Styles says that because that match is so important and that we want to give it all the time that we can, it will happen RIGHT NOW!!!! NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BRET HART VS. TED DIBIASE Hart and Dibiase start out slow, trading holds and escaping to the ropes when need be. Neither one wants to make an early mistake. Soon the two men are on the mat trading headscissors, headlocks and armbars. Both men are trying to find a way to take control as Kevin Nash and his manager DDP walk out to the aisle and the ringside area. Nash is watching the match while DDP joins Styles and Polo on commentary!! Page says this is a scouting mission as well as a way to send a message to whomever wins the match that they can’t duck Nash anymore. Back in the ring the match is starting to pick up the pace as the two men are now on their feet, Dibiase whips Bret into the ropes and tries to knee him in the gut but Bret flips over the knee and rolls Dibiase up for a two count!!! Dibiase grabs Bret with an inside cradle that gets a two count. Dibiase throws Bret into the ropes drops his head for a backdrop and gets caught with a sunset flip!!!! Dibiase breaks the Sunset Flip and flips over for a pin attempt that gets a two count, Bret grabs a waistlock and powers out of the pin by lifting himself and Dibiase to their feet, Bret then spins Dibiase around into a Backslide, but that only gets a two count!!!!!! Dibiase blindsides Bret with a stiff punch!!! Dibiase whips Bret into the corner and charges him, but Bret gets his feet up and Dibiase runs right into them!!! Dibiase staggers out of the corner, Bret lifts himself to the second turnbuckle and jumps off with a bulldog!!!!! Bret makes a cover and only gets a two count!!!! Bret hits a side russian legsweep, floats over for the cover and again only gets a two count!!! Bret then grabs Dibiase’s legs and looks for the Sharpshooter, but Dibiase fights like mad to get away from Bret and rolls out of the ring. Dibiase is taking a breather as we head to a commercial break . . COMMERCIAL BREAK 8:12-8:15 . . Back from the break and Dibiase is back in the ring, locking up in a collar and elbow with Bret, Dibiase fires a knee into Bret’s stomach and takes over. Dibiase hits the double underhook suplex then follows it up with a fist drop, but only gets a two count. Dibiase hits Bret with a belly to back suplex and bridge, but that also only gets a two count. Dibiase hits a backbreaker, and makes another cover, but once again only a two count. Dibiase then tries for a Spinning Toe Hold!!!! Dibiase locks in the hold and is working it when Bret reaches up, grabs Dibiase by the hair and rolls him up for a two count!!!!!! Dibiase scrambles up to his feet and locks Bret in an Abdominal Stretch!!!!! As Dibiase wrenches in the hold Sid Vicious appears in the isle!!!! Sid and Nash are pointing and yelling at each other, DDP says Sid has no place out here and Styles is wondering when this powderkeg is going to blow? ? . . COMMERCIAL BREAK 8:27-8:30 . . Back from the break, Bret has broken out of the Abdominal Stretch and is fighting tooth and nail with Dibiase, meanwhile on the outside of the ring Nash and Sid are still jawjacking. DDP leaves the commentary table and sneaks behind Sid!!! Page jumps Sid from behind and he and Nash start to double team him. Meanwhile in the ring Dibiase grabs Bret in a waist lock and pops the hips, GERMAN SUPLEX!!!!! DIBIASE BRIDGES, BUT HIS SHOULDERS ARE DOWN TOO!!!!! ALFONSO COUNTS BOTH BRET AND DIBIASE’S SHOULDERS DOWN!!!!!! Dibiase jumps up and raises his hand, but Alfonso rips it down and tells Dibiase it’s a draw!!!! WINNER: DOUBLE PIN, DRAWDibiase shoves Alfonso down and grabs Bret!!!! Dibiase is locking in the Million Dollar Dream when Nash and DDP roll Sid into the ring!!!! DDP is putting the boots to Sid as Nash big boots Dibiase!!!!! Nash then grabs Sid and Jackknifes him!!!! Nash grabs Dibiase and hits him with a Jackknife as well!!!!! Bret is staggering up and Nash grabs him and Jackknifes him as well!!!!! Sid, Dibiase and Bret are out in the ring as Dibiase hands the title belt to Nash!!!! Nash holds the title up in the air . . COMMERCIAL BREAK 8:42-8:45 . . Nash and DDP are in the back, DDP says that Nash just put the NWA on notice. Nash says that the only reason those people in the ring are still breathing is because Nash allowed it. Nash says he is the main man in the NWA, and soon the NWA Title will belong to him. Styles and Polo reshow what just happened in the ring. Styles says he hasn’t ever seen carnage like that in the ring, Polo says Nash is a one man wrecking crew and Styles says that Dibiase nor Bret can be happy with not only what Nash has done, but also how the match ended because nothing has been settled. Styles sends us to the back to Missy Hyatt who is with NWA Commisioner Dory Funk Jr. Dory says that he can’t believe what Nash and DDP have done, he says that if Nash thinks he is going to be rewarded with a title shot after what he has done, he has another thing coming. Before Dory can say anything else Ted Dibiase walks up and starts yelling that the double pin was bullshit Dibiase says that he wants another shot at the belt, he deserves it, Bret then shows up and starts yelling that he wants Nash in the ring, Dibiase tells Hart he can have Nash after Dibiase takes the title away from Bret. Bret says Dibiase has had plenty of chances but he is still can’t take the belt because he doesn’t have it in him to be the Champion! Dibiase shoves Bret and the two start to fight as Dory screams for them to break it up!!! Referees and wrestlers are trying to pull the two apart as we go to a commercial break . . COMMERCIAL BREAK 8:57-9:00: A commercial for World Wide Wrestling played, hyping Billy Gunn vs. Chris Adams . . Styles says that things have gotten completely out of hand and that Dibiase and Hart’s brawl has torn a portion of the backstage area apart!!! Polo hopes it was catering that stuff they were serving was disgusting. Styles says that things are only going to get more insane as the weeks to Slamboree go by. Styles says Dory Funk Jr. has ejected Bret Hart and Ted Dibiase from the building!!!!! BIG BUBBA ROGERS VS. PJ WALKERWalker puts up a great fight, he goes right at Rogers and doesn’t back down, even Polo is impressed by Walker’s approach. Walker actually looks like he might pull out the upset, having Rogers rocking with chops, punches and dropkicks, but Walker’s luck finally runs out when Rogers catches Walker with a Big Bubba Slam out of nowhere!!!!!! WINNER: BIG BUBBA ROGERSRogers grabs the microphone and calls out Ron Simmons, he tells Simmons that he knows how to settle the issue between them and challenges him to a STREET FIGHT at Slamboree!!!! . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK 9:12-9:15: . . Missy Hyatt is backstage with Ron Simmons and asks him about Big Bubba’s challenge and Simmons accepts, Simmons wonders what the hell Big Bubba knows about the Streets? Simmons was born on the streets and at Slamboree he is going to give Rogers a good old fashioned GHETTO ASS KICKING!!!!! Styles talks about what happened last week with Sabu, how he defeated Bob Holly and was about to put him through a table when the Undertaker mysteriously appeared and chokeslamed Sabu through the table. SABU & THE TAZMANIAC WITH KEVIN SULLIVAN VS. CRASH THE TERMINATOR & MARTY JANNETTYMarty is making his first appearance here in the NWA and teaming with Crash, which Styles thinks may help Crash finally develop. Sabu and The Tazmaniac are batshit crazy, everyone knows it, but Crash is a bit touched in the head as well, so this could prove to be rather interesting. Jannetty and Taz provide the early “wrestling” portion of the match, trading holds and suplexes, until Taz tries to take Marty’s head off with a clothesline. Taz and Sabu then take turns beating on the former Rocker. When Marty finally breaks free and tags Crash, the young man explodes !!! Crash unloads on Taz and Sabu with punches before slamming their heads together! Crash is really rolling as he pumps his fists and is all pumped up!!!! Crash slams Sabu to the mat, and climbs the ropes, CRASH CONNECTS WITH A 350 POUND MOONSAULT ON SABU!!!! Crash goes for the cover but only gets two as Taz breaks it up at the last possible second!!! Marty is now back in the ring to even the odds!!! It’s a pier six brawl!!!!! Taz hits a cactus clothesline on Marty and sends them both flying out of the ring!!!!! Marty and Taz are slowly getting to their feet, Crash hits the ropes as Taz and Marty are slowly getting to their feet, Crash launches himself through the ropes with a suicide bullet at the two wiping everyone out!!!!!! Now only Sabu remains in the ring and he is climbing the ropes. Marty, Taz and Crash slowly rise to their feet, when they are all standing Sabu launches himself off the top with a moonsault off the top rope to the concrete floor!!!!!!!!! Everyone crashes to the ground!!!!!!!! Sabu slowly gets up and points to the sky!!!! Sabu rolls Crash into the ring, and then hits a slingshot legdrop but Crash kicks out at two!!!! Sabu whips Crash into the ropes and tries for a clothesline but misses and then Crash blasts Sabu with a clothesline that turns him inside out!!!!!! Crash grabs Sabu and hits a belly to belly suplex and makes a cover but only gets two as Taz breaks it up again, this time Taz stays in the ring and drops Crash on his head with a head and arm tazplex!!!!! Marty rushes back in and Taz backdrops him over the top rope to the concrete floor!!! Sabu sees what is going on and is preparing to launch himself at Undertaker when the lights go out again, and when they come back on Taker is gone and Sabu is FREAKED OUT!!!!! Styles says Taker is playing mind games with Sullivan’s crew!!!! He then says we are quickly running out of time, but Missy Hyatt says that Sid Vicious is demanding to be heard!!! Backstage Sid snatches the microphone from Missy as Missy runs away, Sid is yelling for Nash to come fight him like a man!!! Sid is screaming for Nash as the show goes off the air!!!!! Landel says he is going to show he is better than Rich when he does what Rich couldn’t beat The Kid!! Landel finishes with THAT’S RIGHT I SAID IT!!! SHANE DOUGLAS VS. PAT TANAKADouglas makes short work of Tanaka, effectively squashing him with a Belly to Belly Suplex. During the match Styles says that Ricky Steamboat will be at WNW this week, and Dory has promised an important announcement in regards to Mr. Steamboat. Wednesday Night Warriors March 9, 1994 Broadcast LIVE on MTV . . . . . . Joey Styles and International Champion Johnny Polo are at ringside and they are excited for the show we have today, after last weeks insane ending to the NWA World Title Match, Dory Funk Jr. has promised to lay down the law here tonight, plus we will find out who is facing Johnny Polo for the International Title at Slamboree!!!!! Several months ago Buddy Landel debuted in the NWA and after going to a time limit draw with The Kid, kicked the Kid in the nuts after pretending to want to shake his hand. Since then The Kid's efforts to get Landel in the ring for a one on one match have been futile. Landel has recently joined the Studd Stable led by Col Robert Parker and former NWA World Champion Tommy Rich, Landel and Rich have not gotten along in the slightest. After Rich lost to the Kid on World Wide, Landel was goaded into finally facing The Kid here tonight. The Kid vs. Buddy Landel A back and forth battle, which more resembles their first match against each other as Landel does not try and run from the Kid as he has been since then. The two men put on a dazzing display or wrestling precision and The Kid astonishes the crowd with his death defying moves. Neither man gains an advantage unitl "Wildfire" Tommy Rich makes his way out to ringside. Styles is surprised Rich is cheering on Landel, Polo tells Styles he is an idiot, Rich and Landel are stablemates and of course they would encourage each other. During an Irish Whip excahnge Landel tries to send The Kid into the ropes, but The Kid reverses. Rich's back is turned and he reaches in and grabs Landel's leg to trip him up!!!! Polo says that Rich thought it was The Kid, he didn't know it was Landel!!!!! Landel springs up, leans out of the ring to yell at Rich. The two men are arguing and The Kid takes advatage rolling Landel up for the 1-2-3 and hte victory!!!!!!!! Winner: The Kid due to Rich's botched interference. Landel jumps out of the ring and gets in Rich's face, Styles openly questions if Rich really made a mistake or if he did exactly what he set out to do, Polo calls Styles a trouble maker. Landel shoves Rich!!!! Rich plasters Landel with a punch!!!! The two men start to brawl when their stablemates, NWA World Tag Team Champions The Bruise Brothers rush out to pull them apart!!!!! Styles says the Studd Stable has exploded!!!! . . COMMERCIAL BREAK. . Styles says during the break while they were pulling the Studd Stable apart, Landel challenged Rich to a match here next week and Rich accepted!!!!! Polo says that Parker is not happy about this at all!!! During the NWA World Title Tournament, Ted Dibiase hired Big Bubba Rogers to disrupt the B Bracket as much as possible and keep Ron Simmons out of the finals, just in case Dibiase won his bracket. Rogers did just that, attacking Simmons at every turn, Simmons began to do the same and after eliminating Mike Rotunda from the NWA at The Chi Town Rumble, has set his sights on finishing off Rogers. Rogers has challenged Simmons to a street fight at Slamboree, that Simmons has accepted. Big Bubba Rogers vs. Tommy DreamerDreamer doesn't back down from his foe, even though Rogers dishes out an insane amount of punishment on Dreamer, Rogers seems less interested in winning the match as he does in just beating the hell out of Dreamer. This is proven to be true when he blantantly gets disqualified using his nightstick in front of the referee!!!! Polo says that will be legal in the Street Fight at Slamboree!!!!! Winner: Tommy Dreamer via DQRogers pulls a pair of handcuffs out and handcuffs Dreamer to the ring ropes!!!! Rogers starts to beat on Dreamer with the nightstick, and Dreamer can't get away because he is handcuffed!!!! Polo says this also will be legal at Slamboree!!! Ron Simmons has enough and rushes out of the back to make the save, Rogers isn't willing to fight Simmons now and bails out of the ring. Simmons is checking on Dreamer as Rogers backs up the aisle laughing. . . Commercial Break . . Styles and Polo talk about what just happened and sends us to the back and Missy Hyatt who is with Big Bubba Rogers, Missy says Rogers went too far and Rogers tells Missy to shut up. Rogers says that was just a small taste of what Simmons can expect at Slamboree, Rogers promises that Simmons is in for some real hard time!!! The Armstrong Brothers vs. The ExecutionersSteve and Jesse James Armstrong, sons of the legendary "Bullet" Bob Armstrong face the masked Executioners, Pain and Agony. The masked men show off some impressive moves including a moonsault by the larger Pain and a drivng elbow drop from the top rope by Agony, but the Armstrong Brothers have just a little more in the tank and they win after Jesse James hits a pump handle slam on Agony to get the pin. Winners: The Armstrong Brothers. . Commercial Break . . Joey Styles and International Champion Johnny Polo are talking about what happened here last week, how Bret Hart defended the NWA Title against Ted Dibiase. During the match Kevin Nash and his manager/partner Diamond Dallas Page made their way out to the ring to watch, soon followed by the man who has been a thorn in Nash's side, Sid Vicious. Nash and Page soon attacked Sid and while they were brawling Bret and Dibiase's match ended in a double pin. Soon after the decision was made Nash, Sid and Page ended up in the ring and a major brawl broke out that ended with Nash powerbombing everyone and walking away with total devastation in the ring. Dibiase and Hart later got into an argument in the back and Dory Funk Jr. has promised a decision will be made about the NWA World Title here tonight. Suddenly, World Champion Bret Hart storms out of the back, and climbs into the ring.Bret gets a microphone and demands Dory Funk Jr join him. Bret wants Dibiase again, he wants to finish this, the two have been battling each other since November and it's time to put an end to it. Dory isn't the next person out however as RUN DMC's DOWN WITH THE KING starts to play and that brings out Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page. Page says Dibiase has had plenty of shots, he and Bret have been fighting for months, it's time for someone else to get a shot, like the man who elminated more men in the Chi Town Rumble then anyone else, the man who beat The Undertaker at Starrcade, and the man Bret barely beat at Starrcade to win the title, the man whom never got a rematch, Kevin Nash!!! DDP claims that Bret is ducking Nash, that Bret is scared because he knows if he gets in the ring with Nash he'll not only lose the title but be taken out of the sport!!!!! Bret says he isn't ducking anyone and he'll take on Nash too. Bret says if Nash wants to go, they'll go RIGHT NOW!!!!! With that, Ted Dibiase comes out of the back. Styles says this isn't good that these men can't all be in the same place at the same time without things going bad quickly. Dibiase and says the title belongs to him, he beat Bret in the tournament, was the only man who was never pinned or forced to submit in the entire tournament and even defeated Bret at Starrcade an hour before Bret beat Nash to win the belt. Dibiase says that he would have won the title at Chi Town Rumble if not for a techincality, and he would have won it last week if not for a moron referee!!! Nash says he'll destroy Dibiase if that's what it takes to get the title. Dibiase says Nash doesn't scare him, and he has taken down bigger men in his time and would take Nash out right now, but he isn't worth his time, all that Dibiase wants is what is his by destiny's decrey, the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. And now Sid Vicious joins the party and demands that HE get the shot. Vicious says that both Nash and Dibiase have gotten a chance at the belts and haven't been able to come through, well now it's his turn to prove he is the master and ruler of the world!!!!! Styles says this is about to get really, really bad as Sid slowly walks to the ring talking. Before Sid can climb into the ring, officials and referees and lowercard wrestlers rush out to get in between everyone. Then NWA Commish Dory Funk Jr. finally appears and Polo wonders where the hell he has been during all of this. Dory says that all three men have claims to title shots, so in order to decide who gets the match he orders a triangle match here next week, winner gets the title shot at Slamboree!!!!!! Dory also announces that at Slamboree, Johnny Polo will defend the International Title agains the last man he eliminated from the Chi Town Rumble, former NWA World Champion Ricky Steamboat!!!!!!! Dibiase, Nash and Sid seem to be pleased by the announcement of the triangle match, as the three threaten each other in the ring Polo goes on a tirade about how Steamboat shouldn't be getting a shot at anything!!! Polo is still ranting when he is cut off as the show goes to a commerical break . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . Missy Hyatt is backstage with the man that has just been awarded the title match with Johnny Polo at Slamboree, Ricky Steamboat. Steamboat says he is healed up from the cane shot by Col Parker at The Chi Town Rumble. Steamboat starts to talk about facing Polo for the International Title at Slamboree when the locker room door violently swings open and Steamboat's tag team partner Shane Douglas storms out, bag in hand. Steamboat stops the interview and tries to talk to Douglas, but Douglas elbows past Steamboat. The Dragon is following behind Douglas trying to talk to him as Missy sends us back to ringside. Polo laughs and says that Douglas is seeing how selfish Steamboat is, Polo says that Steamboat probably got himself counted out at the Chi Town Rumble purposely because he wanted the International Title and didn't want to carry the tag belts anymore. Polo says Douglas is realizing Steamboat is a fake and is only out for himself. Styles says Polo is insane. TNT is waiting in the ring for his opponent to start the next match. The lights go completely out and the Undertaker starts the slow walk to the ring!!!! Taker gets about halfway down the aisle when SABU rolls out from under the ring chair in hand!!!!!! Taker tries to rush to meet Sabu, but Sabu waffles Taker with a chair shot that sends The Undertaker crashing to the floor!!!! Sabu bashes Taker with the chair again, Bearer doesn't get too close as Sabu threatens Bearer with the chair. Sabu puts the chair across Undertakers face, climbs the apron and launches himself off with a leg drop from the apron to the floor and drives the chair into Undertaker's face!!!! Sabu points to the sky and poses as we head to a commercial break!!!! . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Styles and Polo are shocked, no one has ever assulated the Undertaker like that. Polo says Undertaker tried playing mindgames with Sabu, Sullivan and The Tazmaniac last week when he appeared, took out the Tazmaniac and then vanished, but this week Sabu showed the Undertaker two can play that game!!!!!! Jacob and Eli, Col Robert Parker's Bruise Brothers, have been absolute terrors since the NWA launched. Destroying opponent after opponent, they were heavy favorites to win the NWA World Tag Titles at Starrcade, but came up short when Shane Douglas used a pair of Brass Knux Parker tried to use on him to knock out one of the Bruise Brothers and win the tournament for the belts. For several weeks, Douglas and Steamboat faced the Bruise Brothers, and Douglas continually got his team disquaified when the Bruise Brothers's cheating got so out of hand that Douglas would snap and take matters into his own hands. Finally at The Chi Town Rumble, The Bruise Brothers came away with the titles when they faced Steamboat and Douglas in a match that Steamboat signed for in which if Douglas or Steamboat were counted out or DQed the Bruise Brothers would be given the belts, Parker broke a solid wood cane across Steamboat's back in order to secure a count out victory and give his team the titles. NWA World Tag Team Champions The Bruise Brothers with Col. Robert Parker vs. Marty Jannety and Crash The TerminatorMarty and Crash looked impressive together last week, and continue to do so this week as they face the tag champs in non title action. Crash looks like a different wrestler since Marty took him under his wing, and even hits his 350 pound moonsault on Eli, and almost gets a pin fall if not for Jacob breaking it up. Though Crash and Marty put up a good fight, in the end it wasn't enough against the World Tag Champs and Crash ends up getting pinned after eating a double boot to the face followed by a leg drop from Eli. Winners: The Bruise Brothers. . . Commercial Break . . . Polo and Styles recap what we saw today and hype up next weeks program as Tommy Rich and Buddy Landel go one on one and the man who will face Bret Hart for the NWA World Title at Slamboree will be decided in a triangele match when Kevin Nash, Sid Vicious and Ted Dibiase all mix it up!!! Plus don't miss World Wide Wrestling this week when The Smoking Gunns take on The Tazmaniac and Kevin Sullivan and The Patriot battles TNT, plus Styles is sure Chris Adams will have something to say about the victory he stole from Billy Gunn on last weeks World Wide Wrestling. They then send it to Missy Hyatt who is with NWA World Champion Bret Hart for some final words. Missy asks Bret if he has any preferance as to who wins next weeks Triangle Macth. While Bret wants to finish what he and Dibiase started, he doesn't care who wins next week, he'll face anyone, anytime, anywhere!!! Bret holds up the NWA World Title and says that as long as he holds this belt it means he is the best in the World and he will continue to prove it against whomever climbs in the ring with him!!!!! NWA World Wide Wrestling Shown on the weekend of March 12 and 13, 1994 Broadcast in syndication all over the world (Shots of NWA Wrestlers plays over the Insturmental of Smells Like Teen Spirit) Joey Styles opens the show and goes over what happened on WNW and what will happen this week on WNW and on World Wide today. The Patriot vs. TNTAs the match goes on an interview box opens up on the side of the screen with pre recorded comments from The Patriot. The Patriot says that he saw what Sabu did to the Undertaker on Wednesday Night, and The Patriot says that if the Undertaker wants help all he has to do is ask, Patriot says that Undertaker has helped him in the past against Sullivan, Sabu and the Tazmaniac and he would be honored to return the favor. The Patriot and TNT have a decent brawl, with TNT hitting some spinning heel kicks and knife edge chops to keep The Patriot on the mat, but The Patriot makes the comeback and wins with the Full Nelson Slam. Winner: The PatriotClips of Sabu's attack on The Undertaker are shown . . Commercial Break . . Styles talks about the Chris Adams-Smoking Gunns rivalry and how it started at the Chi Town Rumble when Bart and Adams found themselves battling each other for a very long stretch of time. That led to the two men meeting here on World Wide Wrestling, and Adams claimed victory after using a handful of tights, that didn't sit well with Billy who challenged Adams to a match. Adams and Billy faced each other last week and Adams won with a bit of help from the ring ropes. Styles says that the Smoking Gunns are not happy about this and that he will talk to Adams about it after this match. Chris Adams vs. Scotty RiggsRiggs is a young wrestler just starting out, but he is pretty impressive for a rookie. He gives Adams fits, but Adams is able to put him away after a Superkick. Winner: Chris AdamsAdams then joins Joey Styles at ringside. Adams and Styles talk about the feud with the Smoking Gunns and Adams is aghast that people claim that Adams cheated! Styles says their is video proof, everyone all over the world saw it and Adams says he is an English Gentleman and he does not need to use short cuts to get victories, and he won't have his name tarnished, he challenges the Smoking Gunns to meet him and a partner of his choice next week here on World Wide to settle this. . . Commercial Break . . Clips of what happened with Nash, Sid, Dibiase and Hart on WNW including the announcement of the Triangle Match Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page vs. Public EnemyNash does most of the work as Page smokes a cigar on the ring apron!!!! Nash tosses the Hoodies around and even catches Rocco Rock when the Flyboy tries a cross body block off the top rope. Nash ends up Jack Knifing both men and then tagging in Page who drops a couple of elbows on Grunge before pinning him for the 1-2-3 Winners: Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas PageReplay of Bret Hart's comments that closed WNW on who he wants to win the Triangle Match . . Commercial Break . . Clips of Big Bubba Rogers vs. Tommy Dreamer match from WNW Ron Simmons vs. Brian LeeSimmons battles the big man Brian Lee in our next match, Lee has had some sucess throughout the South but he has had a hard time stepping up his game here in the NWA. Simmons dominates his opponent and pins him after a spinebuster Missy Hyatt is backstage with the Smoking Gunns who accept Chris Adams challenge for next week!!! . . Commercial Break . . Kevin Sullivan and The Tazmaniac vs. The Smoking Gunns The Smoking Gunns come to the ring accompined by The Patriot, which Kevin Sullivan is not happy about, but Sabu is with Sullivan and Taz so it's only fair. An insane battle that referee Pee Wee Moore cannot control. Things get total and completely out of hand when Sabu and the Patriot end up in the ring turning the match into a no contest!!!!! Winners: No Contest Sullivan and his crew leave the ring as The Patriot grabs a microphone and challenges Sullivan and his crew to meet he and The Gunns this Wednesday Night on WNW!!!!! After several minutes of brawling Sid drops Nash to the mat with a chokeslam, but before he can follow anything up, Dibiase hits a jumping knee to the back that sends Sid tumbling through the ropes out of the ring!!!! Dibiase quickly covers Nash trying to steal the pinfall, but only gets a one count as Sid pulls Dibiase out of the ring to the floor!!! Sid blasts Dibiase with punches on the floor sending Dibiase down to the concrete, Dibiase tries to beg off as he backs away but Sid is stalking him, suddenly Dibiase grabs Sid by the front of the trunks and pulls him forwad, causing Sid to fall face first into the ring stairs!!!! Sid is very slow to get up, and when he does get to his feet we can see that the edge of the steps caught Sid above the right eye and busted him wide open!!!!! Sid tries to get to Dibiase who quickly rolls back into the ring and backs into Nash!!!! Nash turns Dibiase around grabs ahold of him and drops him to the mat with a sidewalk slam!!! Cover only gets a two count as Dibiase kicks out!!! Sid is now back in the ring and starts to fight with Nash again, Dibiase takes the cue to roll out to the floor and out of the way of the monsters. Sid is dominating Nash at first, but Nash soon reverses and Irish Whip into the corner and then crushes Sid with a clothesline in the corner. Nash unloads on Sid with Elbows and knees, before lifting him out of the corner and dropping him with snake eyes across the top turnbuckle, which opens Sid up even more!!!! Nash goes for the cover, but gets two as Dibiase quickly break up the count. A bloody Sid is left on the mat as Nash starts to pound Dibiase. Dibiase tries to get some offense in, but Nash is just overpowering him. Nash then nails the big boot, drops the straps and signals for the Jackknife!!! Nash puts Dibiase between his legs and is about to lift him up when Sid comes out of nowhere with a Big Boot that sends Nash spiraling backward!! Nash falls into the ropes and gets his arms tangled in them ala Andre The Giant!!! Nash can’t escape!!! DDP is yelling for the referee to do something!!! Sid staggers as his face is now a crimson mask and he has lost quite a bit of blood. Dibiase quickly rolls a woozy Sid up from behind as DDP leaves the commentators table to try and free Nash!!! Dibiase grabs a huge handful of tights and steals the 1-2-3 and the victory!!!! WINNER: TED DIBIASEDibiase bolts out of the ring as fast as he can as DDP has gotten Nash free!!! Dibiase is backing up the aisle with his hands raised. He makes a belt motion that enrages Nash further. Nash then turns his attention to Sid, grabbing him off the mat and hitting the Jackknife Powerbomb!!!! DDP and Nash start to put the boots to the bloody Sid, Bret Hart has seen enough and drops his headset, grabs the steel chair he was sitting on and slides in the ring. Hart swings the chair wildly sending Nash and DDP running for cover. Hart is checking on Sid as we go to commercial break . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Dory Funk Jr is backstage with Missy Hyatt and confirms that Ted Dibiase will get a shot at the NWA World Title at Slamboree, but says it will be Dibiase’s last shot at the title. Dory says Dibiase better make the most of it. Before he can say anything else he is interrupted by DDP and Nash!!! They are both extremely upset about how the match ended and DDP says the referee shouldn’t have been making a three count he should have been getting Nash out of the ropes. Nash wants the title match. Dory says Dibiase won, and will get the match at Slamboree, however, Dory is also ordering a Nash vs. Sid match for Slamboree and the winner will be declared the #1 contender to the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Nash says that Dory just signed Sid’s death warrant!!!! THE KID VS. JINSEI SHINZAKI A high flying battle, much different than the brawl we witnessed earlier, the two men pull out all the stops including Shinzaki bringing the crowd to their feet after dumping The Kid out of the ring and hitting the Flying Space Tiger Drop!!! Shinzaki rolls The Kid back into the ring and makes the cover, but the Kid somehow kicks out, Shinzaki then misses a Handspring Back Elbow Smash when the Kid moves at the last second!! The Kid unloads with martial arts kicks on Shinzaki in the corner before just about knocking him out with a jumping roundhouse!!! The Kid sets Shinzaki up on the top turnbuckle and tries for a superplex, but Shinzaki finds some way to block it and knocks The Kid off the top rope!!! Shinzaki then tries for a senton off the top, but the Kid rolls out of the way. The Kid then hits a legdrop for two and is amazed when Shinzaki kicks out!!! The Kid tries to whip Shinzaki into the ropes, but Shinzaki reverse the whip into an arm wringer and kicks The Kid in the gut, then executes a sitout powerbomb, Shinzaki makes the pin and The Kid just barley kicks out before the three count. Shinzaki then heads to the top rope, but takes too long as The Kid recovers enough to met Shinzaki on the top turnbuckle!!! The two men are jockeying for position, fighting in a very dangerous place when The Kid hits a hurrnicanrana off the top rope that brings the entire crowd to their feet, and has Joey yelling “OH MY GOD”!!! The Kid scambles to make the pin and gets a three count to win an amazing, death defying match!!!! WINNER: THE KIDStyles talks over multiple highlights of the match and he still can’t believe some of the stuff these two did. . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . RICKY “THE DRAGON” STEAMBOAT VS. TNT This is Steamboat first match back since losing the tag titles at The Chi Town Rumble and having Col Robert Parker’s cane broke across his back, then going on to be the last person eliminated from the Chi Town Rumble itself. Steamboat of course will be facing Johnny Polo for the International Title at Slamboree and Polo is none too happy about that. Polo spends most of the match running Steamboat down as Styles tries to actually call the match. TNT puts up a great fight and gets a close two count after a spin kick, but Steamboat proves to be too much for the masked man and defeats him with a belly to back suplex with a bridge. WINNER: RICKY “THE DRAGON” STEAMBOATAfter the match Polo removes his headset and demands to interview Steamboat about their match at Slamboree. Steamboat is game for the interview and sits and listens as Polo insults him. Polo calls Steamboat selfish and asks Steamboat where his buddy Shane Douglas is? Polo says that Steamboat got counted out on purpose at the Chi Town Rumble so that he could lose the titles and save himself to try and win the International Title in the Rumble, only Polo ruined that plan. Steamboat finally speaks up and says that Polo has a big mouth, and runs it too much. He says Polo makes up some great stories, but that’s all they are, stories. Steamboat says that Polo will get what is coming to him at Slamboree and Steamboat promises to shut Polo’s mouth once and for all!!!! . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Missy Hyatt is sitting at a desk for the SLAMBOREE CONTROL CENTER. She says that Slamboree will be held on April 17th, Live on Pay Per View from the Boston Garden!!! As we know from earlier tonight, Bret Hart will be defending the NWA World Title against Ted Dibiase in what Dory Funk Jr. is calling Ted Dibiase’s last shot at the title, also revealed here tonight Kevin Nash will face Sid Vicious in a #1 contenders match!!! But that’s not all!! The International Championship will be up for grabs when Johnny Polo defends against the man he eliminated last at the Chi Town Rumble in order to win the belt, former NWA World Champion Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. After months of being at each other’s throat and countless matches that have ended in DQ’s, Big Bubba Rogers and Ron Simmons will try and settle things once and for all in a Street Fight, and finally, the Bruise Brothers will defend the NWA World Tag Team Titles, against who you ask? Well you will have to check out NWA World Wide for the next several weeks as a tournament will be held to determine just that!!! Don’t miss out on this spectacular card, call you cable and satellite providers today and tell them you want to see Slamboree!!!! . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Styles and Polo argue about Polo’s interview skills, Styles says he will handle the interviews from now on and Polo says that he said exactly what anyone with half a brain was thinking. Styles and Polo then talk about the problems between Buddy Landel and Tommy Rich. Since Landel joined the Studd Stable he has been trying to push the former NWA World Champion out. While Rich’s best days are certainly behind him, he wasn’t about to let Landel take his spot away from him. It all finally came to a head and now these two stablemates will battle it out here tonight and their manager Col. Robert Parker isn’t happy about it. Polo says Parker will be out here, but in a neutral corner. “WILDFIRE” TOMMY RICH VS. BUDDY LANDEL COL ROBERT PARKER IN A NEUTRAL CORNERRich and Landel waste no time going right at it!! The two are just beating the piss out of each other, this isn’t a wrestling match it’s a barroom brawl!!! Neither man tries going for a pin or anything that resembles a wrestling move, they are just kicking, biting, and punching each other. Rich soon gets the advantage after headbutting Landel!!! Rich just kicks the snot out of Landel on the mat, climbs to the second turnbuckle and drops a Memphis Style Fist Drop on Landel, Rich refuses to make the cover though and climbs to the top turnbuckle, he is a little wobbly up there, Rich drops a fist from the very top rope onto Landel now and Landel really sells the hell out of it throwing his legs in the air and then shaking like he is having a seizure. Rich finally makes the cover, but doesn’t get a three count as Parker pulls the referee out of the ring and then punches him!!!! Rich wants to know what the hell is going on!!! Rich rolls out of the ring and starts to argue with Parker, RICH SHOVES PARKER DOWN!!!!!!!! Landel jumps out of the ring and tries to back jump Rich, but Rich blasts him with a punch. Rich then turns his attention back to Parker but before he can do anything the NWA World Tag Team Champions The Bruise Brothers rush out and get in between Rich and Parker. The Bruise Brothers want Rich to back off, but Rich tries to FIGHT THE BRUISE BROTHERS BY HIMSELF!?!?!?! IS HE CRAZY? The Bruise Brothers maul Rich then roll him into the ring; they whip him into the ropes and hit a double press slam into a double gutbuster!!! Rich is rolling around on the mat when Landel and Parker roll back into the ring. Parker is ordering them to get Rich back up, the do and Landel climbs to the top turnbuckle as Eli sets Rich up for a piledriver, Landel grabs Rich’s feet and helps Spike him in the mat!!!! Parker then takes his belt off and starts whipping Rich!!!!! Landel finally pulls Parker away and the Studd Stable leaves the now former member, Tommy Rich lying in the ring. WINNER: NO CONTEST Styles and Polo talk about what just happened and they are both a bit surprised, though Polo says Rich was asking for it, he should have just stepped aside and let Landel take over. Styles says Missy is in the back and is trying to get a word with Parker. Missy Hyatt is backstage and cannot believe what just happened, The Studd Stable is coming through the curtain and Missy asks them why they did what they did, Parker says the time comes when you have to take that once prized stallion out behind the barn and put a bullet in it’s brain cause it’s done gone LAME!!! And that is just what happened with Tommy Rich. Landel says Rich was dragging the Studd Stable down, but he is going to take it to new heights, and he is now challenging BRET HART!!! Landel says he will bring the NWA World Title to the Studd Stable, THAT’S RIGHT, HE SAID IT!!! . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Missy is backstage with NWA World Champion Bret Hart, Bret says that he is glad that he is going to finish things with Ted Dibiase once and for all at Slamboree, as far as Buddy Landel calling him out, Bret says anytime Landel wants to find out what it’s like to be Excellently Executed, he’ll be happy to show him. Bret is confident he will defeat Dibiase at Slamboree, and then whether it’s Sid Vicious or Kevin Nash that wins the #1 contenders match, he will be ready for them! . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Styles and Polo go over what happened last week on WNW and on World Wide. First Sabu attacked the Undertaker with a steal chair on WNW laying the Undertaker out and taking the fight to him in a way no one else has done before. Then on World Wide, a match between the Smoking Gunns and Kevin Sullivan and The Tazmaniac got out of hand when The Patriot and Sabu all got involved, as a result, The Patriot challenged Sullivan and his brood to meet him and the Smoking Gunns here tonight!! KEVIN SULLIVAN, THE TAZMANIAC, AND SABU VS. THE PATRIOT, AND THE SMOKING GUNNSThe two teams pick right up where they left off as all six men continually end up in the ring, referee Bill Alfonso has his hands completely full here. Taker gets the upper hand and is about to Tombstone Sabu when Sullivan finds his nerve, along with a steel chair, and waffles Undertaker from behind with it!!!!!! Sabu takes the chair from Sullivan and damn near caves Undertaker’s head in with it!!!!!! Sabu then climbs the ropes with the chair and hits the Super Arabian Facebuster!!!!!! Sabu poses over the Undertaker!!!!!! Styles cannot believe what Sabu has done to the Undertaker two weeks in a row, he is about to close the show when he says Missy Hyatt is with Ted Dibiase who is demanding to be heard. Missy is backstage with Dibiase who says he heard that this is his last shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Title, Dibiase says that’s fine, but if it’s his last shot he’s got a challenge for Bret Hart, a challenge he will present next week and he wonders if Bret is man enough to accept it!!!!!! Bret comes out and shakes hands with Styles. Styles says that Bret has been indeed a fighting Champion and in just a few weeks he will be defending the title yet again, against a man who many say has Bret’s number, Ted Dibiase. Styles says that Dibiase claims to have a challenge for Bret, one Dibiase does not think Bret will accept, Styles then invites Ted Dibiase to join them. Dibiase says that this is his last shot at the title, and if that’s the case he doesn’t want there to be any question as to who won or who lost. Dibiase talks about their impromptu match at Starrcade, and how people have claimed that Bret didn’t have time to prepare and that Bret’s foot was under the bottom rope before the three was counted, he talks about the match at the Chi Town Rumble and the questions of whether Bret’s foot was under the bottom rope before or after Bret’s arm fell for the third time, and then finally their match on this program just a few weeks ago and the double pin situation. Dibiase asks Bret if he wants to find out once and for all who is the better wrestler and Bret says he does. Dibiase then says he vows no interference, no Big Bubba Rogers or anyone else, just him and Bret one on one. Dibiase says he has to know who the better man is and challenges Bret to the one match where there can be no questions as to who won and who lost, an I QUIT MATCH!!!!!! Dibiase asks Bret if he has the guts? Bret doesn’t bat an eye, he tells Dibiase that at Slamboree he is ON!!!!!! The show goes off the air with Dibiase and Bret nose to nose!!!!!!! . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Back from the break and Joey says he still cannot believe it, on April 17th live on PPV, Bret Hart will defend the NWA World Title against Ted Dibiase in an I QUIT Match. Styles says he will get a word with Bret this Wednesday Night about it, but that won’t be all for Bret as he is going to have to face the undefeated Hunter Hearst Helmsely in a non title match as well on WNW!!!!! Styles wonders if HHH is going to be able to steal a victory from Bret, who’s mind will have to be on the I Quit match in just a few short weeks. On today’s program the Tag Tournament continues as we have 3 big matches!!!! The Kid teams with the man who pushed him to the limit just 10 days ago on WNW, the Modern Day Kamikaze Jinsei Shinzaki to take on the newly formed team of Chris Adams and David Taylor, also the team Taylor and Adams beat last week in their debut, The Smoking Gunns will battle the Executioners and then the big one, the Patriot’s war with Kevin Sullivan continues as he teams with Tommy Dreamer to face Sullivan and The Tazmaniac. BUDDY LANDEL WITH COL PARKER VS. MATT HARDYLandel battles the young Matthew Hardy in Matt’s NWA debut. While Landel is systematically working Hardy over we get a split screen with pre recorded comments from Landel. Landel says that now the issue of who is control of the Studd Stable has been settled it is time to bring more gold to the Stable. Landel says he is making a point right now to challenge whomever leaves Slamboree with the NWA World Heavyweight Title and whomever leaves with the International title. Landel says that he is going straight to the top. Back in the ring Landel makes Hardy submit to the figure four leglock. WINNER: BUDDY LANDEL. . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . A short music video is shown with some of the death defying moves The Kid and Jinsei Shinzaki preformed against each other in their match 10 days ago on WNW. #1 CONTENDER TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT: THE KID AND JINSEI SHINZAKI VS. CHRIS ADAMS AND DAVID TAYLORThe Kid and Jinsei start the match out in spectacular fashion hitting double diving suicide dives on Adams and Taylor as the Brits come to the ring! The two daredevils seem to have the early part of the match well in hand, but Taylor and Adams, the old sawbones that they are, refuses to stay down and when Taylor catches Jinsei in a waist lock when Jinsei attempts a handspring back elbow and then drops him on his head with a German Suplex, it quickly changes the tide. Taylor is able to get the win for his team after a double underhook backbreaker, but it wasn’t an easy win as Adams and Taylor were beaten from pillar to post by the young highflyers. WINNERS: CHRIS ADAMS AND DAVID TAYLOR. . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . #1 CONTENDER TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT: THE SMOKING GUNNS VS. THE EXECUTIONERS During the match a split screen with pre recorded comments from the Gunns pops up, the Gunns talk about last week and how Adams and Taylor cheated them out of another win. Billy says he only has 75 percent total vision as an after effect of whatever it was Taylor threw in his face. The Gunns say that they aren’t done with Adams and Taylor yet and as soon as they get the chance they will pay them back. Billy vision comes into play early here as the Executioners take advantage of it. Pain drops a driving elbow off the top rope onto Billy and almost gets a three count. Billy is in bad shape until he is able to roll out of the way of a moonsault attempt by Agony. Billy makes the desperation tag to Bart who cleans house before pinning Agony after a piledriver. WINNERS: THE SMOKING GUNNSStyles wonders how much Billy’s reduced vision will affect the Gunns going forward. . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Missy Hyatt is sitting at a desk for the SLAMBOREE CONTROL CENTER. She says that Slamboree will be held on April 17th, Live on Pay Per View from the Boston Garden!!! Missy says the show is shaping up to be one for the ages. In a match that has been months in the making Bret Hart will be defending the NWA World Title against Ted Dibiase in what Dory Funk Jr. is calling Ted Dibiase’s last shot at the title, and as we learned on Wednesday Night, this match will be the most dreaded match in all of wrestling, an I Quit mach. There are no rules in an I Quit match, only that you have to make you opponent scream I Quit in any way you possibly can. Missy says that this kind of match ends careers. Kevin Nash will face Sid Vicious in a #1 contenders match!!! But that’s not all!! The International Championship will be up for grabs when Johnny Polo defends against the man he eliminated last at the Chi Town Rumble in order to win the belt, former NWA World Champion Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. After months of being at each others throat and countless matches that have ended in DQ’s, Big Bubba Rogers and Ron Simmons will try and settle things once and for all in a Street Fight, and finally, the Bruise Brothers will defend the NWA World Tag Team Titles if they get passed Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas next week that is, against the team that wins the Tag Team Tournament on World Wide Wrestling, The Armstrong Brothers, The Smoking Gunns and Chris Adams and David Taylor have advanced, but there is one first round match to go, so keep watching World Wide every week to find out just who will win that shot!!! Don’t miss out on this spectacular card, call you cable and satellite providers today and tell them you want to see Slamboree!!!! . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Joey Styles goes over the Patriot’s issues with Kevin Sullivan, how The Patriot originally came into the NWA to help his friend Tatanka against Sullivan and his Brood. Sullivan successfully ran Tatanka out of the NWA, but The Patriot has remained and has been warring with Sullivan ever since. The Patriot isn’t alone in his war with Sullivan, Sabu and The Tazmaniac however, as the Undertaker has also been on the receiving end of Sullivan’s assaults. Most recently the Undertaker and Sabu have been attacking each other in escalating assaults, and one has to wonder if The Undertaker will make his presence felt here tonight. #1 CONTENDER TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT: THE PATRIOT AND TOMMY DREAMER VS. KEVIN SULLIVAN AND THE TAZMANIAC WITH SABU Just like any match that involves the Patriot and Sullivan’s Brood this match is a total cluster. All four men are in and out of the ring battering each other. No one team every gains the upperhand because no two men are ever in the ring alone for any length of time. Sabu even tries to get involved several times. Tommy Dreamer looks like he is about to get the win for his team when he DDT’s The Tazmaniac, but Sullivan breaks up the pin attempt. The Patriot and Sullivan then end up brawling and tumbling out of the ring. Dreamer’s attention is diverted and when he finally returns it to The Tazamaniac, Taz is back to his feet and dumps Dreamer on his head with a head and arm Tazplex!!! Sabu and Sullivan are beating on the Patriot as Taz covers Dreamer and gets the win. WINNERS: KEVIN SULLIVAN AND THE TAZMANIACAfter the match Sabu jumps in the ring and joins Taz in beating down Tommy Dreamer. Suddenly BONG BONG BONG Sounds over the arena, Sabu looks freaked out and Styles gets totally freaked out when THE UNDERTAKER’S HAND BUSTS THROUGH THE RING APRON!!!!!! TAKER RISES UP FROM THE RING AND GRABS AHOLD OF SABU, SABU IS KICKING AND CLAWING TO GET AWAY AS UNDERTAKER DRAGS SABU INTO THE HOLE IN THE RING!!!!!! STYLES YELLS “OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” AS THE SHOW GOES OFF THE AIR!!!!
Wednesday Night Warriors March 30, 1994 Broadcast LIVE on MTV . . . . . . Joey Styles and International Champion Johnny Polo are at ringside, after Styles gives Polo a hard time about what happened last week, they start to talk about this week’s program. Polo says he can’t wait to see The Bruise Brothers destroy Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas once and for all. Also here today Sabu will be in action after being dragged to hell by the Undertaker on World Wide Wrestling, we will talk with both Bret Hart and Ted Dibiase about their upcoming I Quit match at Slamboree, and Bret will be in non title action against the undefeated Hunter Hearst Helmsely. All this, plus all the stars of the NWA are here tonight as we prepare for Slamboree!!!! NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE BRUISE BROTHERS WITH COL ROBERT PARKER VS. RICKY STEAMBOAT AND SHANE DOUGLASSteamboat starts for his team and Douglas is more than happy to let him do so. Steamboat seems to be in control early against Jacob and Eli, getting nearfalls on both of them as the early action is fast and furious. Steamboat gets clobbered from behind by Jacob while running the ropes and that turns the tide. The Bruise Brothers put a hell of a beating on Steamboat, but the Dragon refuses to give up. Steamboat tries to break away a couple times to make the tag and each time the Bruise Brothers cut him off. Finally Steamboat hits an enziguri on Jacob and that allows him to make the long crawl across the ring, Douglas is reaching for the tag, begging Steamboat to make it. Steamboat is just about there when . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . DOUGLAS PULLS HIS HAND BACK AND DROPS OFF THE APRON!!!!!!!!! Douglas is walking to the back and leaving Steamboat alone as Styles wonders what the hell is going on and we head to a commercial break!!! . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . A split screen is shown as we return from break. On one side Steamboat is getting battered by the Bruise Brothers, on the other Missy Hyatt is standing outside of a locker room, she says Douglas just went in and she is waiting for him to come out to get a word with him. Just then Douglas, still in his wrestling gear but with a T Shirt on barges out of the locker room, carrying his bags. She tries to ask Douglas what happened and he powers passed. Scott Riggs chases Douglas out of the locker room to ask him what the hell is going on. Douglas hits Riggs and then throws him into a steel roll down door before exiting the building!!! Back in the ring the Bruise Brothers are absolutely punishing Steamboat, much to Johnny Polo’s delight who is yelling for the Bruise Brothers to keep it up. Steamboat tries several comebacks, but even he can’t fight off two men, especially two men like the Bruise Brothers. Steamboat eats a double press slam into a double gut buster and is pinned by Eli WINNERS: THE BRUISE BROTHERSStyles says that he cannot believe what has just happened and that Douglas should be ashamed of himself. Styles says Steamboat looks in bad shape and Polo says that he doesn’t look like a guy who can win the International Title now does he??? Polo is laughing as we go to break . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . THE KID VS. TERRY TAYLORThe Kid faces the veteran Terry Taylor next, Styles and Polo are still talking about Douglas and Steamboat and how Steamboat had to be helped to the back. While they are talking The Kid and Taylor have a pretty standard match with The Kid hitting his signature spots and then pinning Taylor after a moonsault. WINNER: THE KIDMissy Hyatt is backstage with the man who will face Bret Hart in Non Title action later tonight Hunter Hearst Helmsely and his manager JJ Dillon. Missy asks Hunter if he saw what Douglas did and Hunter says he doesn’t give a crap. Hunter says all he cares about is winning the NWA World Title, and while tonight is a non title match, he knows if he wins it, that puts him right on track to getting title shots. Hunter says Bret’s mind better be on tonight’s match with him and not looking ahead to the I QUIT Match at Slamboree with Ted Dibiase, because Hunter says Bret is going to need everything he’s got to beat Hunter tonight!!!!! . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Styles and Polo touch on the match later tonight with Bret and Hunter, Styles says that he will talk to Bret after this next commercial break about the I Quit Match at Slamboree and what it means. Styles says that Ricky Steamboat is in the back and is confused as to what happened. He also says they are checking Steamboat because he is showing signs of a concussion, which Polo finds hilarious. They then turn their attentions to the war that has been blazing between Big Bubba Rogers and Ron Simmons, Styles says at Slamboree they will face in an anything goes Street Fight and Styles truly believes that whomever loses that match will not be seen in the NWA again. RON SIMMONS VS. LOUIE SPICOLLISpicolli is a good young scrapper and is destined for greatness one day, alas today is not that day. Simmons is an absolute beast and destroys Spicolli with a spinebuster for the win. WINNER: RON SIMMONSAs soon as the bell ring, Simmons is attacked by Big Bubba Rogers!!!! Rogers pearl harbors Simmons and drops him hard to the mat with a neckbreaker. Simmons then pulls a garbage can out from under the ring and blast Simmons with it!!!! To top it all off Rogers whips Simmons into the ropes and Bubba Slams him onto the garbage can!!!!!!! Simmons is left lying in the ring as Bubba walks to the back, he looks into the camera and says there is more where that came from at Slamboree!!!! . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Joey Styles is standing in the middle of the ring and asks the fans to welcome the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart!! Hart comes down to the ring, put his sunglasses on a little kid at ringside and then climbs in and shakes Joey Styles hand. Joey talks about Ted Dibiase’s blockbuster challenge last week, for an I Quit Match at Slamboree, and Bret’s acceptance of it. Styles has heard it said by many wrestlers that an I Quit match is the most dreaded match of them all, more so than a cage match, it’s a match that wrestlers try their best to keep away from. Bret says it’s true and when his dad was training him to be a wrestler he did two things, first he told him to stay away from I Quit matches as much as he could, and then he trained him in the art of submission wrestling, teaching him the Sharpshooter and the dreaded Sugar Hold, in case the day came that Bret would have to be in an I Quit Match. Bret says that I Quit matches are so much different than any other match, not because of the physical training, but because of the mental training, you have to train yourself to be able to not only take insane and ungodly amounts of punishment, but also to be able to do things to another human being that you never dreamed you could do in order to make them say I Quit. Bret said he understands why Dibiase pulled this card, why he made this challenge. This is his last chance at the World Title, anything else he ever does in his life will pale in comparison to this. He has to win this match or else he will always be full of regret. Sure he may go on to win other titles, but nothing compares to the NWA World Heavyweight Title and every wrestler competing today knows that. Bret says that there can be no mistakes as to who the winner is, no controversy, no second guessing. There is only the winner and the man who yelled the two most dreaded words in wrestling I QUIT. Bret says that on April 17th, on PPV live from the Boston Garden, he will not be the person who says I Quit, he doesn’t know how to quit. Bret says it will probably be the most vicious and brutal match of his entire career, but he is going into Slamboree with only one goal in mind, making one of the best wrestlers in the world today yell I QUIT. Not only yelling I Quit to end the match, but yelling I Quit to end his life long quest to be the World Heavyweight Champion. Bret says what is keeping him up at night isn’t what could happen to him in that match, but what he is going to have to do to Dibiase in order to make him say it. Styles then turns attentions to Bret’s match later tonight against the undefeated Hunter Hearst Helmsely. Styles asks if preparing for the match with Dibiase is going to affect him here tonight, because Hunter has proven himself here in the NWA, and even though this is a non title match, a win for Hunter would solidify his position and surely put him in line for title matches. Bret says he isn’t over looking HHH at all, he knows what Hunter has done so far here in the NWA and he knows that tonight will be a knock down drag out war. Hart says HHH has his undivided attention tonight that he promises. . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . Missy is backstage with Ted Dibiase, Dibiase first wishes HHH luck tonight, but tells HHH that his winning, if he does win, won’t matter much when Dibiase wins the title at Slamboree. Dibiase says everything Bret says about the I Quit Match is true, every bit of it. Dibiase says that an I Quit match bares the soul of a wrestler. Dibiase says he has never said I Quit, ever, and he won’t say it at Slamboree. Dibiase says this is his last chance at destiny and Bret is going to have to kill him to end the match because nothing Bret does will make him say those two words. KEVIN NASH AND DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE VS. OMEGAPage doesn’t even get on the ring apron for this one as he takes a seat at the commentary table with Polo and Styles. Nash dominates and toys with the masked men while DDP calls the match as if Nash was in an Olympic competition. Styles then presents the split screen and Sid Vicious. Styles tries to interview Vicious, but Page keeps insulting Sid and interrupting. Sid finally has enough and vanishes from the screen. Page thinks that Sid’s brain exploded trying to process all the information. Nash Jackknifes Surge and pins him with one foot. WINNER: KEVIN NASHJust as Nash is being announced as the winner, Sid Vicious starts to head down the aisle, calling out DDP!!!! Page realizes what’s going on and jumps into the ring Nash. Page is hiding behind Nash who is waiting for Sid. Sid is about to climb into the ring when referees and wrestlers from the back rush out to try and keep some order. Styles says we will be back after order has been restored. . As we know from WNW, Bret Hart will be defending the NWA World Title against Ted Dibiase in what Dory Funk Jr. is calling Ted Dibiase’s last shot at the title, and the match will be contested under I Quit rules, which means the only way to win is to make your opponent yell the words I QUIT. In a match that has been building since The Chi Town Rumble, and intensified last week, Kevin Nash will face Sid Vicious in a #1 contenders match!!! But that’s not all!! The International Championship will be up for grabs when Johnny Polo defends against the man he eliminated last at the Chi Town Rumble in order to win the belt, former NWA World Champion Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, that is unless Shane Douglas’ betrayal and abandonment of Steamboat which lead to Steamboat being left alone against the Bruise Brothers caused any sort of injury to Steamboat that will keep him from the match. Missy says she has talked with Dory and if Steamboat cannot compete, a suitable replacement will be found. After months of being at each others throat and countless matches that have ended in DQ’s, Big Bubba Rogers and Ron Simmons will try and settle things once and for all in a Street Fight, and finally, the Bruise Brothers will defend the NWA World Tag Team Titles, against the team that wins the Tag Team Tournament on World Wide Wrestling, the first round matches are in the books, and this week on World Wide, The Smoking Gunns will battle The Tazmaniac and Kevin Sullivan and the Armstrong Brothers will face Chris Adams and Dave Taylor!!! Don’t miss out on this spectacular card, call you cable and satellite providers today and tell them you want to see Slamboree!!!! . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . Styles and Polo talk about what just went down with Sid and Nash, they then talk about this past weekend on World Wide and how Kevin Sullivan and The Tazmaniac defeated The Patriot and Tommy Dreamer to advance in the tag tournament, but then after the match Sabu was dragged straight to hell by the Undertaker, they then show a video replay of Undertaker busting through the ring apron and dragging Sabu away. SABU W/KEVIN SULLIVAN VS. PJ WALKER Sabu is paranoid and his head keeps jutting around trying to keep an eye out. This distraction allows the young PJ Walker to actually score a few nearfalls on Sabu, until Sabu finally snaps out of it and puts a hurting on Walker with his patented high flying suicidal style. Sabu pins Walker after a tornado ddt. WINNER: SABUKevin Sullivan grabs a microphone after the match and calls out the Undertaker, Sullivan dares the Undertaker to face Sabu one on one here next week. The lights go out!!! When they come back on a bodybag is lying in the ring with a note on it that reads “YES”. Sabu is beyond freaked out as the Undertaker seems to be winning the war of mindgames!!!! . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . NON TITLE: NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BRET HART VS. HUNTER HEARST HELMSELY W/JJ DILLONBefore the match begins, Ted Dibiase’s music hits and Dibiase heads down to the ring to join Polo and Styles on commentary. Bret and Hunter have hell of a techinal match to start, neither man is able to gain an advantage, that is until Bret lands funny during a leapfrog and comes up limping. HHH notices it and attacks the leg. HHH starts to work over Bret’s leg and locks him in the numerous submission holds he has used since arriving here in the NWA, but Bret refuses to quit. Hunter punishes Bret but Hart continues to show why the match at Slamboree is going to be a hell of a fight as no matter how much punishment HHH heaps onto Bret, Bret refuses to quit. Bret finally makes the babyface come back, and looks to be on his way to winning the match when he makes a huge mistake. He knocks HHH out of the ring with a clothesline and the tries to for a slingshot plancha from the ring to the floor, but HHH moves and Bret crashes onto the concrete floor!!!! HHH rolls back into the ring, but Bret having hit his already injured knee on the concrete cannot put any weight on it to get back to his feet and back into the ring!!! HHH ends up winning the match by count out, but the real story here is how messed up with Bret’s knee just two weeks away from the I Quit match at Slamboree? ?
