Cris and I are switching promotions. I was happy with the draft but the more I settled down to write the more I realized I missed a small promotion. Doing a big group is just too much for me to do it justice. There will be allot of changes in the NWA from today going forward. NWA Wrestling Catch up:
Fall Brawl '94
Diamond Dallas Page beat Scott Hall with the Diamond Cutter
Sabu defeated Jerry Lynn for the TV Title when Lynn's friend and rival The Kid turned on Lynn and helped Sabu win
Bam Bam Bigelow squashed Miguel Perez Jr. to be the only undefeated wrestler in the NWA.
Harlem Heat defeated The Smoking Gunns to retain the NWA Tag Team Titles
International Champion Ricky Steamboat was jumped and beat up in the locker room and was unable to compete in the Fatal Four Match. Bam Bam Bigelow was given his spot in the Fatal Four.
Owen Hart won the Fatal Four. The first elimination was Kevin Nash by Undertaker when DDP interfered and Diamond Cut Nash. Bam Bam Bigelow and the Undertaker ended up fighting each other on the floor and getting counted out, giving the win and the title shot to Owen Hart.
Bret Hart defeated Jim Neidhardt in a Steel Cage Match when he escaped the cage. Bret had to fight Owen off the top of the cage in order to escape.
After Fall Brawl:
International Champion Ricky Steamboat said it couldn't have been Bam Bam Bigelow who jumped him because he was watching Bigelow's match when it happened. Steamboat sets out to find out who was the person that attacked him and finds UWF CHAMPION THE GREAT MUTA?!?!?!?! Sonny Onoo, Muta's new manager reveals that Muta is now here in the NWA and wants revenge for the NWA putting the UWF under, and he is starting with Ricky Steamboat, a Muta vs. Steamboat match is signed for Starcade.
Kevin Nash says he will destroy Diamond Dallas Page and if he can't he and the Wolfpac will leave the NWA for good. Page accepts a match with Nash for Starcade.
Stars N Stripes reunite and defeat the Shogun Warriors, getting revenge for Marcus Bagwell's broken arm by Kurasawa. They then set their sites on the NWA Tag Titles held by Harlem Heat and reveal their secret weapon for beating the Heat as SISTER SHERRI!!! THE FORMER MANAGER OF HARLEM HEAT!!! Sherri isn't happy that Harlem Heat abandoned her, and now she is going to teach Stars N Stripes just what it takes to beat The Heat!!
Jerry Lynn and The Kid fought everywhere. Lynn was angry The Kid cost him the NWA TV Title, the Kid has a whole new attitude, he says he doesn't care about the fans or anyone else, just himself and winning the TV Title. Finally Dory Funk Jr. orders a 3 way ladder match for Starcade between The Kid, Jerry Lynn and TV Champion Sabu.
The Undertaker began to play mind games with Bam Bam Bigelow, they didn't work, as it just made Bigelow angrier and angrier. Bigelow destroyed a casket the Undertaker sent down to the ring for Bigelow and Bigelow beat up Paul Bearer in the locker room. Taker and Bigelow were signed to meet at Starcade
Bret tried to bury the hatchet with his brother Owen, but Owen wouldn't have it. Owen swore that he would win the NWA World Title at Starcade. Bret went to train with his father for the match while Owen trained with Jimmy Hart, The Anvil and the newest member of the first family the monster known as Unabomb.
STARCADE 94:
Diamond Dallas Page overcame interference from Hall and HHH to defeat Kevin Nash with the Diamond Cutter and send The Wolfpac out of the NWA!!!!
Sabu defeated Jerry Lynn and The Kid in a 3 way ladder match to retain the NWA TV Title
Stars N Stripes w/Sensational Sherri defeated Harlem Heat w/Woman to win the NWA World Tag Team Titles when The Patriot pinned Booker T after a Full Nelson Slam. Sherri and Woman got into a cat fight during the match.
Bam Bam Bigelow shocked the world when he mauled The Undertaker, beating the Undertaker worse than anyone ever has. Bigelow has transformed himself into a monster who is going to be hard to beat in 1995!!
The Great Muta defeated International Champion Ricky Steamboat to win the title.
Owen Hart defeated his brother Bret "The Hitman" Hart to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title.
After Starcade, the last two WNW's of the year were recap shows, recaping the events of 1994, and announcing that Dory Funk Jr. had stepped down as NWA Commisioner and Paul E. Dangerously had been elected as the new chairman of the board! Dangerously promised that the NWA will rush headlong into 1995, and take wrestling to the next level, and take it to THE EXTREME!
