02/02/94 - Pittsburgh Civic Center Pittsburgh, PAMatch: Mongo Vyle vs. Mike Sharpe As Eastern Championship Wrestling begins the match is already in session as Mongo Vyle hammers brutally on the face on Iron Mike Sharpe; only to be stopped by acting referee Teddy Long. Given some time to catch his breath; Sharpe kicks Vyle in the gut while he is dristracted by Long and follows up with a hard forearm smash that sends The Machiavellan Mauler reeling. Grabbing the bigger man by the head; Iron Mike attempts to faceplant him; but Vyle keeps his footing and battles out with several elbows; before falling back into the ropes and using the momentum to take Sharpe down with a big clothesline. Going for the cover Vyle gets a two count. Aggravated by his opponent's persistence he picks him up and begins battering his head before laying him out with a sidewalk slam. Going for the pin Vyle picks up the win.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to Eastern Championship Wrestling; live tonight from the Pittsburgh Civic Center; right here in you guessed it; Pittsburgh. With me at ringside; "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. Welcome Lanny.
Poffo: Thank you Gene.
Okerlund: "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle just picked up a big win over "Iron" Mike Sharpe. These two competitors not even waiting for the show to start before they went at it. Bad blood Lanny?
Poffo: Not at all Gene. Vyle and Sharpe are just two big, violent men. They aren't technical wrestlers by any stretch. They're just brawlers. They like to hurt people Gene. And tonight they couldn't wait to hurt one another.
Okerlund: And that they did Lanny; in our first match of the evening. Now--Pomp and Circumstance hits as The Macho Man Randy Savage emerges from the back with Debbie Combs in tow. Getting in the ring he takes the microphone from Beulah.
Poffo: Beeschoff! Git your ass out here.
White Train by Tito & Tarantula sounds as Eric Bischoff swaggers from the back.Bischoff: Yes Randy?
Savage: Beeschoff. Beeschoff I know you were watching from your desk last week. You witnessed what that gutless, yeller Arn Anderson did to my buttercup Debbie Combs. Yeah. Him and that tramp of his; Miss Elizabeth. Now Beeschoff. I may not mind when The Enforcer. When the Enforcer Arn Anderson attacks me. He wants the belt. I have the belt. It's expected for nobodies like ole AA to wanna be somebodies. But when he goes after the lovely, the talented, an innocent like Ms. Combs Beeschoff. Why it makes the blood of The Macho Man boil Beeschoff. It makes the eyes of the Macho Man see red Beeschoff. And tonight. Tonight Beeschoff The Macho Man wants retribution. Tonight I want to see this ring turn red. Red with the blood of The Enforcer.
Combs: That's right Eric. After what that, that Georgian lummox did to me; costing me the Title; my man is going to crush him. Crush him Eric. But he's not the only one I have a problem with tonight Eric. Oh no. Now I realize why this Miss Elizabeth has a problem with me. I have two things she wants that she can never have. One. The Macho Man Randy Savage. Sure she had him for a time. But I had him first. And he came back. And you know what they say when someone comes back to you Eric. They're yours. And Randy. He's mine. Get over it Elizabeth. And second of course. Wrestling ability. Miss Elizabeth may be pretty; and she's lucky. Cause she has no talent Eric. And tonight I want to prove it in this very ring. Now before your say anything about her having no training Eric; you just remember. She put herself in this ring last week.
Bischoff: Randy. Debbie. I know you're angry. You have every right to be honestly. And ever since last Wednesday when I was sitting there, eating some chips, watching your match Ms. Combs; I knew I'd be standing in this ring tonight with the two of you. Knew it. Had nightmares about it. And here we are. Beeschoff. Beeschoff. Well, honestly this foresight gave me some time to think. Now Randy; obviously you and Arn have a grudge that needs to be settled. And Debbie. You and Liz. Well you're right. She did get in this ring. She put herself in harms way. Which is why I have no problem doing it again tonight. When in this very ring; you two; in an inter-gender Tag-Team Match will take on both Arn Anderson and Miss Elizabeth. How's that sound for tonight's Main Event?
Savage: I dig it Beeschoff. Ooh yeah.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Eastern Championship Wrestling. We just witnessed what I consider a reprehensible decision by our President; Eric Bischoff.
Poffo: What're you blathering on about now Gene? Okerlund: This decision to put Miss Elizabeth in a wrestling ring of course Lanny. She's a lady, not a wrestler. She has no training.
Poffo: She knew that before she got into the ring Gene. You ask me; the second she put her hands on Debbie Combs; she asked for this. You reap what you sow Gene.
Okerlund: Whatever Poffo. This is disgusting.
Poffo: Speaking of ladies smudging their mascara; we're just about ready for our next match.McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall; from Varacruz, Mexico weighing 132 lbs. she is La Diabolica.
Generic rock music plays as La Diabolica makes her way to the ring. Once inside Hawaiin music is heard.
McGillicutty: And her opponent hailing from Honolulu, Hawaii weighing in at 162 lbs. Lelaini Kai.Match: La Diabolica vs. Leilani Kai As refree Matt Hyson starts the match La Diabolica baseball slides through the legs of Leilani Kai and pops back up behind her; takes her down with a hair-pull snapmare. As Kai gets to one knee Diabolica begins beating on her, but Leilani soon fights out as the two women trade punches across the ring. Whipping La Diabolica into the ropes; Kai takes her opponent down with a flying a spinning back elbow before hitting her with a barrage of knee drops. Rolling out of the way; Diabolica rolls back towards Kai when she gives pursuit and takes the bigger woman down with a drop toe hold. Quickly getting to her feet she delivers a dropkick to the face of the downed Kai and goes for the pin; getting a two count before Leilani powers out. Back on her feet Kai delivers several chops to Diabolica before whipping her into the turnbuckle and charging her; takes her out with a big boot. Looking for the pin Kai is frustrated when her opponent kicks out at two and argues with the ref. This gives La Diabolica enough time to recover and Hyson looks on as she hits Kai with a hurrancanrana from behind, taking Kai to the mat. Groggily getting back to her feet again; Leilani is only standing long enough to receive a lariat courtsey of Diabolica who goes up top and hits a moonsault for the three count.
Okerlund: An impressive win for the masked mistress La Diabolica here tonight.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. There's just something sexy about a woman in leather. Okerlund: And a mask?
Poffo: Whatever rocks your boat Gene.
Okerlund: I wasn't suggesting.
Poffo: No reason to explain Gene. If I was married to Mrs. Okerlund; I'd opt for a mask too.
Okerlund: Now you just wait a damned minute.
Ronnie Garvin's intro hits.
Poffo: Gene. There's a match underway. Be a professional.
McGillicutty: The following Triple-Threat Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring from Quebec, Canada at 231 lbs. he is "The Rugged One" Ronnie Garvin.
Smug Ronnie Garvin appears holding his towel behind his neck as he descends the ramp. Once he's inside "Another One Bite the Dust" by Queen plays.
McGillicutty: Introducing from Charlotte, North Carolina at 280 lbs.; The Junk Yard Dog. Junk Yard Dog appears on stage wearing his chain and barks at the crowd; beating his chest before making his way to the ring.
McGillicutty: And the last ompeititor in this match weighing 237 lbs. from Battle Creek, Michigan; he calls himself "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam.Triple-Threat Match: Ronnie Garvin vs. Junk Yard Dog vs. Rob Van Dam Ronnie Garvin and Junk Yard Dog eye Rob Van Dam wearily as he shows off a bit in the ring as Danny Davis starts the match. Junk Yard immediately swings at Van Dam who rolls under his arm and grabbing JYD from behind takes the big man down with a side Russian legsweep. Garvin fairs little better when he comes ina and is sent stumbling back via a spinning heel kick from RVD. Chasing Ronnie into the corner; Van Dam monkey flips the veteran across the ring. His luck runs out however when he turns into a hard right courtesy of JYD. The two men trade punches; The Dog clearly dominating his smaller competitor whom he proceeds to whip across the ring into the waiting arms of Ronnie Garvin. Locking Rob Van Dam into a full nelson; Garvin holds the struggling man while Junkyard comes in ans begins pounding on him like a punching bag. After a few minutes a beaten Van Dam in desparation throws his legs up in the air and over the shoulders of the Dog whom he begins choking out in a headscissors. At first concerned; Garvin allows it to continue for a bit before dropping Van Dam who hangs from JYD in a bizarre tree of woe as The Rugged One begins stomping on Van Dam. Finally Garvin delivers a huge shoulder block to RVD which takes both him and a frustrated JYD down to the ground in a heap. Moving on top of them; Garvin is in for a surprise of his own however when Van Dam hits him with a huge uppercut before sweeping his legs out from under him. Back on his feet Rob Van Dam sprints across the ring and executes a Rolling Thunder on Ronnie. Looking to put Garvin away for good; Van Dam goes to the turnbuckle and goes up top; looking to connect with the Frog Splash. Rugged Ronnie however is already back on his feet and catching RVD in mid-air; hits him with a scoop slam. Not going for the cover; Garvin locks in an armbar as Junkyard Dog charges to the rescue and begins stomping on Garvin. Ronnie refuses to break the hold however and wrenches Van Dam's arm even harder; causing him to tap. Getting to his feet; Ronnie pushes Davis away as he looks to raise his hand and turning his attention to Junkyard Dog; the two men begin trading punches before Junk Yard Dog delivers a massive headbutt to Garvin; planting him on his ass. JYD exits the ring while the victor holds his head dazed.Okerlund: Hello and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. This is Mean Gene Okerlund and with me is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. Looks like there's some trouble brewing between Ronnie Garvin and the Junk Yard Dog prior to the break,
Poffo: Junk Yard is just a sore loser Gene. Had he actually been on his feet during the match; he might've stood a chance of winning.
Okerlund: Right. Coming up in our next bout is what I guess would be considered another of your "Pot-Luck" tag-teams Lanny.
Poffo: Not at all Gene. Not at all. Throwing "Ravishing" Rick Rude and "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho could only be descirbed as Genius. I'm surprised it wasn't my idea.
Okerlund: Hold that thought Lanny as we hear there's some turbulance in the office of Eastern Championship President Eric Bischoff.
Eric Bischoff is seated as far back in his chair as possible as an irate Matt Borne looms over his desk yelling and pointing at him. Borne: What thell is this 'Ric? What the hell? I beat Savage. Beat him clean two nights ago! According to your rules. The rules of this chicken shit operation I get a Title shot! But last week who do I fight?! A masked mook. And what's the Main Event?! A cat fight. And tonight?! What is it? Huh? Randy Savage blubbering over his poor little girlfriend! I'm the number one contender dammit! I want my Title Shot! It's time I take the Title off that damned poofy Macho Man. What do you have to say?! Huh?!
Matt Borne picks up one of the chairs in from of Bischoff's desk and chucks it.
Bischoff: Listen. Matt. I understand your frusstration. But these things take time. And I wanted your Title Shot to be something special. Because you deserve it.
Borne: I'm listening.
Bischoff: Next week here on TNN we're going to have a very special broadcast of Eastern Championship Wrestling. A Pay Per View style Event, only without nickel and diming the fans. After a special King of the Mountain Match where we'll crown Eastern Championship's first ever Intercontinental Champion; we're going to have a Main Event; A Main Event in which "Macho Man" Randy Savage defends his Title against the number one contender; "The Maniac" Matt Borne.
Borne: Main Event. I like it. World Champion Matt Borne.
Borne gestures like he has a belt around his waist. With that the camera returns to ringside.
Poffo: Well it's obvious which mania Matt Borne suffers from Gene. The guy's got delusions of grandeur.
Okerlund: We'll just have to wait and see next week Lanny. I'd be interested to know just what a King of the Mountain Match entails.
Poffo: Not a clue. I would hazard a guess it has something to do with a mountain of some sort.
Okerlund: And a King?
Poffo: How would I know if Jerry Lawler is in the match Gene. I'm a Genius. Not precognitive.
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team match is scheduled for one fall. Makin his way to the ring at this time from Robbinsdale, Minnesota at 251 lbs. he is "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude.
Rude's strip theme hits as he appears from the back and does a little dance for the ladies before coming to the ring.
McGillicutty: And his partner from Manhasset, New York weighing 226 lbs.; "The Long Island Lod-Mouth" Chris Jericho.
"Rock America" by Danger Danger plays as Chris Jericho swaggers down to ringside. Getting in the ring he has a staredown with Rude which he loses; before smirking and shaking his hand. The Bill Conti Overture then starts.
McGillicutty: And now introducing their opponents from Memphis, Tennessee weighing in at a combined 456 lbs.; the team of Brian and Jerry "The King" Lawler.Tag-Team Match: Rick Rude & Chris Jericho vs. The Lawlers Chris Jericho enters the ring first as he and Brian Lawler lock up. Lawler quickly circles behind Jericho looking or a full nelson; but Jericho takes him down with an armdrag; locking Brian in an armbar. Brian attempts to battle out and when he is unable to; Jerry Lawler breaks it up with an fist drop to Jericho. Getting in the ring to aide his partner; Rick Rude begins trading punches with the senior Lawler until they're both instructed to leave the ring by Hyson. Meanwhile Brian Lawler has recovered and is going chop for chop with Chris Jericho before whipping the Loud-Mouth across the ring and taking him down with a spinning elbow. Getting on top of him Brian puts Jericho in a headlock causing his opponent to cry out in agony. Jericho is not out of it yet however as he battles back to his feet and freeing himself from the hold; turns Lawler about and kicks him in the gut before delivering a scissors kick; planting Brian to the mat. Going for the cover he gets a two count. Angry; Chris lifts Brian up and hits him repeatedly before whipping him into his corner; where Rude holds Lawler Jr. prisoner while Jericho delivers a big shoulder block knocking his opponent to the floor. He then tags in Rude; who going up top waits for Brian to get back to his feet and delivers a big flying dropkick. Wanting Jerry in; he lifts Brian to his feet and tosses him to his corner where The King makes the tag. Now the legal man; Jerry trades punches with Rude who whips him into the ropes. On his return hower; Lawler gets the upperhand with a big clothesline and goes for the cover; receiving a one count. Back on his feet Jerry gives Rude the boots; until his opponent rolls out of the way and regaining his feet delivers a springboard crossbody to The King and picks up a one count. The two men grapple on the floor for a while before making it back to their feet where The King hits a suplex on The Ravishing One. As he goes for the cover however; Chris Jericho enters the ring and hits him from behind with a dropkick that sends Lawler through the middle ropes and out of the ring. Angered by this; Brian enters the ring and battles Jericho; who proves too much for the younger Lawler whom he plants with a sitout powerbomb before Hyson restores order making Jericho get in his corner and Brian back in his. Looking to make the tag; Jerry however reenters the ring in his own corner and easily makes it while Rick Rude gets back to his feet. Just then Black Bart's Western intro music hits. Rude looks toward the entrance just long enough to see nobody is there. Which is just long enough for Brian Lawler to rain down on his back with a diving guillotine legdrop that faceplants him into the mat. Making the cover; Brian Lawler picks up the win as Jericho rushes in just a little too late; only to receive a face full of fist courtesy of The King.As Eastern Championship Wrestling returns on-air; we're brought back to President Eric Bischoff's office. He is doodling on a picture of Sting; giving him a moustache and devil horns. And a dress. When there is a knock on the door.
Bischoff: What now? Come in.
Eric Bischoff doesn't look relieved when The Enforcer Arn Anderson enters with Miss Elizabeth.Anderson: Liz. Please wait outside. Things might get ugly in here and I'd rather a lady not be present.
The two men watch as Liz leaves and Anderson shuts the door.
Bischoff: How can I help you Arn?
Anderson: Listen to me Bischoff. I'm coming here to talk to you as one man to another. I'm not going to yell at you. Slap you around. Bully you. I could; but I won't. I'm here to appeal to your sense of decency Eric. Miss Elizabeth. She's not a wrestler. She don't have any ring training. You just can't put her in that ring Eric. It's not right. Please. Change the match.
Bischoff: Arn. Arn I'm feeling what you're saying. I getcha. But honestly my hands are tied. The moment She put her hands on Ms. Combs; well; she might as well signed the contract for this match herself. I wish there was more I could do.
Anderson: More that you could do? More that you could do? You gutless, spineless coward. Of course there's more you could do. Stop this insanity. Stop this match. If that woman gets hurt out there tonight. It's on your head. A head I swear to you; I'll take off.
The camera cuts back to ringside.
Okerlund: Strong words from The Enforcer Lanny.
Poffo: Strong words? He just threatened our boss Gene. Arn Anderson should be fired. That's what happens when you threaten your boss. You lose your job.
Okerlund: Speaking from experience?
Poffo: Well she wasn't going to tell a Genius how to make a Quarter Ponder with Cheese.
Ich tu der weh by Rammstein assaults the arena as The Baron Von Raschke storms down the ramp followed his charge The Blitzkrieg. Raschke: Cowards. Chickens. Americans. All these words are the same. All I hear. Everywhere I go. Over and over. It is the same. Nobody. No one wants to enter this ring. Nobody wants to fight my charge, Mangler's Monster; The Blitzkrieg. Nobody will rise, stand up; challenge this man. This beast by my side. Too violent they say. Too destructive. Sting, Hogan, Austin, Caras. Too afraid to even join this roster. For fear. Fear that they'd have to face this man. This monster. The Blitzkrieg. Do you hear that? Silence. Cause nobody will answer the challenge, the call. Not one hero in your midst. Not one brave soul.
"Rock You Like A Hurricane" by The Scoripions rocks the arena as Buck Zumhoff appears on stage, boom box on his shoulder; and dances his way down to the ring. Just outside he shows a moment's hesitation before entering. Raschke looks surprised.Poffo: This guy's an idiot.
Okerlund: I'm trying to think of an argument.
Raschke: Herr Zumhoff? Herr Zumhoff am I mistaken? Haven't you suffered enough several weeks ago. Three weeks ago when this creature; The Blitzkrieg put you out of action. Perhaps he damaged your brain. Rattled you mind. Why Herr Zumhoff? By the fuhrer why would you ever wish to punish yourself thus again?
Zumhoff: Listen here Count Reichula. You're right. All the Rock 'N Rollers back home know you're right. Their hero; the one, the only Rock 'N Roll Buck Zumhoff has been out of action, off tv these last coupla weeks. And that thing behind you is responsible. And you ask why I'm here after such an encounter? Well the answer is simple and goes a little something like this. Last time I was in the ring here with you two; you broke my tunes. And second and maybe more importantly to the people at home. Rammstein sucks. You can't understand it. And you certainly can't dance to it. With this The Blitzkrieg swings at Zumhoff who ducks under the giant's arm.Match: The Blitzkrieg vs. Buck Zumhoff And with that referee Danny Davis starts the match. When The Blitzkrieg turns to face Buck Zumhoff however; the Rock 'N Roller smashes the big man in the face with his boom box; sending pieces of it everywhere. The Blitzkrieg's mask is ripped; but he is unmoved as Davis calls for the bell; disqualifying Zumhoff who Manger's Monster picks up into the air and throws into the corner. Charging the smaller man Blitzkrieg delivers a huge shoulder block; and keeping him pinned against the turnbuckle starts hammering away until he opens Zumhoff up. Seeing security rushing toward the ring along with Eric Bischoff, Teddy Long; and Matt Hyson; The Baron Von Raschke interferes on Zumhoff's behalf and gets The Blitzkrieg to leave the ring with him wihout further incident.Okerlund: Welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. My apologies ladies and gentlemen. What we witnessed just before the break was brutal.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. The Blitzkrieg isn't here to wrestle; frankly he's here to hurt people. He's the kind of guy nobody wants to step into the ring with. I wouldn't.
Okerlund: Of course not. You're a Genius.
Poffo: Finally you sit it Gene. One has to wonder how this may effect the King of the Mountain Event next week as The Blitzkrieg is now fired up and will definitely be participating. Not sure about Zumhoff. Poor b--
Okerlund: Thanks for reminding me Lanny. Before we get off on another tangent folks at home; during the break we were informed by Eric Bischoff just what the King of the Mountain Event will be. Thirty competitors will be competing in an over the top rope battle royal Match. In this variation however four men will start things out with a new challenger entering every two minutes. When there are only two men remaining in the ring; they must then defeat one another via Pinfall or Submission. This match will determine Eastern Championship's first ever Intercontinental Champion.
Poffo: That sounds like a tremendous event. Also announced early today was next Wednesday's Main Event proceeding the King of the Mountain Match; in which the Eastern Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage will face the number one pretender "Maniac" Matt Borne for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Okerlund: That's right fight fans. Be sure to tune in next Wednesday right here on TNN.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Tokyo, Japan and weighing in at 180 lbs.; he is one half of the Eastern Tag-Team Champions The New Orient Express; Yoshihiro Tajiri.
The Kaientai Theme plays as Tajiri stalks his way down to the ring followed by his manager Mr. Fuji. Some generic hard rock music begins to play.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Elwood City, Pennsylvania weighing 243 lbs.; "The Maniac" Matt Borne.Match: Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Matt Borne Yoshihiro Tajiri and Matt Borne lock up as Teddy Long begins the match. Borne gets the quick advantage with a cheap hard elbow to his opponent's gut; before grabbing Tajiri by the head and running him face first into the turnbuckle. When he goes for a second smash Yoshihiro battles out with a back elbow and sprinboards off the ropes into a hurrancanrana sending Borne stumbling to the floor. In control now; Tajiri begins nailing The Maniac with kick after kick; but when he looks to finish him with a spinning heel kick; Borne ducks under and takes The Buzzsaw down with a legdrag. Pulling him into the center of the ring by the same leg; Matt Borne locks in a sharpshooter. Thinks are looking bad for Tajiri as he fails to free himself from the hold; crying out in pain; until he miraculously rolls forward rolling up Borne at the same time for a two count. The two men deliver several chops to one another before Borne takes Yoshihiro down with a big boot to the stomach and nails him with a powerbomb. Going for the cover he gets a two count before Tajiri powers out. Lifting his weary opponent to his feet proves a mistake for The Maniac as Tajiri connects with an inverted atomic drop out of nowehere; and while Borne recovers runs back to the ropes; returning with a handspring back elbow. Looking to put the big man away; Tajiri goes up top and looks for a flying crossbody as Borne staggers back up to his feet. Borne surprises The Japanese Buzzsaw and the crowd however when he catches Tajiri in mid-air and charging his way to the turnbuckle; looks to plant Yoshihiro on top of it. Tajiri drops over the ropes however and stuns Maniac Matt as he locks him in the Tarantula. Matt Borne screams in pain while Long gives the four count before Tajiri lets him go. Dropping to the mat; Matt attempts to crawl away; but Tajiri hops up onto the top rope and launches into a springboard hurrancanrana pin; only to find nobody home as Borne rolls out of the way. Landing hard on his ass; Yoshihiro staggers up in pain as Borne grabs him from behind and hits a full nelson facebuster; earning himself the victory.
Okerlund: Well perhaps that'll shut you up.
Poffo: Like Martin Luther King; you have a dream Gene.Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to Eastern Champion Wrestling as we get set for tonight's big Main Event. One I personally find reprehensible.
Poffo: Did you just look that word up in the dictionary or something? Okerlund: No. Why?
Poffo: Because you've used it like seven times tonight.
Okerlund: Well this match is-
Poffo: I know. Reprehensible. Move along.
Okerlund: Whatever. I just hope Miss Elizabeth doesn't get hurt because of this irresponsible booking.
Pomp and Circumstance hits as The Macho Man Randy Savage emerges from the back with Debbie Combs.
McGillicutty: The following match is and Inter-Gender Tag-Team Match and is scheduled for one fall. On their way to the ring at a combined total of 364 lbs.; they are the Eastern Heavyweight Champion Macho Man Randy Savage and "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs
Entering the ring Savage gives Hyson his belt, his robe; and his glasses while Arn Anderson's intro music starts.
McGillicutty: And their challengers this evening weighing a combined 356 lbs.; the team of "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Miss Elizabeth.Tag-Team Main Event: Randy Savage & Debbie Combs vs. Arn Anderson & Miss Elizabeth Though their rivals want Miss Elizabeth in the ring first; Arn Anderson is adamant about starting the match and locks up with Macho Man Randy Savage. The two men battle for leverage for several minutes before Savage breaks the hold delivering a short uppercut which knocks The Enforcer off balance. Moving in; Savage begins delivering several blows as the two men begin battling one another around the ring; the early advantage belonging to The Macho Man. Soon however neither man has the upperhand as the go shot for shot; until Arn Anderson delivers a facebuster to Savage over his knee. Now in control; Anderson begins hammering on the back and neck of the World Champion. Beating him into the ropes; referee Hyson looks to break them up; but Anderson quickly scoops up Savage and plants him with a sidewalk slam. Going for the cover he gets a one count. Hoisting Randy to his feet; AA begins beating on him until Arn looks for the spinebuster; which Randy counters by pulling in his feet and monkey flipping The Enforcer across the ring. Staggering to his feet; Savage makes the tag to Combs; begins attacking the downed Arn Anderson; stomping on him furiously until the ref stops her. Anderson looks pissed; but doesn't raise a hand to Combs; leaving when Hyson instructs him to; and reluctantly allows Miss Elizabeth to enter the ring. Debbie Combs is on top of Miss Elizabeth at once and begins beating on her mercilesslly. When Liz flounders into the ropes; Hyson breaks the two women up; and seeing her chance; an angered Elizabeth slaps Debbie across the face. Combs turns seven shades of red and she screams and swings Elizabeth across the ring with a violent hair-pull snapmare. Anderson is helpless to look on as Combs begins stomping on Miss Elizabeth and finally puts her into a cross armbar. Elizabeth shrieks in pain; but surprises everyone when she refuses to tap. Curling her free hand into a fist; Elizabeth begins wildly punching Debbie who in shock releases the hold. Back on her feet; Elizabeth begins punching Combs whom she takes down with a Lou Thesz press. On the ground; she continues hammering on her opponent until Combs locks her legs around her in a bodyscissors and turns the tables. Garbbing Liz by the head; she begins slamming her face first into the mat sadistically before getting back to her feet and placing Elizabeth in a rear chinlock. Elizabeth tries to claw her way out with little success until she finally hits Debbie in the face with an elbow; bloodying Combs' nose. This gives Miss Elizabeth just enough time to stumble to her corner where she makes the tag to a relieved Arn Anderson. Meeting Randy Savage in the middle of the ring the two men collide in an explosion of punches as they brutalize one another. Arn clearly gets the better of The Macho Man who he sends reeling on his feet before hitting him with a lifting side slam; planting Savage to the mat. He then begins stomping on the downed Champ; but when he goes for the cover he is pulled back by Combs; who has a handfull of his hair. Hyson quickly breaks them up and a livid Enforcer begins trading some unpleasant words with her. While his back is turned; Randy Savage pops up off the mat and hits Arn with a swinging neckbreaker; before going for the pin. He gets a near three count before Arn powers out. Pulling him to a seated position; Savage begins hitting AA with a barrage of fists; before showing some life; Anderson slowly gets to one knee and starts to fight his way up to his feet. The two men begin trading punches again before Arn pulls Savage in and delivers a jawbreaker over his shoulder to Savage whom he whips across the ring and hits with a spinning spinebuster in the middle of the ring. Going for the pin Hyson begins the count as Combs launches into the ring. He's at two when Elizabeth meets her half-way in and delivers a running bulldog on Combs; laying Debbie out as Hyson's hand hits the mat for the three count; "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson defeating the World Champion.
Lights Fade.

Second; this match-type may seem a little familiar. Because; quite frankly; they stole some of my idea when I pitched it back in 1988. But of course; like most things that promotion does... they didn't do it right. So tonight in this very ring we will have our first ever King of the Mountain Match. In this match four men will start out in the ring, with a new challenger entering the match every two minutes. Challengers are eliminated when they are thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the ground below; until only two men remain left standing in the ring. At this point those two competitors will compete in a standard Match won either by pinfall or submission; and go on to be crowned the Eastern Intercontinental Champion. Thirty men will compete here, in this very ring, tonight. Now I'm sure you're tired of listening to me; so let's get this thing underway. Ms. McGillicutty?
McGillicutty: Introducing the first challenger of the night; hailing from Tokyo, Japan and accompanied by Mr. Fuji; at 190 lbs. he is one half of the Eastern Tag-Team Champions The New Orient Express; Taka Michinoku.
Okerlund: Being first in this type of Match certainly wouldn't be considered lucky.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. I'd say chances probably wouldn't look good for any of the first four competitors in this match type.
As the Kaientai Theme ends and Michinoku is in the ring; "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen sounds as The Junk Yard Dog comes barking from the back.
McGillicutty: And our second challenger on his way to the ring at 280 lbs. from Charlotte, North Carolina he is The Junk Yard Dog.
JYD steps into the ring and hands his chain to referee Teddy Long as "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions blares and Buck Zumhoff appears onstage with his boom box. His head is bandaged.
McGillicutty; Now making his way to the ring, the third entrant in tonight's match from Hamburg, Minnesota weighing 220 lbs. he is "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff. Zumhoff puts on a little dance in the ring as Irish Folk Music plays amd Erin O'Grady appears tossing gold coins to the crowd.
McGillicutty: And our fourth entrant from Dublin, Ireland weighing 212 lbs.; "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady.30-Man King of the Mountain Match As the bell sounds old rivals Taka Michinoku and Junkyard Dog go at it; with Michinoku sliding through JYD's legs and popping up behind him to lock in a sleeper holder with leg scissors. Meanwhile Buck Zumhoff goes off on Erin O'Grady, chopping his smaller adversary into the corner. Fighting back out of the hold, Junkyard Dog tosses Taka over his shoulders, down to the mat and connects with a legdrop. Meanwhile across the ring O'Grady also turns the tables when he hops up on the top turnbuckle and plants Zumhoff with a huge Tornado DDT when an annoying buzzing is heard.
Poffo: Mr. Moustache! Mr. Moustache!Mean Gene slaps his head as B. Brian Blair makes his way to the ring; and entering the match; forms a quick alliance with O'Grady as the two men lift Buck Zumhoff to his feet and whip him into the ropes. When they move to hoist him over however; Zumhoff comes back to life and begins fighting both men; trading punches with the duo. Michonku meanwhile has been delivering a series of stunning kicks to Junkyard Dog when he luck runs out and the big man takes him down with a leg drag. Lifting him up into the air; JYD attempts to body slam Taka out of the ring; but is distracting by a smack to the shin courtesy of Mr. Fuji who interferes from ringside. Dropping Michinoku, the wiry small man moves fast, countering with a hurrancanrana. Just then "Poundcake" by Van Halen sounds and Rob Van Dam appears on the ramp; showing off as usual. Making his way down to the ring "Mr. Wednesday Night" RVD hops up onto the ring skirt, then onto the top rope; and in the same fluid motion takes down a surprised Blair and Zumhoff with a double clothesline; ending their double-team on Buck Zumhoff. On the other side of the ring; Taka Michinoku hangs onto the top rope as he struggles with The Dog who is attempting to push him over and eliminate him from the match.Whipping Erin O'Grady into the ropes, RVD delivers a spinning wheel kick to B. Brian Blair, knocking him backward; while Buck tries to help JYD eliminate Michinoku, who still clinging to the ropes, drops down below and slides back inside under the bottom rope. He then delivers a dropkick to Junkyard, which nearly sends him toppling outside. Death Metal soon assaults the ears of the participants as Mongo Vyle appears on the ramp arm raised and races down to ringsides. Once inside Mongo begins battering on Rob Van Dam whom he catches offguard while Zumhoff and JYD send Taka Michinoku plummeting outside via a double hiptoss. Instead of turning on one another, Zumhoff and JYD continue their alliance as they interrupt a battle between Blair and O'Grady and start beating on the two men together. Van Dam has recovered from Vyle's initial assault and delivers a Rolling Thunder on the big man. When he looks to lift him back to his feet however, Rob is unable to; and instead is surprised by an armdrag from Mongo which takes him down on the mat; where Mongo leaps up and smashes Mr. Wedneday Night with a huge double-axe handled.Steven Richards is next in the ring; accompanied by "Everyday" by Buddy Holly; which causes most of the competitors in the ring to pause in confusion before returning to their brawls. Steven Richards' entrance is largely ignored until he grabs big Mongo Vyle from behind only to receive a huge clothesline. This gives RVD some time to recover and getting to his feet; he connects with a springboard crossbody on Vyle. JYD meanwhile has B. Brian Blair seated on the top rope in an attempt to elimate him, but Blair is reluctant to leave, battling back furiously. Zumhoff has just hit a spinebuster on O'Grady, but when he goes to lift him to his feet, Erin counters by rolling him up in a useless schoolboy which only gives him some breathing room. Western music snaps the arena and Black Bart is revealed at the eighth entrant.Okerlund: It appears that Black Bart isn't in any hurry to get into the ring Lanny.
Poffo: And nor should he be Gene. It's a smart strategy. The more time you're in the ring, the greater the chances you'll be eliminated. One thing that I'm sure will become a factor sooner rather than later Gene is physical endurance. The first entrants have only been in the ring for a little over ten minutes so far; but by the twentieth entrant; they will have been in their for over half an hour. Surely this kind of physicality for that long a period of a time has to take its toll.
Okerlund: Provided they last that long naturally. Black Bart has finally joined the fray and it seems like he's picked someone near and dear to you Lanny.
Poffo: I have no vested interest in any of these guys.
Okerlund: Surely you've forgotten Steven Richards. One of "The Stevies." The team you manage?
Poffo: Shut up Gene. I'm sure Steven Richards isn't on the minds of anyone in this match.
Okerlund: That could be to his advantage. Of course; Black Bart did just powerbomb him.
"Rock America" by Danger Danger plays as Chris Jericho enters as the matches tenth entrant.Poffo: Speaking of personal favorite's Gene. Aren't you the President of the Chris Jericho fan club?
Okerlund: Shut up Lanny.
Jericho charges the ring; making an immediate impact as he delivers a double knee facebreaker out of nowhere to Buck Zumhoff; putting to a hault the Rock 'N Roller's assault on Erin O'Grady. Rob Van Dam meanwhile has Mongo Vyle pinned in a corner and is raining down punches on him while Steven Richards takes a beating courtesy of Black Bart. Chris Jericho is holding Buck Zumhoff up as Erin O'Grady smashes Buck's face in with a superkick. Junkard Dog is still going at it wit B. Brian Blair, whom he whips into the ropes. Charging after him, JYD is unable to stop in time when Blair moves out of the way and pulls down the top rope; sending The Dog out of the ring with his own momentum. Blair takes a moment to recover when an annoying buzzing noise is heard. Brian is pleased as Jumping Jim Brunzell enters the ring and helps him to his feet. Instead of jumping into the fray, The Killer Bees sit back and keep out of the way as the battles continue around them. Chris Jericho attempts a lionsault on Buck Zumhoff who counters it when he throws he knees up into The Loud-Mouth's ribs. Erin O'Grady attempts to keep Buck down; but the Rock 'N Roller powers out with a leaping clotheline; taking O'Grady back down to the mat, where he begins beating on him. RVD is whipped into the corner and charged by Mongo Vyle; who slams him into the turnbuckle with a huge shoulder block. Steven Richards meanwhile is nearly elimanted by Black Bart who is attempting to kick him off the edge of the ring after rolling him over the top rope; when The Killer Bees make their move and attack Bart from behind; attempting to eliminate him. He holds his weight down however and The Bees are unable to budge the big man. The Bill Conti Overture sounds and Brian Lawler is on his way to ringside.Hopping over the top rope; Brian immediately begins hammering on Steven Richards; who goes punch for punch with him in the middle of the ring while RVD escapes Vyle's assault with an elbow to the jaw; and going up top hits Vyle with a diving splash while The Killer Bees work over Black Bart in the corner. Buck Zumhoff has regained the advantage over Chris Jericho whom he hammers with chop after chop while Erin O'Grady regains his breath on one knee; trying to keep out of the way. Just then odd music hits and a masked man in striped tights appears on the ramp; making his way to the ring.McGillicutty: On his way to the ring from Parts Unknown, weighing in at 230 lbs.; he is the man simply known as Dangerous.
Poffo: Who?
Okerlund: You've got me. Poffo: Those tights give me a headache.
Okerlund: Must be a big ache.
Poffo: And it looks like Erin O'Grady's little siesta is over as Dangerous delivers a enziguiri kick. Looks like this guy deals in headaches.
Okerlund: And it looks like Black Bart is out of the ring courtesy of The Killer Bees. It'll be interesting to see how long their team work would last if they made it to this matches' final moments.
Poffo: Not long at all Gene. Looks like Black Bart is still in the match. Mr. Moustache took that bionic elbow like a champ.
Rick Rude's familiar strip theme is now heard as he appears on stage and gives a dance for the ladies before heading to ringside.Okerlund: Looks like business is about to pick up. Rude of course having made it to the final Match of the Heavyweight Tournament; only losing to Randy Savage. He's my pick to win this thing.
Poffo: I don't gamble Gene.
Rick Rude is slow to make his way intro the ring and receives several leery eyes as he enters. Interfering in the closest brawl to him; Rick Rude pulls Buck Zumhoff off of Chris Jericho and decks him. When Jericho goes to shake his hand in appreciation; Rude punches him too.
Okerlund: Rick Rude making it perfectly clear to Jericho that there are no friends where Championship Gold is concerned Lanny.
Poffo: Indeed. And it doesn't look like Jericho is too happy about it either.
Black Bart is beating on Jim Brunzell; but tosses him aside when he sees Rick Rude is in the ring and charges the The Ravishing One before Jericho has time to retaliate. The Killer Bees are happy for the rest and Blair helps Jim to his feet as Bart swings and misses; Rude ducking under and smashing Bart in the gut. Zumhoff meanwhile is back on his feet and catches Jericho in a full nelson; while across the ring Rob Van Dam attempts in vain to lifte Mongo Vyle over the top rope. Erin O'Grady is involved in a three-way brawl between him, Steven Richards; and Brian Lawler when "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen plays again and Dick Murdoch treds down the ring in his cowboy hat.Dick Murdoch enters the ring; just as Black Bart makes his exit when Rick Rude whips him into the ropes; and sends him out to the floor with a beautiful dropkick. After waving mockingly at the furious Outlaw; Rude sets his sights on Brian Lawler whom he interrupts in the middle of hitting Steven Richards with a punch of his one. Richards is relieved for the break and ducks under Erin O'Grady's punch and counters with a lifting side slam. Jericho has caught Buck Zumhoff in a swinging neckbreaker; only to receive a clothesline from Dick Murdoch when he gets back to his feet. The Texan stomps on him a bit before turning his attention to B. Brian Blair. Jim Brunzell moves in to help his partner; only to receive a share of the beating Captain Redneck is handing out. The next opponent to enter the ring is "The U.K. Kidd" Doug Williams accompanied by "God Save the Queen" from the Sex Pistols.Okerlund: "The U.K. Kidd now in the ring appears to be looking to continue his alliance with Rob Van Dam from several weeks ago.
Poffo: They'll need to use it if they're going to eliminate Mongo Vyle Gene. That's one big man they're up against. Just lifting him over the ropes could prove problematic.
Okerlund: This is true Lanny as we head into the second half of the Match; Doug Williams being the 16th entrant with only three eliminations thus far. The Junkyard Dog, Taka Michinoku; and Black Bart already gone.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. And two of those being among the first entrants in this contest along with Erin O'Grady and Buck Zumhoff. Those two competitors still in the ring after almost half an hour. I'd say they couldn't have much gas left in them.
Okerlund: And it looks like we're about to have our fourth elimination as Steven Richards has just kicked Dangerous into the ropes. Nope. Saved himself with a headbutt.
Poffo: And Richards is back on his ass.
Okerlund: Give the kid a little credit. He's been holding his own out there for a while now."Hit by a Brick" by The Atomic Fireballs plays as Brickhouse Brown enters at number 17. Brown enters the ring and immediately helps takes Dangerous down with a suplex; letting Steven Richards make his escape. Rick Rude meanwhile has Brian Lawler trapped in a rear chinlock while Chris Jericho has restarted his battle with Buck Zumhoff. Dick Murdoch is now down and being repeatedly stomped upon by both Killer Bees and Doug Williams is planted to the mat with a huge DDT courtesy of Erin O'Grady. Mongo Vyle is on the verge of eliminating Rob Van Dam; whose foot is caught in the top ropes as he hangs on the outside. And Devon Hughes intro hits as he appears on the ramp.Devon: Testify!
Okerlund: And here comes big Devon Hughes. That ring is really filling up.
Poffo: Fourteen competitors inside so far.
Okerlund: Thank you Rain Man.
Poffo: Definitely... Definitely fourteen Gene.
Lifting up Doug Williams; Erin O'Grady hurls him from the ring to the floor and smacks his hands together satisfied; only to turn into a huge clothesline courtesy of Devon Hughes; which sends O'Grady over the top rope tumbling after him. After a little victory dance; Hughes sees Rob Van Dam is back in the ring; struggling to toss Mongo Vyle over the ring again and moves in to help; only to receive a huge headbutt from Vyle. The masked Dangerous meanwhile has faceplanted Steven Richards to the mat while Brickhouse Brown and Dick Murdoch team up; taking it to Jim Brunzell and B. Brian Blair respectively. Rick Rude is being weekened in a sleeper hold on the floor by Brian Lawler and Chris Jericho is taking several stomps from Zumhoff whom he proceeds to take to the mat with a legdrag. "Eye of the Tiger" by Foreigner hits the arena full blast as Blue Demon Jr. makes his way down the ramp.As Blue Demon Jr. slides inside; Dangerous looks to gain his aide against Steven Richards; only to receive a hard right from the luchador who begins beating on him. Dick Murdoch meanwhile hits B. Brian Blair with a huge sidewalk slam; leaving him helpless as Brickhouse Brown goes down low and lifting Brunzell's legs; tosses Jumping Jim out of the match. Mongo Vyle is busy beating on both RVD and Devon Hughes, Chris Jericho takes Buck Zumhoff down with a Lou Thesz press, Rick Rude delivers a hue uppercut to Brian Lawler sending him into the ropes; and S.D. Jones' music hits as he makes his way into the match.Getting in the ring; S.D. Jones steps aside as Mongo Vyle flies by him courtesy of a monkey flip by Rob Van Dam. Rick Rude is busy choking Brian Lawler up against the ropes while Brickhouse Brown and Dick Murdoch tag-team B. Brian Blair. Steven Richards looks on while recovering in the corner as Chris Jericho sits on Zumhoff; wailing on him and Blue Demon Jr. takes Dangerous down with a drop toe hold. Devon Hughes, seeing S.D. Jones is free; locks up with the old veteran, who whips him into the corner and takes him down with a hard right. The Canadian National Anthem is heard next as Iron Mike Sharpe enters the foray, taking Dick Murdoch down almost immediate with a running forearm smash. This give B. Brian Blair the opening he needs as he fights his way up and hits Brickhouse Brown with a spinebuster. Jericho is down again; receiving the boots from Zumhoff who holds the ropes as he pummels him, Brian Lawler has Rude trapped in a hammerlock, and Dangerous has succeeded in taking Blue Demon Jr. down with a huge clothesline. D-Von Dudley scoop slams S.D. Jones down to the mat as "Dope" by Debonaire sounds and Rhino appears in his stupid rhino mask.Charging into the ring; Rhino immediately goes after Blue Demon and receives an assist from Dangerous while Mike Sharpe and Dick Murdoch go toe to toe in the middle of the ring. B. Brian Blair has Brickhouse Brown up on the ropes, barely hanging on as he attempts to dump the big man over and Steven Richards has reentered the fighting; teaming up with Rob Van Dam against Mongo Vyle. Rick Rude has broken free of Brian Lawler's hammerlock and after several chops powerbombs him to the floor. Just in time for Jerry Lawler to come to the rescue as The Bill Conti Overture sounds again. Jerry "The King" Lawler slides under the ropes, only to be stomped upon by Rick Rude; who sees him coming. The assault continues until he is turned about and hiptossed by Brian Lawler. Meanwhile Dick Murdoch and Mike Sharpe spill over the top rope; Murdoch saving himself as he grabs the top rope, hanging on as Mike Sharpe plummets out of the match. Brickhouse Brown has battled his way back into the ring and is trading punches with Blair while Rhino and Dangerous hit Blue Demon Jr. with a brutal double powerslam. Going for another lionsault; this time Chris Jericho hits Buck Zumhoff with it, while Rob Van Dam spins Mongo Vyle about, setting him up for a superkick from Steven Richards.Steve Blackman's Theme is the next heard as he enters the ring at number 23. Mongo Vyle is furious and grabbing Steven Richards up into the air; powerbombs him outside the ring; eliminating him. Seeing his tag-team partner treated like this angers Steve Blackman; who goes after Vyle; assisting Rob Van Dam in a series of kicks on the big man. Chris Jericho has Buck Zumhoff hoisted onto the top rope and is struggling to elimiate him while Rick Rude whips Jerry Lawler across the ring; and charging him when he hits the ropes; takes him over the ropes and out of the match with a running high knee. Brickhouse Brown looks tired as B. Brian Blair pounds on his back and neck in the corner and Blue Demon Jr. has begun furiously battling back against both Rhino and Dangerous.Rugged Ronnie Garvin takes the 24th spot and immediately takes on B. Brian Blair, saving Brickhouse Brown in the process. Dangerous and Rhino have Blue Demon Jr. trapped in the corner now and take turns delivering chop after chop. Brian Lawler is the next contestant eliminated when Rick Rude nails him with a delayed back breaker and lifts him over the ropes and dumps him out to the floor. Mongo Vyle staggers about the ring as Steve Blackman hangs onto him in a guillotine choke. Buck Zumhoff is on the ringskirt outside; battling with Chris Jericho who is still in the ring and looking to eliminate him. The Kaientai Theme hits as Yoshihiro Tajiri stalks his way to the ring followed by his manager Mr. Fuji.Okerlund: And there goes Rhino to the floor; after an amazing hurrancanrana from Blue Demon Jr. as Yoshihiro Tajiri enters the King of the Mountain at number 25.
Poffo: Indeed this is where things will get interesting Gene. With only five more entrants in the event; the competitors will be sure to get desperate.
Okerlund: And I think it's important to note that with only five spots remaining we've yet to see several noteable competitors; including both Arn Anderson and The Blitzkrieg.
Poffo: I'd hate to be the last man in the ring with Mangler's Monster; that's for sure Gene. And it looks like S.D. Jones won't have to as Devon Hughes adds another elimination to his belt.
Okerlund: And there goes Mongo Vyle. It took Rob Van Dam nearly the entire match to do it; but with the help of Steve Blackman; the Machiavellan Mauler is out of commission.
Poffo: And look at that. It only took them two seconds afterward to turn on one another
Ich tu der weh by Rammstein hits as The Blitzkrieg appears followed by The Baron Von Raschke.Okerlund: And there goes the neighborhood.
The Blitzkrieg entering the ring; most of the competitors are able to keep their distance; but Brickhouse Brown and B. Brian Blair are too embroiled in their own fight to see him in time; and grabbing both men The Blitkrieg lifts them by their necks as they struggle to escape; and throws them out of the ring. Buck Zumhoff is the next casualty when he lets up on stomping Jericho to attack The Blitzkrieg; who effortlessly hoists the Rock 'N Roller over his head and hurls him from the ring. Ronnie Garvin meanwhile is beating on Dangerous with Blue Demon Jr. when The Blitzkrieg grabs him from behind. Garvin turns and puts up a fight; punching the monster; only to be scooped up and hit with a massive backbreaker over his knee; before being thrown over ropes to the floor like a ragdoll. All fighting in the ring stops as the remaining wrestlers in the ring: Rob Van Dam, Dick Murdoch, Chris Jericho, Dangerous, Rick Rude, Blue Demon Jr., Devon Hughes, Steve Blackman; and Yohihiro Yajiri seem to unify under one cause as "Paradise City" by Guns N Roses hits and Scott Taylor appears on the ramp.Poffo: Oh thank god. The cavalry is here.
Okerlund: I think at this point these guys would be grateful for any help Lanny. Poffo: Personally I think "Superstar" Scott Taylor should help himself and just go home.
Okerlund: And the attack is on. Surely even The Blitzkrieg cannot stand alone against nine men.
Poffo: Eight men Gene. There goes Steve Blackman to the outside. Poor "Steve." Okerlund: Carful Lanny. You almost sounded sympathetic there.
Poffo: Almost.
Okerlund: And there goes Dangerous.
Poffo: We barely knew you. And that idiot Scott Taylor did get in the ring. We should start a countdown. At this point Arn Anderson's music hits and he runs down to the ring. As he climbs the ropes; The Enforcer is barely inside when Scott Taylor comes flying through the air; hits AA and sends them both over the top rope.
Okerlund: I didn't see that one coming. Arn Anderson's been eliminated in under a minute.
Poffo: Four seconds to be precise. Unless you count the time it took him to come down the ramp.
Arn Anderson helps Scott Taylor up outside the ring without incident while inside all hell is breaking lose as The Blitzkrieg plants Yoshihiro Tajiri with a chokeslam before taking Rob Van Dam down with a huge forearm smash. Finally the monster stops as it stands eye to eye with Rick Rude. The two men stare one another down before Rick Rude starts wailing on the monster to no effect. Running back against the ropes; he uses the momentum for a huge dropkick; which staggers The Blitzkrieg back several steps; stunning the audience. Running towards the ropes; Rick Rude looks to hit a flying crossbody; only to be caught in mid-air. The Blitzkrieg then presses Rude high above his head as The Ravishing One struggles to free himself; only to be mercilessly thrown out of the ring to the floor.
Okerlund: Rick Rude's been eliminated! Rick Rude's ben eliminated!
Circus music plays as the 29th entrant emerges from the back on a unicycle. It's Doink the Clown.Poffo: These guys are dead.
Inside the ring The Blitzkrieg continues to decimate the compertition; whipping Blue Demon Jr. so hard into the ropes; that his own momentum carries him over them. With Demon Jr. eliminated; Chris Jericho and Devon Hughes step up to the plate; Devon dropping on his hands and knees behind the monster s Jericho hits him with a dropkick. When Mangler's Monster is unmoved; Jericho just grins at The Blitzkrieg and shrugs. Launching its arm out Blitzkrieg grabs Jericho by the throat as Devon Hughes hits him with a low blow from behind, slamming his fist into his goin. Jericho is released and the two men retreat to the other side of the ring where they share a double high five. The Blitzkrieg stands motionless for a few minutes; before charging the duo with a double clothesline which takes them over the ropes; eliminating them. Finally the last entrant's music arrives; and it is referee Matt Hyson.Poffo: What?! That guy isn't a wrestler.
Okerlund: Well he's in ring gear tonight Lanny.
As Matt Hyson comes down the ramp; he gives Devon Hughes a high five outside the ring.
Devon: Testify!
Mounting the ringskirt; Hyson has to move aside as Dick Murdoch comes sailing out of the ring passed him as he is powebombed to the floor.
Poffo: This is ridiculous. This guy couldn't fight his way out of a wet paperback.
Okerlund: I don't see you standing up.
Back inside the ring The Blitzkrieg has Doink the Clown by the throat as he is about to chokeslam him; when he is suddenly distracted by Matt Hyson who slams into his side with all his body weight; with a battering ram. The Blitzkrieg is unmoved; but when Hyson begins punching him; he pushes Doink across the ring onto his ass. Rob Van Dam looks on stunned as The Blitzkrieg begins swinging at Matt; who dodges each move; just seconds before disaster strikes. Looking to help; Van Dam looks to hit Blitzkrieg with a huge roundhouse kick; only to have his leg caught by the big man who tosses him against the turnbuckle. With everyone else down; Matt Hyson has climbed to the top turnbuckle and leaping through the air lands on the shoulders of The Blitzkrieg. Latching on with one hand; Hyson holds on as The Blitzkrieg bucks and tosses about; trying to dislodge the little man who continuously punches him in the temple. Howling in anger; The Blitzkrieg begins charging about the ring; and seeing their chance Rob Van Dam instructs Doink the Clown to get on all fours by the ropes as The Blitzkrieg comes chargin blindly toward them. As the Blitzkrieg runs into Doink; stumbling over him into the ropes; Rob Van Dam leaps into action and nails the giant with a massive crossbody which takes the big man over the ropes; plummeting to the floor. Van Dam falls back into the ring while Hyson desparately holds onto the rope with one hand as The Blitzkrieg crashes in a heap below him. Doink the Clown meanwhile excitedly jumps up in the ring and claps his hands together; only to receive a giant thrust kick across the face that sends him toppling out of the ring. As he gets to all fours; Rob Van Dam sees it is Yoshihiro Tajiri who has eliminated the clown. Weary from the battle he just fought through; RVD staggers to his feet just in time to see Tajiri punch Matt Hyson in the face while he is still on the outside; sending him to the floor below. When he gets to his feet he is alone in the ring with The Japanese Buzzsaw.Intercontinental Title Match: Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Rob Van Dam Getting to his feet Rob Van Dam delivers kicks fast and furious to Yoshihiro Tajiri who blocks most of them before RVD connects with a massive roundhouse kick to the face. Staggering back; Tajiri shrugs it off before staring at Van Dam and spitting out a tooth. It's obvious that Tajiri was playing possum during the end of the King of the Mountain Battle Royal as he looks remarkable fresh as he nails Van Dam with kick after kick; before nailing spinning RVD about and taking him down with a backbreaker. Going for the cover Tajiri gets a near three count before Van Dam limply kicks out. Picking up his opponent he begins punching and elbowing Rob's back and neck before hitting him with a sitdown powerbomb. Looking for the pin; Tajiri gets another near three count from Long. Standing poised as he waits for Van Dam to rise to his feet; Tajiri lets fly with an enziguiri kick; but Mr. Wednesday Night pops up, grabbing Tajiri between the legs; and hits a desparation suplex with bridge. He hold on tight as Long begins the count. 1... 2... Tajiri kicks out. Rolling away from his opponent; Yoshihiro gets to one knee as RVD crawls onto all fours, sweat dripping from his brow. He wipes it away as Tajiri launches into The Shining Wizard; but seeing him in motion; Van Dam falls flat on his back and as Tajiri lands he grabs him and puts him in a backslide. Tajiri is furious as he hopes out after a two count and isn't paying attention as his legs are swept out from under him. Moving as fast as he can; and hitting the ropes launches into a corkscrew moonsault; landing it on the dazed Buzzsaw. Scrambling for the cover Rob Van Dam hooks Tajiri's leg and picks up the win.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Eastern Championship Wrestling. At this time we'd like to thank our home channel of TNN for allowing us to present to you the King of the Mountain Match to you folks at home in its entirety; commercial free.
Poffo: Could have something to do with that check Bischoff cut them.
Okerlund: And what a Match it was. Lasting over an hour; with 28 men eliminated; until it came down to the final two; where Yoshihiro Tajiri squared off against our new Intercontinental Champion Rob Van Dam. RVD was amazingly only the 6th entrant in tonight's event and was arguably the competitor with the most time in the ring tonight; lasting a full one hour and three minutes before picking up the victory.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. I'll have to give credit where credit is due. Rob Van Dam certainly earned his title of "Mr. Wednesday Night" tonight here at Eastern Championship. In addition to defeating Tajiri; RVD was also instrumental in two key eiliminations; those of both Mongo Vyle and The Blitzkrieg. Two of the largest competitors tonight. The Blitzkrieg easily taking credit for the most eliminations with 12. Though I suppose one could argue Scott Taylor eliminated Arn Anderson.
Okerlund: It'd be a weak argument at best Lanny. But you do raise a valid concern; having eliminated both Vyle and The Blitzkrieg; just how big of a target has "Mr. Wednesday Night" painted on his back?
Poffo: A pretty big one by my estimate Gene. Though I'm sure The Blitzkrieg and The Baron haven't forgotten those morons Matt Hyson and Doink the Clown's roles in the elimination either.
Okerlund: Certainly not. We've received word that we'll be hearing from our new Intercontinental Champion Rob Van Dam right here, next week; on TNN. We're now headed to commercial; but when we return we'll be set for action as Jacqueline Moore defends her Women's Championship against the mystery woman Manami Toyota.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans. The Women's Champion Miss Texas
Jacqueline more is about to get her wish; as she is finally able to gets here hands on Manami Toyota who has been a thorn in her side for the past several weeks.
Poffo: I can't blame Jackie for that. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on Manami myself.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall and is for the Women's Championship. Introducing first; weighing in at 119 lbs. from Dallas, Texas; she is the Women's Champion Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore.
Jacqueline's intro plays as she appears on stage in her cowboy hat and jacket; with the Title around her waist as she waves to the fans. When she gets in the ring she passes the belt to refree Matt Hyson. The lights go dark and mist fills the arena as Manami Toyota looms at the entranceway with her cathedral music playing.
McGillicutty: And her challenger this evening from Shimane, Japan weighing 150 lbs.; Manami Toyota.Woman's Title Match: Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore vs. Manami Toyota When the lights return; Manami Toyota is already standing in the middle of the ring, startling the Women's Champion Jacqueline Moore. Manami Toyota grins evilly when Hyson starts the match; and the two women lock up. Finally pushing Toyota back; Jackie becomes trading punches with her opponent; whom she is clearly getting the better of before Manami whips her across the ring and plants her to the ground with a huge dropkick. Going for a springboad moonsault, Manami finds herself well scouted when she lands only finds a rib-full of knees. Quickly getting to her feet; Jacqueline locks in a rear chinlock; which after a minute; Manami counters as she tosses Jackie over her shoulders. Toyota immediately leaps up and delivers a leg drop to the downed Moore. Pulling her opponent up Manami delivers several blows to the Champion's back before nailing her with a sitout powerbomb. Locking Jackie down for the pinl; Manami gets a two count before Jacqueline kicks out. Both women quickly getting to their feet; Jacqueline is taken down with a hiptoss as she blindly charges in. She is right back up however and hits Manami hard with a leg lariat. Going for the cover she gets a one count before Toyota counters with a small package; which only gets her a two. Back up first; Manami looks to keep the Women's Champ down as she begins hammering on Jacqueline who has only risen to one knee. Battling her way up and onto her feet; Jacqueline locks in a sleeper hold; which women Manami is about to squeeze out of; Moore converts into a neckbreaker. Going for the cover again she gets a near three count. Back in control of the match Miss Texas whips into the ropes; setting her up for a diving elbow; which plants her opponent onto the mat. Leaving her there; Jackie goes for a springboard moonsault of her own and connects for another two. Pushing the Champ off her; Manami rakes Jackie's eyes before leaping on top of her an connecting with several punches. Getting up; Toyota lifts Jacqueline up and nails her with the Japanese Ocean Bomb; laying Jacqueline out cold. Not through with her however; Manami Toyota pulls her up again and talks trash in Japanese as she looks to hit her with a second Bomb. She is in for a surprise however; when Jacqueline grabs her about the waist at the last second and connects with a lightning fast bridging German suplex which puts Toyota away for the three.Okerlund: Looks like Manami Toyota went to the well one too many times with that one. Congrats to Miss Jackie. When we return from commercial; get ready for tonight's big Main Event when "The Macho Man" Randy Savage gets set to defend the World Championship against "Maniac" Matt Borne. Stay tuned.Okerlund: Welcome back from the break Wrestling Fans. Joining me at ringside for tonight's Main Event; is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. What would you say "Maniac" Matt Borne's chances are here tonight against "The Macho Man" Randy Savage, Lanny?
Poffo: Well Gene; I think's in tonight's Championship Match; some delusions are going to be shattered. Borne has been on a lucky streak of late defeating Blue Demon Jr. and Yoshihiro Tajiri the last couple of weeks. Well Gene; they say every dog has his day and tonight it'll be officially done.
Okerlund: You forgot to mention Matt Borne's previous upset over the World Champion which set the stage for this match; where he pinned Randy Savage.
Poffo: Didn't forget Gene. Matt Borne may be crazy; but even he knows the only reason for that "win;" was the aide of that meddler AA Arn Anderson.
Pomp and Circumstance hits as Macho man Randy Savage emerges onto the ramp with Debbie Combs in tow.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall and is for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship. On his way to the ring accompanied by Debbie Combs; from Sarasota, Florida and weighing 237 lbs. he is the Heavyweight Champion of the World; "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Once inside the ring; Macho Man talks to referee Danny Davis for a bit before handing him the belt. Danny hands it to Debbie Combs and instructs her to leave the ring as hard rock music plays and Matt Borne appears on the ramp and grabs his crotch before pointing to a disgusted woman in the audience.
McGillicutty: And his challenger from Elwood City, Pennsylvania weighing 243 lbs.; "The Maniac" Matt Borne.World Title Match: Randy Savage vs. Matt Borne Referee Danny Davis starts the match and watches as the two competitors go to lock up. Matt Borne has other plans however and jams Randy Savage in the eye with his thumb. Davis moves to yell at him; only to be tossed aside by the Maniac as he begins hammering on Savage, knocking the Champion back to the ropes. Irish whipping Savage across the ring proves to be a mistake as Randy goes airborne and takes Borne to the mat with a headscissors takedown. Borne is already up on one knee by the time Macho Man reaches him and begins pounding on his head. Pushing Borne's head against the bottom rope with his foot, using the top for leverage; it is now Savage who is admonished by the ref; Randy breaking the hold at three. As the Champ backs away however; Matt has just the opening he is looking for as he spears Savage; taking him to the ground. Leaping up Maniac Matt begins stomping on The Macho Man for several moments; before the Champ can make it to the bottom rope. Borne is reluctant to stop and is further threatened by Davis. Angry, Savage moves in and the two competitors begin trading punches in the middle of the ring; neither man having the clear advantage. Finally Savage connects with first a thust kick and then a knee to the cut. Pointing his finger in the air; he signals for a suplex to the crowd and is the victim of his own hubris when Borne scoops him up into the air and charging the corner; powerbombs Savage onto the top turnbuckle. Randy Savage writhes in pain as Borne punches him in the face before dragging the Champ into the middle of the ring. Going up top; Borne perches himself on the top turnbuckle; beckoning Randy to stand. Slowly the Champ gets to his feet and still groggy makes his way towar Borne who leaps onto Savage's shoulder; looking for a diving seated senton. The Macho Man doesn't go down however and catching Borne for a second, swings him into the middle of the ring for a powerbomb. Mostly recovered, Randy Savage runs to the corner and like a cat climbs up the turnbuckle. Only up top for a moment, he dives across the ring and connects with a huge diving elbow drop on Borne. Going for the pin; The Macho Man Randy Savage puts The Maniac away.
Lights Fade.

02/16/94 - The Long Island Arena Commack, NYOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to this week's edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling; tonight live at the Commack Arena in Long Island, NY. With me at ringside as usual is my broadcast partner "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: Thank you Gene. Happy to be here. Just signed earlier today; in tonight's Main Event; the Eastern Heavyweight Champion Macho Man Randy Savage is set to take on Jerry "The King" Lawler in a non-Title bout. One would have to assume The King will be looking for a little payback here tonight Gene; as it was Savage who elimated Lawler from the World Title Tournament back in January.
Okerlund: I'd say you're probably correct there Lanny.
Poffo: Of course Gene. I am-
Okerlund: Yes, yes we know. A Genius Lanny. We get it.
Poffo: I was going to say I am the one who talked to Lawler on the phone earlier today Gene. But if you insist. The Genius shoe does fit.
Okerlund: Sigh. Speaking of rivalries; tonight's opening bout is definitely filled with bad-blood as "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho is set to take on "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff. These two men have been at one another's throats since January when Jericho defeated Zumhoff in the same Tournament for World Title.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. Buck Zumhoff has a problem with The Long Island Loud-Mouth. Namely that their every encounter to date has ended with Zumhoff flat on his back. Much like me and Gene's wife. This all culminated at last week's King of the Mountain Match; in which the two men went toe to toe for nearly the entirety of their time in the match. No clear victor having been decided since both of them were eliminated by The Blitzkrieg.
Okerlund: What'd you just say?
Poffo: Quiet Gene.
Rock America by Danger Danger sounds as Chris Jericho emerges from the back, his arms out to his sides as he turns toward the ramp and makes his way down to the ring. He is wearing a t-shirt.McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring at this time weighing in at 226 lbs. from Manhasset, New York; he is "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho.
Getting into the ring; Chris Jericho swaggers about before taking the microphone from Beulah McGillicutty; whom he shocks with a slap on the ass. Jericho: Hello Long Island! Yes, yes. Your hometown hero has returned. And I know what's on all your minds. What the hell is that he's wearing?! Why this rag? It says "Rock 'N Roller" on it. Which of course it means it's a Buck Zumhoff t-shirt. You know. Fall all them millions, and millions; and trillions of Buck Zumhoff fans!! Well I got news for you ol' Bucky. It's old news. All the people right here in this very arena already know it. People all around the world know it. Amish people without electric know it. Hell. Ghandi knows it. And Ghandi? Hell he's dead. But the simple fact of the matter is; why; Bucky Zumhoff has no fans!! None. Nada. Zipp--
Jericho is cut off a Rock You Like a Hurricane by The Scorpions hits and Buck Zumhoff appears onstage with his boombox in hand.Zumhoff: Jericho. You know what your problem is. You're a big fish in a small tank. You're here in Long Island. And sure you have fans. But look at em. Guppies. Sure you're big here; but Buck Zumhoff's got Rock 'N Rollers rooting him on all over the world. From Texas to Manchester to Tokyo; wherever the Rock 'N Roll goes; the fans follow. Ask them about Chris Jericho off of this stupid sliver of Land; and the only answer you'll hear it "Chris who?"
With this Zumhoff starts down the ramp as Jericho removes his shirt and begins stomping on it; grinding it into the mat.
McGillicutty: And his challenger from Minneapolis, Minnesota weighing 220 lbs.; "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff.Match: Chris Jericho vs. Buck Zumhoff Teddy Long pulls the Zumhoff shirt from beneath Jericho's foot as Buck Zumhoff slides into the ring, pops up, and floors Chris Jericho with a lariat takedown. Getting to his feet Zumhoff begins stomping on The Long Island Loud-Mouth. Lifting him up Buck begins beating on Jerich's neck and back before lifting him for a powerbomb; which Jericho counters with a float over DDT; laying Zumhoff out. Chris is unable to capitalize however as he crawls to the corner and uses the ropes to lift himself up. Turning about; Jericho sees Zumhoff is also back on his feet and charges him; connecting with a dropkick that sends Buck across the ring, into the ropes; and out of the ring. Catching his breath while Rock 'N Roll Zumhoff recovers on the outside; Jericho launches himself out of the ring over the top rope; connecting with a plancha that takes both men to the floor as the ref begins the count. Outside the ring Chris is the first man back on his feet; but when he reaches for Zumhoff, the old vetran slaps him away and begins hitting Jericho; whom he then whips into the steel steps. Moving over to his opponent Buck spots the t-shirt crumpled on the floor and uses it to joke Jericho out before rolling him into the ring as Long stops the count at 8. Still recovering from Buck's assault on the outside; Jericho stumbles to his feet as Zumhoff pulls him up once more; and stuns the crowd as he counters by circling behind Zumhoff whom he catches in a backslide pin. Buck kicks out just before the three however. Before getting to his feet again Zumhoff hammers Jericho's head a bit before picking him up and nailing him with a swinging neckbreaker. Climbing on top of The Long Island Loud-Mouth; Buck Zumhoff locks in the sleeper hold and after a few minutes it's obvious he's put Chris Jericho away and Long calls for the bell.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling.
Poffo: Well Gene. The sight of Buck Zumhoff defeating Chris Jericho must've certainly warmed your heart.
Okerlund: I'm not going to lie Lanny. It did.
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team match is scheduled for one fall; making their way first to the ring; weighing a combined 487 lbs.; they are the team of "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grrady and "Iron" Mike Sharpe.
Erin O'Grady appears from the back first and tosses his gold coins to the crowd as Mike Sharpe follows him to the ring.
McGillicutty: And their opponents making their way to the ring at this time; from Tokyo, Japan and accompanied by Mr. Fuji; they are the Eastern Tag-Team Champions Taka Michinoku and Yoshihiro Tajiri; The New Orient Express.
The Kaientai Theme plays as The New Orient Express makes their way to the ring and once inside Mr. Fuji snatches the microphone from Beulah. The Tag Champs meanwhile hand their belts to refree Matt Hyson.Fuji: Ah. Little Leprechaun. Trying to steal gold old from the honorable Japanese? Championship Gold. Perhaps somewhere over rainbow; dreams come true. But not for you. Not today. Not anyday. All you have is fool's gold. For stupid fool American audience. Only Gold that matter is Championsip Gold. Championship Gold you shall never see. Hahaha. And you big, dumb, ugly Canadian. All three words mean same thing in Japanese. Ugly. Dumb. Canadian. Go work at CWF. Perhaps you have more luck with other ugly unskilled Canadians eh? Hahaha. Tag-Team Match: Erin O'Grady & Mike Sharpe vs.The New Orient Express At this point Mike Sharpe pushes past O'Grady and attempts to strike Fuji; but his fist is caught by the lighning quick Taka Michinoku; who backhands him in the face. Hyson starts the match as Fuji exits the ring and O'Grady and Tajiri get to their corners while Taka takes down Mike Sharpe with a springboard crossbody and goes for th pin. Sharpe powers out at one; nearly tossing Michinoku across the ring. Getting back to his feet, Iron Mike sees Taka in tim to catch him by the feet in mid-air as he attempts to hit a dropkick. Michinoku hits the mat hard before Sharpe who still has hold of his legs begins to spin him through the air; eventually tossing him to one corner. Dizzily Taka gets back up only to be smashed into the turnbuckles by Sharpe who comes charging into him. The big man begins beating on Michinoku before whipping him across the ring in the diagonal corner. Looking to charge him again; Mike finds nobody is home as Taka hops up onto the top turnbuckle and watches his opponent collide with the ring post. Dropping back down Taka connects with a sunset flip; going for the pin. Sharpe kicks out at two. Leaving hia opponent to recover; Taka tags Yoshihiro Tajiri in. Stalking Shatpe as he gets to one knee; Tajiri lays out the big man when he connects with The Shining Wizard. Going for the cover, Sharpe once again kicks out at two. Lifting Sharpe to his feet; Tajiri is surprised when Iron Mike counters with a powerbomb before stumbling to his own corner to make the tag to Erin O'Grady. Entering the ring; The Leprechaun immediately run over to Tajiri and hits him with an elbow drop. Back on his feet he begins delivering kicks to The Japanese Buzzsaw who rolls away and gets to one knee. The two men stare at one another a moment before charging. In the ring they deliver kick after kick to each other; before Tajiri sends O'Grady staggering back with a rolling sole kick. Running past Erin; The Buzzsaw springboards off the ropes and delivers an enziguiri kick which plants The Lepreachaun face first onto the mat. Tagging Taka Michinoku in; the two men lift their downed opponent up off the mat; leaving him standing in the middle of the ring; before Taka and Tajiri each run to either side and charging back at Erin O'Grady smash his back and chest at the same time with a brutal double dropkick. Yoshihiro rolls out of the ring as Taka Michinoku makes the pin. Hyson hands The New Orient Express their belts back as Mr. Fuji comes in to congratulate them. He is covetously holding O'Grady's cauldron of gold coins. Looking down at the conquered man; Fuji takes two coins from the cauldron and places them over Erin's eyes.
Poffo: That move was absolutely brutal Gene. Mr. Fuji is sending a message loud and clear to the rest of the roster. Bekarazu yakkai motte OrientoSokutatsu. Or Don't mess with the Orient Express for the uneducated folks at home like you Gene.Okerlund: Welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. We're about set for our next match; in which will be the inaugural bout for a competitor we first saw at last week's King of the Mountain Event. The 29th entrant in the Event; Doink the Clown was instrumental in the elimination of the monster known only as The Blitzkrieg.
Poffo: If by instrument you mean a tool used by Rob Van Dam; then I suppose you're technically correct Gene. But the man was nothing but a gloried banana peel; used to trip up the giant.
Okerlund: Kind of fitting if you ask me.
Poffo: Thankfully no one did. The man's an idiot. There's no place for clowns in wrestling.
Okerlund: Says the man who manages "The Steves."
Poffo: Don't associate me with those idiots. I have little control over what they do.
Okerlund: Unless of course you were to manage them.
Poffo: Shut up Gene.
Heavy metal assaults the arena as Mongo Vyle appears from the back; one arm raised.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Hell's Kitchen, NY weighing in at 326 lbs.; he is "The Machiavellian Mauler" Mongo Vyle.
As Mongo enters and begins pacing the ring; circus music plays. Doink the Clown comes from the back riding a unicycle.
McGillicutty: And his opponent rejected from Barnum and Bailey's Circus and weighing 243 lbs.; "The Master of Shadow Puppetry" Doink the Clown.Match: Mongo Vyle vs. Doink the Clown Referee Danny Davis starts the match mere seconds before Mongo Vyle begins beating on Doink the Clown. When he goes to Irish whip Doink however; Mongo is stunned when the Clown's hand comes off. Taking advantage of his opponent's confusion; Doink his Vyle with a huge uppercut causing the big man to stagger back. Attacking Vyle, Doink has the advantage for a while before they start going punch for punch in the middle of the ring. Clearly dominating The Clown; Vyle smashes Doink in the face over his knee; causing his opponent's nose to emit a squeaking noise. This only appears to anger Mongo further as he delivers a huge sidewalk slam to the helpless clown. Hooking his opponent's leg as he goes for the pin; Mongo Vyle picks up the win.As Eastern Championship returns; Eric Bischoff is shown backstage.Bischoff: Hello ladies and gentleman; and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. As many of you know I'm ECW President Eric Bischoff and tonight we're going to hear from Eastern Championship's new Intercontinental Champion; Rob Van Dam.
With that the camera pans to a dressing room door; which after several seconds opens to reveal RVD with the Intercontinental Title over his shoulder. He approaches Bischoff.RVD: Hey Eric.
Bischoff: Hello Rob and congratulations on the big win here last week on TNN. I was wondering if we could get a word from you for the folks at home on how it feels to wear the Championship Gold?
RVD: I'm not gonna lie Eric. It feels pretty damned good. But I knew. The folks at home knew; it was only a matter of time before everyone's favorite wrestle Rob Van Dam became a Champion. I'm surprised it took this long. And tonight I'm going to out there and show everyone just why they call me "Mr. Wednesday Night." Cause just cause I've got a Championship Belt doesn't mean I'm just going to sit around collecting a check. I'm here to wrestle Eric. So watch out world. Here comes Rob... Van... Dam.
Eric watches RVD point to his shoulders before leaving. The camera then cuts back to ringside.
Okerlund: Big words tonight from the Eastern Intercontinental Champion Rob Van Dam. He'll have to back up those words in the ring momentarily as he takes on "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch and "The Killer Bee" B. Brian Blair in a Triple- Threat Match.
Poffo: I don't think he'll have much trouble there Gene. Since debuting on Eastern Championship Rob Van Dam has excelled in these kind of matches. And let's face facts; last week he went toe to toe with the entire roster in that King of the Mountain Match-up even eliminating "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg.
Okerlund: With a little help of course Lanny. But one has to wonder. RVD was in that match-up for over an hour last week. That's certainly going to have to play a factor here tonight.
Poundcake by Van Halen lays as Rob Van Dam emerges from the back with his Championship belt over his shoulder. He points to his shoulders three times as the fans chant "Rob... Van... Dam.
McGillicutty: Introducing at this time from Battle Creek, Michigan and weighing in at 232 lbs. He is the Intercontinental Champion "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam.
RVD points to his shoulders again as they chant "Rob... Van... Dam" again before he heads down the ramp to the ring. Another One Bits the Dust then plays as Dick Murdoch appears on the ramp and waves his hat into the air.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring now at 277 lbs. from Waxahachie, Texas; "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch.
As he gets into the ring he shakes hands with RVD when an annoying buzzing is heard.
McGillicutty: And the final competitor in this Triple-Threat Match scheduled for one fall. From Gary, Indiana at 222 lbs. he is one half of The Killer Bees; B. Brian Blair.Triple-Threat Match: Rob Van Dam vs. Dick Murdoch vs. B. Brian Blair As Teddy Long starts the match Dick Murdoch pushes Rob Van Dam from behind, sending him into the arms of B. Brian Blair who locks him into a full nelson. Blair holds a struggling RVD steady while Murdoch works over the young man's ribs with a barrage of punches. Finally Van Dam squeezes free and grabbing Brian's head; takes him down with him for a sitout jawbreaker; which sends Blair reeling back until RVD knocks him to the floor with a legsweep. Van Dam isn't finished however as he jumps up and delivers a spinning wheel kick to Murdoch from the floor. Staggering back; Murdoch doesn't have any time to recover as Van Dam begins hitting him with chop after chop across the ring until he falls into the ropes. Fending off several of RVD's blows; Murdoch reovers enough to mount an offense as the two men battle across the ring. Back on his feet however; Blair grabs RVD from behind and whips him into the ropes. As he makes his way back to them; Murdoch and Blair nail him with a double hip toss; sending him to the floor. Running toward Van Dam, Blair hits him with a seated senton; before Dick Murdoch lifts him up and positions him for a piledriver. Grabbing his opponent's legs however; RVD pulls them out from under Dick and flips him over onto his back; looking for the pin. He gets a two count before Blair breaks the count by stomping on Mr. Wednesday Night's head. Grabbing Rob; Brian begins hitting him in the face and head before turning him facing away from him and taking him down over his knee with a backbreaker. Going for the pin, Blair gets a two count before RVD kicks out hard. Back on their feet Murdoch and Blair lift RVD up together and whip him into the ropes. On his way back however; he surprises them with a double clothesline; which takes all three men down to the mat. Rob Van Dam is up first and whips Blair into the turnbuckle. Charging him he hops over The Killer Bee, tossing him back into the ring as he climbs up to the top turnbuckle. Looking for the Frogsplash on Blair; Dick Murdoch gets up to soon; so RVD instead hits him with a flying crossbody. Going for the pin he only gets a two count out of it when Blair nails him with a fist drop. Lifted up by Blair who is nailing him with punches again; Rob Van Dam counters with a monkey flip; sending his opponent sailing across the ring. Leaping up now RVD goes for the Rolling Thunder; but Blair has obviously scouted his opponent and throws up his knees, driving them into his opponent's back. Van Dam is in pain when Blair once again picks him up hammering him and whips him into the ropes. On his way back Van Dam connects with a headscissors takedown. Leaping up to his feet; RVD sprints into the corner, up the turnbuckle; and connects with the Five Star Frogsplash while Murdoch is recovering outside the ring. Going for the pin he picks up the win.Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. What an amazing match we just witnessed from our Intercontinental Champion Rob Van Dam before the break.
Poffo: Damn Gene. Go start a fan club or something. Taking nothing away from him though; RVD is one talented athlete.
Okerlund: Is that a bout of honesty I hear?
Poffo: Gene. I'm a Genius. Therefor everything I say is true. How much more honest could I get?
Velvet McIntyre's intro starts as she makes her way to the ring.
McGillicutty: Making her way to the ring weighing 150 lbs.; from Vancouver, Canda she is Velvet McIntyre.
As she gets into the ring with referee Matt Hyson; Hawaiin music plays as Leilani Kai appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: And introducing her opponent from Honolulu, Hawaii weighing 162 lbs. "The Hawaiin Princess" Leilani Kai.Match: Velvet McIntyre vs. Leilani Kai As the match starts, Velvet McIntyre locks up with Leilani Kai who immediately catches her in a headlock. Velvet struggles for a while before pushing Leilani off her and elbows her in the jaw before whipping Kai across the ring. Charging her opponent, Velvet takes Leilani down to the mat with a beautiful hurracanrana. Waiting for The Hawaiin Princess to get back to her feet; McIntyre waits for her to charge and takes her back down to the mat with a hiptoss. Angered; Kai leaps back to her feet only to fall victim to a second hiptoss. Moving over her opponent Velvet moves to lift Kai by her arm but instead receives a poke to the eye. Leaping up; Kai grabs McIntyre by the head and viciously slams her head down to the mat before repeatedily stomping on her. Velvet attempts to roll away but Leilani follows her and lifting her up nails her with a vertical suplex. Going for the cover she gets a near two count. Growling in anger; Kai kneels beside McIntyre and begins hammering on her head. Then dragging her to her feet; Leilani whips her opponent acros the ring. Looking to hit her with a big boot; Leilani is caught by surprise in a roll-up by Velvet who gets a two count on Kai. Both women returning to their feet at the same time; McIntyre takes the offense; dropping Leilani with a huge clothesline. Stalking her prey, when Leilani gets back to her feet she kicks her in the gut setting her up for a DDT. Leilani however scoops Velvet McIntyre off her feet and throwing her up onto her shoulders powerslams her back down to the mat flattening her. Covering her; Leilani Kai gets the victory.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans. And welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. We now head backstage where Eastern Championship President Eric Bischoff is in discussion with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Anderson: Listen here Eric. It's like I've been saying. Two weeks ago I pinned Randy Savage right there in the middle of that ring. Pinned the World Champion. And according to Eastern Championship charter that means I've earned a Title shot. Now I'm not like some of the other guys her. I'm not here for the glitz. For the glamour. For the fame. I'm Arn Anderson and I'm here to wrestle. Give me the match Eric.
Bischoff: Arn. Arn. There's nothing I can do. You're right. The rule is pin the champ; get the Title shot. But you pinned him in a Tag-Team Match. That rule only applies to Singles Matches. I'm sorry.
Anderson: I can't believe you're protectin-
Savage: Oooh yeah.
Randy Savage enters from the other side and both him and Arn give one another the evil eye.Savage: Ole Double A. Yeah. You talk a good game. Here to wrestle. No nonsense. I dig that. Yeah. And you want my Title. The Eastern Heavyweight Championship. Well it ain't gonna happen. You see Arn you're what my momma liked to call a loser. Always running yer mouth. Tellin' everybody how great you are. Dig. But when it comes time to step up? Move up the ladder? You choke. Just like that joke. Maniac Matt Borne. Yeah.
Anderson: Quit running your yap Savage. You know it. I know it. I earned this Title shot. Truth be told I earned that Championship. It belongs on my waist. And if it weren't for you hiding behind that skirt? It would be. Right here where it belongs. On The Enforcer. But that's the past Randy. You got one over on AA. I get it. I "dig" it. And last week? You beat Matt Borne. He had his chance. Now all I want is mine. Savage: Hm. No. See? I don't think you git it Arn. You're just not Championship material. Look at you. Balding? Check. Beer gut? Check. All the signs of a has-been Arn. And I'm tired of washed up never should've beens running their mouths. Hogan, Flair, Caras, Sting; all running their mouths. Yap, yap, yap, yap, yap. Trying to prove they still got what it takes. Well they don't. And neither do you.
Anderson: Prove it. Put that loose tongue of yours to the test Randy. Next week. One match. No interference. Ol' Has-Been Arn Anderson versus Macho Man Randy Savage. Afraid of losing that belt? You should be. But don't worry. I don't even care about that as much as I do kicking your yellow ass. No Title shot. Just you and me in that there ring. So what do you say "Macno Man"?
Savage: Heh. You had to go and say it. Macho Man Randy Savage may be many things. And some of those things may not be good. But one thing he isn't Arn Anderson is a coward. You want a fight? You've got it. But if I win this here match you're going to leave this promotion with your tail between your legs. And you aren't going to be looking back. Cause you're going to hang up them boots of yours once and for all. Dig that?
Anderson: Randy?... You're on.
Arn Anderson holds out his hand and Randy roughly shakes it.
Savage: Yeah.
The cameras then return to ringside.
Okerlund: I can't believe what I just heard Lanny. Next week "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is putting his career on the line against the Eastern Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage. One week from today may be the last time we ever see AA in that ring.
Poffo: News so shocking he had to say it twice folks. And frankly if you ask me; this was an uneducated decision on the part of The Enforcer. Since coming to Eastern Championship Arn Anderson has had two brutal singles matches with Savage; both of them ending with The Macho Man the victor.
Okerlund: Not without some controversy however. Arn Anderson had the Champion beat dead to rights several weeks ago. Until that hussy Debbie Combs interfered.
Poffo: That's a matter of opinion Gene. You know as well as I do; that in that squared circle; it only takes a second to turn a match around. Sure Combs did interfere; but Savage couldn't have been counted out entirely prior.
Okerlund: Well we'll just have to wait and see. At any rate next week we can look forward to one hell of a Main Event. That's guaranteed.
The Bill Conti Overture sounds as Brian Lawler appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. On his way to the ring now from Memphis, Tennessee at 213 lbs.; he is Brian Lawler. Brian Lawler hops into the ring as hard rock plays.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Elwood City, Pennsylvania weighing in at 243 lbs. "Maniac" Matt Borne.Match: Brian Lawler vs. Matt Borne Danny Davis starts the match as Brian Lawler locks up with Matt Borne. Borne easily overpowers Lawler; whom he throws backward. Moving over his fallen opponent; Borne begins putting the the boots to Brian; whom he then lifts to one knee and elbows in the head. Irish whipping Lawler across the ring Borne hits a big boot laying him out and going for the pin gets a two count. Angry now; Borne lifts his young opponent up and jabs him in the eye, receiving a warning from Davis before he lifts Brian up onto his shoulders and walks to the corner to deliver a powerbomb on the top turnbuckle. Brian sees it coming hower and is able to wiggle free, falling behind Borne whom he takes down with a bulldog. As Maniac Matt rises to one knee, Lawler begins pounding on his head and delivers a few kicks to his sides before Borne grabs him by the head a delivers a brutal headbutt that plants Brian on his ass. Lifting Brian up; Borne looks to put him away with a German suplex; but Lawler once again kicks out at two. Frustrated Matt sits on the floor beside him and pulls at his own hair. Turning about he begins punching Lawler in the head before making another cover. When Brian kicks out a one; Borne is furious and lifting him to his feet begins hammering him in the head and neck before locking him in a full nelson; yelling at him to submit. When that fails Borne once again whips him into the ropes. On his return however; Brian Lawler surprises Borne with a jumping leg lariat out of nowhere. Scrambling for the pin; Borne kicks out just after Davis hits the three. Seeing the danger he's in; Brian quickly rolls out of the ring and makes his way up the ramp while rubbing his head.Okerlund: Welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling ladies and gentlemen. We're just about set for tonight's Main Event wherein Jerry "The King" Lawler will face Eastern Heavweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage in a non-Title bout. Before the break we witnessed a tremendous upset by Jerry's son Brian Lawler as he defeated former number one contender "Maniac" Matt Borne. Brian has been on a roll of late as along with his father Jerry Lawler; this past Saturday they defeated "Superstar" Bill Dundee and "Nature Boy" Buddy Landell in Tag-Team action at My Bloody Valentine's: A Memphis Wrestling Reunion; which saw young Lawler pin Landell in the Main Event. One has to wonder if Jerry Lawler will be on top of his game here tonight.
Poffo: If not, that's what he gets for moonlighting Gene. As for Matt Borne; I don't think of it so much as an upset; as a return to business as usual for Borne. Let's face facts, prior to the fluke win over Savage; which really should be credited to AA anyway; Borne ended most of his matches flat on his back.
Okerlund: Why don't you tell Borne that?
Poffo: I would. Not to his face of course.
Okerlund: During a nice phone conversation perhaps?
Poffo: Depends. Is it long distance?
Pomp and Circumstance sounds.
McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a non-Title Match. Introducing first from Sarasota, Florida weighing 237 lbs.; he is the Eastern Heavyweight Champion of the World; "Macho Man Randy Savage.
Randy Savage emerges from the back with his Championship Belt around his waist accompanied by Debbie Combs. As he gets in the ring and hands referee Teddy Long his belt; The Bill Conti Overture plays again.
McGillicutty: And his opponent making his way to the ring at this time weighing in at 243 lbs.; he is Memphis, Tennessee's favorite son; Jerry "The King" Lawler.Main Event: Randy Savage vs. Jerry Lawler Before the match starts Randy Savage extends his hand to Jerry Lawler; but when Lawler goes to accept it; he retracts it. Hyson starts the match and Lawler goes on the attacker; getting the first shot on Savage as the two men begin trading punches. Grabbing The King, Savage whips him into the ropes; Lawler surprised the Champion with a huge shoulder block on his way back which knocks him to the ground. On his ground Lawler begins beating on Randy with hard rights; before jumping up and dropping down with an elbow drop. Going for the pin Jerry gets a one count on Savage. Climbing to one knee as Lawler begins hitting him in the head again; Randy begins fighting his way back to his feet before taking The King down with a tremendous clothesline. With Jerry in a seated position Macho Man puts him in a rear chinlock while at the same time driving his knee into The King's back. Forcing his way back up to his feet, Lawler manages to turn himself about and kicks Savage in the guy before nailing him with a delayed vertical suplex. With Savage layed out on the mat; The King doesn't go for the cover, instead climbing to the top turnbuckle. As Lawler goes airborne however, Randy rolls out of the way and Jerry crashes fist first into the mat. While Savage gets back to his feet; Jerry grabs his hand screaming in pain. Walking over to him; Savage kicks his opponent in the face; before stepping on his arm pinning it to the floor as he hits a jumping knee drop on The King's injured hand. Grabbing Lawler's hand Savage wrenches it before applying an armbar; which he holds for a full three minutes while Jerry refuses to tap. Finally in frustration Randy breaks the hold and getting up picks up Lawler whom he elbows in the back before Jerry surprises him by pushing him away. Jerry Lawler battles back with his left uninjured hand; driving Savage into the ropes before he whips him across the ring. On his way back from the ropes, Randy grabs Lawler and sends him sailing in an Irish whip of his own; setting him up for a flapjack which connects. Lifting the dazed King back to his feet; Randy Savage scoops him up and hits a piledriver before going for the cover and picking up the win.
Lights Fade.

02/23/94 - Hartford Civic Center Hartford, CTOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to another installment of Eastern Championship Wrestling. I'm Mean Gene Okerlund and with me at ringside is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo; joining you live here tonight at the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, CT. Tonight's Main Event is a doozy as Macho Man Randy Savage takes on The Enforcer Arn Anderson in a match with one unique stipulation. If Arn Anderson looses he must retire from wrestling.
Poffo: A bad move in my opinion Gene. Anderson has lost cleanly to the Eastern Heavyweight Champ Macho Man in the past. He may do so again tonight and will have no one to blame but himself. As he did agree to the stipulation set by Savage. Okerlund: Only because that coward wouldn't get in the ring otherwise Lanny. He knows Arn Anderson should be the World Champ already. And if he had given him the Title shot I feel he earned; he'd likely prove that once again here tonight.
Poffo: Possibly Gene. However we currently have an important match underway.
Okerlund: Rockin' Robin?
Poffo: ... Maybe.McGillicutty: The following non-Title Match is scheduled for one fall. On her way to the ring Charlotte, North Carolina at 145 lbs. Rockin' Robin.
Rockin Robin by Bobby Day plays as Robin makes her way down to ringside. Upon entering a ring she playfully blows a kiss to Poffo. Jacqueline's intro then starts.
McGillicutty: And her opponent from Dallas, Texas and weighing 130 lbs.; she is the Eastern Woman's Champion; "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore.Match: Rockin' Robin vs. Jacqueline Moore Referee Matt Hyson starts the match as the two women lock up. Rockin' Robin quickly circles about Jacqueline Moore and locks her in a full nelson; which the Women's Champ gets out of by flipping her opponent over her shoulders and down to the mat. Holding her opponent's arm still; Moore delivers a double-leg drop to Robin before locking in an armbar. Punching her way free, Rockin' Robin gets to her feet first and takes the Champ down with a clothesline before hitting a drop elbow. When Robin gets back to her feet however she is taken down by a toehold courtesy of Jacqueline. Lifting Robin up, the two women briefly slug it out before Moore Irish whips Rockin' Robin and connects with a bridging German suplex on the rebound for the win.
Okerlund: Sorry Lanny. But the Women's Champion Jacqueline Moore looked phenomenal out there tonight.
Poffo: That's quite alright Gene. Unlike their male counterparts; I prefer female competitors on their backs.
Okerlund: Ouch.Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Eastern Championship Wrestling; as always on our home station of TNN. We're about set for our next match in which Devon Hughes will take on Brian Lawler. Lawler has been making some noise, picking up quite a few wins here at Eastern Championship over the past several weeks. Last week even defeating former number one contender for the Eastern Heavyweight Title; Matt Borne.
Poffo: Surely most of that noise can be attrivbuted to his father Jerry "The King" Lawler. Never was a father more proud or more annoying than The King. Okerlund: An excellent point Lanny. Brian Lawler being a second generation wrestler; he was born into this business. I see a bright future for this young man.
Poffo: Undoubtedly. Being born with a preverbial wrestling fork and spoon in your mouth must make life easier. It must be nice to have daddy paving the way for you.
Okerlund: Pot meet kettle.
Poffo: I have no idea what you're talking about.
Okerlund: Of course you wouldn't.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from New Rochelle, New York weighing 280 lbs.; Devon Hughes.
Devon appears on the ramp as his intro plays.
Devon: Testify!
McGillicutty: And his opponent making his way to the ring from Memphis, Tennesee at 213 lbs.; Brian Lawler.Match: Devon Hughes vs. Brian Lawler Devon Hughes and Brian Lawler lock up as Danny Davis starts the match. Hughes almost immediately spins Lawler about and grabbing him; leaps up and plants Brian ass first on the mat with him. Brian is about to fall over sidways when Devon grabs him by the arm and applies an armwrench. Brian cries out in pain, but slowly staggers to his feet and begins punching Devon in the face. Once the big man's grip loosens; Lawler whips him to the ropes and hits him with a dropkick. Going for the cover he gets a two count. Devon kicks out hard and is soon back on his feet battering Lawler whom he scoops up and slams back to the mat. Dropping forward onto Lawler, Devon then smashes him with a huge headbutt before going for the cover. Brian barely kicks out before the three. Pulling him to his feet, Devon whips him against the ropes; being taken by surprise when Brian leaps into the air and takes him down with a jumping leg lariat. Looking to make the pin he gets a two count on Hughes. A bit frustarted, Brian Lawler gets to his feet first and waits for the dazed Devon Hughes to do the same before hitting him with a full nelson facebuster. Going for the pin again Lawler gets the win.
The camera cute backstage and we see Manami Toyota down on one knee. The camera then pans upward and we see she is kneeling before Papa Shango. Shango: Rise Manami Toyota. Rise. You have failed Papa Shango and the Dark Lords who sent you hither to gain a foothold in this cesspool that is Eastern Championship Wrestling. You have displeased us in not capturing the Women's Championship. In not destroying its Champion. Failed so decisively, without fail; that the Dark Lords have summoned me here. Say I have been wasting my time in the domination of that third rate WCCW and called me here. To help you Manami Toyota; in the conquest of darkness over ECW. Our reign of terror shall begin tonight and shall not end until our evil reigns over this entire promotion. Do not fail me in this Manami Toyota. For it shall be your life on the line. So declares Papa Shango.Steve Blackman's intro is playing and he is already in the ring when Eastern Championship Wrestling returns.
McGillicutty: And introducing the second competitor in this Fatal Four-Way Match; weighing in at 320 lbs. and recently returned for the Depths of Hell; he is "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango.
Smoke fills the arena as Papa Shango makes his way down the ramp followed by Manami Toyota.
Poffo: This guy gives me the willies.
Okerlund: You don't really believe in voodoo do you?
Poffo: Of course not. Like all true geniuses; I'm a scientologist. But the fact he actually believes it creeps me out a little.
"Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen plays as The Junk Yard Dog appears on stage and barks at the crowd.
McGillicutty: Now on his way to the ring; from Charlotte, North Carolnia weighing 280 lbs. he is one half of the tag-team Deep South; The Junkyard Dog. While JYD hands his chaing over to referee Teddy Long; Ronnie Garvin appears on the ramp and makes his way to the ring.
McGillicutty: And the final competitor in this match; hailing from Quebec, Canada at 231 lbs.; he is "The Rugged One" Ronnie Garvin.Fatal Four-Way Match: Steve Blackman vs. Papa Shango vs. The Junk Yard Dog vs. Ronnie Garvin As the match begins; Steve Blackman goes on the offensive; delivering kick after kick to the big man Papa Shango. Meanwhile, Ronnie Garvin grabs the head of a distracted Junkyard Dog and begins punching him. JYD and Garvin begin going punch for punch while Shango takes Blackman dow with a legdrag. Stomping on The Silent Assassin, Shango follows up with a drop elbow to him before going for the pin; Blackman kicking out at two. Junkyard hits Garvin with a big bionic elbow before scooping him up for a sidewalk slam. When The Dog goes for the cover, Shango breaks the count at two. Angered by the interruption; Junkard Dog gets up and begins trading punches with Papa Shango as Steve Blackman delivers a knee drop to the head of the downed Ron Garvin who kicks out at one when Blackman makes the cover. Fighting his way back to his feet as Blackman punches him in the head; Rugged Ronnie hits his young adversary with an atomic drop whiile Shango flapjacks JYD to the ground. When The Rugged One locks in the figure four leglock on Steve Blackman, he is about to tap when Shango nails Garvin with a double axe handle. Lifting him up over his shoulder; Papa Shango nails Ronnie Garvin hard with an inverted shoulderbreaker; and making the cover wins the match.
Okerlund: And there you have it folks. Papa Shango giving a dominating performance here on his debut match here at Eastern Championship. Stay tuned for after the break; we'll be set for some Tag-Team action.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Eastern Championship Wrestling. I'm Mean Gene Okerlund and with me at ringside is my broadcast partner Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: Once again with feeling Gene. It's "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Okerlund: Right. In addition to being a Genius, Lanny is also perhaps the number one fan of the tandem going up against Eastern Tag Champs The New Orient Express in our next match; The Killer Bees.
Poffo: Wrong on both counts. First off it's "THE Genius." Not a Genius. Though I appreciate the dig. And second I'm not a Killer Bee fan. I only like B. Brian Blair. But I can't help it. I just love his Pringle potato chips.
Poffo takes a can of Pringles from beneath the broadcast table and eats one. An annoying buzzing is heard throughout the arena.
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team Match is scheduled for one fall. Making their way to the ring first at a combined weight of 457 lbs. pounds; they are "Jumping" Jim Brunzell and B. Brian Blair; The Killer Bees.
The Kaientai Theme is then heard as The New Orient Express appears on the ramp and holds their Tag Titles up above their heads as Mr. Fuji appears in the middle of them.
McGillicutty: And their challengers in thie non-Title bout; hailing from Tokyo, Japan and weighing in at a combined 370 lbs. they are the Eastern Tag-Team Champions The New Orient Express; Taka Michinoku and "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri. Making their way down to ringside; The New Orient Express enters the ring and Mr. Fuji takes the microphone from Beulah McGillicutty.Fuji: Merushi Ms. McGillicutty. Killer Bees. Buzz. Buzz. All I hear backstage. Annoying buzz buzz in ears. Wake up honorable Mr. Fuji. However; I have solution for you annoying bugs... Fly swatter!
Mr. Fuji produces a fly swatter from his jacket and smacks Jim Brunzell in the face with it causing B. Brian Blair to push the old manager back into the ropes.Tag-Team Match: The Killer Bees vs. The New Orient Express B. Brian Blair starts the match locking up with Yoshihiro Tajiri. Tajiri breaks out with an elbow to Blair's chest; and after kneeing him in the gut; faceplants him with a cutter. Running across the ring before Brian has a chance to recover; but before he can land a bulldog on him; The Killer Bee leaps up and nails him with a jumping corkscrew roundhouse kick. Back on his feet, Blair grabs his opponent's legs and put The Japanese Buzzsaw in a Boston Crab. Tajiri screams in pain and reaches for the ropes; but is too far away to reach them. Struggling in the hold Yoshihiro manages to flip himself onto his back and with his legs pushes Blair down to the floor. Leaping up, Tajiri jumps to make a tag to Taka Michinoku; who comes in swinging on Blair. Blair takes several hits to the head and chest before he is whipped across the ring and knocked to the floor via a dropkick. Quickly hitting Blair again with an elbow drop on the mat; Michinoku goes up top and hits an amazing moonsault. Going for the pin; he gets to two before Jim Brunzell storms in and knocks Blair free with a double axe handle. Back on his feet with Brunzell in the ring; Blair picks up Michinoku and they give him a double Irish whip into the ropes nailing him with a double superkick on his return. Blair is unable to capitalize however as Tajiri makes his prescence known; taking both Killer Bees down with a springboard double clothesline off the top rope. While Matt Hyson tries to restore order by ordering Brunzell out of the ring; behind his back Tajiri hits Blair with the Asian Mist in the face; giving Michinoku enough time to recover. Hyson looks angry when he sees Brian Blair green faced and screaming; and forces Tajiri back to his corner; getting a little physical with him while Taka attacks the blind Bee from behind hitting him with a flying armbar; which has Blair tapping out within seconds; giving the match to The New Orient Express.Rick Rude's strip theme plays as he appears on the ramp in his robe and makes his way down the ramp
McGillicutty: On his way to the ring at this time from Robbinsdale, Minnesota weighing in at 251 lbs.; he is "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude.
Rick Rude enters the ring takes the microphone from Beulah.Rude: Cut the music. What I'd like to do right now; is give each and every lady here a look at what they came here to this arena to see. A look at the sexiest man alive; Rick Rude. But first I'm going to choose one of you lucky ladies from the audience to help me remove... this here robe. So who's it gonna be ladies? You?... You?... You? Nah. I think tonight I have a very special lady in mind to give this honor, this priviledge. She's the first lady here at Eastern Champion. So Beulah. If you will? Beulah looks embarrassed as she moves to take Rude's robe off as his strip theme hits. Rick has a little surprise for her however; when he grabs her and kisses her. His music is soon replaced by Debonaire by Dope as Rhino emerges from the back and a flustered Beulah returns to her post.
McGillicutty: --And... um, his challenger at this time; from Detroit, Michigan weighing 270 lbs.; he is "The Man-Beast" Rhino.Match: Rick Rude vs. Rhino When Danny Davis starts the match Rick Rude locks up with Rhino as they test one another's strength. After a bit of a struggle Rude wins and pushing Rhino back, causing his disgruntled opponent to come at hims swinging. Rude takes several hits to the head before firing back and whipping Rhino across the ring. On his return Rude hops over The Man-Beast; but when he bounces back from a second set of ropes; The Ravishing One nails him with a crossbody which earns him a one count. Getting to his feet first Rick begins battering on Rhino who is still down on one knee. Roaring in anger Rhino battles back and finally pushes Rude back; knocking him on his ass. Lifting a stunned Rude up; Rhino whips him hard into the corner before nailing his with The Gore; flattening Rude. Going for the pin he gets a two count before Rude kicks out. Back on his feet Rhino puts the boots and then the fists to Rick as he fights his way back up and nails Rhino with a spinebuster. Going for another cover Rude gets a two before putting Rhino in a sleeper hold while still on the ground. Struggling in his opponent's grasp; Rhino eventually worms his way out; but is slower to get to his feet then Rude who kicks him in the face as he goes to stand. When Rude goes for it again; Rhino catches his foot and takes Rick down with a legdrag. Waiting for Rude to rise to his feet; Rhino charges in looking for The Gore again; but the agile Rick Rude uses Rhino's shoulders to push him up, over and behind The Mean-Beast and locking in the full nelson; hits Rhino hard with the Rude Awakening. Going for the cover; Rude gets the three count with ease.
Okerlund: Ladies and gentlemen. Rick Rude is back.
Poffo: He never left.
Okerlund: What I meant to say Lanny was that after his attack by The Blitzkrieg several weeks ago; it was obvious Rick Rude has been fighting injured. Tonight however he looked in fine form.
Poffo: Then you should've said that in the first place Gene.
Okerlund: Whatever. Our next contest sees Steven Richards take on a newcomer here at Eastern Championship; Doink the Clown.
Poffo: I loathe Doink the Clown.
Okerlund: Tell us how you really feel.
Poffo: Fine Gene. I will. First off the guy dresses like a clown. Literally. Second. He's a loser. And third and perhaps his worst offence of the evening; he actually has me rooting for Steven Richards.
McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. On his way to the ring now from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania weighing 215 lbs.; Steven Richards. Everyday by Buddy Holly plays as Steven Richards makes his way to the ring. Once inside he talks to referee Teddy Long as circus music begins to play. Doink the Clown appears on stage with a monkey on a leash.
Poffo: Oh great. He brought my ex-wife.
McGillicutty: And his opponent this evening; recently rejected from the Barnum and Bailey's Circus weighing 243 lbs.; her is "The Professor of Pie Fights" Doink the Clown.
Poffo: Did I mention I hate Doink the Clown? Okerlund: Once or twice.Match: Steven Richards vs. Doink the Clown Starting the match; Doink the Clown points to a flower on his lapel and when Steven Richards goes to look; he is sprayed with water. As he wipes his face; Doink sucker punches Richars and starts nailing him with a barrage of rights and lefts. Recovering as he falls back into the ropes; Richards starts going punch for punch with Doink who comes in close and plants Steven with a side Russian legsweep. Going for the pin Doink almost gets a two. Smacking Richards on the head as he gets to one knee; Doink soon finds himself down on the mat via an armdrag. Still holding the clown's arm; Richards hits him with a double legdrop. Running into the ropes while Doink is down; Doink surprises his opponent when he hops up and scoops him up. Richards however wiggles free, avoiding the scoopslam; and falling behind Doink catches him in a sleeper hold with bodyscissors. The Clown manages to keep his footing for a while; but eventually falls forward on the mat on all fours; where he proceeds to run around the ring; leaving a surprised richards to ride him like a horse until Doink jumps up to his feet and leaps onto his back; slamming Richards into the ring. With Richards planted to the mat Doink dances around a bit before climbing to the top turnbuckle and leaps off looking to land a diving guillotinr legdrop. He only sees that Steven Richards has recovered too late and is helpless as Richards connects with a superkick to Doink the Clown while he is still in midair. Going for the pin; Richards picks up the win.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans. Tonight's Main Event is about to get underway. Before the break we witnessed Steven Richards' first victory here at Eastern Championship Wrestling. You have to admit Lanny. He didn't look half-bad out there tonight.
Poffo: Doesn't mean he looked half good either. But he did take out that buffoon Doink the Clown. So I'm willing to cut him some slack. Tonight.
Okerlund: Very well. I have to tell you Lanny. I'm worried tonight will be the last night we see Arn Anderson in the ring. This very well may be The Enforcer's retirement Match.
Poffo: Well Gene. Like I've already said. He accepted the terms of this stipulation. If Macho Man Randy Savage wins here tonight; Arn Anderson must retire from the world of wrestling. It's on his head. Unlike his hair.
Pomp and Circumstance sounds as Macho Man Randy Savage appears on the ramp with Debbie Combs. Savage gestures toward the Championship belt around his waist before making his way down to the ring.
McGillicutty: The following non-Title Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Sarasota, Florida weighing 237 lbs.; he is the Eastern Heavyweight Champion of the world; Macho Man Randy Savage.
Combs sits on the second rope allowing Savage to enter and after posing for the crowd a bit; Macho Man hands his belt over to referee Matt Hyson. Arn Anderson's music then plays.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Rome, Georgia weighing 255 lbs.; "The Enforcer" AA Arn Anderson.Main Event: Randy Savage vs. Arn Anderson Entering the ring; Arn Anderson eyes Randy Savage and Debbie Combs while adjusting his tights. After Combs exits the ring, Hyson starts the match; and the two rivals lock up. Savage gets the early advantage utitlizing an eye rake before taking Anderson down with a snapmare. Using the ropes; Randy rebounds into a dropkick to the back of Anderson. Falling on top of him Macho Man locks in a chinlock. Struggling to get free, Anderson finally is able to loosen the Champ's grip enough to get on one knee where he punches Randy in the face before dilvering a bionic elbow to the top of his head. Lifting him up; Arn begins pounding on his opponent's neck and lower back before grabbing Savage by the head and shoving him towards the ropes. Unable to stop himself; Randy stumbles over the top rope; grabbing onto it as he falls over. Keeping on top of his prey AA heads over to Savage just in time to be caught in a headscissors as the dangling Macho Man skins the cat and pulls himself back over the top rope. In the same instant; Randy pulls Arn out of the ring dumping him to the floor below. Climbing out onto the apron; Savage then waits for Anderson to rise before hitting him with a diving double axe handle. Inside the ring Hyson counts to five before The Macho Man pulls Anderson up to his feet and after delivering several punches; rolls him back into the ring. With Arn still down and out; Savage climbs up the turnbuckles from the outside. He is too slow however; and somewhat recovered; Arn Anderson meets him up top and after a brief battle suplexes Randy to the mat below. Making the cover; the count is at one when Debbie Combs climbs up to the apron. She is in for a surprise however when out of the crowd Miss Elizabeth appears and pulls her down from the apron. As Combs crashes to the floor however; Savage kicks out just before a close three count. Lifting Macho Man up, The Enforcer begins punching him again until Randy breaks out by shoving Arn away and then whipping him into the ropes. Randy charges after him; and hopping over the ropes nails Arn with a hair-pull hangman. Taking a breather on the outside; Savage sees Elizabeth going at it with Combs; and stepping in between the women breaks them up. Miss Elizabeth then slaps Savage who points a finger at her in warning; only to be slapped again. Noticeably angered; Savage turns and walks right into a punch courtesy of Arn Anderson who batters the champ into the barricades before whipping him into the steel steps. He tosses savage back into the ring as Hyson counts to 9; and following him in nailing the Champ with a knee drop. Lifting Savage to his feet; Anderson slams him hard with a DDT and goes for the pin; getting a two count before Randy limply kicks out. As Savage gets to one knee; AA hits him so hard he busts Macho Man open as Randy fends off blow after blow. Pointing toward Debbie Combs to distract the ref; when Hyson turns to look; Randy hits The Enforcer with a lowblow before rolling him up for a two count. Back up on his feet Savage takes Arn down with a lariat takedown; before running into the ropes and coming back with a huge elbow drop. Going for the cover Savage gets another two count on Anderson. Lifting his opponent back up, Randy Irish whips Arn across the ring and delivers a crossbody; once again going for the pin. And once again failing as Anderson this time powers out hard throwing the Champ off of him. Getting to his feet The Enforcer begins slugging it out with Savage. After a minute; Anderson whips Macho Man into the ropes and nails him with a jawbreaker over his knee. As Randy Savage staggers backward Arn Anderson pulls him back toward him and plants him to the mat with a huge spinebuster. And going for the pin Anderson wins the match.
Lights Fade.
