03/02/94 - O'Neil Center Danbury, CTOkerlund: Welcome Wrestling Fans to Eastern Championship Wrestling; here with you live tonight from the O'Neil Center in Danbury Connecticut. With me as always at ringside is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: Savage versus Brunzell? Gene go fetch my pillow.
Okerlund: You said the same thing in his match against Borne, Lanny. And just look what happened there. Our inaugural match of the night features our women's division and sees the mysterious Manami Toyota take on Luna Vachon.
Poffo: Wait. She still works here?
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Masuda, Japan weighing 150 lbs.; Manami Toyota.
The lights flicker off and mist fills the arena as Manami Toyota appears on stage. Here outfit is a bit more revealing and a strange scar is visible on her back as she makes her way down to ringside.
McGillicutty: And her opponent from Atlanta, Georgia wieghing in at 140 lbs.; and accompanied to the ring by The Lady Alexandra; Luna Vachon.Match: Manami Toyota vs. Luna Vachon After berating her manager Lady Alexandra for a while; Luna Vachon hops up and into the ring. When Davis starts the match she locks up with Manami Toyota; but the match soon turns into a brawl with Luna driving Toyota back into the ropes. When Vachon attempts to whip Manami however; she counters it with a bulldog; planting her opponent to the ring. Running about the ring; she connects with a baseball slide that thrusts Luna under the ropes and out of the ring. Climbing up top; Toyota waits for Vachon before leaping on her; hitting a hurrancanrana on the outside. Lifiting Luna to her feet Manami rolls her into the ring and goes for the pin; getting a two count. Powering out; Luna springs to her feet and takes Toyota down to the ground with a clothesline. When Toyota gets back to her feet she is taken down by the move again before Vachon picks her up and begins pounding on her, before nailing her with a snap suplex. Going for a pin she gets a two count. Angered; Luna drags Toyota back to her feet only to be surprised with a roll-up which gets Manami another two from the ref. Both women back on their feet, they go punch for punch before Toyota circles around Vachon and locks in a sleeper hold. As Luna Vachon begins to fade away; Manami Toyota transitions the sleeper into an elevated double chickenwing wheelbarrow facebuster which takes Luna out; giving Manami an easy pin.
Okerlund: An unbelievable move courtesy of Manami Toyota.
Poffo: Certainly Gene. One would have to suppose that the appearance of Papa Shango in Eastern Championship last week has lit a fire under Manami Toyota. Having told her in no uncertain terms that there would be retribution for her failure here on out.
Okerlund: I have to agree with you there Lanny. Papa Shango is one intimidating character to say the least. Stay tuned folks as our next contest will see two men who've met in the ring before face off in singles compeition as "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch is set to take on "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho after the break.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans to Eastern Championship Wrestling. Tonight's second bout is about get underway.
"Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen plays as Dick Murdoch appears on the ramp and waves his cowboy hat to the crowd.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. On his way to the ring at this time from Waxahachie, Texas weighing in at 277 lbs.; he is "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch.
As Murdoch gets into the ring; "Rock America" by Danger Danger plays as Chris Jericho launches down the ramp.
McGillicutty: And his opponent weighing 226 lbs. from Manhassett, New York; introducing "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho. Entering the ring Chris Jericho takes the microphone from Beulah; but when he attempts to pat her on the ass she moves out of the way.
Jericho: Beulah McGillicutty people. Such a tease. Dick. Dick Murdoch. Well I suppose your mother had you pegged from the star-Match: Dick Murdoch vs. Chris Jericho Dick Murdoch isn't in the mood for Chris Jericho's shenanigans and cuts him short with a hard right before Teddy Long starts the match. Jericho staggers back across the ring and into the ropes as Murdoch begins wailing on him. Kneeing Jericho in the gut; Murdoch nails The Loud-Mouth with a gutwrench suplex and going for the pin gets a two count. Not allowing Jericho to get up; Murdoch begins stomping on him until Chris grabs Captain Redneck's legs out from under him and getting to his feet locks him in a sharpshooter. Murdoch howls in pain until he manages to roll over and kick Chris in the ass, sending him stumbling into the ropes. Jericho recovers quickly however and as Dick gets back to his feet he is taken down again by a huge clothesline; which Jericho follows up with the lionsault. Going for the cover he gets a two count of his own. Lifting him up Jericho hammers on Murdoch's back and neck with hard elbows before whipping him into the ropes and connecting with a diving corkscrew kick. Making the cover; Jericho picks up the victory.
Poffo: Must've been hard for you to root fo anyone in that match Gene.
Okerlund: You've got that right Lanny.
Poffo: Either the bigot or the big mouth. Usually those two aren't at odds with one another as we saw here tonight.
Okerlund: Of course this next match-up will cause no such problem with you Lanny. Given your bias toward Steven Richards.
Poffo: Had you just called Steven Richards an ass I'd be in full agreement. Given that you didn't however; as your wife is so fond of saying; shut up Gene.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring from Montreal, Canada weighing in at 231 lbs.; he is "The Rugged One" Ronnie Garvin.
Garvin is all business and has no intro as he heads down to the ring. Once inside with refree Matt Hyson; "Everyday" by Buddy Holly starts playing and Steven Richards appears from the back.
McGillicutty: And introducing his opponent from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania weighing in a t 215 lbs.; Steven Richards.Match: Ron Garvin vs. Steven Richards Ron Garvin and Steven Richards lock up as the match begins; Garvin almost immediately taking Steven down with a snapmare. Seated on the ground Richards soon finds himself in a rear chinlock. Screaming in pain; Richards manages to squeeze out of the hold and looks for refuge in the ropes. When Ron come after him; Steven delivers a quick kick to Garvin's chest and jumping up begins beating on the old veteran. Garvin recovers quickly and soon is pounding Richards back into the ropes before Irish whipping him across the ring. On his return however Richards surprises Garvin with a lariat takedown. Getting to his feet first Richards attempts to make Garvin submit using the Koji Clutch. Garvin isn't having it and teeth gritted first fights his way to his knees and then gets back to his feet while Richards still has the hold locked in; and nails Steven with a backdrop. Not through with his opponent; The Rugged One lifts him up and begins beating on him before whipping him once again into the ropes. This time when Steven Richards returns Ron Garvin nails him with a huge right hand that knocks him out cold. Going for the cover; Ronnie Garvin picks up the win.As Eastern Championship comes back on air; Eric Bischoff is seated backstage at his desk looking over papers when there's a knock on the door.Bischoff: Yes? Come in.
The door opens and Miss Elizabeth enters followed by The Enforcer Arn Anderson. Bischoff: Liz. What is it Arn?
Anderson: Don't what is it Arn me. You know why I'm here. Last week, out there in that squared circle I beat the World Champ. Beat Macho Man Randy Savage one, two, three. So of course Eric; I'm here for my Title shot.
Bischoff: Sigh. I thought you just wanted Savage in the ring last week. But regardless Arn; you beat him. So I'm going to give it to you. One week from today. Anderson versus Savage. One more time. And I mean it Arn. One more time. If you lose this time I'm not giving you another shot for a while. So don't trouble me with it.
Anderson: You've got it Eric. But I'm not going to need another Title shot. This time out there; The Macho Man is going to give up that belt. I guarantee it. Bischoff: Glad to hear it. And Arn? Just so there's no complaining afterward. This time you two are going to go at it; in a steel cage.
The camera then cuts to ringside with Mean Gene and Lanny Poffo.
Okerlund: That's tremendous news Lanny. The Macho Man Randy Savage to take on The Enforcer Arn Anderson one last time; in a steel cage.
Poffo: Unless of course Arn Anderson wins the Title Gene. Then there'll be a rematch, Regardless this will be one brutal match. Careers have been shortened within the steel cage. Some even ended. If I were these two competitors; winning or losing the belt would be the least of my worries.
Okerlund: I agree Lanny. Getting back to this evening's card however; we're about ready for some Tag-Team action.
Poffo: Honestly I'm not sure who should be more worried in this bout. The Lawlers or Papa Shango's Tag-Team partner tonight; Brickhouse Brown.
Okerlund: Brown definitely drew the short straw here tonight. I don't know how you could trust someone as purely evil as Papa Shango.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. I'd caution everyone involved in this match to watch their backs. Even acting referee Danny Davis.
The Bill Conti Overture starts.
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team Matchup is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Memphis, Tenessee at a combined 456 lbs.; The Lawlers; Brian and Jerry "The King" Lawler.
Smoke fills the arena as Papa Shango appears on stage with Manami Toyota and Brickhouse Brown who is coughing a bit. He wearily eyes his two allies as he makes his way down to ringside.
McGillicutty: And their opponents accompanied by Manami Toyota and weighing in at a combined 590 lbs.; they are the team of Papa Shango and Brickhouse Brown.Tag-Team Match: The Lawlers vs. Brickhouse Brown & Papa Shango Brickhouse Brown starts of the match; locking up with Jerry "The King" Lawler. Brown gets the early advantage capturing Lawler in an armwrench before punching him in the face; taking The King down to the mat. Following it up with an elbow drop and a quick cover; Brown gets a one count. As Lawler gets to one knee Brickhouse begins hammering on him; but when his own partner Papa Shango begins acting weird on the outside; it distracts him. Taking the opening Jerry takes Brickhouse down via an armdrag and continues with a fist drop to the head of his opponent. After stomping on Bown and delivering a knee drop; The King picks up his opponent and goes for the suplex. Brown counters, somersaulting backwards out of Jerry's arms; and landing on his feet hits Lawler with a backbreaker. Going for the pin; he gets a two count before The King powers out. Whipping Jerry into his corner, Brown delivers a huge splash before being tagged out by Papa Shango who comes in swinging. Whipping Lawler into the ropes; Shango delivers a big boot to The King and covering him nearly gets it when Jerry surprises the voodoo priest by limply kicking out. Getting to his feet, Shango begins stomping on Jerry when Brian Lawler interferes leaping from the top rope to connect with a bulldog; planting Shango to the mat. Returning to his corner at Davis' behest; Brian is soon tagged in legally by his father. Running into the ring as Shango gets back to his feet; Brian Lawler hits a springboard crossbody and goes for the pin; getting a one count before Shango powers out hard. Back on his feet at the same time as Lawler; Shango easily overpowers Brian who her chops and elbows down to one knee before whipping him into the ropes and powerslams to the floor. Not through with his punishment; Shango lifts Brian back to his feet and Irish whips him again; only to fall victim to a huge desparation DDT from Lawler. Leaping to his corner; Brian tags Jerry Lawler back in. He immediately begins stomping on Papa Shango; delivering an elbow drop before the big man gets first to one knee and back to his feet. He looks a bit daze; but delivers a huge chop to Lawler that sends him reeling. Staggering to his own corner; Shango makes the tag. Back inside Brickhous Brown begins trading punches with The King, who getting the drop on Brown delivers a sidewalk slam. Brown kicks out at two and blocks a suplex attempt from Lawler; whom he whips into the ropes and hits with a scoopslam. Making the cover; Brickhouse Brown picks up the win. When he goes to his own corner Papa Shango is acting weird again on the apron. Brown looks worried and Shango points toward Jerry Lawler who is still on the ground while Brian comes to his aode.
Shango: Destroy him!
Brickhouse Brown looks over at Lawler and then back at Shango; and shakes his head. Papa Shango looks livid and continues his shenanigans outside on the apron while Brickhouse turns his back on him.
Shango: Obey me!
At this point Brickhouse Brown visibly stiffens and while at first it looked like he was going to help Lawler up; he instead grasps Brian Lawler by the head and tosses him at the ropes; and watches him roll over the top rope and hit the floor below. The lights flash off; and when they come back on both Papa Shango and Manami Toyota are in the ring. Brickhouse Brown now has the same strange scar on his back as Toyota and is standing over Jerry Lawler.
Shango: Destroy him!
At Shango's command Brickhouse Brown begins putting the boots to Lawler and lifting him to his feet throws him into the turnbuckle and begins hammering on The King's face until he busts him open. Holding Lawler up in a double chickenwing; Brown grins menacingly as Papa Shango blows strange smoke into The King's face. Lawler sputters and coughs uncontrollably while the trio in the ring with him laugh. Brown then scoops Jerry Lawler up onto his shoulders before slamming him back to the floor. Manami Toyota is next and hits him with a Japanese Ocean Bomb. Finally; Papa Shango takes the unconscious Jerry Lawler up into his arms and nails him with an inverted shoulderbreaker while from the back Eric Bischoff appears with Matt Hyson, Teddy Long, Arn Anderson, Devon Hughes; and Rick Rude; and make their way down to the ring to help. In the center of the ring Papa Shango lets out a cackle as the lights go off once again. When they come back on he has vanished along with Toyota and Brown. In the middle of the ring Bischoff is joined by Brian Lawler as paramedics are called.Okerlund: That was absolutely uncalled for. Ladies and gentlemen; during the break Jerry "The King" Lawler was rushed to the Danbury Hospital for treatment. We will update you on his condition as soon as possible. But honestly things looked pretty bad. Just what was that smoke Papa Shango blew into The King's face Lanny? And what got into Brickhouse Brown?
Poffo: Voodoo would be my guess Gene.
Okerlund: Oh. I don't believe in that poppycock.
Poffo: But you believe it's alright to say words like poppycock in 1994?
Okerlund: Stuff it Lanny. What we just witnessed was disturbing.
Irish Folk music begins playing as Erin O'Grady appears and throws coins to the crowd.
McGillicutty: The following match scheduled for one fall. Our first challenger hailing from Dublin, Ireland at 212 lbs.; "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady.
Poffo: Poppycock. Seriously?
As O'Grady enters the ring; The Canadian National Anthem begins.
McGillicutty: And his opponent this evening weighing 275 lbs. from Ontario, Canada; he is Canada's Greatest Athlete; "Iron" Mike Sharpe.Match: Erin O'Grady vs. Mike Sharpe As Teddy Long starts the match, Mike Sharpe comes in swinging; but Erin O'Grady dodges behind the big man and rolls him up getting a two count. Kicking out hard Sharpe and O'Grady trade a couple of punches before Iron Mike begins bludgeoning his opponent; whom he takes to the mat with a brutal clothesline. Going for the cover her gets a two count. Angry Sharp lifts O'Grady and begins hammering him until Erin breaks out, hops up and delivers a dropkick which staggers Sharpe backward. Following it up with a drop toe hold; O'Grady plans Mike face first onto the mat before jumping on his back with both feet. Rolling away; Sharpe gets to one knee as O'Grady steps up onto Mike Sharpe's knee and delivers an enziguiri kick to the back of his opponent's head. Rolling the big man over and going for the pin; O'Grady gets a one count. Back on his feet now; Sharpe catches Erin in a massive bearhug, attempting to squeeze the life from him before Erin counters with an illegal eye rake. Dropping his opponent, Mike is pelted with a barrage of punches before he batters O'Grady hard with a huge forearm smash and Irish whips The Leprechaun across the ring. On his return however, Erin O'Grady leaps up and connects with a tornado DDT; cementing Mike Sharpe to the floor; and earning himself the pin.As Eastern Championship returns; Rick Rude's strip theme is head as he appears on the ramp and makes his way down to ringside. Once inside he holds his hand out to Beulah McGillicutty who hands him the microphone. Rude: Cut the music. What I want from all you out-of-shape, drunken, no nothings here in Danbury right now is to be quiet while I select one of these lovely ladies here in the audience to live out one of their wildest fantasies; by removing this robe; the robe belonging to the sexiest man alive... me. Rick Rude. So which one of you ladies is it gonna be tonight? Beulah put your hand down. You already got your chance. So who's it gonna be? You?... You?... You right there. Come on up here.Rick Rude stands and waits as the young woman is led by security through the barricade and up the steps? She stands embarrassed before Rude who turns his back to her.
Rude: Don't worry honey. Rick Rude doesn't care what your name is. He's just here to fulfill every girl's dream. And tonight; it's your turn. Hit the music.
Rude's strip theme plays as the girl removes his robe. As it drops to the floor he turns and scoops her into her arms and kisses her deeply. Suddently Western music is heard; and Rude looks annoyed as he breaks his kiss. After a few moments Black Bart appears on the ramp microphone in hand.Bart: Rick Rude. Rick Rude you think you can keep hiding from me? Claiming week after week after week that you're injured. Poor little pretty boy Rick Rude has a boo boo. Well Black Bart's tired of hearing it Rude. You and me. We've had a score to settle for some time now. And I've come to collect that debt. Right now.
Rude: Woah. Woah. Woah. Beer belly Bart. I can barely remember why you're mad at me. Was it that I slept with your sister? Or your wife? Coure that's usually the same person from where you're from. So I'm gonna cut to the chase. Next week. In this ring. You want me to take out some Texas trash? You got it tubby.
With this Black Bart rushes into the ring and the two men go at it as Rude's latest conquest rushes from the ring. Finally; Black Bart gets the upperhand and clothesline Rude out of the ring. Getting to his feet he wipes his mouth as he backs his way up the ramp while him and Bart yell back and forth at one another.Okerlund: Just before the break we just witnessed a new match signed for next week as "Ravishing" Rick Rude is set to take on "The Outlaw" Black Bart. Lanny I honestly nearly forgot there was even bad blood between those too.
Poffo: You would Gene. Your wife's like a bowling ball---
Okerlund: And what the hell is that supposed to mean?
Poffo: Never mind Gene. If I finished that joke TNN would pull us off the air. Suffice to say you just wouldn't understand how riled a man can get when his wife's a cheat.
Okerlund: For once you're right Lanny. Jeanne would never do that to me. So why would I?
"Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen sounds as The Junkyard Dog appears on the ramp rattling his chain and barking at the crowd.
McGillicutty: On his way to the ring from Wadesboro, North Carolina weighing in at 280 lbs. he is one half of the Tag-Team Deep South; The Junkyard Dog. Devon Hughes' intro starts as he appears on the ramp.
Devon: Testify!
McGillicutty: And his opponent from New Rochelle, New York weighing 280 lbs.; Devon Hughes.Match: Junk Yard Dog vs. Devon Hughes Hyson starts the match as The Junkyard Dog and Devon Hughes lock up. JYD breaks it with a knee to Hughes' stomach before bashing him over the head and whipping him into the ropes. Devon returns to be planted by a big boot courtesy of The Dog and cover by him; kicks out at two. Getting to one knee, Hughes is hit by hard lefts and elbows before fighting his way up and back to his feet delivering a spinebuster to JYD. Before he can even try to cover his opponent however Junkyard is launches back up taking both of them down to the mat with a lariat. The two men struggle with one another on the floor for a while before they both get back onto their feet and start going punch for punch in the middle of the ring. Getting the drop on him however Devon pulls Junkyard in and takes him down with a Russian legsweep before making the cover; getting a one count. Back on his feet first Devon hits an elbow drop and then stomps on The Dog a bit before he gets to one knee. Hughes then begins hammering on JYD until he battles out; pushing Devon across the ring. Junkyard is noticeably irritated now and charges his younger opponent who jumps up and connects with the Lou Thesz press. Seated on top of him Devon begins hammering on JYD until his opponent grabs him and rolls him over. Having changed positions; Junkyard begins battering Devon with hard lefts and rights before busting him open with a huge headbutt. JYD isn't through however and keeps on hitting him until referee Matt Hyson intervenes and pushes JYD off him. As Hyson checks on Hughes however, JYD comes back with his chain and begins beating Devon with it despite Hyson's protests and he calls for the bell disqualifying Junkyard Dog. This only irritates JYD further and he continues to uses stomps and his chain on Hughes until Matt Hyson becomes furious and runs toward the ropes. Junkyard is too wound up to notice as Hyson nails him in the back with a dropkick; sending The Dog through the second rope and down to the floor below. Inside the ring Matt Hyson checks on Devon Hughes who though bloodied seems to be alright. Hyson helps him to his feet.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Eastern Championship as we get set for tonight's Main Event. I'd like to apologize to the folks of all for the mayhem here tonight.
Poffo: No need to apologize Gene. People watch Nascar hoping for a crash after all.
Okerlund: Maybe the people you associate with Lanny.
Poffo: You're forgetting I'm The Genius Gene. Unfortunately I just don't get Nascar; like most people with an I.Q. higher than eighty-five.
Pomp and Circumstance hits as Randy Savage emerges from the back with Debbie Combs in tow. He's wearing the Eastern Championship Belt about his waist.
McGillicutty: The following non-Title Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Sarasota, Florida weighing 237 lbs.; he is the Eastern Heavweight Champion of the World; "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
An annoying buzzing is heard as Jim Brunzell bounces from the back.
McGillicutty: And his opponent this evening weighing 235 lbs. from White Bear Lake, Minnesota; he is one half of The Killer Bees; "Jumping" Jim Brunzell.Main Event: Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Jim Brunzell Starting the match; Danny Davis steps aside as Randy Savage and Jim Brunzell lock up. Savage catches Brunzell quickly in a front head lock. Trying to fight his way out; Brunzell jabs The Macho Man in the ribs several times before using all the strength he can must to lift the Champ into the air and toss him over his head. Randy crashes to the ground, but recovers his foot in time as Jumping Jim charges forward; taking him down with a hip-toss. Savage continues the assault with a delayed elbow drop only to find nobody home as Brunzell rolls out of the way. Grumbling as he gets to one knee Savage soon finds himself in a rear chinlock and when he tries to escape Brunzell smashes Savage face first into the mat. Looking to lift the Champ however; Jim is surprised with a roll-up that gets Savage a two count before Jumping kicks free. Both men getting back to their feet at the same time they brawl across the ring before Macho Man whips Brunzell across the ring; only to have him come back at him with a flying crossbody. Looking for the pin Jumping Jim gets a two count before Savage rakes his eyes. Getting to his feet Randy beats on Jim's head and back before hitting him with a suplex. Looking for the pin Savage gets a near three before Brunzell drapes his foot over the rope. Breaking the men up; Davis looks on as Savage runs in with a high knee; only to get dumped over the top rope by The Killer Bee; who then launches himself out of the ring into a plancha on Savage. Both men tumbling into a heap on the floor; Brunzell gets up first and begins stompning on the Heavyweight Champion; who takes him down with a toehold; which causes Brunzell to fall face first into the guardrail. Back on his feet Randy begins hammering Jumping Jim before rolling him back into the ring as Davis counts to 7. Back inside Randy stomps on Brunzell as he attempts to get to his feet and grabbing him hits him with an atomic drop. Making the cover; Macho Man holds Brunzell down for the pin.
Lights Fade.

03/09/94 - Nassau Coliseum Uniondale, NYOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans. This is Mean Gene Okerlund with you live from the Nassau Coliseum here in Uniondale, New York. With me at ringside of course is my broadcast partner "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. Welcome Lanny.
Poffo: Thanks Gene. It's always good to be back at the Coliseum.
Okerlund: Tonight's tremendous Main Event will see the Eastern Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage go at it one more time with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson; with the Title on the line; in a steel cage.
Poffo: Definitely a match to look forward to. Arn Anderson always brings out the best in Savage; though admittedly that isn't much.
Okerlund: He's standing behind you Lanny.
Poffo leaps around if he's seen a ghost only to find nobody is there.
Poffo: I hate you.
Okerlund: There's a thin line Lanny. Speaking of supernatural; also with us tonight we will see the voodoo priest Papa Shango in singles action against Jim Brunzell.
Poffo: Man that guy can't catch a break. First getting defeated by the World Champ and now this?
The lights dim and smoke fills the arena as voodoo music plays. Papa Shango appears on stage and acts wildly before gesturing to the back. Brickhouse Brown appears visibly changed. He is wearing makeup similar to Shango's and a suit jacket. He has white powder on his chest.McGillicutty: Making his way first to the ring from Wilmington, Delaware at 270 lbs.; he is Brickhouse Brown.
Okerlund: What the hell has Papa Shango done to Brickhouse?
Poffo: I don't know Gene. But I don't like it.
Brown steps into the ring and removes his jacket; revealing the scar on his back. Shango enters the ring and shakes his voodoo staff for the crowd as "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen begins to play and Dick Murdoch appears on the ramp.
McGilllicutty: And his opponent from Waxahachie, Texas and weighing in at 277 lbs; "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch.
Murdoch looks worried as he waves his cowboy hat to the crowd as he makes his way down to the ring. Stepping inside he keeps his distance from both Brown and Shango before taking the microphone from Beulah.Murdoch: 'Scuse me Miss McGillicutty. Now I'd like to have a word with Shaka Zulu here or whatever the hell his name is. See thing is I think he expects all of us God fearin', flag wavin' Americans to just fall to our knees in fear of his hoodoo powers. He thinks ol' Dick Murdoch is gonna just lie flat on his back right there and let him run rampant with all his mystical mumbo jumbo. Well Shaka; Mr. Murdoch ain't havin' it. No sir. Now I don't know what you did to the Brown boy here. But I saw with my own two eyes what you did to "The King" Jerry Lawler. And if you're thinkin' you're gonna make history repeat itself tonight; I've got news for you. I'm gonna send you back where you came from. With that Papa Shango pushes Murdoch down on his ass as Teddy Long steps in to break it up; making Shango leave the ring.Match: Brickhouse Brown vs. Dick Murdoch As Dick Murdoch goes to lock up with BrickhouseBrown; Brown comes in swinging and begins beating on Captain Redneck until he ducks beneath his opponent and knees Brickhouse in the gut. Following it up with a sidewalk slam; Murdoch goes for the cover and when that fails he captures Brown in a rear chinlock. Fighting his way to his feet however; Brown drops back down to nail Dick with a jawbreaker over the top of his head before getting back to his feet and stomping on his opponent. Down on the mat Murdoch manages to get to the ropes and Long breaks the two competitors up. Gettin up to one knee; Dick is immediately assaulted by Brown who hammers on him until he battles out with an elbow. Back on his feet Murdoch goes toe to toe with Brickhouse who whips him into the ropes and grabbing him by the neck with both hands; lifting Captain Redneck off the ground and slam him to the ground. Going for the cover Brickhouse Brown picks up the win. Papa Shango then enters the ring and leans over the fallen Dick Murdoch who is still flattened to the mat; mic in hand. He proceeds to blow smoke into Murdoch face and his victim begins coughing uncontrollably.Shango: Not Chaka Khan... Papa... Shaango...As Eastern Championship returns we see Junkyard Dog with a tissue wiping the voodoo dust off the face of a seated Dick Murdoch.JYD: Damn fool Redneck. You crazy goin' off on that hoodoo man the way you did. Was brave. But you're still a fool.
Murdoch: Yeah, yeah. Make sure you get all this shit off. No idea what it is.
JYD: Or what it could do?
Murdoch: I don't believe no bush buffoonery.
Just then Devon Hughes walks by chatting with referee Matt Hyson. Murdoch: Hey you two!
Hughes and Hyson turn about.
Murdoch: Don't you two bosom buddies go thinking I gone and forgot what you did to my dog now.
JYD: Yeah. We'll be seeing your asses in the ring next week.
Junkyard dog proceeds to bark at them while the camera returns to Okerlund and Poffo at ringside.
Okerlund: That's ridiculous. Matt Hyson isn't a wrestler. He's going to get torn apart.
Poffo: Ask me; it'd be what he deserved. No one asked him to step into the business of Junkyard Dog and Devon Hughes last week.
Okerlund: JYD was going to take Hughes' head off with that chain. Someone had to do something.
Poffo: Says you Gene. Hyson wants to be a hero so bad; next week he's going to learn to take a heroic beating. Not to mention he's a referee. How can he stay impartial when he's buddying up with Devon Hughes?
Okerlund: Oh I get it now. You're wondering if he'll call our next matchup straight down the line. Wouldn't have anything to do with your Tag-Team; The Stevies; having their debut match next would it?
Poffo: As usual Gene you've totally missed the mark. First off they aren't my team. I'm not managing them. And if I did they'd be called The Losers; not The Stevies; because that's what Richards and Blackman are. Losers. As we'll witness yet again here tonight.
Irish Folk music is soon heard as Erin O'Grady appears on stage with Devon Hughes. O'Grady goes to toss some coins to the crowd; but Devon grabs his hand, takes the coins; and pockets them.
Devon: Testify!
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team Match is scheduled for one fall. On their way to the ring at a combined weight of 492 lbs.; the team of Devon Hughes and "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady.
As the duo get in the ring with Hyson, "Everyday" by Buddy Holly plays. Steven Richards soon comes onto the ramp followed by Steve Blackman who gives a martial arts demonstration with his Kendo Sticks.
McGillicutty: And their opponents from Pennsylvania; weighing a combined total of 461 lbs.; they are The Stevies; Steven Richards and "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman.Tag-Team Match: Devon Hughes & Erin O'Grady vs. The Stevies Erin O'Grady starts off the match; moving int to lock up with Steve Blackman. The two men trade a few punches before switching to kicks; and finally Blackman pulls O'Grady toward him hitting him with a knee to the guy before nailing a back bodydrop. Erin shows is resiliency when Steve moves in for a stomp and he already rolls out of the way, jumps up and hits a springboard crossbody of Blackman off the ropes; earning himself a near two count. Powering out, Blackman moves deftly to one knee and takes The Leprechaun down with a legsweep. Climbing on top of him Steve Blackman delivers several punches to the face of his opponent, who grabs Blackman and rolls him over for another near two count. Both men leaping back to their feet, O'Grady quickly takes Blackman down with a clothesline and continues across the ring toward the ropes. Leaping at Steve who is back up on his feet, Erin looks to hit a diving elbow and is surprised when The Silent Assassin catches him in mid-air. Steve lets out a scream before dropping O'Grady into a pendulum backbreaker. Erin screams in pain as his opponent looks to make him submit; but O'Grady is able to connect with a kick to Blackman's skull and slipping away makes a quick tag to Devon Hughes. Blackman is a bit dazed as he stumbles to his feet and is in for more bad knees when Hughes scoops him up and nails a fall-away slam. Going for the pin, Devon gets a two count. Lifting Blackman up to his feet, Devon elbows Steve in the back before whipping him across the ring, On the rebound however Blackman stops short and counters with a kick to Devon's face before hitting him with a headscissors takedown. Moving to his corner he tags Steven Richards in. Lifting Hughes back up to his feet proves to be a mistake for Richards as Devon breaks free and begins hammering on him as they trade punches across the ring. Irish whipping Steven across the ring; Devon nails him with a spinning elbow before making the cover. Richards however kicks out at two. Beating his opponent as Richards gets to one knee, Steven surprises Devon as he fights back and in desperation grabs Devon's head and nails him with a facebreaker over his knee. Springing to his feet before Devon Hughes falls back to the floor; Steven Richards grabs his arm, then his head; pulling him in for a vertical suplex. Making the cover, Hughes kicks out just after the three count is delivered. Rolling out of harms way; Steven Richards joins Steve Blackman on the outside as they celebrate their victory.Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentlemen. Welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling here on our home channel of TNN. Just before the break my broadcast partner "The Genius" Lanny Poffo was proven wrong yet again as The Stevies won their first Tag-Team match here tonight.
Poffo: Yet again? Whatever Gene. But I will say this. It takes a smart man to admit when he's wrong. And being a Genius; I have to say that's never happened. The Stevies won just as I secretly suspected they would.
Okerlund: ...Right. So you still have no plans to manage them?
Poffo: Gene. Gene. I have no idea where you get your intel from; but they're obviously rubes. I never said I wouldn't manage The Stevies. I just wanted to actually see them in action first.
Okerlund: And now?
Poffo: We'll just have to wait and see Gene.
Okerlund: Moving on from revisionist history from "The Genius;" joining us at the broadcast table now to update us on his father's condition is Brian Lawler.
Brian Lawler pulls up a chair and sits backward on it after shaking hands with Lanny and Mean Gene.Lawler: Gene. Lanny.
Okerlund: Welcome Brian. May I just start out by saying the actions against your father Jerry "The King" Lawler perpetrated by Papa Shango and his underlings last week were despicable. Absolutely despicable. What's his condition?
Lawler: Well I'll tellya Gene. My father's been in this business for almost twenty-five years. And he's taken his fair share of beatings. He's fought Curt Hennig, Nick Bockwnkel, Roddy Piper; even our own Heavyweight Champion Randy Savage. My father's a tough guy Gene. He's doing alright. He's bumped. He's bruised. He's a little rattled. But mostly he's anxious to be back in that ring Gene. And that's what Papa Shango should be thinking about. Sure my father's taken his fair share; but he's also given his fair share of beatings. And when he gets back here; all the voodoo in the world ain't gonna save one Papa Shango.
Okerlund: Good to hear Brian. We here at Eastern Championship wish your father a speedy recover.
Lawler: If you don't mind; I'd like to stick around for the next match.
Poffo: No problem at all. Though I have a feeling it may be for one of our competitors. Lawler: You really are a Genius Lanny.
Poffo: Not a Genius Brian. "The" Genius.
The lights then dim and smoke fills the arena as voodoo music is heard. From the back emerges Papa Shango with Manami Toyota in tow.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first at 320 lbs.; hailing from the Depths of Hell; "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango.
Danny Davis keeps his distance as Shango enters the ring. An annoying buzzing is soon heard.
McGillicutty: And his opponent on his way to the ring from White Bear Lake, Minnesota at 235 lbs.; he is one half of The Killer Bees; "Jumping" Jim Brunzell.Match: Papa Shango vs. Jim Brunzell Papa Shango and Jim Brunzell lock up just as the bell rings. A quick elbow leads to Brunzell gaining the upperhand early on as he starts laying into Shango. The voodoo priest quickly recovers however and after going punch for punch for a bit; soon is clearly dominating Jumping Jim. Grabbing his arm, Shango traps Jim in a chickenwing before hitting an atomic drop on the Bee. Going for the pin he gets a one count. Lifting Brunzell to one knee; Papa begins beating on his head and back before lifting him up for a powerbomb; which Brunzell counters with a DDT; laying Shango out. Going for the pin; Jim gets a two count before Shango powers out hard; tossing Brunzell across the ring. Nearly landing on his feet, Brunzell recovers himself quickly and launches back at Shango who nails him with a huge clothesline. Lifting his opponent back to his feet; Papa Shango connects with the inverted shoulderbreaker to put Jim Brunzell away. Shango laughs in delight as Manami Toyota joins him inside the ring. Just then Brian Lawler grabs the chair he's been seated in and heads toward the ring. Toyota sees him and receives a chair to the gut for her troubles; before Lawler nails Shango from behind with it. Shango howls but remains standing as he turns toward Brian Lawler who smashes him across the face with another chair shot. This one knocks the big man to the floor; and Lawler nails him once more before throwing the chair to the side. He yells as Shango a bit before rolling out of the ring. Into the hands of Brickhouse Brown; who grabbing his head; runs Lawler into the steel steps. He attempts to keep on Brian; but Lawler battles back and the two men go punch for punch before Lawler makes his escape up the ramp. Shango meanwhile is back up on one knee and glares at Brian Lawler while Toyota fawns over him as Eastern Champiosnhip cuts to commercial.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans as we get set for a match that has been brewing since our very first broadcast after Black Bart attacked Rick Rude after a match in which Rude defeated both Bart and S.D. Jones.
Poffo: Fact of the matter is Black Bart is a sore loser. In fact the only thing that man could stand to lose is some weight.
Okerlund: Oh come on. This wouldn't have gone on nearly as long had Rick Rude not slept with Bart's wife.
Poffo: That only goes to show the fortitude of the Ravishing One in my book Gene. I mean he slept with her with the lights on. But I have to agree, you mess with another man's woman; you're bound to get the horns. Which of course in the case of Black Bart; is a pair of cuckold's horns.
Okerlund: You're certainly on a roll tonight.
Poffo: Thankfully not on one of Mrs. Bart's fat rolls though.
Okerlund: Keep this up and Black Bart might come gunning for you next Lanny.
McGillicuty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Robbinsdale, Minnesota at 251 lbs.; he is "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude.
Rude's strip music plays as he appears on the ramp and gives the ladies a dance. Their show is cut short however when Black Bart appears from the back and hits Rude with a double axe handle sending him tumbling down the ramp. Lifting Rick to his feet, Bart begins beating on Rick Rude as he drags him down the ramp and tosses him into the ring.Match: Rick Rude vs. Black Bart Inside the ring Teddy Long starts the match as Black Bart continues his assault on Rick Rude. On all fours, Rude leaps up and connects with an uppercut on Bart, before getting to his feet and pushing his opponent away. Now having some breathing room, Rude throws off his robe and begins hammering on Black Bart as he comes back at him. The two men go toe to toe in the ring before Bart Irish Whips Rude into the corner and hits him with a body avalanche. Staggering and dazed, Rude is helpless as Black Bart scoops him up into a back body drop. Going for the cover, Bart gets a near three count. Kicking out, Rude is soon lifted back to his feet and after eye raking The Outlaw; Rick Irish whips him into the ropes and on the rebound rolls Bart up for a two count. Both men leaping back to their feet, The Ravishing One takes Bart down again with a clotheline, before lifting him up and locking in a sleeper. When it becomes apparent Bart isn't fadiing, Rude pushes him away and hits him with a dropkick; hanging Bart up in the ropes. Moving on top of him, Rude receives a back elbow to the eye before Black Bart is back up and hammering on him. Countering with a snapmare, Rude finds himself back in control and begins stomping on Bart before delivering a knee drop to his chest. Lifting Black Bart back to his feet, Rick Rude hits him hard with a back to belly piledriver and goes for the pin. And secures himself the victory as his strip theme once again comes on. Long hands him his robe, which he puts back on.Rude: Wait. Wait. Wait. Cut the music. Now it seems to me that this ol' out of shape Outlaw here, got all riled up because I, Rick Rude, The Ravishing One had a little fun with a certain little lady. Well I know she's here in this very arena tonight. So honey, if you please, come on out. Black Bart's wife makes her way through the crowd and is helped by security to the ring. Once inside she looks down at her husband Black Bart before returning her gaze to Rick Rude who places his hand on her chin.
Rude: Now I'm sure you'd much rather be doing this somewhere a little more private darling, but I feel like a little celebration is in order. So; my robe; if you will.
Rude's strip theme comes back on as Bart's wife disrobes him. Grabbing her into his arms Rude plants a deep kiss on her whil Bart lies unconscious in the middle of the ring.As Eastern Championship returns, voodoo music is playing for a third time as smoke fills the arena and the lights go out. When they come back on Manami Toyota is headed down to the ring with Papa Shango.
McGillicutty: On her way to the ring at this time accompanied to the ring by Papa Shango; from Shimane, Japan at 150 lbs.; Manami Toyota.
Poffo: Man this guy gets around.
Velvet McIntyre's intro sounds as she appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: And her opponent tonight weighing in at 150 lbs., from Vancouver, Canada; she is Velvet McIntyre.Match: Manami Toyota vs. Velvet McIntyre Hyson starts the match as Manami Toyota and Velvet McIntyre lock up. Grabbing Toyota's arm, McIntyre ducks under it and takes her challenger down with an armbreaker before locking in an armbar. Toyota shocks her by kip-upping to a crouched position and kicks Velvet in the face. Getting to her feet Manami stomps on McIntyre a bit before hitting a jumping double knee drop. Rolling away, Toyota lies in wait as McIntyre rises to one knee and charges her, looking for the Shining Wizard. McIntyre however sees it coming and ducks out of the way, leaving Toyota to get herself caught up on the second turnbuckle. Leaving her opponent hanging in a shortened Tree of Woe, Velvet stomps on Manami's face and begins grinding her boot into it. Matt Hyson orders her off; and Velvet gives in at 4. Manami looks disheveled as McIntyre drags her out of the corner and after an elbow to the head, whips her into the ropes. Jumping onto Toyota, Velvet transitions from a wheelbarrow to a bulldog; planting her opponent face first into the mat. Going for the cover she gets a two. Looking to lift Manami again, Velvet gets caught up in a roll-up for two. Both women now back on their feet, they beginning trading punches until Toyota gains the upperhand and whips McIntyre toward the ropes. On the rebound Manami Toyota scoops her competitor up and hits Velvet McIntyre with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for the pin.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans to Eastern Championship Wrestling. I'm Mean Gene Okerlund and with me is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: Well Gene, you certainly must be looking forward to the match about to get underway as "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" is set to get destroyed by the monster known as The Blitzkrieg.
Okerlund: You would Lanny. But though I dislike the Long Island Loud-Mouth; I wouldn't wish the carnage The Blitzkrieg wreaks on anyone. And I'm sure he'll be in rare form tonight.
Poffo: Certainly Gene. Tonight will mark The Blitzkrieg's first appearance since The King of the Mountain Event exactly one month ago. In that match Blitzkrieg eliminated an astonishing twelve competitors before being eliminated himself by Rob Van Dam; with help from Doink the Clown and Matt Hyson.
Okerlund: If I were these three men I'd keep an eye out in the future as Mangler's Monster returns tonight.
Poffo: I'd do more than keep an eye out. In my opinion these three men would be better off retiring right now.
"Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein sounds as The Baron Von Raschke appears on the ramp followed by The Blitzkrieg.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. On his way to the ring accompanied by The Baron Von Raschke; weighing in at 323 lbs. from the Republic of Germandy; "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg.
The two men head down to the ring where Raschke snatches the microphone from Beulah's hand.Raschke: Danke Fraulein. You're dismissed. I've heard the rumors. Rumors only stupid Americans would believe. Tales of how at The King of the Mountain; The Blitzkrieg, Mangler's Monster, Adolf's Apostle; was destroyed. Brought down. Put under by Rob Van Dam. Mr. Wednesday Night. Rubbish. Lies. Perpetrated by ignorant fools. The Blitzkrieg was robbed. Blinded. Hit from behind. By lowly cowards. A rabble-rousing ref bent on revenge, a cartoon character clown with no business in this ring; and the worst transgressor of them all. Rob... Van... Dam. Three fools. Three dead men. For as you see before you; The Blitzkrieg has returned. Returned from mass destruction abroad with one thing. One goal in mind. Revenge.
"Rock America" by Danger Danger sounds as Chris Jericho appears on the ramp. He begins making his way down to the ring.Jericho: What's this? Is the sound system busted? No intro for "The Long Isand Loud-Mouth?" "The Nuisance from New York?" Ah. I see what it is.
Hopping up on the the apron; Jericho enters the ring.
Jericho: I see Colonel Von Klink has arrived with his dim-witted lackey Sgt. Schultz. Do you wish to silence, to keep the grandeur that is Chris Jericho from his millions upon millions of Jerichoholics? Perhaps; you're looking for that fool Hogan? Last I heard he's still slumming it over in the WWF. If they're still around that is.
With this Jericho smashes his microphone over the head of Von Raschke, who falls to the ground with a hiss and rolls out of the ring.Match: Chris Jericho vs. The Blitzkrieg Davis starts the match as The Blitzkrieg grabs Chris Jericho by the neck and lifts him in the air. Jericho delivers chops to the massive forearms of his opponent to little effect, before kicking the giant in the gut. Blitzkrieg grunts as he drops Jericho, who immediately slides threw the big man's legs and grabbing Mangler's Monster's shoulders leaps up and knees him in the back. The Blitzkrieg stumbles back a step before turning about, delivering a huge clothesline to Jericho. The big man then stomps on Jericho's chest before making the cover. Jericho kicks out at two. Lifting his opponent to his feet, The Blitzkrieg is surprised when Jericho smacks him away and gets off several punches before springboarding off the ropes and nailing The Blitzkrieg with a huge dropkick. The Blitzkrieg stumbles a bit before recovering and grabbing The Long Island Loud-Mouth begins hammering on him. Whipping him into the turnbuckle; The Blitzkrieg charges into the corner and nails Chris Jericho with a big boot, knocking his lights out. Going for the pin; The Blitzkrieg picks up the win. Entering the ring; Baron von Raschke stomps on Jericho's inert body a couple times before signalling for his charge to follow them as they make their way to the back.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen as we get set for tonight's huge Main Event; as "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson challenges "Macho Man" Randy Savage for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship; in a Steel Cage.
Poffo: These two men have faced one another before Gene and with each subsequent encounter things have gotten even more heated, more dangerous. Tonight they meet in a Steel Cage. Now I'll go on the record to say no matter who you are, a Match of this type shortens your career. The human body can only withstand so much punishment; and steel is just unrelenting. If either of these men isn't careful; this could very well be the end of either competitor's career.
Okerlund: No doubt Lanny.
Pomp and Circumstance sounds as Macho man Randy Savage appears on the ramp with Debbie Combs.
McGillicutty: The following Steel Cage Match is for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship and can only be won by by escaping the cage; either over the top or through the door; and having both feet touch the arena floor. Introducing first from Sarasota, Florida at 237 lbs.; accompanied to the ring by Debbie Combs; he is the Eastern Heavyweight Champion; "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Anderson's music starts as both he and Miss Elizabeth appear on the ramp. Randy meanwhile enters the ring alone after giving Debbie his coat and hands Teddy Long the Title after posing with it for the crowd.
McGillicutty: And his challenger accompanied to the ring by Miss Elizabeth; from Rome, Georgia, weighing in at 255 lbs.; "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson.Main Event: Randy Savage vs. Arn Anderson Teddy Long has Randy Savage and Arn Anderson shake hands before starting the match. The two grapplers immediately lock up, The Enforcer overpowering Savage whom he pushes backward. Randy immediately comes back swinging and the two men begin brawling around the ring. Driving Anderson into the corner, Savage connects with a high knee smash; but taking Arn by the back of the head and ramming him face first into the cage. When he looks to hit him again, Anderson battles out with a back elbow and whips The Macho Man across the ring. On his way back however; Savage nails Anderson with a lariat takedown. Headed to the corner; Randy begins scaling the cage. He isn't halfway up however when The Enforcer is back up and throws him back down. In control now Anderson begins stomping on Savage before nailing him with a knee drop. Lifting his up, Arn hammers Savage for a bit before hitting him with a snapmare and another knee drop. Leaving his opponent; Arn heads toward the Cage door and tells Long to open it. The ref isn't paying attention however as Debbie Combs is busy distracting him. Turning toward the cage in frustration; Anderson runs into a clotesline courtesy of the Champ, who begins stomping on Anderson while using the ropes for leverage. Jumping up into the air; he lands on AA with both feet before picking him up to his feet and running him across the ring toward the cage. Arn catches himself on the top rope however, leaving The Macho Man to collide with the unforgiving steel. As Savage reels backward, Arn scoops him up for a back bodydrop. This time it's Anderson's turn to climb the cage. He doesn't get to far however as Randy Savage leaps onto his back and locks in a sleeper hold. When the two compeitors fall back onto the mat, it is Savage who takes the brunt of the fall; but he refuses to let go of the sleeper and locks Arn in a bodyscissors for good measure. Arn screams and grabs the ropes to no avail as he begins fading off. He suddenly goes limp and after looking his opponent over, Randy releases his hold and poses for the crowd; before heading toward the Cage door as fast as he can. Teddy Long opens the door as Savage comes over to him and Combs outstretches her hands to him as Anderson begins to groggily stir. Just as victory looks to be his however, Long is pushed from behind against the Cage door; closing it. Behind him is Miss Elizabeth; who taking the key locks the door and holding it up to Savage; sticks it in her dress. Randy begins stomping his feet in anger as Debbie Combs leaps on top of Elizabeth attacking her. Savage's tantrum is cut short however when he is hit from behind by a double axe-handle. He turns and looks into the face of Arn Anderson in shock as he is nailed to the floor with a spinebuster. Arn looks over at the brawl between Combs and Elizabeth on the outside before deciding to climb the Cage. He is about two thirds of the way up when Savage hazily gets back to his feet and eyeing Anderson; with cat-like agility scales up to meet him. Hanging on with one hand each; the two men begin trading punches on the cage; before Anderson slugs Randy in the gut and then in the face; knocking him back down to the floor. The Enforcer has no time to celebrate however as he loses his own grip and falls to the floor. Randy is immediately on top of Anderson and begins kicking him in the head before lifting AA to his feet and hitting a vertical suplex. Outside the ring Miss Elizabeth has escaped from Combs and is heading up the ramp; leaving climbing over the Cage the only option left to Arn and Savage. Picking Anderson back up to his feet; Randy whips Arn into the ropes and nails him with a flapjack hard. Leaping to his feet afterward; The Macho Man flexes for the crowd before pointing toward the top of the cage. Making his way to his escape, Randy begins climbing and reaches the top. Before he is able to sling his leg over however; the cage is jolted hard as Arn Anderson rushes into the cage and delivers a huge flying shoulderblock to it. Up top Savage loses his grip and teeters on his feet for a minute before plummeting to the floor below. Getting back to his feet it's obvious Anderson has hurt himself as he heads over to Savage and delivers a knee drop before painfully lifting the Champ to his feet. Gritting his teeth as sweat pours down his face; Anderson hits a DDT; putting Savage's lights out. He is favoring his shoulder as he staggers toward the cage and begins to climb. He makes it past the ropes. His face a mask of pain. He nearly loses his grip as he reaches the middle of the cage and looks down below and he regroups and heads upward. Finally Arn spits out a sigh of relief as both his hands reach the top of the cage. He growls as he pulls himself up. Meanwhile down below Randy has rolls over and gotten to one knee. He stumbles to his feet as Anderson pulls his large body up the cage. He's pulled his head and chest over the cage top when with a burst of energy The Macho Man scales the cage, gaining ground quickly. Up top Arn Anderson doesn't see Randy Savage coming as he leaps up and over the Cage; at the same time grabbing Anderson's head in a hair-pull hangman over the Cage top. Anderson's neck and head hit the steel hard as he drops backward into the ring. Macho Man meanwhile falls down the outside, grasping at the cage as he plummets to the ground. Finally he catches it and wrenches his arm as he hangs on the Cage for a few moments before dropping the rest of the way to the ground; landing on his feet for a second before collapsing on his ass. Debbie Combs rushes over to her man while from the back Miss Elizabeth flies down the ramp with the Cage key in her hand; followed by Eric Bischoff, Matt Hyson, Danny Davis, Rob Van Dam; and Devon Hughes. Frantically opening the door with Long, Elizabeth rushes to Arn Anderson's side and she begins to cry.
Lights Fade.

03/16/94 - Knickerbocker Arena Rome, NYOkerlund: Hello ladies and gentlman and welcome to Eastern Championship Wrestling; live with you tonight from The Knickerbocker Arena here in Rome, NY. With me tonight is the ol' ball and chain; "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: You're the one who proposed Gene. And tonight "Ravishing" Rick Rude will be involved in one hell of a Main Event; wherein he takes on "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho. Now Gene for those fans without the memory of a gnat; you don't need to be reminded. For the majority of you though; in our third broadcast; Chris Jericho was eliminated by Rick Rude in the Heavyweight Tournament, in large part due to interference from The Outlaws Black Bart and Ron Bass. I'm sure The Loud-Mouth is anxious to perhaps settle that score and prove he's one of the best in the business.
Okerlund: That's a tall order for that... young man from Manhasset, New York indeed Lanny. And one I hope he won't be able to cash. Also tonight, we will be hearing from Miss Elizabeth on the condition of Arn Anderson; as well as seeing the Tag-Team Champions The New Orient Express take on Lanny's boys; The Stevies.
Poffo: Don't get me started on that one Gene. Can we say Squash Match?McGillicutty: Our first contest is a non-Title Match scheduled for one fall. Making her way to the ring first from Dallas, Texas at 130 lbs.; she is the Woman's Champion; Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore.
Jackie appears on the ramp and waves her cowboy hat to the crowd before making her way to the ring.
McGillicutty: And her opponent this evening from Atlanta, Georgia weighing 140 lbs. and accompanied to the ring by The Lady Alexandra; Luna Vachon.Match: Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore vs. Luna Vachon Luna berates Alexandra before hopping into the ring. Hyson starts the match as Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore locks up with Luna Vachon, whom the Champ soon takes down with a hiptoss followed by a dropkick to the back of the head. Pulling Vachon to a seated position; Jacqueline locks in a headlock. Luna howls in pain before powering up onto her feet and leaping back, nailing Jackie to the ring. Going for the cover; Luna gets a near two before Jackie powers out. Lifting her opponent to her feet, Vachon throws her to the ropes and hits her hard with a spinbuster on the return. Attempting the pin again, she gets a two count. Pissed; Luna stomps about the ring and argues with Hyson for a bit before returning to Moore who is now back on her feet and nails Vachon with a hard right hand. The two women begin brawling about the ring, until Jacqueline catches Luna in a backslide, getting a two. Luna is immediately back up and is soon taken down by a clothesline from Jackie. Lifting Luna Vachon, Jacqueline Moore hits a delayed vertical suplex and gets the win.As Eastern Championship returns, we are taken to Southside Hospital where Miss Elizabeth is seen visibly shaken. The camera pulls back and we see that she is on the big screen.Okerlund: Hello Miss Elizabeth. We're all very concerned here at Eastern Championship. What's the status of Arn Anderson? Is he okay?
Elizabeth: Gene. You saw what that... that piece of human garbage Randy Savage did to Arn. It was horrible. He could've won that match without resorting to what he did. But he wanted to hurt him. And... And I'm ashamed to say I ever loved him. But when you get between him and that Title... well-- He's a monster Gene. I see that now. Luckily though Arn's going to be okay. The damage to his neck. That move off the Steel Cage. It looked much worse than it was. Thank God. Arn's awake and talking, but his neck's been badly sprained. He's talking about returning next week Gene. But I don't think it's a good idea.
Okerlund: Certainly not Liz. You tell The Enforcer to take care of himself.
Poffo: And that if he comes back he's an--- Eh, never mind.
Elizabeth: Thank you guys. It was hard seeing him like that. But Arn just wants all the folks in that arena and at home to know; he's doing okay. And when he gets back in the ring there'll be-- heck to pay.
Okerlund: Well thank you Liz for the update. It's good to hear The Enforcer is doing well after that hellacious attack on his livelihood at the Coliseum last week.
Poffo: I doubt Arn Anderson said "heck" Gene. Miss Elizabeth may be a looker, but the accuracy in her reporting skills seem to be lacking.
Okerlund: I'm sure those weren't The Enforcer's exact words Lanny. But Elizabeth is far too much the lady to use off-color language.
Poffo: Eh. I like my women like my martinis Gene. Dirty.
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team Match is scheduled for one fall. Making their way first from the Dixie States at a combined total weight of 557 lbs.; they are the team of Deep South; Dick Murdoch and The Junkyard Dog.
Before making their way to the ring, JYD riles up the crowd with some barking and Murdoch waves his hat to the crowd.
McGillicutty: And their opponents weighing in at a combined 430 lbs.; Devon Hughes and Matt Hyson.Tag-Team Match: Deep South vs. Devon Hughes & Matt Hyson Dick Murdoch starts things off with Devon Hughes, who after the initial lock-ups; overpowers Hughes with a barrage of punches, driving him into the ropes; and Irish whips him across the ring. Upon his return however, Murdoch nails Devon with a bionic elbow and proceeds to take his stunned opponent down via a clothesline. Going for the cover, Murdoch gets a one count. Back on his feet Dick keeps on Devon who struggles first up to one knee and then to his feet where he and Captain Redneck begin trading punches across the ring. Ending up in Deep South's corner ends badly for Devon who is grabbed from behind by Junkyard Dog who holds Hughes back while Murdoch works him over. Tagging in, JYD and Murdock nail Devon with a double flapjack and Junkyard makes the cover. Devon kicks out at two and attempts to crawl to his corner. Junkyard has other plans however and grabs his opponent's leg; only to have Devon flip over and deliver a kick to his temple. Junkyard staggers back while Hyson makes the tag. Quickly climbing the turnbuckle, Hyson connects with a missile dropkick on The Dog and goes for the cover. He gets a near three before Murdoch breaks the cover with an elbow drop. Staying in the ring, he helps Junkyard up and Deep South puts the boots to Hyson. Lifting him up; they nail a double suplex. Junkyard Dog is happy with himself as he makes the pin; only to be angered when Hyson kicks out at a near three. Lifting his much smaller opponent up, JYD beats on him before whipping him for a powerbomb; only to have Matt counter with a hurancanrana which leaves The Dog hung on the second rope. Running toward the big man, Hyson jumps feet first onto Junkyard's back; choking him; before leaping back off. In pain JYD grabs his neck and runs to his corner for the tag; knocking Hyson on his ass when he attempts to stop him. Back in the ring, Murdoch begins wailing on Hyson, who gets up and is knocked back down with each subsequent punch. Finally Dick Murdoch kicks Matt Hyson in the gut before nailing him with a Brianbuster; which earns Captain Redneck the pin as Davis counts to three.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and genrlemen to Eastern Championship Wrestling; as always on our home channel of TNN The Nashville Network.
McGillicutty: Scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring now from Elwood City, Pennsylvania at 243 lbs.; he is "The Maniac" Matt Borne.
Once Matt Borne is inside the ring "Paradise City" by Guns N Roses plays. Okerlund: Now here's a young man we don't see often.
Poffo: I'd hardly call Matt Borne a young man Gene.
Okerlund: Not Borne; Poffo.
Poffo: He's 37.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Westbrook, Maine weighing in at 209 lbs.; he is "The Superstar" Scott Taylor.Match: Matt Borne vs. Scott Taylor Matt Borne gets the early edge once Long starts the match after an elbow to the head following the lockup. Scott Taylor falls back as Maniac Matt begins buldgeoning him back toward the ropes where he looks for a back body drop. Taylor counters however by flipping over Borne's shoulders beforer delivering a thrust kick to Borne's back. Whipping Matt into the ropes; The Superstar takes Borne down with a two handed bulldog and connects with a jumping elbow drop before looking for the pin; which he doesn't get as Matt kicks out after one. Keeping on Maniac as he gets to his feet, Taylor punches him before hitting him in the face with one knee and then nails him with a double knee lift. Borne staggers back, but doesn't fall; and catches Scott as he comes in too close with a punch and nails him with a DDT. Borne goes for the cover, and growls angrily when Taylor kicks out at two. Lifting The Superstar to his feet, Borne nails him in the back with several hard elbows; before lifting him into the air and running into the corner; powerbombs his young opponent onto the top turnbuckle. Dragging the unconscious Scott Taylor to the middle of the ring; Matt Borne goes for the easy pin and gets it.
Poffo: Too bad for young Steve Taylor.
Okerlund: Scott Taylor.
Poffo: Steve, Scott; same thing.
Okerlund: Whatever. We now go back to the ring where the Eastern Tag-Team Champions, The New Orient express join us.
Inside the ring Mr. Fuji takes the microphone from Beulah McGillicutty roughly while Taka Michinoku and Yoshihiro Tajiri stand by with their Titles draped over their shoulders.Fuji: Thank you Ms. Gutty. We need no introduction. You are dismissed. Rome, New York consider yourself blessed. Blessed with honorable prescence of New Orient Express. Now Mr. Fuji hear rumors. Rumors spread by vicious, jealous, deceitful Americans like those here before me today in Rome, New York. Hahaha. Lies about how New Orient Express doesn't defend Titles. Are not fighting Champions. Well tonight New Orient Express prove you yellow, cowards wrong. Tonight we burn Rome to ground. Hahaha. As New Orient Express does battle with fine example of American talent and skill, against number one contenders; The Stevies; here tonight.
Okerlund: This is unbelievable. Everyone here knows The Stevies while fine athletes; are far from being the number one contenders for the Tag Championships.
Poffo: Dare I say it? Are you implying that "my" Stevies suck?
Okerlund: I didn't say that. They're both very talent young men; but--
Poffo: Just not Championship material?
Everyday by Buddy Holly sounds as Steve Blackman and Steven Richards appear on the ramp. Blackman gives a small martial arts performance before they head down to the ring.
Fuji: And their opponents in Title Match from somewhere on this cruddy North American continent and weighing as much as your typical fat Americans; they are The Stevies; Steve number 1 and Steve number 2. Tag-Team Title Match: The New Orient Express vs. The Stevies Steve Blackman and Yoshihiro Tajiri start things off as Matt Hyson begins the match. The two men trade a variety of kicks wowing the crowd before Blackman nails Tajiri with a bridging German suplex and goes for the pin getting a two count. Tajiri kip ups and sends Blackman really with a roundhouse kick to the face before taking him down with an armdrag he transitions from a wheelbarrow. On the ground Blackman is hit by an elbow drop followed by a springboard moonsault courtesy of The Japanese Buzzsaw. Steve powers out at two however when Tajiri makes the cover and after taking several punches from Yoshihiro while on one knee; smacks the Tag Champ away; and leaps to make the tag to Steven Richards. Climbing the turnbuckle, Richards leaps off and onto the shoulders of Tajiri; brining The Buzzsaw down and slamming his head into the mat. Climbing onto his fallen opponent; Richards applies The Koji Clutch. Tajiri looks like he's about ready to tap when Taka Michinoku springs in for the rescue and breaks the hold with a running knee to Richards' head. As the ref orders Michinoku from the ring, Tajiri quickly sits up and sprays Steven Richards with a face full of Asian Mist. Richards screams in horror as Tajiri quickly moves and makes the tag to Taka. Michinoku looks to stop Richards from escaping as well; but at the last second he finds Steve Blackman and tags him in. The two men collide hard in the middle of the ring as Blackman nails Michonku with a lariat takedown. Both men remain down when the ref begins a ten count. He doesn't see Mr. Fuji sneak over to Blackman however and reach his hand into his pocket, looking for his throwing salts. Fuji however is thwarted when he is grabbed from behind by Lanny Poffo; who punches The Devious One before following it up with a DDT. With Fuji now laid out, Poffo returns to his seat as Blackman gains his footing and walking over to Taka lifts him up and delvers several knee strikes before hitting a pendulum backbreaker. Going for the pin; Taka kicks out at two. Blackman quickly moves in to retain his advantage only to receive an uppcut from the Champ. Michinoku then runs back into the ropes and uses the momentum to nail a hurrancanrana takedown on the challenger. Going up top; Taka Michinoku lies in wait for a dazed Steve Blackman to rise before nailing him with a flying crossbody press; which gets him the win.
Okerlund: Now Lanny. Just what the Hell was that?!
Poffo: I have no idea what you're insinuating Gene.As Eastern Championship Wrestling returns we follow Matt Hyson down a hallway and after a knock into the office of Eric Bischoff. Hyson: You wanted to see me Mr. Bischoff?
Bischoff: Ah. Matt. Sit down. Sit down. Now you may be asking yourself what you're doing out here. And I'm going to just cut to the chase, I saw you out there in the ring today with Devon Hughes. Not bad. Not bad. So how did it feel to be out there in the middle of the action?
Hyson: Mr. Bischof, I have to admit it's crazy out there.
Bischoff: Yeah I figured a guy your size would have to be crazy to get into the ring. So Matt, this is what I'm going to do for you. Your duties as a refree are suspended effective immediately. And you're being added to the active roster.
Hyson: But Mr. Bischoff; I--
Bischoff: Now, now. No need to thank me Hyson. Goodbye.
Matt Hyson looks worried as he gets up and goes to exit the office.
Bischoff: Oh. And Matt?
Hyson: Yes Mr. Bischoff?
Bischoff: Do something about the name.
The camera returns to ringside with Mean Gene and Lanny Poffo.
Okerlund: Big career change for Matt Hyson folks.
Poffo: You said it Gene. That sounds like a life changing event to me.
Okerlund: How so?
Poffo: For Hyson? From being alive; to dead. Don't get much bigger than that. If he needs a name; how's about Dead Meat?
Okerlund: Moving on to our next match--
Poffo: Roadkill?
Irish Folk Music sounds as Erin O'Grady appears on the ramp and tosses some gold to the crowd from his cauldron.
McGilliciutty: The following Match is scheduled for on fall. Introducing first; hailing from Dublin Ireland at 212 lbs.; he is "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady.
Once O'Grady enters the ring; the lights go dark. The them get a little brighter and voodoo music plays as Papa Shango appears on the ramp hovering over a cauldron. He is followed to the ring by Manami Toyota and Brickhouse Brown.
Okerlund: Something tells me it isn't gold in that cauldron Lanny.
Poffo: Indeed.
McGillicutty: And on his way to the ring at 320 lbs. because Hell couldn't hold him; accompanied to the ring by Manami Toyota and Brickhouse Brown; he is "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango.Match: Erin O'Grady vs. Papa Shango Papa Shango is up to his usual tricks as he holds out his cauldron to Erin O'Grady; who looks inside and turns green. It looks like he may puke until Danny Davis takes the cauldron from a reluctant Shango; who nails O'Grady with a hard forearm behind the refs back. Davis starts the match when he turns and sees Papa already beating his opponent across the ring and knocks him into the ropes. Whipping The Leprechaun across the ring, Shango looks for a big boot; but is instead pulled down by a legdrag by his opponent. Still holding Papa's leg; O'Grady puts him in a leglock. The Soul Stealer howls in pain before bringing his knee into the smaller man's back to escape the hold. Shango hobbles a bit, but back on his feet he begins stomping on Erin; whom he lifts up into the air with both hands by the neck and slams down into the ring. Going for the cover; Papa looks shocked when O'Grady kicks out at two. Lifting Erin to his feet; Shango nails him with hard rights and lefts; before lifting his punching bag into the air and hitting the inverted shoulderbreaker. Going for the pin; he picks up the victory. With this; Brickhouse Brown enters and on one knee hands over the steaming cauldron to Papa Shango who begins his voodoo ritual over O'Grady. Danny Davis moves in to stop whatever is going on; but is grabbed and held tight by Manami Toyota as he is forced to watch as Shango spills the contents of the cauldron over Erin O'Grady's head. They aren't pretty.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Eastern Championship Wrestling, live from the Knickerbocker Arena. Before the break we witnessed Papa Shango poor some strange substance over the head of Erin O'Grady. What do you think that was Lanny?
Poffo: Couldn't tell you. But I think I coughed up something similar during a rough night of drinking once.
Okerlund: Lanny. You're a Genius. I can't picture you of all people doing such a thing.
Poffo: Yeah; well I never claimed to have always been a Genius Gene. Like many of the alcoholics in this arena; I did my fair share of partying before sobering up. So remember kids; drink responsibly.
Okerlund: Um. I don't think that came out right.
Poffo: Really?
Debonaire by Dope plays as Rhino appears on the ramp and makes his way down to the ring.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring from Detroit, Michigan weighing in at 270 lbs.; Rhino.
"Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein sounds as The Blitzkrieg arrives on the ramp followed by Baron Von Rachke.
Poffo: What is this Halloween? Shango, that masked idiot Rhino; and now The Blitzkrieg?!
Okerlund: Rhino no longer wears the mask Lanny. Poffo: He doesn't?
McGillicutty: And his opponent in this bout scheduled for one fall; accompanied to the ring by The Baron Von Raschke, weighing 323 lbs. from The Republic of Germany; he is "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg.Match: Rhino vs. The Blitzkrieg Rhino doesn't look phased by The Blitzkrieg at all; and when referee Teddy Long starts the match; he comes at the big man swinging. Blitzkrieg falls back a few steps before recovering his footing and grabbing Rhino by the head; clubs him with a huge forearm. The Blitzkrieg then begins beating Rhino down to the ground until he falls back onto the ropes and Davis breaks them up after a few stomps from Mangler's Monster. Back on his feet, Rhino charges The Bliztkrieg, connecting with The Gore. The giant falls back into the corner while Rhino once again comes in swinging. After several minutes The Blitzkrieg grabs Rhino and trades places with him; hammering Rhino into the corner. Finally he lifts Rhino up onto the top turnbuckle and climbing up top himself; The Blitzkrieg delivers a superplex; laying Rhino out. Blitzkrieg is slow to make the cover afterward, but has no problem putting his opponent away anyway.
After the ring is cleared; Pomp and Circumstance hits and "Macho Man" Randy Savage emerges from the back with Debbie Combs in tow. It's obvious from Savage's movements that he is still sore from the week before. He has the Eastern Heavyweight Title still draped over his shoulder. As Eastern Championship returns; Savage is receiving alot of heat from the crowd. Savage: Shut yer yaps, shut yer yaps. I'm tired of hearing all the whining. All the crying. Yeah. Macho Man Randy Savage is mean. Macho Man Randy Savage is cruel. Macho Man Randy Savage is merciless. A "monster." Well you know what? You're right. Macho Man warned Arn Anderson, "The Enforcer" yeah. I warned him. Told him. Arn Anderson you're too old. Too weak. Too has-been. Told him to quit while he was ahead. While he still had one. Heh. Dig it. But The Enforcer didn't listen. Didn't want to see Savage was being kind. Oooh no. "The Enforcer" thought he could just bring it to The Macho Man yeah. Well he learned. Learned something everyone in this here business learned at one time or another. Yeah. Hogan, Flair, Roberts all learned it. Time and time again. You just don't mess with The Macho Man. Dig. Or you end up hurt. And that's just what lesson ol' AA learned last week in this here very ring. He tried to get between The Macho Man and what was his. The Eastern Heavyweight Championship of this World dig. And he got just what they all got. Put down, put out; and sent back to the minor league. You all say Macho Man went too far. Well all The Macho Man has to say to you. And to anyone who wants to get between him and this Title; is simply this. Next?
Okerlund: Strong words from The Macho Man Randy Savage this evening and seemingly with little regret for trying to end Arn Anderson's career; maybe even his life.
Poffo: Not just words Gene. I don't remember I've seen Randy Savage this fired up. He's seemingly obsessed with keeping the Eastern Championship and in my opinion is willing to do anything to anyone who gets in his way to keep it.
Okerlund: He's a sick man Lanny. What he did last week was just reprehensible.
Poffo: I agree Gene. But Savage is right in he did warn "The Enforcer" to back off. And after what we witnessed last week; that may've been the best course of action for AA.
Okerlund: With that folks; we're about to get underway for tonight's tremendous Main Event.
Poffo: I don't say this often; but I've been looking forward to this Match all evening. McGillicutty: Ladies and gentlemen; tonight's Main Event Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Manhasset, New York weighing 226 lbs.; he is "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho.
Thunderkiss '65 by White Zombie plays as Chris Jericho appears on the stage with his arms out to his side; and proceeds to swagger down to the ring. Once inside he poses inside until Rick Rude's strip theme hits. Rick Rude appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: And his challenger this evening from Robbinsdale, Minnesota weighing 251 lbs.; he is "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude.
Rude does his dance for the ladies before high fiving a few fans. He stops in front of one audience member; and signals for his to remove his robe. When she does; he pulls her over the balcony and slips her some tongue. She swoons and he continues down the ramp. He gets inside the ring to find Chris Jericho waiting for him.Jericho: Well, well, well. If it isn't Mr. Sexy. Mr. Ladies Man. Well it's impressive. The way the ladies swoon. How they just hop in the ring to play tonsil hockey. But now it's time to wrestle you Human Hormone and that means you've just stepped in the ring with the most--Rude: Overrated. The most overrated windbag this company has to offer? If that's what was about to escape your filthy, whiny lips; then you have my full agreement. But if it's anything else; it's just hot air to cover up the fact you're no match for the most "Ravishing" man in wrestling; Rick Rude.Main Event: Chris Jericho vs. Rick Rude Long starts the match as the two men collide in a volley of fists in the middle of the ring. Overpowering Jericho, Rude whips him across the knee and connects with a high knee; before nailing his opponent with a backbreaker over his knee for two. Lifting The Loud-Mouth up; Rude drags him over to the corner while beating on him; finally climbing the turnbuckle as he drags Jericho up. His opponent has other plans however as Chris fights his way free and nails a DDT from the second rope, laying Rude out. Getting to his feet; Jericho looks to make the cover getting a one; before picking Rude up and after dropping him with a snapmare, goes for the lionsault. Rick however has him scouted and treats Chris to a ribcage full of knees. Up on his feet Rude hits a DDT of his own and gets a near three count before Jericho reaches out and grabs the bottom rope. Teddy breaks them up and as Jericho uses the ropes to get back to his feet, The Ravishing One charges him; only to be dumped over the side. Jericho watches his enemy hit the floor below and hangs onto the top rope for a while, catching his breath. When Rick groggily gets back to his feet however, Chris hops up onto the top rope and lands a double axe handle on the outside. Both men are on the ground when Long begins the 10 count. Jericho gets back to his feet first and stomps Rude for a bit before lifting him up and whipping him at the steel steps. Rude however holds tight and counters with a whip of his own; sending Jericho into the steps shoulder first. Grabbing Jericho by the feet on the outside; Rude slingshots his young opponent into the steel turnbuckle count; before rolling back into the ring. Chris appears out of it while Long counts to 7; but from the audience an over anxious fan in a cowboy hat hops the barrier. It's Black Bart! Lifting Jericho; he tosses The Loud-Mouth back into the ring just before the 10 is delivered. Rude points toward Bart and exhcanges a few words with him before making the cover on Jericho. Chris kicks out just before th three. Annoyed; Rude lifts Jericho up; only to be slapped away by his opponent who with a burst of energy runs back toward the ropes and takes The Ravishing One down with a huge dropkick. Back on his feet in a flash; Jericho sprinboard moonsaults off the second ropes and this time connects; but only gets a two count. Both men are visibly tired but it is Rude who finds his feet first and begins hammering Jericho who is on one knee. Chris fights his way drunkenly to his feet and they begin hammering one another yet again before Rude Irish whips Jericho across the ring. He looks to connect with a clothesline; but Jericho surprises him with a sunset flip for two. Rude counters the flip with an inside cradle for two, before Jericho counter the cradle with a small package for two; and finally with his feet on the ropes; Rude covers Jericho for another two before his feet are thrown off the second rope by Black Bart who is still lurking on the outside. Rude gives Bart a lingering dirty look before turning into a sidewalk slam courtesy of Jericho who nearly picks up the win. Falling back to rest on the ropes after getting to his feet, Rude delivers a boot to the gut of The Loud-Mouth as he charges him. Chris Jericho doesn't fall however; and spins on one foot as Rick Rude catches him from behind and hits the Rude Awakening. Going for the pin yet again; he finally gets the hard fought win. Weary from his bout; Rude gets to his feet and has his hand raised high by Teddy Long; just moments before he turns to leave and is hit with a lifting side slam from Black Bart.
Lights Fade.

03/23/94 - Brendan Byrne Arena East Rutherford, NJOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to Eastern Championship Wrestling; live with you tonight from The Brendan Byrne Arena right here in East Rutherford, New Jersey. I'm Mean Gene Okerlund and with me as always is my partner "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: Thank you Gene. He never buys me flowers. In tonight's big Main event; "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho is set to take on "The Soul Taker" Papa Shango's flunky Brickhouse Brown.
Okerlund: That might as well be a handicap Match Lanny.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. You'll get no argument for me on that one. The members of The Dark Circle play anything but fair; as I'm sure we'll witness here tonight.
Okerlund: Opening tonight's show however "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin is set to take on the monster only known as The Blitzkrieg.
Poffo: That's right folks. Get ready for a slaughter.McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first hailing from Montreal, Quebec, Canada at 231 lbs.; he is "The Rugged One" Ronnie Garvin.
Garvin appears on the ramp with no music plays and adjusts the towel he has on the back of it neck as he makes his way to the ring. Once he's inside "Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein sounds and Baron Von Raschke appears on the ramp followed by his charge; The Blitzkrieg.
McGillicutty: And his opponent accompanied to the ring by The Baron Von Raschke; weighing 320 lbs. from The Republic of Germany; he is "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg.Match: Ronnie Garvin vs. The Blitzkrieg Danny Davis starts the Match and it's obvious from the start Rugged Ronnie Garvin isn't backing down as The Blitzkrieg plods toward him. Garvin comes in swinging with little effect. When The Blitzkrieg swings back, Garvin ducks under his mammoth arm and connects with a knee to the gut of Mangler's Monster who grunts in pain. When Ronnie goes for a second knee, he is thrown backward into the ropes by the angered Blitzkrieg. Using his speed to his advantage, Garvin somersaults behind the big man and looks to deliver a suplex. Though one foot of The Blitzkrieg leaves the ring for a second, it's obvious he weighs too much for The Rugged One to lift; so Garvin settles for a punch to Blitzkrieg's kidneys which elicits a second painful grunt. Turning about into Garvin; The Blitzkrieg takes his opponent down with a snapmare followed by a jumping leg drop. Pulling Garvin back to his feet, The Blitzkrieg powerbombs Ronnie Garvin to the floor and goes for the pin; picking up another win.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome back to Eastern Championship. We just witnessed Ronnie Garvin give a valiant effort against The Blitzkrieg.
Poffo: If by valiant; you mean losing effort; then I am inclined to agree.
Okerlund: We're about set for some Tag-Team action ladies and gentlemen; as Deep South faces off against a new Tag-Team hear at ECW; one that Lanny has a vested interest in.
Poffo: I know not of what you speak.
Okerlund: You interfered on their behalf last week, stopping "The Diabolical One" Mr. Fuji from throwing salt into the eyes of Steven Richards.
Poffo: It was Steve Blackman you dolt. But that's beside the point. I loaned the "Diabolical One" $20 the other week and he failed to pay me back. The only vested interest I had was for my lapdance fund.
Just then "Everyday" by Buddy Holly plays as Steve Blackman and Steven Richards appears on the ramp. Blackman gives a short Kendo Stick display before they make their way down to the ring.
McGillicutty: Making their way to the ring at a combined weight of 461 lbs.; from Pennsylvania; they are the team of Steven Richards and "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman; The Stevies.
The duo enters the ring and Blackman gives a silent thumbs up to Lanny Poffo, who shrugs as "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen sounds and Dick Murdoch and Junkyard Dog make their way out as usual.
McGillicutty: And their opponents this evening weighing in at a combined 557 lbs.; they are the team Deep South; The Junkyard Dog and "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch.Tag-Team Match: The Stevies vs. Deep South Junkyard Dog starts things off with Steve Blackman when Long begins the match. JYD almost immediately finds himself on the receiving end of several kicks and a handspring elbow which knocks him to the ground. Making the cover, Blackman only gets a one count before Junkyard powers out and grabbing Blackman by the head picks them both up to his feet. Throwing his opponent against the ropes, JYD delivers punches and chops to The Silent Assassin before whipping him across the ring and connecting with a big boot. Covering him, Blackman kicks out at two. Lifting Blackman back to his feet, The Dog flips him for a powerbomb; only to end up hammered to the mat himself when Blackman counters with a vicious DDT. Moving to his corner Blackman then tags in Steven Richards; whom Blackman hiptosses onto JYD. Richards goes for the cover and gets a two count. Steven then tries to lift The Dog to his feet and when he is unable to; he locks in a full nelson on the floor. JYD recovers himself however and battles out with several elbows to escape and makes the tag to Dick Murdoch. Inside the ring Murdoch swings and misses Richards who ducks under and connects with a side Russian legsweep. Looking to make the pin, he fails when Dick kicks out at two. Steven nails his opponent with an elbow drop and then a fist drop before going upstairs. Leaping off with a moonsault; Richards find nobody home when Murdoch rolls out of the way and getting to his feet hits a jumping leg drop on Steven before picking him up to his feet where he nails a piledriver. As Dick goes for the pin, Blackman enters the ring to break the cover; only to be stopped by JYD; whom he battles while Captain Redneck picks up the win. Junkyard Dog clotheslines Blackman out of the ring and Deep South get their hands held high in victory.Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentlemen; and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling right here on our home channel of TNN. We'll be hearing an update on Arn Anderson later tonight, but first we'll witness some fiesty female action as Leilani Kai gets set to take on the masked mystery woman La Diabolica.
Poffo: Gotta love a woman with a little kink Gene. Also this match will be mark the debut of S.D. Jones in his new role of referee here at Eastern Championship. Good luck Mr. Jones.McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Making her way to the ring first from Honolulu, Hawaii at 161 lbs.; she is "The Hawaiin Princess" Leilani Kai. Kai appears on the ramp and is all business as she makes her way down to the ring accompanied to Hawaiin music.
McGillicutty: And her challenger this evening from Mexico City, Mexico weighing 130 lbs.; La Diabolica.Match: Leilani Kai vs. La Diabolica S.D. Jones starts the match as La Diabolica locks up with Leilani Kai. Diabolica almost immediately leaps up onto the shoulder of Kai and takes her down with a headscissors. Diabolica then collects with a diving elbow drop before lifting Kai to her feet and going for a suplex. Kai however battles out with a hard fist to the gut and delivers a suplex of her own to her masked opponent. Kai follows the up with several stomps and a kneedrop to La Diabolica whom she then lifts and whips before hitting her with a diving foreaem smash. Going for a cover, Kai gets a two before Diabolica reverses it and gets a two count of her own. Both women leaping back to their feet; La Diabolica drops Leilani with a standing dropkick; but when she moves to lift Kai she is taken down to the mat herself by a deep armdrag. Keeping hold of her opponent's arm, Leilani Kai applies first an arm wrench before dropping down for an armbar. La Diabolica howls in pain for several moments before tapping out, giving Kai the win.
Okerlund: What a match folks. We're just getting word that "The Enforcer" Arn
Anderson is about to join us via satellite from his room in Southside Hospital. the camera pans to the big screen which is black. After a few moments it kicks on and we see Arn Anderson seated on a hospital bed, hooked up to machines; and wearing a neckbrace. Miss Elizabeth is standing beside him. Okerlund: Hello Arn. It's good to see you. As well as you Miss Elizabeth.
Arn: Thank you Gene. You too Poffo. It's good to be here. Well not here; but you get the idea.
Okerlund: Undertood Arn. Just what's your condition if I may ask. It's safe to say you gave us here at Eastern Championship and the folks at home a good scare two weeks ago tonight.
Arn: Well Gene. You could say I'm a lucky son of a bitch. I mean really; when I hit first the cage against my throat and then fell all that way down to the mat below I thought I was a gonner. I'm not gonna lie Gene. It scared me a little. But luckily other than a few minor tears to some muscle tissue and some bumps and bruises; I came out of that ordeal relatively unscathed.
Okerlund: We're sincerely glad to hear that Arn. We feared the worst and are glad to learn we were wrong. Now as I'm sure you're aware Arn; there's likely one man who isn't going to be too happy with this news. Of course I'm talking about "The Macho Man" Randy Savage.
The Enforcer chokes a bit.
Arn: Excuse me Liz. Could you be a dear and get me a glass of water?
Elizabeth: Sure Arn.
Arn Anderson watches as Miss Elizabeth exits the room.
Arn: I'm going to tell you something Gene. While I may have been lucky colliding with that steel and falling 15 some odd feet to the floor below; and making it out alright. There's one man whose luck has been just about used up. And I'm talking about that son of a bitch Randy Savage. I heard what he said last week. "Macho Man" likes hurting people huh? Well Gene. I'm generally a fairly nice guy. But if that yellow, coward of a World Champ thinks I'm gonna take this sitting down he's got another one coming to him. Hurt people he says? Well let me tell you Gene. Once the doctors clear me to step foot in that there ring again; I'm gonna put a world of hurt on Randy Savage. And I don't care if it's for the belt. Hell I don't even care if I'm given a Match. Randy Savage had better realize he's being put on notice. The second I'm able to Randy; I'm coming right for you. You can bet on that.
Poffo: I certainly don't envy the situation the Eastern Heavyweight Champ has put himself in Gene. I can't remember seeing AA this fired up.
Gene: Nor have I Lanny. There's one thing to be sure of. Next time Arn Anderson and Randy Savage meet; there's going to be hell to pay.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Entering the ring first at 235 lbs.; from Parts Unknown, Minnesota; John Oliver Burr.
A masked man comes out of the back and waves to the crowd.
Poffo: Who the Hell is this twit?
McGillicutty: And his opponent making his way from Detroit, Michigan and weighing 270 lbs.; Rhino.
Poffo: My "Genius Senses" are tingling Gene.
Okerlund: And what're they telling you?
Poffo: That Rhino just may get the victory here tonight.Match: John Oliver Burr (Jim Brunzell) vs. Rhino Davis starts the match as John Oliver Burr locks up with Rhino. Rhino easily overpowers Burr whom he begins wailing on before going to whip him. John oliver however counters and whips the big man into the ropes; but Rhino connects with a sidewalk slam on the rebound. Going for the cover he gets a two count. Lifting Burr to his feet; Rhino whips him hard into the corner before charging in with a big boot; which he misses as John hops up top and connects with a sunset flip which gets him a one from Danny. Rhino is furious as he hops back up to his feet and begins pummeling Burr; who retreats back to the ropes; before coming back swinging. Rhino charges forward however and connects with The Gore, flattening John Oliver Burr; and going for the pin gets the job done.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans to Eastern Championship Wrestling. Just a note to the Fans watching at home in the Pennsylvania; tickets go on sale today for our April tour dates where we will be returning to both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Also in April we'll be hosting our first shows in Ohio. So be sure to get them now as tickets sell out fast.
Poffo: Very true Gene. This isn't the UWF after all.
Okerlund: Getting set for our next match; we'll witness some Tag-Team action wherein Jerry "The King" Lawler is set to make his return after a vicious beating at the hands of Papa Shango and his Dark Circle cronies weeks ago.
An annoying buzzing assaults the arena as The Killer Bees appear on the ramp.
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team Match is scheduled for one fall. Making their way to the ring first at a combined weight of 457 lbs.; they are The Killer Bees; "Jumping" Jim Brunzell and B. Brian Blair.
Once the Bees are in the ring; The Bill Conti Overture sounds as Jerry Lawler appears with his arm in a sling. He is walking with the aide of a cain and waves to the crowd.
After a moment he is joined by Brian Lawler and Scott Taylor.
McGillicutty: And their opponents accompanied to the ring by Jerry "The King" Lawler; weighing a combined 422 lbs.; they are The Lawlers; Brian Lawler and "The Superstar" Scott Taylor.
Poffo: Since when is Steve Taylor a Lawler?
Okerlund: Scott Taylor has was a childhood friend of Brians and Jerry thinks of him as a son Lanny. I thought you knew everything.
Poffo: I do know everything. Everything important.
The Lawlers come down to ringside and walk around near the announcing table before Brian and Scott hop up onto the apron.
Okerlund: Jerry! Jerry! Can we have a word? How do you feel?Lawler: About as good as I look Gene.Tag-Team Match: The Killer Bees vs. The Lawlers (Brian Lawler & Scott Taylor) Brian Lawler and Jim Brunzell start things off as Long starts the match. The two men immediately charge one another and Brian falls victim to a gutwrench suplex. Running back into the ropes; Brunzell connects with a dropkick as a dazed Lawler gets to his feet and going for the cover gets a two count. Brian rubs his head as he gets to one knee as Jumping Jim begins hammering him. Lawler catches the third punch however and twisting Brunzel's arm behind his back locks him in a chickenwing before pushing his opponent forward and hitting a two-handed bulldog. Back on his feet Brian nails a jumping leg drop before rolling Brunzell over for the pin; getting a two count. Lifitng Brunzell to one knee, Brian begins punching him in the head until Brunzell counters with an atomic drop and makes the tag to B. Brian Blair; who launces at Lawler whom he hits with a flying headscissors takedown. When B. Brian looks to capitalize however, he is taken down with a toehold by the junior Lawler; who jumps on Blair and begins hammering him until the Killer Bee rakes his eyes. Getting back to his feet hits a sitout three-quarter facelock jawbreaker on Brian Lawler and makes the cover. The match is saved by a diving elbow drop from Superstar Scott Taylor who enters illegally and follows it up with a stomp to Blair who rolls away. Getting back to his corner when instructed to by Long; Taylor is then tagged in by Lawler. As Scott charges him, Blair looks to take out The Superstar with a clothesline, but his young opponent ducks the swing, runs into the ropes; and hits a Tornado DDT on the rebound. Looking for the pin; Taylor gets a near three count. Back on his feet again, Scott somersaults onto the Bee and makes another cover, getting a two. Looking to lift Blair to his feet, Scott is taken by surprise in a headlock and brought down to the mat by Blair who locks in a sleep hold. Scott attempts to battle out of it; but once some damage seems to be done it is Brian who breaks the hold and picks Taylor up for a Northern Lights Suplex with bridge; which gets him the win. When Eastern Championship Wrestling returns Rick Rude's strip theme is playing as he struts about the ring in is robe.Rude: Cut the music. What I want right now is for all you to toxic waste spewing Jerseyites to do is listen along with that fat hick Black Bart to what I; the sexiest man alive; has to say. Now I realize Bart's got a problem with me. And I'm not going to lie, cause I know the reason. It would be hard not to be jealous when you're a hairy, out-of-shape hog of man like Black Bart. I mean the guy's probably entertained as many ladies a George Michael. And now look at me. The pinnacle of perfection. When Michaelangelo sculpted David, it's obvious he had Rick Rude in mind. Now with that; I'm gonna do something I know Bart'll hate. I'm going to select one of the lovely ladies in this here audience to remove my robe. So who's it gonna be? You?... You?... You. Yeah. Right there honey, now come on up here and get ready to have your life fulfilled.
Security helps the brunette Rude pointed to over the guard rail and into the ring. Rude then turns his back to her.
Rude: Now hit the music.
As the music begins to plays again and Rude dances a bit, the woman removes his robe only to be swept into Rude's arms. He kisses her deeply. Just then Black Bart appears from out of the crowd with a noose in hand and jumping up on the apron attackes Rude from behind. Rick Rude however is waiting for him and pulls a lead pipe from the woman's purse and swinging around cracks Black Bart in the head with it knocking him out.
Okerlund: What type of woman carries a lead pipe in her purse?
Poffo: Well she does live in Jersey.
Okerlund: Wait. What's this?
In the ring; the woman pulls off a brrunette wig revealing blonde hair underneath. Okerlund: Why that's--- That's--Poffo: Velvet McIntyre. Great deduction my dear Gene. It would appear "Ravishing" Rick Rude set up "The Outlaw" Black Bart here tonight.
Rude exits up with ramp with his arm draped around McIntyre's shoulder while Teddy Long and S.D. Jones come down to ringside and helps Bart out of the ring.
Okerlund: Bart's going to be fuming when he realizes what just went down. Moving on to our next Match which looks like it's about to get underway.
"Dangerous" by Loverboy plays as the masked man Dangerous appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one falls. Introducing first from Parts Unknown, New Hampshire weighing 230 lbs.; he is "The Masked Marvel" known simply as Dangerous.
Poffo: This town Parts Unknown seems to be a breeding ground for these masked weirdos. Perhaps he should form a tag-team with that Burr character.
Okerlund: Careful Lanny or you'll be not managing two tag-teams.
Poffo: --- Yeah. Forget I said anything.
McGillicutty: And his challengers from New Rochelle, NY weighing in at 280 lbs.; Devon Hughes.Match: Dangerous vs. Devon Hughes S.D. Jones refs as Dangerous and Devon Hughes locks up. Devon breaks off and begins wailing on Dangerous who gets a few punches in before Hughes delivers a hard headbutt that plants Dangerousd on his ass. The masked man scrambles to his feet as Devon grabs him and tosses him into the corner. Charging forward; Devon collides with the turnbuckles when Dangerous moves out of the way and counters with a roll-up which gets him a two count. Devon kicks out hard and receives several kicks from his masked opponent before being whipped across the ring. Waiting for Hughes to return he connects with an armdrag, taking him down to the mat. Devon quickly springs back up only to be taken down by a second armdrag. Dangerous keeps on top of Hughes as he gets back to his feet and punches the bigger man in the face before Irish whipping him once more. On the rebound, Devon takes Dangerous down with a leaping shoulderblock; before lifting him and hitting a powerbomb for the pin.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome back to Eastern Championship as we get set for tonight's Main Event where "The Long Islan Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho is set to take on Brickhouse Brown.
Poffo: Love him or hate him; and we know where you stand Gene; The Loud-Mouth is one hell of an athlete as he proved in last week's Main Event Match with "Ravishing" Rick Rude.
Okerlund: Certainly Lanny. Though one would have to wonder if the odds will be against him tonight in this contest with Brown who will undoubtedly have both Manami Toyota and their master Papa Shango in his corner.
Poffo: With The Dark Circle involved; it's a certainty that voodoo shenanigans will be afoot Gene.
"Thunderkiss '65" by Rob Zombie hits as Chris Jericho pours out from the back. McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring from Manhasset, New York at 226 lbs.; he is "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho.
Jericho hops in the ring and takes the microphone from Beulah.Jericho: Beautiful as always Beulah. But what is it with the booking on this show?! Now this may just be me; but last week; last week I'm Main Eventing against "Ravishing" frickin' Rick Rude. Which makes sense. Someone of my skill, my natural charisma, my how shall we say it; my certain je ne sais quoi; should be headlining sold-out arenas night after night after night. But this week? This week you're gonna throw me up against Buckwheat? Buckwheat?! Now, now I know what you're going to say. "Jericho. He's Voodoo Buckwheat." And all I can say to that is; I don't care if he's Voodoo Buckwheat! Hell he could be Easter Bunny Buckwheat. Santa Buckwheat. Sweet Jesus Buckwheat up on a cross for all I care. I'm still facing frickin' Buckwheat at the end of the day.
With that voodoo music plays and Papa Shango appears on the ramp with Birckhouse Brown and Manami Toyota in tow. Jericho tosses the mic back to Beulah.McGillicutty: And his opponent tonight weighing in at 270 lbs. from Wilmington, Delaware; Brickhouse Brown.
Shango enters the ring with Brickhouse and takes the microphone from a scared
Beulah. Shango bends forward over Jericho.
Shango: You're. Not. Funny.
Just then "Poundcake" by Van Halen interrupts them and Rob Van Dam appears on the ramp with the Intercontinental Title draped over his shoulder and a mic in his hand.RVD: Dudes. Dudes. Look I'm not here to dispute your claims that Jericho isn't funny. You're entitled to your opinion. Whatever. And Shango; your boy there is from Wilmington, Delaware; so I believe you when you claim you're from the Depths of Hell. I've been there. It's true. But I was sitting back there with Mongo and the Hyson kid; and I felt myself developing a pretty good case of ring rust. So being I'm "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob... Van... Dam I figured I'd come out here and put this here Title up on the line. See if either of you have what it takes to be the Intercontinental Champion. So what say we make this a triple-threat. Cool? Cool? I knew you dudes would agree.
With this Rob Van Dam runs down the ramp and slides into the ring and leaping up he begins punching both Jericho and Brickhouse.Intercontinental Title Match: Chris Jericho vs. Brickhouse Brown vs. Rob Van Dam Davis forces Shango from the ring as Rob Van Dam connects with a jumping wheel kick on Brickhouse Brown which knocks him down to the floor. RVD's luck runs out however when Jericho comes in from behind, locks him in a double chicken wing and lifting him up slams him to the floor. Brown is back up and taken back down the the mat via a thrust kick from The Loud-Mouth before Chris hits a springboard moonsault on Van Dam who gets his knees up in time to counter. Jericho rolls away in pain while Brickhouse Brown lifts RVD to his feet and levels him with several punches before whips him into the ropes. Rob Van Dam however counters with a springboard crossbody off the ropes and nails Brickhouse with it for a two count before Jericho breaks the pin with a diving double axe-handle. Falling off Brown, Rob grabs Jericho's head between his feet and squeezes as he pulls him up to his feet, giving Brickhouse the opening to lift Jericho up on his shoulders and nail him with an electric chair drop. Going for the cover, Brown almost gets a one count before Van Dam punches him in the face and covers Chris himself for a two count before The Loud-Mouth kicks out. Brown is back on his feet and hits Van Dam with a snapmare; only to be stunned when RVD lands on his feet and hits him with a spinning heel kick. Jericho then schoolboys Van Dam and gets a two count on him before Van Dam grabs him and rolls him up for a small package which is broken at two by a boot from Brown. Lifting Van Dam to his feet, Brown begins beating on him and knocks him into the ropes when Jericho hits him from behind with a spinning heel kick which sends both men out of the ring to the floor below. Chris stays inside the ring to catch his breath while on the outside RVD lifts Brown up and begins pounding on him against the guardrail. When he moves to throw Brown back inside; Jericho charges toward them and lands a tope dive; sending all three men tumbling on the floor outside. Jericho is the first to stir and gets to his knees and one knee; only to see the visage of Papa Shango before him. Jericho moves to block; but still receives a big face full of Voodoo mist which causes him to scream out loud and then seemingly pass out. Up on his feet Brickhouse picks up Rob and hits him with several elbows to the back of his head and neck before whipping him hard into the steel steps. He then rolls RVD back into the ring and lifting him to his feet whips his dazed opponent across the ring. Upoon his return however; Van Dam hits a hurrancanrana on Brown, tossing him to the floor. Running back into the ropes; Rob Van Dam connects with the Rolling Thunder and going for the pin gets the three count before Papa Shango enters the ring to stop him. RVD quickly rolls out of the ring and lifting Chris Jericho to his feet helps him backstage; while keeping on eye on the angered Dark Circle who have taken over the ring.
Lights Fade.

03/30/94 - Boardwalk Hall Atlantic City, NJOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans ands welcome to Eastern Championship Wrestling; joining you live tonight from Boadwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. With me here at ringside as always is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. Welcome Lanny.
Poffo: Thanks Gene. Looking forward to tonight's Main Event in which longtime rivals "Ravishing" Rick Rude will take on "The Outlaw" Black Bart. If I were a betting man Gene, I'd say ol' Bart is set for another upset.
Okerlund: Well you're certainly in the right place. Are you laying odds that Black Bart will defeat Rick Rude here tonight?
Poffo: No. No Gene. You've misinterpreted what I was saying. Unusual. What I meant was I'd wager Black Bart will be leaving Atlantic City here upset. With another loss here tonight.
Okerlund: Well that remains to be seen.
"Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen plays as Junkyard Dog appears on the ramp rattling his chain and barking at the crowd.McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring first from Wadesboro, North Carolina at 280 lbs.; he is one half of the Tag-Team Deep South; The Junkyard Dog. The Dog gets in the ring and barks at Teddy Long when the Bill Conti Overture is heard. McGillicutty: And his opponent entering the ring at this time accompanied by Jerry "The King" Lawler; from Memphis, Tennesse at 213 lbs.; Brian Lawler. Match: Junkyard Dog vs. Brian Lawler The second the bell rings Junkyard Dog chargs into Brian Lawler and nails him with a huge foorearm. Still reeling from the blow, Brian is beaten into the ropes and whipped across the ring by The Dog who hits him with a spinebuster for a two count. Getting back to his feet JYD begins stomping his opponent who reaches for the ropes in desparation, not even coming close; before finally rolling out of the ring. Outside the ring Lawler catches his breath on one knee as Jerry comes to check on him. When Junkyard comes over to yell at him while still inside the ring; Brian jumps up and grabs his head to hit a hair pull hangman. While The Dog staggers back, Brian climbs the turnbuckle from the outside and connects with a missile dropkick from the top. Going for the cover he gets a near three count on JYD. In control now, Brian begins stomping and then hammering on JYD as he gets to one knee. Lifting his opponent for a vertical suplex; Lawler is caught by surprise by a huge jawbreaker over the head of Junkyard; who then hits him hard with a gorilla press slam for the three. As Eastern Championshi returns we see Eric Bischoff filling out paperwork at his desk when "Maniac" Matt Borne startles him by bursting into his office. Borne: Eric! Eric. Mr. Bischoff. I've got something I want from you here tonight.
Bischoff: Jesus Matt. What is it?
Borne: A Title shot Bischoff. Now I know last time I got one; I let the dozens and dozens of little Maniacs down. But this time Bischoff, this time I swear I'll take "The Macho Man" Randy Savage down. I'll strip him of that belt and become the World Heavyweight Champion. What do you say?
Bischoff: Sigh. I tell you what Matt. If you win your Match tonight; you've got it.
Borne: Who's it against?
Bischoff: Oh. You'll see.
Borne: Thank you. Thank you Mr. Bischoff! You'll see I won't let you down. Not this time. Not here tonight.
Borne exits the office just as abruptly as he arrived. Bischoff returns the writing before he begins chuckling to himself.
Bischoff: What an idiot.
We then return to ringside with Mean Gene and Lanny Poffo.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Making her way to the ring accompanied by the Lady Alexandra at 140 lbs.; from Atlanta, Georgia; Luna Vachon.
Luna storms down the ramp with Alexandra trying to keep up behind her as Voodoo music sounds. The lights go dark and mist fills the arena. On the ramp Papa Shango appears with Brickhouse Brown and his pet crow as he makes his way down to the ring.Okerlund: I'm no expert. But that's not Manami Toyota.
Poffo: Let it not be said that anyone ever got one past you Gene. Perhaps "The Dark Lord" has some business with Miss Vachon.
Okerlund: I think that's probably one of the few times she's been referred to as that Lanny.
Poffo: What, Vachon? That's her name Gene.
Inside the ring Luna Vachon is yelling at Papa Shango, who is up to his usual voodoo shenanigans on the outside. He then gestures to the ring and his pet raven flies onto the top turnbuckle. Suddenly there is a flash of smoke and the lights go out. When they come back on Manami Toyota is crouched on thr turnbuckle and the raven is gone. Luna and Alexandra look on stunned as Toyota leaps off the turnbuckle and lands a flying crossbody on Vachon.Match: Luna Vachon vs. Manami Toyota Going for the pin, Manami Toyota gets a two count from referee S.D. Jones on Luna Vachon just as the match starts. Luna powers out and getting to her feet takes Toyota down hard with a lariat takedown. Kneeling on the mat, Luna begins beating on Manami whom she soon lifts to her feet and body slams. Covering her, Vachon gets a two count before Manami kicks out and battles free with an elbow to the face. Back on her feet, Toyota goes for the ropes and connects with a springboard corkscrew kick on Vachon, dropping her for a two count. Lifting her back to her feet however proves to be a mistake for Manami as Luna blocks the Ocean Suplex and begins hammering her opponent and they trade punches and chops across the ring. Whipping Toyota across the ring, Luna connects with a knee to the gut of Manami on the rebound before heading upstairs for a Lunasault. At the last second however Manami Toyota rolls clear of the moonsault as Luna Vachon catches nothing but canvas; and lifting her dazed opponent into the air; Toyota nails the Japanese Ocean Suplex for the win.
The camera than cute backstage where Devon Hughes is playing cards with Matt Hyson. Devon: So small-fry; what're we going to do about that name of yours? Matt Hyson just has no ring to it. No catch. Certainly not the handle that screams future Champion that's for sure.
Hyson: I dunno Devon. I don't think I'm cutout to be a wrestler.
Devon: Why's that? Cause we lost the other week? Forget that. Being a wrestler isn't just about winning. It's about sticking with it. Dogging it out. Rome wasn't built in a day and all that. Wait a second. I've got it. That's spikey hair of yours? We'll call you Spike. Like a dog. The ultimate underdog.
Hyson: Spike Hyson? Sounds like Mike Tyson.
Devon: Testify. We don't want that. That dude's crazy enough to bit your ear off or something. heh. How's about Spike Hughes?
Hyson: The Hughes Brothers? Sounds like the Blues Brothers?
Devon: Now that I can dig. Blue Brothers are cool. But the world isn't ready for what The Hughes Brothers will wrought. Besides; not like we'd have to worry about Dan Akroyd busting our asses. Testify my brother.
Hyson: Heh. Testify.
The two men give one another five.Thunderkiss '65 by White Zombie is playing as Eastern Championship returns. Chris Jericho is already swaggering down the ramp. McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring from Manhasset, New York at 226 lbs.; he is "The Long Islan Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho.
Okerlund: Well it would appear your team The Stevies have some new competition in Eastern Championship's Tag-Division Lanny.
Poffo: First off; they aren't my team. And secondly what competition? These Hughes Brothers characters are probably the one team The Stevies could beat. I mean Hyson was barely an efficient ref, let alone a fighter.
Okerlund: Easy there Lanny. No need to get defensive.
Poffo: Shut up Gene.
Jericho hops up into the ring and takes the microphone from Beulah, whom he blows an obviously unwelcome kiss. Jericho: Thank you my little sex-kitten. I've got this. And his opponent this evening, from some rathole in Canada, weighing 200 plus pounds; he's old enough to be my grandpa; "The Ragged One" Ronnie Garvin.
Ronnie Garvin emerges from the back and makes his way down to the ring. He hops in and grabs the mic from a stunned Jericho.Garvin: Lemme tell you something. I've been accused of alot of things over the years. I'm old. A cheat. Has-been. Boring. Whatever. One thing I've never been accused of is a chatter box. You. Chris Jericho. You talk too damned much. Now you ask me. It's plain to see why. Last two weeks. You've lost. Defeated by Rick Rude. Rob Van Dam. Brickhouse Brown. To name a few. But still you're out here every night. Yapping. Running your mout. And for what? To hide the simple fact you're a loser. Always will be. And you don't quit running your mouth right now; I'm gonna knock you out.
Jericho: Wha-- Match: Chris Jericho vs. Ronnie Garvin Danny Davis starts the match as Ronnie Garvin slugs Chris Jericho with a hard left fist that flattens him. Garvin goes goes for the pin, but Jericho kicks out after two. Lifting his opponent up Garvin works over Jericho's neck and back before seating him with a snapmare and locking in a rear chinlock. The Loud-Mouth looks like he is about to fade when he cries out and grasps the forearms of Rugged Ron whom he kicks in the gut as he turns about and gets up to his feet. Jericho immediately follows up with a delayed vertical suplex which gets him a one count from the ref. Lifting Garvin to his feet, Chris is surprised when Ronnie slaps him away and the two men begin trading punches in the middle of the ring. Ronnie then grabs Jericho's arm and wrenches him in for a knee to the gut; before planting him with another snapmare. Jericho grits his teeth in pain as he finds himself in a second rear chinlock which he is unable to wiggle free from. Finally he struggles and grasps for the second rope and Davis break the hold. Garvin is on him immediately and begins stomping Jericho's ribs as he uses the rope to climb to his feet. Finally he delivers a vicious knife edge chop to Garvin. Taking the advantage he begins hammering on Garvin until The Rugged One grabs his fist and whips him across the ring. On his return, Jericho is hit with a hiptoss before being lifted to his feet and Irish whipped again. This time however The Long Island Loud-Mouth surprises Garvin with a hurrancanrana which sends the old grappler tumbling to the mat. As he gets back up to one knee, Ronnie is greet with a dropkick from Jericho, sending him back to the floor. Leaping on Garvin, Jericho begins punching his opponent mercilessly until Ronnie slams him hard with a headbutt that sends Jericho reeling backward. Jumping to his feet, Garvin scoops Chris' legs from under him and locks him in an elevated Boston Crab. Jericho screams in pain as he tries to crawl for the ropes. Just as he is about to reach them however, Garvin pulls him away and locks in the Crab tighter. Finally Chris Jericho taps and gives Ronnie Garvin the win. Garvin holds the move a little longer before releasing his opponent and then taking his towel from Davis, he wipes his sweaty brow before tossing it at his defeated foe. On the ground Jericho grips the towel as Garvin heads towards the ropes. Leaping to his feet Jericho wraps the towel around Ronnie's neck and begins choking him hard. After a few moments Garvin drops to his knees as Danny Davis pulls Jericho off. When Ronnie collapses in the ring; Jericho wipes his own brow with the towel and throws it down at him.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Eastern Championship Wrestling. You know Lanny, everytime I gain a little respect for Chris Jericho; he goes and flushes it with actions like just before the break.
Poffo: I'm sure there are many competitors here who'd like to have choked Ronnie Garvin with that towel of his. That entire routine of his is just disrespectful in general. Though I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this.
Okerlund: Well we can agree on that at least.
Poffo: Unlike the tools coming up in our next match.
Okerlund: You mean your team The Stevies who you actually helped several weeks ago?
Poffo: Nah. I've always liked those two Gene. I mean they're my fan club after all. It's these Killer Bee guys.
Okerlund: What?!
Poffo: Gotcha. Go Mr. Moustache! Go!
Okerlund facepalms as The Stevies appear on the ramp accompanied to Buddy Holly's "Everyday."
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team contest is scheduled for one fall. Making their way to the ring at a combined weight of 461 lbs.; from Pennsylvania; they are The Stevies, Steve Blackman and Steven Richards.
After a short martial arts perfomance by Blackman in the ring while Richards sits on the top turnbuckle and claps; an annoying buzzing is heard.
McGillicutty: And their opponents weighing in at 457 lbs.; they are Th Killer Bees; "Jumping" Jim Brunzell and B. Brian Blair.
The Bees show up on the ramp wearing masks and do several karate moves of their own.
Okerlund: What's with the masks?Tag-Team Match: The Stevies vs. The Killer Bees B. Brian Blair and Steven Richards start things off, locking up when Teddy Long starts the match. Richards quickly circles behind Blair and attempts a suplex, only to receive a snapmare by Blair who then tries to get the quick win by locking in a figure four leglock. Richards however is too close to the ropes and Steve Blackman reaches in and pulls him toward the ropes. Long warns Blackman, but breaks the hold. Richards remains in the ring and hops a bit on his good leg until Brian rushes in and is quickly taken down by a jumping roundhouse kick. Steven then goes for the cover which only goes to one before Blair kicks out. Richards attempts to keep Blair down, but he battles out and the two competitors trade punches across the ring until Blair whips Steven across the ring and hits him with a sidewalk slam for a two count. Lifting his opponent to his feet, Blair punches Steven's back and neck repeatedly before going for a vertical suplex, which Richards counters by flipping behind Blair; whom he catches in schoolboy for two. Brian is angry when he kicks out and nearly takes Steven's head off with a stiff clothesline; before kneeling beside him and hammering his skull. Lifting him in the air; he then hits a backdrop before going for the pin; which is broken up by Blackman at two with a diving elbow drop. Blair is annoyed while Blackman is sent out of the ring and lifts Richards to his feet. This gives Steven just the opening he need to hit Blair with a backbreaker over his knee and he quickly makes the tag to Black. Inside the ring Steve Blackman takes apart Blair with a variety of kicks before lifting him up for a fisherman's suplex; only to be hits by surprise by a huge uppercut from Blair. Brian begins beating on his opponent whom he whips across the ring looking for a back bodydrop; only to be shocked when Blackman leapfrogs over his head; and hits him with a double-handed bulldog on the return. Hoisting B. Brian Blair into the air; Steve Blackman annihilates him with a pendulum backbreaker. Just then however, Jim Brunzell reaches in and pulls Blair out of the ring before entering himself. Blackman looks angry and hits the masked Bee with a thrust kick which causes Brunzell to stumble backward and fall out of the ring. Climbing outside Blackman appears confused as to which Bee to throw back inside and grabbing the one that seems the most out of it, rolls him in. Making the cover; Blackman is shocked when the masked man grabs hold of him and rolls him into a small package for the three count. Jumping up and down; the Bee pulls off his mask and reveals himself to be Jim Brunzell as Blair joins him inside the ring where they celebrate. Blackman is fuming and yells something to Steven Richards, who then throws Blackman his Kendo sticks. The Killer Bees' celebration is cut short as Blackman begins beating the duo down with his weapons. After a few minutes; Steven Richards jumps in and stops his partner; getting him to leave the ring while the battered Bees collect themselves.
Okerlund: Well I can't say they didn't have that coming.
Poffo: The Stevies are just sore losers Gene. Th Killer Bees simply outsmarted them. Simply put because those two are simple.
Okerlund: I'd watch that tongue of yours Lanny or you might be the next one getting hit by one of those sticks courtesy of your "fan club."
Poffo: Sticks and stones Gene. The latter of which those two don't have.
Okerlund: We'll see. Getting set for our next match where Rockin' Robin takes of Leilani Kai. Leilani has been on a role here of late at Eastern Championship.
Poffo: Ate a roll. Maybe? My money's on Robin. Sigh...
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Making her way to the ring now from Charlotte, North Carolina weighing in at 145 lbs.; she is Rockin' Robin.
Rockin' Robin makes her way down to ringside while "Rockin' Robin" by Bobby Day plays. Once she is inside; Day is replaced by Hawaiin music.
McGillicutty: And her opponent this evening hailing from Honolulu, Hawaii at 162 lbs.; she is "The Hawaiin Princess" Leilani Kai.Match: Rockin' Robin vs. Leilani Kai Rockin' Robin and Leilani Kai lockup when S.D. Jones starts the match. Leilani easily overpowers Robin whom she pushes backward. This angers Rockin' Robin who comes back swinging. She gets several good shots on Kai before her opponent starts firing back and whips her into the ropes. On the rebond Robin connects with a crossbody and going for the pin gets a two count. Keeping on top of Kai, Robin begins beating on her as she gets to one knee, but Kai pulls her down to the mat and locks Robin in a headlock. On the mat Rockin' Robin struggles to free herself and slowly makes her way toward the ropes. Finally she is able to weasel loose and getting back to her feet looks for a springboard moonsault off the ropes. Leilani Kai however surprises Rockin' Robin when she catches her in mid-air and slinging her over her shoulder; slams her down to the mat for the three count.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans. Before the break we witnessed some bad news for Lanny's girlfriend Rockin' Robin who fell victim to the sheer power of Leilani Kai.
Poffo: She isn't my girlfriend. I wish.
Okerlund: We're about set for our next match. Earlier today Matt Borne got the nod from Easter Championship's President Eric Bischoff; if he wins this Match here tonight; he will receive a second Title shot against Eastern Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Poffo: The question obviously being; who will Borne face?
"Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein sounds as The Blitzkrieg storms down to the ring with The Baron Von Raschke.
Poffo: As Roy Orbison would sing. "It's Over."
McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring accompanied by The Baron Von Raschke weighing 323 lbs.; from The Republic of Germany; The Blitzkrieg.
Entering the ring; Raschke swips the microphone from Beulah.Raschke: Danke Fraulein. However; tonight we have no thanks to offer Herr Bischoff. Night after night. Week after week. The Mangler's Monster. The destroyer of destinies. The Blitzkrieg has wreaked havoc here at Eastern Championship. Left a mountain of bodies. A sea of carnage in his wake like no other. And no scraps have been offered. No recognition. No prestige. And most importantly. No Title shot. Yet this flabby, stupid, waste of human excrement we face tonight. "The Maniac" Matt Borne. Should he defeat The Blitzkrieg tonight? A joke. A waste of time. But should he? A second Title shot will be given. Where? Where Herr Bischoff is our first? When will The Republic of Germany be allowed to rise? To dominate? To show this lousy American audience who the rightful, the true World Champion is? The Blitzkrieg.
Raschke hands Beulah the mic back to her surprise and leaves the ring.
McGillicutty: And his opponent tonight from Elwood City, Pennsylvania weighing 243 lbs.; he is "The Maniac" Matt Borne. Match: The Blitzkrieg vs. Matt Borne Davis gets out of the way as the bell rings and the two men collide. Maniac Matt Borne begins hammering The Blitzkrieg with little effect before the big man grabs Borne's head with his left and nails him with a stiff right. He then begins battering Borne with punch after punch until the smaller man hits the ropes and then whips him across the ring for a big boot before going for the cover. Borne kicks out at two and rolling free, gets to his feet and charges The Blitzkrieg; nailing him with a leaping shoulder block which staggers the monster a little. Maniac then grabs his opponent for a belly to belly suplex, but is unable to lift him. The Blitzkrieg slams the frustrated Borne in the head before powerbombing him to the floor. Going for the cover; Borne stuns the crowd when he kicks out just before the three. Pulled to his feet, Blitzkrieg begins hammering on Borne again before The Maniac breaks free after several stomps to the shins of Mangler's Monster. Running to the corner, Borne climbs the turnbuckle and waits for The Blitzkireg to approach before launching into the air looking for a diving seated senton; only to be caught in midair. Going for the pin he picks up the win.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans to Eastern Championship as we get set for tonight's big Main Event. This match has been in the making since our very first broadcast on Eastern Championship; where following a Triple-Threat Match "The Outlaw" Black Bart took a cheap shot on "Ravishing" Rick Rude.
Poffo: Speaking of cheap. The following week in a match between Black Bart and Jerry "The King" Lawler; Rick Rude not only revealed he had slept with The Outlaw's wife; but also cost him the Match.
Okerlund: This of course was only the start of things to come as numerous attacks by both parties took place over the following weeks.
Poffo: Including last week when Rude laid the pipe again; only this time literally to the head of Black Bart; during one of The Ravishing One's Rude Awakening segments here last week. To say things will be heated here tonight is an understatement.
Rick Rude's strip theme starts as he appears on the ramp and gives the ladies a show.
McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. On his way to the ring first from Robbinsdale, Minnesota at 251 lbs.; he is "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude. Rude swaggers down to the ring and hops inside with Teddy Long.
McGillicutty: And his opponent this evening from Weatherford, Texas weighing 285 lbs.; make way for "The Outlaw" Black Bart.Main Event: Rick Rude vs. Black Bart Rick Rude locks up with Black Bart as the match begins. Bart immediately breaks it with a snapmare and goes to work on the head of Rude. He brutally hammers on Rude before lifts him to his feet and slams him hard with a running back elbow which knocks The Ravishing One to the floor where he begins stomping on him. Down on the groudn Rick manages to grab Bart's foot and pulling it out from under him, drops The Outlaw to the ground. Using the second rope to get to his feet, Rude stomps on Bart a bit before hitting an elbow drop which Bart rolls free from. Rick kicks the mat in pain as Bart gets back to his feet and lifts Rude to his feet, hitting him in the neck and back before connecting with a back bodydrop. Going for the cover, Bart gets a near two count. Black Bart tries to keep Ravishing Rick down, but he is soon on one knee battling back as the two men begin trading punches and chops in the middle of the ring. Finally Rude catches Bart off guard and whips him into the corner. Charging The Outlaw, Rude hits the Bronco Buster in the corner. When Long counts to four, Rude gets off Bart and lifting him to his feet, elbows him in the jaw before hammering him in the corner. As Bart goes limp Rude lifts the big man up onto the top turnbuckle and hits the Frankensteiner off the top turnbuckle. Going for the pin, Rude gets a two before Bart kicks out. Keeping on top of him, Rude lifts Bart to a seated position and begins punching him in the head intil Bart connects with a low blow which the ref misses. Back on his feet, Bart kicks Rude in the gut and hits a vertical suplex; which gets him a two count. Lifting Rude up to his feet again, Bart whips him into the ropes and nails a clothesline. He repeats this before making another cover for another two. Bart is visibly frustrated and pulls his hair before lifting Rude back to his feet again and beating on him before going for a powerbomb; which to his surprise Rick counters with a huge DDT. With his opponent laide out, Rick goes up top and connects with a diving knee drop before going for the pin, which only gets him a near three. Both men look tired, but it is The Ravishing One who crawls to his feet first, and after smacking Bart around on the ground he lifts the big man to his feet; when The Outlaw shocks him with a roll-up. Rude kicks out just before the three and the two men are back on their feet in seconds trading punches in the middle of the ring. Bart ends up overpowering Rude whom he whips across the ring, but on the rebound Rude nails him with a hard clothesline. Dragging Black Bart back up to his feet, Rick Rude sets him up for the Rude Awakening; and he connects. Making the cover, he puts The Outlaw away.
Lights Fade.
