Big Bubba: Last week I took care of Ron Simmons, this week it’s The Smoking Gunns that are going to be serving HARD TIME!!!

Mike Rotunda: We showed what we can do together last week, and now with Simmons out of the way, we are going after the World Tag Team Championships, and Smoking Gunns you are the first victims in our way!!!

Bart: We may have come up short at Starcade, but our daddy always taught us that when we get kicked off the horse we climb right back on it!! And tonight we are going to do just that when we face Big Bubba Rogers and Mike Rotunda!!

Billy: That’s right, and Rotunda, Rogers we saw what you did to Ron Simmons last week, and let me tell you, Ron ain’t done with either of you. But if you two think you are going be able to use a briefcase or a nightstick to steal a victory here tonight, well you got another thing coming. Tonight, you two GET SHOT DOWN, by the Smoking Gunns!!!!

Joey Styles is seated at Ringside and welcomes everyone to Wednesday Night Warriors! Styles says we have a jam packed show here tonight, not only will we see The Smoking Gunns take on Big Bubba Rogers and Mike Rotunda but the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart will be here, so will the two men who want shots at his title, the man he beat at Starcade Kevin Nash and the man who beat Bret at Starcade and ruined Bret’s celebration in the locker room Ted Dibiase!!! Plus we will hear from The Undertaker’s manager Paul Bearer on the condition of The Undertaker and when we will expect to see him again after taking a fireball to the face from Kevin Sullivan at Starcade!!! All this plus news on THE CHI TOWN RUMBLE!!!!! Ram Jam’s Black Betty starts to blast signaling that The Bruise Brothers are on their way to the ring!!!!!

THE BRUISE BROTHERS WITH COL. ROBERT PARKER

The Bruise Brothers get right back to what they were doing before Starcade as they slide into the ring and attack Dreamer and Ace!!!! Dreamer gets launched out of the ring as Ace gets whipped into the ropes and Eli powerslams him while Jacob follows up with a running knee drop!!!! Dreamer tries to get back into the ring but Eli blast him in the face with a big boot as Jacob makes the cover on Ace to get the 1-2-3!!!!

Col Parker has joined Joey Styles at ringside, and Parker is not a happy man. Parker says that his Bruise Brothers were screwed out of the NWA World Tag Titles by Shane Douglas. Styles takes issue with that, saying that it was Parker who brought the Brass Knux into the ring to begin with and tried to hit Shane with them!!! Parker says that doesn’t pertain to the issue, and that issue is Shane used the Knux to knock out Jacob because he knew that they couldn’t win the titles on their own!!! Parker says he used to think Ricky Steamboat was an honorable man, a man of his word that you could trust, but he doesn’t think so anymore. Parker says Steamboat said they would face anyone, but where is their title shot?? Parker demands that The Bruise Brothers be awarded their rightful rematch. Styles then asks about Tommy Rich, and says Rich’s open challenge at Starcade didn’t go so well for him. Parker says that Sid Vicious had no business accepting that challenge, he isn’t even signed to wrestle in the NWA!!! Parker says that if Sid shows his face again, Rich will rearrange it!!!!! Styles sends us to the back and Missy Hyatt who is with Ron Simmons


Missy asks Ron Simmons about last week and his match with Big Bubba Rogers. Simmons says he had the match against Rogers won when Mike Rotunda stuck his nose into the match. Simmons says now Rotunda is on his list. Simmons says nothing is over and it won’t be over till Rogers and Rotunda are gone, or he is!!!!!

Walker is a promising young wrestler, but Hunter is everything that Dillon promised he would be. Walker gets some offense in, but this is all Hunter who puts Walker away with a German Suplex and bridge.

Joey Styles says that Hunter is living up to all that James J Dillon promised so far, but he wonders how Hunter will fair against guys like Bret Hart and Ted Dibiase? Speaking of Ted Dibiase, he is with Missy Hyatt!


Missy asks Ted Dibiase WHY he interrupted Bret Hart during Bret’s backstage celebration. Dibiase says he simply let Bret know how things stand. Dibiase says he is the rightful NWA World Heavyweight Champion and anyone with a brain knows it!!! Dibiase says that he wants his World Title Shot, and he wants it ASAP. Missy asks Dibiase about Kevin Nash who wants a rematch for the title. Dibiase says that Nash was lucky to even be in the Title match to begin with. Dibiase says Nash got his shot and couldn’t take the title, now he should move to the back of the line with everyone else!!!!!

Joey Styles is standing in the middle of the ring, and asks the fans to welcome his guest at this time, he is the NWA World Heavyweight Champion BRET “THE HITMAN” HART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bret comes out to the ring to a thunderous ovation. Bret poses in the ring with the title some before joining Joey. Joey congratulates Bret on winning the NWA Title at Starcade and asks him about what happened after the show ended and Ted Dibiase interrupted the celebration. Bret says it didn’t surprise him one bit that Dibiase pulled that stunt, and Bret says Dibiase is right, he did beat Bret in the tournament and he did beat at Starcade. Bret says he isn’t scared of anyone and will defend the title against anyone, anytime, anywhere. Bret says all Dibiase has to do is put his name on the dotted line. Bret implores Dory Funk Jr. to make the match for tomorrow, next week or when ever because he is ready and willing to face Ted Dibiase. Before Bret can say anything else, Run DMC’s Down With The King plays, bringing out Kevin Nash!!!!

Nash walks to the ring with purpose, climbs over the top rope and makes a beeline for Hart. Bret drops the World Title and takes off his jacket, ready to fight if that’s what it comes to. Nash says he isn’t here to fight…….yet. Nash says that Bret knows he got lucky at Starcade and that Nash beat Hart worse than Hart has ever been beaten in his life. Nash says that he is the only one that deserves a title match, and he is demanding it. Bret says Nash is right he did give Bret the worst beating he has ever had in a wrestling ring, but Bret took everything Nash could dish out and still walked out the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Bret said if Nash wants a rematch, he can have it. Bret isn’t backing down from anyone and says to get the contract and he’ll sign it. Nash says that Bret better keep the belt warm, because very soon it’s going to be around Nash’s waist!!!! Nash leaves the ring and Joey Styles sends us to a commercial break to try and ease the tension!!!!

Missy Hyatt is backstage with Dory Funk Jr. Dory says he has heard from Bret, Nash and Dibiase. He says Bret is eager to wrestle both men and promises a decision will be made next week as to when Bret will be defending the title and whom he will be defending the title against!

BIG BUBBA ROGERS AND MIKE ROTUNDA

THE SMOKING GUNNS

The beginning of the match is under control, neither team really is able to swing control in their favor. Tempers soon begin to flare and that’s when all hell breaks loose. Fighting is everywhere all over the ring and all around the ring. Referee Bill Alfonso is straining to try and restore some sort of order. Billy and Rogers are laying into each other heavily on the outside of the ring, Alfonso tries to break them up and it gives Mike Rotunda an opening. Rotunda grabs the briefcase and is about to bash Bart’s brains in when RON SIMMONS rushes from the locker room into the ring and football tackles Rotunda!!!!! Simmons is laying into Rotunda and Alfonso calls for the bell DQing The Smoking Gunns for Simmons’ interference. Rogers pulls Rotunda out of the ring and they retreat to the back while Billy and Bart try and calm Simmons down.

WINNERS: MIKE ROTUNDA AND BIG BUBBA ROGERS BY DQ @12:30

Joey says while they are trying to restore order, Missy Hyatt is with Paul Bearer. Missy asks Bearer about the Undertaker and Bearer promises the Undertaker will return when we least expect it. Missy asks Bearer why Sullivan would attack Undertaker and Bearer has no idea, Sullivan is not aligned with Nash, so it makes no sense why Sullivan would do such a thing. Bearer says he is sure we will get answers when Sullivan returns, that it unless the Patriot puts Sullivan down before he can speak!!!


Styles says to join us next week when Dory Funk Jr. promises to have some news as to who the #1 contender to the NWA World Heavyweight Title is. The Kid will be in action, we will talk with NWA World Tag Team Champions Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas about what Col Robert Parker said this week and in our featured match, Bret Hart will be in non title action against former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Tommy Rich!!!!!

Joey Styles welcomes everyone to another edition of Wednesday Night Warriors!!! Tonight, Bret Hart will be in non title action! Also tonight Dory Funk Jr. has promised that the #1 contender for the NWA World Title will be revealed. The Kid will meet the challenge of the veteran “Nature Boy” Buddy Landell who is making his first appearance on Wednesday Night Warriors! Plus we will talk to the NWA World Tag Team Champions Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas about what Col Robert Parker said last week. All this and so much more!!!! Joey Styles then shows us a replay of what happened last week during the main event. Joey says that Dory Funk Jr. has ordered that next week on WNW, The Smoking Gunns will face Mike Rotunda and Big Bubba Rogers again, and if Ron Simmons gets into the ring to upset the match, he will be suspended without pay for 30 days!!!!

THE PATRIOT

PAT TANAKA

This is the first time we have seen the Patriot since his partner Tatanka was viciously attacked by Kevin Sullivan at Starcade. Pat Tanaka has been all over the wrestling landscape, and was once considered one of the best technical wrestlers in the game, but those days are past and The Patriot is in a foul mood. An angry Patriot puts Tanaka away with a Full Nelson Slam.

WINNER: THE PATRIOT @6:02

The Patriot joins Joey Styles at ringside. The masked man says he was brought into the NWA by Tatanka to help battle Kevin Sullivan and Sullivan’s crew. Patriot said he expected things to be violent with Sullivan involved, but he had no idea that it would get this bad. Patriot says that we will never see Tatanka in the NWA again, he may wrestle elsewhere, but he will never be the same, what Sullivan did to him has changed Tatanka forever. The Patriot says that he isn’t going anywhere though, and says that Sullivan will pay for what he has done, not only to Tatanka but to The Undertaker as well. The Patriot vows to continue the fight with Sullivan. Joey Styles says next week Kevin Sullivan’s suspension will be over, and we will find out why Sullivan did what he did at Starcade.

Missy Hyatt is backstage with Kevin Nash. Missy says that tonight Dory Funk Jr, will announce the #1 contender to NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart’s title. Nash says that it isn’t much of a decision for Funk, Nash says the only person who should get the match is him. He took Hart to the limit at Starcade and he deserves his rematch. He tells Ted Dibiase not to worry though, after he destroys Bret and takes his title, he’ll be happy to put Dibiase out as well!

Back in the area, The Kid’s music is play and Buddy Landell is waiting in the ring. As The Kid high fives the ringside fans Joey Styles puts over Landell’s accomplishments.

THE KID
VS.
BUDDY LANDEL

Landel, much to Styles surprise, offers a handshake to The Kid after the bell rings. Styles says maybe Landel isn’t the same egotistical jerk he used to be. Landel and The Kid go right at it in a fast paced match up. During a running sequence The Kid hits a frankenstiener that sends Landel spilling out of the ring to the floor. The Kid then hits an awaiting Landel with a Pescado!!!! The Kid rolls Landel back into the ring, but a slingshot leg drop only gets a two count. The Kid pulls Landel to his feet and whips him into the ropes, leapfrogs Landel, but is then caught by a running jumping knee by Landel!!! Landel then goes to work on The Kid with several suplexs that leads to a belly to back suplex that Landel bridges for a two count. Landel backs The Kid into the corner and fires off forearms at the Kid and the tries to whip him into the opposite corner, but The kid reverses it and follows Landel in with a leaping splash, and then a bulldog out of the corner!!!! A cover by The Kid gets a two count!!! The Kid hits a front slam on Landel then climbs the ropes, launches himself off the top and hits a Frog Splash!!!! The Kid makes a cover, and Landel kicks out at 2 and 7/8ths!!!!!! The Kid whips Landel into the ropes and tries for a hurricanrana, but Landel turns it into a sitout powerbomb that gets a two count!!!!! Landel then goes to work on The Kid’s leg before locking on the figure four leg lock!!!! The Kid is screaming in pain and Landel is cranking the hold tighter when the bell rings!?!?!?

Landel jumps to his feet and raises his arms in the air in victory, but is quickly upset when it is announced that the match has gone to a 10 minute time limit draw!!! The Kid limps to over to Landel and offers a handshake. Landel takes it and Styles says it looks like the older Landel is more mature, more of a sportsm-----LANDEL KICKS THE KID IN THE NUTS!!!!! Styles says he knew it, he knew Landel was still a dirty no good jackass. Landel quickly reapplies the Figure Four Leglock on The Kid and uses the ropes for extra leverage!!!! Landel finally releases the hold and poses in the ring as Joey Styles sends us to a commercial break

Joey Styles says that The Kid had to be helped to the locker room, and he knew Landel was still a scum bag. Joey then sends us to the back and to Missy Hyatt who is with The Smokign Gunns and Ron Simmons!!!


Billy and Bart are not upset with Ron about what happened last week, they are actually thankful because if Rotunda had used that briefcase it may have put the Gunns on the shelf for a while. Simmons says he is going to dog Rotunda and Rogers until they are gone. The Gunns talk about the match next week and Ron says he won’t get in the ring, but he is damn sure not going to let Rotunda or Rogers get away with anything either!!!

Missy then send it back to Joey, who says next up, the NWA World Tag Team Champions Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas will be in non title action, and after the match he will have a word with them.

NON TITLE MATCH:

NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS RICKY STEAMBOAT & SHANE DOUGLAS

VS.


JOHNNY ACE & D’LO BROWN

Styles brings up the history between Ace and Douglas when the two chose to start for their teams. They put together a pretty good wrestling sequence, trading holds and counters on the mat. Douglas and Ace find themselves at a stalemate, and tag out to their respective partners. D’Lo is a promising rookie, but against the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ricky Steamboat, he is totally out of his class. D’lo puts up his best effort, but Steamboat just has his way with the young man. Twisting him into pretzels and bouncing him around the ring with arm drags, dropkicks, head scissors and suplexes. The finish has Steamboat tagging out to Douglas who hits a belly to belly suplex on D’Lo for the win.

WINNERS:NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS RICKY STEAMBOAT & SHANE DOUGLAS

Styles then leaves the broadcast table to speak with Shane and Ricky at ringside. Styles brings up what Parker said here last week about facing his men for the World Tag Titles. Steamboat says they are not hiding. Douglas says that they would happily face The Bruise Brothers here next week, but they are going to be in Japan for the next 10 days and will not be here next week. Steamboat then shocks Douglas by saying while they won’t be here next week, they will be here in two weeks and if the Bruise Brothers want it, they’ll put the NWA World Tag Team Titles on the line against them, right here on WNW in Two Weeks!!! Douglas is not happy about this and it’s written all over his face!!!! Steamboat says they will be defending the title in a series of matches against Japan’s best teams, and while they don’t touch down until a few hours before WNW airs, they won’t back down from The Bruise Brothers. Steamboat says in two weeks they will prove they are the best tag team in the World today!!!!! Steamboat and Douglas leave and Douglas is pissed. Styles says in two weeks, the NWA World Title will be on the line right here on WNW!!!!!

Missy Hyatt is backstage with Ted Dibiase who is watching the monitors. Dibiase says he wants to keep a close eye on tonight’s match. Dibiase says he knows that Dory will make the right choice, while Nash may be a monster and he isn’t undefeated and Dibiase is. Ted says he holds two pin fall victories over Bret and that is all the information Dory needs to make his decision.

NON TITLE MATCH:

NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION TED DIBIASE

VS.

TOMMY RICH WITH COL. ROBERT PARKER

Styles gives Rich his due, a decade ago he was one of the best wrestlers in the world. People were falling over themselves to get him in the ring for their shows, he had defeated Harley Race for the NWA World Title, and could claim to be one of the greatest in the world. Those days are long gone however and Styles says that while Rich is still one of the best brawlers in wrestling, his day as one of the top guys in the world is over, he just hasn’t excepted it yet. Styles says though, not to count Rich out as he still has a punchers chance, can take a beating and has that bastard Col Robert Parker on the outside of the ring!!!

Rich tries to jump Bret as the Champion takes his jacket off and hands it to the ring girl. He beats on Bret an little and whips him into the ropes, but Bret ducks a clothesline and then hits Rich with a Hart Attack Clothesline!!!! Rich pulls himself up by the ropes and Bret hits a running dropkick that sends Rich over the top to the floor below!!! Bret poses for the fans while Rich has a fit on the outside of the ring!!! During this time, NWA Commissioner Dory Funk Jr. joins Joey Styles at the commentary table.

After having a brief conference with Parker, Rich climbs back into the ring. Rich offers a handshake, and Bret shows he isn’t a moron when he accepts the handshake and thows a punch before Rich can!!! Rich gets bounced around the ring a little more as Bret his a Side Russian Leg sweep, back breaker and bulldog. Bret is about to put Rich away when Parker jumps on the ring apron. Bret goes over and punches Parker in the mush, knocking Parker off the ring apron. However that brief aside gives Rich enough time to gather himself and he catches Bret bu surprise with a clothesline that flattens the champion.


Rich bites, kicks and chokes Bret on the mat, he rubs Bret’s face into the canvas and uses every dirty trick in the book before throwing Bret out of the ring through the ropes/ Rich distracts referee Bill Alfonso long enough for Parker to get some kicks of his own in on Bret on the floor!!!! Parker rolls Bret back into the ring. Rich hits the ropes and drops a leg drop across Bret’s chest. Rich then gets up, hits a muscle pose and cups his ear to hear the crowd!!!! Styles says Rich needs to get that crap out of here. Rich makes a cover but only gets a two count!!! Rich whips Bret into the ropes and hits a Thesz Press!!!! Styles says that’s the move Rich used to win the NWA Title over a decade ago, but that only gets a two count.


You would think Rich press his advantage, and maybe the old Rich would have, but today’s Tommy Rich decided instead to bad mouth the crowd. He yelled down to Styles “watch what a do to this boy right here!!!!” and Styles answered back telling Rich to stop talking and do it. Styles says if talking smack was an Olympic sport Rich would be unbeatable. Rich goes to pull Bret up , but Bret shocks Rich with an inside cradle!!!! Rich kicks out at two and tries to rush Bret but gets hip tossed!!!! Rich jumps up and kicks Bret in the gut!!!!!!Rich hits a gut wrench suplex and says that’s it!!!! Rich point to the sky and Styles wonders what the hell Rich is doing??? Rich starts to, slowly, very slowly, climb the turnbuckle!!!! Styles says Rich hasn’t been on the top rope since Carter was president!!!!

Rich is perched on the top rope and talking smack, as Bret jumps to his feet and rushes to the corner!!! Bret starts throwing punches at Rich and knocks “Wildfire” down to a sitting position on the top turnbuckle!!! Bret then cclimbs the ropes himself and hits Rich with a Superplex!!! Bret floats over and gets the three count for the victory!!!!!

WINNER:NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BRET HART

Dory Funk Jr. and Joey Styles climb into the ring as Rich and Parker leave. Dory congratulates Bret on his win, Bret thanks him and asks Dory who the #1 contender is. Dory says that shows how much of a fighting Champion Bret is. Dory says that they have looked at all the angles and after much arguing the NWA Championship Committee has declared Ted Dibiase as the #1 contender to the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Dory says that Ted Dibiase will get his title shot, live on MTV, February 20th at The Chi Town Rumble!!!!!!! Joey Styles then closes the show and invites us back next week when Mike Rotunda and Big Bubba Rogers will face The Smoking Gunns in a rematch from last week and Kevin Sullivan will return!!!!!

Ron Simmons destroys Kato and pins him after a back breaking Spinebuster. Styles once again hypes the Gunns-Rotunda/Rogers match and repeats that if Simmons gets involved he will be suspended!!!!

Styles replays Dory Funk Jr.’s announcement from Wednesday Night. He says after Dory announced Dibiase as the #1 ccontender, Missy Hyatt tried to get a word with the man who wasn’t chosen, Kevin Nash.

Missy is in front of Kevin Nash’s locker room door, she says that Dory just made his announcement and she is hoping to get a word with Nash, she knocks on the door and enters the room, but Nash is going crazy, throwing stuff and destroying the room. A flying chair just misses the Camera crew, which is their cue to get the hell out of there. Missy states the obvious, Nash is pretty upset about these turns of events.

Styles says he hopes they will get a word with Nash this week on WNW.


Hunter Hearst Helmsley with James J. Dillon defeats ”Flyboy” Rocco Rock after The Flyboy catches Hunter’s knees to the gut when he tried a top rope splash. Hunter then forced Rocco to submit to a Texas Cloverleaf.


Styles says that is the tenth submission move he has seen Hunter use to get a victory here in the NWA.

After the match TNT and Crash start shoving each other until Crash lays TNT out with a clothesline!!!! Crash then press slams TNT, climbs the ropes and hits a Moonsault on his now former partner!!!!! Styles closes the show and tell us not to miss WNW!!!!!

Tonight we will talk to both Ted Dibiase and NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart about their title match at Slamboree!!!! Plus the man who was snubbed for the title shot, Kevin Nash will be in action and as anyone who saw NWA World Wide this weekend can tell you, Nash is not in a good mood, plus tonight we’ll………………………..Styles is suddenly speechless and exclaims “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE???”



The camera pans out to show JOHNNY POLO standing in front of Joey!!!!


Polo says he is here for 3 reasons, 1 is to escape from the world of garbage he was trapped in. Polo says he has come to the NWA to prove he is more than just a manager, he is one of the best wrestlers in the World today, and the NWA is the only place that let’s wrestlers prove themselves and not force people to accept who a steroid freak in the front office wants you to, or who can play the Canadian Meat Flute the best!!!

Polo that brings him to reason #2, to prove that Polo is entering the Chi Town Rumble!!!! Polo says he is going to show the world at The Rumble that he is above managing a couple of fake Mounties.


Styles asks what the third reason is and Polo says it’s to provide some intellectual honesty to the program, because he has sat at home listening to Joey Styles ramble on and on and on and bore the public to death and infecting them with his orally transmitted disease. Styles says he got tested last week and he’s clean before sending it to the ring for our first match!!!!

Styles says the Public Enemy were lighting up the Indy scene before joining the NWA and Polo says the Indy scene isn’t the only thing they have been lighting up!!! Sabu and The Tazmaniac have been on the shelf waiting for Sullivan to get reinstated and they are looking to tear into anyone they can!!!! This match turns into a complete brawl with all four men in the ring with each other several times and fighting all over the floor. The finish comes when Flyboy Rocco Rock misses a moonsault on Sabu, and Sabu answers with a Moonsault of his own for the win!

Joey goes over what Sullivan did at Starcade from attacking Tatanka with a Golden Spike after their match so badly that it made Tatanka turn tail and run away from the NWA, to throwing a FIREBALL at The Undertaker which led to the Undertaker getting beat by Kevin Nash!!!. Sullivan says that he did what he did for one reason, all of it was to show The Undertaker that he should join him!!!!!!! Styles is confused and Sullivan explains that what he did to Tatanka was to show The Undertaker that he has no bounderies, that he will do whatever he has to to remove his enemies from the board, and what he did to The Undertaker was to show him that Paul Bearer is ineffective. Sullivan says The Undertaker was once one of the most feared men in the world, and now he is a light show!!! Sullivan tells Paul Bearer to release the Undertaker to him. Sullivan says if Bearer does he will lead Taker straight to the NWA World Title and make the world fear him again!!! Styles sends us to a commercial break.

Styles talks about how Missy Hyatt tried to get a word with Nash last week after Ted Dibiase was named #1 contender to the title, but she was run out of the room as Nash destroyed it. Styles says Nash is in a foul mood, and he wouldn’t want to be Johnny Ace. Polo asks when would ANYONE want to be Johnny Ace?

Nash climbs into the ring, goes straight to Ace, kicks him in the gut and JackKnifes him!!!!! Nash rips Ace up and JackKnifes him again!!!!!!! Nash puts one foot on Ace’s chest and pins him for the 1-2-3!!!!! Nash then pulls Ace up and PRESS SLAMS HIM OUT OF THE RING TO THE CONCRETE FLOOR!!!!! Nash then calls for a microphone!! Nash says that he is going to do what he did to Ace to 19 other men at the Chi Town Rumble on Februray 20th, because he’s entering it RIGHT NOW!!! Nash says that he doesn’t really care about The NWA International Championship, but when he learned that the Champion was the automatic #1 contender to the NWA World Title he signed up, because he wants Bret Hart’s title, and he won’t stop until he gets it!!!!!!

Styles says it looks like Polo has some stiff competition in Nash at the Rumble, Polo stammers a little and then says we should see who er, what Missy Hyatt is doing. Styles sends us to the back and Missy Hyatt who is with Col Robert Parker and The Bruise Brothers.

Missy thanks Joey, and tell Polo to get a life. Hyatt asks Parker about his teams match next week for the NWA World Tag Team Titles against Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas, if they return from their trip to Japan with the titles intact. Parker says that the Bruise Brothers should be the ones on that tour, they had Douglas and Steamboat beat at Starcade until Douglas his Jacob with the Brass Knux. Missy tries to once again point out that Parker is the one that brought the Knux into the ring, but Parker blows her off and says next week The Bruise Brothers will prove they are the best team in the world!!!

Back from the break and Buddy Landel is making his way to the ring, and Joey talks about what Landel did last week while a split screen shows Landel attacking The Kid after their match. Styles says that The Kid will return to action this weekend on NWA World Wide and says to check your local listings to make sure you catch the program!! Styles says that Landel also wants the NWA World Title and has entered the Chi Town Rumble, Polo says that’s too bad for Landel.

Landel offers Sandman a handshake, but then pulls away and runs his hand through his hair, he smirks at The Sandman, but the wanna be surfer isn’t too happy about that and blasts Landel with a punch to the face that knocks Landel on the mat!!! Landel tries to jump up and fight back, but Sandman’s a helluva brawler and gets the upper hand!!! Landel ends up eating a series of clotheslines, hip toses and a backdrop before trying to beg off in the corner!!! Sandman isn’t letting up and backs Landel in and starts unloading with punches before whipping him into the opposite corner!!! Sandman charges Landel but Landel gets his feet up and Sandman runs right into a boot to the mush!!! Landel then tries to go to work, and after hitting a hanging vertical suplex floats over for the cover, but only gets a two count. Landel argues a bit with referee Bill Alfonso, giving Sandman the chance to roll Landel up for a two count, Sandman then catches Landel with an inside cradle for a two count, and then a backslide for a two count!!! Styles says that the Sandman may find a way to get his first win here!!!! Sandman then hits a running powerslam on Landel and makes the cover, but Landel shoots a shoulder up at 2 3/4ths!!!!! Sandman punches Landel a couple times and starts to climb the ropes!!! Styles says Sandman is going for broke, and Polo says the Sandman is a moron for doing this!!! Sandman jumps off the top rope with a Leg Drop that MISSES!!!!!! Sandman is clutching his left knee as Landel gathers himself and quickly locks on the Figure Four!!!! Sandman tries to fight it, but finally gives up the ghost.

Dibiase says that the World Title has alluded him his entire career, but that will all change at The Chi Town Rumble when he finally raises the World Title above his head and proves once and for all, he I s the best wrestler to ever grace the squared circle!!!!

Styles says that Dreamer has been getting closer and closer to getting a win each week, Polo is strangely quiet before admitting he knows Dreamer very well, and has known him for a very, very long time. Tanaka breaks out his karate and oriental nerve holds, trying to put Dreamer away. Styles puts over Tanaka’s in ring accomplishments. It’s a fairly even back and forth match, but Dreamer finally gets to put one in the win column by beating Tanaka with a DDT!!!

Joey says the worm may have indeed turned for Dreamer here in the NWA and Polo makes fun of Styles for using the cliché and asks if Styles is going to start calling suplexs soo fleys??? Styles ignores Polo and sends us to the back and Missy Hyatt who is with NWA World Champion Bret Hart!


Missy says that everyone seems to be coming after the NWA World Title. Not only does Bret have to face Ted Dibiase at the Chi Town Rumble, but wrestlers like Kevin Nash, Buddy Landel, and the undefeated rookieHunter Hearst Helmsley are all lining up to get a shot at the belt. Bret says he’ll take them all on, if they want to battle the Excellence of Execution, then they need to just step into the ring with him and find out why he is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. Hart says as far as Ted Dibiase goes, he has been telling everyone that will listen that he has pinned Bret twice. Bret says Dibiase may have done that, but Bret says that if Dibiase thinks he is just going to roll over and give Dibiase the belt then he has another thing coming. Bret says that at The Chi Town Rumble he is going to take it right at Dibiase and he is going to prove once and for all that he is the best wrestler in the world.

VTR: WNW 1/5/94 Rogers/Rotunda vs. Smoking Gunns JIP: Billy and Rogers are laying into each other heavily on the outside of the ring, Alfonso tries to break them up and it gives Mike Rotunda an opening. Rotunda grabs the briefcase and is about to bash Bart’s brains in when RON SIMMONS rushes from the locker room into the ring and football tackles Rotunda!!!!! Simmons is laying into Rotunda and Alfonso calls for the bell DQing The Smoking Gunns for Simmons’ interference. Rogers pulls Rotunda out of the ring and they retreat to the back while Billy and Bart try and calm Simmons down.

WINNERS: MIKE ROTUNDA AND BIG BUBBA ROGERS BY DQ @12:30


Styles and Polo talk about the finish to that match and how Simmons cannot enter the ring to interfere here tonight or he will be suspended. Styles says we heard from Rogers and Rotunda at the top of the program, and they actually WANT Simmons to interfere so that he gets suspended!!! Polo says of course they do, why should they put forth the energy to get rid of Simmons when they can use the system to do it for them? Polo says that it works for the crackhead welfare mommas, so why shouldn’t two fine citizens like Rotunda and Rogers use the system to their benefit? Styles cannot believe Polo said that. Styles and Polo are then surprised by Ron Simmons, who has decided to join them for commentary. Polo doesn’t like this one bit and Styles reminds Simmons he cannot get in the ring, Simmons says he won’t.

THE SMOKING GUNNS

VS.

BIG BUBBA ROGERS AND MIKE ROTUNDA

Rotunda and Rogers place the nightstick and the briefcase in their corner but referee Bill Alfonso removes them and puts them at the time keepers table. Rotunda and Bart start the match off, and they pick up where they left off two weeks ago. Things start off pretty even, but after Bart leapfrogs a Rotunda backdrop attempt, he levels Rotunda with a running clothesline!!! The Smoking Gunns don’t let up as they start bouncing Rotunda around the ring and using quick tags and tandem offense to keep Rotunda scrambling. The Gunns hit a double drop kick and Bart quickly makes a cover, but Rogers breaks it up!!! Billy jumps into the ring and all four men are brawling in the ring.

Rotunda low blows Bart and tosses him out of the ring, through the ropes. Rotunda follows him out, as referee Bill Alfonso is busy dealing with Billy and Rogers11 Rotunda goes over to the time keeper and tries to get his briefcase!!!! Bob Artese refuses to give the briefcase up, and Rotunda SLAPS HIM!!!! Simmons tosses down his headset and rushes over to Rotunda!!! Simmons yanks the briefcase out of Rotunda hand. Rotunda shoves Simmons and Ron clobbers him with the briefcase!!

Polo is yelling Simmons has to be suspended!!!! Bart rolls Rotunda back into the ring as Alfonso has finally gotten control of the match!!! Rogers goes over to Simmons and tries to take a swing at him, but Simmons decks Rogers with the briefcase!!!! In the ring, Bart tags out to Billy and they hit Rotunda with the Sidewinder!!!!! Billy makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3!!!!!!

WINNER:THE SMOKING GUNNS

Polo is demanding that the Gunns be DQed and that Simmons be suspended!!! Styles closes the show, saying next week he will speak with Paul Bearer, and the NWA World Tag Titles will be on the line in a Starcade rematch!!!! Polo is still protesting as the show goes off the air!!!

The Kid admits that it is still a little sore, he then says that he isn’t going to let Landel get away with what he did. The Kid says he is trying to get a match with Landel, but Landel keeps claiming to already signed for other matches. The Kid says if he can’t have Landel one on one in the ring, then he’ll get him in The Chi Town Rumble live on MTV on February 20th!!!! Joey talks about the NWA World Tag Team Titles and how Col Parker has been demanding that The Bruise Brothers were cheated out of the belts when Shane Douglas used the Brass Knux Parker tried to use on Douglas to knock out one of the Bruise Brothers to get the pinfall!! Styles says that Ricky Steamboat wasn’t happy about how his team won that match and so has agreed to face The Bruise Brothers on Wednesday Night Warriors!!

The Bruise Brothers with Col. Robert Parker storm the ring and destroy their opponents PJ Walker and Brian Lee. Lee at least is able to fight back with one of the twins. Walker just gets killed by a clothesline and press slam by the other one. The two twins then double team Lee and after a double boot sends him out of the ring they return their attention to Walker, and after a double press slam pin him for the victory.


Styles says that Steamboat and Douglas are still in Japan, and will be returning from Japan on Wednesday morning, they are going to have to go straight from the airport to the arena to defend the titles. Styles says that would be difficult against any opponent, but against The Bruise Brothers, it may be damn near impossible!!!

Joey replays what happened last week when TNT and Crash The Terminator battled The Armstrong Brothers, Crash missed a moonsault and was pinned to drop the match for his team. TNT was none to happy about it and shoved his partner. Crash took out TNT with a clothesline, and then put an exclamation point on it when he hit a 350 pound moonsault on his now former partner!!!!


TNT defeated Crash The Terminator after Crash misses a Moonsault and TNT nails him with a savate kick!!!!


Styles says that Crash’s name fits him, and he has the tools that could one day lead him to the top, but he can’t seem to put it all together yet. Styles says not to miss this weeks WNW when the NWA World Tag Titles will be on the line, plus we will get more information on the Chi Town Rumble!!!!

Shane Douglas No stinking team in Japan could take these straps from us, and they did everything they could to do it, what makes you two inbreed mountain boys think you got a chance??? They go over what we are going to see tonight, including the World Tag Title match, which Polo is sure will result in new World Tag Team Champions. They talk about last weeks main event and Polo is irate that Dory Funk Jr. did not suspend Ron Simmons Joey points out that Dory ruled because Ron did not actually enter the ring, he did not break the agreement that was made. Polo says that Mike Rotunda has something to say about that and will speak his mind here tonight. Also tonight, the two men who will face at The Chi Town Rumble, Ted Dibiase and NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart will be here. All this and Joey will talk with Paul Bearer about what Kevin Sullivan had to say last week!!!!! Now let’s go to the ring for our first match, as Buddy Landel will be in action!!!

Polo says that is ridiculous and that Landel already showed that The Kid isn’t in his class, so why should he waste his time wrestling him? Styles says both men will be taking part in the Chi Town Rumble. Polo says that it’s just too bad for them that he is going to be winning the Rumble. In the ring, Walker actually has Landel bouncing around the ring for several minutes and after a Superkick sends Landel spiraling, he ducks out of the ring and tries to call for a time out. Walker doesn’t like that, pushes referee Pee Wee Moore aside and hits a slingshot plancha on Landel!!!! Walker rolls Landel back in the ring and makes a cover that only gets a two count! Walker is getting all worked up and it costs him as he tries to hit Landel with a flying splash off the top, but Landel gets his knees up!!! Landel then cradles Walker for the three count.

WINNER: BUDDY LANDEL

Styles says that Landel is the luckiest wrestler he has ever seen. He doesn’t ever dominate anyone, he just hangs on long enough for his opponents to screw up. Polo says that’s what makes Landel so good. Styles says when we return Missy Hyatt will have a word with Mike Rotunda!

Missy is indeed backstage with Mike Rotunda when we return from the break. Missy shows a brief clip from last weeks program of Ron Simmons taking the briefcase away from Rotunda and bashing him with it. Rotunda is angry that Dory didn’t suspended Simmons and is looking into suing the NWA as a result. Rotunda is so angry that he challenges Simmons to meet him in the ring, one on one next week where he promises to put Simmons down one and for all.

BIG BUBBA ROGERS

It’s a battle of the big men as Crash and Rogers meet here on WNW!!! Styles mentions Crash’s problems with his former partner TNT and how Crash seems to take too many risks, espccally for a man his size. Rogers and Crash tear each other apart, brawling in the ring and outside of it. Crash actually has Rogers reeling after Rogers misses a splash in the corner!!! Crash hits a massive vertical suplex and drops his straps then heads for the turnbuckles!!! Polo asks why Crash dropped his straps, this ain’t Memphis!!! Crash launches himself off with a moonsault that connects!!!! Styles says this is going to be a massive upset!! Crash covers, but only gets a two count as Rogers gets his foot under the bottom rope!!!! Crash can’t believe it, he pulls Rogers to his feet and tries to whip him into the ropes, but Rogers reverses it and hits a Bubba Slam out of nowhere!!! Rogers covers Crash and gets the three count!!!! Polo says that’s what makes Rogers so dangerous, the Bubba Slam can come out of anywhere and beat anyone!!!!

Styles sends us to the back and to Missy Hyatt who is with Ron Simmons. Missy repeats Mike Rotunda’s challenge for a match here next week and Simmons accepts without hesitation. Simmons says he is going to take care of Rotunda ad then he is coming for Big Bubba!!!!

Joey Styles is standing in the middle of the ring and invites out his guest, the manager of The Undertaker. Paul Bearer. Bearer comes out and joins Styles. Joey first wants to show everyone a replay of what Sullivan had to say last week:

Joey is standing in the ring with Kevin Sullivan, Sabu and The Tazmaniac. Joey goes over what Sullivan did at Starcade from attacking Tatanka with a Golden Spike after their match so badly that it made Tatanka turn tail and run away from the NWA, to throwing a FIREBALL at The Undertaker which led to the Undertaker getting beat by Kevin Nash!!!. Sullivan says that he did what he did for one reason, all of it was to show The Undertaker that he should join him!!!!!!! Styles is confused and Sullivan explains that what he did to Tatanka was to show The Undertaker that he has no bounderies, that he will do whatever he has to to remove his enemies from the board, and what he did to The Undertaker was to show him that Paul Bearer is ineffective. Sullivan says The Undertaker was once one of the most feared men in the world, and now he is a light show!!! Sullivan tells Paul Bearer to release the Undertaker to him. Sullivan says if Bearer does he will lead Taker straight to the NWA World Title and make the world fear him again!!!


Styles asks Bearer for his response, but before Bearer can answer Kevin Sullivan’s music begins to play and out he comes. Sullivan climbs into the ring and swears he means no harm and is not here to attack Bearer or Styles. Sullivan says he wants to make his offer in person. He tells Bearer that he can join him too. Sullivan says he knows what dark forces lurk within Paul Bearer as well and Sullivan says that if they work together no one can stop them. Sullivan says that Bearer knows this to be true. Sullivan says he will give Paul 3 weeks to decide what to do. He tells Paul to make the right choice, because if he doesn’t, Sullivan promises to destroy both of them!!!

Styles and Polo discuss what just happened and Polo says that Sullivan is creepy, but he is right. Bearer and Undertaker have lost a step, and only Sullivan can give it back to them. Styles wonders what is going through Paul Bearer’s mind right now. Styles then sends us to the back and Missy Hyatt who is with Ted Dibiase

Missy and Dibiase discuss Ted’s match with Bret Hart at The Chi Town Rumble Dibiase says Bret spouts off all these catch phrases and claims to be the best in the world. Dibiase starts listing off wrestlers he has beaten, everyone from Junkyard Dog, to Hulk Hogan, to The Freebirds, to Ric Flair to Randy Savage all men who claimed to be the best and all men that Ted Dibiase put down for the count, just like he has done twice before to Bret Hart here in the NWA. Dibiase says at Chi Town Rumble, three times will be the charm and he will become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion and finally fulfill his destirny.

Nash just destroys Tanaka, much like he did last week to Johnny Ace, after a kick to the gut and a Jackknife Powerbomb, Nash launches Tanaka out of the ring over the top rope and wins the match by count out!

WINNER: KEVIN NASH

Nash grabs a microphone and calls Tanaka another victim to the NWA’s poor decision making. Nash says he is going to launch 19 people out of the ring, and some may end up in the front row!!! Nash says that he doesn’t care who wins the title match at Chi Town Rumble, whether it is Bret or whether it is Dibiase, whoever wins the belt is only keeping it warm for him. Styles throws it to the back to Missy Hyatt who is with NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart!

Missy says she has seen first hand how dangerous Nash can be, and Bret says so has he, but he took the best shot Nash had and still beat the big man. Bret says Dibiase keeps talking about his destiny, well Bret says he has a destiny as well and that’s to be the best there ever will be in the wrestling ring. Bret gives Dibiase credit, he comes from a wrestling family just like Bret, Bret says Dibiase has beaten everyone who has been put in front of him, including Bret, but the one thing Dibiase hasn’t done is won a World Title. Bret says nothing else matter but holding the belt, it means you are the best in the world. Bret says we’ll see if Dibiase has what it takes to be that on February 20th, live on MTV, at the Chi Town Rumble!!!!

Styles and Polo once again go over what has happened between the two teams that will be facing each other for the NWA Tag Title in a few short minutes. The bullet points:
- The Bruise Brothers have torn a path of destruction through the NWA since the relaunch
- Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas survived a war with Sabu and The Tazmaniac to advance to the finals vs The Bruise Brothers at Starcade, even though Steamboat was injured.
- The match was back and forth until Col Parker tried to hit Shane Douglas with a pair of Brass Knux
- Shane blocked it and used the Knux on one of the Bruise Brothers to get the win
- Shane then lied to Steamboat about how he won the match.
- Steamboat found out the truth and gave the Bruise Brothers a rematch, after much protesting from Shane
- The Bruise Brothers are well rested, while Douglas and Steamboat have literally just gotten off the plane from defending the titles in Japan against the top ten teams there

The match does not start out as a usual Bruise Brothers match would, instead of the Bruise Brothers going straight for the kill, they actually start out a little slow. Polo says Parker is changing the game plan here to throw off Steamboat and Douglas, and it seems to work! Between the jet lag, the soreness of wrestling the top 10 Japanese contenders 10 nights in a row, and the confusion of the Bruise Brothers changing their styles, Steamboat and Douglas are thrown off rhythm. The Champions do get their shots in, but soon The Bruise Brothers have Steamboat trapped in the ring and are working him over. Every time Steamboat is about to make a comeback, Parker distracts referee Bill Alfonso , the twins make an illegal switch and they put a stop to Steamboat’s comeback. A few times Douglas tries to jump in the ring, and while Alfonso backs him out they twins hit a double team move or make a switch.

Steamboat is getting destroyed and Douglas is going insane. It seems only a matter of moments before Steamboat is pinned when the two once again pull a switch. Douglas has had enough and when the twin in the ring locks Steamboat into a bearhug, Douglas grabs a chair, jumps in the ring and blasts the Bruise Brother in the back with it!!!! Douglas lays both Bruise Brothers and Col Parker out with the chair!!!!! Styles says that Douglas saw all he could take and finally snapped!!!! Douglas is standing over Steamboat holding the chair, daring anyone to come in the ring and try and attack!!!

WINNERS: THE BRUISE BROTHERS, BY DQ. RICKY STEAMBOAT AND SHANE DOUGLAS RETAIN THE NWA WORLD TAG TITLES

Polo says that the titles should be given to The Bruise Brothers!!!! Styles says the title doesn’t change hands on a dq or count out. Styles mentions that on World Wide this weekend, Polo will be making his in ring debut and Polo says that is true and he will show everyone what wrestling promotions have been afraid to let loose. Styles says next week on WNW, Mike Rotunda and Ron Simmons will meet in the ring, plus NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart will be in non title action!!!!

Tommy Dreamer defeats Buddy Landel by DQ when Landel gets upset that he cannot put Dreamer away and kicks him in the balls right in front of referee Pee Wee Moore!!!! Landel then locks in the figure four leg lock, and would have done some serious damage had The Kid not run out and made the save. Landel retreated as soon as he saw the Kid. Styles says pretty soon The Kid is going to be able to get his hands on Landel and when that happens, all bets are off.
Styles shows a promo video for Bret Hart and Ted Dibiase’s Championship Match at the Chi Town Rumble. Joey says that on February 20th live on MTV the wrestling world may not only see a new Champion crowned, but the best Championship Match of all time.

The Patriot defeats Tommy Rich with Col Robert Parker after hitting Rich with the Full Nelson Slam. A decent back and forth brawl, Rich may have had better luck if he hadn’t spent so much time running his mouth to the crowd.In the end all of his taunting gave The Patriot the opening he needed to catch Rich with a flying shoulder tackle to knock Rich loopy and cause him to stagger into the Full Nelson Slam.


Styles thanks us for watching and says to make sure to tune in next week when Hunter Hearst Helmsely will meet his toughest challenge to date when he faces The Kid!!!!
