09-05-95 -Harry A. Gampel Pavilion Storre, CT"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling, tonight coming to us live from the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion in Storre, Connecticut! They briefly recap last week's show including things heating up between Slick and Von Raschke's factions, Luna Vachon's assault on Beulah McGillicutty, The Hardy Boyz attacking Buck Zumhoff; and Arn Anderson & Scott Taylor interfering on the behalf ot Tag-Team Champs The Lawlers in their Title match with The Hardy Boyz to close the show.They go on to hype tonight's show which will see Luna Vachon get her rematch for the Women's Championship against Ivory, ECW Tag-Team Champs The Lawlers in action; and in the main event a huge 20-Man Battle Royal which will see the return of a major ECW superstar! To which Lanny responds "Oooh yeah!" Gene asks him why he thinks it's the "Macho Man?" To which Poffo says that he doubts it's Jim Brunzell or Michele Starr. Who else would Okerlund consider "major?" Shaking his head Okerlund reminds us that last week Sir William Regal defeated "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman in a #1 Contender's Match for the Eastern States Championship! He will go on to face The Blitzkrieg later this month at ECW's next big event; Old School Rulz!"Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein then hits as the Eastern States Champ The Blitzkrieg emerges from the back with his manager The Baron Von Raschke and tag-team partner Aryan. The Baron gets on the mic and says that there's been alot of foolish talk about this dandy Sir William Regal. That Von Raschke said they didn't care who faced "Mangler's Monster" on September 26th and he meant it. Because at Old School Rulz The Blitzkrieg is going to go back in time, he's going to relive the past. And just like in September of 1940 where the greatest nation in the world, The Republic of Germany decimated the precious town of Britian; this September 1995; The Blitzkrieg will do the same when he enters the ring and mangles Sir William Regal; tearing him down just like they did the buildings or yore. Piece by piece and limb from limb!Match: The Blitzkrieg vs. Douglas Williams "The U.K. Kidd" Douglas Williams heads down to the ring as "God Save the Queen" by the Sex Pistols plays. Danny Davis starts the match and though Williams does his best to mount an offensive against The Blitzkrieg, he no-sells it and catching Doug in mid-air when he goes for a flying crossbody; he lets him have it with a backbreaker over his knee. He then pulls him back up to his feet and hits a chokeslam before stepping on him for the cover and gets the win. This isn't enough for "Mangler's Monster" however as he picks up his opponent and begins destroying Douglas Williams. This goes on for about a minute when William Regal's music hits! He rushes down to the ring and begins pounding on The Blitzkrieg, knocking him back into the ropes while Davis pulls Williams from the ring. William meanwhile whips The Blitzkrieg; but the monster reverses it! And as Regal comes back in he lays him out with the big boot! From there Aryan and The Baron enter the ring and the trio go to work on Regal as ECW goes to it's first...Tag-Team Match: Sex & Violence vs. The Lawlers Sexton Hardcastle starts things out with Jerry Lawler as Danny Davis starts up the match. Both Hardcastle and Joe E. Legend get some offense in, with Sexton seemingly flirting with Brian Lawler a bit to distract him before rolling him up into a schoolboy for a two count. From bell to bell the ECW Tag-Team Champs are in full control however with Brian Lawler hitting the Tennessee Jam guillotine legdrop on Legend for the pin.William Regal cuts a promo starting with congratulating Steve Blackman on giving him a tough match last week. He then talks about the Baron Von Raschke and his Ubermensch. He informs us that Von Raschke may have a short memory, but he doesn't. His own father was in World War II. He helped defeat the German menace. His grandfather did the same in World War I. You see, the Regals have a bit of a history of defeating Krauts. And this September, just like his father did 30 years ago; Sir William Regal the Third will cause Germany to surrender yet again when he does the impossible and makes "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg tap out; bringing the Title to the true greatest country in all the land: Great Britain!Match: Matt Hardy vs. Ronnie Garvin The new Light Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy comes down to ringside with his brother for this one. The announcers remind us how Jeff beat Buck Zumhoff for the belt this past Saturday. Once Matt Hardy and Ronnie Garvin are inside the ring S.D. Jones starts the match. Hardy is obviously a bit fearful of "The Rugged One" and does his best to keep his distance, only attacking while Jeff runs interference. This leads to Matt hitting the Twist of Fate cutter and he makes the cover! 1!... 2!.. Garvin kicks out! Matt keeps on top of him for a bit, with Garvin failing to make a comeback only because Jeff reaches in an trips him up! It's the last time he gets the chance however when the audience comes alive and Jeff turns right into a crutch to the face! He staggers back as a second blow knocks the Champ to the floor where he looks up to see his attacker is "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff! This of course distracts Matt Hardy who takes his eyes off Ronnie Garvin which proves to be a big mistake as "The Hands of Stone" takes over and Ronnie Garvin works him over before hitting an exploder suplex followed by the Garvin Stomp which nets him the pin! He then helps Buck up into the ring and the two men shake hands.Back from the break Okerlund and Poffo remind us that next week ECW will be coming to us live from the Hartford Civic Center in beautiful Hartford, Connecticut. They tell us that while tickets for the show are sold out, those folks at home should be sure to join us right her on Eastern Championship's home station of TNN The Nashville Network to catch all the excitement live. They then hype the next match showing a replay of last week where former Women's Champ "Mad Dog" Luna Vachon attacked Beulah McGillicutty and referee S.D. Jones during a match demanding a Title shot here tonight. This following another vicious assault on the current Women's Champ Ivory backstage. "Mean" Gene finds this revolting, but Lanny says it was a "Genius" move on Vachon's part; she is getting her shot at the Title after all.Women's Championship Match: Luna Vachon vs. Ivory Referee Danny Davis seems to be giving Luna Vachon a stern warning before the match. Ivory then comes down to the ring with the Women's Championship. Her head is bandaged where she was busted open last week. She poses on the turnbuckle with the Title, but when she hops down Luna Vachon charges her and brings her down with a brutal clothesline! She makes the cover but barely gets a two. Ivory spends the rest of the match fending off Luna's vicious assault, but "Mad Dog" dominates her hitting a snap suplex and a Flowing DDT that reopens Ivory's wounded head starting the blood flowing. From there Luna concentrates on the wound, getting herself in trouble with the ref frequently until suddenly from the back comes Beulah McGillicutty! She has a steel chair with her and though Luna has enough time to react, she doesn't have enough to stop herself from getting cracked across the skull with it! She goes down hard as the bloodied Women's Champ gets back up to her feet and with Beulah puts the boots to Vachon before the duo pull "Mad Dog" up to her feet and plant her with a double DDT on the steel chair! Luna is out cold as ECW goes to another...Back from the break "You're the Best Around" by Joe Esposito plays as "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho heads down to the ring dangling the Inter-Promotional Title from one hand and holding a bat in the ohter. He isn't his usual boisterous self as he is all business walking down to the ring looking about at the audience. Inside the ring he hoists his belt over his shoulder before accepting a microphone from Joel Gertner. He says that we might've realized last week that everyone's favorite Inter-Promotional Champion wasn't here. And that had just a little something to do with that savage Carlos Colon putting him in the hospital. He wants to know who the hell bites someone? But he's had his shots and now he's back. Now the reason he's only giving Carlos a little credit for what went down two weeks ago is this. He holds up the bat to the audience. He then says that as we all know, since winning the Inter-Promotional Title he's been out to prove he's without a doubt the single greatest athlete in the world! And to be sure there's been no doubt to this claim, since winning the belt he's held himself up to a higher standard. Been a symbol of integrity and sportsmanship. So for anyone, even an imbecile like Carlos Colon to think he'd actually use a bat in a match is ridiculous. At best!
So tonight he's out here to clear the air. Two weeks ago he was framed by this shadow that's been following him. This stalker. This man, woman, whatever that's obviously envious of his achievements over the past year. Defeating the best every sport, every form of entertainment has had to offer and proven himself to be the most epic, most skilled individual who's ever lived! Now he has a few suspects. There's been a list of people that's been getting shorter and shorter, narrower and narrower as the weeks have went on. But this bat. This bat is the best evidence yet. And now Jericho thinks he knows exactly who's behind his recent troubles. Someone so consumed with jealousy that someone so young has achieved so much. Someone who's been stuck, weighed down in a lesser company for years. A so-called legend in this sport who wants what Chris Jericho now holds. The most coveted of Titles. And of course this man's name is...
Chris never finishes the sentence when he's cut off as the lights dim and a strobe lights goes off. Jericho's attention is diverted to somewhere above him and as the cameras pan up we see there's someone high up in the rafters! It's hard to tell what he looks like but he seems to be wearing a long black trenchcoat of some sort. Then a voice is heard saying... Chris Jericho! It tells him for the past year he's sat and watched from his perch as "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" has made a mockery of this sport. A sport he's bled and sweated for over the better part of the decade. And it hasn't gone unnoticed. So beware Chris Jericho. Because on September 26th he's coming for him. And he's going to take the Inter-Promotional Championship home with him. To where it truly belongs. A howl is then heard and the lights go completely out!
When they turn back on Chris is laid out in the middle of the ring out cold! There's blood coming from his head and the baseball bat has vanished. Lanny and Gene wonder if the man was who they think it was. Could it be? While they talk officials show up and check on Jericho whom they strap to a stretcher and carry from the ring.Match: Erin O' Grady vs. Black Bart After "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady finishes tossing his coins to the crowd, "The Outlaw" Black Bart is seen in Eastern Championship for the first time since February and gives O'Grady a tough fight before getting put away with the Lucky Charm double underhook lifting implant DDT! as referee S.D. Jones makes the count. ECW correspondent Terri Runnels is with "The Doctor of Style" Slick and his men Butch Reed and Brickhouse Brown. Slick starts off by saying he's quite happy for their rivals Colonel Klink and co. getting to defend the Eastern States Championship at Old School Rulz. Because that of course means the # 1 contender spot for the Tag Titles is once again open and who better to give that opportunity to than his team of Reed and Brown. Cause all things being equal there's not another team in the division that could claim to have earned the right to face The Lawlers on September 26th. So if the Bisch wants to keep thing civil around here, he knows what action he should take. Ain't that right boys? To which Butch and Brickhouse respond "Affirmative."Match: Doug Gilbert vs. Christian Cage Danny Davis starts the match and young Christian Cage does his best fighting back and forth with "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert for a bit before Gilbert hits him with the Hot Shot flapjack dropped into a hangman which gets him the three count.'Macho Man' Randy Savage ThemeAfter the match we're taken to a promo that begins with Pomp and Circumstance playing! But we quickly hear a noise like a record scratch and the song is replaced by a very familiar strip theme as we see a flock of women screaming. The camera then settles on ECW correspondent Terri Runnels who appears quite taken with her next guest; "Ravishing" Rick Rude! He tells them to "Cut the music" before telling us to "Guess who's back?" He smiles at the camera before grabbing Terri who he sweeps off her feet and kisses passionately. She doesn't seem to mind.Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's huge Main Event to determine the # 1 Contender for the ECW Title at Eastern Championship's next big event; Old School Rulz! And what better way to determine it than in a 20-man over the top Battle Royal! The ECW Champ Steve Corino has joined them at ringside to oversee the competition. He has Jason Venom with him.They then go over the competitors in the match, recapping some of the entrances including the return of Rick Rude. "Mean" Gene is pulling for Arn Anderson in this one, wanting to see "The Enforcer" get his hands on this so-called "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino at the pay per-view and reclaim his Title. Steve tells him not to be an ass. Obviously Anderson is far too washed up for that to happen. Lanny however is rooting for "Mr. Moustache" B. Brian Blair; whom he says obviously is the major ECW star Eric Bischoff mentioned returning last week. Not "Ravishing" Rick Rude. Corino chuckles but doubts Rude has what it takes. In fact if he were a betting man he'd be putting money down on Matt or Jeff Hardy. Okerlund looks annoyed and says of course Steve would love that. The Champ agrees saying that Jeff particularly has been on a roll of late, winning the ECW Light Heavyweight Championship last week from Buck Zumhoff. He'd be one hell of a challenge at Old School Rulz. He then yells "Go Jeff!" Main Event: 20-Man # 1 Contender's Battle RoyalParticipants: Rick Rude, Arn Anderson, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Buck Zumhoff, Dick Murdoch, Junkyard Dog, Cousin Jamie, Masato Tanaka, Yoshihiro Tajiri, Rhino, Rob Van Dam, Dustin Rhodes, B. Brian Blair, Mike Sharpe, Brian Lawler, Erin O'Grady, Doug Gilbert, Ronnie Garvin, Scott Taylor The match starts with all 20 participants in the ring and once S.D. Jones starts the match all hell breaks loose. Three minutes in proves Lanny isn't a psychic when Cousin Jamie climbs up onto Doug Gilbert's shoulders and leaping off takes B. Brian Blair over the top rope with a flying crossbody! Jamie just saves himself by grabbing the top rope on his way over and dropping to the apron rolls back in while Danny Davis who is directing traffic on the outside sends a pissed Blair to the back. A couple of minutes later the Bayou Boys strike again when Doug Gilbert hits Dustin Rhodes with the Hot Shot flapjack dropped into a hangman and along with Cousin Jamie lifts Rhodes up and runs him out of the ring! At this point the commentators begin talking about the definite advantage some of the participants have having an ally with them. They then ponder just how long these teams will last if things come down to just the two of them.
Arn Anderson who's up until this time spent most of the match fighting with Matt Hardy and Mike Sharpe gets a surprise when suddenly the Hardy Boyz rush across the ring and nail him with a double clothesline over the top! Arn doesn't go down easy however and grabs hold of Matt and Jeff pulling them out to the floor with him! As he goes over Jeff in desperation grabs the top rope and dangles from it over the floor before pulling himself up onto the apron. He catches his breath for just a second when he's eliminated by a dropkick courtesy of "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff! Buck gives the crowd a little victory dance while on the outside The Hardy Boyz attack "The Enforcer!" The numbers game is against him and they have Arn down on the floor, putting the boots to him when inside the ring Scott Taylor runs the ropes and charging across the ring leaps over the top and connects with a suicide dive on the Boyz! All three men go down hard, but when they recover all four men begin brawling at ringside with Anderson and Taylor having the clear advantage this time.
Buck Zumhoff doesn't have much time to celebrate as he's eliminated next by Rob Van Dam who hurls Buck out after hitting the "Rock 'N Roller" with the springboard DDT! He points to his shoulders for the fans who're divided on whether to cheer or not this time and "Mr. Wednesday Night" gets booed a bit for eliminating Buck. Rick Rude scores the next elimination when Rhino runs him into the ropes and he grabs "The Man-Beast" and suplexes him out of the ring! Dick Murdoch is next out when he's taken by surprise with an Irishcanrana courtesy of "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady! There's no time for him to celebrate however as he turns right into a dropkick from Brian Lawler that sends him right over the top.
Fifteen minutes have gone by and half the participants are already gone when Doug Gilbert whips Cousin Jamie into Ronnie Garvin in the corner, hitting the Dosey Doe and together the Bayou Boys hurls him out over the top! Okerlund is very impressed with the duo's performance here tonight and the fans love their hillybilly antics. Garvin isn't too thrilled and yells at them from the outside before heading to the back. Rob Van Dam gets dumped outside with a Thump! powerslam next after a headbutt courtesy of The Junkyard Dog. JYD himself falls victim next getting hit with a sitout facebuster which sees him bounce up to his feet in a daze and clotheslined out by Brian Lawler. The Bayou Boys luck finally runs out when Rick Rude knocks Cousin Jamie on his ass before laying Doug Gilbert out with the belly to back piledriver! Lifting him up, Rude easily dumps "The Redneck Rebel" over the side eliminating him. Then hoisting Jamie up to his feet Rick whips him toward the ropes, but Jamie reverses! But Rude reverses again and sends his opponent rocketing into the ropes and over the top crashing into his cousin on the floor below!
Rick Rude looks around at the four competitors remaining. It's down to him, Brian Lawler, Mike Sharpe; and the New Orient Express. Together The Express charge Brian Lawler, who ducks and back drops Yoshihiro Tajiri from the ring! Masato Tanaka begins beating on him while Rick Rude squares off against "Iron" Mike Sharpe. Grabbing Brian up into the air Masato Tanaka powerbombs him out of the ring while at almost the same time Canada's Greatest Athlete has batter Rick into the ropes and moves back looking for the running forearm smash! But at the last second Rude ducks down and pulls down the tope rope with him allowing Mike Sharpe to use his own momentum to send him tumbling out of the ring! He doesn't catch much of a breather as Masato Tanaka is immediately on him. The two men battle back and forth for a while with Tanaka having an edge until Rick Rude manages to catch him with a short jab to the chin knocking Tanaka back and whipping him across the ring charges in for the clothesline! He sends Masato Tanaka out to the floor! He beats his fists on the cement outside while inside Rick Rude has his hand held in victory! Rick Rude will be facing Steve Corino at Old School Rulz!
Just then "Mr. Wrestling" slides into the ring with the ECW Championship and jumping up clocks Rick Rude in the face with it! He busts "The Ravishing One" open, but he doesn't go down until Steve Corino lets him have it with a second Title shot! Rick Rude refuses to stay down however and climbs back to his feet where he's met by... Jason Venom! The big man grabs Rude and hits him with the Venom sheer-drop release powerbomb! Steve Corino then mockingly welcomes Rick Rude back to ECW!

09/08/95 - Connecticut"Here I Am Rocking Like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions plays as "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff appears on the set of a brightly colored talk show set with a Rock 'N Roll/Wrestling theme. He is limping a little but boogies on out and high fives several of the cheering kids and their parents before getting on the stage before them. He then introduces himself as AWA Legend and former ECW Lightweight Champion; and wrestling's one and only true "Rock 'N Roller" Buck Zumhoff!'He then welcomes everyone to another episode of ECW Slammin' Saturdays Season 3! As promised last week he has another awesome announcement this week; and that is the debut of the second series of ECW's new Hasbro toyling of Eastern Championship Wrestling mini-figures. This time around they feature figures of "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin, ECW President Eric Bischoff, "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho, "The Outlaw" Black Bart, senior referee Danny Davis; and one Buck is particularly excited about because it's none other than "The Rock 'N Roller" himself; Buck Zumhoff!Buck, Eric & Garvin made by doublejcollectibles on Ebay Bart, Davis & Jericho made by my wifeSeries 1 Still Available!He then heads over to the broadcast booth where he introduces his co-host "Captain" Lou Albano! Albano laughs at Zumhoff who he claims at 3 and a 1/2" finally has a figure of himself in scale. Just ask his girlfriends. He then says that Hasbro obviously hasn't been in business for too long, having not yet filled the greatest void in the collection. A Captain Lou Albano figure! Zumhoff says that's one thing we don't have to worry about happening. Ever. And Albano cackles before saying it already did and at a monstrous 8" it is indeed 100% accurate! He then pulls out his old LJN figure and uses it to knock Buck's figure off the desk! Buck just grumbles to himself about having to work with idiots.As usual Joel Gertner handles the intros.Rob Van Dam vs. Junkyard Dog Danny Davis starts the match and at the start "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam uses his speed to his advantage hitting the resilient Junkyard Dog with several moves from his impressive arsenal including the monkey flip, a standing dropkick; and the Rolling Thunder after which he makes the cover. The Dog eliminated RVD in the 20-Man Battle Royal this past Wednesday and Rob is looking to get his pound of flesh. JYD hangs in there though and kicks out at two, but Rob remains in control and works over The Dog until Junkyard catches him with a massive headbutt! From there JYD takes control of the match dominating Van Dam until the young former Champ uses several cheap tactics including a thumb to the eye and a roll up with a handful of tights to reclaim the advantage. This gets the kids rather annoyed with Rob Van Dam as he cockily battles Junkyard Dog before hitting him with a springboard reverse DDT for the pinfall. After the match he points to his shoulders and gets a mixed reaction as some of the kids chant "Rob... Van... Dam!"After the break we learn Mr. Fuji and The New Orient Express that it doesn't matter that The Lawlers beat their Tag-Team title reign of six months and twenty-two days because they've still done something The Lawlers haven't done; and that's win the ECW Tag-Team Titles 2 times!Black Bart vs. Bobby Starr "The Outlaw" Black Bart mostly dominates Bobby Starr here before taking him out with the Texas Trash Compactor diving leg drop for the three count from Davis.We're taken to a pre-recorded black & white promo with Tommy Dreamer & Dustin Rhodes who're tossing back a few beers. Tommy Dreamer talks about growing up hard as a kid and watching professional wrestling as a form of escape from the real world. He tells us how he used to idolize guys like Terry Funk, Jake Roberts; and Dusty Rhodes. And that when he got his start in the business he found out it was even tougher than life in the real world. Luckily he found a friend in one of his childhood heroes, in Dusty Rhodes. Along with his son Dustin, he took him under his wing. Made him feel like part of a family for the first time in his life. Dustin then breaks in and tells us this is why he had to make the jump from WCW to ECW. He saw his brother Tommy Dreamer in trouble and new it was the right time to make his mark in the business his way. Step out from under his father's sizeable shadow in World Championship and come here, kick ass, take names; and make the Rhodes name proud. First and foremost by putting down "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle and Rhino; Destruction Inc. Tommy then breaks in and says now with that accomplished. With Dustin Rhodes by his side, they have a new mission. And that's to win some Championship gold. Together. So whether it's The Lawlers, The Hardyz, Destruction Inc. or anyone else in their way; they'd better be prepared to step aside or take a beating; because they're looking for the ECW Tag-Team Championships. One way or another. Tommy Dreamer & Dustin Rhodes vs. The Bayou Boys The Bayou Boys are no slouches and get in a good bit of offense in during this match officiated by Danny Davis. They get a set of two counts on Tommy Dreamer, one after Doug Gilbert nails Tommy with the Hot Shot flapjack dropped into a hangman and another when Cousin Jamie hits leapt up off the apron onto the top rope and took Dreamer down with a sprinboard elbow smash. They also nearly put Dustin Rhodes out for good when "The Redneck Rebel" trapped him in a clawhold before tagging in Jamie who hit the dazed Dustin with a bridged Northern Lights suplex! Tommy Dreamer almost got the win after hitting Doug with a DDT and later Jamie with a Piledriver; but failed to get the three count. After failing to get the pin on Cousin Jamie early in the match with a springboard bulldog off the second rope; it is Dustin Rhodes who avenges his elimation from the 20-Man Battle Royal earlier in the week when he cracks Doug Gilbert's head like an egg with a lifting falling inverted DDT for the win.
Buck Zumhoff then says that he knows these kids like Wrestling; but do they love Rock'N Roll as much as "The Rock 'N Roller" himself? He then sends us to a music video requested by Dustin Rhodes & Tommy Dreamer in honor of the legendary Dusty Rhodes!American Dream Dusty Rhodes ThemeFinally Buck Zumhoff says that time is almost up for this week's show and that it's now time for Slammin' Saturdays Main Event feature; the Wrestling Rewind. He says that this week's Rewind is from back on August 31th when the current # 1 Contender "Ravishing" Rick Rude fought then ECW Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage for the Title!8/31/94 Main Event Heavyweight Title Match: Randy Savage vs. Rick Rude Davis calls for the bell and starts the Match while Randy grabs the top rope and begins putting the boots to Rude before the challenger escapes to the outside. Inside the ring "Macho Man" mocks Rude by doing Rick's signature dance for the crowd before turning to Combs and plants one on her; giving he a "Macho Awakening." Randy then slaps Comb's ass and tells her to get out of the ring. Rick is annoyed by the Champ's antics and throws off his robe before climbing up on the apron. Randy charges Rude again, but Rick hits him with a shoulder thrust before using the top rope to spring himself up over Savage and catch him in a sunset flip! He gets a two count before Randy kicks out hard. The two men immediately pop back up and begin trading punches before Savage nails Rude with a clothesline sending him stumbling back into the ropes. Following his opponent in, Randy whips Rick across the ring and connects with a jumping high knee that sends Rude crashing to the floor. Grabbing Rude up off the floor Randy begins hammering his back and neck. He looks like he's going for the pildriver when Rick comes alive and battles out with a couple elbows. The last catching Randy in the eye. When Savage stumbles around Rick grabs him by the head and delivers a facebuster over his knee to the Champ before running him face first into the turnbuckle. Still holding Savage by the head; Rude climbs up onto the top where he sits for a second before swinging off for a Tornado DDT. Randy however counters it and grabbing Rick slams him down onto the mat before falling back into the corner where he catches his breath. Rick Rude meanwhile turns himself over and begins crawls away; but Randy sees him and walking over grabs "The Ravishing One" by the leg. He then hits a jumping knee drop to the back of Rude's knee; before getting up and hitting an elbowdrop to the back of Rude. Turning his opponent over Savage goes for the pin; but only gets a two count. Picking Rick up off the mat, Randy Irish whips him across the ring. On the rebound however Rude leapsfrogs over Randy's head; and hits the ropes behind the Champ. On his way back Rude leaps into the air and hits him with a flying crossbody press. Hooking Savage's leg he goes for the pin; but only gets a two before Savage counters it by rolling Rude up in an inside cradle! 1...2.... Rick kicks out! 3!! Randy is back on his feet first, but Rude while still on one knee catches the Champ with a punch to the gut. He gets to his feet and begins hammering on the head of Savage; but soon Randy is returning fire blow for blow. The two competitors continue hammering on one another until Randy drives Rude back into the ropes and Randy leaps over them to hit a hair-pull hangman on Rude. Rick staggers backward before falling flat on his back. On the outside Randy signals for the flying elbow drop to the crowd. He then proceeds to climb up the turnbuckle on the outside. Getting in position he leaps into the air; and comes crashing down with nobody home as Rude rolls out of the way! Back first on his knees, Rick wobbly gets to his feet before stomping on the downed Champ. He then lifts Randy to his feet and sets him up for the Rude Awakening. Just as he's about to hit it however; Randy reverses it into a backslide! He gets a two count on Rick; who hops up and begins putting the boots to Savage. He picks Randy up and begins hammering on him until Randy out of nowhere nails an inverted atomic drop on Rude. He falls to his knees and makes the cover; but Rick kicks out at two. Both men look tired as they struggle back to their feet. Rude and Savage size each other up before they lock up. The two men press for advantage; but when it looks like Randy is going to overpower him; Rude jabs him in the eye with his thumb. Randy stumbles back a bit as the lights go dark and mist fills the arena. Voodoo drums play as Papa Shango and Brickhouse Brown appear on the ramp.Randy Savage has recovered and now is pointing to the ramp accusing Rick Rude of siding with The Dark Circle. Rude seems to be denying it when Shango and Brown charge the ring and jump into action. Papa Shango begins hammering on Savage while Brickhouse goes after Rude. The four men battle each other around the ring and Danny Davis calls for the bell declaring the Match a No-Contest. Although both Rude and Savage were caught offguard at first; the two men rally back and drive The Dark Circle from the ring. Together Savage and Rude argue with Papa Shango and Brickhouse Brown as the dark duo back their way up the ramp.

09-12-95 - Hartford Civic Center Hartford CT"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling! Tonight coming to us live from the sold-out Hartford Civic Center in beautiful Hartford, Connecticut. They briefly recap last week's show with Sir William Regal saving Doug Williams from The Blitzkrieg, Beulah McGillicutty interrupting Luna Vachon's shot against Women's Champion Ivory, someone who appeared to be... well someone attacking Chris Jericho; and "Ravishing" Rick Rude not only returning; but winning a 20-man Battle Royal to become the # 1 Contender for the ECW Championship!
They then begin hyping tonight's big show which will see Regal tag with Williams against Von Raschke's Ubermensch; and both the # 1 contender Rick Rude and the ECW Champion Steve Corino in single's action as they take on "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman and "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin respectively.Just then "You're the Best Around" by Joe Espito hits as the Inter-Promotional Champion Chris Jericho storms down to the ring! Once inside the ring "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" goes on another tirade telling us how being he damn well knows all the eyes in the entire world are glued on him 24/7; that we all already know what happened to him last week. Clubbed from behind. In the dark. Blood spilling from his head. Carried out of that rat hole in Storre, Connecticut on a stetcher! And he's pretty sure, he's fairly certain that just like the "Loud-Mouth" himself; everyone in this building and all the millions of fans watching at home know just who did it! In the dark. Attacked from behind. With a baseball bat. The evidence is mounting isn't it? A coward. A coward who sits waiting in the rafters. Biding his time to blindside his opponents?! Who else can it be? He's probably up there tonight trying to look all dark. So mysterious. Well Sting! That's right Sting! You're not fooling Chris Jericho! You may've changed your make-up; but you're still an ass clown! You aren't dark. You aren't mysterious. You're just as mysterious as who's going to be the victor at Old School Rulz Sting! That's right. Because Jericho is calling you out right here. Right now. And on September 26th at the Commack Arena in front of all "The Long Island Loud-Mouth's people; he's going to destroy Sting's legacy by retaining the Inter-Promotional Title once again and send him crawling back with his tail between his legs to WCW!
Chris then stalks about the ring looking up at the rafters as if expecting an attack. But none comes and he hesitantly returns to the back. Lanny and Gene discuss this huge announcement that at ECW's next big event; "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho will be facing WCW's Sting for the Inter-Promotional Championship! That is of course if Sting doesn't chicken out Lanny reminds Okerlund who scoffs at the idea of him backing down to Jericho.
Joel Gertner then makes the intros for the first match of the night.Tag-Team Match: Sex & Violence w/ Buck Zumhoff vs. The Hughes Brothers "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff who is still hobbling a bit acts as manager for Sexton Hardcastle and Joe E. Legend in this one where Danny Davis officiates while Sexton Hardcastle starts things out with little Spike Hughes. There's some good back and forth with several pin attempts with all four men getting some ringtime when midway through the match The Hardy Boyz rush down to the ring and attack Zumhoff! They begin working him over distracting Joe E. Legend who gets hit with a spinebuster from Devon Hughes who makes the pin! Sexton meanwhile attempts to help his friend Buck only to get nailed with the Twist of Fate cutter by Matt Hardy for his troubles! The Hardys then pull a defenseless Buck Zumhoff up to his feet and set him up for a double DDT on the concrete!But Arn Anderson and Scott Taylor appear on the ramp and rush down to make the save! The Hardy Boyz quickly toss Buck aside as Anderson & Taylor attack them! The four men begin brawling, but it's soon obvious "The Enforcer's" side has the advantage and The Hardys hightail it out of there over the barricades and through the fans while Scott Taylor helps Buck Zumhoff up to his feet.Match: Mongo Vyle vs. Tommy Dreamer Mongo Vyle makes his return to single's competition and seems to be favoring his previously injured foot a bit as he battles his old rival Tommy Dreamer. He looks good early on getting nearfalls on Dreamer with the Machiavellan Cutter and a release powerbomb; but Dreamer hangs in there and ends up getting the three count from referee S.D. Jones after hitting Mongo Vyle with the DDT. After the match Mongo is a bit dazed as he gets up to one knee and comes face to face with Takako Inoue who has been barking orders from ringside the whole time. She looks pissed and lets a stunned Vyle have it with a slap across the face! "The Machavellan Mauler" looks livid and storms off with Inoue in tow. After the match we're taken to ECW correspondent Terri Runnels who is standing with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Scott Taylor in front of the ECW banner. Arn tells her about their recent problems with these Omega kids. Arn says that the lot of them like playing the parts of wrestlers right up until the point they have to take a shot to their punk faces. But that they aren't going to get out of taking an ass-whooping in two weeks because he got word from Eric Bischoff that at Old School Rulz him and his friend Scott Taylor will have there chance at The Hardy Boyz with the other Horsemen banned from ringside. And just in case they decide to show up anyway; this time Anderson has a little insurance policy cooked up. Terri asks what this insurance policy is. And Arn just smiles and walks away.Match: Beulah McGillicutty vs. Takako Inoue Beulah McGillicutty is looking good in this outing, having a fast paced bout with Takako Inoue while Danny Davis officiates when Luna Vachon rushes down and slides into the ring!"Mad Dog" quickly lets Inoue have it with a snap DDT before getting attacked by McGillicutty herself! Though Beulah has the edge at first, Luna quickly recovers and nailing her adversary with a clothesline; starts stomping a mudhole into her until Beulah rolls from the ring. Vachon then has Joel Gertner hand her the microphone and says that last week she was cheated out of regaining the Women's Championship by that hussy Beulah and she demands retribution. She wants a rematch for the Title at Old School Rulz. And if she wins she wants Matt Borne re-instated immediately! She is about to continue when she's spun about and brought face to face with...Beulah McGillicutty?! Beulah attacks Vachon again and savagely tears into her knocking her back into the ropes where she whips her across the ring and on the rebound nails her with an atomic drop! As Vachon staggers from the blows, McGillicutty proceeds to plant her face first to the mat with a bulldog! Getting back up she puts the boots to Luna for a bit before snatching the microphone from the floor. She tells Luna Vachon that she doesn't give a shit what she wants. That she can be just as vicious as she is and if the crazy bitch wants another Title shot; well she's going to have to come through her to get it."Mean" Gene and Lanny welcome us back before reminding us that next week's show will be coming to us live from the Manhattan Center in Manhattan, New York and that while tickets for the show are already sold out; those folks at home should be sure to join us right here on Eastern Championship's home station of TNN The Nashville Network!"Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein then hits as The Baron Von Raschke appears on the ramp with the Eastern States Champion The Blitzkrieg and his son Aryan von Raschke. He laughs at the many enemies of The Republic of Germany. At William Regal's promo last week about Britain defeating the Motherland. Every school child knows, Germany didn't lose the war. And then that fool "The Doctor of Style" Slick. Looking for yet another handout. Thinking that just because his charge "Mangler's Monster" has to defend the Eastern States Championship his men should be handed yet another Title shot. Typical of his people, wanting something without working for it. Well it's not going to happen! Oh no. Because Slick forgot one very important fact. And that is The Blitzkrieg, "Mangler's Monster" never sleeps. Never tires. Never rests. So bent is he on destroying, maiming; and crushing his foes to so much bloody pulp. Under his iron boot. In his steel fist. His charge is truly unstoppable. Having two matches in one week would not fatigue him in the slightest. Which is why next week. In that very ring, his Ubermensch shall go out there and meet Slick's boys once again! And grind them to pulp; becoming the # 1 contender's for the ECW Tag-Team Championships; which they will take once and for all on September 26th at Old School Rulz!Tag-Team Match: William Regal & Doug Williams vs. Aryan von Raschke & The Blitzkrieg William Regal and his partner "The U.K. Kidd" Douglas Williams catch a break early on as they isolate Aryan Von Raschke in their corner and work him over. They make several pin attempts on Aryan, coming closest when the younger Von Raschke attempts to escape across the ring and Williams uses the Chaos Theory waist lock backwards roll transitioned into a bridged German Suplex to return him to their corner! Aryan just kicks out however and after being dominated a bit more finally manages to escape after hitting the Sieg Hail! superkick out of nowhere on "The U.K. Kidd." He scrambles across the ring and tags in The Blitzkrieg! Sir William Regal quickly urges Williams to tag him in and he makes the hot tag at the last second as "Mangler's Monster" charges in. Regal surprisingly holds his own against the huge Champ who only has a slight edge until The Baron Von Raschke trips him up while Aryan distracts referee S.D. Jones. William Regal is only distracted for a second; but it's enough as he walks right into a Chokeslam from Berlin from The Blitzkrieg who makes the cover and picks up the win over the man who'll be after his Title in two weeks at Old School Rulz! Von Raschke raises his men's hands in victory as ECW goes to...Match: Scott Taylor vs. Jerry Lawler Scott Taylor does surprisingly well against Jerry Lawler here, getting two count following a flying crossbody and earlier on with a dropkick. "The King" gives better than he gets however and drops the strap after dominating Taylor a bit after kicking out of the crossbody before going up top himself and hitting Scott with the flying elbow drop. He makes the cover and picks up the three count from referee Danny Davis.Match: Rick Rude vs. Steve Blackman Rick Rude looks a bit rusty in this one as "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman takes the fight right to him, nearly scoring the upset on the # 1 contender for the ECW Title with a bridged Fisherman's suplex! Rude runs into some trouble with Blackman's manager Captain Lou Albano as well when Steve sends Rude through the ropes and out to the floor with a thrust kick. Albano immediately pounces on Rude and breaks open his wound from last week before backing off as referee S.D. Jones turns his attention back to them. Steve attempts to keep on top of "The Ravishing One" as he re-enters the ring at 5; but Rick Rude rallies back and tears Steve Blackman apart before putting him away with the Rude Awakening.
After the match he gets on the microphone snidely telling Joel Gertner that while he might have bigger tits, he liked Lady Alexandra better. Gertner looks annoyed by this. "The Ravishing One" then tells us that while he's been away from ECW he certainly hasn't been idle since leaving here after Hardcore Heaven. See Rick Rude knows what everyone in this arena knows. He was robbed of the Eastern States Championship. At king of the Mountain he went in injured, but still defeated 30 men including then Champ "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam. And the next night? Eric Bischoff screwed him. Simple as that. But that's alright. He got over it. He went to ACW, got his head together; fought some of the best talent in this business. Even won the TV Title from that whiskey-breathed redskin Wolf Hawkfield. But coming back here to Eastern Championship? He's setting his sights even higher. He's going to be a World Champion. And to do that he's going to go through that no-talent punk "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino. He's going to restore some honor to the Title held by Randy Savage and Arn Anderson. Whether Corino likes it or not.Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's Main Event which will see "The Rugged One" Ronnie Garvin facing off against ECW Champion "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino. They remind us how Ron defeated another of the Omega Horsemen last week when he pinned Matt Hardy. Garvin of course is no stranger to being in the ring with Champions and can spell real trouble for Corino. If he keeps from cheating that is, Okerlund reminds us. "The Genius" claims to have never seen any of this "cheating" Gene is referring to. Of course. Garvin then appears on the ramp.
Gertner: The following non-Title bout is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Montreal, Quebec, Canada weighing in at 231 lbs. he is "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin!
Garvin comes down and shakes hands with Danny Davis before "Fire" by Scooter hits and the ECW Champion Steve Corino comes with with the ECW Title slung over his shoulder. He has the Hardy Boyz and Jason Venom with him as usual.
Gertner: And now introducing at this time weighing 222 lbs. from Sea Isle City, New Jersey and accompanied to the ring by The Omega Horsemen; he calls himself "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino! Main Event: Steve Corino vs. Ronnie Garvin Davis starts the match and the two competitors size one another up with Ronnie Garvin pointing at the Horsemen telling them to stay put outside the ring. They mock Garvin which leads to Steve Corino seeing an opening and the Champ charges in to attack. Garvin however immediately fires back and drives Steve Corino back into the ropes; which he grabs to gets the ref to pull "The Rugged One" back. Steve plays this sort of cat and mouse game for a while before Ronnie tires of it and drags him into the middle of the ring before taking Corino down to the mat with a snapmare and puts him in a rear chinlock! He torques the Champ's next growling at him to submit. Steve refuses to do so and attempts to fight his way back to his feet, but each time he rallies back a bit; Garvin pulls him back down and re-ups the pressure. Finally in desperation Steve Corino grabs Ronnie Garvin and forcing his way up to his feet lifts "The Rugged One" up onto his shoulders and carries him over with a fireman carry slam. Shaking his neck out he runs the ropes and hits an elbow drop on Garvin whom he works over managing to keep down until he locks in a Camel Clutch! He does his best to make Garvin tap, but Ron grits his teeth and claws his way over to the ropes which he hangs onto while Stev gets a few cheap kicks and stomps in until Davis breaks them up. From there the two men battle back and forth with "Rugged" hitting the Garvin Stomp on the Champ and eventually locks in the figure four! Corino impresses by holding on and fighting his way over to the ropes. He gets in his share of offense as well hitting Garvin with a brainbuster, a diving leg drop off the top, a superkick; and the Sliding C lariat. Despite his best efforts however, "The Rugged One" refuses to stay down. Ronnie Garvin is back in control working Steve Corino over when he goes for the Irish whip, but Corino reverses it! And on the rebound he lays Ronnie Garvin out with the Corino Driver sitout rear mat slam! He makes the cover, getting a one count from Davis before throwing his legs up onto the ropes for leverage! This helps as Garvin attempts to kick out at two; but Corino keeps him down for the three; just squeaking out a win!
Ronnie is pissed but didn't see Steve cheating either, so instead gets up and reluctantly extends his hand to "Mr. Wrestling" as Corino is handed the ECW Championship by the Omega Horsemen. Steve takes it and Ronnie turns to leave when Corino grabs him by the shoulder and spins Garvin about! He then kicks him in the gut before tossing him to big Jason Venom. Garvin goes airborne as he's hit hard with the Venom sheer-drop release powerbomb! "The Rugged One" appears to be out cold, but the Horsemen stomp the hell out of him anyway for good measure before Corino asks fatboy (Gertner) for the mic.
Steve Corino says that Rick Rude can talk a good game when he wants to, but the fact remains he's never, EVER held what Corino is now holding and that's a major Heavyweight Championship. Because when push has come to shove, without fail "The Ravising One" Has choked every single time. And that's just what he's going to do in two weeks at Old School Rulz. "Mr. Wrestling" will make damn sure of it. Because the following week ECW will be in a little town called Atlantic City, New Jersey and Steve Corino is going to walk into his home state the Eastern Heavyweight Champion. No matter what he has to do to Rude to get there.

09-19-95 - Manhattan Center Manhattan, NY"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to the Manhattan Center in Manhattan, New York for another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling! Just one week before ECW's big event Old School Rulz! They briefly discuss last week's show including Arn Anderson & Scott Taylor saving Buck Zumhoff from the Hardy Boyz, Beulah's attack on Luna Vachon, The Blitzkrieg pinning William Regal, Rick Rude's successful return match; and ECW Champion Steve Corino pinning "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin. They then hype tonight's huge card which will include a rematch for the Inter-Promotional Title between Chris Jericho and the Word Wrestling Council's Carlos Colon, a # 1 Contender Tag-Team match to decide who will face The Lawlers at Old School Rulz; and in the Main Event Eastern Heavyweight Champ Steve Corino will take on The Junkyard Dog!
Joel Gertner then makes the intros for the first match of the night.Match: Arn Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy Steve Corino and Jason Venom accompany Jeff Hardy to the ring. Gene says they'd better enjoy the advantage while they can; because at Old School Rulz the other Omega Horsemen will be banned from ringside during Anderson's match with the Hardys. S.D. Jones officiates and Jeff uses his speed along with the outside distraction early on to keep Arn Anderson on his toes, managing to hit the high-angle Senton Bomb after some interference from Jason Venom. "The Enforcer" kicks out at two however and regains control working Hardy over while keeping an eye on Steve Corino. Finally Arn Anderson hits the spinning spinebuster on Jeff before making the cover. He doesn't get it though, when Jason makes the save stomping Arn on the head before hoisting in up into the air and nailing the Venom sheer-drop release powerbomb. Jones calls for the bell and Arn gets the win via DQ. The Omega Horsemen don't care and stand victorious in the ring as ECW goes it it's first...Back from the break "Mean" Gene and Lanny talk about the attack on Arn Anderson by the Omega Horsemen before the break and inform us Anderson' tag-team partner at Old School Rulz Scott Taylor hasn't arrived at the arena yet otherwise the attack may have turned out differently. Lanny agrees, saying that then Scott Taylor would've received a beatdown too.Match: Rick Rude vs. Dustin Rhodes In the next match we see the # 1 contender for the ECW Championship "Ravishing" Rick Rude come out and face off against his old WCW rival Dustin Rhodes. It's a pretty evenly paced match with both men getting in a good amount of offense before Ricked Rude gets the three count from Danny Davis after hitting Rhodes with the Rude Awakening delayed hangman's neckbreaker. Okerlund says that "The Ravishing One" has been looking very impressive since his return to ECW and that "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino might be in some real trouble here next week. After the match we're taken backstage to the office of Eric Bischoff where he's being barked at by "Mad Dog" Luna Vachon. She's irate over the mistreatment she's suffered here at Eastern Championship, losing the Title, Borne getting fired; and now that little bitch Beulah McGillicutty attacking her last week. She wants Beulah's head on a pike, demanding a match tonight. She goes one step further and says that when she wins the Women's Championship back at Old School Rulz she wants Matt Borne reinistated. Immediately. Bischoff tells her she'll get her match tonight. But he'll rehire that imbecile Borne over his dead body. Luna takes that literally and attacks him! She says that's fine with her as she bludgeons Bischoff, knocking him back into the wall and stomping on him repeatedly as he drops behind his desk. Finally security comes in and hauls her off.Match: Matt Hardy vs. Scott Taylor Jeff Hardy and Jason Venom come out to the ring in this match officiated by S.D. Jones. Scott Taylor isn't alone either as Arn Anderson comes out by his side. The match starts off with some good back and forth action, but it doesn't take long before Jeff interferes, sets "The Enforcer" off; and all hell breaks loose on the outside! Arn holds his own against both Jeff and Venom for a while, but Jeff turns the tide when he hits Arn with a steel chair! The two men begin pounding on Anderson which catches the attention of Scott Taylor who quickly takea his opponent Matt Hardy down with a snapmare before running the ropes, charges across the ring; and launches out onto Jason and Jeff with a tope dive! Bodies are everywhere and Taylor begins going at it with Jeff on the outside until he gets clubbed from behind by big Jason Venom who takes his down then takes him down with a clothesline and rolls him back into the ring. By the time he turns around however Anderson has already layed Jeff Hardy out with a DDT and picking up the discarded chair he slaps it across Venom's face sending him to the floor! Inside the ring however Matt Hardy has quickly grabbed the dazed Scott Taylor and hit the Twist of Fate cutter to pick up the win! Lanny and Gene welcome us back from break before reminding us that next week's show will be coming to us live from the sold-out Commack Arena in Long Island, New York. Hiding out in the rafters? Jericho is absolutely right according to Lanny. It has to be Sting."You're the Best Around" by Joe Espisito then hits as "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho emeges from the back Title in hand. He shows it off for the crowd before the music changes and out comes World Wrestling Council's own Carlos Colon. Okerlund and Poffo discuss the two men's last encounter back on August 22nd and how violent it got, even with no winner being decided. Which is why Colon was granted this rematch here tonight! Lanny thinks it's unfair to have "The Loud-Mouth" face this savage again just one week before he's set to face Sting.Inter-Promotional Title Match: Chris Jericho vs. Carlos Colon Chris Jericho begins mocking Carlos Colon and his opponent rushes the ring. Before the match can even start, Jericho grabs Colon by the head as he tries to enter and bashes him several times before throwing him out to the floor. Climbing out onto the apron, Jericho turns and as Colon gets up to his feet he hops up onto the bottom rope and performs a springboard moonsault onto Carlos! This takes the wind out of both men for several seconds but Chris is back up on his feet and pulling Colon up to his begins hammering him with right and lefts on the outside before Carlos fires back with a kick to the gut. He then fires back at Jericho with a barrage of fists and dominates "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" until he rolls him into the ring. Entering himself, Danny Davis finally can start the match as Carlos Colon approaches Jericho looking for a fight. Chris who's down on his knees however wants no part of it and begs Colon off until Carlos leaps onto him taking him down with a Lou Thesz press! He begins raining punches down on "The Loud-Mouth's" head as Chris screams out. He busts him open! Stopped by Davis when he begins biting Jericho's forehead, Carlos gets to his feet and waiting for Jericho to join him; hits the Inter-Promotional Champ with a massive jumping headbutt! While his opponent is dazed Carlos Colon runs the ropes and coming back drops Jericho with a hard right before dropping to one knee and bites him again! Davis stops it and Colon begins giving Chris the boots. He then pulls "The Loud-Mouth" up to his feet and running him toward the ropes hurls him to the outside!
He follows Jericho out where he continues to stomp and hammer on him before tossing him over the guardrail into the audience! Chris is a bloody mess as Carlos batters him through the crowd. He proceeds to throw Chris onto a chair where he begins hammering on the seated man before nailing him with yet another headbutt! This Chris sends Chris still seated in the chair flat on his back. Davis has reached a 6 count however and Carlos Colon heads back to the ring. But Jericho grabs his hand! Carlos struggles to free himself by hammering away on Chris' bloodied face, but Chris refuses to stay down and leaping up to his feet whips Colon hard into the steel guardrail! Christ the proceeds to stumble back toward the ring, falling over the guardrail; and climbs into the ring. Carlos is soon back up and follows his opponent into the ring, but as he rises to his feet he receives a boot to the mush from "The Long Island Loud-Mouth!" Chris proceeds to stomp a mudhole into Colon as he attempts to rise several times. Chris is wobbly, but manages to grab Colon and pull him up to his feet. Colon fights with him, but Chris bites him! He then hits a snap suplex! Not done, Jericho grabs Colon and pulls him up before hitting another! He makes the cover, but only gets a two count.
He procedds to hit his opponent with several knee drops to the head before dragging him over to the bottom rope where he chokes him out on it! Carlos is screaming, but Davis breaks up the illegal hold pushing Jericho away. This gives Carlos all the time he needs to catch his breath and charging in begins brawling Jericho around the ring. Chris is taking the worst of it, but gets his pound of flesh before whipping Carlos around the ring! Chris charges in, but Colon leapfrogs him and hits a sunset flip! 1!... 2!...
Jericho kicks out! "The Loud-Mouth" is in trouble as he staggers to the feet and grabbing him from behind Carlos Colon hits a belly to back suplex! Which he bridges! 1!... 2!...
Jericho just kicks out! 3! Colon is angry now and viciously stomps Jericho a bit before pulling him to his feet and goes for another headbutt! As he moves foward Chris comes alive however and hits a swinging neckbreaker! He catches a breather hanging on the top rope while behind him a Carlos Colon gets back to his feet. Seeing him Chris runs at him and connects with a dropkick! He then runs the ropes and goes for the springboard moonsault! He hits it! 1!.... 2!....
Colon kicks out! He's back up and grabs Jericho in a sleeper hold, but Chris won't stay still and the two men trade punches for a bit before Carlos whips "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" across the ring. But on the rebound Chris surprises Colon with a leaping headbutt! Carlos is busted open as he staggers back into the ropes and moving forward is grabbed by Jericho who nails him with a bridged German Suplex! This has gotta be it! 1!... 2!...
Colon kicks out! Chris Jericho can't believe it. Colon is still down however and the Champ grabs his opponent by the legs and attempts to flip him over. Carlos Colon fights it, but Jericho gets it and locks in the high-angle Boston Crab! Carlos screams in pain and claws his way to the ropes, but Jericho pulls him back just before he reaches them and puts on the pressure! Colon taps! Chris Jericho has won it by Submission!
Grabbing Jericho by the hand, Davis raises it in victory before the Inter-Promotional Champ staggers forward and catches a well earned breather while leaning on the top rope. He wipes sweat from his brow and looks toward the stage when the lights dim and his eyes go wide. On the ramp stands a man in a black trenchcoat is standing there holding a bat. His face is hard to dicern as he raises the bat up in the air and points it at Chris. The man then turns and vanishes into the back. Chris Jericho however has had enough. Tired and bloody he leaves the ring and heads up the ramp in pursuit as Eastern Championship goes to...Back from commercial we're with Sir William Regal who's in a suit. He's walking along a corridor in a castle, passing a suit of armor and some weaponry. He tells us that last week he faced a minor setback in getting pinned by The Blitzkrieg. A man whose manage The Baron Von Raschke likes to bill as a monster. Well the English have had their fair share of dealing with monsters. Dragons, orgres, trolls, Margaret Thatcher, to name a few. The one thing all these ghouls had in common however was that while they may have troubled Britain for a while; when the chips were down the British fought back and vanquished them. And next week at Old School Rulz Sir William Regal is prepared to do just that. Slay "Mangler's Monster" once and for all. Cheerio.
"Mean" Gene and Lanny Poffo are joined at the broadcast booth by the ECW Tag-Team Champions The Lawlers for the next match which is set to determine their opponents for the Titles at Old School Rulz next week. Both Jerry and Brian come off very confident when asked about their chances of retaining the belts, reminding us that they are already the longest reigning Tag-Champs in ECW history and have defeated damned near every team on the roster to get there.# 1 Contender's Tag-Team Match: The Ubermensch vs. Butch Reed & Brickhouse Brown While Aryan von Rascke starts things off with Brickhouse Brown, the team's managers Slick and The Baron Von Raschke wage a war of words on the sidelines nearly coming to blows on several occasions. S.D. Jones starts the match and Brickhouse Brown gets a two count on Aryan early on when he hits him with a swinging neckbreaker. The two men battle back and forth with the younger Von Rascke getting a two count of his own after nailing Brown with a reverse DDT. Brickhouse kicks out however but has trouble making a comeback and gets hit with the Seig Hail superkick! Aryan makes the cover, but only gets a two count before Butch Reed rushes in to make the save and all hell breaks loose! The two teams brawl about the ring until S.D. Jones is able to restore order. Aryan attempts to keep control of the match by dragging Brown back to his corner and tagging in The Blitzkrieg, but with his opponent holding his foot, Brickhouse leaps up and lets Von Raschke have it with a spinning wheel kick! Aryan stumbles back into his own corner as Brickhouse Brown rushes across the ring and makes the hot tag to Butch Reed! "Hacksaw" comes in swinging, but tagging himself in so does the Eastern States Champion "Mangler's Monster!"
The two big men begin trading punches in the middle of the ring and Butch impresses the crowd by taking The Blitzkrieg up off his feet and hits him with a running powerslam that gets him a two count. "The Monster" refuses to stay down however and battling his way back takes Reed down with a clothesline off an Irish whip that gets him a two and delivers a big boot which nets him another. The Blitzkrieg gets himself into some trouble when he strangles Butch against the ropes and a cackling Baron Von Raschke reaches up and smacks "Hacksaw" across the face! Reed is pissed and rallies back against Blitzkrieg who still gives as good as he gets before in an expessive display of power; laying Butch Reed out with The Chokeslam from Berlin! Butch kicks out just before the three and while The Blitzkrieg mostly keeps on top of him, Butch eventually escapes to make the tag to Brickhouse Brown! Back in the ring Brown does his best to play hit and run with the much bigger man; but when "Mangler's Monster" catches hold of him it's a mess that ends when he tags Aryan Von Raschke back in. Aryan immediately heads up top while The Blitzkrieg takes Brickhouse Brown and whips him full force into a missile dropkick that all but decaptitates Brown! Aryan makes the cover and picks up the win. Von Raschke's men are facing The Lawlers at Old School Rulz! They celebrate while Slick and Butch Reed jump in the ring to check on Brickhouse Brown... who isn't moving?
Everyone (except the new #1 contenders) becomes concerned while paramedics come out from the back. They check on Brickhouse who after several tense minutes begins to stir and even sits up. He holds his head, but the paramedics order him to be still and take him out on a stretcher with Slick and Butch Reed in tow.
The Baron Von Raschke then gets the microphone from Joel Gertner. And gives us an "Aw. Poor baby." He tells us that it reminds him of a children's book he used to read to young Aryan. Something about jumping on the bed and calling a Doctor. But whatever. The boy appears to be fine. The Baron Von Raschke however? He and his men, his Ubermensch feel most excellent. For now next week on September 26th at Old School Rulz they have not one, oh no; but two opportunities to show why the men of the greatest Republic in the world; Germany are the most superior men on the planet. First they will destroy those hillibillies The Lawlers to capture the Tag-Team Titles. Then "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg will destroy that limey lout William Regal once and for all!The Baron may have had more to say; but he gets cut short when The Lawlers enter the ring. Jerry Lawler has a microphone too and says that normally him and his son Brian are pretty good sportsmen and would wish them luck. But "The King" knows that his father and well... the whole state of Tennessee would never be able to look him the eye again if he ever sunk so low that he shook hands with a Nazi. He then clubs The Baron over the head with his mic! Von Raschke goes down hard as Jerry and Brian bail from the ring and talk smack with The Ubermensch as they back their way up the ramp. Match: Beulah McGillicutty vs. Luna Vachon The announcers talk about "Mad Dog" Luna Vachon's assault on ECW President Eric Bischoff earlier in the evening as this match gets underway. Both these women have grown to despise one another over the past couple months and do their best to hurt one another. Luna has the edge during most of the match, using a back rake to keep in control getting her a warning from referee Danny Davis. Vachon is in full control however and about to hit Beulah McGillicutty with a suplex when she is speared by the ECW Women's Champion Ivory! Ivory leaps on top of her and punches her head in repeatedly before getting up and along with Beulah begins stomping her out. While this is going on a battered Eric Bischoff has entered the ring microphone in hand. He tells Beulah and Ivory to hold her steady for him. Bischoff then gets in Luna's face and tells her that tonight isn't the first time Luna has put her hands on him; so he went ahead and added a couple little stipulations to her match next week at Old School Rulz. One, it's now a Triple Threat Match! She's going to be facing both Ivory and Beulah. Two, Should Luna Vachon lose next week, she's fired! And three. Well, Eric has always held himself up as a fair man. So to that end, should Luna Vachon overcome the odds and defeat both Ivory AND Beulah at the same time he's going to re-sign Matt Borne. However the odds of that certainly aren't in her favor. But at least then she'll only have herself to blame.COMMERCIAL BREAKOkerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening. They discuss ECW Champion "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino's title reign which began back on July 4th when he defeated ECW Champ "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson in a Handicap Title Match where Corino was teamed with his mentor at the time "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Since then he and his team of Omega Horsemen have done whatever it's taken tokeep the belt on Corino. Next week he's set to face his next challenge to hold onto the belt at Old School Rulz where he will face off against "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude who won a 20-Man Battle Royal to get there following his return to Eastern Championship after a four month sabbatical. Tonight however Corino will be facing Rude's old rival The Junkyard Dog in a non-Title match! "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen hits and JYD appears on the ramp rattling the chain on his neck and barking at the fans!
Gertner: The following non-Title match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Wadessboro, North Carolina weighing in at 280 lbs. he is JYD; The Junkyard Dog!
Referee Danny Davis takes JYD's chain from him as "Fire" by Scooter hits and out comes the ECW Champion Steve Corino in his Flair-esque robe with the ECW Title draped over his shoulder and a microphone in his hand. He has the Omega Horsemen; The Hardy Boyz and Jason Venom with him; but stops on the ramp and turning towards them waves them away. They seem not to want to leave, but eventually give in.
Gertner: And introducing his opponent this evening from Sea Isle City, New Jersey weighing in at 222 lbs.; he is the self-proclaimed "Mr. Wrestling"; the Eastern Heavyweight Champion Steve Corino!Steve Corino vs. Junkyard Dog Davis starts the match and Junkyard Dog is ready to pounce. Steve Corino holds out his hand and tells him to "Wait. Wait. Wait." He then asks for the microphone back and Davis gives it to him. He says that he has something to say. As we can see he came to the ring alone tonight. I mean why shouldn't he. Because this match tonight it just proves what The Omega Horsemen have been telling us rubes all along. I mean here he is. Steve Corino. The ECW Champion. Young. Virile. And who do they have him fighting? A fossil. An overweight relic from a dying era. So to all you doubters out there. Pay real close attention and watch just how hard it is for the future of wrestling to pin someone who should've been put out to pasture ten freaking years ago. Tonight "Mr. Wrestling" is gonna put The Dog down! He then hands the mic back to Davis. And a pissed Junkyard Dog looks anxious to clash with the Champ. When Rick Rude's strip theme hits? Corino turns to the ramp as Rick Rude swaggers out in his robe. Steve Corino looks annoyed and asks for the mic again; but "The Ravishing One" tells him there won't be any need for that. Rude isn't going to be out here too long. He only came out here to do one thing. And that's to wish Steve luck. Because he's gonna need alot of it... But now that he's out here, he'd like to offer the kid another piece of advice. Don't turn your back on a rabid Dog. Rick smirks and backs his way into the back.
Meanwhile Steve Corino turns back to Junkyard Dog and walks right into a massive headbutt! As the Champ stagges about dazed, JYD grabs him by the arm and whips him across the ring, hoisting Corino up into the air and hits the Thump! front powerslam! He makes the cover! 1!...
2!...
3! Junkyard Dog has pinned the Champ!

09/22/95 - New York"Here I Am Rocking Like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions plays as "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff appears on the set of a brightly colored talk show set with a Rock 'N Roll/Wrestling theme. He is limping a little but boogies on out and high fives several of the cheering kids and their parents before getting on the stage before them. He then introduces himself as AWA Legend and former ECW Lightweight Champion; and wrestling's one and only true "Rock 'N Roller" Buck Zumhoff!'He then welcomes everyone to another episode of ECW Slammin' Saturdays Season 3! He reminds us that on last week's show we had two tournament matches to determine the # 1 Contender for Jeff Hardy's Light Heavyweight Championship. And in today's feature match, the two winner's of those matches "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihihiro Tajiri and "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert will face off in the Tournament Final! The winner of that match will go on to face Jeff Hardy for the Title in just four days time at Eastern Championship's big event Old Scool Rulz!
He then heads over to the broadcast booth where he introduces his co-host "Captain" Lou Albano! Albano says it'll be nice to see two competitors with some actual talent vying for the ECW Lightweight Title for a change today now that Buck is injured. Zumhoff tells him to eat it while Joel Gertner makes with the intros for the first match of the night.Match: B. Brian Blair vs. Ace Darling Danny Davis officiates this match which has some nice, fast-paced back and forther action with Ace Darling getting a two count with the Ace in the Hole DDT before B. Brian Blair takes him out with the sleeper hold.After the break we are told by Arn Anderson that the 4 Horsemen are coming. You can bet on that.Match: Tommy Dreamer vs. EZ Money EZ money keeps Tommy Dreamer on his toes early on as the two men battle back and forth. But when EZ misses a moonsault off the top, Tommy Dreamer kicks him in the gut and hits a DDT to pick up the win from Danny Davis.We're taken to a clip of The Bayou Boys at the airport with a sign that reads... Hillbilly Jim?! It's upside down and looks to have been written by a Kindergartner. We soon here screaming as and several passengers rush out from the arrival terminal; from which Hillbilly Jim soon appears with Cousin Luke and Cousin Junior in tow. Jim is holding his nose and waving the air telling Cousin Junior that he should've held that one in. CJ just chuckles. They're all pumped for their visit to the big city! We then see them visiting and getting in trouble throughout New York including the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty (whose skirt Cousin Jamie looks up); and finally them having dinner at The Rainbow Room eating chicken and then throwing the bones on the floor before treating the stunned women on the dance floor to a good old-fashioned hoedown!ECW Light Heavyweight # 1 Contender's Match: Doug Gilbert vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri Before Danny Davis starts the match Captain Lou and Buck inform us that Hill Billy Jim, and Cousins Luke & Junior are here for little Dougie's big day. The camera shows them seated at ringside wearing beer hats and eating ribs. Hilly Billy Jim gives us the thumbs up. They cheer Doug Gilbert on as he comes down to the ring with Cousin Jamie and boo Yoshihiro Tajiri as he heads down to the ring with "The Diabolical One" Mr. Fuji. "The Japanese Buzzsaw" dominates early on hitting the handspring elbow, a bridhed Dragon Suplex; and locking in the Octopus Stretch early on. Doug refuses to go down however and counters an Irish whip with a hip toss he comes back fighting, nailing Tajiri with a facebuster. In control for a while he seats Yoshihiro on the top turnbuckle and then plants him with a Tornado DDT off the top getting a two count. Fuji constantly inteferes causing Cousin Jamie to chase him about the ring while the Gilbert and Tajiri battle back and forth until "The Redneck Rebel" locks in the Clawhold! Tajiri screams in pain and Fuji leaps up onto the apron! He argues with Danny Davis and Yoshihiro taps!
The ref doesn't see it however and Gilbert goes to get Davis' attention when Tajiri spins him about and hits him with a face full of Asian Mist! Quickly hoisting Doug over his shoulders, Yoshihiro Tajiri flattens him with a back drop before hooking his opponent's leg. Fuji hops down from the apron, but Cousin Jamie soon takes his place distracting Davis! While the ref starts arguing with Jamie, Hillbilly Jim and the Cousins hop the guardrail and enter the ring! Junior and Luke pull Tajiri off of Doug and throw him back into the ropes where Hilly Billy Jim connects with the big boot! Yoshihiro Tajiri hits the floor as a dazed Doug Gilbert is thrown on top of him by the Cousins who follow Jim out of the ring. Hopping down himself Cousin Jamie points to Doug, telling him to make the count when Mr. Fuji jumps right back up on the apron! But Cousin Jamie grabs him and tosses him down to the floor! Inside the ring an annoyed Danny Davis makes the count. 1!... 2!... 3! Doug Gilbert has won it! He's going to Old School Rulz!
Buck Zumhoff then says that he knows these kids like Wrestling; but do they love Rock'N Roll as much as "The Rock 'N Roller" himself? He then sends us to a music video he's sure the new # 1 contender for the ECW Lightweight Title and his family are sure to like!Hillbilly Jim titantronFinally Buck Zumhoff says that time is almost up for this week's show and that it's now time for Slammin' Saturdays Main Event feature; the Wrestling Rewind. He says that this week's Rewind is from back on September 14th, 1994 when just one week before ECW's big event Hotter Than Hell "Ravishing" Rick Rude faced off against his bitter rival "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango!09/14/94 Match: Papa Shango vs. Rick Rude Rick Rude taunts Papa Shango a bit by doing his dance showing off his new tights which have Shango and Brickhouse Brown being burnt at the stake on them; getting the crowd to cheer. Referee S.D. Jones tells him to cut it out and the two men lock up as the match begins. Shango pushes Rude back almost immediately and begins hammering on him with hard rights before dropping Rick with a clothesline. "The Soul Stealer" goes for the cover, but Rude kicks out before the two and an enraged Shango begins choking him out with his forearm. Jones puts a stop to it and separates them. Rick gets back up to one knee and rubs his throat as the fight resumes. Papa Shango charges at Rick and soon finds himself out of the ring as Rude pulls down the top rope ducking out of the way as Shango's own momentum dumps him out to the floor. Rick stands up and looks over the ropes as the witch doctor gets to his feet, before launching himself up over the top rope and landing on Shango. Both men crash to the floor as Rude connects. Rick is up first however and begins putting the boots to Papa Shango.
Lifting him up he mockingly smacks Shango in the face before ramming him face first into the guardrail. Rick struts about the ring a bit and grabs Shango's top hat which he puts on. He imitates Papa Shango's craziness on the outside before stomping on Shango a bit. He's still wearing the hat when he picks Papa Shango up and lifts him for the DDT. He's wasted too much time however and Shango grabbing Rude's legs counters it; pulling them out from under him and dropping him onto his back on the floor. He locks in a Boston Crab on the outside. Rude screams in pain and Shango is obviously loving it when Brickhouse Brown comes over and points to the ring. S.D. Jones has counted to 8. Shango drops Rude fast and rolls back inside the ring. Meanwhile on the outside Rick is up on his knees and has reached up to grab the ring apron when Brickhouse runs up and kicks Rude in the ribs! He falls back into the guardrail and Mean Gene is calling for a DQ at ringside. But S.D. was monetarily distracted by Shango and didn't see it. Neither did Lanny Poffo apparently. As Rude rushes forward toward the ring; S.D. Jones ends the Match. Papa Shango has won by Count Out! Rick Rude is livid and is yelling and both Shango and Jones from the outside when he is suddenly hit from behind with a steel chair! Brickhouse Brown is laughing menacingly chair in hand as Papa Shango climbs out of the ring. The two men begin stomping on "The Ravishing One" as the...

09-26-95 - Commack Arena Commack, NYOld School Rulz"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to the Commack Arena on Long Island, New York for a another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling! A huge show, in fact tonight; as ECW delivers it's next Big Event; Old School Rulz! They then rundown tonight's card which will see every Championship here at Eastern Championship put on the line! The ECW Light Heavyweight Champ Jeff Hardy is set to take on "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert, the Women's Champion Ivory will battle both "Mad Dog" Luna Vachon and Beulah McGillicutty in a Triple Threat Match; and the longest reigning ECW Tag-Team Champs The Lawlers will fight it out with The Baron Von Raschke's Ubermensch! And if that wasn't enough; the team of "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Scott Taylor will be looking for some payback against The Omega Horsemen as they take on the Hardy Boyz in Tag-Team action!
And of course the main Titles will also be on the line here tonight! The Inter-Promotional Champion Chris Jericho is set to defend his belt against WCW's own Sting! The Eastern States Champion "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg will square off against the undefeated Sir William Regal; and in a monstrous Main Event, the Eastern Heavyweight Championship will be on the line as ECW Champion "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino faces the recently returned "Ravishing" Rick Rude!
Joe Gertner then makes the intros for the first match of the night.ECW Light Heavyweight Title Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Doug Gilbert The ECW Lightweight Champ Jeff Hardy has brought his brother Matt down to the ring with him and evening things up "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert brings fellow Bayou Boy Cousin Jamie. Referee S.D. Jones starts the match while the announcers remind us that Gilbert won a Tournament Final on ECW Slammin' Saturdays! to get this shot at the belt here tonight. The two men lock up and grapple around the ring a bit, with Doug getting a two count with a waistlock backslide. From there the match picks up with some fast paced back and forth including multiple dropkicks by both me. Jeff hits the Whisper in the Wind and later gets a two count following a sitout jawbreaker. Doug meanwhile gets another two following a vertical suplex and when that fails traps Hardy in the Clawhold! Jeff is screaming in pain and looks about ready to submit when Matt Hardy reaches in and pulls Doug's legs out from under him!
This gives Jeff the time he needs to recover and running the ropes hits a somersault legdrop on the downed "Redneck Rebel." Jeff works him over for a bit, but Doug begins to rally back and the two men brawl about the ring with Gilbert getting a one count off a running bulldog. Gilbert rallies back and begins handing Hardy a beating before pulling him in and hitting a swinging neckbreaker! He makes the cover! But Matt Hardy is up on top of the apron distracting Jones! Pissed Doug Gilbert gets up and charges Matt, knocking him to the ground with a running clothesline! As he turns however he walks into a kick to the gut from Jeff who the plants him with a DDT! Gilbert is down as Jeff Hardy goes up top looking for the high-angle swan dive senton bomb! But up top he stumbles, because Cousin Jamie has pushed him; and falls crotching himself! He the flops over and lands back inside the ring where a recovered Doug Gilbert pulls him up and whips him across the ring before hitting the Hot Shot flapjack dropped into a hangman! Jeff Hardy hits the ground hard as Doug Gilber makes the cover! 1!... 2!... 3!
We have a new ECW Light Heavyweight Champion! After the match both Hardy Boyz look pissed as The Bayou Boys have a victory hoe down in the ring.After the match "White Train" by Tito & Tarantula hits as ECW President Eric Bschoff appears on the ramp looking particularly happy with himself. He swaggers his way down to the ring where he gets the microphone off of Joel Gertner. He then thanks the fans here in attendance at the Commack Arena as well as those watching at home for once again tuning in to the most exciting wrestling show on television, Eastern Championship Wrestling! He tells us that rating don't lie (though those reading them might ;-)) and that ECW has been the consistent ratings winner in the sport for some time now and he owes that all to the hardcore ECW fans and of course the talent that give it their all out here every night! He then reminds us once again that when Eric Bischoff is out here in the ring; it can only mean one thing. Business is at hand. And to that end he'd like to show off the new ECW Old School Rulz t-shirt as well as several other new styles. He says that they're on-sale at the stands now including ECW's entire back catalogue of shirts, toys; and VHS tapes. And of course those folks at home shouldn't feel excluded; because they can order all the amazing ECW merchandise from the comfort of their living room by calling 1-800-BUYECW!
He then tells us he has another surprise in store for us tonight; because it certainly came as a shock to him when he read the ticket receipt; but tonight we have a very special guest in the arena. The one, the only; The immortal Hulk Hogan!Best Hulk Hogan Tribute Real AmericanHogan's music hits as Bischoff invites him up to the ring along with his wife Linda and the kids. Once he's inside the ring Gertner gets Hogan and microphone and Eric welcomes him and his family to the Commack Arena. He then asks Hulk if he's here to spy on the competition. Hulk Hogan assures him that isn't the case brother. If he wanted to do that he could just turn on the tv. There's only one reason the Hulkster is here today man and that's cause while he's spent his entire life working for the WWF and dabbled in WCW brother; there's only one promotion that's on the cutting edge of this industry brother. Only one company that the Hulkster tunes in to watch each and ever week. And that companying doesn't have that cheating, no good Rattlesnake on it. Oh no brother. It's ECW. Eric seems to think Hogan is putting him on, but Hul tells him he'd better believe it brother. Right here at Eastern Championship is where it's at. Randy Savage, Rick Rude, Arn Anderson, Jerry Lawler; the list goes on man. This is where the real legends come if they're looking for a fight brother. This is where you face the stiffest competition in the world today. Bischoff then asks Hogan's kids who their favorite wrestlers are. Brooke says it's her dad; but Nick points to his shoulders and say "R!... V!... D!" Hogan laughs but looks a little annoyed by that one. The ECW President then asks Hulk Hogan if he'd consider joining the roster here and stepping into the ring for the fans here tonight!
Hulk Hogan shakes his head and says he's apologizes to the millions of Hulkamaniacs out there tonight. You see since his match against that snake Steve Austin brother, it gave the Hulkster an opportunity to look at his priorities brother. And he thanks God for that chance. Because he looked long and hard at himself and where he wanted to be in life. Did some soul searching. And what Hogan saw was that this business is getting out of hand. It isn't about the sport no more brother. Getting attacked in your home? Having to watch your back against a locker room full of guys armed with barbed wire bats? It just isn't the business he loves anymore brother. And while he will always love and appreciate what all the millions of Hulkamaniacs out there have done for him and his family; it's that family he has to watch out for. Which is why he's decided to hang up the boots man. He's done everything there is to do in this business brother. There're no more mountains to climb.
Eric seems disappointed by this, but thanks Hogan for his time. He then revels in the fact Hulk Hogan is a huge fan of the company before telling us it's time to get back to the reason everyone's here tonight; and that's to see some good old fashioned wrestling!Back from the break Lanny and Gene hype the next match of the night which will see the ECW Women's Champion Ivory face off in a Triple Threat Match against "Mad Dog" Luna Vachon and Beulah McGillicutty. They talk about how the deck is really stacked against Luna here tonight. Not only does she have to face two very capable competitors in the ring tonight; but in a stipulation ordered by ECW President Eric Bischoff; if Luna loses here tonight she's fired! Claiming to be fair though, if Luna should win, in addition to claiming the Women's Championship for a second time; Luna's boyfriend "Maniac" Matt Borne will also be rehired by ECW!Women's Championship Triple Threat Match: Ivory vs. Luna Vachon vs. Beulah McGillicutty Danny Davis starts up the match and the three women size one another up a bit before Luna Vachon rushes in and takes the both down with a double clothesline! Both the Women's Champ Ivory and Beulah McGillicutty go down hard, but are quick to recover. Luna comes in swinging at Ivory, but the Women's Champ takes her down with a drop toe hold which Beulah follows up with an elbow drop to the back! The two women seem to have formed an alliance as they work over "Mad Dog" together. Trouble comes however when the duo hit Vachon with a double DDT! McGillicutty is quick to make the cover when Ivory pulls her off. The two exchange some heated words before Beulah holds off and slaps the Champ! Ivory attacks her hammering her into the ropes and goes for the Irish whip; taking McGillicutty down with a running knee to the gut on the rebound. She then sets her up for the Moretti Driver and connects! Ivory makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
Luna stomps her in the head breaking the count! Pulling the Women's Champ up to her feet Luna Vachon batters Ivory across the ring and into the corner where she climbs up onto the bottom rope and begins raining down the punches! 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9! And then instead of throwing the 10th; she grabs Ivory's head and bites her face! Davis is quick to break it up and the Champ crashes to the floor. Vachon snarls at the ref before going up top and leaping off! The Luna Eclipse diving splash connects! She makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
Beulah charges across the ring and breaks it up with a baseball slide! Luna is pissed and leaps on McGillicutty with the Lou Thesz press! She begins hammering away on Beulah and Davis attempts to pull her off, but she smacks him away and hits Beulah hard with a headbutt breaking her open! She then hoists the dazed and bloodied McGillicutty up onto her shoulder for a body slam; but Beulah slides out and landing behind Vachon rolls her up with a schoolboy! 1!... 2!...
Luna kicks free! Both women leap back up and start swinging. This time Beulah doesn't go down so easy and there's some hairpulling on both sides as they hammer away at one another. Ivory is soon back in the mix and the trio brawl about the ring until Ivory catches "Mad Dog" off guard with the Poison Ivory sitout facebuster! She then signals to Beulah to go up top for the Beulahsault. She does, but has a surprise for the Women's Champ when she turns around on the top turnbuckle and going airborne hits Ivory with a missile dropkick! With the Champ down, Beulah grabs her and locks in the Regal Stretch arm trap cross-legged STF! Ivory screams in pain and attempts to crawl toward the ropes. McGillicutty tugs harder and it's obvious the Champ isn't going to make it. Ivory is going to tap!
Luna Vachon however is back up on her feet and has other plans. She leaps up and drives her knees into McGillicutty's back breaking the hold. Pulling Beulah up to her feet Luna holds her in a headlock for a bit aggravating the open wound on Beulah's head before going for the Irish whip! But McGillicutty reverses sending "The Mad Dog" flying into the corner instead! She hits it hard and Beulah runs in for a clothesline; but Vachon gets her foot up and catches Beulah flush in the mush! (apologies to Kimmel) McGillicutty reels about as Luna Vachon hops up on the second rope and connects with the springboard bulldog! She makes the cover! 1!... 2!... 3! Luna Vachon has won it! She's the new ECW Women's Champion! Back from the break the cameras are on Hulk Hogan and his family who're with Rob Van Dam who's signing an autograph for little Nick. Him and Hogan then shake hands before we cut back to the announcers. Okerlund is thrilled to see his old friend The Hulkster again and asks Lanny what he thinks about Hulk turning down Bischoff's offer to come onboard here at ECW. "The Genius" is relieved. He says it's bad enough having to deal with Macho Madness everyday. He thinks he'll have to defect to the NWA if Hulkamania starts running wild in Eastern Championship. Gene says that's even more incentive to sign "The Hulkster"!
They then hype tonight's match, telling us how we all know how much trouble The Omega Horsemen have caused here in ECW since arriving on the scene. None moreso than "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson who lost the ECW Championship in a most controversial way back on July 4th when Steve Corino pinned him during a Handicap Title Match where he was teamed with his then mentor "The Macho Man" Randy Savage! Since then the Omega Horsemen have been a thorn in Anderson's side and vice versa. The Omega Horsemen have always had strength in numbers to their advantage. That won't be the case tonight however as Arn Anderson is set to team with his protegee Scott Taylor against Omega members The Hardy Boyz! And just to make sure things stay fair; the other Horsemen Jason Venom and ECW Champion Steve Corino are banned from ringside! Arn however doesn't trust that, which according to "The Genius" may just be the first intelligent thought Anderson's ever had. AA claims to have a special "insurance" policy cooked up just in case. Lanny says if it's retirement; then he'll be two for two. Tag-Team match: Arn Anderson & Scott Taylor vs. The Hardy Boyz Arn Anderson lets Scott Taylor have first crack at the Hardy Boyz as he squares off against Matt Hardy. The two men exchange several holds before Matt takes Taylor down to the mat with a snapmare and locks in a sleeper hold! Scott isn't going down without a fight however and fights him off. Matt then showboats a bit and slowly runs into the ropes. He doesn't see Taylor kip-up however and charging back walks right into a superkick! Scott goes for the pin! 1!... But Jeff Hardy charges in to make the save! 2!... And Arn intercepts Jeff!
But Matt kicks out just before the three! Scott is undaunted however and keeps on top of Matt using several high flying moves including a hurrancanrana and a crossbody press before laying him out with a sitout powerbomb which only nets him a 2! When he goes to lift his opponent back up to his feet however, Matt isn't above a well-placed thumb to the eye and as Scott reels away her scoops him up for a suplex! Keeping on his opponent, Matt cockily smacks Taylor around a bit as he locks in first a chickenwing hold before trainsitioning to a headlock to annoy "The Enforcer." It works as Arn visibly reddens while cheering Scott on. Finally Matt tags in his brother Jeff Hardy and the duo each grab one of Scott's arms before pulling him up to his feet and whip him into the ropes. On the rebound they send him flying with a back drop! Taylor bounces back up to his feet and despite referee S.D. Jones' warnings; they whip him again. But this time Scott catches them by surprise with a diving double clothesline! Taking them down Scott celebrates a bit before making the tag to the very hungry Arn Anderson!
Jeff is up first but is immediately taken down with a hard right from "The Enfrocer." When Matt gets to his feet he is treated to the same. Then Jeff. The Matt. Then Jeff again! Arn is on fire as he grabs Matt and flattens him with a spinebuster! He then attempts to do the same to Jeff; but Hardy counters by hopping up and dropping the former Champ with a headscissors takedown! As Arn gets back up he's swung across the ring and knocked back to the mat with a dropkick! "The Genius" puts over Jeff as a smart competitor keeping Anderson off his feet. He follows the dropkick up with a leg drop before making the cover! 1!... 2!...
Arn powers out! As Anderson gets up to one knee Jeff begins hammering on him; but "The Enforcer" pushes his opponent away and then comes in with hard lefts and rights! Jeff looks to be in trouble as he feebly counters with several punches of his own as he's driven back to the ropes where Arn whips him across the ring! On the rebound Jeff counters with a sitout jawbreaker! But Arn counters it with one of his own! Jeff hits the mat hard as Anderson makes the cover! 1!... 2!
Matt Hardy breaks it up with a guillotine legdrop on AA! Scott Taylor isn't sitting this one out however and as Matt gets to his feet he leaps off the top and connects with the diving high-impact chop drop! Meanwhile Jeff attempts to capitalize with a cover on Anderson! This could be it! 1!... 2!
Arn kicks out! Jeff attempts to run the ropes, but "The Enforcer" is right on top of him and takes him down with a side Russian legsweep! He then grabs Jeff by the legs and locks in the figure four leglock! Hardy screams in pain while Jones restores order in the ring. Jeff is struggling in the figure four but is in agony. He taps! Jeff has tapped out! But the match hasn't stopped? Anderson has let go and turning about see Jason Venom arguing with the ref! He's grabbed S.D. Jones' leg distracting him! Arn looks pissed but turns back to Jeff; just in time to walk into a Twist of Fate cutter courtesy of Matt Hardy! Jeff Hardy meanwhile has climbed up top and goes airborne! Meanwhile on the outside one of the fans has come over the railing and has a steel chair in his hand! It's...Tully Blanchard?! It's Tully Blanchard! He charges the monstrous Jason Venom and slams him across the head with the chair busting him open! Venom doesn't go down however and as Tully attempts to hit him again Venom punches the chair into Blanchard's face! Tully stumbles back dropping the chair and the two men begin brawling around ringside! Lanny says that Tully must be that "insurance policy" Arn was talking about and "Mean" Gene tells Poffo he really is a "Genius" after all. Back in the ring however Anderson is in trouble as Jeff Hardy makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
Arn kicks out just before the three! "The Enforcer" attempts to get to his feet, but Jeff keeps on top of him. Scott Taylor finishes brawling with Matt and returns to his corner. He cheers Double A on along with the crowd and as Jeff Hardy drives Arn Anderson into the ropes, he finally gets an opening and catches Jeff with an elbow to the face! He then grabs Jeff by the head and swinging him about hits him with a DDT! And he makes the tag to Taylor! Scott Taylor quickly makes the cover on Jeff hooking the leg. 1!... 2!... Jeff kicks out! He then wisely slides out of the ring!
Taylor argues with Jeff to get back inside the ring; but Jeff walks around and re-enters by his corner where he quickly tags in to his brother Matt Hardy! The two men charge at one another and begin brawling while on the outside Arn Anderson has come to the aide of Tully Blanchard who just got hit with the Venom sheer-drop release powerbomb on the concrete! With Arn battling Jason, Tully has a chance to get back to his feet and together they run Venom off. Scott Taylor meanwhile is in trouble after getting hit by a running forearm smash and tosses Taylor over the top rope! He mocks Arn who's back in his corner and doesn't see that Taylor hung onto the top rope and pulling himself up skins the cat! When Arn points behind him, Matt turns to look and catches a kick to the gut followed by a DDT from Taylor who goes for the pin! 1!... Jeff moves to makes the save! 2!.... Someone grabs his leg! 3! Jeff turns to see it was Tully Blanchard! Tully raises his hand and walks away smiling as he joins Arn Anderson and Scott Taylor inside the ring as the get their arms raised in victory!"Mean" Gene and Lanny welcome us back and tell us that the early numbers are in and the ratings are through the roof! They thanks us, the fans for making ECW's latest big event Old School Rulz such a huge success! They then remind us that next week's show will be coming to us live from Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey and that maybe this time around Poffo won't get arrested for card counting. "The Genius" changes the subject and tells us that while tickets for the show are already sold out; those folks still at home can tune in right here on ECW's home station of TNN The Nashville Network!
They then begin hyping the next match, talking about the Inter-Promotional Title and it's Champion "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho. The briefly recap his victories to date including Pete Rose, Lawrence Taylor, Don Muraco, Terry Taylor, Cien Caras, Wolf Hawkfield, Mitsuhiro Matsunaga; and most recently World Wrestling Council's Carlos Colon. They then discuss Jericho's next match; which will be his greatest challenge to date as he takes on WCW's Sting! They then recap the events leading to this match starting with several interruptions of Jericho's matches and promos via the big screen. Things escalated on August 22nd however when the lights went out during his first match with Carlos Colon. When they turned back on Colo was lying on the ground bloodied with a bat lying on the ground. Chris claimed to be innocent and just as confused as to what happened as the rest of us. No one believed him however until two weeks later when "The Loud-Mouth" returned and when he was just about to reveal who was behind his recent problems; a mysterious man appeared in the rafters and attacked him with the same bat! Returning the following week Chris Jericho called out his attacker whom he revealed to be WCW's Sting; challenging him to a match right here tonight September 26th at Old School Rulz! While Sting has not commented on whether or not he accepted the challenge; a man who looked very much like him appeared on the ramp during last week's show after Chris Jericho defeated Carlos Colon in their rematch; pointing his baseball bat threateningly at the Inter-Promotional Champion.
Joel Gertner then introduces the Inter-Promotional Champion Chris Jericho! The Inter-Promotional Champ explodes from the back and poses with his Title for the crowd. He tosses the Championship up over his shoulder and orders referee Danny Davis to fetch him a microphone. He does and Chris Jericho says that as we all witnessed last week; Sting once again showed his ugly painted visage on Chris Jericho's show. And what did he do? Threatens him. With a bat! And then runs away. That's right Sting turned tail and ran. Because after defeating Carlos Colon in one of the most brutal matches of his career. Colon's, not Jericho's. "The Loud-Mouth" undauntedly charged up that ramp and into the back looking for Sting! And what happened you're asking yourselves? Well Jericho is going to show you! He points to the big screen....
But nothing is on it? That's right! Nothing! Jericho barks on about how he headed into the back and looked high. He looked low. Was he too slow? Hell no! You all saw the tapes. Chris was a damned cheetahb getting back there! But no Sting. None. Zilch. He ran off like the coward he is! Isn't the right Sting? But tonight Jericho is finally going to get his retribution against WCW's golden boy. So come on Sting! Get out here you assclown!
The lights dim and the strobes hit. Sting's music plays as Chris Jericho paces about the ring. A minute passes. Then two. Then three. Jericho is looking more and more annoyed Five minutes pass when Chris Jericho starts screeching for them to cut the damned music! He wants to know where the hell Sting is! He wants him in this ring right now! What is he a chicken? A coward?! Has Sting tuned yellow?!! He goes on and on, smacking trhe turnbuckle pads and stomping his feet. In a fit of rage his hurls the microphone out into the audience! But still...
Sting doesn't show. Chris is pissed and hops out of the ring. He paces around it a bit, throwing equipment. He steals Gertner's microphone and the steel chair chair he's sitting on and chases him off with it. He hurls the chair up into the ring all the while screaming obscenities about Sting! Sting this! Sting that! Sting! Sting! Sting! Sting! Sting! Officials come down to the ring to reason with him, but Chris continues to go berserk! Finally he sets his sights on Hulk Hogan?!He asks the Huckster if he knows where Sting is, screaming at him! Hogan shakes his head. He then asks Lina, and both the kids in turn! He is red faced and sweating. He tells Hogan he's a liar! He tells him he's covering for his buddy the Stinger! And then he holds off and slaps Hogan! Hulk goes from looking mildly annoyed to enraged! Linda holds him back trying to calm her husband down. By this time several members of the locker room are out at ringside with ECW President Eric Bischoff who has them restrain Jericho. The Inter-Promotional Champion kicks and screams as he's dragged to the back by Rob Van Dam, Erin O'Grady; and several others while Eric Bischoff talks to Hogan, apologizing for Chris' little outburst as ECW goes to...When ECW returns Okerlund apologizes for the antics of Chris Jericho before they discuss the next match on the card. They first talk about the Tag-Team Champions The Lawlers who've held the Titles since January 25th and how they've overcome the odds defeating challenge after challenge to become the longest reigning Tag Champs in ECW history with a record eight months. They then talk about the Baron Von Raschke's Ubermensch who have had a heated rivalry going with Slick's team of Brickhouse Brown and "Hacksaw" Butch Reed over the past several months; a team they beat to become the number one contenders here tonight!
Joe Gertner is back to handle the intros.Tag-Team Title Match: The Lawlers vs. The Ubermensch Jerry Lawler starts things out with Aryan von Raschke as Danny Davis starts the match. "The King" goes right after Aryan with furious rights and lefts, working the young Von Raschke over with a suplex and an atomic drop before making the first cover, coming away with a close two. He then tags in his son Brian Lawler and together they pull Aryan to his feet, whip him into a flapjack and connect with a double elbow drop. Brian makes the cover! 1!... 2!
Aryan kicks out! Brian keeps on his opponent, whipping him into the ropes and connects with a hiptoss before sending him into the ropes with a dropkick! Aryan is hung up on the ropes as Brian charges in, but Von Raschke ducks low and sends Brian airborne with a back drop! Brian however nimbly lands on the apron and the two men trade punches over the top rope until Aryan wins out and uses a vertical suplex to drop the younger Lawler back into the ring. Aryan quickly heads up top and leaping off hits a diving boot stomp to the head! Pulling Brian up to his feet he lays his opponent out with the lifting DDT and making the cover hooks the leg! 1!... 2!..
Flying Fist Drop courtesy of Jerry Lawler who makes the save! Aryan rolls about on the floor clutching the back of his head and kicking his feet as The Blitzkrieg storms the ring and clothesline Jerry out of it! S.D. Jones orders "Mangler's Monster" out. While the ref is distracted The Baron Von Raschke runs over and reaching into the ring grabs Brian in a Brain Claw! Lawler screams in pain while Aryan gets back up to his feet and stomps his opponent out a bit. The older Von Raschke has already vanished back to his corner by the time Jones returns to see Aryan grabs Brian by the legs and falling back, send him neck first into the bottom rope! Brian clutches at his throat as Aryan pulls him back up and whips him across the ring! But he only gets nailed with a fleaping elbow smash from Brian for his trouble! Aryan hits the ground and pops back up only to get taken to the mat by a hard right from Lawler who runs the ropes and pops up onto the second rope hitting a springboard guilllotine legdrop! He makes the cover! 1!... 2!.. Von Raschke kicks out again! Grabbing him by the leg Brian drags Aryan into his corner where he tags in his father Jerry Lawler! At the same instant however Aryan hops up and takes Brian down with a corkscrew kick! He then runs across the ring and makes the hot tag to The Blitzkrieg! "The King" isn't backing down from a fight and charges right at "Mangler's Monster!" The two men collide in the center of the ring and go down hard! The crowd comes alive with chants for Jerry as the two winded men catch a breather. Lawler staggers up first and delivers a series of stomps and elbow drops to The Blitzkrieg before lifting him to a seated position, locking him in a rear headlock; and begins pounding him in the head! The Blitzkrieg begins stomping his foot and he rallies back however dragging Jerry up off his feet as he gets to his and Jerry holds on with a sleeper for dear life. Blitzkrieg grabs him and throws him down to the mat with a snapmare before stomping "The King" and running the ropes hits a leg drop! He makes the cover! 1!... 2!
Lawler kicks out! The Blitzkrieg then pulls Jerry up to his feet and pounds the stuffing out of him; beating "The King" about the ring before hitting the Chokeslam from Berlin! This has gotta be it! 1!... 2!...
Jerry kicks out! Jerry gets to one knee before "The Monster" is back on top of him with clubbing blows. Lawler however pushes the big man away and running the ropes hits him with a shoulder tackle! The Blitzkrieg only stumbles, but Jerry runs the ropes again and connects with a second! When this fails he begins punching Blitzkrieg and the two men begin trading punches in the middle of the ring until The Blitzkrieg kicks Jerry in the gut and goes for a powerbomb! Lawler however catches his opponent's head and stays seated on the big man's shoulders and he begins raining down the punches on his head, toppling The Blitzkrieg! "Mangler's Monster" hits the ground and Jerry is quick to get up and put the boots to the big man as he staggers into the corner where Jerry limbs the second rope and drops the strap! He begins pounding on The Blitzkrieg to The Baron Von Raschke's stunned horror! 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9! 10! Lawler then lets "The Monster" hit the floor and goes up top and leaping off goes for the Flying Fist Drop!
It doesn't connect! The Blitzkrieg treats him to some knees as he gets them up! Rising to his feet The Blitzkrieg stomps on Jerry Lawler for a bit before pulling him up to his feet and smashing him in the face several times, busting him open before he hoists him into the air and plants him with the kneeling reverse piledriver! He makes the cover as Brian Lawler runs in and begins stomping him! 1!... 2!... 3!
Brian eats a Sieg Hail! superkick from Aryan Von Raschke as The Ubermensch get their hands raised in victory! They're the new ECW Tag-Team ChampionLanny and Gene talk about the Eastern States Champion, the monster known as The Blitzkrieg and how he won the Title all the way back on February 15 when he defeated "Ravishing" Rick Rude who had only won the championship the previous week at King of the Mountain '95. Since then he has taken on all challengers who (according to Poffo) have been foolish enough to step in the ring with him including "Hacksaw" Butch Reed, Rob Van Dam and some say the man he stole the belt from (in whispers) Rick Rude himself. One man who's been a thorn in the side of "Mangler's Monster" of late however has been Sir William Regal. They talk about Regal's tenure in WCW where he held the Television Championship for months before he defected to Eastern Championship. And how since coming onboard here at ECW he's been undefeated in single's competition. Okerlund is sure the Baron Von Raschke is in his glory here tonight, with his team The Ubermensch having just won the Tag-Team Titles. His men now holding three of the seven Titles here at Eastern Championship Wrestling.Eastern States Championship: The Blitzkrieg vs. William Regal Referee S.D. Jones starts the match and The Blitzkrieg is all business as he storms over to William Regal and batters him about the ring. Regal does his best to fend off the attack but gets whipped across the ring and turned inside out with a monstrous clothesline! "Mangler's Monster" makes the cover! 1!... 2!... 3! No wait. Jones is signaling that Regal kicked out before the three. The Blitzkrieg doesn't seem to mind, though his manager The Baron Von Raschke kvetches about it on the sidelines with Aryan. The big man stomps a mudhole in Regal as he tries to get away, finally escaping outside the ring for a breather. He doesn't get much of one as Aryan Von Raschke goes after him and William slides back into the ring where The Blitzkrieg goes for another short clothesline! This time however Regal ducks it and delivers several punches to the big man's back before picking him up for a suplex! Both men hit the ground hard with "The Monster" landing on top of Regal. Sir William worms free however and climbing on top of him locks in the Regal Stretch arm trap cross-legged STF!
The Blitzkrieg struggles a bit in the move, but fights his way to his feet and slings his opponent off him! William rolls out to the corner where he's met by the Champ who comes in hammering him with hard rights and lefts before letting him have it with a massive headbutt! Regal looks dazed and out of it while "Mangler's Monster" lifts him like a ragdoll up onto the top turnbuckle and lets him have it with a superplex! He makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
Regal hangs in there! Getting his shoulder up William turns over and crawls toward the ropes, but The Blitzkrieg graves him by the leg, lifts him up into the air and slams his knee into the canvas! He does this several times before Regal reaches the ropes where The Blitzkrieg begins choking him out! Jones attempts to break it up, but Regal catches "The Monster" with a stiff elbow to the throat and climbing up to a seated position on the top rope drops his opponent with a Tornado DDT! The Champ is down as Regal makes the cover 1!...
The Blitzkrieg kicks out! Regal attempts to keep the big man down with several elbow drops and strikes, but "Mangler's Monster" keeps coming and gets to his feet where William lets him have it with chop after chop! The Blitzkrieg falls back a little, but grabs William by the throat and goes for the Chokeslam from Berlin! But William kicks him in the chest and drops to the floor before taking the big man down with a snapmare. Running the ropes, he connects with a dropkick on his seated opponent and going for the cover gets another one count. Frustrated Regal gets up and teeth gritted begins kicking and stomping The Blitzkrieg who once again gets to his feet and begins firing back on the challenger. He clubs Sir William from one end of the ring to the other before locking Regal in a vicious arm wrench! William screams in pain as the Champ really works over his arm before wowing the crowd as he climbs up to the top while still holding Regal's prone arm and leaps onto it with a legdrop! Regal screams and writhes in pain as he hits the floor. Unrelenting The Blitzkrieg pulls him up to his feet by the same arm and delivers the Chokeslam from Berlin! This is it! 1!... 2!... th- Regal kicks out! The Baron is incredulous on the outside as The Blitzkrieg hoists William up to his feet and tossing him into the corner pretends he's Rocky and Regal a slab of beef. But with only one good arm Regal begins fighting back! It doesn't matter, because "Mangler's Monster" grabs hold of him and goes for an Irish Whip! Which Sir William counters! The Blitzkrieg hits the corner and Regal charges in with a striking spear! And connects! He runs back and hits another! "Mangler's Monster" stumbles forward as William Regal grabs him from behind and connects with a side Russian legsweep! On the outside Von Raschke is beside himself and orders jumps up on the apron screaming at referee S.D. Jones. Meanwhile Regal has grabbed the big man's legs and with some trouble has turned him over and locked in a half Boston Crab with his knee pressing against his opponent's head! "The Monster" is struggling as Aryan Von Raschke slides into the ring from the other side. William Regal releases the hold and begins trading punches with Aryan as "The U.K. Kidd" Douglas Williams runs down the ramp and entering the ring aides Sir William by hitting the Kraut with a double straight jacket neckbreaker! Aryan rolls out of the ring and Williams is in hot pursuit. Foiled The Baron hops down from the apron, but he's given The Blitzkrieg enough time to recover and as Regal turns to the match The Blitzkrieg begins hammering on him again and whips him across the ring! "Mangler's Monster" goes for the big boot on the rebound! But Regal ducks it, pops up and hits the Regal Cutter arm trap neckbreaker! Regal is quick to get to his feet and is shocked to see a stunned Blitzkrieg do the same and come in with a hard right! William Regal counters however, ducking behind him and in an amazing show of strength hits the Regal-Plex bridging leg hook belly to back suplex! 1!... 2!... 3! William Regal has done the unthinkable! He's defeated The Blitzkrieg! He's the new Eastern States Championship! And has the good sense to hurry from the ring! Because The Baron Von Raschke is already inside! The Blitzkrieg is already back up! And the former Champ is pissed! Regal grabs his Title on his way out and holds it up victoriously as he backs his way up the ramp and out of the arena. Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before thanking us once again for tuning in to ECW's latest big event; Old School Rulz! "Mean" Gene says it's been one hell of a night with almost every Championship changing hands. Steve Corino has got to be sweating bullets right about now. They then talk about the self-proclaimed "Mr. Wrestling's" ECW Title reign which began on July 4th when he pinned then ECW Champion "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson in a Handicap match after taking out his partner that evening "Macho Man" Randy Savage by hitting him in the head with the Championship some, perhaps rightfully; say he stole. Since then however his impact on ECW cannot be disputed. Forming the Omega Horsemen stable consisting of himself, The Hardy Boyz; and Jason Venom; Corino has cut a path of destruction through the ranks here at ECW. Starting at the very top they beat down the "Macho Man" Randy Savage, a man who hasn't been seen here at Eastern Championship since, robbed Arn Anderson on his rematch via an assault with a steel chair; and after hobbling him, defeated "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff for the ECW Light Heavyweight Title. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
They then discuss Rick's Rude's time in ECW earlier this year, reminding us of his brutal Off the Chain Match with The Junkyard Dog the week before he entered The King of the Mountain match at the Pay Per View of the same name. He went in at #1 and fought his way through 29 other men to get a shot at then Eastern States Champion "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam for the Title. A Championship he won, only to lose it one week later when while already injured he faced off against "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg. After sometime recouperating from his wounds he was granted a rematch for his title at ECW's big event Hardcore Heaven where he faced both RVD and The Blitzkrieg in a Triple Threat Ladder Match for the Title. A match he lost with Blitzkrieg retaining the belt. After that he spent some time in ACW. Then in September he returned in a 20-Man # 1 Contender's Battle Royal with the winner receiving a Title shot at Old School Rulz! Rick Rude proved himself again, winning his second Battle Royal this year earning the chance to face ECW Champion "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino here tonight!

Rude comes down and strips off his robe before "Fire" by Scooter hits; and out comes the ECW Champ Steve Corino in his Flair-esque robe with the Title slung over his shoulder.
Gertner: And now introducing at this time weighing 222 lbs. from Sea Isley City, New Jersey; the Eastern Heavyweight Champion; he calls himself (even if nobodoy else does) "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino! ECW Title Match: Steve Corino vs. Rick Rude Steve Corino locks up with Rick Rude in a test of strength when referee Danny Davis starts the match. He loses and gets tossed back on his ass. As he gets back to his feet, "The Ravishing One" grabs him from behind in a headlock and takes him down over his knee with a backbreaker. He continues to work over "Mr. Wrestling" concentrating on his back and makes a cover following a tilt-awhirl back breaker! 1!... 2!..
Corino kicks out! Lifting him up to one knee Rude pounds the Champ and elbows him in the head staggering him before whipping him across the ring! On the rebound however Steve counters with a jumping corkscrew roundhouse kick out of nowhere! He makes the cover, but barely gets a two. He uses a pair of elbow drops to keep Rude down on the mat before locking in a hammerlock reverse STO! Rude grits his teeth in pain and struggles a bit, but manages to make it to the ropes where back on his feet Steve begins stomping him out. Rick doesn't give up however and fights his way up taking several punches from Corino before catching his fist, hoisting him up onto his shoulders; and backdropping him out of the ring to the floor below!
Climbing out onto the apron Rude leaps off an connects with a diving knee drop on the Champ bringing him back down to the floor. Lifting him up to his feet Rude begins punching and chopping Corino about the ring until he grabs hold of Steve and attempts to roll him into the ring and Corino counters with an Irish whip that sends Rick crashing into the steel barricade! Grabbing hold of the barricade, Steve begins stomping and grinding Rick's head into the floor before returning to the ring where he eggs on the booing crowd a bit. On the outside Rick Rude is back up on his feet and Steve Corino charges at him and leaps out of the ring onto him with a tope dive! Both men crash to the floor, but "Mr. Wrestling" is back up first and in control of the match pulls "The Ravishing One" up to his feet and slams his head into the steel barricade before running him back into the ring.
Steve climbs up onto the apron, but unfortunately for him Rick is back up and blasts him across the face! Then grabbing the Champ by the head pulls him in over the top rope and lays him flat with a DDT! 1!... 2!...
Steve kicks out! Pulling him back up to his feet Rude lets Corino have it with another chop, but gets a surprise when Steve lets him have it with a shot of his own. The two men begin brawling about the ring and though the ECW Champ gets his shots in, he's taking the worst of it. That's until he catches Rick offguard with a jawbreaker over his knee and as "Ravishing" staggers back he sends him crashing to the floor with a dropkick! With Rude down Steve Corino goes up top and going airborne connects with a diving leg drop! He makes the cover! 1!.. 2!
Rude powers out! Rude rolls over and gets to one knee only to hit the canvas once again as Corino tries to take his head off with The Shining Wizard! Rick tumbles toward the ropes, which he uses to steady himself as Steve Corino rushes in with another assault. This time Rick see him coming and lets him have it with a back elbow before cracking his skull with a hard right. Rick kicks him in the gut spinnng the Champ and hits the Rude Awakening delayed hangman's neckbreaker! He makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
Corino has kicked out! Okerlund can't believe it and neither can Poffo. Neither can Rude! He gets up looking a bit annoyed when Corino surprises him with a roll-up into an inside cradle! 1!... 2!...
Rude kicks out! The two men pop back up and though Steve gets several shots in, it's shor-lived as Rick Rude tears into the Champ who he grabs by the head and hits a running bulldog on! He doesn't go for the pin however, instead locking in a surfboard! Steve screams in pain but is close enough to grab the middle rope and Davis breaks them up. Rick attacks the Champ, but Corino hangs onto the top rope for dear life as "The Ravishing One" rains down punches on his back and head until S.D. Jones pulls him off. Rude has some words with the ref and ends up taking a superkick to the face! The Champ makes the cover! 1!.. 2!..
Rick kicks out! Rick still looks dazed as he gets to his feet and Steve comes charging in with the lariat! But Rick Rude blocks it and hoisting Steve Corino into the air counters with the overhead gutwrench backbreaker rack! Corino is in a bad way and screams in pain for a good bit trying to fight it before he finally submits and Rude tosses him down to the mat. Danny Davis is quick to raise the hand of the new ECW Champion; "Ravishing" Rick Rude!
Rude is looking rather pleased with himself when out from the back the rest of the Omega Horsemen charge down to the ring and begin beating him down!Steve Corino has the Hardy Boyz pull Rude up to his knees and they hold him steady as Corino begins bludgeoning the Champ and grabbing the Eastern Heavyweight Title is about to smash Rude in the face with it when someone grabs it from his hands?! He turns and is looking into the wild eyes of..."Macho Man" Randy Savage! Who lets Corino have it! The former Champ hits the ground with a purpose and scrambles his ass out of the ring while Savage tears into the other Omega Horsemen! Rick Rude is back up and together with Randy the duo clear the ring of Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy; and finally together they whip Jason Venom into the ropes and tandem dropkick him over the side! The two men shake hands as the fans cheer them on. Rick Rude is the new ECW Champion! Randy Savage has returned! Out in the audience Hulk Hogan is on his feet clapping. Randy and Rick invite The Hulkster and his family up into the ring to celebrate with them as the...

09/22/95 - New York"Here I Am Rocking Like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions plays as "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff appears on the set of a brightly colored talk show set with a Rock 'N Roll/Wrestling theme. He is limping a little but boogies on out and high fives several of the cheering kids and their parents before getting on the stage before them. He then introduces himself as AWA Legend and former ECW Lightweight Champion; and wrestling's one and only true "Rock 'N Roller" Buck Zumhoff!'He then welcomes everyone to another episode of ECW Slammin' Saturdays Season 3! He then says he has an exciting show for us today. On last week's show "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert with a little help from his family defeated "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri to become the # 1 contender for the ECW Light Heavyweight Championship. Well this past Wednesday at Old School Rulz he won the Title from Jeff Hardy. Today the new ECW Lightweight Champion will be here with his fellow Bayou Boy Cousin Jamie as they're set to take on The New Orient Express in a tag-team rematch!
He then heads over to the broadcast booth where he introduces his co-host "Captain" Lou Albano! The two men as usual give one another the cold shoulder.Joel Gertner handles the intros for the first match of the night.Match: Junkyard Dog vs. Bart Sawyer Junkyard Dog and Bart Sawyer slug it out. There isn't much wrestling, but alot of brawling about the ring. Sawyer gets in a dropkick and vertcial suplex during the match; but JYD counters with a massive headbutt which he follows up with a Thump! front powerslam for the win.After the break Hulk Hogan is here to tell all the little Hulkamaniacs that he's a 5-Time, 5-Time WWF Champion brother!Match: Spike Hughes vs. Jason Knight Though he gets a fair amount of offense in Spike Hughes takes a bit of a beating from Jason Knight who hits him with a bulldog and a sitout suplex slam, both of which net him a two count. Spike hangs in there however and ends up scoring the win with corner springboard cutter.Back from break we're brough to Chinatown where Mr. Fuji is seated in an ornate looking establishment smoking from a hookah with Masato Tanaka and Yoshihiro Tajiri of The New Orient Express sit on either side. While corny Japanese music plays Fuji tells us The Express' tale of woe, being cheated by dishonorable American teams like the Lawlers or out and out villains like The Ubermensch for the Tag-Team titles. He says this will happen no more. That his men fight in the honorable Japanese tradition of such greats as The Great Kabuki, Keiji Mutoh; and even Mr. Fuji himself. That while the Orient Express are men of integrity and discipline; they will no longer let that get in the way of the one thing that truly matters to them; Championship Gold. This starts tonight when they shall have their revenge on that pair of hillbillies; The Bayou Boys; who shall be crushed like fortune cookie! Tag-Team Match: The New Orient Express vs. The Bayou Boys Hillbilly Jim is at ringside with his nephews The Bayou Boys and Mr. Fuji doesn't like it one bit. He tries to get Danny Davis to remove him, but the ref refuses. Doug Gilbert hands his newly one tag-team belt over to Jim before starting things off with his rival from last week; Yoshihiro Tajiri. The match starts off with a series of armdrags from "The Redneck Rebel" on Tajiri; until "The Japanese Buzzsaw" agilely lands on his feet! Doug doesn't see this and gloats for the crowd a bit and Yoshihiro launches into a handspring back elbow that sends Gilbert tumbles into the ropes where he gets hung up letting Tajiri runs the ropes and connect with a huge Tiger Feint kick! Doug lands on his ass and as he attempts to get up, Tajiri leaps up onto the top rope for a springboard hurrancanra pin! 1!... 2!..
Doug kicks out! Buck is particularly impressed by this, but Captain Lou says he's seen and has done better. Zumhoff chokes on his coffee. Tajiri keeps control of the match for a bit, hammering away with several and chops and kicks on the Lightweight Champ before going for a whip which Gilbert reverses and connects with a Lou Thesz Press! He immediately begins pounding Tajiri's head in and when the ref puts a stop to that; he grabs the top rope and puts the boots to "The Buzzsaw!" He doesn't get much further however as Masato Tanaka comes to the rescue and nails Doug with the Dangan Bomb! Both men are down as Davis forces Tanaka from the ring. The men are slow to rise and the ref begins the count; but he only gets to 6 before they're both up and on there feet, scrambling to their corner to make the tag! Cousin Jamie and Masato Tanaka come right at one another with Tanaka looking for a clothesline! But Jamie ducks it and counters with a backslide! 1!...2
Tanaka kicks free and he's pissed! Before Jamie can get back to his feet, Tanaka is back up and begins clobbering him with rights and lefts before whipping him across the ring and decapitates his opponent with a clothesline! He makes the cover, but Jamie kicks out at two! Masato however just gets madder and delivers an elbow drop before hoisting the Bayou Boy up to his feet and drops him with a front powerslam! He pulls him up again, this time for a powerbomb! But once up on Tanaka's shoulders, Cousin Jamie outstays his welcome when he grabs Masato by the head and begins hammering on it! Tanaka stumbles back into the corner where Jamie hops off him and running back charges across and connects with a dropkick! This time Tanaka stumbles forward, and Jamie grabs him looking for a bulldog; but receives a sidewalk slam instead! Masato Tanaka is back in control and hands his opponent a beating, hitting him with a discus punch and a German suplex before tagging in his partner Yoshihiro Tajiri who sets up the recovering Cousin Jamie with the Shining Wizard which connects for the three count.
Buck Zumhoff then says that he knows these kids like Wrestling; but do they love Rock'N Roll as much as "The Rock 'N Roller" himself? He then sends us to a music video featuring a sentiment he's sure Mr. Fuji would get behind.The Vapors - Turning JapaneseFinally Buck Zumhoff says that time is almost up for this week's show and that it's now time for Slammin' Saturdays Main Event feature; the Wrestling Rewind. He says that this week's Rewind is from ECW's big event Hotter Than Hell which took place on September 21st of last year and featured then ECW Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage defending his Title against the villainous "Soul Stealer" Papa Shango in a Steel Cage in that night's Main Event!9/21/94 ECW Title Steel Cage Match: Randy Savage vs. Papa Shango Danny Davis starts the Match as the two opponents lock up. They test one another's strength which goes badly for Randy Savage when after several seconds on even footing; Papa Shango overpowers the Champ and forces him down to first one and then both knees. The fans rally behind "Macho Man" however and Savage battles fights his way up to one knee and then up back onto his feet. "The Soul Stealer" isn't looking to sure of himself and knees Randy in the gut following it up with a double axe handle smash over the head before whipping him across the ring and connecting with a big boot. Randy stumbles backward and falls to the floor while Papa goes for the cover getting a two count. Lifting the Champ up to his feet; he powerbombs Randy to the floor before heading for the cage, which he begins to climb. Randy stirs on the mat and getting on all fours rubs his head. Looking up he sees Shango halfway up the cage and his eyes go wide. Sprinting up he hits the cage with a drop kick that rattles it enough to make Shango looks his grip and fall to the floor. Angered "The Soul Stealer" walks over and attacks Randy; but Savage catches his hand mid punch and he applies an armwrench. Shango howls in pain as Randy keeps his arm wrenched and climbing up the to the second rope like a cat; he hits the arm with an elbow drop. As the witch doctor reels in pain; Randy grabs him by the head and smashes his face into the steel cage before nailing him with a facebuster over his knee. Taking "The Soul Stealer" down with a snapmare; Randy locks in an armbar trying to force the big man to submit!
Shango gets to the bottom rope however and Davis has him release the hold. Papa looks to be in bad shape as he uses the ropes to get back to his feet while Randy runs back across the ring to build momentum and charges Shango. At the last second however Shango moves out of the way as Savage goes crashing into the cage. As he stumbles back; "The Soul Stealer" schoolboys the "Macho Man" getting a near three count. Angry now Randy springs back up and meets Papa Shango in the center of the ring as they begins trading punches. Savage begins beating Shango back toward the ropes; until the big man takes him down with a clothesline that turns the Champ inside out. Picking Randy up and locking him in a headlock; Shango begins hammering the head of the Champ. Savage however battles his way up to his feet and nails a back body drop. Both men are down in pain as Papa Shango heads for the cage door. Meeting him there; Danny Davis begins to open it!
Savage sees this however and scrambling to his feet heads over and grabbing "The Soul Stealer" hits an atomic drop. The door closes. And Randy puts the boots to the challenger. He then tells Davis to open the door. He ducks his head under the ropes; only to be nailed with the door! Savage goes down hard as Brickhouse Brown grins triumphantly on the outside. Davis returns the key to his pocket. Meanwhile Papa Shango is back up and he begins makes the cover. 1!...2!...
Randy kicks out! 3!! Lifting up his fallen foe; Shango nails him with his signature inverted shoulderbreaker. "Macho Man" looks to be out cold as Papa Shango once again begins to climb the cage. He is two thirds up it when the crowd comes alive. Shango looks down at Savage to see him still out cold. Then out of the corner of his eye he sees it; "Ravishing" Rick Rude is outside the cage and is chasing after Brickhouse Brown! Rude catches Brown and after hitting him repeatedly; he takes Brickhouse out with a DDT on the concrete!! Shango feels a tug on his boot and looking down sees Randy Savage has pursued him up the cage. Grabbing Shango around the waist; Randy hits a suplex off the top rope! The Champ is groggy; but manages to crawl over to his opponent and throw an arm over "The Soul Stealer." 1!...2!...
Shango kicks out! Pulling himself onto his knees, Randy begins beating on Shango. But the big man has recovered somewhat and after catching Savage by the arm hits him with a headbutt that breaks the Champ open! Back on his feet Shango lifts Randy to his and whips him across the ring! He bounces off the ropes; but on the return Savage goes airborne and takes Shango down with a hurrcanrana! Keeping on top of Shango, Randy hits him with an elbow drop before picking him up and hitting a vertical suplex. Shango seems to be out of it; and Randy begins climbs up to the top turnbuckle. He then climbs up the cage and pauses on top. He then wobbles a bit as he gets into a crouched position. Lanny and Okerlund wonder what the hell he's doing as Randy stands on top of the cage. Poffo says Savage has always been nuttier than a pet coon. But this is suicidal! Randy shakes his head yes and signals for the elbow drop as the crowd goes crazy. Okerlund says that Randy has this match won already. Why would he do this?! "Macho Man" leaps from the top of the cage as Shango stirs below. He's moving and sits... Savage connects! Savage has hit the flying elbow on Shango!! Randy Savage growls and looks to be moving funny; but he rolls onto Papa Shango and hooks his leg anyway. 1...2...3!!
Savage has done it! He's retained the Title! Danny Davis runs over and lifts the Eastern Heavyweight Champ's hand in victory just as a small explosion of smoke bursts out beneath him. Smoke fills the ring momentarily as the lights flicker on and off. Randy looks down at his opponent and Shango is gone. There's nothing but smoldering rags in the ring! Voodoo drums play as attention is drawn toward the ramp. On the stage stands a sharply dressed satanic looking man in a red suit. Nobody seems to know who he is as he looks on. He is holding a cane and leering at the ring. He soon turns and without a word is gone. Inside the ring Randy Savage looks a bit battered and a little spooked as Danny Davis hands him his Championship. Randy is fatigued and collapses to his knees; clutching the ECW Title as the...
