MLW “Big League TV”
EPISODE # 1
Taped: 4-15-1994
Air Date: 4-23-1994
PROGRAM START
VTR: MAJOR LEAGUE WRESTLING OPENING VIDEO
A video montage of some of the top stars in MLW set to “Who Was In My Room Last Night” by the Butthole Surfers...
GX: The Convention Center – Atlantic City, NJ
*The debut episode of “Big League TV” opens with Jay Sulli & Dennis Coralluzzo welcoming the fans from the ring and letting them know that Major League Wrestling is 'the place to be' because not only would they be seeing some of the 'most recognizable faces' and 'biggest names' from the world of professional wrestling, but also because MLW would be working hard to bring it's fans a 'major league' level of competition and excitement...
As the two announcers began talking about tonight's big main event they were interrupted by one of the participants, a well dressed Don Muraco, who said that as he understood it, 'the Superfly' hadn't even made it to the arena so he was 'very doubtful' as to whether or not the match was going to take place or not. In fact, Muraco said 'on second thought' that he was CERTAIN the match wasn't going to happen because he knew that Snuka was still 'ducking him' after all of these years because of what he had done to Snuka the last time they met in the cage. Sulli seemed to remember a different picture as he recalled Snuka's 'Superfly Leap' from the top of the cage, but Muraco quickly reminded the announcer that it was he that had won the match on that night and that's all that mattered. Muraco then reiterated that he was so certain that 'the Superfly' wasn't going to be here that he wasn't even going to change out of his beautiful new pinstripe suit when it came time for the main event. Muraco then excused himself by saying that he had some 'Family Business' to tend to...
As the program went to break, Sulli and Coralluzzo wondered what Muraco had meant by 'Family Business' as, to their knowledge, none of Muraco's family had traveled with him to the matches from Hawaii.

The program returned with Don Muraco once again in the ring, sporting his new suit and appearing very confident that he was on his way to an easy forfeit victory...
JAY SULLI: “Ladies and Gentlmen, in the ring at this time... From Sunset Beach, Hawaii... Weighing 275 pounds... 'The Magnificent'... Don.Mu...”
Muraco has interrupted the ring announcer...
DON MURACO: “Let's go ahead and get this over with... Time is money and I ain't got all day!”
The Superfly's music hits and Muraco looks stunned...
JAY SULLI: “And his opponent... From the Isle of Fiji... Weighing 253 pounds...”
Nobody comes out so Sulli tries again, but again gets the same result... No 'Superfly'...
DON MURACO: (Now laughing...) “See there I told ya' so... Now I don't want any of you to ever doubt me again! Let's get a ref out here to raise my hand...”
Suddenly, a wrestler emerges from the back, but it's not 'Superfly'. Instead it's a sort of tall, dark complected kid. The kid, in gear and prepared to fight, gets into the ring, talks briefly with Sulli off microphone and Jay then hands him the stick but before the kid can speak he is cut off by Muraco...
DON MURACO: “ Now just who on earth are you supposed to be, kid? Don't you know who I am?”
KID: “Oh, I know you all too well Mr. Muraco. In fact, I can't recall a time that MY FATHER has ever had anything nice to say about you... “
DON MURACO: “Wait just a minute? What are you tellin' me? You're Superfly's kid?”
KID: “That's exactly what I'm saying and I'm out here to let you and the fans know that I just talked to 'the Superfly' and that he will be here, but he's had some travel problems and is delayed. I had traveled ahead, but...”
Muraco cuts off Superfly's kid...
DON MURACO: “So your meaning to tell me that Snuka's not here? Why kid, I knew your old man was a coward, but I had no idea that he'd send his own boy to do a job made for a MAN...”
KID: “My dad's no coward and he'll prove it just as soon as he gets here! But, in the meantime, I'm ready for action so how's about it!?!?!”
Muraco smurks and walks over and tries to put his arm around the kid and reason with him, but the youngster angrily pushes him away...
DON MURACO: “Listen kid, I appreciate the offer... But, how should I put this... It is an offer that I CAN and WILL refuse... You see kid... You're a SMALL FISH.... And where I come from.... It's the SMALL FISH you throw back... Now swim along little fishy and go to the back, have a seat, SUCK ON YOUR THUMB and WAIT ON YOUR DADDY!”
Muraco turned his attention away from the kid and showed off his suit but as he turned back around he was met with a big right hand by the youngster, who then followed up with several more! By this time a referee had made it into the ring and he had signaled for the bell! The Superfly's kid is taking the fight to the Magnificent One!

MATCH #2: DON MURACO vs. JIMMY SNUKA JR.
The kid ripped Muraco's shirt, but Don was somehow able to get his jacket off and use it to choke out the kid! It was clear the referee was going to have a hard time controlling this one from the outset. Muraco went to send the youngster into the corner, but Junior revered the whip and met Muraco with a big back body drop that had Muraco momentarily begging off. A quick thumb to the eye got then got things in Muraco's favor and from there it was all Don with the kid only mounting a brief comeback before getting caught with the reverse piledriver. Muraco refused to pin the youngster by yanking Jimmy Jr. up by the hair at the count of two. Muraco then continued to administer punishment to the youngster in order to prove just who was 'in charge' here in the AWF. Referees Jim Molineaux and Dennis Stamp attempted to get Muraco to halt his attack, but Don instead shoved them away, causing the referee to reverse the decision. A disheveled Muraco then set Jimmy Jr. up for a second tombstone, but instead decided to simply drop the youngster to the canvas in disgust and walk away. The Magnificent One has proven a point here tonight and one has to wonder what will happen once 'the Superfly' what has taken place..
RESULT: JIMMY SNUKA JR. BY DISQUALIFICATION (3:21)

Major League Wrestling went to break with officials tending to the youngster as Muraco again warned Snuka by saying 'that's what happens when you send a BOY to do a MAN's job'...

Major League Wrestling returned with some video of King Kong Bundy in action squashing opponents with his 'Human Avalanche'. The footage was followed up with some pretaped comments from Bundy about coming to Major League Wrestling and what it was like to be returning to his home town of Atlantic City. Bundy said it was good to be home, but added that if there was one thing he hated about Atlantic City it was the people, especially the tourists. He said that was one thing he wasn't looking forward too and that he was sure he would be in a bad mood by the time he got around to squaring off with Vic Steamboat inside the squared circle...

MLW returned from break with Sulli and Coralluzzo announcing that since 'Superfly' Snuka had yet to make it into the arena they were going to a standby match. Action then went up to the ring where the Honky Tonk Man had already grabbed a microphone...
HONKY TONK MAN: “Thank you.... Thank you... You're a lovely audience... Now I know you all came to see the Honky Tonk Man dance and sang and I don't wanna' let my public down so just as soon as I get done with my match here I plan on givin' you fine people an ENCORE! Major League Wrestling returned with a frustrated Honky Tonk Man standing in the aisle way with a microphone...
HONKY TONK MAN: “Now wait just a minute! I wasn't ready! Why the opening bell didn't even ring! I want a re-do...”
After a few moments, senior official Jim Molineux comes out and conferences with referee Dennis Stamp. It appears as though the opening bell did not sound and Honky does have a legitimate argument. So it looks like we are going to do this again!

MATCH #3: THE HONKY TONK MAN vs. 'THE WARRIOR'
Honky was 'ready' this time and it appeared as though the painted 'Warrior' had wore himself out in their first meeting so this contest was almost all Honky Tonk Man until Honky went for the 'Shake, Rattle & Roll'. At that time, 'the Warrior' reached up and grabbed the top rope let Honky's momentum cause him to go crashing down to the canvas. 'The Warrior' was feeling it now and was beginning to get his second wind. He was now shaking the ropes as HTM got back to his feed and began pounding 'the Warrior' across the back, but to little effect. The manic Warrior was now doing a 'war dance' around the ring as Honky continued to be ineffective. Big right hand by Honky, no it was blocked! 'The Warrior' is now firing back with some big right hands. Now a whip into the ropes... A big clothesline... AND ANOTHER! Now 'the Warrior's got him up by the hair... BIG FLYING SHOULDER TACKLE! Honky has been knocked from the ring. He's saying he's had enough... He's walking to the back... The referee's counting... This one's over folks....
RESULT: 'THE WARRIOR' BY COUNTOUT (5:43)
Major League Wrestling went to break with 'the Warrior' having his hand raised in victory for the count out, but he didn't seem to like the decision and quickly left the ring to follow after Honky Tonk Man...

Sulli and Coralluzzo closed the program by quickly recapping what happened on today's episode and reminding the fans that the would be back next week with more great 'Major League Action' as the fan would be seeing former collegiate standout and Olympic alternate Dan 'the Beast' Severnin action... From there it will be the man from the 'Land of the Rising Sun' Osamu Nishimura and in the big main event... King Kong Bundy makes his MLW debut against veteran Vic Steamboat. Plus, we hope to hear from 'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka after what we saw here a little bit earlier today... Wait... Wait a minute! Here's the Superfly now!
A wild eyed Snuka rushes down the aisle, hits the ring and stalks around it as he looks for Muraco. The Superfly is almost animal-like as he exits the ring and stalks around the ringside area saying 'Where is he! Where's Muraco!' Snuka then rushes over to the announce area and almost knocks over Dennis Coralluzzo in the process as he yanks the microphone away from Jay Sulli and screams into it... 'MURACO.... YOU GONNA' PAY, BRUDDA!!!' as the program went off the air...
