a shot at Hogan, and says that once he gets it, the WWF will have a new World champion . . . a truly WONDERFUL World champion!
Bobby: “You were just looking at the next WWF champion, Monsoon, Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff.”
Gorilla: “He’s got the talent to do it, but like he said, he has to go through the Hulkster, and that’s a lot easier said than done.”
Bobby: “Hogan’s never met anyone like Orndorff. He’s a better wrestler than Hogan, he’s stronger than Hogan, he’s the total package, Monsoon. Hogan, listen up pal, your days as champion are numbered because Mr. Wonderful is coming for your title!”
WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP:
THE HART FOUNDATION: BRET HART & JIM NEIDHART (w/ Jimmy Hart) VS. THE ROCKERS: SHAWN MICHAELS & MARTY JANNETTY. The fans are treated to a top-notch tag team match here between the champions, and the team they took the titles from. After 20 minutes of non-stop action, the bell rings, and the match is declared a draw.
Bobby and Gorilla wrap things up.
