Memphis X-Treme Pro Wrestling presents Christmas Chaos!
12/17/94 - The New Daisy Theater Memphis, TN
Memphis Legend "Wildfire" Tommy Rich enters the ring and thanks the people in attendance for being here today for the Memphis X-Treme Pro Wrestling's inaugural show, Christmas Chaos! He assures us they have one hell of a show for us here tonight and points to the cameramen at ringside. He says that the show is being filmed for VHS release, so if the crowd wants to get noticed tonight; they'd better make some noise! He then introduces his co-host tonight; Lord Alfred Hayes!
Hayes enters the ring and thanks the crowd for being here tonight and tells the parents in attendance to make sure and get their kids a special Christmas treat from ECW's own Doink the Clown! Doink is dressed as Santa and waves to the crowd as he passes out candy from a bag.
Tommy Rich then says that's enough sillyness for one show. After all people came here to see some wrestling!
All matches are refereed by Frank Parker; while Hayes handles the ring intros. Rich and Hayes handle the commentary.
Match: Reckless Youth vs. Mike Quackenbush
Reckless Youth and Mike Quackenbush put on a fast paced match with a nice mix of technical wrestling and high flying maneuvers that thrill the crowd. In the end it's Reckless Youth who picks up the win after hitting Quackenbush with a Frog Splash.
Match: Wendi Richter vs. Rockin' Robin
Wendi Richter returns to the ring and proves that she's still "150 lbs. of twisted steel and sex appeal" in a hardfought match with Rockin' Robin which she dominates the latter half of before putting Robin away with a flying crossbody from the top.
Mask vs. Mask Match: Blue Demon Jr. vs. Aldo Montoya
Aldo Montoya doesn't seem to be bringing his A game to this match and Blue Demon Jr. dominates him hitting several high spots including several hurrancanranas, a springboard moonsault; and a missile dropkick of the top. Despite getting little offense in Aldo refuses to stay down and eanrs the contempt of the Demon who tosses him out of the ring. Montoya looks to be leaving the arena and an angry Blue Demon charges across the ring and leaps off in a heated suicide dive! But Aldo sidesteps it and the Demon crashes to the floor below hard! Montoya begins screaming at his down opponent and stomps him into the ground. Not content he lifts Blue Demon up and smashes his face into the guardrail before reaching over it and taking up a steel chair! He then lies Demon's head on the guard rail and viciously smashes his head with the chair! He then rolls the unconscious luchador into the ring where he makes the cover; but referee Frank Parker refuses to make the count.
Montoya tells him to forget it and sits in the ring clutching his own head while Tommy Rich, Parker and a few EMTs check on Blue Demon Jr. Aldo Montoya then gets up and heads over to the announcer's desk picking up the microphone. He says that he spent too much of his life in the WWF being treated like nothing but a piece of garbage. That they are responsible for his actions here today, not him. Because he doesn't even care about this mask. He isn't Aldo Montoya. Vince McMahon hid him behind this mask. Buried him so has-beens like Hulk Hogan and no-talent fat asses like Yokozuna could continue on top. Well he's had enough. Aldo Monotya is dead. He then removes
the mask and throws it away revealing his true face as he glares at the booing crowd.
Match: Bad News Brown vs. The Warlord
This match is nothing more than a brawl as the two big men tear one another apart. Things get bloody when Bad News Brown catches The warlod in the corner and busts him open with a series of rights and lefts. Warlord battles back and the match eventually spills out of the ring and into the crowd where Walord delivers Bad News into the concrete with a vicious chokeslam that cuts open the back of his head. This doesn't keep Brown down however and the two men battle on to a time limit draw.
After the match things settle down and "The Don" Don Muraco takes to the ring with his "Family" of Don Montoya and "Boom Boom" Bundy. He says that several months ago the unthinkable happened. Summon robbed The Don. Not to his face mind you. Nobody is brave enough to do that. But this year he beat that stinking no good "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka to win this here Major League Heavyweight Championship. He proved that he's the best of the best. And The Family was at the top of the world. But what usually happens when an Italian rises to the top, proving to the world yet again that they're better than you; happened. The feds came in and closed the place down. But Muraco isn't having it. Those mamalukes aren't gonna be pulling a fast one on The Family again. So he's here today the Major League Wrestling Champion and he's willing to face anyone in this building, hell anyone in this pig-infested State for the Title. But don't plan on winning it. Cause once again Don Muraco is gonna prove what we all already know; that the Italians are the best in the world. Capiche?
Hardcore Match: Balls Mahoney vs. Bull Pain vs. Glen Osbourne
This match starts off with a metal garbage can filled with foreign objects set in the middle of the ring. When Parker starts the match the three men charge for it and getting there about the same time begin brawling over it. After no one giving much leeway after several minutes, Balls Mahoney kicks the can dumping it over and sending his opponents scattering. Bull Pain however gets there first grabbing a bat and comes after Mahoney swinging wildly. Balls retreats out of the ring as Pain raises his bat triumphantly. He then turns looking for Glen Osbourne who finds him first slamming a fire extinguisher into Pain's gut. As Bull doubles over Glen nails him across the face knocking him over the top rope out of the ring. Balls Mahoney meanwhile has slid back into the ring with a steel chair in hand and clubs Osbourne from behind with it! Glen spins only to get dropped by a second chair shot and a second before Mahoney goes for the pin. Bull Pain is back up and not having it tugging Osbourne from the ring and begins wailing on him. Not wanting to miss out Mahoney climbs out onto the apron and leaps over taking both men down with a double clothesline! Back up first Mahoney grabs Pain's bat and begins wailing on both men in turn! He then climbs back into the ring and begins searching the can for another weapon. Osborne and Pain both men back up on their feet form an alliance and grabbing the preoccupied Mahoney from behind perform a double side Russian leg sweep on Balls sending him face first into the can crushing it! Osbourne then goes to cover Mahoney; but Pain lets him have it with an elbow drop before making the cover himself! He gets a two before he finds a chain wrapped around his neck and is pulled off by Glen! Osbourne chokes him out a bit before dropping Pain's motionless body on the floor to make the cover. 1!...2!... Balls Mahoney breaks the cover! And he's armed with a.... cheese grater?! Trapping Osbourne in a headloche down on the ground Mahoney begins grating Osbourne's head and blood spills everywhere! Bull Pain meanwhile has choked awake and getting to his feet in a daze takes stock of the situation before he begins stomping a mudhole in Mahoney! He then picks up the discarded bat and breaks it over Balls' head! He then uses the broken wood to cut Mahoney's forehead open! He laughs maniacally as he hoists Balls up to his feet and throws him out of the ring! Glen Osbourne meanwhile is back up on his feet but a fresher Bull Pain walks over and kicks him in the gut before piledriving him on top of the steel garbage can! Bull then climbs up the turnbuckle and launches off looking for the frog splash and doesn't connect as Balls is back in the ring and drives the fire extinguisher into the gut of the descending Bull! Pain flops around like a fish while Mahoney makes the cover. But he only gets a two! Bull struggles to one knee and Balls hammers on him; but he doesn't stay down and soon the two men are going punch for punch in the middle of the ring! Whipping Mahoney across the ring Pain delivers a running clothesline that topples him over the top rope to the concrete floor below! He turns victoriously and kicks something. Looking down Bull sees a box of thumbtacks! He raises it in the air before jiggling them and dumping them out of the ring onto Balls Mahoney. he then leaps down onto him for a legdrop! Big mistake as Bull howls in pain more than the downed Mahoney who claws his way back to his feet. Sadistically Mahoney takes some of the tacks and mashes them into Pain's forehead before pulling him up to his feet and helping him to the announcer's table which he slams his head into. Bull is dazed as Balls Mahoney rolls him onto the announcer's table sending Hayes and Rich scrambling for cover. Lifitng Pain up into the air Balls Mahoney powerbombs him through the table! Inside the ring Osbourne has recovered and is up on his feet; but it's too little too late as while on the outside amidst the wreckage Mahoney covers Bull pain and Parker is right there with the three count.
Buck Zumhoff comes out receiving a pretty good pop and thanks all his "little Rock 'N Rollers" for their continued support. He says that Slammin' Saturdays will be returning soon; but tonight he has something else on his mind. He's noticed that the old federation he worked for; the AWA is back up and running. He's glad to see it. Means alot of jobs for alot of guys. One thing he has noticed however? There's no Light Heavyweight Championship. And that's because good ol' "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff has it! Sure they could roll out a new belt; but let's face it. It wouldn't be worth the metal it was minted from. So what's the AWA to do? Well that's easy. Next month have someon boogy on over here to X-Treme Pro Wrestling and take it from him. Buck don't care who. He's always been a fighting Champion. Which he'll prove here tonight against his old rival "Mr. Electric" Steven Regal!
AWA Light Heavyweight Title Match: Buck Zumhoff vs. Steven Regal
Buck Zumhoff and Steven Regal put on a solid match with several nearfalls for both men before Zumhoff "Rock 'N Rolls" his way to the win with a sunset flip. After the match he brings some fans up into the ring to dance with him.
Tag-Team Match: King Kong Bundy & Don Montoya vs. The Bushwhackers
Don Montoya cockily insists on starting things off here with Butch. The two Bushwhackers end up using him as a punching back and work him over with him getting little offense in until he manages to make the hot tag to King Kong Bundy. Bundy comes in like a freight train and cleans house before getting the pin on Luke with the big splash. He ain't walking away from that one.
William Regal comes in with an English flag jacket and receives a chorus of boos for it. He asks Tommy Rich for the microphone. He says that these rednecks can go ahead and boo if they want. Lord William Regal is used to being spit upon by filth. He just got done working for WCW after all. And it's not like it's going to affect the outcome of this little tussle one bit.
Shoot Match: Lord William Regal vs. Dan "The Beast" Severn
This is a brutal match with William Regal and Dan Devern putting on a true wrestling classic as they trade holds and pound one another until their fists and faces are bloody. Neither man is willing to stay down or tap out though Regal comes awfully close after taking a hard belly to back suplex from "The Beast." In the end however Lord Regal manages to squeeze out a narrow victory using a dragon sleeper with leg scissors on Severn. After the match both men look on the verge of dropping dead; but they manage to shake hands after a well-fought match.
Don Muraco takes to the ring with Montoya and Bundy at ringside. He cockily shows off his Championship before getting on the microphone and saying he can't believe not one person is here that would enter the ring with him. He says that's probably for the best cause messing with The Family ain't good for one's health. Know what I'm saying?
Suddenly the Bill Conti Overture hits and out steps Jerry Lawler!
The Memphis crowd goes nuts and "The King" takes to the mic. He says that we can all hear what Don Muraco's saying. We just aren't buying what he's selling. Lawler claims that the only thing Italians are the best at are running their mouths and larceny. But then Muraco knows all about that being he stole that Title from "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka!
Muraco looks pissed and waves Jerry into the ring.
Major League Championship Match: Don Muraco vs. Jerry Lawler
Don Muraco and Jerry Lawler lock up as soon as Frank Parker starts the match. Lawler ends up pulling away however when it becomes obvious "The Don" has the power advantage. Lawler comes back swinging however and the two men trade chops and punches until Jerry takes Muraco down to the mat with a snapmare and catches him with a rear chinlock. Don's strength once again comes into play when he grabs Jerry by both arms freeing himself as he rises to his feet, kicks "The King" in the gut and hits him with a Samoan drop. Jerry is quick to recover however and is already back up on one knee as Muraco begins raining punches down on his skull. Jerry manages to block a few shots and hits the Champ with a quick inverted atomic drop! Don however manages to stay mostly on his feet as he staggers back from the blow; but Lawler keeps the heat on and whips Don across the ring. Because he can move however he hits a snag literally when Don Montoya grabs his foot from the outside! He turns and kicks at the younger Don's hands only to be clubbed with a diving clothesline to the back by Muraco on the rebound. Back in control of the match Don Muraco puts the boots to Jerry whom he soon lifts up to his feet and hits with the Muraco Hammer! This could be it! 1!... 2!... Jerry kicks out. He is still dazed however and Don hits him with a knee drop. Staying down on one knee he grabs Jerry by the head and begins hammering on him. Lifting "The King" to his feet Don whips Jerry into the ropes and hits him with a leg to the gut on the rebound. He picks Lawler up again and moves to whip him; but Jerry won't budge! He has grabbed the rope and while Muraco is still distraced he scoops him up for a back body drop! Muraco crashes to the ground hard and Jerry is right on top of him with an elbow drop. He hits another before dragging Muraco into the center of the ring where he hits him with a jumping leg drop befor climbing up top. Jerry Lawler goes airborne and hits the Flying Fist Drop! But the count doesn't come? That pest Don Montoya is back up on the apron arguing with the ref! Leaving Muraco Jerry has Parker step aside before he lets Montoya have it with a hard right! He drops off the apron and a satisfied Lawler turns about to be scooped up into the air by Muraco who's going for a military press slam! Jerry's eyes bug out of his head; but he manages to wiggle free sliding down behind the Champion whom he schoolboys! 1!....2!... "The Don" kicks free! Jerry keeps on top of him with a flurry of punches, but Muraco pushes him off of him! The two men trade punches with the fans cheering every time Lawler gets a hit and booing Muraco's strikes. Driving Jerry back into the ropes he lets "The King" have it with a headbutt dazing him before turning and flipping off the fans! This gives Jerry the time he needs to recover and he fires back on Muraco; but soon has his legs pulled out from under him again! The ref is busy being distracted by Montoya while Jerry turns this time seeing it's King Kong Bundy dragging him out of the ring! Lawler tries to fight him off; but Bundy gets him outside the ring and softens him up a bit before rolling him back into the ring; at which point Montoya hops down off the apron. Meanwhile inside the ring Don Muraco cockily swaggers over to Jerry and raises him up to one knee. He throws a punch at Jerry who looks clearly dazed, but still manages to grab his arm at the last moment. Muraco grins down at his opponent and yells "Fuggedaboutit!" at him before pulling back his other arm for a clubbing blow. Lawler shrugs and grins before hitting "The Don" with a low blow right in front of the ref! He earns himself a DQ; but looks more than satisfied as he hops up to his feet and grabbing Muraco nails him with a pilderiver! Standing with one foot on "The Don's" chest Jerry raises his hands victoriosly as the crowd cheers him on!
His victory is shortlived however as Don Montoya and King Kong Bundy storm the ring and hand "The King" a sound beating. The arena however comes unglued as beer cans are hurled at the duo and just as Buck Zumhoff and Brian Lawler come in to make the save; some overzealous Memphis fans storm the ring!
Montoya and Bundy take this as their cue to leave and grabbing Don Muraco up they hurry from the arena with help from security! Buck, Brian; and Jerry meanwhile look a bit worried but the dup raise "The King" up on their shoulders celebrating his win.
One of the cameramen then runs out to the parking lot and we see the tail end of Don Muraco's limo as The Family haul ass out of there.
Inside Tommy Rich and Lord Alfred Hayes thank the fans for joining us here tonight and Hayes mentions something about maybe getting better security next time.
Lights Fade.
