Joey Styles and Johnny Polo are seated at ringside. Styles welcomes everyone to another Wednesday Night Warriors, where tonight, Mike Rotunda and Ron Simmons go one on one in our main event. Also here tonight we will speak with Kevin Sullivan about the offer he made to Paul Bearer last week. Polo asks Styles what Styles thought of Polo’s match this past weekend on NWA World Wide Wrestling. Styles says Polo needs to work on his skills a little bit, and Polo says that’s what all Joey’s girlfriends say about Joey. Also here tonight Ricky Steamboat has requested some time to speak about the controversial finish to last week’s NWA World Tag Title Match. But first, NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart is in a non title match RIGHT NOW!!!!


Pat Tanaka is standing in the ring as Bret Hart’s music begins to play. The NWA World Champion climbs into the ring and poses for the fans a bit. As Hart is giving away his sunglasses to a kid at ringside,TED DIBIASE’S MUSIC BEGINS TO PLAY?!??!?!??!?!? Dibiase makes his way to, and then climbs into the ring. Dibiase grabs the microphone and hands Pat Tanaka a briefcase full of money. Dibiase says he wants to buy Tanaka’s contract for tonight! Tanaka agrees and leaves with the cash!! Dibiase then announces that he will take Tanaka’s place!!!!! Bret is more than happy to oblige!!!

TED DIBIASE
NON TITLE

Styles and Polo cannot believe that we are getting this unannounced, unplanned impromptu non title match between the two men who will meet at The Chi Town Rumble. Polo reminds everyone that Dibiase holds a two pin advantage in singles matches over Bret. Bret and Dibiase may have a deep rooted animosity toward each other, but that doesn’t mean that they go full tilt at each other. These two veterans are two of the best technical wrestlers in the world, and two of the smartest as well, they aren’t going to risk slipping up in a brawl.

The two are as evenly matched as any two wrestlers can be. Everytime Hart gets a hold locked in, Dibiase finds a way to reverse it and vice versa. Hart finally gets the upper hand and has Dibiase in a world of trouble after Dibiase whips Hart into the corner and tries to charge in after him, Hart gets his feet up and Dibiase runs right into them!!! Hart then hops up on the second turnbuckle and catches a dazed Dibiase with a Bulldog!!!! Hart then goes into this sequence, hitting a side russian leg sweep, a backbreaker, a snap suplex and a forearm from the middle turnbuckle. Bret then locks in the Sharpshooter!!!!! The crowd is going wild, but Dibiase isn’t giving up!!!!

Alfonso is right in Dibiase’s face as Bret pulls back on the Sharpshooter, Styles says that Dibiase is about to give up!!!!! And then

MIKE ROTUNDA AND BIG BUBBA ROGERS ATTACK BRET!!!!!!!!! It’s a three on one beat down until RON SIMMONS rushes out of the locker room!!!! Simmons hits Rotunda with a football spear!!!!! Simmons and Rogers then start to brawl until Simmons PRESS SLAMS ALL 300 PLUS POUNDS OF BIG BUBBA ROGERS!!!!! Dibiase quickly bails out of the ring, he and his crew escape to the back as Simmons checks on the downed World Heavyweight Champion.

Polo and Styles talk about what happened in the last segment and show Simmons just tearing through people! They talk about tonight’s main event between Rotunda and Simmons and how if anyone interferes they will be suspended. Styles says that it’s a hefty suspension, 3 weeks, and that would mean missing The Chi Town Rumble and a shot at the International Title!!! Styles then sends us to the back to Missy Hyatt who is with Kevin Sullivan and Sullivan is holding an hourglass. Missy asks Sullivan if the offer Sullivan made to Bearer last week was legit or if it was another twisted mindgame. Sullivan turns the hourglass over so the sand starts to fall. Sullivan says that time is slipping through Bearer’s hands just like the sand is slipping to the other side of the hourglass. Sullivan says he knows that the decision is eating at the fringes of his soul. Sullivan says that it shouldn’t, the choice is an easy one to make, either join him and dominate the wrestling world, or don’t and…. SULLIVAN SMASHES THE HOURGLASS ON THE FLOOR!!!!!! Sullivan says if they don’t they’ll end up just like the hourglass, broken, shattered, twisted and scattered to the wind.

Back in the arena, Styles thinks that there is something seriously wrong with Sullivan. Polo says he likes it, that Sullivan is getting right in Undertaker and Paul Bearer’s heads. Styles then talks about Buddy Landel’s attack on The Kid several weeks back, and how Landel is refusing to face The Kid in the ring. He then shows footage of this past weekend’s NWA World Wide and Buddy Landel attacking Tommy Dreamer, and The Kid making the save.

JOHNNY GRUNGE

The Kid looks better than he did last time, with the limp no longer noticeable. Grunge tries to turn the match into a brawl early, but The Kid uses his educated feet to end that quickly. Grunge then tries to take the match to the floor, and The Kid obliges him, bringing the crowd to their feet after hitting a sommersault plancha on Grunge!!! The Kid rolls Grunge back into the ring and after a top rope leg drop pins him for the 1-2-3!!!

WINNER: THE KID

Joey says that The Kid will have a much harder time with his opponent this weekend on NWA World Wide when he faces the undefeated Hunter Hearst Healmsley. Speaking of HHH he and his manager James J Dillon are backstage with Missy Hyatt!

Missy asks about HHH’s match with The Kid this weekend on World Wide and how The Kid is HHH’s biggest test to date. HHH doesn’t see it that way, he says that it is a disgrace that he has had to wrestle these lowerclass wrestlers since getting here. HHH says he is the future of the business and his time is now. He wants Bret Hart and the NWA World Title and he is tired of having to toil with these wrestlers who lack of any real skill. Dillon says that they want the NWA to stand up and notice what they have in HHH, and if they have to force that issue, if they have to do something to get the NWA’s attention they will. Dillon says that HHH has signed to be in the Chi Town Rumble, and that after he wins it and takes the International Title, the NWA will have no choice but to recognize HHH as the best wrestler in the world today.

Polo and Styles show a video of what happened last week in the main event match between Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas and the challengers for their NWA World Tag Titles, The Bruise Brothers. After the Bruise Brothers repeatedly made illegal switches in and out of the ring, Shane Douglas finally cracked and bashed The Bruise Brothers with a chair forcing a DQ. Styles says that the Bruise Brothers manager Col Robert Parker has been petitioning the NWA for a rematch for his team and demanding that if Steamboat and Douglas get counted out or DQed they lose the titles. Styles then sends us to Dory Funk Jr. for the NWA’s decision.


Dory says good evening and thanks everyone for watching WNW. Dory says he has heard Col Robert Parker’s petition, and he has also seen both matches in question. Dory says he would be hard pressed to rule against Steamboat and Douglas because he says he would do the same thing Douglas did. Dory says it was in his mind to order a Texas Tornado Tag Match without any rules and just let the two teams duke it out to see who the better team was, but then he talked with Ricky Steamboat. The Dragon called Dory and asked Dory to make the match with the stipulations Col Parker wanted!!!! So Dory will do it, at the Chi Town Rumble, Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas will defend the NWA World Tag Team Titles against The Bruise Brothers and if Shane and Ricky are DQed they will lose the tag titles. But Dory says that isn’t all, to keep the Bruise Brothers in line he is ordering that a second referee be placed on t he outside to make sure that the Bruise Brother do not try to pull the old switcheroo.

Joey then sends us to Missy Hyatt who is with the NWA World Tag Team Champions for their reactions.


Douglas is incredibly pissed off that Steamboat would agree to this, he doesn’t understand what is in Ricky’s head. Ricky says he understands why Douglas did what he did last week, but they are better than that. Steamboat says he knows that they are the best tag team in the World today, they have trained to be the best and he refuses to continue to win by using anything other than their skills. Steamboat says Douglas is the best partner he has ever had, and he knows what they can do together. He says at the Chi Town Rumble they will prove to the World and to the Bruise Brothers that they don’t need help to beat any team. Douglas shakes his head, throws his hands in the air and storms off!!!

Back in the arena, Polo laughs at this saying that Steamboat and Douglas aren’t on the same page and they are doomed because of it!!! Styles says when we return, Kevin Nash will be in action.

Styles shows us a recap of what happened at the start of the show, when Bret Hart h ad Ted Dibiase locked in the Sharpshooter only to have Mike Rotunda and Big Bubba Rogers attack him from behind. He then sends us to Missy Hyatt who is with Dibiase, Rogers and Rotunda. Missy says that if they do that later tonight to Ron Simmons when he faces Mike Rotunda, then they will be suspended for 3 weeks and miss the Chi Town Rumble!!!! Dibiase says they know what they are doing and says that Ron Simmons made a huge mistake getting involved. Dibiase says later tonight Mike Rotunda will make short work of Ron Simmons, and Rotunda doesn’t need any help!! Dibiase tells Bret that he got lucky tonight, but he won’t be so lucky on Feb 20th, live on MTV at the Chi Town Rumble. Because at the Rumble, Dibiase swears he will take the NWA Title from Bret!!!

Run DMC’S Down with the King is blasting in the arena when we return from break as Kevin Nash is walking to the ring. Styles says that Nash is hell bent on getting another shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Title and has joined the Chi Town Rumble, not because he wants the International Title, but because he thinks if he has the International Title that will get him more shots at the NWA World Heavyweight Belt!!!!

D’LO BROWN
VS.
KEVIN NASH

Nash kills Brown dead. He blasts the rookie with a big boot to the jaw, then nails him with a sidewalk slam before crushing him with a Jack Knife Powerbomb, but instead of pinning Brown Nash PRESS SLAMS HIM OUT OF THE RING!!!!! This is the third week in a row Nash has pressed someone over the top to the floor!!! Referee Pee Wee Moore counts D’lo out, and gives the win to Nash.

WINNER: KEVIN NASH VIA COUNT OUT

Brown isn’t moving and medics are out to check on him Nash grabs the ringside microphone. Nash says that it didn’t have to be this way, the NWA made it this way. All they had to do was give him his rematch, but they didn’t. Nash points at Brown who is now being loaded onto a stretcher and says that this kid career is now over before it started because of that decision. Nash says at the Chi Town Rumble he will end 19 other careers if he has to in order to win. Nash says once again that once he has the International Title the NWA won’t be able to deny him World Heavyweight Title matches!!!

Styles mentions that Polo is in the Rumble and asks if that means Nash is going to end his career as well? Polo tells Styles to shut up. Styles is getting a kick out of how worried Polo is acting and Polo asks doesn’t Missy Hyatt have someone in the back to talk to?? Styles laughs as Polo sends us to a commercial break.

TNT

TNT successfully defeated his former partner Crash The Terminator this past weekend on NWA World Wide and tonight tries to defeat another wrestler who has been on a roll here in the NWA as of late, Tommy Dreamer. Polo doesn’t say much about Dreamer, again simply stating that they have known each other for a very, very long time and that he doesn’t particularly like Tommy. Dreamer and TNT put on quite a brawl, including fighting on the outside of the ring. TNT looks to have the match locked in after a spinwheel kick, but Dreamer kicks out at the last possible second. TNT then makes the mistake of dropping his head too early and Dreamer catches him with a DDT out of nowhere for the pin. Styles remarks that Dreamer’s DDT looks very much like Polo’s and Polo says it’s because they learned it from the same person and then tells Styles to drop it.

WINNER: TOMMY DREAMER

Missy Hyatt is backstage with NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart. Bret says that he gave the world a preview tonight of what is going to happen at the Chi Town Rumble. Bret says if Dibiase’s thugs hadn’t attacked him, Dibiase was going to give up. Bret says he hopes Ron Simmons knocks Mike Rotunda’s block off!!!! Hart tells Dibiase at the Chi Town Rumble, he will be excellently executed!!!!!

Simmons storms the ring, but Rotunda tries to get the drop on him, jumping him before he climbs through the ropes!!!! Rotunda tries beating on Simmons but the former college football standout isn’t feeling any off it!!!! After blocking a Rotunda punch Simmons levels him with a punch of his own!!! Simmons then goes to work dominating Rotunda, first with a football tackle, then several clotheslines and then a press slam!!!!! Simmons whips Rotunda into the ropes and damn near breaks his back with a spinebuster!!!!! Simmons doesn’t get to make the cover though as Big Bubba Rogers jumps into the ring and attacks Simmons with Rotunda’s briefcase, drawing the DQ, and guaranteeing Rogers a three week suspension!!!!

WINNER: RON SIMMONS VIA DQ

Rogers and Rotunda are about to put the hurt on Simmons when Bret Hart and the Smoking Gunns coming running out for the save. Rogers and Rotunda retreat as Styles wonders why in the hell Rogers would do that??? As the show goes off the air, Joey hypes the Kid vs. HHH match this weekend on NWA World Wide and next week, Kevin Nash will wrestle two men and in our main event. That was just signed Ricky Steamboat will go one on one with Eli of the Bruise Brothers!!!!

Joey shows footage of Ted Dibiase paying Pat Tanaka to take his place in the opening match on WNW against Bret Hart. The footage then jumps ahead to Bret locking in the Sharpshooter and Mike Rotunda and Big Bubba Rogers attacking Bret, then Ron Simmons making the save. Styles says that wasn’t the last time we saw Big Bubba Rogers get involved in a match on Wednesday Night. Joey says later on he will show the footage of what Rogers did that has caused Dory Funk Jr to rethink the NWA World Title match at the Chi Town Rumble!!!!

.Styles plays a video of the finish to the Ron Simmons-Mike Rotunda match and how Big Bubba Rogers jumped in the ring and attacked Simmons with Rotunda’s briefcase. Styles says because of that attack, Rogers has been suspended for 3 weeks and will miss the Chi Town Rumble. Styles says that Dory Funk Jr. is quite concerned because Rogers KNEW that if he got involved he would be suspended and did so anyway. Because of this, Dory will be making an announcement on Wednesday Night that will have an effect on the NWA World Title match at the Chi Town Rumble!!!!

Tommy Rich with Col Robert Parker defeats Paul Diamond with a Sleeper Hold.

After the match, Landel (!) interviews Parker about this Wednesday Night’s match between Ricky Steamboat and Eli as well as the match at the Chi Town Rumble where if Steamboat and Douglas are counted out or DQed they lose the title and the fact a second referee will be at ringside to make sure that Bruise Brothers don’t try and pull a fast one. Parker says that Steamboat surprised him agreeing to the match, and he also says that he don’t mind the second referee because that means that a second set of eyes will be watching Shane Douglas to see if he cheats!!! Parker calls the Bruise Brothers the rightful World Tag Team Champions and says they will prove it at the Chi Town Rumble!!! Landel says he believes him and tells Parker that he is looking for a manager and maybe they should talk later.

Missy Hyatt talks to Ricky Steamboat about his match against Eli on WNW. Missy is surprised that Douglas is no where to be found and Ricky says after their last interview with Missy, Ricky hasn’t seen Douglas anywhere. Ricky says Douglas is young and just has to blow off some steam. Ricky says at WNW he will be breathing fire and that the Bruise Brothers will get only a taste of the inferno that will engulf them at the Chi Town Rumble.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley with James J Dillon defeats The Kid after clipping The Kid’s bad knee and then locking in a Texas Cloverleaf to force the submission. While Landel never got in the ring or physically got involved he continually messed with The Kid, shouting at him and getting into the Kid’s head. The Kid had HHH beat after a sommersault plancha, but took too long to try and roll HHH back into the ring because he was arguing with Landel, which gave HHH the chance to recover and clip The Kid.

Styles closes the show saying that he wouldn’t want to be Landel when the Kid finally gets his hands on him, Styles tells everyone to tune into WNW to hear Dory’s announcement, and see Ricky Steamboat face Eli. Then here on NWA World Wide next week, Chris Adams will make his NWA debut and our main event will feature Buddy Landel here against Tommy Dreamer in a rematch from last week!!!! Landel says Dreamer is lucky he didn’t cripple him the first time, this time he’ll finish the job!!!

First they have a big announcement, as a result of what happened in last weeks main event, the NWA has ordered Mike Rotunda and Ron Simmons to battle again, this time on February 20, live on MTV at the Chi Town Rumble!!!!! Tonight, Ricky Steamboat will face Eli of the Bruise Brothers in our main event, Polo says that Douglas hasn’t been in the building at all and no one has seen him since he stormed out last week after finding out what Ricky agreed to. Polo says if Steamboat goes it alone tonight with no one at ringside to watch his back, he won’t make it to the Chi Town Rumble !!!! Also tonight Dory Funk Jr. will make a block buster announcement in regards to the NWA World Title match at the Chi Town Rumble!!! Kevin Nash will wrestle not one, but two men, and The Patriot will be in action!!!!

Joey says this is a rematch from the very first episode of WNW, much like that one this is a back and forth affair as the two teams throw caution to the wind and let it all hang out. The Smoking Gunns take away the victory here after Tanaka misses a savate kick and nails his partner Kato, and then Billy drops Tanaka with a Rocker Dropper!!!

Dory says how it seems to be becoming a ritual for him to appear on every WNW. Dory says he was shocked by Big Bubba Rogers actions last week and how Rogers knowingly got himself suspended for 3 weeks, just to get at Ron Simmons. But Dory is glad he did in a way because it showed him that sometimes not even fines and suspensions can keep people in the locker room. Dory says he wants a clear cut winner and a clear cut loser in the NWA World Title match and he thinks the fans deserve one as well. Dory says he was encouraged to order a cage match, but feels that a cage match should be reserved for only those most extreme cases. Dory says that instead he is ordering an outside enforcer to make certain that no one will interfere a man to guard the ringside area if you will. Dory says he looked outside of wrestling to the world of boxing and MMA to find this special referee and he has found him. Dory says Ken Shamrock a young up and comer in the dangerous no holds barred world of Mixed Martial Arts has agreed to act as the ringside enforcer. Dory says that he is certain that Mr. Shamrock will be able to handle any situation before him.


Back in the arena Styles really sells this hard, explaining how MMA is a dangerous sport because there are no rules and Ken Shamrock is one of the guys excelling in it. Polo mentions that MMA has been banned in several countries and states. Styles says that no one is going to be able to mess with Ken Shamrock, that Is for sure!!!!! Joey then sends us to the back and Missy Hyatt who is with Bret Hart to get Bret’s reaction.

Missy is indeed with Bret, but also to her surprise, Ron Simmons. Both Bret and Ron put over Shamrock and MMA as a dangerous sport. Bret says he is happy with this ruling because he knows Shamrock isn’t going to let any of Dibiase’s thugs or stooges get involved in the match. Bret and Ron then drop a bombshell when they say they don’t want to wait till February 20th, live on MTV at the Chi Town Rumble to face Mike Rotunda and Ted Dibiase, they want to do it next week in a tag team match!!!! Bret says if Rotunda and Dibiase have the guts they will accept the challenge!!!


Polo is sure that Dibiase and Rotunda will accept the challenge, but says that it shows you what kind of people Simmons and Hart are, they are just trying to injure Rotunda and Dibiase before the Chi Town Rumble!!! Styles says that Missy is now gone in search of Rotunda and Dibiase in the locker room to get their answer. Polo makes a crack about Missy looking for guys in the locker room isn’t anything new.

Nash is a wrecking ball, after pounding the stuffing out of Walker, he throws him to the corner Holly is in and tells Holly to make the tag. Holly comes in and tries to put up a fight, but he two gets destroyed!!!! Nash Press Slams Holly out of the ring, then Press Slams Walker out on top of him!!!!!! Neither man is moving as referee Bill Alfonso counts them out and gives the victory to Nash!!!

WINNER: KEVIN NASH VIA COUNT OUT

Nash grabs the microphone and says it’s just two more victims, victims to the NWA and their poor decision making!!!!

Joey sends us to the back and to Missy Hyatt who has caught up with Mike Rotunda and Ted Dibiase. Dibiase first gives us an update on Big Bubba Rogers, who is getting an all expenses paid trip around the world, plus a nice large bonus. Dibiase has nothing to say about Ken Shamrock except that Shamrock better keep his nose out of the match or he’ll put Shamrock’s lights out!!!!!! Dibiase and Rotunda then accept the match with Hart and Simmons next week.

The Patriot has a monster of an opponent this week, as he faces the giant Brian Lee. The Patriot and Lee beat the stuffing out of each other and Lee almost gets the win after catching Patriot with a Chokeslam, but somehow the Patriot kicks out at 2. After making the babyface comeback the Patriot scaled the ropes and hits his “Patriot Missle” a top rop shoulder block to knock Lee off his feet and set him up for the pin!!!!!

WINNER: THE PATRIOT

The Patriot then joins Joey Styles and talks about The Undertaker and Paul Bearer. He begs Bearer and Undertaker not to accept Kevin Sullivan’s offer. Patriot then reveals that he will be facing Kevin Sullivan on February 20th, Live on MTV at the Chi Town Rumble!!!! Patriot says that he is going to get revenge on Sullivan for everything Sullivan has done since the NWA launched. Patriot also says that if Undertaker joins Sullivan, then The Patriot will have to take Taker out as well!!!!!!

The Kid says he has received permission to stand in Dreamer’s corner this week on NWA World Wide Wrestling. Dreamer says that Landel has allot to answer for and he’ll start answering this weekend on World Wide!!!!!

Polo can’t believe that Dory Funk Jr. would do this, he says that someone should be in Landel’s corner!!! Styles says that Polo could, since he is used to standing on corners. Polo says he is no longer a manager, the joke totally missing him. Styles points out how there are not two referees here tonight to keep the Bruise Brothers from switching out, like there will be at The Chi Town Rumble.

NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPION RICKY STEAMBOAT

Polo laughs that Douglas is not it Ricky corner. Steamboat looks ready to go and when Eli tries to rush him, Steamboat is ready ducking out of the way. Steamboat uses his speed to keep away from Eli, trying to force the big man to run around and wear himself out!! I It seems to be working well until Eli catches Steamboat with a big boot the almost sends Steamboat’s head into the third row! Steamboat goes into full sell mode as Eli just wears him out. No matter how much punishment Eli dishes out though he can’t seem to put Steamboat away. Eli has Steamboat trapped in a bear hug and Shane Doulglas finally makes an appearance in the aisle!!! Douglas is in street clothes and is watching the match as we go to commercial break.

Back from the break Steamboat is starting to make a comeback and after several chops to the sides of Eli’s head forces Eli to release the Bear Hug!!! The Dragon is breathing fire as the babyface comeback kicks in!!!! Steamboat has Eli bouncing around the ring with deep armdrags, dropkicks and chest shattering chops!!!! Steamboat has Eli staggered when he climbs the turnbuckles and prepares to sail off for the Crossbody Block!!! Steamboat hits it, but Col Robert Parker distracts referee Pee Wee Moore and Jacob pulls Eli out!!! Jacob then jumps in the ring and blast Steamboat with a big boot and then a Press Slam!!! Douglas is just watching shaking his head in the aisle!!! Jacob makes the pin as Moore turns around. Moore, thinking Jacob is Eli, makes the count and gives the victory to Eli, er Jacob?!!?!?

WINNER: A BRUISE BROTHER??

The Bruise Brothers and Parker celebrate as Douglas just shakes his head and walks back to the locker room. Polo says that the titles are changing hands at the Chi Town Rumble!!! Joey tells us to make sure to join him for World Wide this weekend when Tommy Dreamer with the Kid in his corner takes on Buddy Landel and then next week, not only will Paul Bearer have to answer Kevin Sullivan, but we have a massive main event as Bret Hart and Ron Simmons take on Ted Dibiase and Mike Rotunda!!!!!

Also this week, we will see Johnny Polo in singles competition, and in our main event Tommy Dreamer faces Buddy Landel in a rematch from two weeks ago and Dreamer will have The Kid in his corner!!!

Buddy Landel with Col Robert Parker defeats Tommy Dreamer with The Kid after Parker tries to interfere and The Kid stops him, Parker drops his brass knux on the mat and while referee Bill Alfonso tries to break up The Kid and Parker fighting Landel picks up the Knux and KO’s Dreamer. Alfonso turns around to count the 1-2-3!!! After the match the Kid chases Landel around the ring, but Landel runs away from him and escapes to the back with Parker.

Styles closes the show reminding everyone not to miss WNW when Bearer gives his answer to Sullivan and Bret Hart teams with Ron Simmons to face Ted DIbiase and Mike Rotunda!!!!

Also here tonight, in our main event, Ron Simmons teams with the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart to face the two men they will battle in singles matches at the Chi Town Rumble, Mike Rotunda and the #1 contender to the NWA World Title, Ted Dibiase!!!!! Plus we will get the final list of 20 wrestlers who will take part in the Chi Town Rumble , we will hear from the NWA World Tag Team Champions about what happened last week on this program and finally we will take a look at the special enforcer for the NWA World Title match at Chi Town Rumble, Ken Shamrock!!! Sabu is his usual manic self flying around the ring, keeping out of reach of Holly. Holly does finally catch Sabu with a Belly to Belly Suplex that he follows up with a brainbuster. Styles thinks we could be in store for an upset, but Sabu kicks out at 2. Holly gets frustrated and tries setting Sabu up for a Superplex, but putting Sabu anywhere near the top rope is a mistake. Sabu knocks Holly off the top and then hits him with an Arabian Facebuster for the 1-2-3!!!!

WINNER: SABU

The Tazmaniac then jumps into the ring and under orders of Sullivan tosses Holly out. Sullivan grabs a microphone and demands Paul Bearer come out and answer him now. Sullivan says time is up Bearer must make his choice!!!!!! Paul Bearer appears in the aisle and Styles says we have to go to a commercial break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bearer is finally in the ring and has a microphone of his own. Sullivan asks Bearer if he has made his choice. Bearer doesn’t answer. Sullivan goes over all the things he has done since the NWA launched, what he did to Tatanka, what he did to The Undertaker, what he is going to do to The Patriot at the Chi Town Rumble in just 4 short days live here on MTV!!! Sullivan asks Bearer is he will join him. Bearer does not answer. Sullivan tells the tale of Dusty Rhodes, a man many thought would be World Champion for a decade and then he got into a war with Kevin Sullivan. Sullivan says that his war with Dusty destroyed Rhodes, it took so much out of him it made Dusty less of a man. Dusty was unable to ever become the wrestler he once was. Sullivan says if Undertaker and Bearer do not join him, that will be Undertaker’s fate!!! Sullivan asks again will you join me and for a third time Bearer does not answer. Sullivan is angry now, he talks about Kevin Nash, Bret Hart and Ted Dibiase the three men vying for the World Title, Sullivan says if they join him, he swears the destruction of those three men, he vows that Undertaker will become World Champion and lay waste to all that stands in front of him, Sullivan yells “JOIN ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Back from the break and Styles and Polo talk about what just happened, they replay Bearer saying no and Sabu and Taz attacking Bearer. Then they show Patriot coming to the rescue and finally show Patriot helping Bearer to the back during the commercial break. Styles says that the Patriot-Sullivan match is going to be a wild one in 4 days at the Chi Town Rumble live here on MTV. Styles says that The Undertaker, where ever he is, will not like what happened here tonight and he wouldn’t want to be in Sullivan’s shoes. Polo says the Undertaker is scared of Sullivan, that’s why he sent Bearer down here to say no instead of doing it himself. Taker has been scared to show his burnt off face since Starcade!!!!! Styles says he doesn’t think that is the case at all. Styles then sends us to the ring for 8 Man Tag Team Action!!!!!

STEVE ARMSTRONG, JESSE JAMES ARMSTRONG, THE KID, AND TOMMY DREAMER
VS.
THE STUDD STABLE (BUDDY LANDEL, TOMMY RICH, AND THE BRUISE BROTHERS WITH COL ROBERT PARKER

Styles said for anyone shocked to see Landel with Parker, then you obviously missed NWA World Wide when Parker came to the ring with Landel and helped him defeat Tommy Dreamer (while Styles is saying this a spilit screen shows a replay of what happened on World Wide.) Styles remarks that Tommy Rich doesn’t look too happy to have Landel as a Stablemate. Polo tells Styles to stop trying to stir up trouble. Rich demands to start the match since he is the “in ring leader” of the Studd Stable. Landel, very sarcastically, bows to Rich and offers him the chance to start against Steve Armstrong. Rich charges Steve and gets a drop toe hold for his troubles.

The babyface foursome then takes turns pounding on the once proud former NWA World Champion. Rich tries to punch his way out of trouble but just can’t seem to break free and the one time that he does, Landel seems to have Alligator Arms. Finally Parker sends in the Bruise Brothers when Jesse James Armstrong hits a pump handle slam on Rich and almost gets a three count to break it all up. A 8 man brawl then breaks out and Styles says it’s a mini Rumble Preview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally things settle down and with Jesse James down and out Landel quickly tags himself in as Rich tries to tag Eli!

Landel yells that it is time to go to school and starts to work over Jesse James. The rookie take quite a beating at the hands of the veteran Landel. Landel spends a little too much time showboating, and when he goes to apply the figure four leglock, he badmouths Steve, telling him that he is going to make his brother cry like a girl. But as Landel locks in the figure four, Jesse James reaches up and gets an inside cradle on Landel!!!!! Alfonso is quick to make the count, but only gets a two!!! Landel springs up in total shock and rushes at Jesse James, and gets caught with a punch to the gut. Jesse James then rises to his feet and snaps off another couple of punches before throwing everything he has into a standing clothesline that knocks both men down!!!

The Kid is on the apron begging for the tag and to get a chance to finally get his hands on Landel!!!! Jesse James slowly crawls over, Landel tries to prevent it but cannot and Jesse James tags out to The Kid!!! Landel back pedals as The Kid pumps his fists and fires up the crowd. Styles says this is the first time Landel and The Kid have been in the same ring for a match since Landel tried to break the Kid’s leg!!! Landel drops out of the ring and tries to run away, but the Kid chases him!!!! Landel rolls back into the ring first and PUNTS The Kid as the Kid rolls back in!!!! Landel then tries to whip the Kid into the ropes, but the Kid leapfrogs Landel and then catches him with a spin wheel kick!!!! Landel begs off into the corner, but The Kid is pressing him. Landel rakes The Kid’s eyes!!!!! With that second of reprieve Landel rushes to his corner to tag out to Eli!!!!


The Kid puts up a valiant fight against the monstrous Bruise Brother, but he gets sent sailing as Eli and his brother Jacob tag in and out and toss The Kid all over the ring. It looks as if The Kid’s goose is cooked when he somehow finds a way to break free and make the hot tag to Steve Armstrong!!! The Veteran of the team, Steve goes right at the bigger Bruise Brothers and looks like a house of fire unloading punches and dropkicks, but it isn’t enough when Jacob reverses an Irish Whip and almost decapitates Steve with a Big Boot. A quick tag to Eli and the two execute a Double Press Slam and Eli makes the cover for the 1-2-3!!!

WINNERS: THE STUDD STABLE WITH COL PARKER

Styles says that the Bruise Brothers are one of the most dominate teams he has ever seen, and he won’t be surprised if they walk out of the Chi Town Rumble with the tag belts. Polo says add in the fact Steamboat and Douglas are not on the same page, and it’s almost guaranteed you are going to see the titles change hands. Styles then says that Landel was able to run away from the Kid tonight, but he will have no where to run at The Rumble or anyone to tag out to. Polo says Landel wasn’t running he was just employing sound tag team strategy. Styles says when we return we will talk with the NWA World Tag Team Champions Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas.

Missy Hyatt is backstage with the NWA World Tag Team Champions Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas, and Douglas is angry. Douglas tells Steamboat he told him so, look at what happened last week!!! Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire or else you are going to get taken out!! Steamboat says if you always fight fire with fire sooner or later you are going to burn the world down!!!! Douglas says Steamboat is full of crap!!!! Steamboat says this arguing is getting them nowhere, they have a match in 4 days against the Bruise Brothers, Douglas says that’s right and because Steamboat has to be so damn honorable they are handicapped in the match!!!!! Steamboat says he knows in his heart of hearts they can beat the Bruise Brothers, he has all the faith in the world in Douglas, saying Douglas is the best partner he has ever had and one of the best wrestlers he has ever seen. Steamboat says together no one can beat them, but they have to be on the same page!!! Douglas finally lets up and shakes Steamboat’s hand saying that in 4 days they will prove what Steamboat is saying, they are the best tag team in the world.


Back in the arena Polo is laughing, he says that there is no way Steamboat and Douglas walk out with the titles at the Chi Town Rumble, because if Douglas and Steamboat get counted out or DQed they lose the titles!!! Polo says Douglas is too much of a hot head, and he’ll do something to get them DQed and lose the belts.

HUNTER HEARST HELMSLEY WITH JAMES J DILLON

Crash is an exciting wrestler and maybe one day he will finally put it all together and make a push toward the top, but until he stops making boneheaded mistakes and going for risks that he doesn’t have to go for, that day will stay far off in the distance. Crash pushes Hunter here, but misses a Top Rope Headbutt. Hunter then hits an underhook piledriver for the win.

Missy Hyatt is backstage with Kevin Nash. Missy says that Nash has injured so many wrestlers in the past several weeks and Nash corrects her, HE didn’t injure anyone, the NWA did. When the NWA awarded the title match to Ted Dibiase instead of giving him his rematch, that led us down this road. Nash says he will go into the Rumble, he will eliminate 19 other men, he will win the International Championship and he will use the fact that he is the International Champion to get his shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Nash says that the NWA is scared of him, they don’t want him to get a shot at the belt because they know if he does he’ll never lose it, and he isn’t the idea Champion like Bret Hart is. Nash says in 4 days, 24 wrestlers are going to find themselves flying over the top to the cold, hard concrete floor!!!


Styles asks Polo if he is ready to meet the cold, hard concrete floor. As always, Polo has nothing to say in response to Kevin Nash. Instead he throws us to a video recap of what happened two weeks ago between Mike Rotunda/Ted Dibiase and Bret Hart/Ron Simmons, followed by Dory Funk’s announcement last week about Ken Shamrock as the special enforcer. Styles then shows a video of Ken Shamrock training for MMA in a dark place, knocking people out with punches and kicks, forcing them to give up to submission holds. Styles says that Shamrock is one bad man and it’s going to be hard for anyone to get passed him to interfere in the match.

Simmons hits the ring and just attacks Rotunda!!!! Hart and Dibiase start brawling as well and the war is on!!!! The match never really settles down at all, all four men keep jumping in and out of the ring, whether they are tagged or not, poor Bill Alfonso has no idea what to do to restore order, but refuses to throw the match out because he knows it’s what the fans have come to see. Dibiase and Rotunda do get the upper hand for a short period on Bret, but it doesn’t last long. The finish comes when Bret tries to set Dibiase up for a superplex, only Dibiase rakes Bret’s eyes, punches him in the gut and then scoops Bret up on his shoulder, Dibiase then executes a type of Oklahoma Stampede off the top rope!!!!! Dibiase lands on top of Bret, hooks a leg and gets the 1-2-3!!!!!

Joey Styles welcomes everyone to the Chi Town Rumble!!!! Joey says he will be flying solo tonight because Johnny Polo is preparing to be quickly eliminated from the Rumble later tonight. Styles runs down tonight’s matches, Kevin Sullivan will meet the Patriot in one on one action and Styles is wondering if The Undertaker will make an appearance after what Sullivan did to Paul Bearer this past Wednesday Night.


Also tonight, Ron Simmons gets his hands on Mike Rotunda and with Big Bubba Rogers still suspended we should finally see these two battle it out without outside interference. The NWA World Tag Team Titles will be on the line in a match where if the Champions Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas get disqualified or counted out they will lose the titles to Col Robert Parker’s Bruise Brothers!!!!!


Plus, the NWA World Heavyweight Title will be up for grabs as Bret Hart meet the challenge of the man that has not only pinned him twice in singles matches, but also pinned him this past Wednesday Night in a tag team match, Ted Dibiase!!!!! Styles says this promises to be one for the history books!!!!

Rotunda comes to the ring first with briefcase firmly in hand. Then LL Cool J’s Mama Said Knock you Out starts to blast through the arena and out storms Ron Simmons!!! Simmons slides into the ring and Rotunda tries to brain him with the briefcase!!!! Simmons kicks Rotunda in the gut and Rotunda drops the case!! Simmons fires off several hard punches backing Rotunda into the ropes, Simmons whips Rotunda off and blasts him with a Spinebuster RIGHT ON TOP OF ROTUNDA’S BRIEFCASE!!!!!!!! Simmons makes the cover and this is all over in less than a minute!!!!!!

WINNER: RON SIMMONS

Simmons leaves the ring, but Rotunda isn’t moving!!! Referees, trainers, EMTs come rushing down to check on Rotunda. They end up bring out a stretcher for him. Styles sends us to the back while this is going on to hear from The Patriot who is with Missy Hyatt.

The Patriot says in a few short moments he and Kevin Sullivan will mix it up in the ring. Patriot says that he came to the NWA to help his friend Tatanka get rid of Sullivan once and for all, but Tatanka was taken down by Sullivan at Starcade by the Golden Spike. Patriot says that he isn’t fighting alone and promises a surprise for Suliivan tonight!!!!

Back in the arena, Rotunda has been stretchered out and Styles says that he has been informed that because of this Rotudna will no longer be able to take part in the Chi Town Rumble, but the NWA is working on finding a replacement for him as we speak.

Sullivan and his brood are out first and as they stalk the ring, The Patriot’s music plays. The Patriot stops in the middle of the aisle and waits as PAUL BEARER comes out to stand in the Patriot’s corner!!! Sullivan laughs at Bearer who keeps yelling at Sullivan. The bell rings and the fight is on!!! Neither man holds anything back as they rush right at each other and start to brawl!!! The Patriot’s strength takes center stage early as he starts launching Sullivan around the ring!!!! Sullivan eats several bodyslams and running clotheslines before escaping the ring to regroup. Styles says the Patriot is too smart to follow Sullivan out of the ring with Sabu and The Tazmaniac waiting to pounce.

Sullivan slides back into the ring and the battle starts anew. The Patriot is really dominating Sullivan and that isn’t more evident than when he Press Slams Sullivan with ease. Sabu jumps on the apron and distracts referee Pee Wee Moore, allowing Sullivan the chance to LOW BLOW The Patriot!!!! Patriot crumbles to the mat like a sack of potatoes!!! Sullivan now takes over, he whips The Patriot hard into the corner and The Patriot crashes to the mat with his back arched in pain. Sullivan just tortures The Patriot with kicks, stomps and submission holds. Styles sends us to a commercial break as Sullivan continues the beating!!

Back from the break, Sullivan hits the double stomp on The Patriot’s stomach and makes the cover, but only gets a two count. Sullivan argues with the Moore about a slow count. Sullivan then ties The Patriot to the Tree of Woe!!!! Sullivan hits the running knee into Patriots gut and then tries for another cover, but once again only gets a two count. Sullivan is not happy at all about this and starts to really lay the punches in on The Patriot.

Sullivan pulls The Patriot to his feet by his mask and hits a pulling piledriver!!!! Sullivan covers but Patriot kicks out at the last possible moment!!!!! Sullivan pulls Patriot up and whips him into the corner. Sullivan walks over to the Patriot and slaps him in the face several times yelling at the Patriot to give it up!!! Each slap seems to awaken the Patriot more and more, to drive him more and more until The Patriot is no selling the slaps!!! Sullivan fires off some chops, punches and kicks but The Patriot is no selling ALL of it!!!

Sullivan tries for another punch, but Patriot blocks it and rocks Sullivan with a punch of his own!!!!! Patriot then begins to unload, backing Sullivan against the ropes!!!! Patriot tries to whip Sullivan off, but Sullivan reverses it!!! Sullivan tries for a clothesline but Patriot ducks it, Sullivan tries for a back elbow, but Patriot ducks it and then catches Sullivan with a flying football tackle!!!!! Sullivan is wiped out!!!!! Patriot doesn’t let up backing Sullivan into a corner, climbing the turnbuckle and raining ten punches down on Sullivan’s head!!!!! Patriot then pulls Sullivan out of the corner and hits a delay vertical suplex!!!!! Patriot floats over and makes the lateral press but only gets a two count!!!


Sullivan tries to fight back now and the two men end up in a full fledged brawl!!! That is until Patriot catches one of Sullivan’s wild punches and turns it into the Full Nelson Slam!!!! The Patriot makes the cover but only gets a two count as Sabu hits a slingshot legdrop on Patriot to break up the pin and cause the disqualification!!!!! The Patriot tries to fight off Sabu, but the Tazmaniac quickly jumps into the ring and attacks as well. As the three men lay into the Patriot the lights suddenly go out!!!! When they come back on THE UNDERTAKER is standing in the middle of the ring!!!!!!!


Tazmainac runs at Taker first and gets plastered with a Clothesline, Sabu rushes him gets caught in a goozle and chokeslammed!!!! Taker makes a move toward Sullivan, but Sullivan bails out of the ring quckily and back pedals as fast as he can to the locker room.

WINNER: THE PATRIOT BY DQ

Styles says that this is far from over between Sullivan and The Undertaker. Styles sends us to a break and says when we return Missy Hyatt will speak with the challengers for the World Tag Team Titles!!!

Missy Hyatt is backstage with Col Robert Parker and his Bruise Brothers. Parker says he isn’t worried about the ref outside of the ring because his Bruise Brothers are fine southern gentleman and have never broken a rule in their lives, unlike Shane Douglas who doesn’t know how to do anything but cheat!!!! Parker says tonight the Bruise Brothers will bring the tag titles to the Stud Stable!!!!



Styles then recaps what has gone on between The Bruise Brothers and the Tag Champions, showing footage of Douglas taking the Brass Knux away from Parker and using them to win the titles, Douglas using a chair to fight off the Bruise Brothers and get his team DQed on WNW a few weeks back and then Steamboat singles match where the Bruise Brothers switched in and out until Steamboat was defeated and Douglas watched from the aisle. Styles says if Steamboat and Douglas are not on the same page tonight, there is no way they will be able to walk out with the titles!

The Bruise Brothers try and use their same strategy of attacking an opponent before they are ready by jumping the Champions as the Champs climb through the ropes. The Bruise Brothers are pounding on them, and try and whip them into the ropes, but Douglas and Steamboat pull the reverse and then they backdrop the Bruise Brothers then both hit clotheslines sending the Bruise Brothers over the top and out of the ring!!!!! Douglas and Steamboat celebrate in the ring as Col Parker regroups his very angry men on the outside as Styles sends us to a commercial break!!!

Back from the break and the match is wide open!!! Douglas and Steamboat are giving as good as they get and Pee Wee Moore is doing a great job keeping the Bruise Brothers from making illegal switches. The brawl soon settles down as Steamboat catches one of the Bruise Brothers, we’ll say Eli, with a series of deep arm drags and then locks an arm bar on him on the mat. Steamboat works the arm for several minutes until Eil is able to break free. Eli tries to overpower Steamboat, but The Dragon finds a way to slip behind Eli and lock in a double chicken wing!!!!!! Eli is screaming in pain and looks about to give up the ghost when Jacob jumps into the ring and nails Steamboat in the back of the head with a big boot!!!! Douglas then jumps into the ring and once again all hell breaks loose!!!!!! Douglas takes Jacob out of the ring with a clothesline that sends them both over. Steamboat catches Eli with a dropkick that sends Eli flying out of the ring. Steamboat then climbs the turnbuckles and sails off crashing onto Douglas, The Bruise Brothers AND referee Pee Wee Moore on the arena floor!!!!!!!!

The crowd is going wild as Steamboat wiped everyone out!!!! Styles shows several replays of the move. Steamboat pulls one of The Bruise Brothers to their feet and rolls them back into the ring. Alfonso is yelling at Douglas to get back to his corner and doesn’t see Parker waffle Steamboat in the back with his cane and break the cane in half!!!!! Parker throws the splintered cane under the ring as Steamboat lies on the outside in pain. Alfonso sees Steamboat down and starts to make his count. Douglas tries to go get Steamboat up but Eli stops him and the two start to fight on the floor. Steamboat tries to get to his feet but cannot and gets counted out!!!!! The Bruise Brothers are the Tag Team Champions!!!! Parker has stolen the titles!!!!

Douglas has finally dropped Eli and rushes over to Steamboat. Douglas sees the broken cane and jumps in the ring as Alfonso hands the titles to Parker. Douglas is yelling at Alfonso showing him the cane, but Alfonso isn’t listening. Douglas just snaps!!!! He throws Alfonso down and goes after Parker with the broken cane!!!! Parker runs away as fast as he can with the titles as a very angry Douglas just loses it in the ring!!!!!!

Missy Hyatt is backstage with Commisioner Dory Funk Jr. Dory says that he saw what happened in the last match and they are looking into it, Funk says that the referee’s decision is final, but a blind man can see that Parker stole the titles for his men. Dory says that he will announce something this Wednesday on WNW.

Styles shows a replay of Steamboat’s death defying dive and then Parker breaking the cane across Steamboat’s back. Styles says that he hopes Dory Funk Jr. orders an immediate rematch between these two teams.

Missy Hyatt is backstage with the man who will challenge Bret Hart for the NWA World Title in just a few short moments, Ted Dibiase. Dibiase talks about his career and what all he has done. Dibiase says the only thing he hasn’t done is win the World Title. Dibiase says he has shown he can beat Bret, that he is the better wrester and the better man and after tonight he will show he is the better Champion!!

Back in the arena Joey recaps again Dibiase’s pin fall victories over Bret. Styles says that many feel Bret cannot beat Dibiase and tonight the title will change hands.

Missy is now with the Champion Bret Hart. Bret says tonight he will prove the naysayers and the doubters wrong, tonight he puts his stamp on the NWA World Title and prove he is the Best there is, the Best there was and the Best there ever will be. He says that Dibiase is one of the best wrestlers in the world so it’s not going to be easy, but tonight Dibiase is going to be excellently executed and Bret will walk out with the NWA World title intact!!!!

Fundamental wrestling is the order of the day as the two men use their vast knowledge to trade holds back and forth. Neither man is able to truly grab an upper hand in the opening moments. Styles says this is pure wrestling at its best. The two continue to trade holds and reversals as we head to our first commercial break

Back from the break and all hell has broken loose!!!! Bret and Dibiase are no longer trying to out wrestle each other, now they are just trying to beat each other’s brains in!!!! The brawl spills to the outside of the ring and that’s where Bret gets the advantage after hitting Dibiase with a suicide dive through the ropes!!! Bret rolls Dibiase back into the ring and starts to work Dibiase over. Bret hits an inverted atomic drop and tries for a cover but only gets two, Bret attempts to hip toss Dibiase, but Dibiase blocks it and after several moments traps Bret in a backslide that only gets a two count. Bret and Dibiase then spend the next five minutes reversing pin attempts both getting several two counts and coming oh so close to taking the win, all the comes to an end when Dibiase catches Hart with the Oklahoma Stampede!!! Though Bret kicks out at two, he he winded and Dibiase presses the advantage. Dibiase traps Bret in an abdominal stretch as Styles sends us to a break

On the other side of the ring, Sabu is pulling Patriot up by his mask, Patriot fights Sabu off in a flurry of punches and then sends him crashing to the mat with a Full Nelson Slam!!!! Crash then pulls TNT to his feet and tries to eliminate him, but TNT fights back. Steamboat slowly limps to the ring, favoring his injured back. Styles says Steamboat probably shouldn’t even be coming out here!!! Styles says one of these five men will walk away with the International Championship. Polo sees the injured Steamboat and quickly jumps him, Polo starts pounding on Steamboat, Douglas whips HHH into Simmons for a Spinebuster and tries to attack Polo from behind, but when Douglas tries to spin Polo around, Polo is ready!!! Polo kicks Douglas in the gut and DDT’s him!!!!!! Polo launches Douglas over the top rope, Steamboat is still favoring him back and is unable to help his partner.

Polo then helps HHH with Ron Simmons. Simmons fights back, but even he can’t beat two men who are as hungry as HHH and Polo are!!! After several mintues of fighting, Polo and HHH toss Simmons out together. The two look like they make a pact to toss Steamboat and then fight each other. They shake hands, but HHH turns on Polo, kicking him in the gut and dropping him with the double underhook piledriver!!!!! HHH then turns his attention to Steamboat.


After working Steamboat over for several minutes he throws Steamboat over the top. HHH turns around to celebrate and doesn’t see Steamboat skinning the cat!!! Steamboat brings himself back in the ring, and waits for HHH to turn around!!! Steamboat unloads on HHH with a series of chops, backing him into the ropes. Steamboat then whips Hunter off and hits a deep armdrag followed by a dropkick that sends HHH stumbling backward into the corner!!!! Steamboat starts to unload with chops on Hunter in the corner!!!! Hunter starts fighting back with chops of his own!!!

Polo starts to come to, sees what is happening and drops back to the mat!!!!! Styles says that Polo is playing opossum letting HHH and Steamboat beat the hell out of each other!!!! HHH catches Steamboat with a flying knee and tries to throw him over again, but Steamboat once again tries to skin the cat!!! This time Hunter sees it and starts to bite Steamboat’s fingers to get him to let go of the ropes, Steamboat instead flips himself back into the ring and catches HHH with a head scissors that Steamboat uses to then bring Hunter up over the top rope and eliminates him!!!!!!


Steamboat tries to skin the cat back into the ring but Polo has jumped to his feet and runs at Steamboat. As Steamboat flips back into the ring Polo catches him unaware with a clothesline that sends Steamboat over the top rope and eliminates him!!!!!!!

JOHNNY POLO HAS WON THE CHI TOWN RUMBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Styles cannot believe it. The show goes off the air with Dory Funk Jr. handing Polo the International Title!!!!

Joey Styles and International Champion Johnny Polo open the show, Joey is still shocked that Johnny has the title. They are about to run down todays show when Ted Dibias’s music starts to play. Dibiase storms to the ring and he is pissed off. He says that he would have won the match at the Chi Town Rumble if not for Bret’s big toe. Dibiase says he keeps getting robbed of the title and demands a rematch. Bret Hart’s music hits and Bret storms to the ring, Bret says he is sick and tired of Dibiase of his whining, crying and complaining. Bret says if Dibiase wants a rematch he’ll give him one. Bret said he already talked to NWA Commisioner Dory Funk Jr. and next week here on WNW Bret and Dibiase will hook it up one more time!!!!!!


COMMERCIAL BREAK 8:12-8:15

We are shown footage of how the Bruise Brothers won the NWA World Tag Team Titles at the Chi Town Rumble, with a backstage interview with Shane Douglas who says that if Ricky Steamboat hadn’t signed the contract that gave the titles to the Bruise Brothers even if they won by DQ or count out, then he and Steamboat would still be Champions. Douglas says he hasn’t talked to Steamboat and doesn’t think he wants to. Steamboat is at home still suffering from injures from the cane shot by Col Parker at the Chi Town Rumble

Styles and Polo talk about what happened at the Chi Town Rumble between The Undertaker and Kevin Sullivan and Sullivan’s Army. Taker made the save for The Patriot earlier in the show, and then eliminated Sabu and Sullivan from the Rumble before eliminating himself with a plancha over the top onto Sabu and Sullivan.


SABU W/KEVIN SULLIVAN AND TAZMANIAC VS. BOB HOLLY


Sabu starts off fast, knocking Holly around the ring, controlling the early going. Holly surprises Sabu with a desperation dropkick that staggers the Madman from India. Holly then clotheslines Sabu out of the ring and takes the brawl to the floor, a double sledge from the ring apron to the floor. Holly makes a mistake and ends up getting backdropped by Sabu into the crowd!!! Sabu then suplexes Holly on the cold hard concrete floor, and continues the punishment by hitting an Asai Moonsault on Holly when he gets back to his feet. Sabu rolls Holly back into the ring and a slingshot legdrop gets Sabu a two count. After several minutes of punishment, Holly reaches deep down and finds something that lets him move out of the way when Sabu tries a heel kick in the corner, Holly moves and Sabu crashes. Holly then pulls everything he can out of his arsenal, and gets several two counts but can’t put Sabu away. All that comes to an end when Holly tries a cross body block off the top rope and Sabu catches him with a dropkick in midair!!!! An Arabian Facebuster later and Sabu has the 3 count

Sullivan and Taz then throw a table into the ring, Sabu sets it up and puts Holly on it, Sabu climbs the ropes and is about to leap off the top to put Holly through the table when THE LIGHTS GO OUT!!!!! When they come back on the Undertaker is standing in the ring and Holly is gone!!!! Undertaker grabs the surprised Sabu by the throat and chokeslams him off the top rope through the table!!!!!!! Sullivan and Taz jump into the ring as the lights go back out again and when they come back on, Taker is gone and Sabu is lying in what remains of the table!!!!!


COMMERCIAL BREAK 8:42-8:45: During the commercial break a commercial for World Wide Wrestling plays that hypes a Kid vs. Tommy Rich match, where Rich vows to do what Landel can’t, beat the Kid.

Ted Dibiase is backstage with Missy Hyatt, Dibiase says Hart played right into his hands, everyone knows Hart can’t beat Dibiase, and that Bret got lucky at the Chi Town Rumble. DIbiase says he has pinned Bret several times since the NWA relaunched and he will beat him again next week for the title.


Styles and Polo talk about how crazy the NWA Title picture is and about the Chi Town Rumble itself and Styles says that Polo is just lucky Sid showed up because if he hadn’t, Kevin Nash would probably have that title. They show clips of Nash tossing wrestler after wrestler out of the ring until he and Sid end up eliminating each other. As they are talking about this, Nash’s music starts to play. Nash makes his way down to the ring and says that he is tired of the NWA screwing him over, they screwed him over by not giving him his rematch after Starrcade and now they have screwed him over at the Chi Town Rumble. Nash says that Sid hasn’t been seen in the NWA since Starrcade, yet the NWA put him in the Rumble, even though he hadn’t won any matches to justify his placement in it. Nash says that he knows that they send Sid out when they did because they saw Nash was dominating that match and they didn’t want him to win the International Title, because the last thing they want is for Nash to get a shot at the NWA World Title, because they know he’ll take it. Nash says from now on he is going to have to look after himself because they have turned him into the ultimate Outsider. Nash says the wrestling world has been doing this to him and his friends for years and that they formed an alliance to help each other along the way, a brotherhood, a Wolfpack. Nash says that if he is going to go to War with the NWA, he is going to do it with his Pack. Nash then introduces his new manager, and tag team partner, the brains of the Wolfpack, Diamond Dallas Page!!!!!

Page comes out and hugs Nash. Page and Nash say that they will no longer do what they are told, they won’t stand around and wait to be handed scraps they are going to take what they want. Nash says that next week he’ll be watching the World Title match here on Wednesday Night Warriors and whomever wins better be ready because he is going to get right in their face. Nash says he hasn’t forgotten about Sid Vicious either and Sid is going to get what’s coming to him very soon

Sid says he is here in the NWA for one reason and one reason only, to become the World Champion! Sid says Nash is going to be watching the match next week, and so will he. Sid says that he has something to say to the winner of next weeks match as well, and if Nash gets in his way, he’ll take Nash out on his way to delivering the message!!!!!


HUNTER HEARST HELMSELY W/JJ DILLION VS. BARRY WINDHAM

The former NWA World Champion meets the man many think may be the future of the NWA. Hunter comes in ready for Windham, maybe Windham has lost a step in the past few years, maybe it just wasn’t his night or maybe Windham’s former manager Dillon gave HHH some unknown insight, whatever it was, Hunter pulled off what many are going to consider an upset when he pins Windham after a hard fought battle with a double underhook piledriver.

RON SIMMONS VS. BIG BUBBA ROGERS W/TED DIBIASE

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Dibiase came to the ring with Rogers, but no one seemed to be expecting it. Rogers and Simmons threw the rule book out the window for this one!! Referee Bill Alfonso might as well been mute because they didn’t listen to a thing he said. I wish I could give you a description of the wrestling holds used here, but there simply wasn’t any. These two big men just pounded the snot out of each other. Simmons Press Slammed the massive Rogers at one point, and Rogers did hit the Bubba Slam for a two count. Finally the two were brawling in t he corner and after both tossed referee Bill Alfonso away several times, Alfonso had enough and called for the bell disqualifying both men. That didn’t stop the brawl however and Dibiase slid into the ring to join in on the battle. It was two on one until NWA World Champion Bret Hart rushed to the ring!!! All hell was breaking loose as Sid and Nash both ran out and started fighting in the aisle way!!!! Referees, officials and wrestlers all tried to break up the different fights as we go off the air!!!

Joey Styles is at ringside and talks about the Chi Town Rumble and what happened on Wednesday Night. He hypes the NWA Title match on WNW next week!!! This week on World Wide, the International Champion Johnny Polo will be in action, Bart Gunn and Chris Adams continue their battle from the Chi Town Rumble and Tommy Rich meets The Kid in the main event!!!!

Missy Hyatt is backstage with The Kid, he says that he’s going to beat Tommy Rich today and then he is going to get his hands on Buddy Landel.

INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION JOHNNY POLO VS. PJ WALKER

Styles is still shocked that Polo won the title at the Chi Town Rumble. Polo and Walker have a quick wrestling sequence before Polo takes control. Once in the driver’s seat Polo never looks back and pins Walker after a DDT for the win.

Styles talks about the NWA World Tag Title situation, and what happened at the Chi Town Rumble. Douglas is still in a foul mood, and gives TNT a hell of a beating before pinning the masked man after a Belly to Belly Suplex.

Joey Styles talks about the Chi Town Rumble and how Bart Gunn and Chris Adams ended up in a bloody brawl with each other during the match, both men wanted a piece of each other after that match and they are going to get the chance right now!!!

BART GUNN VS. CHRIS ADAMS

These two pick up where they left off at the Rumble just going right at each other. Bart overpowers Adams and has him bouncing around the ring with suplexes and press slams. Bart gets a couple of two counts, but can’t seem to put Adams away. Adams surprise Bart with a sleeper hold out of nowhere after he ducks a running clothesline. Bart almost fades away, but fights back and breaks the hold by sending Adams into the ropes. Bart catches Adams and press slams him again. Adams tries to beg off on his knees, Bart tries to press the advantage but Adams thumbs Bart in the eye!!! Adams then rips Bart’s eyes, spring back and then launches forward with a superkick that connects with a loud smack on Bart’s chin!!!! Adams makes the cover, and while Bart tries to kick out, Adams grabs a handful of jeans that keeps Bart down for the count!!!!

WINNER: CHRIS ADAMS

Bart’s brother Billy is out quickly as he slides in the ring and grabs referee Pee Wee Moore. Billy is saying Adams had a handful of tights, Moore is saying he didn’t see it, Adams tries to catch Billy with a superkick, but Billy moves at the last second!!! Billy then unloads with punches at Adams until Adams drops to the mat and rolls out of the ring. Billy is yelling at Adams to get back in the ring and the Englishman makes his getaway.

THE KID VS. TOMMY RICH W/COL ROBERT PARKER

The Kid starts fast out the gates hitting Rich with lightning fast kicks!!! The Kid has full control of the match and is using his speed to beat Rich around the ring until Rich grabs onto the top rope to stop himself from rebounding while the Kid is trying for a dropkick, the Kid crashes to the mat and quickly grabs his head. Rich now takes his time beating, and kicking on The Kid. Buddy Landel has made his way down to the ring to get a closer look, Rich is yelling at Landel telling him “THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT!”.

Landel just shakes his head as Rich hits a delay suplex, Rich floats over and makes a non chalant cover that only gets a two count. Rich complains to referee Bill Alfonso about the count. Rich tries to pull The Kid to his feet, but the Kid fights Rich off, The Kid tries to run to the ropes but Rich grabs The Kid by the hair and yanks him down onto the mat!!! Alfonso warns Rich as he pushes The Kid into the corner. Rich unloads with punches and kicks and then tries to whip the Kid across the ring to the opposite corner, but instead of crashing in the corner The Kid scales the turnbuckles and then launches himself off with a moonsault that surprises everyone!!!! The Kid hangs on after the moonsault and gets the 1-2-3!!!!! The Kid quickly escapes the ring as Rich sits in shock and Landel gets a good laugh!!!!
