“ACW Live!” Batelle Hall Columbus, OH 4/3/95Craig Johnson and Larry Zbyszko open the show. Chants of “Larry, Larry, Larry” greet them. Zbyszko steps out and acknowledges the cheers. Johnson, “Legend, the fans are behind you 100%! What a night of action we have. The ‘Red Belt’ will be on the line, as well as the WWA World Tag Team Titles, Stan Hansen will be here, as well as Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams, the American Heavyweight Champion. Larry, then we have the big eight man tag team match, featuring the debut of the Road Warriors.” Zbyszko, “It going to be another great night of action in ACW. I can’t wait to see the Road Warriors get their hands on the Quebecers and then on good old Harve.” Johnson, “On top of what we already talked about, Wolf Hawkfield defends the television title against Tiger King and this man will be in action.” Stan Hansen comes out swinging his lariat. Johnson, “Mr. Hansen…” Hansen, “Ohhhh! Let me at ‘em, where’s Abdullah, where’s Albright!” Johnson, “That’s what I was about to talk about. You have wrestled Abdullah several times and you have gotten the better of him, which very few men do, but that hasn’t stopped he and Albright form coming at you.” Hansen, “I’m not done with ‘em, I want both of them again. There is a lesson left to be taught!” Johnson, “It looks like you’re going to get that chance, next week, in Pittsburgh, you and Johnny Ace meet Gary Albright and Abdullah the Butcher. It’s going to be wild.” Hansen, “That’s right, it’s going to be wild. Johnny and I want to teach them one final lesson! Ohhhhh!” Johnson, “That’s going to be a great one. Now let’s see Stan Hansen in action, followed by our Television Title match.” Match #1 Stan Hansen def. Ray Lloyd, w/lariat
Match #2 American Television Championship Wolf Hawkfield (Champion) vs. Tiger KingThis rivalry has been very even. This match is no different. Tiger King’s high flying moves counteract Hawkfield’s strength. King gets a quick two count with a flying bodypress, but Wolf kicks out before referee Jack Doane counts three. The Champion uses a powerslam to get a near fall as well. They go back and forth until the 15 minute time limit expires. These two are still dead even. Result-Time Limit DrawLee Marshall is with Steve Williams. Marshall, “With me is Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams the American Heavyweight Champion. Doc, you’ve held the title for a few weeks and taken on all comers. I’m sure that will continue.” Williams, “I’m a fighting Champion. My contract is open and it doesn’t matter who signs it, I’ll wrestle them, and I’ll beat them.” Marshall, “Well the wrestling world knows that and challenges have come in from all over, and one of those challengers will be here next week. Former World Heavyweight Champion, Barry Windham, will be in Pittsburgh next week, and he has made a challenge to you.” Williams, “Barry Windham is a name everyone has heard. I hope he shows up and I’ll wrestle him, I don’t back down from anyone.” Marshall, “That’s a match we’d all like to see. Barry Windham will be in Pittsburgh next week. Now let’s see the Champion in action.” Match #3 Non-Title Match Steve “Dr. Death” Williams (American Heavyweight Champion) def. Duane Gill, w/Oklahoma stampede
Match #4 Gary Albright w/Abdullah the Butcher def. Barry Hardy, w/snapdragon suplexJohnson is with Tommy Watanabe. Johnson, “With me is womens wrestling guru Tommy Watanabe. Tommy we have two womens title matches coming up. First of all, Akira Hokuto defends the ‘Red Belt’ against the woman she beat for the title, Aja Kong. Then Las Cachorras Orientales defend the WWWA Womens Titles against Chaparrita ASARI and Bison Kimura. What do you think?” Watanabe, “Two very interesting matches. When Hokuto beat Kong, the fans were on her side. Now with Whippleman in her corner, the fans are on the other side. Kong can take care of herself, so this will be a great one. LCO recovered and took the titles back from the ‘Dream Sweethearts’. Now they are the hunted again. ASARI and Kimura represent a team of youth and experience. I don’t know who going to win, but they will both be great matches.” Johnson, “Tommy is diplomatic as usual, but he is the man to go to for information. Let’s go to the ring for the womens title matches.” Match #5 WWWA World Championship Akira Hokuto (Champion) w/Inspector Whippleman and Kensuke Sasaki vs. Aja KongKong uses her size advantage to take over early. The fans are behind her, which is an unusual situation for Kong. She batters Hokuto from pillar to post. The “Dangerous Queen” is in trouble. Whippleman and Sasaki are beside themselves at ringside. Whippleman shouts instructions and Hokuto takes the fight to the challenger. Kong fights back and it’s a pier six brawl. Things look good for Kong until Whippleman climbs on the ring apron. This distracts Kong and let’s Hokuto regroup. The “Dangerous Queen” moves around and hits the Northern Lights bomb and pins Kong. This will not sit well with Aja. They must meet again. Winner-Akira Hokuto
Match #6 WWWA World Tag Team Championship Las Cochorras Orientales (Champions) def. Chaparrita ASARI and Bison Kimura, Mita w/Death Valley driver vs. KimuraMarshall is with Inspector Whippleman and his men. Marshall, “With me is Inspector Whippleman and his charges. Mr. Whippleman, You have been successful already, you helped Akira Hokuto hold on to the ‘Red Belt’.” Whippleman, “What do you mean helped? I did no such thing!” Marshall, “We all saw you distract Aja Kong, but let’s move on. Your four men take on a very formidable team, Mike Rotundo, Johnny Smith and the legendary Road Warriors. That will be a stiff challenge.” Whippleman, “Rotundo can’t get it done. He’s proven that. Johnny Smith is a punk kid from England, and the Road Warriors? Two washed-up, face painted, clowns! Don’t make me laugh! I have the American Tag Team Champions, the International Heavyweight Champion and Kensuke Sasaki, the ‘Power Warrior’, what more do I need?” Marshall, “Inspector, I don’t know if I’d be as confident as you, but you know your men. Let’s go to Larry Zbyszko with their opponents.” Zbyszko is with Mike Rotundo, Johnny Smith and the Road Warriors. Zbyszko, “With me are the men who are going to squash old Harve’s men tonight, and then maybe I’ll jump in and take care of the Inspector. Mike, I know you want a piece of Chono.” Rotundo, “You bet I would, one fair shot! Whippleman keeps sticking his nose into things, but that’s the way things go. I’ve got three great partners, and we’re ready to teach these guys a lesson.” Zbyszko, “Johnny Smith, you’re pretty young, but you’ve been impressive. This is a big chance for you.” Smith, “That’s right Larry. These are fantastic partners and I plan to hold up my end of the bargain.” Zbyszko, “Now for the big men. I’ve know you two for a long time, in Georgia, in the AWA and other places. Why ACW?” Hawk, “Larry Zbyszko, you ask some good questions, of course you always could talk! My brother and I came to ACW because everyone said ACW was where the best tag teams were. We came here and we saw the Quebecers, they’re not bad, but they aren’t the ‘Legion of Doom’. Tell ‘em big man!” Animal, “Larry Zbyszko, what my brother said is right! The Quebecers are good, but they ain’t us! Whippleman is worm and we wouldn’t mind getting a shot at him, but we may leave him for you! One more thing…Hawk!” Hawk, “What a ruuuuuuuuush!” Zbyszko, “This one will be an all timer.” Match #7 Eight Man Tag Team Match The Road Warriors, Johnny Smith and Mike Rotundo vs. The Quebecers, Kensuke Sasaki, Masahiro Chono w/Inspector Whippleman and Akira HokutoThis will be a wild one. Whippleman runs his mouth, but has four big men and one tough woman to protect him. Referee Teddy Long is an experienced official, but this will be tough for any one man to control. Things settle down enough for the opening bell. It’s Johnny Smith vs. Kensuke Sasaki. Smith uses his speed to confuse Sasaki and the ‘Power Warrior’ is in trouble. He is frustrated and tags in Chono. Rotundo is chomping at the best and demands to tag in. This is what the crowd wants Chono vs. Rotundo. These two go at it. Both men have their chances, but can’t get a fall. The crowd rises and falls with each move. Chono tags in Jacques and Rotundo tags in Hawk. The Road Warriors are in an ACW ring! Hawk takes the fight to Jacques and Whippleman goes crazy. The match goes from wild in insane. Both teams tag in and out. Finally all six men end up in the ring. Long is trying to sort things out. Animal gets Pierre up and Hawk hits the Doomsday Device! Long turns to count the fall. What a debut for the “Legion of Doom”! Winners-The Road Warriors, Mike Rotundo and Johnny SmithJohnson and Zbyszko close the show. Johnson, “Legend, what a show! That eight man tag match may have been the most action packed match I have ever seen.” Zbyszko, “That was a great match, and the best thing is that little worm, Whippleman, was on the losing side. I see that happening a lot in the future.” Johnson, “We also heard about a former World Champion, Barry Windham, coming to ACW. He will be in Pittsburgh next week. Also on next week’s program, Stan Hansen and Johnny Ace team up to meet Gary Albright and Abdullah the Butcher. The ‘Bad Man from Borger, TX’ seems to have Abdullah’s number. Let’s see if that continues. That’s next week, but don’t forget about ‘Saturday Night Wrestling’. This week the Patriot will be in action, as well as the Pearls of the Orient. Jushin Liger and the Ultimate Dragon have been very impressive so far. In the feature match, four veterans will duke it out. Greg Valentine and Dave Taylor will meet Tommy Rich and Chris Adams. Don’t miss Lee Marshall and ‘Saturday Night Wrestling’. For the ‘Living Legend’, so long and join us next week.”

“Saturday Night Wrestling” 4/7/95Lee Marshall opens the show. Marshall, “Welcome to ‘Saturday Night Wrestling’! Our hour of weekend wrestling just gets more exciting each week, and this week is no different. We have four exciting matches in store tonight. The Patriot will be in singles action, and we have two exciting tag team matches, first of all, The Pearls of the Orient are in action against Allen Funk and Ray Lloyd, and in our feature match, four veterans do battle. Chris Adams and Tommy Rich team up to take on Greg Valentine and Dave Taylor. That would be enough, but this man will also be in action.” Dave Finlay joins Marshall. Marshall, “Mr. Finlay people have been very impressed by your hard hitting style. You’ve taken on the competition in ACW and are undefeated.” Finlay, “They told me the best wrestle here and they were close. The real best didn’t wrestle here until I got here. The competition is tough, and it’s not easy, but you’re right, I haven’t lost yet, and don’t plan on losing any time soon.” Marshall, “Tonight you meet Barry Hardy. He’s a good wrestler, but you also are signed to wrestle on ‘ACW Live!’ next week. On Tuesday night you meet 350 pound Maxx Payne. That’s one big man.” Finlay, “Do you think big men scare the Irish? I’ll answer that, they don’t Kyle is good, Payne is big and good! It doesn’t matter! I’m Fit Finlay and I came here to fight!” Marshall, “Mr. Finlay has done just that. Let’s see him in the ring.” Match #1 Dave “Fit” Finlay def. Barry Hardy, w/reverse piledriverMarshall is with Tommy Watanabe. Marshall, “With me is Tommy Watanabe, Japanese wrestling expert. Tommy the ‘Pearls of the Orient’ continue to impress people in ACW.” Watanabe, “The entire wrestling world is talking about this team. I spent part of last week in Japan and the experts, and the fans, are all trying to find ways to see ACW, and in particular, the Lyger and Dragon. There are a lot of predictions about this team becoming one of the all time great teams.” Marshall, “They are well on their way. Tonight they take on two youngsters, Allen Funk and Ray Lloyd. Let’s see the ‘Pearls of the Orient” in action.” Match #2 The Pearls of the Orient def. Allen Funk and Ray Lloyd, Ultimo Dragon w/Asai moonsault
Match #3 The Patriot def. Duane Gill, w/Patriot missileMarshall is with Tommy Rich and Chris Adams. Marshall, “Gentlemen, your tag team has been very impressive. You are both experienced wrestlers and you have found a sort of ‘Fountain of Youth’ in ACW.” Adams, “Tommy and I have both had our ups and downs in wrestling. We’ve both held World Titles and we’ve been on the bottom, as well. He’s a good partner and we’ve been making a name for ourselves.” Rich, “Chris is right. We’ve both had our ups and downs, but we can’t worry about that now. We’re both fired up and Valentine and Taylor better be ready, because we’re taking it to them!” Marshall, “Let’s hear prerecorded comments from Greg Valentine and Dave Taylor.” Valentine, “Rich, Adams, you talk about your careers, well mine’s just as good. I was Intercontinental Champion, U.S. Champion and a lot of others. You think you’re on some comeback tour, well Dave and I are going to derail that tour.” Taylor, “Adams, I want to talk to you! You think you represent Her Majesty the Queen, that’s laughable! David Taylor is a name that is known and respected all over Britain, and I’m going to show these foolish Americans who really is the ‘Pride of Britannia’!” Marshall, “Let’s go to the ring for our main event.” Match #4 Greg Valentine and Dave Taylor vs. Tommy Rich and Chris AdamsThese four veterans know how to pace a match. Rich and Valentine open things and the “The Hammer” goes to work on “Wildfire”. Valentine works over the legs to set up his figure four. Greg tags in Taylor and Dave uses his unique British style to continue to pummel Rich. Tommy is able to escape and tag in Adams and the two Englishmen go at it. Adams sets up, and hits, the superkick for the win. This was a very enjoyable tag team affair. Winners-Tommy Rich and Chris AdamsMarshall closes the show. Marshall, “Another great Saturday night of wrestling! What a tag team match! The action continues in ACW this week. Remember Barry Windham will be in Pittsburgh on Tuesday along with several great matches including, Dave Finlay vs. Maxx Payne and Stan Hansen and Johnny Ace taking on Gary Albright and Abdullah the Butcher. Now let’s talk about next Saturday night. We have a special treat. Akira Hokuto, the ‘Dangerous Queen’, will defend the ‘Red Belt’ against one half of LCO, Etsuko Mita and we have a tag team main event. Big Titan and Horace Boulder take on the young exciting team of Bobby Blaze and the Colorado Kid, Saturday night, 11:30, ESPN 2, don’t miss it!”

We told you last week, that former World Champion, Barry Windham would be here, and he will be out later, but let’s begin the program with the current American Heavyweight Champion, Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams.” Williams comes out to join Johnson and Zbyszko. Johnson, “Mr. Williams, you have beaten everyone in your path, but a new name has arisen, Barry Windham. He is a former World Champion and an experienced veteran.” Williams, “Windham was good, I’ve wrestled him before. I wouldn’t take him lightly.” Windham comes out. Windham, “Williams, you better not take me lightly! I’ve been wrestling in Texas, and winning I might add, and now I’ve come to the big time, ACW! They tell me Steve Williams is the best now. We have wrestled before and you were good, but you weren’t Barry Windham!” Williams steps toward Windham. Williams, “Windham, you think you’re the man, let’s prove it!” Johnson, “Gentlemen, gentlemen, that’s not how we settle things in ACW. We do it in the ring. I’m sure the ‘Championship Committee’ can get something signed.” Match #1 Non-Title Match Steve “Dr. Death” Williams (American Heavyweight Champion) def. Executioner #2, w/Oklahoma stampede
Match #2 Tommy Rich def. Duane Gill, w/Thez pressLee Marshall is with Dave “Fit” Finlay. Marshall, “With me is a man you have seen on ‘Saturday Night Wrestling’, the pride of Northern Ireland, Dave ‘Fit’ Finlay. Mr. Finlay has been very impressive in his short time in ACW. Tonight he takes on the behemoth Maxx Payne. Mr. Finlay, tonight is your biggest, literally, challenge in ACW.” Finlay, “I don’t care how big he is! I fought them all, in every country, in every arena, I don’t care how big, how tough, or how mean they are. I’m ‘Fit’ Finlay and I like to fight! Maxx Payne, you’re big, tough, all those things, but you’re not me and you aren’t beating me!” Marshall, “’Fit’ Finlay is ready for action!” Match #3 Dave “Fit” Finlay def. Hawk, “Like Animal said, we’re here and that better make the Quebecers nervous! Tell ‘em big man.” Animal, “Sign that contract Whippleman! Get it over with! We’re taking the titles, don’t make us chase you!” Hawk, “What a ruuuuuuuush!” Marshall, “The Road Warriors are here and it looks like they have the Quebecers in their sights.” Match #5 The Road Warriors def. The Avenger and Executioner #1, w/Doomsday device vs. The Avenger
Match #6 Crush def. Jerry Flynn, w/heart punchMarshall is with Stan Hansen and Johnny Ace. Marshall, “With me are Johnny Ace and Stan Hansen. Gentleman, you have had good success against this team, but you know they are going to be out for revenge.” Ace, “I’ll let Stan take this one.” Hansen, “OHHHHHHH! Lee Marshall! Johnny Ace and I have beaten the devil out of those two fools! Abdullah, I’ve taught you a lesson and I’ll do it again tonight! Albright, you’re young, and you’re pretty good, but you’re learning quickly. I am not a man to be messed with, remember that!” Ace, “I couldn’t have said it better myself.” Marshall, “Johnny Ace and Stan Hansen vs. Abdullah the Butcher and Gary Albright, that has carnage written all over it.” Match #7 Johnny Ace and Stan Hansen vs. Abdullah the Butcher and Gary AlbrightThe Butcher and Albright jump Ace and Hansen before the bell and the fight is on! Referee Teddy Long has a long night ahead of him. He gets things sorted out and it’s Ace vs. Abdullah. The Butcher takes the fight to Ace and the big blond is in trouble. Ace is able to escape and Hansen enters the ring like a hurricane! He pounds away at Abdullah and the man from the Sudan has had enough. He tags in Gary Albright and the big man from the University of Nebraska comes right at Hansen. It’s a battle, but the man from Borger, TX hits the lariat and gets the pin. Stan Hansen continues to cut a swath of destruction through ACW. Winners-Johnny Ace and Stan HansenJohnson and Zbyszko close the show. Johnson, “Legend, what a show! “Saturday Night Wrestling” 4/13/95Lee Marshall opens the show. Marshall, “Welcome to ‘Saturday Night Wrestling’, the hottest thing on Saturday night! We have another fantastic night of wrestling. Akira Hokuto, with her husband, Kensuke Sasaki and Inspector Whippleman, defends the ‘Red Belt’ against Mima Shiomda. In our main event, Big Titan and Horace Boulder take on the Colorado Kid and Bobby Blaze. All that and this man is in our first match.” Barry Windham comes out. Marshall, “This man needs no introduction. Barry Windham is a former World Champion and one of the most recognizable names in professional wrestling. Mr. Windham, you’ve made a big splash in ACW.” Windham, “They all know that! Barry Windham is a name that people have feared and respected you several years and Steve Williams is going to find out, real quick, why!” Marshall, “That brings up Williams, and the American Heavyweight Title. You meet ‘Dr. Death’ in two weeks on ACW Live! Are you ready for someone like Williams?” Windham, “Marshall, what are you talking about? I’ve been around the block a few times and I’ve wrestled, and beat, people tougher than him! I will be the Champion!” Marshall, “Barry Windham is very confident. In two weeks, he meets Steve Williams, tonight he meets Allen Funk.” Match #1 Barry Windham def. Allen Funk, w/claw
Match #2 Koko B. Ware def. Ray Lloyd, w/ghostbusterMarshall is with Inspector Whippleman, Akira Holuto and Kensuke Sasaki. Marshall, “With me is Akira Hokuto, the ‘Dangerous Queen’. Inspector Whippleman, she is one of the finest female wrestlers of all time. Why does she need her husband and you at ringside? Many people think you are protecting the ‘Red Belt’ for her.” Whippleman, “Don’t be ridiculous! Akira Hokuto has suffered the prejudice that any foreign wrester feels in America! Just as I, a proud man from the ‘Great White North’, have suffered. I stand with Akira and her husband. I want them to understand that even tough Americans fear and ridicule them, we Canadians appreciate talent and we are on their side!” Marshall, “That’s the most asinine thing I have ever heard. First of all, you’re an American, and you have been cheating to help Hokuto hold onto the title.” Whippleman, “This interview is over! I can’t reason with a man like you!” Marshall, “I think I struck a nerve. When we return, the ‘Dangerous Queen” will be in action.” Match #3 WWWA Championship Akira Hokuto (Champion) w/Inspector Whippleman and Kensuke Sasaki vs. Mima ShimodaHokuto was instrumental in the training of Shimoda, but she shows no sympathy. She attacks Shimoda and pounds away at her. Mima is in trouble, but she rallies and takes the fight to the Champion. Shimoda looks good until Whippleman distracts Shimoda and Hokuto lands the Northern Lights bomb for the win. Shimoda struggles to her feat and shouts something to Hokuto. This stops the Champion in her tracks. She looks at Shimoda, but leaves the ring with Whippleman and Sasaki. Shimoda continues to shout at Hokuto as she leaves the ring area. Winner-Akira HokutoMarshall is with Big Titan and Horace Boulder. Marshall, “I wonder what that conversation was about? That may bear watching. With me now are Big Titan and Horace Boulder. Both of these big men have looked very impressive and they have an undefeated streak in tag team action. Gentlemen, you are moving up the ranks.” Big Titan, “What ladder? We’ve beaten everyone and still no main events, no title matches! It’s about time those cowards in ACW get in the ring with us!” Marshall, “The Colorado Kid and Bobby Blaze don’t seem to be afraid.” Boulder, “I give those two bums credit. They are willing to wrestle us, but they’re not in our league! Let’s have some real competition!” Marshall, “Well, I think you may be surprised tonight.” Match #4 Big Titan and Horace Boulder vs. The Colorado Kid and Bobby BlazeThe smaller Kid and Blaze take the fight to their opponents. Blaze rolls Boulder up and referee Chad Patton counts two, but Horace kicks out. Titan and Boulder are frustrated and they pick up the aggressiveness. They pound away and Big Titan lands the exploder suplex on Blaze for the win. Winners-Big Titan and Horace BoulderMarshall closes the show. Marshall, “What a show this week and next week will be exciting as well. We will see the ‘Pearls of the Orient’ in action, Barry Windham will be back and we will see the debut of this man.” We see highlights of the Tornado. Marshall, “The Tornado is the top wrestler in South Africa, the entire continent of Africa, for that matter and he will be here. Join us, on Tuesday, for ACW Live! Akira Hokuto will defend the ‘Red Belt’ against Aja Kong, LCO defends the WWWA Tag Team Titles against the Mexican team of La Felina and La Diabolica, and in the big one, the Quebecers meet the Road Warriors, with the American Tag Team Titles on the line. “ACW Live” Civic Center Augusta, ME 4/17/95Craig Johnson and Larry Zbyszko open the show. Chants of “Larry, Larry, Larry!” ring out in the Augusta Civic Center. Zbyszko steps out and acknowledges the chants. Johnson, “Legend, the fans in Maine love you, and they are going to love what we have for them tonight.” Zbyszko, “ACW is the hottest thing in wrestling and I can’t wait for the main event. Old Harve is going to get his.” Johnson, “We’re here in the capital city and so are the Road Warriors and the Quebecers. This the first chance for the Legion of Doom to take the coveted American Tag Team Titles. We also have a fantastic womens tag team title match. LCO defends the WWWA Titles against the Mexican team of La Felina and La Diabolica. In womens singles action, Akira Hokuto defends the ‘Red Belt’ against the woman she took it from, Aja Kong. There seems to be something going on with Hokuto and Mima Shimoda. We’ll have to keep an eye on that. All this and Stan Hansen will be here. Let’s not waste any more time and go to the ring for out womens tag team match.” Match #1 WWWA Tag Team Championship Las Cachorras Orientales (Champions) vs. La Felina and La DiabolicaThe masked Mexican team takes the fight to the Champions. LCO does not know what hit them. La Diabolica uses a huracanrana to get a two count on Etsuko Mita. LCO regroups and rallies. Mitta hits the Death Valley driver on La Felina for the victory. These two teams should meet again. Winners-Las Cachorras Orientales
Match #2 Johnny Smith def. Killer Kyle, w/missile dropkickStan Hansen is with Lee Marshall. Marshall, “With me is the ‘Bad Man from Borger, TX’, Stan Hansen. Mr. Hansen, you battled Abdullah the Butcher and Gary Albright in singles action, as well as tag team matches. Next week you meet Albright one on one. You’re not one to shy away from physical confrontations.” Hansen slams his bull rope down. Hansen, “Of course not! I came here to fight! Albright, you big fat hog! You can wrestle, I know that, but Stan Hansen can fight! And I’m going to show you that. Abdullah found out not to mess with me and I’m going to show a young pup, like you, what it’s like to feel the lariat! OHHHHHHHH!” Marshall, “Stan Hansen, calm and collected, as usual. Now let’s see him in action.” Match #3 Stan Hansen def. Duane Gill, w/lariat
Match #4 American Television Championship Wolf Hawkfield (Champion) def. Chris Adams, w/cyber spearCraig Johnson is with Tommy Watanabe. Johnson, “With me is Japanese wrestling guru. Tommy Watanabe. Tommy there is a lot going on in ACW. Akira Hokuto defends the ‘Red Belt’ against Aja Kong, the woman she beat for the title. That’s big news in of itself, but what happened last Saturday is very interesting. Let’s see what happened.” We see Hokuto defeat Mima Shimoda. Shimoda appears to lecture Hokuto after the match and even as Hokuto, Kensuke Sasaki and Inspecetor Whippleman leave the ring. Johnson, “Tommy, what do you know?” Watanabe, “Well, you must remember that Akira Hokuto was very instrumental in getting Mima Shimoda started in wrestling. She has always been a mentor to Mima. Getting a chance to wrestle for Hokuto’s ‘Red Belt’ would be a bittersweet occasion. I know that Shimoda respects Akira, but you have to wonder what she thought about losing the match because of an outside distraction by Whippleman.” Johnson, “Very interesting. We know if we want information about womens wrestling, we go to this man. Let’s see our WWWA Title match.” Match #5 WWWA Championship Akira Hokuto (Champion) w/Inspector Whippleman and Kensuke Sasaki vs. Aja KongThe massive Kong takes the fight to the Champion. Hokuto is in full retreat. She rolls out of the ring and confers with her husband and Whippleman. Kong takes to the floor as well. She steps toward Whippleman and the Inspector quickly ducks behind Sasakai and Hokuto. Things settle down and the match is very even. Hokuto is able to take Kong down and cover her. Whippleman reaches in and grabs Aja’s leg. Referee Jack Doane counts the fall. Kong is livid! Suddenly LCO come to the ring. Mima Shimoda and Etsuko Mita begin to verbally assault Hokuto. Kong joins in. Sasaki steps toward them, but Hokuto stops him and they leave the ring. Whippleman realizes he is in the ring with three angry Japanese women. He high tails it from the ring. Winner-Akira Hokuto
Match #6 Johnny Ace def. Maxx Payne, w/Ace crusherLarry Zbyszko is with Inspector Whippleman and the Quebecers. Zbyszko, “I’m here with old Harve. Harve, things don’t look so good for you and Hokuto. I guess your lack of success with women outside the ring carries on in the ring.” Whippleman, “Shut up, Zbyszko, shut up! Hokuto is still the Champion and that’s all I have to say about that. I want to talk about how my Quebecers are going to destroy the Road Warriors and make all proud Canadians, like myself, even prouder.” Zbyszko, “I don’t know Harve, the Road Warriors are cut out of granite, and these two rent-a-cops from Saskatoon, don’t look like they can beat them.” Whippleman, “Careful Zbyszko, after we beat the Road Warriors, we’ll have plenty left to come after you!” Zbyszko, “Let’s go to Craig and the Road Warriors, my money’s on these guys.” Johnson is with the Road Warriors. Johnson, “With me is the ‘Legion of Doom’. Gentlemen, you big chance is coming up.” Hawk, “Listen Craig Johnson, we’ve had big chances our whole careers, and we’ve taken them! Harvey Whippleman, you clown, send those boys out like lambs to slaughter! Tell ’em big man!” Animal, “Like my brother said, lambs to slaughter! Quebecers, you better be ready because the storm we’re bringing is not like anything you’ve seen! We want those titles!” Hawk, “What a RUUUUUUUUSH!” Johnson, “The tag titles are up for grabs, next!” Match #7 American Tag Team Championship The Quebecers (Champions) vs. The Road WarriorsA “Big Fight” feel hangs over the Civic Center. The Road Warriors storm the ring followed by the Champions. The Warriors try to intimidate the Quebecers. It doesn’t work on anyone, but Whippleman. The Challengers start like a house afire. The Champions are reeling. Animal lands a big clothesline of Pierre and gets a two count. Referee Teddy Long emphatically tells Animal it was only two. The Challengers get the better of the Quebecers and look like they are about to take the titles. Animal clamps a bearhug on Jacques which brings Whippleman into the ring with a chair. He smashes it into Animal. Long calls for the bell and disqualifies the Champions. Whippleman and the Quebecers quickly leave the ring and the Road Warriors are left, frustrated, in the ring. Winners-The Road Warriors (Disqualification)Johnson and Zbyszko close the show. Johnson, “That was a travesty!” Zbyszko, “Harve, I don’t think you should have done that. The Road Warriors won’t take that lying down.” Johnson, “Another great night of action, even if the main event had a frustrating result. Let’s talk about next week. We will be in Worcester, MA, at the Centrum. This Tuesday may be our most exciting night yet. Here’s what you will see, Stan Hansen takes on Gary Albright, Kensuke Sasaki and Masahiro Chono team up to take on Mike Rotundo and Johnny Smith, and for the American Heavyweight Title, Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams defends against Barry Windham. Barry Windham will be here in a tune up for his title match with Steve Williams. The ‘Pearls of the Orient’ will be in action, as well as two exciting lady wrestlers. We also have an exciting newcomer debuting tonight. This man hails from Johannesburg, South Africa, the Tornado!” The Tornado comes out and joins Marshall. Marshall, “With me is the Tornado. He is one of the top wrestlers on the continent of Africa. He has held titles all over the world. Why have you come to ACW?” Tornado, “I’ve come to America to take over the wrestling world of this continent. I’ve dominated Africa for a long time and it’s time to branch out. I’m here to show everyone how talented I am and I can beat anyone in this country!” Marshall, “The Tornado comes highly publicized. Let’s see him in action.” Match #1 The Tornado vs. Chris AdamsThe experienced Adams is a good match for the Tornado. The man from South Africa takes the fight to Adams. The “Gentleman” fights back, but the Tornado is too much. He slams Chris and hits a moonsault for the win. Winner-The TornadoMarshall is with Barry Windham. Marshall, “With me is Barry Windham. Mr. Windham is a former World Champion and arrived in ACW with a bang. He challenged Steve Williams, and the American Heavyweight Champion accepted. In a few days you have your chance.” Windham, “I’ve been around a long time, and I’ve beaten them all. Williams is good, but he’d not Barry Windham. I came here on a mission and the American Heavyweight Title is that mission. Williams, get yourself ready. I’m coming to Worcester and I’m leaving with the title!” Marshall, “Barry Windham will meet Steve Williams on Tuesday night, tonight he takes on The Colorado Kid, next.” Match #2 Barry Windham def. The White Knight, w/clawMatch #3 Etsuko Mita def. Chaparrita ASARI, w/Death Valley DriverTommy Watanabe is in the ring and calls Etsuko Mita over. He asks her what is going on with Akira Hokuto. Mita refuses to answer and walks to the back.Watanabe, “Fans, we tried to get an answer about the situation between the Champion and the other ladies from Japan. I have not been able to find out anything, and you can see, Etsuko Mita is not talking. I will continue to investigate.” Lee Marshall is with Tommy Watanabe and the “Pearls of the Orient”. Marshall, “With me is Tommy Watanabe, our Japanese wrestling expert, and the ‘Pearls of the Orient’ Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger and the Ultimo Dragon. Tommy is going to conduct our interview and translate.” Watanabe says that Liger and Dragon are hoping to move up the ladder in the tag team division. “ACW Live!” Centrum Worcester, MA 4/24/95Craig Johnson and Larry Zbyszko open the show. Chants of “Larry, Larry, Larry!” fill the arena. Zbyszko steps out and acknowledges them. Johnson, “The fans in Worcester love the ‘Legend’. They are also going to love tonight’s action. We have a fantastic main event, with the American Heavyweight Title on the line, Stan Hansen takes on Gary Albright, and we have an exciting tag team match to open the show. Johnny Smith and Mike Rotundo take on this team.” Inspector Whippleman leads Masahiro Chono and Kensuke Sasaki, along with Akira Hokuto, on to the stage. Johnson, “Inspector, let’s talk about last week…” Whippleman, “Let’s not. That was a fluke, a blip on the horizon, a mirage…” Zbyszko, “Harve, don’t take it so badly, the Road Warriors have beaten a lot of good teams. It’s not surprising they beat your Canadian rent-a-cops.” Whippleman, “Zbyszko, you have a big mouth, and a small brain. The Quebecers are the American Tag Team Champions and two muscled headed, face painted clowns are not going to beat them. Tonight I send my two Japanese warriors out against two bums, that’s what they are, bums. Johnny Smith and Mike Rotundo have no business in the ring with my men. Rotundo keeps thinking he can take the International Heavyweight Title from Chono, that’s not going to happen.” Zbyszko, “Harve, you really are a moron… Now let’s move on to Akira Hokuto. There seems to be something going on with her and the other women wrestlers in ACW. What’s going on?” Whippleman, “That’s it! I won’t comment on that! Zbyszko, it’s about time I turn my men loose on you!” Johnson, “O.K., O.K., we don’t want any trouble. Let’s go to the ring for the tag team match.” Match #1 Johnny Smith and Mike Rotundo vs. Masahiro Chono and Kensuke Sasaki w/Inspector Whippleman and Akira HokutoThis is a wild one. Rotundo and Smith tag in and out and Whippleman’s team is on the run. Rotundo goes for the airplane spin, but Chono blocks it. He whips Mike into the ropes and hits the Yakuza kick. He covers Rotundo and gets the fall. Winners-Masahiro Chono and Kensuke Sasaki
Match #2 The Patriot def. Dave Taylor, w/Patriot missileLee Marshall is with the Can-Am Express. Marshall, “With me is Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffat, the Can-Am Express. Gentlemen, you keep moving up the tag team ladder in a very crowded field. The tag team action is hot. Kroffat, “There are a lot of top teams in ACW. Doug and I have wrestled anyone and everyone. We’ve beaten them all. We will take on anyone.” Furnas, “The Quebecers have held the titles for a while now, and the Road Warriors are hers, but you better not forget about us. Throw in Liger and Dragon and the tag team division is very tough, but we plan on beating them all.” Marshall, “The Can-Am Express is riding high, let’s see them in action.” Match #3 The Can-Am Express def. Duane Gill and Jerry Flynn, Furnas w/powerslam vs. Gill
Match #4 The Black Shadow def. Ray Lloyd, w/powerslamMarshall is with Stan Hansen. Hansen bellows and swings his bull rope. Marshall, “Stan Hansen…” Hansen, “Gary Albright, you’re next! Mark it down! You’re next! I took care of Abdullah and now I’ll run you out of town! I’ve been here a couple of months and I’ve shown people that the old Cowboy has a lot left and you’re the next one to feel it! OHHHHHHHH!” Marshall, “Mr. Hansen, you do meet Gary Albright in our next match. He’s big and a very skilled wrestler.” Hansen, “I told you, Marshall, he’s next on my list! I’ve moving through the field here, and it won’t be pretty!” Marshall, “Stan Hansen vs. Gary Albright is next.” Match #5 Gary Albright vs. Stan HansenTwo behemoths go at it in this one. They charge into one another like two big bulls and neither man takes a step back. The younger Albright gets the early edge and the “Bad Man from Borger, TX” is in trouble. Albright pounds away. Hansen rallies and returns fire. He hits the lariat and referee Chad Patton counts the fall. Hansen continues his winning streak. Winner-Stan HansenMatch #6 American Television Championship Wolf Hawkfield (Champion) def. John Nord, w/cyber spearMarshall is with Barry Windham. Marshall, “With me is Barry Windham. Barry, in a few minutes you challenge Steve Williams for the American Heavyweight Title. You came in an made a brash challenge to the Champion. Are you ready for this match?” Windham, “Marshall, it’s not brash if you can back it up. I’m a former World Champion. I’ve wrestled Williams before and I’ve beaten him before. Tonight I get the chance to take a title from him. I guarantee you it’s going to happen.” Marshall, “Barry Windham is very confident. Let’s go to Larry Zbyszko who is with Steve ‘Dr. Death’ Williams.” Zbyszko is with Steve Williams. Zbyszko, “Dr. Death, Barry Windham is very confident. He thinks he can beat you.” Williams, “Windham has the resume to deserve the title shot and he has the ability to back up what he says, but he is no Steve Williams, no one else is. Windham, I don’t brag, I don’t make predictions, I beat people up and that’s what I’m going to do to you!” Zbyszko, “Our main event is next.” Match #7 American Heavyweight Championship Steve “Dr. Death” Williams (Champion) vs. Barry WindhamTwo giants of the ring do battle in this one. The early moments are slow as neither man wants to make a mistake. The Champion works Windham into the corner and works him over. He whips Barry into the ropes and drops him with a clothesline. Williams covers him, but Barry kicks out before referee Teddy Long’s count reaches three. The match continues with both men getting nearfalls. Finally Windham sets Williams for a suplex, but “Dr. Death” blocks it and wraps Windham in a small package. Long counts three! Windham is stunned. They get to their feet and Williams offers his hand to Windham. Barry shakes it. There is a great deal of respect between these two. Winner-Steve WilliamsJohnson and Zbyszko close the show. Johnson, “What a show! Barry Windham takes the fight to the American Champion and almost comes away with the title. Those two will meet again. Now let’s talk about ACW television in the next week. First of all, Lee Marshall hosts ‘Saturday Night Wrestling’ and what a Saturday night it’s going to be. Big Titan and Horace Boulder take on the Pearls of the Orient and Wolf Hawkfield defends the American Television Title against Tiger King. What a night! Now let’s talk about next week’s ‘ACW Live!’. We will be at the Civic Center in Providence, RI. We have two big title matches, first Mike Rotundo challenges Masahiro Chono for the International Heavyweight Title, and in the rematch we all have been waiting for, The Road Warriors challenge the Quebecers for the American Tag Team Titles! Don’t miss that one!” Zbyszko, “Old Harve is living on borrowed time.” Johnson, “Ladies and gentlemen, if ACW is on the bill, don’t miss it!”
