MARC LAWRENCE stands in front of a World Class Championship Wrestling banner, and welcomes his co-host, SCOTT HUDSON.

MARC then welcomes the viewers watching at home to the World-famous Sportatorium, on the corner of Industrial and Cadiz, in beautiful downtown Dallas, for another episode of World Class Championship Wrestling!

SCOTT tells us that, starting in January, they’ll be taking the show on the road, and says that they will be taping World Class Championship Wrestling at Cobo Hall in Detroit on January 7, the World-renowned Cow Palace in San Francisco on January 14, they’ll be in Cincinnati on January 21, and the Denver Coliseum on January 28.

And, for the great wrestling fans north of the border, World Class Championship Wrestling will be at the Northlands Coliseum in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on February 25.

MARC talks about tomorrow night’s event at the Alamodome in San Antonio, where a new World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned.  He says that they have another big night coming up as well . . . December 25, the return of the CHRISTMAS STAR WARS!!

The event will take place at the Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas and will be shown live on ESPN.  One match has already been signed, the Samoan Swat Team will meet the All-Asian Tag Team Champions Tatsumi Fujinami and Shinya Hashimoto, and the winners will be crowned World Tag Team Champions!  More matches will be announced in the coming weeks.


At this time, TEXAS HANGMAN JESSE BARR storms out to the broadcast table.

BARR says this is a travesty, he was SCREWED out of a shot at the World Title by a crooked referee!  He demands that they show what happened last week, between him and Scott Norton.


Norton picks up the pinfall after a vicious powerslam.  Barr complains to referee Nick Patrick about a fast count, but Nick tells him that the decision is final!  Barr throws a temper tantrum, and clocks Patrick!

It looks as though Barr might continue his assault on poor Nick Patrick, but Scott Norton jumps back into the ring and chases Barr off before helping the ref to his feet.


BARR says it’s crystal clear, Scott Norton had ahold of his trunks during the pin.  The referee saw it, but didn’t do anything about it, he just went right on counting!

MARC says that as a result of the attack on Nick Patrick, Barr has been fined $10,000.

BARR says he doesn’t care about that, what he cares about is the fact that Patrick’s incompetence cost him a shot at the World Title, and let’s face it, there’s no doubt that he would have won the tournament and walked away with the belt.  He says that Scott Norton and Nick Patrick have denied fans the world over a chance to see their hero, the Texas Hangman, as the Heavyweight Champion of the World.

Jesse grabs a nearby chair.

BARR says this is what’s going to happen.  He’s going out to the ring, he’s going to have a seat right in the middle of the ring . . . and he’s not going to move until Scott Norton comes back out and gives him what is rightfully his, the spot in the World Title tournament!


With that, Barr takes the chair, and the noose that he carries around with him, and heads to the ring.  Jesse sets the chair up in the middle of the ring.

MARC sends us to our first commercial break.

Back from the break, Jesse Barr is still sitting in the middle of the ring, calling for Norton to come out.

A moment later, SCOTT NORTON appears, and walks down the aisle towards the ring.

NORTON says he’s not going to give him the spot, he beat Barr, he earned that spot.  But, since he enjoyed kicking Barr around last week, he’d be glad to wrestle him again, right here today . . . and if Barr beats him, Jesse can have his spot in the tournament.

BARR agrees, and tosses the chair out of the ring as Norton charges down the aisle and slides into the ring.

BONI BLACKSTONE comes down the ring, and introduces the competitors for this impromptu match-up.


“TEXAS HANGMAN” JESSE BARR v. SCOTT NORTON – Barr gives Norton a run for his money, but just as he did last week, Norton connects with a wicked powerslam, and gets the pinfall.


BARR throws another tantrum, and this time he attacks Norton, hitting the big man with an elbow to the back of the head, while Dennis Stamp was raising Norton’s hand.

JESSE proceeds to stomp a mudhole in Norton, then grabs the noose that he carries to the ring with him.  Barr takes the noose . . . and puts it around Norton’s neck!

NORTON is dazed, and is unable to fight Barr off.  Jesse drags Norton towards the ropes . . .

FANS, HE’S GOING TO HANG SCOTT NORTON!!!

Fortunately for Norton, a group of referees, and other wrestlers, hit the ring and put a stop to it, chasing Barr from the ring.


BARR storms over to the broadcast table and joins Marc and Scott.

BARR says that once again, Scott Norton has cheated him out of a shot at the World Title.  But, all of his fans can rest easy, he assures them that, while he may not get a shot at the World Title, he will make the big musclehead pay, and pay dearly.

Barr then storms off.

MARC talks a little about what we just saw, and says that Scott Norton is not going to take this lightly.

SCOTT says he doesn’t envy Jesse Barr at all, as Scott Norton is known to be a very dangerous individual!


MARC talks about “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig, and the videos we’ve seen over the past two weeks.  He says that they have another one, and introduces the video.


We see Hennig standing on a football field, holding a football.  Hennig turns to the camera, and says that he is going to show everyone watching at home how to throw the perfect pass!

Hennig launches the ball into the air, the camera follows it as it flies through the air, a perfect spiral!  The ball travels almost the whole length of the field!

The clip cuts to Curt running down the field.  He reaches the endzone . . . just in time to catch the pass!

Hennig looks into the camera, the ever-present smirk on his face, and says that’s how you throw a “perfect” pass!


SCOTT says that Hennig has a very high opinion of himself, but says that Curt can back it up in the ring, as he’s one of the top wrestlers in the World today, and has to be considered one of the favourites to walk out of the Alamodome tomorrow night as the new World Heavyweight Champion.

MARC says that the Samoan Swat Team will be in action after the break.

SAMOAN SWAT TEAM (w/ Skandor Akbar) v. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS & THE COBRA – The SST make short work of their opponents.  With Akbar barking orders from ringside, Samu finishes Cobra off with a splash off the top rope.


DEVASTATION, INC. joins Marc and Scott at the broadcast table after the match.

MARC talks about the upcoming World Title tournament, and says that both Cactus Jack and the Barbarian will be a part of the tournament.

AKBAR is smiling from ear to ear, and says December is going to be a big month for Devastation, Inc!  First, tomorrow night, with both Jack and the Barbarian in the tournament, he’s confident that one of them will come away with the belt.  In fact, he wouldn’t be surprised if it comes down to Jack and the Barbarian in the finals!

SCOTT wonders what would happen to Devastation Inc if Jack and the Barbarian were forced to wrestle each other in the finals.

AKBAR says nothing would happen, they could SHARE the belt!

MARC says you can’t share a Championship belt

AKBAR says that when you have the money and the resources that he does, you can do whatever you want!

SKANDOR then talks about Christmas night, at Star Wars, where his Samoan Swat Team will destroy Fujinami and Hashimoto to become World Tag Team Champions.

December will be the month that Devastation Inc brings home all the gold, and takes over World Class Championship Wrestling.

AKBAR lets out a maniacal laugh, and then leads his men away.


MARC says that one of the more unusual competitors to come to World Class Championship Wrestling is a man who calls himself Papa Shango.  He says that we have some footage of Shango, and the fans can see for themselves just what he’s talking about.


Papa Shango stands in a dark room, holding a book.  He reads from the book, and after each page, he rips the page out, and it bursts into flames.

Shango turns his attention to the camera, and says that shortly, the World will witness the power of his voodoo, and anyone that dares face him in the ring, he will turn them into his zombie!

The camera zooms out, as Shango laughs, and then the whole scene bursts into flames!!!


MARC says that Papa Shango is a strange individual, and says that fans will get their first glimpse of Papa Shango in action tomorrow night at the Alamodome, as he faces Tony Halme in a non-tournament match.

“THE HEARTBREAK KID SHAWN MICHAELS and KEVIN VON ERICH join Marc and Scott at the broadcast table.

MARC says that both men will be involved in the tournament tomorrow night at the Alamodome, to crown a new World Heavyweight Champion.

SCOTT says that Michaels has wrestled all over the World, and has held plenty of titles in other companies, but has never been World Champion.

HBK says that it has been his dream since he got into wrestling, to become World Champion, and he couldn’t ask for a better setting, than San Antonio, in front of all of his friends and family.  Michaels says that he’s going to go out there tomorrow night and give 110% and hopes to leave the Alamodome as the new Champion!

MARC says that Kevin, on the other hand, along with holding some very prestigious titles, such as the American Title, was World Class World Heavyweight Champion a few years back, holding the belt for almost a year.  That’s the reason why Kevin, along with Chris Adams, was given an automatic spot in the tournament.

KEVIN says that he’s held the belt before, and would love nothing more than to hold it again.

SCOTT says it’s always a pleasure talking with the two of them, and wishes them luck in the tournament.

KEVIN and HBK both wish each other luck in the tournament, and shake hands before leaving the broadcast area.

SCOTT says that there are two other matches that will take place at the Alamodome as well.  In the first, Tony Halme squares off with the mysterious Papa Shango, and the other will be a women’s tag team match between the Crush Girls and the team of Tiger Dream and Chapparita Asari!

MARC sends us to the ring.

BONI BLACKSTONE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the next match.


TATSUMI FUJINAMI & SHINYA HASHIMOTO v. BRUISER BEDLAM & MR. X – Fujinami and Hashimoto are like a finely-tuned machine, they methodically wear their opponents down, and Hashimoto gets the win for the team after dropping Mr. X on his head with a brainbuster, then pinning him.


MARC says that they have some news regarding what took place earlier.  Due to the attack on a World Class official last week, and the dastardly attack on Scott Norton this week, Jesse Barr has been fined and suspended indefinitely for his actions.

SCOTT informs us that after the break, we will take a look at an incident that took place last week, involving the Fantastics and the Beverly Brothers.

SCOTT talks about what went down last week, between the Fantastics and the Beverly Brothers.

Before they show the video, Scott and Marc welcome THE FANTASTICS to the broadcast area.


BOBBY FULTON gets in Blake Beverly’s face, and says that this is his and Tommy’s interview time, not theirs.

BEAU shoves Fulton aside, and tells him to take a hike, nobody cares what he or Rogers have to say anyways.

MARC tries to calm the two teams down, but it’s no use.

Fulton shoves Beau Beverly back, and Beau takes a swing at him!  Fulton is able to back out of the way, and Beau misses.  Fulton then nails Beau Beverly with a big right hand that sends Beau staggering.

Blake Beverly nails Fulton with an elbow to the back of the head that puts Bobby on the floor.  Tommy Rogers attacks Blake and we’ve got a full-out brawl!!

The two teams brawl away from the broadcast table, and make their way towards the ring.  They brawl around ringside, then they climb into the ring, and continue the battle!

In the ring, Fulton and Rogers, who are in street clothes, get the upper hand, until Blake rolls out of the ring, and grabs a ringside chair.  He slides it into the ring, and Beau grabs it, and cracks Fulton over the head with it!

Beau then turns his attention to Rogers . . . but Tommy is ready, he delivers a dropkick THAT SENDS THE CHAIR RIGHT BACK INTO BEAU’S FACE!!!

Blake grabs another chair, then jumps into the ring and bashes Tommy Rogers in the back of the head with it!

With both Fantastics down on the mat, Blake throws the chair down, and he and Beau taunt some ringside fans as we go to a commercial break.


MARC says that the Beverly Brothers are not here today.

FULTON says that the Beverly Brothers wanted a fight, well now they’ve got one, and challenges Beau and Blake to wrestle him and Tommy right here next week!

ROGERS says that the attack by the Beverly Brothers last week cost him the opportunity to wrestle for the World Title.  He says that next week, he and Bobby are going to put the Beverly’s in their place.


BONI BLACKSTONE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the first match.


BAM BAM BIGELOW v. VIRGIL – Bigelow pounds Virgil into the mat, then squashes him with a moonsault for the pinfall.

MARC says that before we get to our main event, which will feature Cactus Jack against Brutus Beefcake, we have a special video to air, featuring Chris Adams and Lord Alfred Hayes.


Lord Alfred Hayes and Chris Adams are walking down the street in downtown Dallas.  Mr. Hughes stays a few steps behind them, a scowl on his face.

HAYES brushes up against someone, and gets a disgusted look on his face.  He pulls out a hankerchief, and wipes the sleeve of his shirt.

ALFRED complains to Adams that the people here in America are filthy, and it seems that everywhere they go, smells of horse manure.  He wonders why Adams ever wanted to come back here.

ADAMS says that the only reason he’s here is to become World Heavyweight Champion.  He says that he hates America, and all the people here, they’re all rednecks.  He says that once he wins the World Title, he’s taking it home to England, where the people have class, and they appreciate his talent.

At that point, someone stops and tries to talk to Adams, but he tells them to get lost, and Mr. Hughes quickly shoves them out of the way, as Adams and Hayes keep walking.

HAYES says he can’t even find a decent cup of tea in this country, and then says that he can’t wait until Adams wins the World Title on December 5, so they can get out of this country.

ADAMS then tells the camera man to get out of his face, and they walk off, leaving the camera man behind, facing a scowling Mr. Hughes.


MARC says that those two are quite the pair, and says that while Adams is a very talented wrestler, he may be underestimating the other competitors in this tournament.

SCOTT says that Adams and Hayes are pompous jerks, and he hopes that Adams gets put in his place tomorrow night in San Antonio!


BONI BLACKSTONE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the first match.


CACTUS JACK (w/ Skandor Akbar) v. BRUTUS BEEFCAKE – Brutus is no slouch, and he gives Jack a tough match, but in the end, Jack gets the win after nailing Brutus with the Double Arm DDT, leading to the pinfall.


MARC thanks the fans at home for watching, and he and Scott wrap up the show as the credits begin to roll.

THE CRUSH GIRLS (Chigusa Nagayo & Lioness Asuka) v. TIGER DREAM & CHAPPARITA ASARI – The women put on a great, fast-paced tag team match.  The match comes to an end when, with all four women in the ring at the same time, Chapparita Asari goes to the top rope, and attempts the Skytwister Press on a fallen Chigusa Nagayo.  At the last second, Lioness Asuka pulls her tag team partner out of the way, and Asari crashes into the mat.

Then, Nagayo is able to drape an arm over Asari, while Lioness Asuka keeps Tiger Dream from breaking it up.  Nagayo gets the 3-count on Asari to win the match for her team.


PAPA SHANGO (w/ Marie the Voodoo Queen) v. TONY HALME – A mysterious woman comes to the ring with Shango, who ring announcer Boni Blackstone refers to as Marie the Voodoo Queen.  Shango wins a tough match after delivering a Shoulderbreaker on Halme.

After the match, Shango put a curse on Halme, who’s boots then burst into flames!


WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT

1ST ROUND:


KEVIN VON ERICH v. THE BARBARIAN (w/ Skandor Akbar) – Von Erich wins a tough match following a body press off the top rope, leading to the pinfall.  Kevin advances to the next round.


MARK YOUNGBLOOD v. “MR. PERFECT” CURT HENNIG – The popular Native American gives Hennig all he can handle.  Hennig takes control late in the match, when Youngblood leaps off the second rope with a big Tomahawk Chop.  Hennig sidesteps the move, and then clips Youngblood’s knee, putting Mark on the mat.  Hennig wears Youngblood down, focusing on the knee, and the applies a Leglock to get the submission.


“THE HEARTBREAK KID” SHAWN MICHAELS v. NORD THE BERZERKER – HBK takes a beating for most of the match from his much bigger opponent, but Michaels turns the tables, and puts Nord down with a Superkick, leading to the pinfall.


TATSUMI FUJINAMI v. CACTUS JACK (w/ Skandor Akbar) – Fujinami uses his scientific wrestling ability, and his speed, to keep Jack off his game early on.  When Cactus finally gets Fujinami down on the mat, he gives him a beating, but Fujinami keeps battling back.  Late in the match, Tatsumi has the advantage, but he’s distracted by Skandor Akbar, allowing Jack to clobber Fujinami from behind.  Jack then delivers the Double Arm DDT, and that’s all she wrote for Fujinami.


BARRY WINDHAM v. BAM BAM BIGELOW – Windham wins a tough match-up.  Bigelow puts Barry on the mat with a huge headbutt, but when he goes to the top rope for the moonsault, Windham gets up, and nails Bigelow with a Super-plex for the pinfall.


SCOTT NORTON v. “GENTLEMAN” CHRIS ADAMS (w/ Lord Alfred Hayes & Mr. Hughes) – Norton’s size and strength advantage comes in handy, and he pummels Adams.  The tables turn, though, when JESSE BARR makes his way down to the ring!  Barr distracts Norton, and Adams connects with a vicious superkick to the back of the big man’s head.  Norton is out, and Adams gets the pinfall to advance in the tournament.


WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT

2nd ROUND:


KEVIN VON ERICH v. “MR. PERFECT” CURT HENNIG – These two put on a great, back-and-forth match.  Von Erich goes for the win when he attempts a flying body press from the top rope, but Hennig is able to use Von Erich’s momentum to roll him over, so he ends up with Kevin in a pinning predicament.  Von Erich kicks out, and the match continues.  Kevin and Curt end up going the full 30 minute time limit, and the match is declared a DRAW.

As a result, both men are eliminated from the tournament.


“THE HEARTBREAK KID” SHAWN MICHAELS v. CACTUS JACK (w/ Skandor Akbar) – With his friends and family cheering him on, Michaels wins the hard-hitting, brutal match after catching Jack with the Superkick for the pinfall.

Cactus doesn’t take the loss very well, and immediately attacks Michaels after the match!  Jack pummels HBK with rights and lefts, and then, with Michaels on the mat, Jack puts the boots to him.

Cactus then throws HBK out of the ring, and proceeds to slam Shawn’s head into the ringpost, busting him open!

From there, he drags Michaels over to the timekeeper’s table.  Everyone vacates the area as Jack slams HBK’s head into the table, then climbs up onto the table, pulling Michaels up with him . . .

CACTUS JACK PILEDRIVES SHAWN MICHAELS ON THE TIMEKEEPER’S TABLE!!!

Several wrestlers arrive on the scene, along with a group of referees, and they try to pull Cactus Jack off of his fallen opponent.  Jack is able to fight them off for a minute, and gets a few more shots in on an unconscious Shawn Michaels, but finally the group is able to drag Jack away from the ringside area.

HBK has to be helped to his feet and, with blood streaming down his face, he stumbles back to the locker room.  Several of the referees try to help him, but Michaels tells them he’s OK.


BARRY WINDHAM v. “GENTLEMAN” CHRIS ADAMS (w/ Lord Alfred Hayes & Mr. Hughes) – With Von Erich and Hennig both being eliminated, this match will determine who will go on to face Shawn Michaels in the finals, assuming Michaels is able to compete.

The two men put on a great wrestling match for the fans in attendance, and they go almost the full 30 minutes as well.  With about three minutes remaining in the time limit, Windham delivers a Bulldog, but when he pins Adams, the Gentleman drapes his leg over the bottom rope, breaking up the count.

Windham pulls Adams up, and looks like he’s going for a suplex, but Adams can’t even stand, he just slumps back to the mat.  Windham pulls him up again, and cinches him up . . . ADAMS BLOCKS IT AND ROLLS WINDHAM UP IN A SMALL PACKAGE!!!

Adams catches Windham completely off-guard with the small package, and Barry is unable to kick out in time.

Chris Adams advances to the finals of the tournament!


WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT

FINALS:


“THE HEARTBREAK KID” SHAWN MICHAELS v. “GENTLEMAN” CHRIS ADAMS (w/ Lord Alfred Hayes & Mr. Hughes) – HBK has his head heavily bandaged for this match, but within a few minutes, the bandage is soaked in blood.

Michaels fights valiantly, but seems weak from the loss of blood, and Adams takes full advantage, hitting Michaels with everything but the kitchen sink.  HBK just won’t stay down, as he kicks out of one pin attempt after another.

Michaels soon starts to make a comeback, and takes control of the match, but it’s short-lived, as Adams starts driving his fist into the cut on Michaels’ forehead, and Shawn’s face is soon a crimson mask.

But Michaels still won’t stay down.  When Adams goes for the Superkick, Michaels is ready, and grabs Adams foot.  He spins Adams around, and then drops him with a clothesline.  Michaels pulls Adams up, whips him into the ropes, and delivers a big back body drop that puts the Gentleman right back down on the mat.

Michaels pulls Adams up, and delivers a piledriver, but HBK doesn’t hook the leg when he covers him, and Adams is able to get a shoulder up at the last second.  Michaels then heads to the top rope, and with blood pouring out of the cut on his forehead, he leaps off the top rope with a huge FLYING ELBOWDROP!

Michaels connects with the elbowdrop, and covers Adams . . .

Last Sunday was a historic night at the Alamodome in San Antonio.  Shawn Michaels’ boyhood dream of becoming World Heavyweight Champion became a reality, as he beat three of the top wrestlers in the world, including Chris Adams in the finals, to win the tournament and the World Title.

SCOTT says that it’s been a bumpy road for Michaels, there was a time when most people thought that HBK’s arrogant attitude would be his undoing.  But Michaels matured, he focused on wrestling and got rid of the attitude, and it paid off for him.  Michaels is the new Heavyweight Champion of the World.

MARC tells us that we’ll see the tournament final, between Michaels and Adams, as today’s main event.  We’ll also hear from Michaels a little later on.

SCOTT sends us to the ring for the opening match.

TIGER DREAM v. CHAPPARITA ASARI – Tiger Dream, the female version of the popular Tiger Mask character, takes on the young rookie Asari in a friendly, scientific match-up.  Asari makes a good showing, but her inexperience shows when she goes to the top rope one too many times.  The final time, she’s caught by Tiger Dream, who suplexes Asari off the top.  From there, Tiger Dream delivers a Tiger Suplex for the pinfall.

Back from the break, Marc and Scott are joined at the broadcast table by World Class Commissioner HARLEY RACE.

RACE talks about the tournament last Sunday night in San Antonio, and congratulates Shawn Michaels on his victory.  He says that Michaels will be presented with the World Title belt later tonight.

HARLEY then asks that Kevin Von Erich and Curt Hennig come out.


KEVIN VON ERICH and “MR. PERFECT” CURT HENNIG both come out to the table.

RACE talks about their match in the second round of the tournament in San Antonio.

MARC says that we have a clip of the match...


Von Erich goes for the win when he attempts a flying body press from the top rope, but Hennig is able to use Von Erich’s momentum to roll him over, so he ends up with Kevin in a pinning predicament.  Von Erich kicks out, and the match continues.  Kevin and Curt end up going the full 30 minute time limit, and the match is declared a DRAW.


RACE says that, while both men were eliminated from the tournament, neither one actually lost.  So, he’s giving them a chance to wrestle for another title.  On December 25, at Christmas Star Wars, Hennig and Von Erich will wrestle for the vacant American Heavyweight Title!

HENNIG, with his ever-present smirk, tells Von Erich that Kevin got lucky on Sunday night, it was a fluke, and on Christmas night, there won’t be any fluke.  He says that after Christmas Star Wars, the fans will have an American Champion they can look up to . . . a PERFECT Champion!

With that, Hennig walks off.

VON ERICH says that loudmouth punk didn’t look so perfect on Sunday night, he says that he feels if there had been a little bit more time, he would have beaten Hennig.  He says that Christmas night, he’s going to beat Hennig, right in the middle of the ring, and shut him up for good.

KEVIN says that he wants to congratulate Shawn Michaels on winning the World Title on Sunday, he says that Michaels is a close family friend, he got his start in Texas, and he says that he always knew Michaels would be World Champion someday.


MARC says that the Christmas Star Wars is really shaping up to be a big night, we now know that two new Champions will be crowned, as the Samoan Swat Team meet Tatsumi Fujinami and Shinya Hashimoto for the vacant World Tag Team Titles, and Curt Hennig will meet Kevin Von Erich for the American Heavyweight Title.

SCOTT reminds us that the show will be broadcast live on ESPN from Reunion Arena.


BONI BLACKSTONE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the next match.


CACTUS JACK (w/ Skandor Akbar) v. CHRISTOPHER DANIELS – Jack destroys Daniels, beating him in under 2 minutes, using the Double Arm DDT to get the pinfall.

MARC and SCOTT are joined at the table by SCOTT NORTON.

MARC talks about the attack that took place last week...


Norton connects with a wicked powerslam, and gets the pinfall.

BARR throws another tantrum, and this time he attacks Norton, hitting the big man with an elbow to the back of the head, while Dennis Stamp was raising Norton’s hand.

JESSE proceeds to stomp a mudhole in Norton, then grabs the noose that he carries to the ring with him.  Barr takes the noose . . . and puts it around Norton’s neck!

NORTON is dazed, and is unable to fight Barr off.  Jesse drags Norton towards the ropes . . .

FANS, HE’S GOING TO HANG SCOTT NORTON!!!

Fortunately for Norton, a group of referees, and other wrestlers, hit the ring and put a stop to it, chasing Barr from the ring.


SCOTT says that World Class Championship Wrestling has fined Barr for his actions, and suspended him indefinitely.

NORTON shocks Marc and Scott by asking that the suspension be lifted!  When they ask why, he says that he wants to settle things with Barr himself, in the ring.  Norton says if Harley Race is listening, he would like Race to reinstate Barr, and sign another match between them.


SCOTT then sends us to a pre-taped segment with Boni Blackstone, who talked with the Honky Tonk Man recently.


Boni Blackstone is sitting beside Honky Tonk Man in a music studio.

HONKY says that he’s just putting the finishing touches on his latest album.

BONI asks if he can play her something off the album.

HONKY replies that she can wait to hear it, just like everybody else.  Honky then talks about coming to World Class, and says that he will be joining the commentary team.  He says that he’s tired of Hudson and Lawrence, and their bias, their blatant pandering to the so-called “popular” wrestlers.  He says that he is going to be completely impartial, and bring some dignity and professionalism to the World Class announce team!

HONKY then tells Boni that he’s got a lot of work to do, and tells her to get lost!


SCOTT talks about the fact that Marc will be taking over as ring announcer for the TV shows and live events, and then asks Marc if he will reconsider.

MARC laughs and says that he’s sure Scott will keep Honky in line.


BONI BLACKSTONE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the next match.


PAPA SHANGO (w/ Marie the Voodoo Queen) v. MARK YOUNGBLOOD – Youngblood puts up a good fight early on, but Shango eventually gets the better of him, and uses a shoulderbreaker to put Youngblood away.

After the match, Marie climbs into the ring . . . and holds up what looks to be a voodoo doll, and as the camera closes in on it, we can see that it’s done up like Youngblood!

She begins sticking pins in it, and Youngblood first clutches his left knee, then, after another pin is stuck in the doll, Youngblood doubles over in pain, holding his stomach.  Finally, she sticks one in the forehead of the doll . . . and blood begins to drip down Mark Youngblood’s face!


SCOTT talks a little about this rather bizaare duo, and mentions that they scare the heck out of him.

MARC and SCOTT talk about “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig, and Marc says that we now know that Hennig will meet Kevin Von Erich on Christmas night for the vacant American Heavyweight Title.

SCOTT says that before we see Kevin Von Erich in action, we have another video of Curt Hennig.


We see Hennig standing on a basketball court, beside him is a cart holding several basketballs.

HENNIG tells the camera that he is also a perfect basketball player, and will prove it by sinking 10 consecutive shots.

CURT starts, and sinks one ball after another.

After the 10th one, he turns back to the camera, and remarks that he is exactly what he says he is, and that’s absolutely PERFECT!

As Hennig walks away, he grabs one more ball, and with his back to the basket, he tosses the ball back over his shoulder.  A second later, we see the ball swish through the hoop as the video fades to black.


BONI BLACKSTONE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the next match.


KEVIN VON ERICH v. BRUISER BEDLAM – Von Erich gets the win after a flying bodypress off the top rope.


MARC and SCOTT are joined at the broadcast table by LORD ALFRED HAYES, “GENTLEMAN” CHRIS ADAMS and Lord Alfred’s bodyguard MR. HUGHES.

HAYES is upset about what took place last Sunday at the Alamodome.  He says that there’s no way that Adams should have lost to that pretty boy punk Shawn Michaels.  He says that the referee was biased, he must have been from San Antonio, that’s why he favoured HBK.  Hayes says that maybe they should start bringing in their own referees from England, because English refs always call things right down the middle, unlike these crooked American officials!

ADAMS says that what’s worse, now Michaels refuses to give him another shot at the belt, saying that Michaels would rather wrestle lesser opponents.

HAYES says that they are not going to stand for this, he has already contacted his lawyers, and they will make sure that Adams gets what he rightfully deserves, a FAIR shot at the World Heavyweight Title!

SCOTT says that Michaels has unfinished business with Cactus Jack at the moment, but says that he knows HBK will be a fighting Champion.  He says that he’s sure Adams will get his rematch soon enough.

HAYES scoffs, and says Michaels will only wrestle men he knows he can beat, like Cactus Jack, he wants no part of a REAL wrestler like the Gentleman.


HAYES and ADAMS continue to rant and rave, as Marc sends us to a commercial break.

When we come back, it’s main event time, as the Fantastics square off with the Beverly Brothers, and then Harley Race will present Shawn Michaels with the brand-new World Heavyweight Title belt.

MARC and SCOTT talk a little bit about the brawl that took place two weeks ago, between the Fantastics and the Beverly Brothers, that led to this match here today.


BONI BLACKSTONE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the next match.


THE FANTASTICS (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton) v. THE BEVERLY BROTHERS (Beau & Blake) – The Fantastics tear into the Beverly Brothers as soon as the bell ring, and don’t let up at all!  Blake and Beau can’t seem to get anything going early on, but a low blow by Blake on Tommy Rogers changes that.

The Beverly Brothers then spend the next few minutes working over Rogers, keeping him isolated in their corner, and constantly double-teaming him.

After several minutes of this, Rogers finally breaks free and dives to his corner, and makes the tag . . . but the Beverly Brothers distracted Nick Patrick . . . he didn’t see the tag!

Patrick forces Fulton back out of the ring, and the Beverly Bros. take the opportunity double-team Rogers some more.

FINALLY, Rogers is able to make the hot tag to Fulton, who comes in like a house o’ fire, and sends both Beverly Brothers from the ring.

Moments later, with Tommy Rogers still down and out on the ring apron, Fulton nails Beau Beverly with a legdrop off the top rope (ala Bobby Eaton), and goes for the pin.

Nick Patrick makes the count . . . ONE . . . TWO . . . the bell rings!

Fulton thinks they’ve won, he jumps up with his arms in the air, but it’s not to be.  Patrick is informed that the time limit has run out . . . the match is a DRAW!


The Beverly Brothers have recovered at this point, and they jump Fulton from behind and pummel him, until Tommy Rogers jumps in.

The two teams take their brawl to the floor, and eventually move down the aisle towards the locker room as we go to the final commercial break.

Back from the break, HARLEY RACE is in the ring, along with MARC and SCOTT.

RACE is holding a new, shiny title belt, and asks that Shawn Michaels come out to the ring.

Michaels’ theme music hits, and HBK makes his way down to the ring.  He slaps hands with the fans on the way down the aisle, and some of the women in attendance try to grab him and pull him right into the crowd.


RACE congratulates Michaels on his victory in the tournament, and presents him with the World Title belt.

MICHAELS, with tears welling up in his eyes, talks about how he’s dreamt of being World Champion since he was a kid, watching wrestling on TV.  He says that dream has finally come true, and says there was no better feeling than winning the belt in front of his friends and family in his hometown of San Antonio.

HBK goes on to talk about the brutal attack by Cactus Jack after their second-round match that nearly knocked Michaels out of the tournament.  He says that he’s got some unfinished business with Jack.

All of the sudden, SKANDOR AKBAR appears, and heads to the ring.


RACE tells Akbar that he has no business out here, but Akbar just ignores him.  He grabs the mic out of HBK’s hand.

AKBAR says that Michaels might want to be careful, because he knows that the last thing Michaels really wants is to get back in the ring with Cactus Jack!  He says that the only reason Michaels was able to even wrestle in the finals was because Jack allowed him to.  He says that Cactus could have not only put Michaels out of the tournament, but ended HBK’s career if he had wanted to.  He says it’s only due to his and Jack’s compassion that HBK is even still standing here today.  They took pity on him and let him leave the ring with his career still intact.

MICHAELS grabs the mic back out of Akbar’s hand, and says that he’s not afraid of Cactus Jack, he can’t wait to get Jack in the ring again, and pin his shoulders to the mat.  He’ll prove that Jack’s not so tough.

AKBAR just smiles.

What Michaels doesn’t see, is that Cactus Jack has come out of the audience, behind HBK, and climbs into the ring.

JACK clobbers Michaels from behind!  Jack puts the boots to the World Champion, and then pulls him up . . . and delivers the Double Arm DDT!

CACTUS isn’t done, he pulls Michaels up again . . . and gives him a SECOND DDT!

From there, Cactus grabs the World Title belt, and bashes Michaels over the head with it, then repeatedly drives the plate on the front into the forehead of Michaels, opening up the gash on Michaels’ forehead from last Sunday’s attack.

As the show ends, Jack holds Michaels’ head up to the camera, and the final image we see is HBK’s face, now a crimson mask, and Jack laughing maniacally!

We see Luger in action against several opponents.  The highlights focus on Luger’s time as a babyface, including clips of his NWA Title matches with Ric Flair in the late 80s.

The video ends with a clip of Lex Luger slamming Yokozuna aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid on July 4th.


SCOTT says that Luger is one of the biggest names in wrestling, and he’s on his way to World Class Championship Wrestling!

HONKY says that Luger’s debut on Christmas Night is going to be a disappointing one for his fans, because they’re going to witness Chris Adams knocking Luger out cold with the Superkick, and then pinning Luger’s shoulders to the mat!

THE BARBARIAN (w/ Skandor Akbar) v. JIM POWERS – Powers doesn’t stand a chance against the Barbarian.  With Akbar cheering him on from ringside, Barbarian pounds Powers into the mat, then catches him with a clothesline from the top rope, leading to the pinfall.


TODD PETTENGILL is with MR. PERFECT CURT HENNIG.

TODD says that next Saturday night, Hennig meets Kevin Von Erich for the vacant American Title.

HENNIG says that Kevin Von Erich may have been a big deal back in the day, but he’s washed up.  He goes on to talk about the legacy of the Von Erich family, and says that many people refer to them as the first family of wrestling.  Curt says that’s a bunch of crap, the REAL first family is the Hennig family!

CURT continues, saying that his father, Larry the Axe, could’ve beat Fritz Von Erich every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.  As for the rest of the Von Erichs, they were nothing but a bunch of whiny punks, who weren’t as good as they thought they were.

HENNIG wraps things up by promising not only a victory on Christmas Night, but an EASY victory, he says he won’t even break a sweat.

SCOTT says that last week, Scott Norton asked that Barr’s suspension be lifted, so that he could settle things with Jesse in the ring.

BARR laughs, and says Norton made the biggest mistake of his life!  He says that Christmas night, will be the end of Scott Norton.

HONKY says he can’t wait to see Norton get what he’s got coming to him.

BARR and HONKY shake hands, then Barr leaves the broadcast area.

SCOTT rolls his eyes, and says that Honky had the audacity to talk about Marc Lawrence being biased.

TODD talks about the matches that Devastation Inc. have coming up on Christmas night.  Cactus Jack meets Shawn Michaels for the World Title, and the Samoan Swat Team challenge Shinya Hashimoto and Tatsumi Fujinami for the vacant World Tag Team Titles.

AKBAR says it will be a good night for Devastation Inc, because after Christmas night, they will control the World Tag Titles AND the World Heavyweight Title!

TODD says that they have some tough competition.  Shawn Michaels made the point earlier, that the last time he and Jack met in a match, Michaels won by pinfall.  And Tatsumi Fujinami and Shinya Hashimoto are the reigning All-Asia Tag Team Champions in Japan.  They have won titles, as singles and as a team, all over the World.

AKBAR says that it doesn’t matter, his men are the most fearsome, the most dominant wrestlers in the World today.  No one can stop them!  Shawn Michaels got lucky in San Antonio, but it won’t happen again.  Cactus Jack will destroy the Heartbreak Kid!  As for Fujinami and Hashimoto, they might be good, but his Samoans are better!  He GUARANTEES that they will become World Tag Team Champions on Christmas night!


CACTUS JACK looks into the camera, and says Shawn Michaels will be lucky if he even makes it to Reunion Arena on Christmas night!  He says that he’s got Michaels in a match right here today, and says that what he did to Michaels last week will pale in comparison to what he’s got in store for him today.

The Samoan Swat Team heads to the ring, as Todd sends us back to Scott Hudson and the Honky Tonk Man.

THE FANTASTICS v. BRUISER BEDLAM & DAMIEN DEMENTO – The Fantastics win a tough match after nailing Bruiser Bedlam with a double dropkick, then Tommy Rogers pinned him while Fulton kept Demento from getting involved.  Afterwards, Demento stormed around the ring, screaming for the voices to stop, voices that apparently only he could hear.


MARC LAWRENCE interviews THE FANTASTICS at ringside after the match.

MARC says that they’ve had problems with the Beverly Brothers lately.


Fulton shoves Beau Beverly back, and Beau takes a swing at him!  Fulton is able to back out of the way, and Beau misses.  Fulton then nails Beau Beverly with a big right hand that sends Beau staggering.

Blake Beverly nails Fulton with an elbow to the back of the head that puts Bobby on the floor.  Tommy Rogers attacks Blake and we’ve got a full-out brawl!!

The two teams brawl away from the broadcast table, and make their way towards the ring.  They brawl around ringside, then they climb into the ring, and continue the battle!

In the ring, Fulton and Rogers, who are in street clothes, get the upper hand, until Blake rolls out of the ring, and grabs a ringside chair.  He slides it into the ring, and Beau grabs it, and cracks Fulton over the head with it!

Beau then turns his attention to Rogers . . . but Tommy is ready, he delivers a dropkick THAT SENDS THE CHAIR RIGHT BACK INTO BEAU’S FACE!!!

Blake grabs another chair, then jumps into the ring and bashes Tommy Rogers in the back of the head with it!



MARC says that the two teams met in the ring in last week’s main event, but the match ended in a time limit draw.  A rematch has been signed for Christmas Star Wars, live on ESPN on Christmas night.

FULTON talks about everything that’s happened between them and the Beverly Brothers, and says that they’re going to settle the score on Christmas night at Reunion Arena.

ROGERS promises their fans that they’ll be victorious on Christmas night, and then says that they’ll be setting their sights on the World Tag Team Titles.


MARC then sends us to Todd Pettengill.


TODD PETTENGILL is joined by KEVIN VON ERICH.

TODD says that Kevin has a big match coming up on Christmas night, against Curt Hennig, for the vacant American Title.

KEVIN says that he heard the comments that Hennig made earlier about his family.  He says that’s fine, Hennig can run his mouth all he wants, because it’s going to make it that much better when Kevin beats him in the ring on Christmas night and wins the American Title!

VON ERICH says that Curt made the comment that the Hennig’s were the first family of wrestling.  He says that Curt and his father have both had a lot of success, but he knows, and these fans know, that they just don’t match up to the Von Erich family!

The Dallas fans in attendance at the Sportatorium seem to agree, as they cheer loudly for Kevin.

KEVIN goes to say that he can’t even begin to explain how much the fans’ support means to him, and he hopes they’ll all come out to Reunion Arena on Christmas night, and if they can’t make it, he hopes they’ll watch on ESPN as he beats Curt Hennig and becomes the American Champion once again.


TODD thanks Kevin, and wishes him luck on Christmas night, before sending us to our final commercial break.

NON-TITLE MATCH
“THE HEARTBREAK KID” SHAWN MICHAELS v. CACTUS JACK (w/ Skandor Akbar) – The two men tear into each other before the opening bell.  The battle in, and outside, the ring, with referee Dennis Stamp trying desperately to keep order in the match.

Late in the match, Dennis Stamp gets caught between the two wrestlers, and is knocked to the mat.

After a minute or so of brawling, Michaels gets the upper hand, and nails Jack with the Superkick!

HBK covers his opponent, but Stamp is still down and out.  Michaels has Jack covered for what must be at least an 8 count, but there’s no referee.

At that point, someone appears in the aisleway, and charges to the ring...

ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER!!!


ABDULLAH climbs into the ring, and attacks Michaels from behind!  Abby jabs Michaels in the head repeatedly with his fork, opening up the cut on Michaels’ head that was caused last week by Cactus Jack.

ABBY then delivers a vicious chop to the throat that puts Michaels back down on the mat.

At that point, Dennis Stamp is starting to stir, so Abdullah jumps out of the ring.  Cactus Jack pulls Michaels back up, and delivers the Double Arm DDT, then covers him.

Dennis Stamp is in position...

Cactus Jack has pinned World Champion Shawn Michaels in this non-title match, though an assist should go to Abdullah the Butcher.


After the decision, Skandor Akbar calls for the Barbarian and the Samoan Swat Team, while Abdullah climbs back into the ring.  Abby and Jack continue to assault Michaels, while the rest of Devastation Inc keep anyone else from getting involved.

Wrestlers spilled out into the aisleway, attempting to help Shawn Michaels, but Akbar, Barbarian and the Samoans kept them all at bay.

Finally, the Fantastics and Kevin Von Erich rushed out, and they brawled with the Samoans.  At that point, Brutus Beefcake rushed down the aisle, with a chair in hand.

BRUTUS clocked Barbarian over the head with the chair, while the Fantastics and Von Erich kept the Samoans busy.

BEEFCAKE then jumped into the ring and bashed Abdullah over the head with the chair, while Cactus Jack wisely got out of dodge.

The babyfaces all climbed into the ring, and helped Brutus get Michaels up to his feet.  They helped him to the back, as Cactus Jack celebrated in the aisle, and said that the World Title would soon be his!


HUDSON wraps up the show, as Honky talks about how that was the greatest thing he’d ever seen.

SCOTT says that Jack has defeated Shawn Michaels in this non-title match, with help from Abdullah the Butcher.  The two will meet again on Christmas Night, live on ESPN, this time with the World Title on the line!
