MARC LAWRENCE and SCOTT HUDSON stand at ringside.
MARC welcomes the viewers watching at home to the Will Rogers Coliseum, in the gateway to the West, Fort Worth Texas, and the return of World Class Championship Wrestling!
SCOTT takes a minute to introduce himself, and says that World Class Championship Wrestling is back and better than ever, and he’s happy to be a part of it!
MARC then introduces a man who World Class fans, as well as wrestling fans all across North America, know very well . . . KEVIN VON ERICH!! He says that Kevin will be staying with them for the remainder of the show, to provide his thoughts on the action they’ll be seeing.
KEVIN says it’s such a great feeling, to have World Class back on the air, and he thanks the fans for inviting them into their homes this evening.
MARC gets right down to business, and talks about a tournament coming up on Sunday night, December 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. 12 of the top wrestlers in the World will compete in this tournament, and the winner will be crowned the new Heavyweight Champion of the World!
SCOTT says that Kevin will be taking part in the tournament, and as a former multi-time American and Texas Champion, he has been given a spot in the tournament, and won’t be wrestling in a qualifying match. As well, Chris Adams, as a former WCCW World Champion, has been included in the tournament as well.
KEVIN says that there will be a lot of tough competitors taking part in that tournament, they’ll all be looking to leave the Alamodome with the biggest prize in wrestling, the Heavyweight Championship of the World. He’s going to go out and give 110%, and hopefully he’ll walk away with the belt!
MARC says that the other 10 spots will be filled this week and next week, in qualifying matches. The first qualifying match will take place shortly, as Tatsumi Fujinami squares off with the dangerous Damien Demento.
SCOTT says that when we return from the break, we’ll talk with World Class commissioner, former Heavyweight Champion of the World, HARLEY RACE!

BONI BLACKSTONE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the first match.
TATSUMI FUJINAMI v. DAMIEN DEMENTO – Fujinami wins the match, and a spot in the World Title tournament, after catching Demento with a Tiger Suplex for the pinfall. Throughout the match, Damien seemed distracted by voices that only he could hear, he spent more time screaming at these voices than he did wrestling Fujinami.
After the match, HARLEY RACE joins Marc, Scott and Kevin at the broadcast table.
MARC welcomes Harley to the show, and says that the fans will no doubt be seeing a lot of him, as he has been named Commissioner here in World Class, he will oversee the entire promotion.
RACE says that it’s a big job, but he’s up to it. He says that he will make sure that law and order prevail in World Class.
SCOTT asks Harley about the upcoming World Heavyweight Title tournament.
HARLEY says that the single elimination tournament will take place on Sunday night, December 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. As Scott and Marc mentioned earlier, Kevin Von Erich and Chris Adams have been given byes past the qualifying round, and have guaranteed spots in the first round of the tournament. As well, Tatsumi Fujinami qualified just a few minutes ago.
MARC asks if Harley can tell us who will be involved in the rest of the qualifying matches?
HARLEY says that in matches set to take place throughout tonight’s episode, The Barbarian meets Virgil, Mark Youngblood takes on the mysterious Mr. X, Bam Bam Bigelow meets Japanese sensation Shinya Hashimoto. And, the feature bout of the show, the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels squares off with Buddy Landell!
Then, on next week’s show, Nord the Berzerker meets Tony Halme, Scott Norton will wrestle Tex Slazenger, Curt Hennig goes up against Brutus Beefcake, Barry Windham takes on Beau Beverly, and in next week’s main event, Cactus Jack squares off with one-half of the Fantastics, Tommy Rogers.
MARC thanks Harley for talking with them, and then says that they have a video package to show the fans, of one of the wrestlers hoping to earn a spot in that tournament, a man who refers to himself as “Mr. Perfect”, Curt Hennig.
We see Hennig on a baseball diamond, at home plate, waiting on a pitch. He points the bat towards the left field wall, ala Babe Ruth. The pitch comes in, and Hennig connects. The ball sails to left field, and clears the wall!
Hennig addresses the camera, and with a smirk on his face, says he is what he says he is, and that’s absolutely perfect!”
SCOTT says that Hennig has made a name for himself in the Midwest and in the Northeast. He says that calling himself perfect may be a stretch, but Hennig is definitely one of the top wrestlers in the World at this point.

Back from the break, Marc, Scott and Kevin are joined by SKANDOR AKBAR, CACTUS JACK, THE BARBARIAN and SAMU & FATU, THE SAMOAN SWAT TEAM!
AKBAR introduces the viewing audience to the new and improved DEVASTATION, INC!
AKBAR demands that Harley Race come back out, because he has something to discuss with him!
RACE makes his way back out, and asks Akbar what he wants.
AKBAR says that his team, the Samoan Swat Team, were the World Tag Team Champions the last time they were here, but they were kicked out of World Class, and stripped of the belts. He says that they never lost them in the ring, and now that the titles are vacant, he DEMANDS that Race give the belts back to the Samoans.
RACE says he’s not about to just give them the belts, but says that Akbar does have a point, they never lost the belts in the ring, so he’ll give them a chance to regain them, on Christmas night at Reunion Arena, against the reigning All-Asia Tag Team Champions from Japan, Shinya Hashimoto and Tatsumi Fujinami!
AKBAR seems pleased by this, and says that Fujinami and Hashimoto don’t stand a chance against the Samoans, and says the fans are looking at the next World Tag Team Champions!
HARLEY leaves the ringside area, and Akbar goes on to talk about the two other men in Devastation Inc . . . the Barbarian, and the man who has ended more careers than anyone else, Cactus Jack!
CACTUS, in his own unique way, talks about what he’s going to do to the other wrestlers in World Class.
MARC says that both Jack and the Barbarian will be in qualifying matches for the World Title tournament, the Barbarian faces Virgil shortly, and Jack will face Tommy Rogers next week.
JACK smiles, and says he hates pretty boys like Rogers, and says that Tommy won’t be so pretty after he gets through with him!
As Akbar leads the Barbarian to the ring for his qualifying match, Marc says that, for the fans who may not have seen Cactus Jack in action before, they have some footage for them. He warns them, though, that what they are about to see is not for the faint of heart.
We see footage of Cactus Jack destroying several wrestlers, mainly from squash matches during his time in WCW. It ends with Jack delivering the Double-Arm DDT to Sting on the wood ramp, during their Falls Anywhere match from Beach Blast ’92.
SCOTT says Jack is a deranged individual, who gets his joy in life from watching others suffer.
MARC says we’ll see the Barbarian face Virgil in another qualifying match right after the break.

BONI BLACKSTONE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the next match.
THE BARBARIAN (w/ Skandor Akbar) v. VIRGIL – Barbarian overpowers the former boxer, and picks up the win after a flying clothesline from the top rope.
After the match, Marc, Scott and Kevin are joined at the broadcast table by THE HEARTBREAK KID SHAWN MICHAELS.
MARC says that Michaels has made a name for himself, wrestling all over the country, but he got his start here in Texas.
MICHAELS says that he grew up not far from here, in San Antonio, and while he has wrestled in a lot of places, his heart has always been right here, in Texas!
KEVIN says he remembers watching Michaels train with Jose Lothario, back in the early 80s, and says that he’s always been impressed by Michaels.
MICHAELS thanks him, and says that the feeling is mutual. Michaels says that the Von Erich brothers were the reason that he got into wrestling in the first place.
SCOTT talks about the upcoming World Title tournament, and says that Michaels will try to qualify for the tournament, as he meets Buddy Landell in tonight’s main event.
MICHAELS says that he’s going to put Landell down for the 1,2,3 later tonight, and will go on to compete in the tournament. He says that on December 5, he’s going to go out and give it all he’s got, and says that it would be a dream come true to win the World Title in front of his friends and family in San Antonio!
MARC, KEVIN and SCOTT all wish Michaels luck, as HBK leaves the broadcast area.
MARC says that with Kevin taking part in the tournament as well, it could come down to him and Michaels in the finals.
KEVIN says if that happens, he can guarantee the fans that it would be one heck of a match!
SCOTT talks about “Gentleman” Chris Adams, and says that we have a pre-taped interview with Adams, and his manager Lord Alfred Hayes.
Chris Adams and Lord Alfred Hayes sit in a room, with Hayes sipping on a cup of tea.
ADAMS says that there was a time when he ruled the roost in Texas, and now that World Class is back on the air, it’s time for him to reclaim is rightful place as the King of Texas!
HAYES says he’s familiar with most of the wrestlers that will be competing in World Class, saying that they’re nothing more than a bunch of brutes and savages. He says it’s a shame that a man as refined as the Gentleman must be forced to wrestle such men, as they are not even in the same league as Chris Adams.
ADAMS says that he’s going to come to San Antonio, he’s going to wrestle circles around the 11 other men in that tournament, and he will walk away as the World Heavyweight Champion.
HAYES says he can’t wait for that, so that he and Adams can return to England with the belt, where the fans have class, they appreciate Adams and his vast talent.
Back at the Will Rogers Coliseum, Marc says that Chris Adams, as a former World Champion here in World Class, has been given a bye right into the tournament.
SCOTT says that he hopes Kevin gets his hands on Adams in the tournament in San Antonio, and gives him an attitude adjustment!
After the break, Mark Youngblood will face Mr. X in another qualifying match.

BONI BLACKSTONE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the next match.
MARK YOUNGBLOOD v. MR. X – Youngblood wins a tough match against the mysterious masked man, after nailing X with a series of tomahawk chops.
MARC says that next week we will see one-half of the Fantastics, Tommy Rogers, in a qualifying match for the World Title tournament. Rogers will face the devious Cactus Jack. Right now, we’ve got a special video of the Fantastics, who are one of the top teams in wrestling today.
We see footage of the Fantastics, Tommy Rogers and Bobby Fulton, set to “Jump” by Van Halen. We see the Fantastics working out in the gym, then clips of some of their matches, and even some clips of Tommy and Bobby away from the ring.
The video ends with footage of the Fantastics getting mobbed by fans after a victory, and signing autographs.
After the video ends, Marc sends us back up to Boni Blackstone, who announces the competitors for the next match.
BAM BAM BIGELOW v. SHINYA HASHIMOTO – Hashimoto, one half of the All-Asia Tag Team Champions in Japan, gave Bigelow all he could handle. But in the end, it’s Bigelow who gets his hand raised after stopping Hashimoto dead in his tracks with a low blow, followed up by a devastating headbutt that put Shinya flat on his back on the mat. From there, Bigelow went to the top rope and showed off his agility by delivering a picture-perfect Moonsault on Hashimoto for the pinfall.

SCOTT says it’s time for the main event of the evening, as the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels meets Buddy Landell, in a qualifying match for the upcoming World Title tournament.
BONI BLACKSTONE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the evening’s final match.
“THE HEARTBREAK KID” SHAWN MICHAELS v. BUDDY LANDELL – Landell spends the first few minutes taunting the ringside fans. Michaels has had enough of Buddy’s stalling, and he comes up behind Buddy, grabs him by the hair, and pulls him into the ring! The match goes back and forth for about 10 minutes, before Michaels gets the upper hand, and connects with a back suplex. Buddy kicks out at the count of 2, but when he gets to his feet, he’s met with a superkick from Michaels. This time Buddy’s down for the count, and Michaels advances to the tournament!
MARC, SCOTT and KEVIN thank the fans at home for watching, and run down the qualifying matches that will take place next week. Nord the Berzerker v. Tony Halme, Scott Norton v. Tex Slazenger, Curt Hennig v. Brutus Beefcake, Barry Windham v. Beau Beverly, and Cactus Jack v. Tommy Rogers.
MARC wraps up the show as the credits start to roll.
