Mike Tenay and Larry Zbyszko open the show. The Albuquerque crowd chants, “Larry, Larry, Larry!” Zbyszko acknowledges the cheers.





Tenay, “The New Mexico crowd loves the Legend, but many of us want answers. Legend, what’s going on with Wippleman? Let’s see what happened last week.”

We see highlights from last week.

Harvey Wippleman walks out. His Mountie uniform is gone. He is wearing his usual attire, but it is dirty and disheveled.



Tenay, “Harvey Wippleman, what are you doing here.”

Wippleman is almost soft spoken.

Wippleman, “I came here to talk to Zbyszko.”

Zbyszko, “Really Harve, what’s up?”

Wippleman, “Look, I know you hate me, and I hate you. I’m at the bottom. All my wrestlers have left, no one wants me to manage them. I’ve called everyone I know, and no one will help. I’m desperate. I know you have a lot of contacts, help me find someone to manage.”

Tenay begins to laugh loudly.

Tenay, “Larry Zbyszko help you? Come on!”

Zbyszko, “Harve, you’re right about one think, I do hate you, but I might just agree to help you. You come back next week, and I’ll give you my answer.”

Tenay, “What! What are you doing?”

The program ends with a wry smile on Zbyszko’s face, a look of joy on Wippleman’s and a look of utter shock on Tenay’s.

Tenay, “Larry, you shocked as all by saying you would consider Wippleman’s request. What are you doing?”

Zbyszko, “Harve made a request and I said I’d consider it. At the end of the program, tonight, I’ll give everyone my answer. I’m not going to talk about it until then.”

Tenay, “O.K. I trust you. We will wait and see. Now on to tonight’s program. We have a great show for you and we will also talk about an upcoming program that is going to be fantastic. We have two huge tag team matches for you tonight. The Rock and Roll Express take on Bob Orton and Kendall Windham and in the main event, the Unified Tag Team Titles will be on the line. The Can-Am Express meets Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi. What a match! Let’s go to the ring for our opening contest.”

Hulk Hogan Classic WWF Entrance

Tenay, “Hulk Hogan! The ‘Hulkster’ will be in Miami!”

Zbyszko, “Hulk Hogan is one of the legends of pro wrestlers, I am ‘THE’ legend, but Hogan is close.”

Tenay, “O.K. Legend. Now we talked about the past, let’s talk about the present. Let’s go to a press conference that was held earlier this week.”

We see the ballroom of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. Shohei Baba and Tommy Watanabe are seated at a table with many reporters in the room. Baba speaks and Watanabe translates.

Watanabe, “It is very good to be back in America. All-Japan and American Championship Wrestling continue to work together in a very positive manner. We are continuing to provide the best in wrestling entertainment for our fans. Our show at the Miami Arena on November 27 will be a great one. The matches already announced are fantastic, but tonight we are going to announce the main event. The ‘Crown on the King’ will be on the line when Toshiaki Kawada defends against Vader. This will be a match the world will watch.”

Tenay, “Wow! Hogan, Snuka and now Kawada vs. Vader, ACW is on top of the world!”

Lee Marshall is with the Rock and Roll Express.

Marshall, “With me are Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson, the Rock and Roll Express. Gentlemen, you have a challenge tonight. You meet two more veterans, Bob Orton and Barry Windham.”

Gibson, “Rick and I are in for one last ride and we’ll take on anyone. We know about Orton and Windham, all wrestling fans do. We don’t take them lightly, but we plan on winning.”

Morton, “Just like Robert said, we’ve got something left and we’re going to show it here in ACW. Orton and Windham are in our path, so we have to beat them!”

Marshall, “The first of our big tag team matches is next.”

The Rock and Roll Express vs. Bob Orton and Kendall Windham

These four veterans will put on a good show. The larger Orton and Windham use their size to control the early action. The crowd bets behind the Rock and Rolls and they rally. Robert tags in Ricky, who works over Windham. He tags Robert in and they hit the double dropkick for the win.

Marshall is with Wolf Hawkfield.

Marshall, “With me is the American Television Champion Wolf Hawkfield. Mr. Hawkfield, you battled Bradshaw to a time limit draw last week. You two will meet again. Are you ready for the big Texan?”

Hawkfield, “Bradshaw took me to the limit, and I love that. I want to be tested to see what my limits are. It was a battle to the end, and neither of us were victorious. I will wrestle Mr. Bradshaw any time, any place. I want the competition.”

Marshall, “I know Mr. Baba and the other committee members will get a rematch scheduled. Now let’s see the Champion in the ring.”

Wolf Hawkfield (Champion) def. Shannon Moore

Marshall is with the Can-Am Express.

Marshall, “With me are the Unified Tag Team Champions, the Can-Am Express. Tonight they meet Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi in a non-title match. Gentlemen, Misawa and Kobashi are two of the finest wrestlers in the world and they have held these titles before and they want them again.”

Furnas, “Dan and I have a lot of respect for those two. We’ve wrestled them in Japan and they are one of, if not the, top teams in the world, but that doesn’t matter tonight. We have the titles and we’re not giving them up without a fight. This might be a non-title match, but we don’t ever want to lose.”

Kroffat, “Misawa and Kobashi are the top guys in the business, but we’re the Champions, and like Doug said, we don’t want to lose these titles and we never want to lose a match.”

Marshall, “Our main event is next.”

Non-Title Match
The Can-Am Express (Unified Tag Team Champions) vs. Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi

What a treat for the New Mexico fans. This will be an exciting tag team match. The first several minutes are dead even and neither team can gain an advantage. Things begin to go the Champions’ way as Furnas works over Kobashi. “Orange Crush” is able to tag in Misawa and the former “Tiger Mask” goes to work. He lands the rolling elbow followed by the Tiger Driver for the win. The Challengers have scored an important non-title win.

Tenay and Zbyszko are with Harvey Wippleman. Wippleman looks better than last week, but still haggered.

Tenay, “Last week Harvey Wippleman asked Larry Zbyszko for help in finding someone to manage. Unbelievably Larry said he’d consider it. Now it’s time for his answer. Larry, what will it be?”

Zbyszko, “Harve, I hate you, but I feel sorry for you.”

Wippleman, “Look Zbyszko, I asked for a favor, don’t patronize me!”

Zbyszko, “Hey, if you don’t want my help, we can stop right now.”

Wippleman, “No, no, I’m sorry.”

Zbyszko, “I’ll get right to it. I’ll help you.”

Tenay, “WHAT?”

Zbyszko, “Never let it be said I don’t help fellow human beings that are down on their luck.”

Tenay, “But Wippleman’s not a human being.”

Wippleman, “Shut up Tenay, go on Larry.”

Zbyszko, “Don’t call me Larry. Now listen to me. You have to do exactly what I say. I have a tag team for you, and I’ll train them for you, but you have to stay away. I have a match scheduled for them, in two weeks, in Biloxi, MS. I’ve signed them to wrestle the Patriot and the Eagle. No use waiting for competition, let’s throw them into the fire right away.”

Wippleman, “Who are they? Who?”

Zbyszko, “The second thing you have to do is, don’t ask any questions. I’m in charge. You just show up in Biloxi and you’ll have a tag team.”

Wippleman, “O.K., O.K., Larry, I mean, Mr. Zbyszko, thank you, thank you! I’ll be in Biloxi.”

Tenay, “I don’t know what in the world you’re doing, I hope you’ve thought this through.”

Zbyszko, “I know what I’m doing.”

Tenay, “Alright in two weeks, Larry Zbyszko and Harvey Wippleman will have a tag team ready to face the Patriot and the Eagle. I can’t wait to see this. Now about next week, we’ll be in Dallas, TX, at Reunion Arena. The American heavyweight Title will be on the line, Stan Hansen defends against Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams, what a match that will be! Join us next week!”

Tenay, “Welcome to ‘ACW Live!’ and the beautiful Reunion Arena. Larry Zbyszko has taken a leave of absence to train his mystery tag team for Harvey Wippleman. With that said, you don’t have to listen to just me. We have signed someone to take the ‘Legend’s’ place. A former WWF Champion, Bob Backlund.”



Backlund comes out and joins Tenay.

Backland, “That’s ‘Mr. Backlund’ you ignorant popinjay! You have suffered through that peon of propaganda, Larry Zbyszko! Now you have the erudite Mr. Backlund enlightening all those small brains on ESPN 2, especially that ignoramus Keith Olbermann!”

Tenay, “Oh this is going to be a joy. Let’s talk about tonight’s show. We have a fantastic main event for you. Stan Hansen defends the American Heavyweight Title against the man he won it from, Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams. That’s later in the show. We open tonight’s action with a tag team match. The Public Enemy takes on ‘Hacksaw” Duggan and ‘Gentleman’ Chris Adams. Mr. Backlund, what do you think?”

Backlund, “Four ruffians, not capable of understanding the wisdom that I will disseminate in the next two hours.”

Tenay, “You heard him.”

Public Enemy vs. “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan and “Gentleman” Chris Adams

The veterans wait in the ring. “Here Comes the Hot stepper” hits and Public Enemy hits the ring. They attack Duggan and Adams. They are no match for the violence of the hoodies. PE hits the drive by on both men. The load them on to table and Rocco Rock hits a moonsault on both men. This is a level of violence not scene in ACW before.

Marshall, “With me is the American Heavyweight Champion, Stan Hansen. Mr. Hansen, you meet Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams. You beat him in July and he was injured. He’s been off for three months and has returned with a bang. He wants you title.”

Hansen, “He wants my title? Let him take it! I’ve been in this sport for a long time, and I’ve wrestled them all! Steve Williams is great, but I’m the American Heavyweight Champions, and you’ll have to kill me to take this title! Williams, you come on, toe to toe, let’s see who the best is! I won the first one; I’m taking this one too!”

Marshall, “This matchup is what the people have been waiting for. Stan Hansen vs. Steve Williams, in our main event, later tonight!”

Marshall, “Gentlemen, through very little fault of your own, you’ve become embroiled in one of the biggest stories in wrestling. Next week, you meet the tag team Larry Zbyszko has recruited for Harvey Wippleman. First of all, do you know who you are wrestling, and are you ready?”

Patriot, “The Eagle and I don’t know who we are wrestling, and we don’t really care. When he returned to ACW we signed as many open tag team contracts as we could. We don’t care who we wrestle.”

Eagle, “We respect Larry Zbyszko, but we have no idea what he is up to. We’re going to be in Biloxi and we’ll wrestle whoever is on the other side of the ring.”

Marshall, “These two masked men are ready.”

Bob Backlund is with Wolf Hawkfield.

Backlund, “With me is an ignorant savage, a man who paints his face like his prehistoric ancestors. Evolution eliminated your forefathers from this earth, why do you continue to act in this uncivilized manner?”

Hawkfield, “Mr. Backlund, your wrestling background is unparalleled. I came out here to discuss wrestling, not the history of my people.”

Backland, “Listen to me you Native American Nincompoop…”

Hawkfield, “I’m from Canada.”

Backlund, “Do not attempt to correct your intellectual superior! I came out here to ask you about Bradshaw. He is a stupid Texan, just like this crowd, but he is smarter and tougher than you are.”

Hawkfield, “Bradshaw is talented and I have had to use everything in my ability to keep my title. We will meet again, and it will not be easy, but I will give my all and I will remain the Television Champion.”

Backlund, “A fool’s opinion, a fool’s opinion! This savage sullies the title and the sooner the title is extricated from him, the better!”

Tenay, “Alright, Mr. Backlund, the next two weeks in ACW are going to be fantastic. Next week we are in Biloxi, MS, at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Larry Zbyszko promises to have a tag team for Harvey Wippleman to manage.”

Backlund, “Larry Zbyszko, a pretender. A man who couldn’t replicate what I did. That is win the WWWF Championship. He is a hollow version of great Champion like myself, a doppelganger attached to me like a remora…”

Tenay, “O.K. let’s move on. This new tag team will meet the masked team of the Patriot and the Eagle. They are jumping right into the fray.”

Backlund, “When I carried Pedro Morales to the WWF Tag Team Championship, I rewrote the book on tag team wrestling. They called me the Hemmingway of wrestling.”

Tenay, “Again, let’s move on. We have another match, just signed, for next week. Wolf Hawkfield defends the American Television Title against Bradshaw in a rematch from two weeks ago.”

Backlund, “A savage and an uneducated Texan, hardly a game of human chess, more like a battle of the witless.”

Tenay, “O.K. let’s talk about two weeks from tonight. We will be at the beautiful Miami Arena. November 20 is just two days from Thanksgiving, and the fans of ACW will have a lot to be thankful for. Please Mr. Backlund, don’t tell us how you taught the Pilgrims to hunt turkey and how you helped John Alden court Priscilla Mullins. We have several announcements concerning the matches for that night. We know that Toshiaki Kawada defends the ‘Crown of the King’ against Vader. That will start out in Miami and repercussions will be felt all the way to Japan. We also know it will be a night of nostalgia. We will see the Bushwhackers take on the Rock and Roll Express, Brutus ‘The Barber’ Beefcake meets Shannon Moore and in a match that any fan from the 80’s will love, Hulk Hogan meets Ron Studd. What a night!”

Backlund, “A night of mediocrity that is will only be saved by the brilliant repartee that only I can provide!”

Tenay, “The next two weeks will be unbelievable. We have two great matches remaining for tonight. Next we have an American Tag Team Title match. The Champions, the Pearls of the Orient, defend the titles against a team had had great success here in Dallas a few years ago, the U.S. Express, the Batten Twins.”

The veteran challengers look good early. The World Class fans remember them and are excited to see them in action. The masked Champions bid their time and rally. Jushin Liger lands the Liger Bomb on Brad for the win.

Marshall, “With me is the Challenger in tonight’s main event, Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams. Mr. Williams, you get a long awaited rematch with Stan Hansen.”

Williams, “I have been pinned once in the last 18 months, ONCE! And that was by Hansen. I spent three long months rehabbing this knee injury, well I’m 100% right now! I respect Hansen, but I can beat him and I will! I held that title for three months, and now I want it back! Hansen I’m coming for my title!”

Marshall, “Stan Hansen vs. Steve Williams is next.”

American Heavyweight Championship
Stan Hansen (Champion) vs. Steve “Dr. Death” Williams

This is a slugfest. Both men tear into one another. They slug it out in mid-ring. Neither man gains an advantage, so they move onto bouncing off the ropes and like to big rhinos, neither takes a step back. Things begin to move toward Williams. He whips Hansen into the ropes and backdrops the huge Hansen to the mat. Williams goes for the cover, but Stan kicks out. The match continues until Hansen hits the lariat and Williams hits the mat. Hansen covers him and referee Teddy Long counts 1…2…3! Hansen beats Williams.

Tenay and Backlund close the show.

Tenay, “Mr. Backlund, what a night. Despite the fact you wouldn’t let anyone else talk.”

Backlund, “The knowledge that I bring to this show is momentous and stupefying! Tenay, you have bored the fans for a long time and that cretin, Zbyszko, is even worse.”

Tenay, “Speaking of Zbyszko, we have him on the phone right now. ‘Legend’ how is the training of this mystery tag team coming?”

Zbyszko, “Tenay, things are going very well. I’ve kept old Harve out of the way and this team is ready. You just tune in next week and you’ll see what I’m talking about.”

Tenay, “I still don’t believe that Larry and Wippleman are working together, in some way, but Larry knows his wrestling and if he says this team is great, it is. We’ll find out next week. We are going to leave you with this.”

We see a video of Thanksgiving scenes.

Backlund, “At least you got the moniker correct, ‘Mr. Backlund’, the beacon of light of professional wrestling. I am the man that is lifting the discussion of wrestling and fighting the ignorance of wrestling fans worldwide.

Tenay, “Not to mention humility. We  have the big event coming up later. Larry Zbyszko presents Harvey Wippleman with his new tag team and they meet the Patriot and the Eagle in the main event. We know that both Zbyszko and Wippleman are here, but neither man will speak to us we have to wait. Let’s get right to the ring for our opener.”

Rock, “Shut up, he’s just funny that way. I’ll tell you why we do that. Johnny and I grew up on the streets, in the hood, in South Philly. We grew up with violence, and we bring that to the ring. The tables just remind our opponents that the match is the easy part.”

Marshall, “These two ‘gentlemen’ have been very impressive. Tonight they meet the veteran team of ‘Hollywood’ John Tatum and Jack Victory.”

Bradshaw, “Listen Marshall, I know that Hawkield is great. He’s held that title for most of the past two years. I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I’m going to take that title and it’s going to happen tonight! This big Texan is going to smash that Canadian Indian and it won’t be pretty!”

Marshall, “Let’s go to Mr. Backlund and Wolf Hawkfield.”

Hawkfield and Backlund are in the interview area.

Backlund, “With me is an ignorant savage. Listen you stupid redskin, you have no chance against a man like Bradshaw. He is a dumb Texan, but that still makes him your intellectual superior, and of course, your athletic superior.”

Hawkfield, “Mr. Backlund, I came here to talk about the match, not to be insulted.  Don’t care what you say about me. You were a great wrestler, but it seems that your headdress is missing a few feathers these days. I know how good Bradshaw is. We’ve had great matches and he’s come close to taking this title from me. It will take all I have to retain it, but that’s what I plan to do.”

Backlund, “This interview is over. I have lost several IQ points just listening to this ignorant fool! Of course, my IQ is so high, that I could lose hundreds of points and still be the smartest man in wrestling!”

Wolf Hawkfield (Champion) vs. Bradshaw

Two big men go toe to toe. The early moments are slugfest. Both men are testing one another and neither man takes a step back. Finally Bradshaw backs the Champion into the corner and pounds away. Referee Chad Patton is having trouble controlling the action. Bradshaw whips Hawkfield into the ropes and goes go the clothesline. Hawkfield ducks and traps Bradshaw in a backslide. Patton counts 1…2…3! The Champion has retained the title!

Lee Marshall is seated at an announce desk.

Marshall, “Fans we are two days from Thanksgiving. Professional Wrestling has a long Thanksgiving tradition and ACW is joining that tradition. Thursday night, at 9:00 PM, ACW will air live on ESPN 2. Part of the tradition of Thanksgiving has been tag team action. Many arenas held tag team tournaments and special tag team matches on that night. ACW is going to do just that. We present a night dedicated to tag team wrestling. All the experts agree that ACW has the best tag teams in the world. You will see three big matches on Thanksgiving. First of all, young and impressive, Alex Wright teams up with Johnny Ace to meet Yoshinari Ogawa and a Japanese newcomer, Yugi Nagata. That will be a great one. Next, in a match just added, Stan Hansen, the American Heavyweight Champion, teams with Bradshaw to met Steve Williams and the American Television Champion Wolf Hawkfield. Based on the match we just saw, this will be a war. Then in our main event, we have an eight man tag team match. On one side we have The Crown of the King Champion, Toshiaki Kawada. He teams with fellow Sonny Onoo employees, Akira Taue and the Pacific Cyclones, Gran Naniwa and Super Delphin, to meet Vader, Jun Akiyama, and the Pearls of the Orient, Jushin Liger and Ultimo Dragon. That’s enough to please any fan, but we have one more thing. Let’s look at this.”

We see a video of Dusty Rhodes.



Rhodes, “Florida and Dusty Rhodes, Dusty Rhodes and Florida, the two are linked forever. The ‘Dream’ rules the Sunshine State for a long, long time. Now everyone says ‘American Championship Wrestling’ is the best thing going, well you can’t have American without the ‘American Dream’! The ‘Dream’ returns to the Lakeland Civic Center and the state of Florida! And I promise you one thing, the ‘Dream’ will get…Funky like a Monkey!”

Marshall, “Dusty Rhodes will be, live, on ACW, on Thanksgiving Night! Don’t miss that!”

Mike Tenay and Bob Backlund are seated at the announce table.

Tenay, “Fans we are minutes away from the debut of the tag team that Larry Zbyszko has chosen and trained for Harvey Wippleman. It just doesn’t sound right to mention Zbyszko and Wippleman on the same side.”

Backlund, “Zbyszko is a deranged dimwit, but Mr. Wippleman, on the other hand is a genius, not to the level of myself, but still a very intelligent man. I can’t believe he has sullied himself by associating with a miscreant like Zbyszko. Had I been around, I would have handled this situation for Mr. Wippleman.”

The masked men wait in the ring. Harvey Wippleman nervously walks down the aisle. Marshall questions him.

Marshall, “O.K. Harve, who is it? Who did Zbyszko get?”

Wippleman, “I don’t know, leave me alone. I’ve got work to do.”

Zbyszko walks out on stage.

Zbyszko, “Harve, I looked long and hard. I turned down several teams until I found the perfect team for you to manage, and here they are.”

No one comes out at fist, and then….OUT COME DUANE GILL AND BARRY HARDY!





The march down the aisle slapping hands with the fans. Zbyszko burst into laughter and Wippleman has a shocked and then livid look on his face.

The match begins and the Patriot and the Eagle dominate the action. Gill and Hardy have no chance. The end comes with the Patriot hitting the Patriot Missile vs. Gill.

Miguel Perez Jr. and “Desperado” Joe Gomez vs. The Patriot and The Eagle

Perez is a veteran from Puerto Rico and the son of the former WWWF Tag Team Champion. The masked men were involved the match that humiliated Harvey Wippleman on Tuesday. This will be a good one. The match goes back and forth and both teams have their chance. Finally the Eagle catches Gomez with a flying bodypress for the win.

The Rock and Roll Express vs. The Public Enemy

This is the 80’s vs. the 90’s. The crowd will be treated to a contrast in styles. Morton and Grunge open the contest. Grunge uses his size advantage and Morton his speed and it’s very even. Rock tags in and he and Grunge double team Morton. This brings in Gibson and referee Jack Doane has a brawl on his hands. This get back to normal, somewhat. The match continues and both teams have their chances. All four men end up in the ring and Doane cannot control the action. He calls for the bell and disqualifies both teams.

Unified Tag Team Championship
The Can-Am Express (Champions) vs. Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi

The Challengers have held this title in Japan and they hold a non-title win over the Can-Ams. The match begins with Kobashi and Doug Furnas in the ring. They lock up and Furnas uses his strength to take control. Furnas punished “Orange Crush” with several power moves. He slams Kobashi and goes for the cover. Kenta kicks out and is able to tag in Misawa. Misawa goes to work on Furnas, but Doug is able to tag in Dan Kroffat. Kroffat and Misawa trades holds and counter holds. The Lakeland crowd is treated to a great display of wrestling. Misawa goes for the rolling elbow, but Kroffat ducks and back suplexes Misawa to the mat. He covers him, but referee Teddy Long’s count only reaches two. The fast pace continues until Kroffat catches Kobashi in the sit-out power bomb. He covers Kenta and Long counts three. The Champions retain the titles.

Mike Tenay and Bob Backlund open the show.

Tenay, “Welcome and Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you had your fill of turkey and dressing, because we are about to give you more than enough wrestling action! Mr. Backlund, how was your Thanksgiving?”

Backlund, “It was wretched! I had to spend it in this uneducated Southern state! Now all of these in-bred Florida bumpkins have piled into Uncle Jed’s truck and come to the Civic Center. The entire first three rows have a combined IQ of 32 and that’s also how many total teeth they have.”

Tenay, “Alright you don’t like Florida, we get that, but our first guest has a different opinion of the ‘Sunshine State’. Let’s bring out the ‘American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes!”

Rhodes comes out amid the raucous cheers of the Lakeland crowd.



Tenay, “Dusty, welcome to ACW!”

Rhodes, “Professor Tenay, it is so great to be here! Lakeland, FL, what memories! I beat Dory Funk Jr. in this building, I beat Pak Song Nam, the ugly honky Ko-rean, in this building, I beat Kevin Sullivan, in a cage, in this building! Now I’m here for a special reason!”

Tenay, “Yes you are Dusty. Let’s set the stage. On Tuesday, Larry Zbyszko debuted the tag team he personally trained for Harvey Wippleman and this is what happened.”

Tenay, “To say the least, Harvey Wippleman is angry. He will be here tonight, as will Larry Zbyszko and they will ‘debate’ in the ring. The moderator will be, none other than, Dusty Rhodes!”

Rhodes, “The ‘Dream’ can talk, we all know that, and I’ve got some questions for both Wippleman and Zbyszko. It’s going to be fun.”

Backlund, “This dunderhead moderating a debate! You must be kidding, here I am the smartest man in the world and you don’t choose me!”

Rhodes, “Bob Backlund, I have memories of you in Florida too. You were just a young guy starting out and you came down here. You were young and inexperienced. I felt sorry for you and tried to introduce you to a pretty girl in a bar after the matches one night. All I remember is you fainted, dead cold on the floor!”

Backlund, “Not true! You are a prevaricator! A prevaricator!”

Tenay, “That’s neither here, nor there. We are  going to the ring for our first match. This is a night dedicated to tag team wrestling. In the ring for our opening match will be a newcomer from Japan, Yuji Nagata and his tag team partner Yoshinari Ogawa and they meet Alex Wright and Johnny Ace. That’s quite a match!”

Alex Wright and Johnny Ace vs. Yuji Nagata and Yoshinari Ogawa

Nagata is a young Japanese wrestler with a hard hitting style. He teams with the talented Ogawa. Wright and Ace make a strong team as well. The bell rings and its Ace vs. Ogawa. Ogawa is sharp, but Ace’s size helps him and neither man gets an edge. Both men tag out and the roles reverse, Wright’s speed vs. Nagata’s power. The match is very even. The end comes when Nagata uses the belly to belly suplex with a bridge.

Lee Marshall is with Stan Hansen and Bradshaw.

Marshall, “With me are a hunter and the hunted. Bradshaw is hot on the trail of the American Television Champion and Stan Hansen is being chased by Steve Williams. Gentlemen, you are in the thick of the action.”

Bradshaw, “Hawkfield, I’ve said this before, I’m not going to say anything bad about you. You’re good, but I know I’m better! I’ll get another shot, and I’ll take that title!”

Hansen, “Williams, I’ve beaten you twice and I’ll do it again!”

He slams his hat and bullrope to the floor.

Hansen, “Let’s get this started, Bradshaw, I’m ready! I wanna’ fight!”

Hansen and Bradshaw head to the ring.

Marshall, “Hansen and Bradshaw are ready, but let’s go to Bob Backlund who is with Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams and Wolf Hawkfield.”

Backlund is with Williams and Hawkfield.

Backlund, “With me are Wolf Hawkfield, an ignorant savage and Steve Williams, an illiterate Oklahoma Sooner. Gentlemen, and I use that term very loosely, you are teaming for the first time. You are bringing two single digit IQs together and that will be humorous to watch.”

Hawkfield, “Mr. Backlund, I pride myself in never losing my cool, and I won’t, but Steve Williams has not taken that pledge and I will leave him to answer your question.”

Williams, “Look Backlund, your act is old! You were a Champion, and I respect that, but you’ve got a big mouth and after I finish off Hansen, I just might come after you! Now shut up, get outta my face and I might not slam you through the floor!”

Backlund, “Two ignorant fools that cannot match my wrestling know how.”

Wolf Hawkfield and Steve “Dr. Death” Williams vs. Stan Hansen and Bradshaw

Four top stars are in the ring for this one. Referee Chad Patton has his hands full. Hawkfield and Bradshaw open the match. These two have had great matches all over the country and both are out for blood. They pound away at each other and neither man steps back. They continue to land rights and lefts and the fans are into every blow. Eventually Williams and Hansen tag in and the slugfest continues. Patton does his best, but finally he steps back and lets the combatants fight it out. Hansen whips Williams into the ropes and goes for the lariat. Williams ducks, scoops up the American Champion and hits the Oklahoma Stampede. Patton counts 1…2…3! “Dr. Death” has pinned Stan Hansen!

Marshall is with Vader, Jun Akiyama and the Pearls of the Orient.

Marshall, “With me are Vader, Jun Akiyama and the Pearls of the Orient. Mr. Vader, I’m sure you’re the spokesman for this group. You meet Toshiaki Kawada on Tuesday for the ‘Crown of the King’. You meet him along with Akira Taue and the Pacific Cyclones. You could send a message tonight.”

Vader, “Kawada, Tuesday night is going to be ‘Vader Time’! You’re going to get a taste of that tonight! Sonny Onoo, you stick your nose into things and I’ll smash you!”

Marshall, “Let’s go to Bob Backlund with Sonny Onoo and his men.”

Backlund is with Sonny Onoo, Toshiaki Kawada, Akira Taue and the Pacific Cyclones.

Backlund, “With me is Mr. Sonny Onoo, a product of wonderful Japanese educational system. A system that teaches youngsters to think for themselves and solve problems. Mr. Onoo did just that, though a leveraged buyout, he added these for four men to his organization, and what an organization it is. Mr. Onoo, you send Toshiaki Kawada into the ring, next Tuesday, to defend this title against Vader, but tonight, you have the big eight man tag team math. Are your men ready?”

Onoo, “Mr. Backlund, such an honor to be interviewed by you. Sonny Onoo very proud. My men will show world what we are made of. Vader big man, very big man, but Kawada ready. He beat Vader so bad tonight, he not show up in Miami.”

Backlund, “That is my prognostication.”

Eight Man Tag Team Match
Vader, Jun Akiyama and the Pearls of the Orient vs. Toshiaki Kawada, Akira Taue and the Pacific Cyclones w/Sonny Onoo

Referee Teddy Long will try to control this one. Both teams are ready for action and it’s Super Delphin vs. Jushin Liger to begin the match. They both use their entire repertoire of moves and counter moves. Liger tags in his partner and the Ultimo Dragon works over Delphin. He goes for a suplex, but Delphin blocks it and catches Dragon in a small package. Dragon kicks out at two. Soon it’s Kawada vs. Vader. This is the matchup everyone wants to see. They begin to pound away on one another. Kawada switches to his patented kicks and Vader is in trouble, but not for long. He rallies with big rights and lefts. What a slugfest. Vader tags in Akiyama and “Blue Thunder” goes to work. Kawada tags in Taue and the former sumo star goes to work. Both teams tag in and out and the action is even more wild. Gran Naniwa and Ultimo Dragon end up in the ring. Naniwa catches the Dragon in the Clutch de Naniwa. Dragon submits! What a match!

Tenay, “In a few minutes Harvey Wippleman and Larry Zbyszko will debate their differences with the ‘American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes as the moderator. That will be something to see, but first let’s talk about next week. We will be at the beautiful Miami Arena and will be a night dedicated to the present and the past. We will see Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka in action, Brutus ‘The Barber’ Beefcake in the ring and the Bushwhackers will be in action. That’s great but, this man will be there as well.”

Hulk Hogan Entrance - Titantron

Backlund, “A second rate WWF Champion, that’s all that big buffoon is. He’d no Mr. Backlund.”

Tenay, “Let’s go to the ring.”

The ring is set up with three podiums. Lee Marshall is in the ring.

Marshall, “Let’s get right to it, the moderator for tonight’s debate, the ‘American Dream’, the man who rules Florida, Dusty Rhodes!”

Rhodes comes to the ring and takes his place behind one of the podiums.

Rhodes, “Hello Florida! The ‘Dream’ is back! Let’s get this on the road, bring Wippleman and Zbyszko out here, now!”

Wippleman comes to the ring first. The crowd boos loudly. Zbyszko is next and the boos turn to cheers.

Rhodes, “O.K. gentleman, and you too Harve, let’s get right to it. Harvey, what was wrong with the team Zbyszko brought you? Gill and Hardy used to wrestle in the WWF, just like the ‘Dream’.”

Wippleman, “What’s wrong? They’re losers! That’s what’s wrong!”

Zbyszko, “That’s why I thought they’d be a perfect fit for you.”

Rhodes, “Easy Larry, you’ll get your turn.”

Wippleman, “I trusted Zbyszko and he brought me those two losers!”

Rhodes, “O.K. Larry why did you pick those two guys?”

Zbyszko, “Well, a lot of teams wanted to come to ACW. The Quebecers wanted to come back, the Road Warriors, the Steiners and even the Hart Foundation called me, but Harve, I knew you’d screw them up, so I went with Gill and Hardy. Hey, I thought they’d win.”

Wippleman, “You know Zbyszko, I know you thought I’d come here and lose my temper, but I’m not going to do that. The one thing I can assure you, you can’t outsmart me.”

With that Kamala and Kamala II hit the ring. They attack Dusty first and toss him out of the ring. They then turn their attentions to Zbyszko. They slam him and both hit big splashes. Wippleman grabs the mike.

Wippleman, “Kamala and Kamala II, how about them, but I’m not finished. The One Man Gang comes to the ring. He climbs to the second rope and hits the “747” Splash. Zbyszko is out. Wippleman and his new men stand over Zbyszko as the show ends.

Tenay, “Welcome to Miami! We have a lot going on tonight. Mr. Backlund, what do you have to say?”

Backlund, “I have spent several days here in Miami. Everyone here is 80 years old. The pace of life is in reverse. Now let’s get to the important things. Let’s bring Wippleman out here. I want to congratulate him.”

Tenay, “Mr. Wippleman is our first guest. Let’s look at what happened last week.”

We see highlights of the “Debate” between Wippleman and Larry Zbyszko, moderated by Dusty Rhodes.

Zbyszko, “Well, a lot of teams wanted to come to ACW. The Quebecers wanted to come back, the Road Warriors, the Steiners and even the Hart Foundation called me, but Harve, I knew you’d screw them up, so I went with Gill and Hardy. Hey, I thought they’d win.”

Wippleman, “You know Zbyszko, I know you thought I’d come here and lose my temper, but I’m not going to do that. The one thing I can assure you, you can’t outsmart me.”

Tenay, “Wippleman, what is this?”

Wippleman, “The name is ‘B’wana Wippleman’ if you don’t mind.”

Tenay, “What are you talking about? What is this ridiculous getup?”

Wippleman, “After the embarrassment of Biloxi, I went to deepest darkest Africa, through the jungles, sailed across Lake Victoria and found the Kamalas and brought them here. I contacted the One Man Gang and offered him a chance to come back to ACW. He jumped at the chance and then I lowered the boom on Zbyszko. Revenge is sweet Tenay, very sweet!”

Backlund, “I was so happy to see you destroy Zbyszko. He is a lout and an uneducated moron. Since I have arrived I have shown the people what an educated announcer sounds like.”

Tenay, “O.K. Harvey, I mean B’wana, your story is so unbelievable that can’t even comment on it, but these three men give you a very powerful force. You are back in the game. We have news on Larry Zbyszko. He suffered internal injuries and will be on the shelf for several weeks.”

Backlund, “You mean for forever, he will never be back!”

Tenay, “I wouldn’t bet on that. Now let’s see the One Man Gang in action.”

Marshall, “With me are Ricky and Robert, the Rock and Roll Express. Gentlemen, you have been very successful in ACW and you are now locked in a struggle with the Public Enemy, but tonight it’s different. You turn back the clock and take on one of the famous teams from the 80’s, the Bushwhackers.”

Robert, “They are unpredictable. You don’t know if they are going to punch you, or lick you.”

Ricky, “Don’t ever forget, they may do crazy things in the ring, but they can be vicious too. They entertain the fans, but they can put a hurting on you, we know that!”

Marshall, “This is nostalgia night, so let’s get to the ring.”

The Rock and Roll Express vs. The Bushwhackers

The Rock and Rolls come to the ring to “Rock and Roll is King”. The crowd erupts. The Bushwhackers are next as they march to the ring with their theme playing in the background. The bell rings and its action from the get-go. The Bushwhackers return to some of their vicious ways. They have control of the early action. Ricky rallies his team and they hit the Double Dropkick on Butch and they Rock and Rolls get the win.

Marshall is standing in front of the interview area.

Marshall, “Let’s look at this.”

Hulk Hogan Entrance - Titantron

Marshall, “Ladies and gentleman, Hulk Hogan!”

Hogan comes out and joins Marshall.



Marshall, “Hulkster, welcome to ACW!”

Hogan, “You know something Lee Marshall, the Hulkster has been around for a while, I’ve seen it all! This is one of the most exciting promotions I have seen! I’m glad to be here!”

Marshall, “Well, we’re glad to have you here tonight. You meet Rod Studd. You knew his father very well.”

Hogan, “The names Hogan and Studd go back a long way! ‘Big John’ was tough and his son looks like he has the same genes! I know it won’t be easy, but I’m not going to disappoint these Hulkamaniacs!”

Marshall, “Hogan vs. Studd is next!”

Hulk Hogan vs. Ron Studd

Stud waits in the ring. “Real American” hits and Hogan comes to the ring. His entrance is one of the greatest spectacles in the sport. Studd jumps Hogan before the bell. He pounds away and the legend in trouble. The crowd rallies Hogan and he “Hulks Up”. He slams Studd and lands the legdrop for the three count. Hogan starts into his posing as Studd leaves the area. Hulk takes the mike.

Hogan, “Studd, look at me. Your dad would be proud! You got it!”

Studd salutes Hogan and Hulk goes back to posing.

Brutus Beefcake vs. Shannon Moore

Beefcake struts around the ring with his shears. He takes the mike from Marshall.



Beefcake, “I came here to do some struttin’ and some ciuttin’! Shannon Moore, you’ve got some nice long hair, for now.”

The bell rings and the young Moore is very sharp. Beefcake relies on his veteran know how and traps Moore in the sleeper. He’s out. Bruti takes out the scissors and gives Moore a trim. The crowd loves it!

Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka def. Kendall Windham, w/Superfly Leap

Marshall is with Vader.

Marshall, “With me is the man called Vader. Mr. Vader, you meet Toshiaki Kawada for the ‘Crown of the King’. This will be a hard-hitting affair. You’ve met him before, and you have comes close. Is tonight the night?”

Vader, “Listen Lee Marshall, It’s Vader Time and Kawada is going to pay the price! I just hope Sonny Onoo sticks his nose into things and take care of him too! Kawada is one of the best, and so am I. Let the best man win!”

Marshall, “Vader is ready. Let’s go to Bob Backlund and Sonny Onoo with Toshiaki Kawada.”

Backlund, “It’s about time Lee Marshall, you Minnesota moron! With me is one of the smartest men in wrestling, next to me, Sonny Onoo. Mr. Onoo, you pulled the Coup d'état of all time by adding this man to his group. Mr. Onoo, Vader is a large, violent man, but so is Kawada.”

Onoo, “Mr. Backlund, very wise man, very wise. Kawada is King, he has crown. Vader, big fat man. He tough, yes, but Kawada better. You will see.”

Backlund, “This will be a great match, the only thing better would be to have me in action.”

Toshiaki Kawada (Champion) w/Sonny Onoo vs. Vader

There is a “Big Fight” atmosphere in the Miami Arena. Lee Marshall goes through the introductions and the tension builds. The bell rings and it’s on! Both men are cautious. They know one mistake is all it will take for the other to win. Both men have their moments in the early action. Things swing towards Vader as he uses his size advantage to wear down Kawada. Sonny Onoo is apoplectic at ringside. He shouts instructions. Kawada goes to the kicks to make a comeback. Vader is backing up now. Both men end up in the ropes and tumble to the floor. They continue to battle it out on the arena floor. Referee Teddy Long’s count reaches ten and both men are counted out.

Tenay and Backlund close the show.

Tenay, “What a night, the now and the past came together and it was fantastic!”

Backlund, “A fair night, but I wasn’t in the ring. It could have been better.”

Ternay, “That’s what I thought you’d say. Let’s talk about next week. We will be in Tampa, at the Sundome. Here’s what you will see, we will see the debut of a new tag team, the ‘Bruise Brothers’. They have to be seen to be believed. Harvey, I mean ‘B’wana’, Wippleman’s tag team of the Kamalas will be in action and in the main event, we will see a 20 man, over the top rope, ‘Battle Royal’, with a  $10,000 purse to the winner. You know all the big names will be out for the money. Join us next week!”
