7/4/95 - Wheeling Civic Center Wheeling, WV"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling; tonight from the Wheeling Civic Center in Wheeling, West Virgina! Poffo reminds us that they're still too close to Canada. So be on-guard. He has a billy club with him at ringside. Just in case. They then discuss last week's show focusing on Ivory defeating Beulah McGillicutty to become the # 1 contender for the Women's Championship, The Blitzkrieg defeating "Hacksaw" Butch Reed to retain the Eastern States Championship, Tommy Dreamer and Dustin Rhodes attacking Destruction Inc. backstage; and Arn Anderson defeating Masato Tanaka to retain the ECW Championship. They talk about what a brutal match it was and wonder what condition "The Enforcer" will be in tonight. They then discuss Anderon's match tonight which we learned last week will be a Handicap match; wherein Eastern Heavyweight Champion Arn Anderson will face both "Macho Man" Randy Savage and his protegee Steve Corino at the same time! Okerlund is disgusted by this and says this is ridiculously unfair and that if Bischoff had a spine; he'd stand up to Savage and put a stop to it. Lanny on the other hand says that AA knew what he was getting into when dealing with the "Macho Man" and that if he loses the Title here tonight it'll be solely the fault of one man: "The Enforcer" himself. Okerlund then wishes us a Happy 4th of July and assures us there'll definitely be some fireworks here tonight!
"Fucking Hostile" by Pantera then hits as Destruction Inc. heads down to the ring as Joel Gertner makes the intros for the first match of the night.Tag-Team Match: Destruction Inc. vs. Deep South Junkyard Dog and "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch head down to the ring while "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen plays. They give Destruction Inc. a tough match and both teams get several nearfalls before Mongo Vyle and Rhino nail Murdoch with the Death Drop flapjack/cutter combo for the pinfall from referee S.D. Jones.
After the match "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle gets on the microphone says that he hasn't liked that pipsqueak Tommy Dreamer since he first set eyes on him. He says like most New Yorkers, he's just a big mouth jabroni who can't back up what he's selling. And Dustin Rhodes? Well he might've been something over in the GWF fighting that bunch of cartoon characters; but here in ECW is where real men wrestle. And he's "The Mauler" isn't just a man, he's THE MAN. And he's tired of dealing with jokers like Rhodes and Dreamer instead of going after the only thing that matters in this business. Championship gold. Which is why he's talked to Eric Bischoff and in two weeks him and his boy Rhino, "The Man-Beast" are gonna put an end to this. And just so that whiny pissant little Tommy can't complain about the outcome, they're gonna put the kabash on things his way; in a Hardcore match!Back from the break "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman is in the ring giving a demonstration with his Kendo sticks while his manager "Captain"Lou Albano puts him over. He says that Blackman would be the # 1 contender for the tag-team Titles next week, but that dolt Eric Bischoff doesn't consider Blackman's right and left leg a team. But that doesn't matter because tonight he's going to prove he's better than those two hayseed Champs we have by breaking one-half of the Lawlers in half.Match: Steve Blackman vs. Brian Lawler Danny Davis starts up the match and Steve Blackman dominates Brian Lawler early on before hitting him with a Fisherman's suplex! 1!...2!... Brian kicks out! Blackman keeps on top of him and works him over, but Brian rallies back and looks like he might be on the verge of winning it when he goes up top looking for the Tennessee Jam guillotine legdrop! Albano however jumps up onto the apron distracting the Tag Champ until Davis orders "The Captain" down. Brian then makes the jump, but Blackman rolls out of the way! Lawler hits the canvas hard and as he staggers up to his feet, Steve Blackman takes his head off with a roundhouse kick! He makes the cover and gets the win. After the break ECW correspondent Terri Runnels is with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson! She talks to him about his match last week and Arn puts Masato Tanaka over as one hell of a challenge. Even without that fink of a manager Mr. Fuji he would've been tough. They then talk about his match tonight and "The Enforcer" says it's always difficult facing two men at once. There are too many variables involved and just about anything could happen. Obviously the odds aren't in his favor tonight, but Arn has been a fighting Champion since he won the Title back in December and he's faced every challenge that has come his way and he's overcome it. So he isn't going to complain about fighting both "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Steve Corino. He's faced them both before. And beat them both before. So tonight AA is going to go out there and face down the odds and walk away with this Title where it belongs. Around his waist. You can bet on that.Match: Christian Cage vs. William Regal Christian Cage is young and hungry, but he's no match for Sir William Regal who has the match well in hand when Doink the Clown heads down to the ring and distracts referee S.D. Jones while Regal whips Christian across the ring. Jones doesn't see the young man coming and Cage collides into him knocking the ref down to the mat! Rolling into the rings, Doink the Clown brandishes a pair of brass knuckles as William Regal puts up his hands, ready for a fight! Just then however Doink spins about and busts Christian in the face knocking him out cold! Regal looks confused for a second until The Clown tosses the weapon to William before fleeing the ring while laughing maniacally at him. S.D. Jones wakes up just in time to see Regal toss the brass knuckles away and calls for the bell, giving Christian the win by DQ. Regal is fuming."Rock You Like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions is playing when we come back from break while Okerlund and Lanny remind us that next week's show will be coming to us live from the University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio and that while tickets for the show are sold out; those folks at home can tune in right here on ECW's home station of TNN The Nashville Network. Inside the ring is ECW Light Heavyweight Champion "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff! He is wearing a patriotic themed jumpsuit and talks to us about the importance of Independence Day before leading the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. After that some fireworks go off and Buck thanks the people in attendance for supporting the greatest wrestling promotion in the world today, Eastern Championship!Match: Dustin Rhodes vs. Douglas Williams Dustin Rhodes comes out to the ring in his American flag leather jacket and instantly has the crowd behind him against "The U.K. Kidd" Douglas Williams. Tommy Dreamer is at ringside and rallies the crowd up with "USA!" chants as the two men put on a good match with lots of back and forth and nearfalls. Rhodes has Douglas in a front headlock and is about to go for the DDT when "Fucking Hostile" by Pantera hits! Dustin looks up to the ramp for Destruction Inc., who isn't there and gets thrown with a back body drop by Williams who goes up top and waiting for Dustin Rhodes to get up to his feet connects with a missile dropkick that nets him the three from Danny Davis! "The U.K. Kidd" is booed by the crowd as his hand is raised in victory while Tommy Dreamer helps Dustin up and the two men confer with one another on what just happened. We're then taken to the office of ECW President Eric Bischoff who is telling "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch that this business between him and Scott Taylor has got to stop. It's bad for business. Hell, with all likelihood because of him he's going to have to deal with "Macho Ma-"...He's cut short though when Sir William Regal bursts into the office! He apologizes to both men for the interruption, and asks Eric if he just saw what Doink the Clown did out there? That he's sick and tired of that buffoon interrupting in his matches and that Doink has got to be stopped. That either The Clown goes or William goes. This seems to give Regal an idea and snapping his fingers he says that he knows just what to do. Regal has no worries that he can defeat that buffoon in the ring. So he's willing to put his career on the line against something dear to Doink. His face. Regal wants Doink's mask. He's obviously got something to hide behind it and Sir William wants to reveal what it is to the world. Bischoff seems a bit nervous about it and tells Regal he's a real asset to the company that he doesn't want to lose. Regal is determined however and tells Bischoff if he doesn't make the match happen; he'll quit. Eric is reluctant but tells him if that's the case he's got it. Regal wants to know when and Bischoff tells him he has to check the schedule, but he'll get back to him. William tells him the sooner the better before shaking both men's hands.
After Regal leaves Eric Bischoff turns back to Murdoch. "Captain Redneck" grins at him and tells Bischoff that "the limey" just gave him an idea how to settle his little problem with Taylor...Match: Luna Vachon vs. Velvet McIntyre After some back and forth, Women's Champion "Mad Dog" Luna Vachon hits Velvet McIntyre with a snap suplex and makes the cover to pick up the win. S.D. Jones hands her the Title and Luna poses with it until...Ivory appears on the ramp with a mic in her hand. She tells Luna Vachon that last week she defeated Beulah McGillicutty to become the number one contender for the Women's Championship. And that she'd better enjoy holding that Title while she can, because when Ivory left WCW it was to come here and face the toughest challengers in Women's wrestling today. She wanted to prove she's the best. And in three weeks at the Nassau Coliseum she's going to do just that; when she defeats Luna Vachon decisively to become the new ECW Women's Champion.Back from break "The Doctor of Style" Slick is in the ring with his men Brickhouse Brown and Butch Reed. He says that last week his man "Hacksaw" Butch Reed got a shot at the Eastern States Championship. However what don't you see in this very ring here? That Title of course. Why? Naturally not cause of "Hacksaw" himself. Oh no. Reed had that goosestepper The Blitzkrieg right where he wanted him. But as usual a man of color had to face yet another injustice. Another hardship at the hands of the white man. Aryan von Raschke stepped into this ring illegally. He stole Butch's shot just like his forefathers stole their heritage centuries before. And of course it went unnoticed. Why? Not cause of the man, Danny Davis. No. Not this time. But because of a traitor. A Judas to his people known as S.D. Jones. Cause like all Uncle Tom's he prides himself on being colorblind. Key word blind. Blind to the plight, blind to the injustice wrought upon his own brothers by whitie. He should be fired immediately. But that's not why Slick is out here tonight. Oh no. Tonight The Doctor of Style isn't here to complain. Because next week his men have a shot at the Tag-Team Championships! And nothing the "Macho Honky," nothing the Panda Express; and nothing everyone's favorite hillbillies The Lawlers can do next week will stop his men from taking those belts with them out of Ohio with them next week. Match: Brickhouse Brown vs. Matt Hardy Matt Hardy does his best here and almost gets the pinfall after hitting the Twist of Fate cutter on Brickhouse Brown. "The Man of the Hour" kicks free however and rallies back before dropping Hardy to the mat with a swinging neckbreaker that gets him the three count from that honky Danny Davis.Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the final commercial break of the evening. They then begin hyping tonight's main event which will see ECW Champion "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson defend the Eastern Heavyweight Title in a Handicap Match against "Macho Man" Randy Savage and his protegee Steve Corino. They discuss what led to this match over the past several weeks starting with Savage's attack on Scott Taylor with a steel chair, threatening to snap Taylor's neck if AA didn't agree to give Randy a shot at the Title. They then discuss the Tag-Team match between the four men which saw "The Superstar" Scott Taylor pin Steve Corino which should have ended the "Macho Man's" pursuit of the Title. However Savage had one more card left to play, challenging Arn to have a match between their two protegees; the winner of which getting to chose the stipulation for a Title match between Savage and Anderson. "The Enforcer" agreed looking to rid ECW of "Macho Man" once and for all in a Loser Leaves Town Match. However that wasn't to be, with Steve Corino pinning Scott Taylor thanks to the interference of Taylor's rival Dick Murdoch and the Junkyard Dog. With the stipulation his to decide, Randy Savage chose to increase the odds of him winning here tonight by forcing Arn Anderson to face both him and Corino in a Handicap Match! Pomp and Circumstance then hits and Lanny says he's had a horrible thought. Should "Macho Man" Randy Savage the ECW Champion win here tonight and then go on to win the Tag-Titles next week, he'll be holding two Titles! As if he weren't insufferable enough just holding one.
Gertner: The following Hanidcap Match is scheduled for one fall and is for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship! Introducing first the challengers at a combined weight of 480 lbs. and accompanied to the ring by "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs; they are "The Macho Man Randy Savage and Steve Corino!
Heading down to the ring Savage enters first and poses for a bit before handing his coat and hat to Combs and allowing Corino to enter. They wait a few minutes before "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson appears on the ramp with the ECW Title around his waist. He looks all business as usual.
Gertner: And now introducing from Rome, Georgia weighing 255 lbs.; he is th Eastern Heavyweight Champion; "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson!Handicap ECW Title Match: Randy Savage & Steve Corino vs. Arn Anderson S.D. Jones raises the Title before handing it over to Joel Gertner and then starts the match. Arn Anderson approaches his opponents and extends his hand to Steve Corino who takes it. He then extends his hand to Randy Savage, but when "Macho Man" goes to take it; "The Enforcer" slaps the taste out of his mouth! Randy immediately fires back and soon both he and Steve Corino are on Anderson like rabid dogs. They batter the Champ across the ring and into the corner where they proceed to stomp a mudhole into him. The two men receive a warning from S.D. Jones to back off, so together they lift AA up to his feet and look to be setting him up for a double suplex, but Anderson fires back with a surprise elbow smash to Corino and with Randy caught off-guard, Arn hops back onto the second rope and springboards with a clothesline on Savage! Steve is already back up just in time to be taken back down with a hard right from the Champ and with Anderson firing on all cylinders he hoists Corino up into the air and nails him with a spike piledriver! He makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
Savage pulls Arn off of Corino and begins laying into him as the Champ fights his way up to one knee. The two men are going at it punch for punch when Randy grabs Arn by the head and savagely smashes his face into his knee! AA pops up to his feet and Randy runs the ropes and charging across leaps over the top rope hitting a hairpull hangma! Anderson bounces back as "Macho Man" climbs the apron and leaps up to the top rope as agile as a cat. Leaping off he nails Arn with a legdrop and makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
Arn kicks out! Corino is back up and he helps Savage stomp Anderson out before the two men lift AA to his feet and whip him across the ring, hitting a double back elbow on the rebound. "The Enforcer" hits the mat and both Savage and Corino work him over a bit before Steve Corino locks in the figure four! Arn screams in pain, but is quite far from the ropes as he fights to get to them. Steve lets go however and together with Savage they pull Arn back into the center of the ring where Randy Savage locks the figure four in! AA screams once more and attempts to fight his way to the ropes. He struggles, but it's no use. This could be it!
Switching tactics Arn uses all his strength to flip himself over reverses the leglock! It's Randy's turn to scream as Andersons its up and really puts on the pressure! Corino is there however to make the save with a stomp to the face! He begins kicking the Champ when he's down, but the crafty veteran rolls outside where he catches his breath for a bit before climbing up onto the apron to re-enter, getting a 5 count. He's met by Corino who hammers him in the face. Arn fires back and the two men battle over the top rope for a bit before Anderson takes Corino by the scalp and runs him into the corner smashing him on the turnbuckle! From there he grabs Steve and pulling him up hits a vertical suplex to the outside! Both men hit the ground hard and Jones once again begins the count. Inside the ring Savage has shaken off the damage to his leg and seeing the danger scrambles outside and after grinding his opponent's face into the apron rolls Arn back inside at 8. He climbs the ringpost from the outside and signals for the Savage elbow drop! He goes airborne, but Arn rolls free and Randy connects with nothing but canvas! Back up and on his feet the ECW Champ locks in the hammerlock on "Macho Man!" He works over Savage's arm, even when Randy fights his way up to his feet, keeping his opponent in constant pain with an armwrench! Randy won't give however, so Arn whips him across the ring and hits a back body drop before making the cover! 1!...2!..
Steve Corino is back inside breaking things up. Randy is back up and the two men put a hurting on the Champ, setting him up for the jumping high knee in the corner and scoop slam from Savage and the sitout hip-toss, followed by sliding lariat from Corino. Together they then nail Arn Anderson with a double brainbuster busting the Champ open! Randy makes the cover. 1!... 2!... thr-
Arn kicks out! ee! Savage is beside himself and doesn't understand why Anderson won't just stay down. They stomp him a bit before lifting him up to his feet when "The Enforcer" comes alive and belts Savage before hitting him with a sitout jawbreaker! He then pops up grabs Corino and treats him to the same! Both of Arn's opponent's are down as he lifts the wobbly Corino up and hits him with a DDT! He makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
Steve kicks out! Arn doesn't have any time to be surprised as Savage begins kicking him across the ring, but Arn leaps up and takes Randy down with a clothesline! He's not done and pulling Savage up tosses him into the corner with a hair whip?! He runs in and begins pounding on Savage climbing up to the top rope and continuing the assault. He then grabs Randy by the head and hits a running bulldog! AA makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
"Macho Man" kicks out! As Savage gets up to one knee Arn grabs him by the head and tries to hold him down punching him in the face. But Randy just won't quit! He "Machos up" and rallies back and the two men battle back and forth. They both look tired as they throw down in the middle of the ring until Randy clips with an elbow and follows it up with an atomic drop on the dazed Champ! He signals for the Flying Elbow Drop and climbs up top! He leaps off and connects! 1!... 2!... th--
WHACK!
Savage goes limp and falls off the Champ. Before S.D. Jones even has time to look up Steve Corino has thrown the ECW Title out of the ring! He falls down to his knees and cover Arn Anderson! 1!... Arn begins to stir! 2!... He goes to kick out, but Corino's got a handful of tights! 3! Corino has pinned Anderson! Corino has pinned Anderson! He pops up and throws his hands up in the air before rolling from the ring and grabs the Title from Joel Gertner who's just collected it off the floor. He shoves the announcer out of his way as he heads halfway up the ramp and turns back toward the ring holding the Title!
Inside the ring "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is already up and looks pissed as he yells and points at Corino who is backing his way up the ramp. Anderson is soon joined by Savage who's livid. Steve Corino however is all smiles as he hugs the belt close to him as the...
Lights Fade.

7/11/95 - University of Dayton Arena Dayton, OH"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to the Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio for another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling! They recap last week's show, briefly discussing Destruction Inc. challengering Tommy Dreamer & Dustin Rhodes to a hardcore match and William Regal looking to put his career on the line against the mask of Doink the Clown. However, what they mainly talk about was the shocking finish to last week's Handicap Match for the Eastern Heavyweight Title in which Steve Corino pinned ECW Champ "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and walked out of the Wheeling Civi Center the Eastern Heavyweight Champion! Neither announcer seems sure if Corino is really the Champ however as the match was technically between Anderson and the "Macho Man" Randy Savage. They're sure however that we'll be hearing from all three men tonight as well as ECW President Eric Bischoff before the night is through about this matter.Steve Corino however isn't wasting anytime and "Fire" by Scooter hits as the ECW Champ appears on the ramp with the Title held above his head. The fan reaction is immediate as they begin booing him and he seems to eat it up as he holds the Title out to them as he heads down to the ring and throws the belt over his shoulder. He gets the microphone from Joel Gerner before telling the fans to shut it.
Corino says that they're the real turncoats here. That if the people of Ohio want to see a traitor; all they and the other crybabies out there have to do is look in the mirror. Cause see, while they all have a short memory. Steve Corino doesn't. Cause last year in West Virginia; the very state he won this here Championship, Steve Corino defeated that nobody Big Bad John. Another crybaby who went home because Pete Rose; a baseball player mind you; gave him a boo boo on his leg. And the fans ate it up. Their "Savior" had returned. After being screwed over by that glorified TV announcer Eric Bischoff time and time again, Corino got his shot. And he ran with it. He went on to beat "The Man-Beast" Rhino in Delaware; and despite all the adversity he faced he made it to the semi-finals against "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. And the whole time all he heard were the people chanting his name.
But he came up short and that skunk Bischoff fired him. Not only fired him, but black-listed him with every other company out there. So in the end it came down to a decision. Either Steve Corino could take his ball, go home back to New Jersey; or he could go wrestle in some third-rate promotion like the NWA. But Corino wasn't going to pull a Steven Richards. So New Jersey it was gonna be. Only then he got an offer. An offer to come onboard as the Randy Savage's little bitch. Not his protegee. Not his partner. But his bitch. Hold his "Macho" jacket Steve, make his "Macho" coffee, shine his "Macho shoes. And I took it.
I took it because wherever the "Macho Man" goes; opportunity is sure to follow. And last week my time came. After months and months of serving as Randy Savage's coatrack; he needed my help. And I saw it. Steve Corino's oppurtunity. And I took it. And I ran with it. And last week I kicked his "Macho" ass, I proved I could do what I failed to do back in December; and I pinned "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. And on July 4th, Independence Day; I liberated the Title from the same old, same old to stand here before you today; the new ECW Champion. Something nobody my age has done since the legendary Lou Thesz did it back in 1937! So you want to call me a traitor? Fine. I don't care. Because what you're looking at whether you like it or not; is the future of wrestling! He holds the Title up once again as "White Train" by Tito & Tarantula hits. And out comes ECW President Eric Bischoff with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. The two men head down to the ring to face a hesitant Steve Corino. Once inside the ring Bischoff takes the microphone from him. "The future of wrestling?" Eric ponders. If he means future endeavored that would be more likely. Because quite frankly? Bischoff doesn't like Steve Corino. Can't stand him in fact. But... there's only so many things that he can do here. Only so far he can push things. And over the last week he's had some heated discussions with the office backstage, the "Macho Man" Randy Savage; and even the man Steve stole the belt from; "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson himself. And while Eric would love nothing more than to strip that Title off Corino's shoulder; the decision has been made. That the ECW Title will never be stripped for any reason. And while Bischoff might not agree that Steve Corino was actually eligible to win the Title in the match last week; several people disagree with that opinion. Including "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. AA?
Arn Anderson then takes the mic. "The Enforcer" tells Corino that he's a sneaky son of a bitch. And that while it's obvious he's pretty proud of himself for what he did, he shouldn't be. He isn't sure if Randy Savage would've been able to have pinned him last week. But if it was gonna be anyone, it should've been the "Macho Man." But it wasn't. And Anderson isn't going to come out here and dispute facts. Steve may have cheated to get where he was. Laid in wait like a weasel. But the fact stands. He was in the match and he did pin "The Enforcer." But he's warning Steve right now. AA wasn't ready to give up his belt last week. And in two weeks at the Nassau Coliseum they're going to meet right here in this very ring again. And "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is going to be putting that belt right back where it belongs. Around the waist of the true Champion, Arn Anderson. You can bet your sorry ass on that.Joel Gertner makes the intros for the first match of the night.Match: Arn Anderson vs. Doug Gilbert Back from the break Arn Anderson and Doug Gilbert are both inside the ring already and referee Danny Davis starts the match. After last week "The Enforcer" is in a foul mood and he takes it out here on poor Gilbert, physically dissecting his opponent in between beating him down. "The Redneck Rebel" does his best to rally a comeback when he gets the opening, but it proves futile. In the end Arn Anderson hits Doug Gilbert with a Gourdbuster and hooks his leg for the three count. After the match we cut backstage where ECW correspondent is talking with the Baron Von Raschke who is with the Eastern States Champion The Blitzkrieg and Aryan von Raschke. He tells Terri that he's getting damned tired of his men getting looked over because of the color of their skin; while that whiner Slick and his boys get Title shot after Title shot. Just then Eric Bischoff turns up and he tells The Baron he's glad to hear he wants a shot at the Tag-Titles; because he has an opening in tonight's big Four Corners Tag-Team match; because he certainly isn't giving that snake Steve Corino the shot at another Title. Besides the fact he and Savage would likely kill one another. Therefore tonight The Baron Von Raschke's have there chance; so it's time for them to put up or shut up.Match : Scott Taylor vs. Doug Williams "The Superstar" Scott Taylor and Doug Williams have a good back and forth match with several nearfalls while S.D. Jones officiates. Taylor has the match well in-hand when he comes off the top with his diving high-impact chop and lays out "The U.K. Kidd." Just then "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen hits and Dick Murdoch appears on the ramp distracting Taylor.Grabbing his opponent from behind Douglas Williams hits the Chaos Theory waist lock backwards roll transitioned into a bridged German suplex which gets him the win! Inside the ring Taylor is pissed and is surprised when he turns to the ramp and Dick Murdoch is still there waiting for him.
"Captain Redneck" says that this little feud of theres has gone on long enough. Murdoch says that at 48 years old he knows he is no Spring chicken. He's been working in this business longer than Taylor has been alive. And he realizes he probably isn't going to be doing this much longer; but that doesn't mean he doesn't have anything left to prove. Which is why he's decided to prove once and for all that he's better than Anderson's snot-nosed punk of a protegee. So if'n Taylor will put that sissy Superstar hair of his on the line; he'll put up his career. In a Texas Bullrope match! Taylor shakes his head in agreement.Match: B. Brian Blair vs. Erin O'Grady "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady enters the ring after tossing his gold coins to the crowd and Danny Davis starts the match. "THE Killer Bee" B. Brian Blair gets the early advantage, eventually locking O'Grady in a sleeper hold. Erin however rallies back and the two men fight back and forth until Erin O'Grady takes Brian Blair out with his Lucky Charm lifting double underhook implant DDT! After the match he places a gold coin on each of Blair's eyes.Mean Gene and Lanny welcome us back from break before reminding us that next week Eastern Championship Wrestling will be coming to us live from the Pittsburgh Civic Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! The tell us that while tickets for the show are sold out; that the folks at home can watch all the action live right here on ECW's home station of TNN, the Nashville Network!Match: Randy Savage vs. Rob Van Dam Randy Savage with his head bandaged comes to the ring accompanied by Debbie Combs while Rob Van Dam comes accompanied by his ego. He points to his shoulders as he gets in "Macho Man's" face while his fans chant his name. Randy still in his hat and jacket, decks "Mr. Wednesday Night!" Savage is obviously furious and like Anderson did to Gilbert earlier, looks to take out his frustrations on RVD. He drives Rob into the ropes and whipping him across the ring connects with a lariat takedown. From there he works Van Dam over, nailing him with an atomic drop and a scoop slam. He proceeds to whip him hard into the corner and comes running in for the flying high knee! Van Dam moves at the last second however letting his opponent crash into the corner. Jumping on Savage, Rob pounds him a bit before sending Randy airborne with a monkey flip! From there he works Savage over for a bit with a variety of kicks and chops before attempting a vertical suplex; but Savage reverses and hits RVD with one! He makes the cover but only gets a two count. Savage looks to keep on top of him and hammers Rob in the head as he fights his way up to one knee, when Rob counters with a leg sweep! He then runs across the ring and connects with the Rolling Thunder! He covers the "Macho Man" but barely gets a two. He catches Savage in a headlock down on the mat, but Randy manages to reach the ropes getting referee S.D. Jones to break the hold. Van Dam however is undaunted and charges in on the recovering "Macho Man" who uses Rob's own momentum against him to hurl him over the top rope and out of the ring! Climbing outside onto the apron, Savage leaps off and lets Rob have it with a double axe handle! He proceeds to put the boots to RVD before pulling him up and slamming his head into the steel guardrail! When he goes to do it a third time, Rob blocks it, elbows Randy in the gut and slams "Macho Man" head first into the steel before jumping up onto the guardrail himself! He then springboard's off with a roundhouse kick to Randy's head, busting him open! Savage is bloody when Van Dam rolls him back into the ring at 8. RVD hops up onto the ring and looks to leap onto the top rope when someone grabs his foot and pulls him back down to the apron?! He turns to see it's Debbie Combs! He makes a punching motion to scare her off. It works, but when he turns back Randy Savage grabs him by the head and hits him with a cutter over the top rop! Van Dam pops back down to the floor as Randy climbs out onto the apron and hits a jumping knee drop on Van Dam who's clutching at his neck. On the outside Savage beats Rob Van Dam up for a bit before rolling him into the ring. While still on the outside Randy signals for the Flying Elbow Drop and then climbs the turnbuckle from the outside! While up top he mocks RVD by pointing to his shoulders and goes airborne! And the Savage Elbow Drop connects! 1!... 2!... 3! Savage has won it!After the match he has Debbie Combs get him the microphone and asks is Steve Corino the real Champ? Is he not the real Champ? Well "Macho Man" doesn't care. All Randy Savage cares about right now is getting his hands on that punk and putting him in a world of hurt. Yeah. He's well aware that "The Enforcer" is gonna get his rematch. And he has no doubt he'll win the belt back. Dig. But what Randy wants and what Savage is gonna get next week is Steve Corino one on one brother. And he's going to get his pound of flesh. Dig it. Ooooh Yeah! After the break ECW correspondent Terri Runnels is with "The Diabolical" Mr. Fuji and the New Orient Express. He tells her that whil Masato Tanaka lost to "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson two weeks ago, it was not a complete loss because it proved that his man Masato Tanaka is perfectly capable of taking on the top competitors in the world. And that he came very close to defeating Anderson. Which is why he wants another Title shot for Masato against this so-called "Savior" Steve Corino. Because when Corino comes up against the might of The New Orient Express, the only one who's going to need saving; is him. Mwahaha!Match: Ivory vs. Takako Inoue Takako Inoue gives the number one contender for the Women's Title Ivory a good fight; but in the end Ivory nails Inoue with a DDT to get the 1-2-3 from Danny Davis. After the match we cut to Doink the Clown and Luna Vachon who discuss their upcoming matches at the Nassau Coliseum where the couple will delight in ending not one, but two things. "Mad Dog" Luna Vachon will end Ivory's winning streak along with any aspirations she had at ever becoming the ECW Women's Champ while Doink will bring an end to the 12 year long joke William Regal's been calling a career. ECW correspondent Terri Runnels is in front of the ECW banner again, this time with Tag-Team Champions The Lawlers. Jerry as usual does most of the talking. He says that him and his son Brian face a steep challenge tonight, taking on four of the top teams in the division; but as everyone knows; "The King" has never been one to back down from a fight. And tonight The Lawlers are going to go out there, kick some international ass; and walk out of Ohio still the ECW Tag-Team Champions. Brian adds that he's just making sure he stays as far away from The Blitzkrieg as possible and Jerry gives him a smack on the back of the head.Match: Spike Hughes vs. Dustin Rhodes Spike Hughes is accompanied to the ring by his partner Devon Hughes while Dustin Rhodes brings his own partner Tommy Dreamer. "The Innovator of Violence" seems on-guard, keeping an eye out for Destruction Inc. during the match. S.D. Jones starts things up and Spike Hughes proves to be a bit faster than Dustin Rhodes and gives him a decent fight, frustrating Dustin when he kicks out before the three after being hit with the lifting falling inverted DDT! He keeps on Spike, but Hughes rallies back and catching Rhodes by the head goes for the Acid Drop corner springboard cutter! But Tommy Dreamer pushes Spike away from the corner allowing Dustin Rhodes to catch little Spike in mid-air counter with a backbreaker over his knee! This of course pisses off Devon Hughes and he attacks Tommy Dreamer! The two men go at it on the outside despite referee S.D. Jones's admonishions. Dustin Rhodes meanwhile seats Spike Hughes in the corner and theatrically kicks him in the nuts! Grabbing his crotch Spike hits the floor and rolls into the ring where Dustin makes the cover and picks up the win.Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening. They then discuss tonight's big Main Event; which is a Four Corners match for the ECW Tag-Team Championships! They discuss how after winning the belts back in January, The Lawlers have held the belts for nearly 6 months now; putting them in contention for being the longest reigning Tag-Team Champs in ECW history should they win here tonight. The team that currently holds that record is The New Orient Express; who held the belts for 6 months and 22 days during their first Title run. The Express who of course are in tonight's match will be looking to not only win to regain the belts, but also to stop the Lawlers from breaking that record. Also in the match are Slick's team of Brickhouse Brown and "Hacksaw" Butch Reed who has lost to The Lawlers back on May 2nd in a Title match at Hardcore Heaven. They'll be looking to avenge that loss; while Von Raschke's tandem of The Blitzkrieg and his son Aryan will be getting their very first shot at the Tag-Team Championships here tonight! The Kaientai theme hits.
Gertner: The Following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Easterrn Tag-Team Championships! Introducing first the challengers making their way from Tokyo, Japan at a combined 420 lbs. and accompanied to the ring by Mr. Fuji; they are Taka Michinoku and Yoshihiro Tajiri; The New Orient Express!
Fuji leads his men down to the ring and shakes hands with referee Danny Davis.
Gertner: And now introducing at a combined 530 lbs. and led to the ring by their manager Slick; the team of "Hacksaw" Butch Reed and Brickhouse Brown!
The Express wait outside the ring while Brown and Reed stalk about the ring.
Gertner: And making their way to the ring now from The Republic of Germany and accompanied by The Baron Von Raschke; weighing a combined 548 lbs. they are The Ubermensch; The Blitzkrieg and Aryan von Raschke!
Butch and Brickhouse put on a brave front with Slick hiding out behind them, until the Eastern States Champion The Blitzkrieg hits the ring. Then they decide to vacate it.
Gertner: And finally introducing the Eastern Tag Team Champions, weighing a combined 456 lbs. from Memphis, Tennesse; they are the team of Brian and Jerry "The King" Lawler!
Main Event Tag-Team Title Four Corners Match: The Lawlers vs. The New Orient Expres vs. Brown/Reed vs. Savage/Corino (replaced with Blitzkrieg & Aryan)
The Lawlers hit the ring and pose with their Tag-Team Titles, but that doesn't last long as Aryan and The Blitzkrieg who're still in the ring attack them! Davis orders The Baron Von Raschke from the ring and he reluctantly goes as Butch Reed and Brickhouse Brown rush the ring and join the brawl while The New Orient Express hang back and watch the carnage. Lanny Poffo calls this a "Genius" tactic on the part of Fuji's men and goes to show why they're already two time Tag Champs.
Things eventually settle down and Davis order Brian Lawler to starts things out with Yoshihiro Tajiri. The two have some good back and forth action with a nearfall when Brian hits Tajiri with a swinging neckbreaker; but when "The Japanese Buzzsaw" surprises Brian with a wheelbarrow transitioned into an armdrag, he rolls up to his feet and and dazed tags in the closest person; who happens to be Aryan von Raschke.
The match continues with everyone getting some ringtime. There are several pin attempts including Masato Tanaka laying Aryan out with the Complete Dust inverted sitout side powerslam, Brickhouse Brown nailing Jerry Lawler with a swinging neckbreaker; and Yoshihiro Tajiri toppling Butch Reed with a flying crossbody. "Hacksaw" powers out hard and works Tajiri over a bit before gorilla pressing him from the ring! He then gets in the face of The Blitzkrieg and pushes the big man! "Mangler's Monster" however charges in and takes Reed's head off with a clotheline! The match once again becomes a brawl with Davis having trouble restoring order as everyone begins beating on one another.
Crawling back into the ring Tajiri tags in Masato Tanaka and while some fighting continues on the outside he squares off with Butch Reed! The two men slug it out with niether man having the clear advantage until Tanaka manages to catch "Hacksaw" with a knee to the gut and caves in his skull with a brainbuster!
Reed however kicks out just before the three and manages to escape his opponent. With Brickhouse Brown busy fighting Aryan on the outside; he ends up tagging in Jerry Lawler who goes up top and hits Tanaka with a missile dropkick followed by a cover!
Masato kicks out at two and the two men battle back and forther until "The King" gets some payback for Reed and crowns Tanaka with a Piledriver! 1!... 2!...
Tanaka kicks out! Jerry tags in his son Brian Lawler and together the duo hit a double suplex on Masato while on the outside The Blitzkrieg hits Tajiri with a backbreaker on the guardrail! Brian meanwhile climbs up top and leaping off hits the Tennessee Jam guillotine legdrop just as Brickhouse Brown charges in to make the save! Brian makes the cover! Jerry begins slugging it out with Brown. 1!....
Jerry takes Brickhouse down to the mat with a snapmare. 2!
Jerry turns and walks right into the Sieg Hail superkick courtesy of Aryan!
3! Brian Lawler has pinned Masato Tanaka! The Lawlers have retained the Titles!
Lights Fade.

7/18/95 - Pittsburgh Civic Center Pittsburgh, PA"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to the Pittsgurgh Civic Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling! They then briefly dicuss last week's show in which it was confirmed that Steve Corino is in fact the new ECW Champion, the Lawlers retained their Tag-Team Titles in a hardfought Four Corners match; and Scott Taylor accepted Dick Murdoch's challenge to put his hair on the line against "Captain Redneck's" career in a Texas Bullrope Match! And that match will take place here tonight! They then hype tonight's card which will see ECW Champion Steve Corino in non-Title action against his former "mentor" "Macho Man" Randy Savage! That one's gonna be ugly!Just then "You're the Best Around" by Joe Esposito hits and after a two week absence; the Inter-Promotional Champion Chris Jericho explodes out of the back with his Title in hand! Jericho says that some of us might have noticed, no of course we ALL noticed the fact everyone's hero, "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" wasn't here. Tonight he's going to show us why. Why we should all be angry. At the man called... well actually Chris never got a look at his face. But he'll show you exactly what took place two weeks ago while defending the I-P Title down in Mexico in that rat-infested promotion known as AAA!We then see the AAA match in question. Both Cien Caras and Chris Jericho are introduced, followed by clips of their match including scenes of Jericho getting caught in an inverted bearhug and Chris locking in the elevated Boston Crab! The two men are fighting back and forth when suddenly ominous music begins playing and a voice calls out his name, distracting Chris who turns toward the ramp only to be caught in a full nelson by Cien Caras! Jericho just manages to fight his way out, but he's pissed and accuses Caras and the promotion of attempting to steal his Title! He rolls out of the ring and grabbing the belt heads up the ramp, continuing with his accusations. We then are brought back to the ring where Chris Jericho tells us that AAA are obviously a bunch of cheats and that he can no longer just go defending this, the most prestigious Title in wrestling; just anywhere. He has to fight where he's safe from such underhanded tactics. Which is why from now on he'll be defending the Inter-Promotional Title right here on ECW television! And just to prove he can defeat that has-been from Lagos de Morons; in two weeks in this very ring he'll be facing off in a rematch against Cien Caras!
Joel Gertner makes the intros for the first match of the night.Hardcore Tag-Team Match: Destruction Inc. vs. Dustin Rhodes & Tommy Dreamer Referee S.D. Jones officiates with Tommy Dreamer starting things off against Mongo Vyle. The two men brawl back and forth with Dreamer getting a two count after hitting a DDT and "The Machiavellan Mauler" getting a near three with the Mongo Masher sitout full nelson atomic drop. This sends "The Innovator of Violence" looking for his corner where he tags in Dustin Rhodes who slugs it out with Mongo until he sets him up in the corner and kicks Vyle in the crotch. When he's able to, "The Mauler" tags out to Rhino who squares off with Dustin, whom he hits with a gutwrench suplex for a two count. Rhino then sets up a table and attempts to suplex Dustin through it!
Rhodes battles back however and reverses hitting a suplex of his own followed by a legdrop that gets him a two count of his own. Rhino rallies back however and the match spills outside when "The Ma-Beast" hits Dustin with a Gore striking spear that sends him through the ropes and down to the floor below where he and Mongo Vyle nail Dustin with their Death Drop flapjack/cutter combo! Destruction Inc. looks to have things well in hand when suddenly Tommy Dreamer attacks them from behind with a baseball bat!
He wails on them both giving Dustin the chance to recover and roll Rhino into the ring where he hits a bulldog for a two. Meanwhile on the outside Vyle has had enough and reaching into his pocket he slips on a pair of brass knuckles! When Tommy swings the bat again, Vyle catches it and decks Dreamer busting him open! He begins pounding away on Tommy while instead the ring Dustin Rhodes has gotten the better of Rhino whom he has up on the top turnbuckle and superplexes him through the table! Rhodes looks just as battered as Rhino by the move, but he makes the cover and picks up the win. After the break ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels is with "The Superstar" Scott Taylor in front of the ECW banner. He says he doesn't blame Dick Murdoch for being jealous of him. He's young, agile, has got the Superstar good looks; and is in the prime of his life. It only makes sense. But "Captain Redneck" has been a thorn in his side for way too long now, attacking him backstage, interfering in his matches; especially his match with Steve Corino. He made him fail his good friend "The Enforcer." And while Taylor won't delight in ending Murdoch's career tonight; he'll definitely be glad to be getting some payback.Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Brickhouse Brown Brickhouse Brown looks to have this match won when he nails Jeff Hardy with a swinging neckbreaker. Jeff however kicks back just before the three and mounts a comeback before hitting the Senton Bomb off the top for the three count and a minor upset from Danny Davis.Match: Erin O'Grady vs. Doink the Clown After "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady tosses his coins to the crowd and Doink the Clown heads down to the ring with ECW Women's Champ Luna Vachon, referee S.D. Jones gets the match underway. There's good back and forth with Erin getting a two count twice, once off a roll-up and another after hitting The Clown with his Lucky Charm lifting double underhook implant DDT; but Doink shows surprising resilience when he kicks out at two. Doink himself gets a two count after hitting O'Grady with a powerbomb. The end comes when Luna distracts the ref while Doink the Clown removes his shoe and introduces Erin O'Grady to the "Heel Turn" as he belts him across the face with it for the pin. After the match Sir William Regal's music plays and he makes his way down to the ring where he tells Doink that he's glad to see he's up to his old tricks here tonight. That there match next week could very well be the end of Regal's "joke of a career." And that seeing Doink's actions here tonight made it even easier for ECW President Eric Bischoff to grant Sir William's request. That next week at the Nassau Coliseum, William Regal will get to wipe that silly grin off his face literally. Because their Career vs. Mask match? It'll be taking place in a Steel Cage!
Neither Doink or Luna seem to like this news at all and Regal smiles triumphantly. William turns to leave when The Clown grabs him by the arm and surprises him by extending his hand! Regal seems suspicious; but takes it. And gets electrocuted! Doink the Clown laughs maniacally and doesn't let go of William Regal's hand as he convulses in the ring and finally collapses in a heap on the floor! Doink the pantomimes an "oops" before holding out his hand to the crowd revealing a joy buzzer!"Mean" Gene and Lanny welcome us back from the break before reminding us that next week's edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling will be coming to us live from the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. They say that while tickets for that show are sold out, those folks stuck at home should be sure to join us on ECW's home station of TNN The Nashville Network! They then hype the next match a bit before sending us to ECW correspondent Terri Runnels who is with "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch. Murdoch tells Terri that the westling business is his life. As a kid he watched his daddy Frank Murdoch battle Dory Funk all over Texas. Dick himself got his own start back in '65 and he's teamed and fought with the greats. Dusty Rhodes as "The Texas Outlaws, Adrian Adonis in the WWF, Ivan Koloff in the NWA, Dick Slater in WCW; and of course the Junkyard Dog back in Mid-South and then here in ECW. Held the Tag-Team Championships damn near everywhere he went, the Heavyweight Title three times. You could say wrestling is all ol' "Captain Redneck" knows how to do. And he knows he's getting a bit old to keep this up; but he'll be damned if some punk kid from Westbrook, Maine puts an end to his career in a Texas Bullrope match. So Taylor? Better get ready for a trim.Texas Bullrope Career vs. Hair: Dick Murdoch vs. Scott Taylor Danny Davis ties the two men's hands together and Scott Taylor immediately catches Dick Murdoch off guard when he chokes up on the rope, grabs the cowbell and clobbers him with it! He beats Dick back into the ropes, but Murdoch counters by throwing Taylor into the ropes and choking him out on the top rope. Letting go he begins beating on the young man and hits him with an elbow drop. Staying down on the floor he takes the cowbell and batter Scott with it; busting "The Superstar" open! He then gets up and heads to the corner and tags it. He heads toward the second, but Scott Taylor kip-ups and catches Dick with a superkick!
He knocks Murdoch's head clean off and heads toward the corner tagging his first before getting jerked across the ring by "Captain Redneck!" He hits the floor and the two and Dick yanks him up to his feet with the rope. The two men begin brawling about the ring with Dick hitting a bionic elbow and Taylor knocking Murdoch into the ropes with a dropkick. Tightening his hold on the rope Scott jumps to the floor taking Dick down with him and climbing on top of "Redneck" begins choking him out with the rope! Dick clutches at his throat and in real trouble stumbles to his feet. In desperation he pushes Taylor toward the ropes and both men end up spilling out of the ring!
Back up Dick Murdoch hits lifts Scott to his feet and hammers his head against the guardrail several times before Scott blocks it and sends Dick face first into the steel with a side Russian legsweep! As Taylor pulls Murdoch up to his feet we see that Dick is now wearing a crimson mask as well as he is rolled back into the ring. But the crafty veteran keeping rolling and pulls Scott Taylor by the arm straight into the ring apron! Scott is screaming in pain as he is pulled against the side of the ring, but he manages to get back inside where Murdoch pounces on him with a knee drop! The "Captain" then heads to the second corner and hits it. Two more to go for Murdoch! He goes for the third but Taylor is back up and sprints across the ring to hit a running bulldog on Dick Murdoch! He then climbs up top hitting his second turnbuckle in the process and leaps off connecting with the high-impact chop drop! Dick hits the ground hard and Scott Taylor celebrates a little before heading across the ring and hitting his third turnbuckle.
He heads for the last one and seems to have the match in hand when the rope snags! Dick is still down on the floor, but the rope isn't long enough! Scott looks to drag Murdoch, but he's pretty heavy and give the young "Superstar" some trouble before coming alive and delivering alot of trouble with a thumb to the eye! Taylor staggers back as Dick Murdoch gets to his feet swinging and grabbing Scott Taylor by the head lays him out with the brainbuster! Close to the corner now Dick tags the third corner and heads for the fourth. Scott begins to stir, but Dick Murdoch already has it; hitting the fourth corner and winning the match!
Seeing that he's lost Scott Taylor attempts to back away while an evil grin appears on Dick Murdoch's face as he gets the scissors off Joel Gertner. Taylor tries to escape, but he's still tied to "Captain Redneck" who gives the rope a good yank pulling Scott towards him! "The Superstar" then tries to struggle with Murdoch, but Junkyard Dog arrives on the scene! He grabs Taylor and holds him down while Dick gets to use his barber skills.Match: Debbie Combs vs. Tiffany "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs and Tiffany have a fast-paced match with several nearfalls by both women before Combs hits Tiffany with a swinging neckbreaker and gets her hand held high by referee S.D. Jones.Match: Christian Cage vs. Steve Blackman Christian Cage does his best, but it isn't enough and he gets physically dissected by "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman who takes him out with the Guillotine Choke before getting his hand raised in victory by his motormouth manager Steve Blackman and referee Danny Davis. After the match "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson appears on the ramp and heads down to the ring. He says that back in December he did what many of his critics claimed Arn Anderson could never do. He won the big won. And he walked out of Madison Square Garden the Eastern Heavyweight Champion. And for 7 long months he not only defended the Title, but the ECW fans have had his back and supported him. And he thanks them for that. Now two weeks ago. The Title changed hands. Simple as that. But what wasn't simple was the way in which it was won. Over the past few weeks he's tried to be philosophical about it. And AA didn't come out here to cry about it. But one thing he has been having trouble thinking about is the thought of that sneaky little bastard Steve Corino holding the Title that rightfully belongs around the waist of "The Enforcer." It's something Anderson just won't abide. And next week at Nassau Coliseum ol' AA promises to rip "The Savior of Sea Isle City" a new one. You can bet on that.Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's Main Event. Over the past year "Macho Man" Randy Savage has used Steve Corino as his "protegee" in an effort to irritate then ECW Champion "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Recently Corino seemed to have earned Savage's trust and respect, only to have him betray Randy just two weeks ago. In a Handicap Match for the ECW Title Randy Savage had the Champ Arn Anderson beat dead to rights, when Steve Corino clobbered the "Macho Man" with the ECW Championship! With Randy down and out, Steve Corino made the cover and pinned Arn Anderson himself; becoming the new Eastern Heavyweight Champ. Tonight isn't about Championship Gold. Tonight Randy Savage is out for blood.
Gertner: The following is a non-Title match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Sarasota, Floria weighing in at 237 lbs. and accompanied to the ring by "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs; he is the "Macho Man" Randy Savage!Pomp and Circumstance plays as Savage emerges from the back, forgetting his hat and jacket tonight with Debbie and heads down to the ring where he paces about a nervous S.D. Jones. His head is still bandaged.
Gertner: And now introducing at this time weighing in at 222 lbs. from Sea Isle City, New Jersey; he is the Eastern Heavyweight Champion; Steve Corino!"Fire " by Scooter plays as Steve Corino heads out to the ring with the ECW Title over his shoulder. He seems to have fogotten something too. Because he is only wearing one boot. He's dangling the other from his right hand and has a microphone in his left hand. Savage looks confused. (he might not be if he remembered what he did to Corino on 2/29 )
Steve Corino then aplogizes to Randy. Not for winning the ECW Title. That felt real good. No. What Corino is sorry about is the fact he cannot compete tonight. Because he has a rock in his boot. He holds the boot up in the air, turns it over; and a rock falls out and hits the floor.
At that very moment two men spring from the audience with steel chairs in their hands and rush the ring! Before "Macho Man" knows what's hit him he's become a victim of a Con-chair-to double steel chair shot to the head! Randy doesn't go down however and instead spins around and finds a huge man waiting for him. The big man grabs Randy and hoists him into the air and nails him with a powerbomb flattening him! By now Steve Corino is in the ring and the first two men lower their hoodies to reveal the faces of Matt and Jeff Hardy!Corino points to the belt and shouts that he's the ECW Champion! Like a pack of vultures all four men stomp the hell out of the "Macho Man" busting his head wide open again in the process. Debbie Combs just looks on from ringside in horror as the...

7/25/95 - Nassau Coliseum Uniondale, NY"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York for another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling! The recap last week's show including Dustin Rhodes & Tommy Dreamer's win over Destruction Inc., Dick Murdoch winning the Career vs. Hair match getting to chop of Scott Taylor's hair; and of course the heinous finale. While they talk about it a video replays the brutal assault on the "Macho Man" Randy Savage by Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy who are apparently working with the ECW Champion Steve Corino. We see Savage hit with the Con-chair-to double chairshot to the head that sends him into the waiting arms of the mystery man who powerbombs him into the canvas. Finally we see Steve Corino join in as all four men puts the boots to "Macho Man." We then learn what we didn't see. After the show went off air the entire locker room spilled out and broke up the assault, allowing medics to take Randy Savage out on a stretcher! We're then informed that Savage is still in the hospital recovering from his injuries and it isn't certain when he'll be back. To which Lanny says good riddance! Gene says that while he has... well never seen eye to eye with the "Macho Man;" that that type of brutality is never excusable. No matter who it's wrought upon. He wishes Savage and his family the best as "Fire" by Scooter hits!Steve Corino comes out cockily heading down to the ring with the ECW Championship draped over one shoulder. He has the Hardy Boyz and the big man with him. Inside the ring he tells the booing audience to shut up. He's tired of hearing the same complaint over and over again. The same question ad nauseum? Why Steve? Why? Well he's going to tell you why. Because he can! You see this ECW Title means that Corino isn't just some lowly peasant on the food chain. He isn't no one's valet. He isn't their coat rack. He's the ECW Champion and he's going to fight whoever he damn well pleases. And frankly? Randy Savage is beneath him. Which he proved last week when he grinded his boot into his damned skull. Now tonight he's got another fight. This time against "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson.
The fans cheer and Steve tells them to keep cheering their hero AA. Because in all honesty; he's beneath him too. The fans boo and he tells them that it's okay to boo. It's okay because they don't understand what he's talking about. Because they're a bunch of no-nothing marks. You see Steve Corino isn't saying that Arn Anderson and Randy Savage were never on his level. Sure, they once were. He'll admit that. Back in the 80s both men were forces to be reckoned with. But now? Pulease. Washed-up and out of shape doesn't begin to scratch the surface. Steve Corino however is the future of wrestling. Hell you might as well start calling him "Mr. Wrestling;" because they're gonna see him dominate this sport for the next twenty years easy.
In fact what you're looking at in this ring right now, these four men? They're the future of the industry. Back in the day you had Arn Anderson's pals Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard and Ole what's his name. They were the start, the beta version if you will. But today what's standing before you is a cut above, a step toward the future, the Omega. The next generation of Horsemen are here to rule this business. And it all started three weeks ago when "Mr. Wrestling" himself, Steve Corino became the Eastern Heavyweight Champion. Last week we showed you what we are about. Taking out the trash. The men standing before you today. The Hardy Boyz, Jason Venom; and ECW Champion Steve Corino put an end to that fossila Randy Savage's career. And we're prepared to do the same to whoever steps in our way.Joe Gertner then makes the intros for the first match of the night.Women's Title Match: Luna Vachon vs. Ivory "Mad Dog" Luna Vachon comes down to ringside with Doink the Clown in tow. She poses with the Women's Championship before handing it over to referee Danny Davis. Once Ivory is in he starts the match. Both are tough competitors and they brawl about the ring with Ivory getting a nearfall with after hitting Vachon with a German suplex. She dominates Luna for a while before the crafty Champ rakes the challengers eyes and lays her out with a Tornado DDT for a two count. From there she hits Ivory with a springboard bulldog and a gutwrench suplex, making the cover both times; but Ivory keeps in the fight and rallies back! The two women are on even footing for a while, but Ivory eventually begins getting the better of the Champ and tosses her down to the mat with a Frankensteiner off the top which she follows up with a diving crossbody as Luna gets up to her feet! 1!... 2!... Vachon kicks out! Luna attempts to make a comeback to no avail as Ivory keeps right on top of her, when Doink the Clown tosses his shoe into the ring and leaps up on the apron to harrass Danny Davis! While his back is turned a desperate Luna Vachon comes alive and takes Ivory down to the mat before picking up the shoe and using the "Heel Turn!" Ivory however blocks it by snatching the shoe from the Champ and in turn lets her have it! She looks a bit embarrassed realizing what she did and turns toward Davis who's still distracted. Shrugging, Ivory kicks the shoe from the ring and makes the cover! Davis tired of Doink's shenanigans meanwhile has pushed The Clown down from the apron and returning to the match makes the count! Ivory is the new Women's Champion! As Ivory leads with the belt, Doink the Clown hurries to Vachon's side in a panic.Match: Matt Hardy vs. Buck Zumhoff w/ Tiffany Matt Hardy gives the Light Heavyweight Champion Buck Zumhoff a tough fight while on the outside his brother Jeff Hardy attempts to distract the "Rock 'N Roller" and referee S.D. Jones. Tiffany who's in Buck's corner presents a bigger one, making like she's going to lift her top while Matt is about to hit the Twist of Fate cutter. Hardy seems to want a look, which give Zumhoff the opening he needs to push Matt off him and hit the "Rocking and Rolling" springboard DDT! He makes the cover and picks up the win. This pisses off both Hardy Boyz who confer on the outside while Buck and brings Tiffany into the ring and gives her a twirl as they begin to dance for the crowd. The Hardyz rush into the ring and begin battering on Zumhoff, pushing Tiffany away when she attempts to interfere! They put the boots to him when suddenly on the ramp Sexton Hardcastle and Joe E. Legend appear! The two men sprint down to the ring and battle the Hardyz, who caught off-guard are cleared from the ring. Legend and Hardcastle then help Buck to his feet getting a huge pop from the crowd.Tag-Team Match: The Lawlers vs. Brickhouse Brown & Butch Reed "The Doctor of Style" Slick is at ringside doing his best to give his men the advantage, at one point tripping Brian Lawler up killing his momentum and allowing for Butch Reed to take his head off with a clothesline that gets him a near three. The teams are pretty even up until then, but when Brian makes the hot tag to his father Jerry Lawler after gettin cut off for a while, "The King" comes in all fired up and after failing to put "Hacksaw" away with the Flying Fist Drop; he later succeeds in putting Brickhouse Brown down with the Piledriver. Davis makes the count. After the match we're taken backstage where Sir William Regal approaches ECW President Eric Bischoff whom he says he wants out there at ringside tonight. When Eric asks why, Regal tells him that when he wins his match tonight; he thinks Bischoff is going to be really amused by what he sees."Mean" Gene and Lanny welcome us back from the break before reminding us that next week Eastern Championship Wrestling will coming to us live from the Ross Sports Center in Winooski Park, Vermont which Poffo laments is way to close to Vermont for his liking. They tell us that while some tickets are still available for the show, those folks not in the area should be sure to tune in right here on ECW's home station TNN The Nashville Network to catch all the action live!
The duo then hype the next match which could very well be Sir William Regal's last match ever as he puts his career on the line against the mask of Doink the Clown. Lanny is scared at the thought of Regal winning, claiming seeing Doink the Clown's face is just unnatural. It'd be like staring into Nietzsche's proverbial abyss. Okerlund has no idea what he's talking about, to which Lanny retorts of course he doesn't. It's not like he's a "Genius" or anything. They then talk about the events leading to this match from Doink the Clown putting his hands on Beulah McGillicutty angering Regal to last week's attack on Sir William with a joy buzzer. Poffo then says he's noticed Beulah wasn't with Regal during his last few appearances. Typical of women he claims, they vanish at the first sign of trouble. Just like his ex-wife. "Mean" Gene says if that were true, Lanny's relationship would've ended when he first said hello.Steel Cage Career vs. Mask Match: William Regal vs. Doink the Clown Luna Vachon is stuck outside the cage for this match which showcases the brutality both these men have shown on occasion. Doink the Clown surprises Sir William Regal immediately going on the offensive the second S.D. Jones starts the match. He dominates Regal for a while often using the cage wall and attempts to put him away early with a bridged German Suplex which only gets him a two count. He keeps on top of William until after an Irish whip, Regal counters with an exploder suplex on the rebound that sends Doink sailing back first into the cage! Lifting The Clown into a seated position Regal hammers him in the head and takes over the match, working over Doink's neck with a variety of moves including a neckbreaker over his knee and a rear chinlock. He then hits Doink with a suplex and instead of going for the cover, surprises the crowd by removing The Clown's shoes which he proceeds to theatrically toss over the cage! He then lifts Doink up to his feet and begins wailing on his back and head before going for another suplex, but his opponent counters by dropping to one knee and delivering a low blow! Regal is in trouble as Doink regains control of the match, nailing Regal with the Whoopie Cushion seat senton which busts him open! Doink makes the cover! 1!... 2!..
Regal kicks out! Doink attempts to keep on top of William, but the man from Blackpool refuses to stay down and fights his way first up to one knee and then back up to his feet! The two men begin going punch for punch in the middle of the ring as the brawl continues. The fight goes back and forth with Doink using his running powerbomb to the corner which busts open the back of Regal's head too as he hits the cage! This only gets The Clown another two count. Regal meanwhile gets nearfalls after hitting a bridged German suplex of his own, a Knee Trembler running knee lift to Doink's head; and once just beating on Doink so bad that he breaks The Clown's face open! There's a good deal of blood in the ring as the two men grapple about the ring looking like they're on the verge of killing one another; when Sir William Regal tears Doink the Clown down to the mat and locks in the Regal Stretch arm trapped cross-legged STF! Doink reaches for the ropes but it's no use as Sir William puts on enough pressure to damn near tear his head off and the Clown taps out foreiting the match!
After the match ends Doink attempts to crawl away, but Regal is right on top of him and grabbing The Clown in a headlock nods to Eric Bischoff on the outside as he pulls the mask off to reveal... "Maniac" Matt Borne! Outside the ring ECW President Eric Bischoff looks shocked and pissed as he climbs into the cage while the announcers remind us that back on December 1st at Wrestle Annual Matt Borne lost a Loser Leaves Town match to "Iron" Mike Sharpe and that according the the rules of the match "The Maniac" was fired from ECW. It appears however that since that time he has been parading around as Doink the Clown, probably having a good laugh at Eric's expense both literally and figuratively the entire time! Regal still holding his squirming opponent down in a headlock while Bischoff microphone in hands growls at Matt Borne that once again... he's fired! A really tough night for Luna Vachon who's still on the outside, she goes nuts screaming and banging on the cage.Match: Masato Tanaka vs. Junkyard Dog Mr. Fuji comes down to ringside with his charge Masato Tanaka as he goes toe to toe with the Junkyard Dog. The Dog looks good early on slugging it out with Tanaka whom he sends reeling across the ring with a headbutt. When he grabs Masato and chokes him out against the ropes however, Mr. Fuji tosses salt into JYD's eyes . Davis sees nothing as Masato Tanaka takes full control of the match, dominating Junkyard Dog until he nails him with the Complete Dust sitout side powerslam for the pinfall. Fuji looks very pleased. We then cut to the office of ECW President Eric Bischoff who is laughing it up about his time in Mexico with the Inter-Promotional Champion Chris Jericho! Removing his feet from Eric's desk, "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" leans forward and tells Eric that he's serious though. He thinks there's someone after him and wants Eric's assurance that he'll do everything in his power to keep Jericho safe. Bischoff says that he's already had to tighten up security because he doesn't trust Steve Corino has far as he can throw him; so he doubts there'll be much of a problem. Chris thanks Eric and heads out the door, but it refuses to open! Someone seems to be holding it closed from the outside. And in after giving it several tugs to no avail, Jericho begins pounding on it! Bischoff looks a bit concerned and gets up to help. Chris meanwhile walks away from the door in a huff and running back kicks it. Eric tells him to calm down and tries the door again. And it opens. Chris immediately hurries to the door and looks down the hallway in both directions, bewildered by the fact no one's there. Jericho turns toward Eric and tells him there was someone there and Eric tells Chris he believes him.Match: Devon Hughes vs. Cousin Jamie This match has some good back and forth early on with Cousin Jamie making a pin attempt after hitting Hughes with a diving legdrop. Devon kicks out before two however and goes on to rallies back, pummeling Jamie before whipping him across the ring and hitting the 360 degree corkscrew back elbow smash! From there Devon Hughes dominates Cousin Jamie before hitting him with a pump-handle slam; and making the cover picks up the win from referee S.D. Jones. Testify!Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening. They then hype tonight's Main Event; which needs very little hyping in fact as ECW Champion Steve Corino will be facing off against the very man he won the belt from just three weeks ago; "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson who is looking to reclaim the belt he held for the past seven months.
Gertner: The following contest is for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship and can only be won via Pinfall or Submission. Introducing first the challenger hailing from Rome, Georgia weighing 255 lbs.; he is "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson!
Anderson is all business as he heads down to the ring and shakes hands with referee Danny Davis. "Fire" by Scooter hits as Steve Corino appears on the ramp with the ECW Championship draped over one shoulder. The fans begin to boo. After several seconds the rest of the Omega Horsemen; The Hardy Boyz and Jason Venom come out to join him and together they head down to the ring.
Gertner: And now introducing at this time from Sea Isle City, New Jersey weighing 222 lbs. and accompanied to the ring by the Omega Horsemen; he is the ECW Champion "Mr. Wrestling" Steve Corino!ECW Title Match: Steve Corino vs. Arn Anderson Danny Davis isn't having it however and getting a bit of an argument from them sends Corino's friends to the back, receiving a huge pop from the audience. Steve Corino himself just shrugs and Arn Anderson clubs him across the face as Davis begins the match! He batters Corino across the ring and into the ropes where he Irish whips him across the ring. On the rebound however Steve counters with a sliding lariat! With Anderson down Corino gets up to his feet and hits an elbow drop. He attempts to keep Anderson down by grabbing him in a headlock and punching him, but Anderson fights to one knee and pushes Steve away! Corino rushes right back and eats a fist before AA scoops him up for a spinning side slam. He then grabs Steve's legs looking for the figure four, but Corino kicks him away. Leaping up to his feet Steve Corino crages in and hits Anderson with a running forearm smash! The two men begin brawling about the ring, occasionally trading holds until Corino angers Davis by choking Arn out against the bottom rope with his knee to the back of AA's head. He relents however and begins taunting the crowd which gives Arn Anderson enough time to get up and nail him with an atomic drop before making the cover! 1!... 2!..
Corino kicks out and "The Enforcer keeps on top of him, trapping "Mr. Wrestling" in a side headlock. He works over his neck for a bit before taking Corino down to the mat with a snapmare and puts him in a sleeper. Steve looks to be in real trouble, but rallies back fighting his way up to his feet and grabbing Arn by the head runs toward the ropes and attempts to pull a Randy Savage with a hairpull hangman! But Arn blocks it and using Steve's momentum against him throws him from the ring and he hits the guardrail, cushioning the blow with his arm a bit before breaking his face open with the steel! Climbing out onto the apron Arn Anderson waits for a dazed Steve Corino to hobble to his feet and leaping off nails "Mr. Wrestling" with a diving clothesline! He then puts the boots to Steve for a bit before pulling him to his feet and returns him to the ground with a suplex! Steve seems out of it and Davis is at a 7 count, so Arn rolls the Champ back into the ring where he makes the cover. 1!... 2!.. Corino kicks out! Back up Anderson stomps his opponent and would have continued to do so had Steve not rolled out of the way and began pleading with "The Enforcer" while backing away on his knees. Arn isn't one for mercy however and following Corino into the corner begins beating him in the head before throwing him up into the corner. Climbing the second rope he begins hammering on Steve as the fans count along. Steve Corino is a bloody mess when Arn pulls him up onto the top turnbuckle and looks to be setting him up for a superplex! But Steve blocks it and throwing a few punches that off-balances Arn, throws him down to the mat. Climbing up top Steve Corino mocks the "Macho Man" and goes airborne! He hits the Savage Elbow and makes the cover! 1!... 2!....
AA kicks out! Steve is obviously reeling from the beating Arn gave him as he gets up to his feet and stalks Arn Anderson who gets to his feet just in time to catch a Super Kick! With his hands! Arn dodges the blow and pulling Corino in grabs him and delivers a suplex! He tosses Corino who hits the mat hard, but has enough sense to roll his ass out of the ring. "The Enforcer" follows him as Steve looks to make his escape and cathcing Steve by the hair hurls him into the steel barricade which he falls over. Arn looks to follow getting one leg over when Corino pops up and begins wailing on him. Climbing up onto the guardrail himself the Champ cracks Arn in the skull with a jumping bionic elbow. When Corino lands however, he slips and both men fall back into the ringside area. Both men find their way to their feet and begin slugging it out again, but Steve catches AA off-guard with a knee strike to the gut which he follows up by whipping him into the side of the ring! Grabbing Arn he slams his head into the apron before rolling him back inside. Steve then goes back toward the guardrail and helps himself to one fan's chair!
He brings it into the ring and Danny Davis grabs it as Arn Anderson begins to get back up; but Corino pushes Davis out of his way and in full view of the ref he cracks "The Enforcer" over the head with the steel chair! Arn staggers back and Steve hits him again knocking him to the floor where he hits his opponent again finally drawing a DQ from the ref. Dropping to his knees Steve Corino rolls out of the ring and grabs the ECW Title as The Hardy Boyz and Jason Venom show back up. Matt and Jeff help Steve limp around and they look toward the ring where Arn Anderson has sat up. There seems to be some discussion amongst the Omega Horsemen about attacking him, but Steve Corino shakes his head and they head to the back while Davis goes to raise Arn's hand in victory. "The Enforcer" doesn't want his hand raised however. He's pissed and just stares at Corino and company in contempt as the...
