10/20/95Mike Tenay and Larry Zbyszko open the show. The giant Tokyo Dome crowd chants “Larry, Larry, Larry!” and Zbyszko acknowledges the cheers.
Tenay, “You know, you just might make Emperor.”
Zbyszko, “These are wise people in Japan, wise people!”
Tenay, “Welcome to ‘King’s Coronation’! To say we have a great night of wrestling for you is an understatement. Let’s go to the ring for Shohei Baba and Tommy Watanabe.”
Baba and Watanabe are in the ring. Baba speaks and Watanabe translates.
Baba, “Welcome to the Tokyo Dome. All Japan is happy to be working with American Championship Wrestling. We now have the top wrestlers in Japan and the United States working together. We have an exciting night of wrestling action. This will be a night to remember. Mr. Watanabe, begin the introductions.”
Tommy Watanabe does the announcements in English and Japanese.
Opening Match
Yoshinari Ogawa vs. Tiger KingThe young Ogawa and the veteran Tiger King match each other hold for hold. Both men have their chances, but the end comes with Ogawa using the back bridging suplex for the win.

The New Samoans w/Afa vs. Kamala and Kamala IIThis is a brawl from the opening bell. Sionne gets the early edge by pounding away at Kamala II. He tags in Fatu and the young Samoan goes to work. The tide begins to turn when Kamala tags in. He slams Fatu and lands the big splash for the win.

Jun Akiyama vs. Shinjiro Ohtani w/Sonny OnooSonny Onoo accompanies Ohtani to the ring. Wippleman does not appear. There is something going on. These two have had many great matches with the results very even. This one will be good. The match is dead even and the crowd at the Tokyo Dome reacts to every move. Sonny Onoo shouts instructions and struts around ringside. Ohtani has his moments, but Akiyama is too much. He lands the Blue Thunder driver for the win.

Williams, “With me is ‘Dr. Death’. Doc, welcome back.”
Williams, “Thank you Lee. It’s been three long months and I’ve worked hard and I’m in the best shape of my life. I’m back and I want my title back! Hansen, windham, one of you comes out of tonight’s match, and when you do, I’m waiting! I lost that title, but I’m ready to take it back! You have to deal with me!”
Marshall, “You meet ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan tonight. You two have a long history.”
Williams, “Duggan is tough, we all know that. I don’t take him lightly, but nobody’s stopping me! Take that to the bank!”
Marshall, “Let’s go to the ring for a match that the ‘Big Cowboy’, Bill Watts, would love!”

Steve “Dr. Death” Williams vs. “Hacksaw” Jim DugganTwo Mid-South legends go at it in this one. The first few minutes are a slugfest. Duggan stands toe to toe with the Oklahoma Sooner. Williams looks sharp after the time off. He slowly takes over. Williams pounds away and Duggan tries to fight back, but to no avail. Doc scoops him up and hits the Oklahoma Stampede and covers Duggan. Referee Chad Patton counts the fall. Steve Williams is back!

WWWA Championship
Akira Hokuto (Champion) vs. Aja KongThese two have traded the coveted the title back and forth for a few years now. The Tokyo crowd is on their feet for this one. The larger Kong charges Hokuto at the bell. She pounds away and the Champion is in early trouble. Hokuto summons all her available strength to fight back and now Kong is backing up. Hokuto whips the massive Kong into the ropes and hits a clothesline. Aja is down and Hokuto goes for the cover. Referee Jack Doane’s count only reaches two. The battle continues until Hokuto hits the Northern Lights bomb for the win. The crowd loves the action.

American Television Championship
Wolf Hawkfield (Champion) vs. The PatriotThis should be a fast paced scientific encounter. The match begins with a handshake. Both men trade holds and counter holds. Both men have their chances. The Patriot hits the Patriot missile and covers Hawkfield. Referee Teddy Long counts two, but does not hit three. Hawkfield rallies and hits the Cyberspear for the win. Both men shake hands after the match.

Marsahll, “With me is the man from the Rocky Mountains, the man called Vader. Mr. Vader, Dan Severn has been a thorn in your side.”
Vader, “Thorn in my side, that’s what you call him! He’s a big tough animal, but so am I! Vader backs down from no man and I will destroy Severn! Tonight!”
Marshall, “Let’s go to Larry Zbyszko, who is with Dan Severn.”
Zbyszko is with Severn.
Zbyszko, “Severn, you heard Vader. That’s one angry mastodon.”
Severn, “Let me talk, let him yell. I know what he’s like and I know how good he is. I told people I came to ACW to wrestle the best, and Vader’s the best. It’s time for me to take his place.”
Zbyszko, “Two men ready for action.”
Match #7
Vader vs. Dan SevernTwo big men go at it in the one. Severn probably has more wrestling skill, but the man from the Rocky Mountains is a monster. The early moments belong to Severn. He actually out wrestles Vader and the man in red and black quickly becomes frustrated. He fights back with powerful rights and lefts. Severn is retreating. He makes a final stand in the corner, but Vader scoops him up and slams him to the mat. He then hits the Vader bomb for the win. Vader grabs the ring mike from Tommy Watanabe.
Vader, “Kawada, Finlay! One of you will win tonight, but you won’t get a prize, you’ll get me! I challenge the winner of tonight’s match!”

Unified Tag Team Championship
The Can-Am Express (Champions) vs. Bob Orton and Kendall WindhamThis match became a title match when the Can-Am Express from the Holy Demon Army. This could be the chance of a lifetime for the veteran team of Windham and Orton. The Champions are very sharp. Windham and Orton pull out all the dirty tricks, but it’s not enough. Furnas lands the powerslam on Orton for the win.
Winners-The Can-Am ExpressMarshall is with Tommy Watanabe.
Marshall, “Tommy, we have a tag team match coming up. Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi take on Joe Gomez and Gary Albright. Misawa and Kobashi have been on a few ACW shots, but the fans are about to get a good look at them.”
Watanabe, “Yes they are Legend. Misawa and Kobashi are both two of the top five, or six wrestlers in Japan, or the world for that matter. As a team, they rival the Holy Demon Army, or any team in the world. This will be a treat for the fans.”
Marshall, “There are two major tag team titles in ACW and All Japan, not to mention several individual titles. These two men are top contenders for all those titles.”
Match #9
Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta Kobashi vs. “Desperado” Joe Gomez and Gary AlbrightMisawa and Kobashi are sharp. The take the fight to their opponents. Both men get in their shots. Misawa hits the Rolling Elbow on Gomez and follows that with a Tiger Driver for the win. These two have announced their arrival in ACW.
Winners-Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta KobashiMarshall is with Inspector Wippleman and Sonny Onoo.
Marshall, “With me are two men, who I believe still work together. Inspector, what’s going on?”
Wippleman, “Marshall, you just want to start trouble! I’ve got too much on my mind. The Quebecers are up next and they will destroy those masked goons, then later tonight Toshiaki Kawada will wear the ‘Crown of the King’. Sonny and I are working together, 100%.”
Onoo, “Inspector right, we on same page. I have great tag team, Pacific Cyclones, they best tag team in world, maybe they prove it by winning title, not from Quebecers, of course. They have big trouble with Pearls. Inspector need my help, I give him advice.”
Wipplman, “What advice could you give me? You little runt.”
Wippleman and Onoo bicker back and forth.
Marshall, “Did I hear what I thought I heard? Harvey Wippleman called someone a ‘runt’, of well, the American Tag Team Titles are up for grabs next.”
Match #10
American Tag Team Championship
The Quebecers (Champions) w/Inspector Wippleman and Sonny Onoo vs. The Pearls of the OrientWippleman and Onoo appear to have patched things up for this important match. The match begins with Jacques and Ultimo Dragon in the ring. Jacques holds his own, but the talented masked man takes over. The Quebecers are in early trouble. Jacques tags in the larger Pierre and he tries to overpower both Dragon and Lyger. The momentum swings again and the masked men pick up the pace. The match turns into a brawl until Dragon hits the Asai moonsault on Jacques. Referee Chad Patton counts 1…2…3! We have new American Tag Team Champions. Wippleman is in shock, but Onoo appears somewhat happy.
Winners-The Pearls of the Orient (New American Tag Team Champions)Lee Marshall is seated in front of a “Winter Storm Warning” banner.
Marshall, “Wow! What a tag team match! The Pearls of the Orient are the new champions and what champions they will be! I don’t know how Inspector Wippleman will deal with this. We still have three big matches remaining, but it’s time to talk about our next big Pay per View. ACW will be in Albany, New York, at the beautiful Knickerbocker Arena, on January 27. We will present “Winter Storm Warning’, stay tuned to ACW for more information. Now let’s go back to the ring.

The Pacific Cyclones vs. Manukea Mossman and Taka MichinokuOnce again, Sonny Onoo seems very pleased as he brings his high flying tag team to the ring. The young team of Mossman and TAKA will be a good test. Onoo’s masked team is very impressive. They tag in and out and their young opponents are overwhelmed. Gran Naniwa uses the Clutch de Naniwa to force Michinoku to submit.
Winners-The Pacific CyclonesLarry Zbyszko is with Barry Windham.
Zbyszko, “With me is Barry Windham. Listen Windham, in a few minutes you take on Stan Hansen in a no disqualification, no count out match for the American heavyweight Title. Most people would think that was a death wish.”
Windham, “You’re wrong Zbyskzo! The death wish is on Hansen’s part. Look at me, I’m Barry Windham, I’ve been World Champion several times and I am the best wrestler in the business today. Hansen, he’s loud, but he can’t back it up. He’s escaped every time against me. Tonight he can’t do that. The rules are in my favor, I’m taking the title!”
Zbyskzo, “Windham is confident, but I’ll bet this man is too.”
We go to Lee Marshall with Stan Hansen.
Marshall, “With me is the American Heavyweight Champion, Mr. Hansen, you heard Barry Windham, he thinks the rules favor him.”
Hansen slams down his hat and lariat.
Hansen, “So what? Who cares what that moron thinks! I’m Stan Hansen, I’m the toughest guy ever to come out of West Texas! Barry Windham is good, we all know that, but I’m the Champion and those rules are going to let me do whatever I want! Windham be as cocky as you want, I’m tearing you apart!”
Marshall, “The American Heavyweight Title match is next.
Match #12
American Heavyweight Championship
No Disqualification, No count
Stan Hansen (Champion) vs. Barry WindhamJack Doane is the referee, but all he has to do is count the fall. He won’t be very involved in the match. The two big men start slowly. They both know how key one early mistake could be. They lock up and Windham drives a knee to Hansen’s mid-section. This gives the Challenger the edge. He goes to work on Hansen. The no disqualification rule allows Windham to pull out all stops. The Champion is in a bad way. Windham’s blows have busted Hansen open. The Champ is in trouble. Windham goes for a cover, but Hansen summons enough strength to kick out at two. Windham argues with Doane, but Jack stands up to him and holds up two fingers. Windham goes back to work on Hansen. Stan, who is loved in Japan, rallies and the crowd gets behind him. Hansen lands two big left hands and now Windham is lacerated. Both men are giving it all they have. The blood continues to flow. Hansen whips Windham into the ropes and 60,000 people scream ‘Lariato’. Hansen hits the lariat and Windham goes down like a ton of bricks. Hansen covers Windham and Doane counts 1…2…3! Stan Hansen defeats Barry Windham. Lee Marshall hands the title to Stan, and the bloody Champion holds it over his head and the crows goes crazy!
Winner-Stan HansenMarshall is with Dave ‘Fit’ Finlay.
Marshall, “With me is Dave Finlay the International Champion. Mr. Finlay, you won the title this summer in your hometown of Belfast. Now you have a chance to consolidate it with one of the most prestigious titles in sport, the Triple Crown Title, either you, or Toshiaki Kawada will wear the ‘Crown of the King’.”
Finlay, “The night in Belfast was the night of my life and this one equals it. It may surpass it. I know how good Kawada is and I know how sneaky Wippleman is, but I’ve trained my whole life for matches like this. I’m ready, may the best man win.”
Marshall, “Dave Finlay loves to fight, and he will do just that in a few minutes. Now let’s go to Larry Zbyszko and Inspector Wippleman.”
Zbyszko is with Wippleman.
Zbyszko, O.K. Harve, you lost one title tonight, let’s see you go for two.”
Zbyszko, “Listen Zbyszko, I know you’re trying to get me off my game. This is a big match. Kawada is ready and he’ll wear the ‘Crown of the King’ after this match. You can book it!”
Zbyszko, “What about this deal with Onoo, what’s going on?”
Wippleman, “Just shut up, will ya, shut up! This is a big match, I have to go to the ring!”
Match #13
“Crown of the King”
Dave “Fit” Finlay (International Champion) vs. Toshiaki Kawada (Triple Crown Champion) w/Inspector Wipplema and Sonny OnooFinlay arrives in the ring first followed by the Triple Crown Champion. Onoo accompanies Wippleman and Kawada to the ring. He is all smiles and waves to the crowd. Teddy Long is the referee for this one. Giant Baba is in the ring with Tommy Watanabe and Lee Marshall. Marshall hands the case to Baba and he pulls out the velvet bag containing the title belt. Watanabe makes the ring introductions in both Japanese and English. Finally the bell rings and the match is underway. Both men are ready for war. The early moments are hard hitting and both have their chances, but neither man can gain an edge. Wippleman is pensive at ringside, but Onoo cheers and shouts instructions. Things begin to go Finlay way and the tough Irishman takes control. He lands lefts and rights and Kawada is in a bad way, but you don’t win the Triple Crown without being able to take and give punishment. Kawada turns to his old standby, kicks. He kicks away Finlay and the now the momentum has turned. Finlay makes a brief comeback, but it’s not enough. Kawada lands the Kawada kicks and covers Finlay. Long counts 1…2…3! Toshiaki Kawada will wear the “Crown of the King’! What a match! Baba comes into the ring to present the title to Kawada. Wippleman and Onoo strut around like they own the place.

Zbyszko, “Unbelievable! As much as I hate Wippleman, you have to give Kawada credit. He is the ‘King’!”
