04/06/94 - Viking Hall Philadelphia, PAOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to Eastern Championship Wrestling; live with you tonight from Viking Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I'm Gene Okerlund and with me is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo at ringside. Welcome Lanny.
Poffo: Thank you Gene. Good to be here.
Okerlund: In tonight's Main Event, we're scheduled to see the Eastern Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage back in action for the first time since his infamous cage match with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson.
Poffo: One would have to think this is a lucky break for Mongo Vyle here tonight Gene. The "Machiavellan Mauler" is a big, tough competitor and Savage is likely still not on the top of his game. We may be looking at an upset here tonight.
Okerlund: Certainly Lanny. A win for Vyle over Savage would make him the number on contender here at Eastern Championship. It would definitely be a big stepping stone for the young grappler from Hell's Kitchen, New York.McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Parts Unknown, weighing in at 230 lbs.; he is the"Masked Man of Mystery" simply known as Dangerous.
Poffo: I think I have a cousin from Parts Unknown Gene.
Okerlund: Really?
Poffo: Yeah. I think his name was Loser Poffo.
McGillicutty: And his opponent this evening hailing from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada at 282 lbs.; he is Canada's Greatest Athlete; "Iron" Mike Sharpe.Match: Dangerous vs. Mike Sharpe S.D. Jones refs as Dangerous and Iron Mike Sharpe lock up. Sharpe almost immediately breaks free and takes Dangerous down hard with a clothesline; which gets him a two count. Lifting his opponent to his feet, Iron Mike begins beating on the masked man before nailing him with a suplex. Going for the cover, Dangerous once again kicks out at two. Picking him up again, this time Dangerous surprises Mike with a sudden burst of energy as he slaps him away and begins punching him. As Sharpe staggers back, Dangerous runs back and uses the ropes for momentum as he takes Iron Mike down with a a hurrcancanrana. Back on his feet, Dangerous nails Sharpe with an elbow drop before looking for a sprinboard moonsault which Sharpe counters with an elbow to the back of his masked opponent. Dangerous falls to his knees as Mike Sharpe gets back up and hammers Dangerous in the head before lifting him up into the air to slam him with a backbreaker over his knee; which puts him away for three.Okerlund: Certainly an impressive win for Mike Sharpe before the break Lanny.
Poffo: Indeed. Don't think we'll be hearing from Dangerous for a while Gene. Though his chiropractor in Parts Unknown might be. "Rockin' Robin" by Bobby Day sounds.
McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Charlotte, North Carolina at 145 lbs.; Rockin' Robin.
Rockin' Robin enters the ring with Danny Davis and turning toward the announcing table blows Lanny Poffo a kiss.
Okerlund: I'd say someone's sweet on you.
Poffo: Who wouldn't be Gene.
McGillicutty: And her opponent tonight accompanied by The Lady Alexandra; frm Atlanta, Georgia weighing 140 lbs.; Luna Vachon.
Luna storms down the ramp bitching at Alexandra before leaping up onto the apron and stepping into the ring.Match: Rockin' Robin vs. Luna Vachon Rockin' Robin locks up with Luna Vachon as Davis starts the match. Robin is overpowers, but manages to take Vachon down with a snapmare. Running across the ring into the ropes she comes back and connects with a dropkick to the face of the now seated Luna. Going for the cover she gets a one count before Luna powers out hard. Back on their feet the two women go punch for punch in the middle of the ring, Luna clearly having the advantage until she whips Robin across the ring and takes her down with a big boot to the stomach. Going for the pin she gets a two count. Beating Robin first on the floor, Luna lifts Robin up to her feet and continues the assault before lifting her into the air; holding her there for several moments before slamming her to the floor. Rockin' Robin is obviously out, but Luna Vachon picks her up and beats on her some more before connecting with a DDT for the win. As Eastern Championship Wrestling returns; The Kaientai Theme sounds and Mr. Fuji appears on the ramp alone.
Okerlund: What's Mr. Fuji doing out here? He's not scheduled to appear tonight.
Poffo: Nor are The Orient Express Gene. But perhaps he's interested in our next Match, which is for the Tag-Team number one contendership. Either way I guess we'll find out soon as he's on his way over here.
Mr. Fuji walks over to the broadcast table and stands beside Gene, before rapping him on the shoulder with his cane.Okerlund: What the?!
Fuji: Move insolent American dog. Very rude not to offer seat to such an honorable, venerated guest; such as Mr. Fuji.
Poffo: Well he does have a point Gene. Welcome Mr. Fuji. Fuji takes Gene's seat at the broadcast table.
Fuji: Thank you Lanny. It is rare to find American with manners such as yours.
Okerlund: Unbelievable.
Poffo: Excuse Gene. Typical uncultured American. What brings you down to ringside Mr. Fuji? I dare not hope you're replacing Gene here.
Fuji: No. Not because Bischoff has not tried. But Mr. Fuji is busy man and command very high salary. Okerlund works cheap. Drives Japanese commentating wage down.
Poffo: See that Gene? You're costing me money. Okerlund: Shut it Lanny.
Fuji: Uncouth Okerlund. No manners. Should show more respect for the honorable Poffo.
Poffo: Yeah Gene. Respect the "honorable" Poffo.
Okerlund: Whatever. Look Fuji. Just what in the hell are you doing here?
Fuji: Simple Gene. Surprising some of The Genius hasn't rubbed off on you. Mr. Fuji is here on a mission. A mission to scout competition. Two unhonorable American teams her in the ring tonight. The Killer Bees and Team Redneck. Winner of which will face my Tag-Team Champions; New Orient Express for the Gold. Gold they will not win. An annoying buzzing is soon heard as Jim Brunzell and B. Brian Blair appear on the ramp.
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team Match is scheduled for one fall and is to determine the number one contenders for the Easter Tag-Team Championships. On their way to the ring weighing a combing 457 lbs.; they are The Killer Bees; "Jumping" Jim Brunzell and B. Brian Blair.
As the Bees enter the ring with Teddy Long, "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen plays. Dick Murdoch appears waving his cowboy hat with the Junk Yard Dog who rattles his chain and barks at the crowd.
McGillicutty: And their opponents weighing in at a combined 557 lbs.; they are the team of Deep South; The Junk Yard Dog and "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch.Tag-Team Match: The Killer Bees vs. Deep South Dick Murdoch and B. Brian Blair start off the match and after the initial lockup, begin trading punches and chops in the center of the ring. Blair then whips Murdoch across the ring before catching him around the neck with a sleeper hold. Murdoch is unable to free himself and begins to fade a bit before hitting Brian in the face with a back elbow, followed by a snapmare. With Blair grounded, Murdoch jumps up and lands a double legdrop before going for the cover; which is broken up by Jim Brunzell at two. Junk Yard Dog angered by this gets inside as well and begins hammering on Jumping Jim; whom he knocks over the ropes and out of the ring. Meanwhile Dick has been hammering on Blair and is soon joins by JYD who helps him whip The Killer Bee into the ropes before hitting him with a double flapjack. Soon after The Dog is sent to his corner by Long while Murdoch powerbombs Blair and goes for another pin, which Brian kicks out of at two. Brian attempts to crawl to his corner, but is stopped when Murdoch grabs his foot. After several attempts to pull himself free, Blair flips around and kicks Murdoch in the face. Leaping toward his partner, he tags Jim Brunzell in. Jumping Jim is on fire as he begins punching and then clotheslines Murdoch to the floor, before lifting him up and whipping him into the ropes for a dropkick. Going for the cover, he gets a two before the pin attempt is stopped by a diving elbow from Junkyard. JYD stomps on Brunzell for a bit before returning to his corner, which gives Dick the breathing room he needs to make it to his corner and tage Junkyard Dog in. The Dog immediately begins hammering on Brunzell, whom he stuns with headbutt. Lifting his opponent into the air, he nails him hard for a spinebuster and goes for the pin. Brunzell barely kicks out before the three as Dog lifts him to his feet and hammers on his head and back. Pushing him back in desperation, when JYD charges back at him, Jim trips him up with a drop toe hold that sends him into the ropes. The Dog gets tangled up in the top ropes and Jumping Jim takes full advantage as he begins beating on his opponent. Telling Brunzell to back off, Long helps JYD out of the ropes, but Brunzell is right there to connect with a dropkick that sends The Dog down hard. Tagging B. Brian Blair back in, the two men set up and nail Junkyard with a double suplex. Blair then goes up top and hits a guillotine legdrop on The Dog and going for the pin, picks up the victory.Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentlemen; and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling; right here as always on our home channel of TNN The Nashville Network. Just before we went to commercial, we witnessed The Killer Bees defeat Deep South in a number one contender's match for the Tag-Team Championship.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. And we got word during the break that that Championship Match between The Killer Bees and The New Orient Express will take place two weeks from today.
Okerlund: I'm sure the "honorable" Lanny Poffo will be rooting for his buddy Mr. Fuji.
Poffo: Aw. Don't be sore Gene. Maybe I'll let you rub off on me later.
Okerlund: I'd rather wipe my ass with a porcupine.
Poffo: Ouch.
Rick Rude's strip them plays as Rick Rude emerges from the back and swaggers down to the ring.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring first from Robbinsdale, Minnesota at 251 lbs.; he is "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude.
Rick Rude steps into the ring and takes the microphone from Beulah.Rude: Thanks Beulah. And I'd thank each and everyone of you Cheeseteak eating slobs in the audience tonight if you could keep it down for a minute while I'm talking. Now cut the music. So let's cut to the chase. I know what it is all you ladies here tonight, and all you ladies at home came here to see. But my question is; which of you Philadelphia Fillies are gonna come up here into this ring and help me with my robe? Is it gonna be you? Or how about you? I'm sure your husband won't mind. You... get on up here.
A pretty Asian woman is helped out of the crowd and into the ring by security. She looks stunned to be in the ring with rude.
Rude: Now I'm not going to act like I care what your name is; but it's obvious you've travelled all the way from The Orient to get a look at the sexiest man alive. So if you will; my robe...
The girl removes Rick's robe and as usual he sweeps her off her feet and into his arms; kissing her deeply. Suddenly however he thrusts her away from him and clutches his head.
Rude: What the hell was that?
The Asian woman smiles and is holding a lock of Rude's hair as voodoo music hits and the arena gets dark. Mist fills the arena and the lights go out momentarily. When they return on Papa Shango is standing in the middle of the ring next to Brickhouse Brown. The woman is obviously Manami Toyota.Shango: What the hell Rick Rude? What the Hell is exactly what it is. For in the ring with you now stands the most powerful, the most destructive of The Dark Lord's minions. Papa Shango. And now from this night, and every night forward Rick Rude; Papa Shango owns you. Controls your actions. Hears your thoughts. You think you possess as certain mojo Rick Rude? A certain thrall over the women in this very arena? Well now The Soulstealer has your soul. And you belong heart an soul to... The Dark Circle. Mwahahahaha.
With this, Papa Shango pulls a Rick Rude action figure from under his coat and taking the lock of Rude's hair, wraps it around the doll.
Rude: Ooh, eeh, ooh, ah, ah, ting, tang, walla, walla, bing, bang. You see Papa... Shango. That's all I'm hearing from your peculair, porcine lips whenever you're going on with that voodoo rigamorale. Cause I'm gonna tell you something right now Shango. I don't believe it. Don't believe in the Tooth Fairy either. Y'see when I look at you all I'm seeing is a big out of shape nobody trying to scare. Trying to spook the timid. The superstitious. Well; I've got news for you Shango. The man you're looking at? Rick Rude. He's neither.
Shango makes a menacing motion at Rude; but Rude doesn't flinch. Instead he decks Papa Shango who falls backward into the ropes knocking his hat off.Match: Rick Rude vs. Brickhouse Brown Angered by this Brickhouse Brown leaps as Rick Rude and begins hammering on him. Referee S.D. Jones orders a fuming, bloddy-lipped Papa Shango out of the ring and he flips out of the ring over the top rope. When he does the same to Manami Toyota she vanishes in a flash of smoke and in her place is a raven which soars over and onto the shoulder of Shango. Meanwhile Rude has been whipped across the ring and receives a back elbow from Brown; who immediately whips him again and nails a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on The Ravishing One. Going for the cover he gets a two count. Back on his feet Brown begins hammering Rick's head and shoulder as Rude begins fighting back; finally getting to his feet. The two men begin brawling around the ring and in the corner Rude takes Brickhouse by the head and slams it into the turnbuckle. Brown stumbles backward in a daze as Ravishing Rick climbs up top and connects with a flying crossbody which gets him a two count. Lifted up by Rude, Brown fights out and takes him down with a clothesline before lifting him to a seated position and locking in a rear chinlock. Rick struggles in the hold for a while before grabbing his opponent by the wrists and flipping him over and down to the mat. Back on his feet Rick hits first a kneedrop and then a fist drop on Brown whom he lifts and sets up for The Rude Awakening. He turns just in time to see Papa Shango has reentered the ring and kicks the big man in the gut before hitting the move. Climbing onto Brown rude goes for the pin; but only gets a two count when Shango begins beating on him and S.D. Jones calls for the bell disqualifying Brown. Rude is down on the ground as Shango begins putting the boots to him and Brickhouse Brown is soon back up on his feet joining in. S.D. Jones however soon steps in and grabbing Brickhouse's shoulder, hits him in the face with a hard right. Just then Rob Van Dam and Chris Jericho run down the ramp with steel chairs and with Jones they clear the ring of The Black Circle before Rob checks on Rude. He seems to be alright.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans to Eastern Championship. Just before the break we witnessed Papa Shango up to his usual shenanigans, interfering in a Match between his charge Brickhouse Brown and "Ravishing" Rick Rude.
Poffo: I don't think charge is the correct word in this instance Gene. Whatever Shango did to Brown a few weeks ago; he's seemed more like a slave to Shango. He moves like some sort of zombie.
Okerlund: You're not actually suggesting we're dealing with the undead here are you Lanny?
Poffo: Of course not Gene. He's obviously drugged Brickhouse Brown though. I've known the man for a while now and he's never been like this.
Okerlund: I'll be the first to agree with you there. Just Brickhouse Brown associating with these Dark Circle characters seems very out of character to me. And just what was the deal with Toyota stealing Rude's hair?
Poffo: Not totally sure. But I can tell you this Gene. It can't be good.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first making his way to the ring from Sea Isle City, New Jersey at 245 lbs.; he is Steve Corino.
Okerlund: Steve Corino, recently signed here at Eastern Championship has a tough first hurdle tonight in Buck Zumoff.
Poffo: I give Zumhoff alot of grief Gene. But as he proved in his Match against Chris Jericho; he is one hell of a competitor when that bell rings.
Okerlund: It was nice to see that kid shut up.
Poffo: Tell us how you really feel Gene.
McGillicutty: And his opponent this evening from Hamburg, Minnesota weiging in at 220 lbs.; he is "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff.
"Rock You Like A Hurricane" by The Scorpions blairs as Zumhoff appears on the ramp with his boombox in hand and dances his way down to the ring.Match: Steve Corino vs. Buck Zumhoff Davis starts the match as Steve Corino locks up with Buck Zumhoff. The Rock 'N Roller immediately captures the young grappler in a front headlock and knees him in the gut before whipping him across the ring. On the rebound Zumhoff hits a hiptoss on Corino and follows it up with an elbow drop and a cover for two. Lifting Steve to his feet, Corino smacks his way free and begins trading shots with Buck who delivers a sidewalk slam to Corino. Lifting him back to his feet, Buck runs Corino into the corner to ram his head into the turnbuckle, but Corino stops himself on the ropes and after a back elbow grabs Zumhoff by the head and runs up the turnbuckle; leaping around for a bulldog. Going for the pin, Corino gets a one count before Buck kicks out and getting to his feet Buck takes Corino back down to the mat with a jumping lariat. Rolling his opponent over, Buck Zumhoff locks in the Camel Clutch and after some resistance from Steve Corino gets the win via Submission."Hot Stuff" by Donna Summers is playing as Debbie Combs appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: On her way to the ring from Fort Campbell, Kentucky weighing 130 lbs.; she is "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs. Combs hops her way down the ramp and into the ring with Teddy Long as Velvet McIntyre's intro starts.
McGillicutty: And her opponent from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada wieghing 150 lbs. Velvet McIntyre.Match: Debbie Combs vs. Velvet McIntyre Debbie Combs and Velvet McIntyre lock up at the start of the match before Combs circles around her opponent and traps McIntyre in a hammerlock. Velvet battles out and takes Combs down with a hiptos before landing a short dropkick to Debbie's face planting her to the mat. Going for the cover she gets a two count before Combs reverses the pin and gets a two of her own from her surprised opponent. Back up on the feet the two women begins brawling before Combs kicks McIntyre in the gut and beats on her head before grabbing her by the hair and throwing her across the ring. Waiting for her opponent to rise, Combs hit her with a Lou Thesz Press and begins beating on McIntyre, ramming her head into the mat. Rolling over so she is now on top, Velvet goes to rise but Debbie holds on with a legscissors; which Velvet counters by throwing her to the mat after an airplane spin. Keeping on her now dazed opponent, Velvet McIntyre sets Debbie up for the DDT; but Debbie Combs counters with a Bridging German Suplex out of nowhere which she holds for the three.Okerlund: Welcome back Folks for tonight's tremendous Main Event which sees a return to action for Eastern Championship's Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Last time Savage was in action was against Arn Anderson in a Steel Cage almost one month ago now.
Poffo: Which just goes to show just how brutal that Match was Gene. Randy Savage; the victor of the Match; was so battered as a result that doctor's didn't clear him to compete for almost four weeks. Arn Anderson while home and said to be recovering well, still hasn't been on an Eastern Championship broadcast since the Even four weeks ago.
Okerlund: Once again we'd like to wish "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson a speedy recovery. One would have to conclude Lanny, that tonight's Match is an amazing opportunity for "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle. With the Champ possibly at one hundred percent, anything could happen in that ring tonight.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. There's no way Savage could be at the top of his game tonight. After that heelacious in-ring bout with AA; let's not forget that fall he took off the top of the Cage. The way he wrenched his arm surely tore a few ligaments. A fact Mongo Vyle is almost sure to exploit in tonight's Match.
Okerlund: Well if he wasn't thinking it before; he certainly is now. A win here for Vyle tonight would mean he'd be the number one contender for the Title and next in line for a shot at the Championship. A big stepping stone in the career in this young brawler's career it would be for sure.
Pomp and Circumstance hits as Macho Man Randy Savage emerges from the back with Debbie Combs at his side.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring first accompanied by Debbie combs; from Sarasota, Florida weighing 237 lbs.; he is the Eastern Heavyweight Champion of the World "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
He has the Heavyweight Championship about his waist as he makes his way down to the ring where after posing for the crowd he hands the belt to S.D. Jones while Combs helps him with his hat and jacket. Death metal then assaults the arena as Mongo Vyle appears on the ramp fist raised.
McGillicutty: And his challenger tonight from Hell's Kitchen, New York weighing in at 326 lbs. he is "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle.Main Event: Randy Savage vs. Mongo Vyle Jones starts the match as Randy Savage moves to lock up with Mongo Vyle. Vyle however has other ideas and nails The Champ hard with a headbutt before slamming him with a barrage of rights and lefts. Pulling him in for a clothesline; Vyle takes Davage down to the floor. Randy struggles to his feet as Vyle puts the boots to him and then begins beating his back and neck before hitting him with a powerbomb. He's about to go for the pin when Randy rolls out of the ring. He staggers about for a bit while S.D. Jones starts the ten count. Angered by this Vyle yells at the champ before rolling out after him. Savage attempts to flee him around the ring, but Mongo is too fast and begins beating on his opponent. Using a drop toe hold however, Randy sends Vyle face first into the steel steps. Needing to catch his breath Randy circles around the ring while his opponent crawls to his feet. Savage slides back into the ring breaking then ten count at 6. When The Machievallan Mauler attempts to get back inside, Macho Man stomps his hands and kicks him in the face. When he tries again; Savage connects with a baseball slide that knocks Mongo onto his ass. Climbing the turnbuckle on the inside; Macho Man leaps out onto Mongo who has gotten back to his feet and delivers a double axe-handle to his opponent on the outside. Both men are down for a while; but Savage is back up and rolls into the ring at five. Inside he awaits the Count Out victory; but Mongo is back up at eight and though Randy attempts to keep him out; Vyle is able to force his way in this time under the rope. While he is still down Savage begins putting the boots to the young brawler; whom stuns The Champ as he leaps up to his feet and connects with an uppecut which floors Savage. Going for the pin he gets a two count. Lifting Savage to his feet proves to be a mistake for Vyle as Macho Man uses a sudden burst of strength to toss the big man over his shoulders. Mongo screams in pain on the floor as Randy follows up with a legdrop. When he goes for an elbowdrop however; he finds nobody home as Vyle rolls out of the way. Back on his feet now, Vyle whips Randy into the corner hard before charging in for a big Splash. When The Camp staggers stunned out of the corner Mongo lifts him in the air and nails him with a chokeslam. Making the cover again; Savage gets his foot on the bottom rope just before the three count. This seems to infuriate Vyle who picks Savage up to his feet and begins beating on him. Getting a third wind however; Macho Man begins fighting back and soon is delivering jab after jab on the big man whom he Irish whips across the ring and takes down with a running high knee. Savage has trouble lifting Vyle back to his feet, but when he does; with some difficulty he delivers a scoopslam. Waiting for Vyle to stagger back to his feet, Randy runs into the ropes to pick up some momentum and rolls up the big man. Grabbing a handful of pants; Savage holds the roll-up for the three count. Rolling out of the ring; he is met by Debbie Combs who hands him the Title and raises her man's hand in victory while Vyle yells at S.D. Jones inside the ring about the count.
Lights Fade.

04-13-94 - Duquesne Gardens Pittsburgh, PAOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to Eastern Championship Wrestling; live with you tonight from Duquesne Gardens in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As always I'm "Mean" Okerlund and with me is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. Welcome Lanny.
Poffo: Don't let Gene fool you folks. He's a Teddy Bear. Unlike "The Machiavellian Mauler" in our first Match of the evening.
Okerlund: I tell you Lanny; I certainly don't envy Steven Richards here tonight. Mongo Vyle must be on a warpath after having his shot at the Eastern Heavyweight Championship stolen from him during last week's Main Event.
Poffo: I'd hardly call a little handful of tights a theft.
Okerlund: I'd place bets Vyle won't be agreeing with you on that this evening. And he's probably looking to take those frustrations out on someone.
"Everyday" by Buddy Holly plays as Steven Richards appears on the ramp.McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring first from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania weighing 215 lbs. he is Steven Richards.
As Richards hops into the ring with Danny Davis; Death Metal assaults the arena and Mongo Vyle storms his way down to the ring.
McGillicutty: And his opponent this evening from Hell's Kitchen, New York weighing in at 326 lbs.; he is "The Machiavellian Mauler" Mongo Vyle.Match: Steven Richards vs. Mongo Vyle Mongo Vyle doesn't wait for the start of the Match before he begins wailing on Steven Richards; whom he headbutts hard; sending him flying into the corner turnbuckle. Mongo follows his opponent and begins hammering his head and chest until he collapses seated against the ring post; where he starts kicking and stomping and finally begins choking him out. Referee Danny Davis tries several times to stop The Mauler but eventually gives up and calls for a DQ victory for Steven Richards. This upsets Vyle and he chases Davis from the ring before going down to ringside, grabs the microphone from a frightened Beulah and then rolls back into the ring.
Vyle: Macho Man! Hey you Macho Man! I'd like a word with your eminence. Now in case perhaps you didn't understand that. Macho Man. Get your ass out here. Now.
Pomp and Circumstance hits as "Macho Man" Randy Savage emerges out onto the ramp. Vyle: Good. Good. I'm glad to see that the mighty Macho Man isn't a total chicken. That he at the very least has the cajones to come out here and face me man to man. No you see Macho Man. I'm sorry. But you've got me a little pissed. Now last week I have you beaten. Defeated. Dead to rights. About to get my very first Title shot for the World Heavyweight Championship at 23 years old. And then you go and-- Well you go and cheat? Now---
Savage: Woah. Woah. Woah. Now hold up there son. You thought you had the Macho Man Randy Savage beat yeah. Defeated. Squashed. Done in. Dig. You thought you had it made yeah. A fresh faced punk beat The Macho Man. Destroyed a living legend. Fulfilled the wildest dream of every young buck who puts on their boots and steps in this here squared circle yeah? Well it's nice to have a dream boy. Dig it. It's nice to have a fantasy. Sure. But welcome to reality Mongo whatever your name is. You're nothing. You're not a damn speck on my boots. Beat The Macho Man? Pin Randy Savage for the 1-2-3? You don't have what it takes. You won't ever have what it takes. And that's why you didn't git the job done last week. Yeah. Cause you're nothing but a delusional freak.
Vyle: I'm delusional? I'm crazy? You; the one referring to yourself as a "Living Legend?" I kicked your ass last week. Me. Mongo Vyle. You think you're a Living Legend? Well then prove it. Prove it in this ring tonight. Give me a rematch and I'll show you how fucking delusional I can be.
Savage: Oooh Yeah. I can dig that. "Macho Man" Randy Savage versus "The Machiavellian Mook" Mongo whatever. Yeah. Randy Savage pinning his whiny ass one more time. 1...2...3. Yeah. Except... No. Can't do it. Don't have the time. Has already been done. Moving on to more worthy opponents. Why tonight? It's going to be a challenge. A step-up from Mongrel Mongo. A stronger. Tougher. More worthy competitor. Yeah. Tonight in this very ring it'll be "The Macho Man Randy Savage" yeah. Against... Doink the Clown. Epic. Dig it.
Vyle: Doink the fucking Clown?!
With this Mongo Vyle rushes out of the ring and charges after Macho Man. Savage stands his ground until the last second; when he pulls the Eastern Heavyweight Title off his shoulder and clubs Mongo over the head with it. Grabbing the big man by his shirt as he wheels from the blow; with some effort Randy scoopslams him off the stage to the floor below.Okerlund: Welcome back folks to Eastern Championship Wrestling right here on our home station TNN The Nashville Network. During the break our backstage medical crew saw to Mongo Vyle who is currently being treated for his injuries just received at the hands of Eastern Heavyweight Champ "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Another vicious, senseless attack by The Macho Man.
Poffo: I have to disagree with you here Gene. Macho Man was provoked. Attacked by that sore loser Mongo Vyle. And Randy Savage acted accordingly.
Okerlund: He threw him off an eight foot stage after smashing his head in with the World Title Lanny. How can you condone such behavior?
Poffo: Easily Gene. Don't want none. Don't start none. And Vyle definitely started something he couldn't finish here tonight.
Okerlund: At any rate folks; early reports are coming in that The Machiavellian's injuries here tonight were minor.
Poffo: See that? How excessive could the Eastern Champion's actions have been? Minor injuries.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. On his way to the ring from Parts Unknown, New Hampshire at 230 lbs.; he is "The Masked Man of Mystery" simply known as Dangerous.
Poffo: Funny. I always thought Parts Unknown was Canada.
Dangerous gets in the ring with Teddy Long as "Thunderkiss '65" by Rob Zombie hits and Chris Jericho makes his way out onto the ramp.
McGillicutty: And his challenger tonight from Manhasset, New York weighing 231 lbs.; he is "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho.Match: Dangerous vs. Chris Jericho Dangerous and Chris Jericho lock up as Long starts the Match. Turning about, Dangerous takes Jericho down with a hiptoss, followed by a short dropkick to the back of the head. Going for the cover he gets a one before Chris powers out, nailing his masked opponent with an elbow to the jaw. Both men back on their feet they trade several punches before Chris kicks Dangerous in the gut and sets him up for the DDT, which Dangerous counters with a back body drop. The agile Loud-Mouth however lands on his feet and spinning about nails Dangerous with a superkick before going for the pin. He gets a two before his opponent limply kicks out. Angered Jericho lifts the Maked Man on Mystery up and begins pounding on him before whipping him into the ropes and connects with a jumping corkscrew kick for the three.Okerlund: Welcome back from the break ladies and gentlemen as we get set for some Tag-Team action here at Eastern Championship. Tonight's bout set to feature two of our newer teams here at Eastern Championship.
Poffo: My God. Wasn't seeing half of The Stevies once tonight enough?
Okerlund: Not to worry Lanny. I doubt Steven Richards is up to much of anything tonight after the beating handed to him courtesy of Mongo Vyle earlier in the evening. While not a new team here, while Jerry Lawler is recovering from his injuries suffered at the hands of The Black Circle; Scott Taylor has been filling in for him; partnering with his childhood friend and Jerry's son Brian Lawler.
The Bill Conti Overture sounds.
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first accompanied to ringside by Jerry "The King" Lawler and weighing a combined 422 lbs.; they are The Lawlers "The Superstar" Scott Taylor and Brian Lawler.
Jerry's arm is no longer in a sling, but he is still walking with the aide of a cane as he makes his way to the ring with Brian and Scott. Once they're inside the ring Devon Hughes' intro starts as he and Spike appear on the ramp.
Devon: Testify!
Poffo: Oh. These guys...
McGillicutty: And introducing their opponents weighing a combined total of 430 lbs.; they are The Hughes Brothers; Devon and Spike Hughes.Match: The Lawlers vs. The Hughes Brothers S.D. Jones starts the match as Devon Hughes locks up with Scott Taylor. Overpowering Taylor at the offset, Hughes connects with a punhandle slam, followed by an elbow drop on Taylor which gets him a two count. Lifting his opponent up to his feet, Devon whips Scott hard into the ropes, causing him to spill over them. Hughes holds up his hands triumphantly to the crowd and screams "Tesfify!" What he hasn't seen is that Taylor hung onto the top rope when he went over and skins the cat to come back in. Charging Devon from behind, he nails the big man with a two-handed bulldog; which he follows up with a springboard moonsault. Making the cover, he gets a two before Devon powers out hard. Back on his feet first Taylor begins stomping and then punching on Hughes as he gets up on one knee. Fighting his way to his feet Devon begins hammering Scott before connecting with a massive headbutt that floors him. Making the cover Devon gets another two count before Scott kicks out. Lifting The Superstar to his feet, Hughes tags in Spike Hughes before picking Taylor up for a vertical suplex while Spike mounts the top turnbuckle. At the same time Devon drops Taylor backwards; Spike hits him with a flying crossbody; landing on top of him on the mat below. He gets a near three count before Brian Lawler rushes in and knocks Spike off with a stomp to the back of the head. Jones orders Lawler out of the ring, but he's already given Scott Taylor enough time to recover to take Spike down with a drop toe hold before scrambling to his corner and making the tag to Brian Lawler. Inside the ring Brian charges Spike and nails him with a barrage of punches before taking him down with a clothesline. Devon Hughes however kills Lawler's momentum when he grabs him on the outside and hits a hangman on Brian. While their opponent is down Spike gets back to one knee and tags Devon Hughes back in. Devon explodes on Brian Lawler while he is still down with a number of stomps and kicks before Brian rolls out of the ring to catch his breath. S.D. begins the ten count and whiles he orders Lawler back into the ring; Jerry "The King" Lawler climbs up onto the apron and calling to Devon Hughes; smashes the young man in the face with his crown when he turns to him. Devon cries out and holds his face as Brian hops back in the ring and beating on Hughes for a bit first, hits him with a snap suplex. Going up top he goes aiborne and connects with the Tennesse Jam guillotine legdrop for the win.As Eastern Championship comes back from commercial we're backstage where Rick Rude is standing near the locker room door talking with Manami Toyota. Suddenly Papa Shango arrives and gets in Rude's face. Shango: Rick Rude. Papa Shango doesn't see your friends here tonight. Papa Shango doesn't see anything standing between your life and the hands of the Soul Stealer. So what business does Rick Rude have with the minions of The Dark Lord? The indomitable cabal of evil known as The Black Circle. For make no mistake Rick Rude. Papa Shango may own you now. But you are no friend of The Evil One. And therefore Papa Shango will end you.
Rude: Ooh ee yadda yadda. Like I told you last week you costumed chump. You can say my name; Rick Rude; as eery as you want. You can chant it at you little delusional get togethers over your cauldron all you want. But at the end of the day I'm not scared of you. And you and your little cronie can try and beat me up again all you want. Attack me from behind. You might succeed. Whatever. Won't change a damn thing. I don't fear you or your mumbo jumbo. Never will. As for your little girlfriend here? I have no control over her. You don't want her talking to The Ravishing One? You tell her. But it won't do you any good. Cause your little magic act isn't as powerful as the voodoo that Rude do.
With this he reaches over and tries to kiss Manami Toyota. Just then however Brickhouse Brown rushes in and begins wailing on Rick. Rude fires back and gets the upperhand until Papa Shango grabs him from behind and the two Black Circle members beat him down while Toyota looks on. This goes on for several moments before Rob Van Dam shows up and nails Shango from behind with a enziguiri kick. Startled; he grabs Toyota and along with Brown makes his mistake. Rick Rude is okay and thanks RVD for the help. The camera then returns to ringside with Mean Gene and "Leaping" Lanny Poffo.
Okerlund: Typical tactics from those Black Circle goons. They're fine with attacking people as long as there's more of them than you.
Poffo: It's "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Okerlund: Hm?
Poffo: I'm not talking to you Gene. Anyway, if I were Rob Van Dam I'd stick to minding my own business. As you said Gene. The Dark Circle is like a wolfpack. They'll wait for their opening and attack you when they have the advantage. There's no reason to attract their attention I say. Rick Rude made his bed. Let him sleep in it I say.
Okerlund: You would. You're yellow.
Poffo: It's a nice color.

The Killer Bee attempts to roll away, but Buck keeps on him and hammers his head and neck as her pulls Blair to his feet. Blair manages to struggle free however and goes punch for punch with the Rock 'N Roller before taking him down with a gutwrench suplex which earns Blair a two count. Buck looks dazed as Brian lifts him to his feet and continues smacks and punching him; finally whipping him into the ropes. Zumhoff however connects with a lunging shoulder block on the return and before Blair has a chance to fall back, he grabs the Bee's arm and delivers several shoulder thrusts before letting him drop to the ground. Going to pick him up; Zumhoff gets a surprise from Brian Blair when he is rolled up in a small package. Buck kicks out just before the three count is delivered and both men spring back to their feet. Though B. Brian Blair puts up a small defense, Buck Zumhoff makes it to his feet just seconds before which gives him the edge and after several punches to his opponent he hits the Bee with a back body drop which puts him away for the three count.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome back to Eastern Championship.
Poffo: If you're wondering why Gene is in such a good mood; it's because he about to see some boobies.

Back on her feet she begins putting the boots to Kai who fights her way to one knee before pushing Debbie across the ring and into the ropes. Charging her opponent Kai delivers a massive shoulder block before Irish whipping Combs and connecting with a spinning clothesline which gets her a near three count. Bringing Hot Stuff back to her feet, Kai sets her up for a suplex, but gets a shock when Debbie nails her with a sitout jawbreaker over her head. Both women are down long enough for Teddy Long to begin the ten count; but he only gets to three when Debbie gets back on her feet and scrambles for the pin which only gets her a one. Getting back up Combs stalks Leilani who she nails with a standing dropkick when she regains her footing. Kai however keeps to her feet and only staggers back as Combs comes in for another assault. The Hawaiin Princess has other plans however and scoops Debbie into the air and turning about nails her with a back body drop in the center of the ring. She doesn't go for the pinfall this time however and instead goes up top. Leaping off the top turnbuckle Leilani Kai connects hard with a diving splash that puts Combs away for the three count.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen. Before our last break we witnessed Leilani Kai defeat Debbie Combs for the number one contendership. This means in two weeks she will face off against the Women's Champion "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore for the Women's Title. With The Killer Bees challenging The New Orient Express for the Tag Titles on next week's broadcast; we could very well see a new Woman's Champion and new Tag-Team Champions before the end of the month Lanny.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. The Bees having defeated a very determined Deep South last week for the number one contender spot. One half of Deep South; Dick Murdoch; will face off in our next bout against "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin.

Garvin however puts an end to it when he grabs Dick around the neck and pulls him in for a backbreaker over his knee. Dick counter with a back elbow and follows up with a clothesline which he misses when Garvin ducks under him and takes him down with a side Russian legsweep. Keeping on top of Murdoch, Ronnie locks him in a full nelson which Redneck counters by flipping Garvin over him and onto the mat where he locks in a rear chinlock. Garvin struggles in the move but eventually fightes his way to his feet and turning about looks to kick Dick in the gut. Murdoch however has other plans and catching his foot; scoops Garvin up for a powerslam. It connects and Dick goes for the cover but only comes away with a two count. Putting the boots first to Ronnie, Murdoch lifts the smaller man up; but soon finds himself trapped in a roll-up for two. Both men spring back up to their feet and begin pounding on one another until Murdoch hits Garvin with another clothesline which drives The Rugged One back into the ropes. As Dick comes in swinging, Ronnie hits a desperation headbutt which gives him back control of the match as he begins hammering Murdoch across the ring and whips him into the ropes; setting him up for the rolling cross armbreaker which he transitions intro an armbar. Poffo: Thanks Gene. Looking forward to seeing Savage defeat Sharpe here tonight.
Okerlund: Ruling out Mike Sharpe so early?
Poffo: Only natural Gene. I mean he bills himself as Canada's Greatest Athlete. That's kind of like saying you're the sanest person at Bellevue. I mean the only time you'll see a Canadian win a Championship is if you're watching CWF.
Okerlund: And if there's one thing Lanny knows; it's mental hospitals Folks.
Poffo: Well I figured someone should visit your wife.McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for on fall. Okerlund: I believe Velvet McIntyre's originally from Ireland.
Poffo: Still. Canada rubbed off on her.
Okerlund: Like your Genius did to me perhaps?
Poffo: No Gene. This time it worked.
Okerlund: So you're saying "Rugged" Ronnie Garvinn is also a loser?
Poffo: No Gene. He's a liar. He likes to tell outlandish tales about people being related. He's probably also lying that he's from Canada.
Okerlund: So then where do you think he's from?
Poffo: I dunno. Perhaps somewhere where winners hail from. Like Downers Grove, Illinois for instance.

Taking Taylor down to the mat with a drop toe hold, Garvin looks to lock in the figure four leglock; but Scott wiggles free and pushes Garvin off him with his feet. Kip-upping off the floor, Scott begins hammering Garvin; but the old veteran soon has the advantage once more as he begins wailing back, knocking Taylor across the ring. Whipping him into the ropes; Garvin launches at Taylor and hits the rolling cross armbreaker. Locking in the armbar; Ronnie Garvin has Scott Taylor tapping in second. And in that ring I'm going to leave you in a very bad way Rob Van Dam. Make no mistake about it. In the name of the Dark Circle. You won't be walking out of this arena tonight.
RVD: Dude. Dude. No need to get all riled up like that. Think of your blood pressure. Now I feel you man. I get it. Last week you guys were bullying Rick Rude and I stepped in. Smacked your master in the face. Not cool right? So now you're looking for a little payback. I dig it. And I wish I could help. Would love nothing more than to kick your ass. Again. Show these fine folks why they call me Mr. Wednesday Night. But I can't. Card's booked. Now next week? You're on pal. And because I'm Rob... Van... Dam; what say we make this interesting. Next week. In that ring. You and me. For the Intercontinental Title.

Poffo: I can't believe you'd speak so derisively of the honorable Mr. Fuji.

Doug battles back however and back on his feet, he whips Corino across the ring and connects with a flying crossbody. When Steve kicks out again, he begins complaining to Long about how Doug was using the ropes for leverage, which he wasn't. This however gives Doug Williams all the opening he needs to push Corino from behind, bumping him into Long; and hit his Chaos Theory German Suplex; which he bridges for the win.Okerlund: Hello Folks and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling here live from The Gund Arena. Before the break we witnessed an unbelievable bout by two young stars in Steve Corino and "The U.K. Kidd" Doug Williams.
Poffo: If by unbelievable; you mean how blind Teddy Long is ignoring those blatant attempts at cheating by Williams; then I agree one hundred percent Gene.
Okerlund: What're you talking about now Lanny?
Poffo: The grabbing of the tights. His feet on the ropes. The U.K. Kidd has a full career ahead of him. Full of low blows.
Okerlund: I don't know what you're talking about. I didn't see any of that.
Poffo: Birds of a feather.
Irish Folk music is heard as Erin O'Grady appears from the back and begins throwing coins out to the crowd.
McGillicutty: The following bout is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Dublin, Ireland weighing 212 lbs.; he is "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady.
After Erin enters the ring hard rock sounds as Matt Borne appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: And his challengers this evening from Elwood City, Pennsylvania; he is "The Maniac" Matt Borne.Match: Erin O'Grady vs. Matt Borne Matt Borne barely waits for referee S.D. Jones to start the match before he begins hammering Erin O'Grady across the ring and into the ropes; before whipping him across the ring. On the rebound however, The Leprechaun connects with a dropkick that catches Borne unawares and out over the top rope to the floor below. Waiting for Borne to get up to his feet, Erin hopes up onto the top rope and lands a springboard dive on Maniac Matt that sends them both crashing to the floor. Before both men have gotten back to their feet, they begin throwing punches at one another until Borne springs to his feet, lifts O'Grady up into the air and slams him back first into the ring. After a shoulder thrust, Borne rolls Erin into the ring and goes for the pin; but O'Grady kicks out at two. Angered by this, Borne first stomps and then beats on Erin as he lifts The Leprechaun up and runs him to the corner for a powerbomb. Erin O'Grady however slips out of Borne's grip and behind him at the last second; Matt Borne crashing face first into the top turnbuckle just before O'Grady rolls him up for the 1,2,3. Realizing the danger he is in as Borne leaps back up to his feet, O'Grady scrambles out of the ring; but points and taunts a very flustered Maniac as he back his way quickly up the ramp.
Okerlund: A big win for "The Leprechaun" here tonight.
Poffo: Any win is a big win for "The Leprechaun" Gene.
Okerlund: Sour grapes.
Just then Rick Rude's strip music hits as The Sexiest Man Alive appears on the ramp. He does a dance for the ladies in the audience before making his way into the ring where Beulah hands him her microphone.Rude: Alright. Cut the music. Now before any of you delicious does from Ohio get to excited; and I know you already are; Rick Rude is here on business tonight. So with that said; Papa Shango; get your magical moose-sized ass out here.
With that the lights go dark and Shango's voodoo intro plays as mist fills the arena. When the lights come back on Papa Shango is standing before Rick Rude with Manami Toyota. Shango: Rick Rude. Rick Rude. The Dark Lords have spoken of fools such as thee. To someone the great, the powerful Soul Taker; Papa Shango; before you---
Rude: Yeah, Yeah. I called the witch doctor and this is what he said. Blah, blah, blah. Now I understand as a portly priest you've got a problem with me. I mean look at me. And then look at you. Who wouldn't. I've got more magic in these here hips than you have in that entire hocus pocus act of yours. So I'm going to make this very simple for you. Next week in this ring; you put your money where your mouth is. Hex me, vex me; or in your case Manami; sex me.
Shango: Infidel! How dare you speak to--
Rude has heard enough and taking the microphone, he belts Shango over the head with it. The two men brawl across the ring until they reach the ropes; whereupon Rick Rude clotheslines Papa Shango out of the ring. After several moments stairing after Shango; Rude turns about to see Manami Toyota is still standing in the middle of the ring. He swaggers over to her.
Rude: You looking for a little more of that magic Rude do little lady?
Rick Rude moves in to kiss Toyota; but when he does she knees him in the crotch and he falls to the mat in pain. She stands over him staring at him while Papa Shango goes crazy with excitement up on the ramp. The lights go dim again and mist once again fills the arena. When the lights go back on; Manami is gone and Shango's pet raven is seated on Rude's head. Shango gestures to the bird and it flies off of Rick and onto its master's shoulder.
Okerlund: One thing's for sure Lanny. Next week there's going to be hell to pay. When we come back from break we'll be going directly to tonight's big Main Event folks. Stay tuned.
Poffo: And by big. Gene means big in Canada. As Eastern Championship Wrestling teturns; "Pomp and Circumstance" is playing as "Macho Man" Randy Savage emerges from the back with Debbie Combs in tow. He has the World Championship draped over his shoulder.
McGillicutty: The following non-Title Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first at 237 lbs. from Sarasota, Florida and accompanied to the ring by "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs; he is the Eastern Heavyweigh Champion; "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Savage enters the ring and poses for the crowd before handing the belt over to Danny Davis. Combs takes his hat and jacket as The Canadian National Anthem is heard. Mike Sharpe appears on the ramp waving the Canadian flag.
McGillicutty: And introducing his opponent this evening; hailing from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada at 282 lbs.; he is Canada's Greatest Athlete; "Iron" Mike Sharpe.Main Event: Randy Savage vs. Mike Sharpe As the match begins Randy Savage and Mike Sharpe lock up. The two men are pretty evenly matched as they grapple for leverage; but with a grunt Sharpe nails Savage with a headbutt. The two men begin brawling about the ring until Iron Mike whips Randy into the ropes and connects with a massive clothesline. Scooping up The Champ he delivers a backbreaker over his knee and dropping Savage on the floor covers him. Randy kicks out before two and Sharpe pounds his head until Savage pushes him away and starts nailing the Canadian strongman with chop after chop. Whipping him across the ring; Randy hits him hard with a big boot. On the ground, Sharpe grabs Savage and pulls him down to him where he crawls on top of Macho Man and begins beating on him. Randy takes punch after punch until he escapes with a rake to the eyes. Getting to his feet, Savage kicks Sharpe in the face before hitting him hard in the back with an elbowdrop. Lifting him up proves a mistake as Mike Sharpe captures him in a bear hug and begins squeezing the life out of Savage. Randy seems to fade, but quickly waks back up and grabbing Sharpe by the head delivers several blows to it; before landing a low blow that goes unnoticed by the ref. Back on his feet, Macho Man takes several seconds to recover his breath before grabbing Iron Mike in a front headlock and nails him to the ring with a delayed vertical suplex. Going for the pin; Randy Savage wins the match.
Lights Fade.

Tonight's tremendous Main Event will see the Intercontinental Title on the line as "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam will defend his Championship against Papa Shango's minion; Brickhouse Brown.
Poffo: Thanks for the introduction Gene.
Okerlund: Sorry folks. I'm Mean Gene Okerlund and with me at ringside tonight as always is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: That's better. But let's not waste time here tonight with introductions Gene. Nobody cares who you are. Tonight's card is set to start off with a Main Event worthy Match itself as "The Soul Taker" himself Papa Shango and "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude settle their differences that've been building over the past few weeks; the only way we know how. In that ring.
Rick Rude's strip music hits.McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Robbinsdale, Minnesota weighing in at 251 lbs.; "Ravishing" Rick Rude.
On the ramp Rude gives a little dance for the ladies before heading down to the ring. Once he's inside the ring with referee Teddy Long; the lights dim and smoke fills the arena. Voodoo music plays as Papa Shango appears from the back with Manami Toyota.
McGillicutty: And introducing his challenger this evening recently escaped from The Depths of Hell and accompanied to the ring by Manami Toyota. Weighing 320 lbs. he is "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango.Match: Rick Rude vs. Papa Shango Ravishing Rick Rude locks up with Papa Shango as the match begins. Shango connects with a knee to Rude's gut; which angers The Ravishing One as he begins hammering on Shango. The Soul Take fires back and soon the two men are brawling in the center of the ring until Rude hits Shango with an uppecut that sends the big man staggering back. Running back into the ropes to build momentum; Rick connects with a dropkick that sends his opponent stumbling back across the ring and dumps him over the top rope onto the outside. Rude poses for the crowd as Shango gets back to his feet. Just then however, Rick charges across the ring and leaps out with a tope dive. Shango however sees him coming and steps aside as Rude crashes head first into the steel barricade. Papa Shango begins stomping Ravishing Rick while inside the ring Long begins administering the ten count. Lifting his opponent up into the air while still on the outside; Papa Shango nails Rude with a Death Valley Driver on the concrete. Rick is completely out of it when Shango lifts him back up and rolls him into the ring at eight. Making the cover; Rick shocks everyone includes Shango as he limply kicks out before the three count is delivered. Picking rude back up to his feet, Shango begins hammering The Ravishing One's head and back before Irish whipping him across the rings into the ropes. On the rebound Shango connects hard with a thunderous big boot before going for the pin once again. 1... 2... Rude kicks out. 3! Papa Shango begins going crazy in the ring with his voodoo shenanigans while behind him Rude struggles up to one knee. Grabbing Shango unawares from behind; Rude hits him with an atomic drop which sends The Soul Taker down to the mat. Rude is unable to capitalize however as he stretches his neck and holds his head to steady himself. He stomps Shango a bit before attempting to lift the big man to his feet. On one knee however Shango nails Rude with a back elbow before grabbing him by the head and takes him down to the mat with a snapmare. Keeping hold of his opponent, Papa Shango twists in a headlock as Rick Rude screams in pain. He struggles in the hold for a number of moments before he is forced to tap. Shango keeps the hold locked in place however; only releasing it when Long threatens to disqualify him. Papa Shango stands over Rude victorious as Manami Toyota joins him inside the ring.Okerlund: Hellow ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. Before the break we witnessed a tremendous upset as "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango defeated "Ravishing" Rick Rude. I hate to even think this Lanny; but I think we could be looking at a future Heavyweight Champion in Papa Shango.
Poffo: Xenu help us.
"Rock You Like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions erupts across the arena as Buck Zumhoff appears on the ramp dancing with his boombox in hand.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring first from Hamburg, Minnesota weighing 220 lbs.; "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff.
Steve Blackman's intro plays as Zumhoff hands over his boombox to referee S.D. Jones. Blackman appears on the ramp and gives a display of his martial arts prowess with his Kendo Sticks.
McGillicutty: And his opponent making his way to the ring from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania weighing in at 246 lbs; he is "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman.Match: Buck Zumhoff vs. Steve Blackman S.D. Jones starts the match. However Buck Zumhoff and Steve Blackman don't lock up. Instead Buck Zumhoff shows off a few dance moves for the audience. Blackman looks nonplused and shakes his head before giving a karate performance for the audience. Zumhoff claps before locking up with Blackman. On top of his game, Steve pulls Buck forward and takes him down to the mat applying an armbar. After punishing Buck for a few moments, Blackman gets to his feet and hits a jumping stomp to the same arm. Buck rolls on the floor in pain before Steve lifts him to his feet and looks to suplex the Rock 'N Roller. Zumhoff however manages to keep himself on the mat and breaking free begins hitting Blackman with several chops and right hands. Grabbing the momentarily stunned Blackman, Buck Irish whips him across the ring and connects with a jumpkick on Blackman which sends him down to the mat. Going for the cover Buck doesn't even get a two count before Blackman powers out. Back on his feet first, Zumhoff begins hammering on Steve as he gets to one knee until The Slient Assassin takes him down to the mat with a legsweep. Pouncing his opponent, Blackman hits a fist drop to Zumhoff's face before he begins hitting him with hard rights and lefts. The ref breaks this assault up and Buck recovers himself somewhat before getting to one knee. When Steve charges in at him again; Zumhoff nails him with an inverted atomic drop. Leaping up to his feet as Blackman hobbles about; Buck connects with a lariat takedown. Now back on his feet, Zumhoff pulls Blackman up to his before delivering a pumphandle slam which gets him the win.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen; and thank you for joining us here at Eastern Championship Wrestling on our home station TNN The Nashville Network. We're about set for Tag-Team action as we witness another of Lanny's "pot-luck" teams in Mongo Vyle and Rhino.
Poffo: Nothing lucky about this Tag-Team Gene. Especially if you're their opponents I can tell you that. They're two young, big men from the mean streets of Hell's Kitchen and The Motor City. I think these two found a common ground a while back and are now looking to capitalize on their combined power and strength.
Okerlund: The Killer Bees are no slouches either.
Poffo: Certainly not. Just last week we nearly witnessed The Bees win the Tag-Team championships. Anyone capable of nearly defeating The New Orient Express is a force to be reckoned with for sure.
Death Metal assaults the arena as Mongo Vyle and Rhino appear on the ramp and give each other a double hibe five before making their way down to the ring.
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first at a combined weigft of 596 lbs.; they are "The Man-Beast" Rhino and "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle.
As the two big men begin pacing around the ring; an annoying buzzing is head and The Killer Bees appear on the ramp in their jackets.
McGillicutty: And introducing their opponents this evening weighing a combined total of 457 lbs.; they are the team of "Jumping" Jim Brunzell and B. Brian Blair; The Killer Bees.Tag-Team Match: Mongo Vyle & Rhino vs. The Killer Bees Rhino and Jim Brunzell starts things off as Danny Davis begins the match. Brunzell looks to lockup; but is met with a hard right from The Man-Beast. The two men go punch for punch for a bit until Rhino kicks Jim in the gut and taking him by the head he runs him into the turnbuckle and begins battering him. Running back into the middle of the ring; Rhino charges in looking for The Gore; but the agile Bee leaps over him and connects with a sunset flip pin for two. Rhino is quickly back on his feet, but is almost as quickly taken back down via a toe hold from Brunzell who climbs on top of Rhino and puts him in a full nelson. Rhino struggles to free himself for a while, but is unable to. Finally he fights his way to his feet and charges the turnbuckle once again; only at the last second he turns about and squashes Jumping Jim in the corner. Brunzell falls flat on his face and Rhino drags him into the center of the ring before making the tag to Mongo Vyle. Vyle immediately goes up top and looks to hit a double diving legdrop. At the last second however, Jim rolls out of the way and leaping up to his feet makes a desperation tag to B. Brian Blair. Landing hard on his tailbone, Mongo howls in pain as Blair begins putting the boots to him. Lifting Vyle to his feet, Brian hits a snap suplex before going for the cover a two. The Machiavellan Mauler powers out hard however and getting to his feet begins beating on Blair with a flurry of hard rights and lefts before he clotheslines him and goes for the pin. Blair kicks out at two. Angered; Mongo picks The Killer Bee up to his feet and hits him with a bionic elbow before lifting him for a powerslam. Brian however slides out of the big man's grip and landing behind him delivers a standing dropkick that sends Vyle into the ropes. Running at his opponent, Blair hits a reverse bronco buster. With his opponent down and out, Brian tries to pull the big man to the center of the ring, but is unable to. When he decides to go for a cover; Vyle pokes him in the eyes. As B. Brian Blair reels around clutching his face, Mongo Vyle gets to his feet and scoops his opponent up for a big backdrop which gets him the win.Okerlund: Welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling; where the Women's Championship is about set to be put on the line in a tremendous match-up between Women's Champion "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore and "The Hawaiin Princess" Leilani Kai.
Poffo: Leilani Kai has been on a roll recently here at Eastern Championship; having defeated Debra Combs two weeks ago in a number one contendership match. Not sure however if she has what it takes to put away the Women's Champ Jacqueline Moore however.
Okerlund: Don't see Kai as Championship material Lanny?
Poffo: Not at all Gene. Leilani Kai is one hell of a competitor. For a woma anyway. To me Jacqueline Moore has just shown herself to be an all around better wrestler. She can grapple, she can brawl; and even has great technical ability. There's just so many different ways she can come at you to pick up the win.
Okerlund: Sounds like you admire her.
Poffo: Please Gene. She just reminds me of myself. It'd obvious she subscribes to the Lanny Poffo school of wrestling.
McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Women's Championship. Introducing first from Dallas, Texas weighing 130 lbs.; she is the Eastern Women's Champion "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore.
Jackie appears on the ramp with the Championship about her waist. She removes her cowboy hat an waves it to the crowd before making her way to the ring. Inside she hands her strap to Teddy Long as Hawaiin music is heard.
McGillicutty: And introducing her opponent this evening hailing from Honolulu, Hawaii weighing in at 162 lbs.; she is "The Hawaiin Princess" Leilani Kai.Women's Title Match: Jacqueline Moore vs. Leilani Kai As the bell rings Jacqueline Moore and Leilani Kai lock up. Kai overpowers Moore and lifts her up into a beahug. Jacqueline struggles in the hold and begins beating on the head of The Hawaiin Princess; who throws the Champ down to the mat in annoyance. Jumping into the air Leilani looks to connect with a headbutt drop; but Moore quckily rolls out of the way letting her opponent collide head first into the canvas. While Kai is dazed; Jacqueline stomps her a bit before lifting her to her feet and nails her with a suplex. Going for the cover; Miss Texas gets a two count before Kai kicks out. As her opponent gets back to her feet dazed; Jacqueline mounts the turnbuckle and connects with a flying crossbody. Her larger opponent however catches her in mid-air and counters with a fall-away slam. Going for the cover, Kai gets a two count. Back up, Kai hits an elbow drop on Jacqueline before she begins stomping her and lifting her up hits a powerbomb before once again going for the pin. Jacqueline however kicks at two and rolls out of the ring. As she holds her head trying to regain her senses; inside the ring Leilani Kai goes up top and leaps out of the ring on top of her. Both women go crashing to the floor as the ref continues the count. Getting to her feet, Leilani realizes the danger she is in and climbs back inside; resetting the count at 9. She immediately leaves the ring again however and looks to grab the Women's Champ; but Jacqueline has other plans as she drops Kai with a toe hold; face first into the steel steps. Picking her opponent back up to her feet, she rolls Leilani back into the ring and looks to make the pin. Kai however kicks out just before the three and when Jacqueline tries to pick The Hawaiin Princess up again, she is soon caught in an inside cradle for two. Leaping up to their feet; both women collide in the middle of the ring as an all out brawl breaks out; until Moore catches Leilani with a sudden DDT. Kai however blocks the move as she throws her hands out and lands on them instead, before pushing herself up and hopping back onto her feet. Jacqueline has no idea what just happened as she hits the mat alone and Kai turns and grabs the Champ by the wrists before tossing her after an airplane spin. Though dizzy; Jacqueline Moore groggily gets to her feet; only to be caught in a gorilla press slam by Leilani Kai who goes for the cover and wins the Women's Championship. Moore lies motionless in the ring as Long hands over the Title to Leilani Kai whose hand he raises in victory as The Hawaiin Princess beats her chest with her free hand and lets out a growl.Okerlund: Things can't be looking good for Rob Van Dam here in Cincinnati as we witness a night full of upsets here at Eastern Championship. Before the break "The Hawaiin Princess" Leilani Kai defeated "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore for the Eastern Women's Championship.
Poffo: And a massive win it was Gene. And quite the display of athleticism I might add. The way Kai countered that DDT was unbelievable Gene.
Okerlund: Completely agree with you there Lanny. We'll be hearing from our new Women's Champ next week here on Eastern Championship; so be sure to tune in for that ladies and gentlemen.
"Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein hits as The Blitzkrieg appears on the ramp with his manager The Baron Von Rascke.
McGillicutty: The followin Match is scheduled for one fall. On his way to the ring accompanied by The Baron Von Rascke; from the Republic of Germany at 323 lbs.; he is "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg.
Poffo: Speaking of upset. I'd be pretty upset having to face him.
While The Blitzkrieg paces the ring; Ronnie Garvin appears on the ramp accompanied by no music.
McGillicutty: And his opponent weighing 231 lbs. from Montreal, Quebec, Canada; "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin.
Okerlund: As some of you may recall; Ronnie Garvin was defeated by The Blitzkrieg a little over a month ago. He has since been in training to get back at the beast. And requested this match here tonight.
Poffo: He requested this match?
Okerlund: So I'm told.
Poffo: Insanity.Match: The Blitzkrieg vs. Ronnie Garvin As S.D. Jones begins the match; The Blitzkrieg lungers at Ronnie Garvin and right into a hard knee to the gut. Garvin counters this with an elbow to The Blitzkieg's back and then grabs the big man's arm; locking in an arm wrench. The monster struggles in the hold for a moment before using his longer reach to backhand The Rugged One. Ronnie reels about only to be caught up in the air and powerslammed to the ground. The Blitzkrieg goes for the cover; but Garvin amazes as he kicks out close to three. Angered by this; The Blitzkrieg begins lifts his opponent and begins hammering his back and neck until Ronnie slaps his way fee and begins hammering Mangler's Monster with hard lefts and rights. Out of breath; he stops for a second; and looks up at the unphased Blitzkrieg. The big man swings at Ronnie; but Garvin runs back into the ropes for momentum and comes at him with a shoulder block that The Blitzrieg counters with a powerbomb. Going for the pin; he gets the win.Poffo: Well that couldn't have gone the way Garvin planned it.
Okerlund: Certainly not Lanny. Before the break ladies and gentlement; we witnessed "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin in a losing; but valiant effort with the monster known as The Blitzkrieg.
Poffo: Only you would confuse the word valiant with the word stupid Gene.
"Fire" by Scooter plays as Steve Corino appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring from Sea Isle City, New Jersey weighing 242 lbs.; Steve Corino.
While Corino enters the ring and poses for the indifferent crowd; Circus music begins to play and Doink the Clown appears on the ramp riding a unicycle.
McGillicutty: And his challenger this evening; recently fired from a cannon at Barnum and Balley's; weighing 243 lbs.; he is "The Master of Puppet Shows" Doink the Clown.Match: Steve Corino vs. Doink the Clown Doink the Clown enters the ring and produces a hand puppet from his pocket. He makes it talk gibberish to Steve Corino who slaps it away. Doink the Clown retaliates with a left hook and the matche begins. Doink continues punching Steve across the ring and into the corner where he begins stomping on him. He then proceeds to taunt Corino with the puppet until Danny Davis takes it away from the very reluctant and argumentative clown. This gives Steve some time to recover and he hits Doink from behind with a running clothesline. Lifting him up; the angry young grappler begins pounding on Doink's back and neck before whipping him across the ring and nails him with a leg lariat on the rebound. Grabbing his fallen opponent's arml Corino applies an armbar; making The Clown howl in pain until he manages to grab the bottom rope. Davis breaks the tow men up and Corino charges Doink as the clown uses the ropes to steady himself; and counters with a back bodydrop that sends Stev over the ropes and out of the ring. Dropping and rolling out of the ring himself; Doink grinds his heel into the face of the fallen Corino and then proceeds to jump on his face before returning to the ring. Davis counts to 5 before Steve gets up and staggers back inside. Doink immediately pounces the young man and begins beating on him before nailing him with a snap suplex. Going for the cover he gets a two count before Steve kicks out. Dragging Corino over to the corner; Doink sets Corino up for the diving seated senton he calls The Whoopie Cushion; but Corino has other plans and joining Doink on the top rope; battles him for control. Finally Steve Corino manages to hit a northern lights suplex off the top turnbuckle; which he bridges for the win.Poffo: Greetings ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling as we get set for tonight's tremendous Main Event.
Okerlund: Hey. That's my line.
Poffo: I know.
Okerlund: Anyways; Rob Van Dam is set to defend the Intercontinental Title against Brickhouse Brown.
Poffo: And perhaps more importantly; again his Dark Circle cohorts Papa Shango and Manami Toyota; whom I'm sure will be at ringside.
Okerlund: The deck is definitely stacked against the young man from Battle Creek, Michigan; that's for sure Lanny.
"Poundcake" by Van Halen sounds as Rob Van Dam appears from the back and gives a roundhouse kick before making his way down the ramp.

Inside the ring; Rob Van Dam points to his shoulders as the crowd chants "Rob... Van... Dam" before removing the belt from around his waist and handing it over to Teddy Long. Just then voodoo music plays as the arena goes dark and fills with mist.
On the ramp in the darkness appears Papa Shango with Brickhouse Brown and Manami Toyota in tow.
McGillicutty: And his challenger this evening from Wilmington, Delaware weighing 270 lbs.; he is accompanied to the ring by The Dark Circle; Brickhouse Brown.Intercontinental Title Match: Rob Van Dam vs. Brickhouse Brown Rob Van Dam and Brickhouse Brown immediately lock up at Long starts the match. Brown takes RVD down via a snapmare and applies a rear chinlock. Rob struggles in the hold for a while before throwing his educated feet up at Brown's face; with which he finally connects knocking himb backward. Van Dam hops up back to his feet and connects with a jumping roundhouse kick that plants Brown on the ground. Running to the ropes; Rob looks to follow up with a springboard moonsault only to find Brown's knees in his gut. Van Dam flails around on the mat like a fish as Brickhouse gets to his feet and begins stomping on RVD; finally hitting a elbowdrop and going for the cover. Van Dam kicks out at before two. Trying to get up to his feet; Van Dam is hoisted up by Brown; who hammers on his head before whipping him into the ropes. When Brown looks to hit a back bodydrop; RVD rolls over him and heads into the ropes; and hits a bulldog on the way back. Looking to go upstairs; Rob hops up onto the top rope as agile as a cat; only to have the rope pulled out from under him by Shango. He tumbles into the ring and into the waiting arms of Brickhouse who hits him with a hiptoss, followed by a spinebuster. Going for the cover Brickhouse gets a two count on the Champ. Van Dam kicks out and when Brown looks to stay on top of him with a headlock he battles back with an elbow to the jaw. Back on his feet Van Dam connects with a enzuiguri kick and goes for the cover. He gets a two count. Lifting Brown to his feet Rob begins hitting him on the head and back before whipping him across the ring and hitting a flying crossbody roll-up. He gets a near three count when Papa Shango reaches into the ring and pulls RVD off by his leg. Teddy yells at Shango and RVD is soon up and joining in. While Long is distracted; Manami Toyota tosses Shango's cauldron to Brown; and the big man nails RVD over the back of the head with it. At the same moment; RVD nails Brickhouse with the Rolling Thunder. Proceeding to go up top as Jerry Lawler wails on Shango; Rob Van Dam hits the Five-Star Frog Splash on Brickhouse Brown getting the win. Lawler then walks over to Beulah and accepts the microphone from her before getting in the face of Papa Shango.
Lawler: Hey Papa. I'm baaaack!
