01/05/94 - Manhattan Center New York City, NYOkerlund: Welcome Wrestling Fans to Eastern Championship Wrestling; live tonight from the Manhattan Center in New York City, New York. I'm Mean Gene Okerlund and this is my broadcast partner "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. At our last event we witnessed The Macho Man Randy Savage become Eastern Championship Wrestling first Heavyyweight Champion in a hrad fought battle with Ravishing Rick Rude. We'll be hearing from the Champ later tonight.
Poffo: Oh. I can't wait for that one Gene. What's got me excited however is tonight's Main Event which will determine our first Tag-Team Champions in a four team Elimination Match.
Okerlund: That'll be quite a contest to be sure.
Poffo: I'm talking.
Okerlund: Oh. Sorry. Go on.
Poffo: Never mind; forget it. Getting to our first Match of the evening; "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady is set to take on "The Outlaw" Black Bart.
Okerlund: I suppose this is where these "Pot-Luck" tag teams get you Lanny. These two were on the same side last week.
Poffo: Well it appears that Black Bart blames Erin for their loss last week Gene. Frankly I think it's this match both these competitors should be perturbed by.
Okerlund: Why is that Lanny?
Poffo: Well either way it goes; it's going to ruin one of their perfect losing streaks. Irish Folk music plays as "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady prances to the ring throwing gold to the crowd.McGillicutty: From Dublin, Ireland making his way to the ring at 212 lbs. "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady. Western banjo music plays as Black Bart emerges from the back in a cowboy hat and trenchcoat.
McGillicutty: And his challenger from Pampa, Texas weighing in at 285 lbs. "The Outlaw" Black Bart.Match: Erin O'Grady vs. Black Bart As Davis begins the match Erin O'Grady moves to lock up with Black Bart who jabs The Leprechaun in the eye. As O'Grady reels away; Bart plucks him up dropping him with a belly to back suplex. O'Grady gets to his hands and knees as Bart begins stomping him; but is countered with a legsweep sending him down to the mat. Back on his feet Erin climbs the turnbuckle and drops down on top of Bart's stomach feet first. Getting some distance on his opponent O'Grady comes charging in at Bart as he rises only to be caught in a powerbomb by Bart; who in turn has it reversed into a DDT by O'Grady who plants the big man to the ground for a two count. Powering out; Bart gets to his feet first and captures Erin in a hammerlock applying pressure to The Leprechaun's back. Battling out however Erin delivers a side russian legsweep to Bart taking them both back to the mat. Covering Bart; O'Grady gets a one count before Bart scoops his opponent up and slams him back to the ring while still on his knees; covering him for the two count. Pulling O'Grady to his feet Bart begins hammering away on his smaller opponent before Irish whipping him into the ropes and hits him with a flapjack on the return. Going up top himself now Bart delivers his diving leg drop The Texas Trash Compactor and cover O'Grady picking up the win.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentleman to Eastern Championship Wrestling. For those just tuning in we just witnessed "The Outlaw" Black Bart defeat defeat "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady in one hell of a bout.
Poffo: It was a mistake. Now he's not even perfect at losing. Okerlund: Whatver Lanny.
Jacqueline Moore's music hits as the Women's Champion makes her way down to the ring.
Okerlund: What's this? We have a match coming up; but Miss Texas isn't supposed to be in it.
Poffo: Maybe she's here to see me.
Okerlund: Now why on Earth would she do that?Miss Jackie comes down the entrance ramp and makes her way to the announcer's table where she puts her arm around Poffo who gives up his chair.
Poffo: See?
Okerlund: Welcome to ringside Jackie.
Jackie: Thank you Gene. Hello Lanny.
Okerlund: Not to sound rude but what brings you down here? It certainly couldn't be to see Poffo.
Jackie: It just might be Gene. I do like a smart man and he is a Genius after all.
Poffo: She's a smart girl.
Jackie: But seriously Gene I'm here to check out my competition; in particularly that witch who's scheduled to make her debut tonight Manami Mitsubishi.
Okerlund: You're referring to Manami Toyota who was here last week.
Poffo: It isn't smart to correct a woman Gene.
Jackie: He's right; but yes Gene I mean Manami Toyota. If she thinks she can attack me and I'm just going to stand for it she has another think coming. Like a DDT in the middle of that ring.
Hot Stuff by Donna Summers plays as Debbie Combs bounces from the back.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Making her way to the ring from Fort Campbell, Kentucky Debbie Combs.
Okerlund: And what do you think of her opponent tonight; Ms. Combs?
Jackie: She's one hell of a competitor. The witch may be nothing but an afterthought when she gets done with her.
Okerlund: Are you saying Debbie Combs might do your work for you?
Jackie: Nah Gene. Win or lose I'm still gonna get that bi-; no my mother raised me better than that; but yes Gene either way Mitsubishi is going to get hers from Miss Texas.
Okerlund: Toyota.
Poffo: You did it again.
Jackie: Listen to your partner Gene.
Just then a wolf howls and the lights dim as mist fills the arena. When the lights go back on Manami Toyota is standing on the top turnbuckle.Match: Debbie Combs vs. Manami Toyota Starting the match Long looks on as Manami Toyota locks up with Debbie Combs and immediately turns it into a rolling armdrag; sending her opponent to the mat. Picking herself up; Combs doesn't have time to react as she is hit with a springboard crossbody by Toyota who gets a two count on Combs before Debbie counters with a small package getting a two count of her own. Both women getting back to their feet begin trading blows before Manami circles behind Combs and hits her with the Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex holding the bridge for a three count. Moving from the announcer table Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore makes her move; charging into the ring; but as she reaches Manami the arena goes dark again filling with mist. When the lights go back on Toyota already has the Women's Champ in a headlock and taunting the fans hits Jackie with a DDT laying Jackie out cold again. Suddenly the lights flicker off and Manami has vanished from the ring; only a raven sits perched on Jackie's chest. After a while it flies off into the arena.
Okerlund: Jackie's certainly going to feel that one in the morning Lanny.
Poffo: After seeing what just transpired; that's all you have to say? The camera then cuts backstage and we see Blue Demon Jr. rubbing Rhino's shoulders. Rhino is now wearing his rhino luchador mask from the other week. He looks annoyed and swat Blue Demon Jr. away.
Rhino: What the fuck man? Are all you damn luchadors so strange? The mask makes me look like a damned retard.
Demon: No se estrese mi pequeño saltamontes. Te ves muy guapo y poderoso en su máscara. Esto le dará la ventaja contra su rival en el partido de esta noche. Esto le dará lo que se necesita para ser un campeón. Los poderes de un luchador.
Rhino: Look man. What fucking ever. Maybe down in Mexico you guys don't mind looking like damn tools. But here in America people don't want to look like some asshole out trick or treating.
Demon: Buena suerte mi botón de oro dulce.
Rhino: Whatever man. I have no fucking clue what you're saying.
Leaving the backstage area Rhino makes his way to the entrance ramp as Debonaire by Dope plays.
McGillicutty: The following Triple Threat Match is scheduled for one fall. Our first competitor from Detroit, Michigan; weighing in at 262 lbs. Rhino.
Rhino adjusts his mask as he enters the ring as the sound of death metal assaults the arena and Mongo Vyle appears arms raised.
McGillicutty: Now entering the ring weighing 329 lbs. from Hell's Kitchen, New York; he is the "Machiavellian Mauler" Mongo Vyle.
Poundcake by Valen plays as Rob Van Dam appears at the entrance showing off.
McGillicutty: And from Battle Creek, Michigan weighing 237 lbs. he calls himself "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam.Triple Threat Match: Rhino vs. Mongo Vyle vs. Rob Van Dam Referee Danny Davis has his hands full as the match begins and the three competitors Rhino, Mong Vyle; and Rob Van Dam begin pounding on one another. Breaking away Van Dam runs back into the ropes and charging the brawling duo somersaults through the air landing on top of Rhino and Vyle sending all three men crashing to the ground. Mongo is the first to his feet and takes turns pounding on Rhino and Van Dam as they try to get to their feet; sending RVD staggering with a vicious bionic elbow. Alone with the masked man; Vyle elbows Rhino in the back before scooping him up and slamming him down to the ring. Mongo's domination of his opponents is short lived however as he is taken by suprise by a schoolboy roll-up courtesy of Van Dam; Mongo kicking out at one; only to be hit by a springboard moonsault by the lightning quick Mr. Wednesday night. Making the cover again; Rob gets a two count before receiving a kick to the head courtesy of Rhino. Not done with his opponent yet Rhino lifts RVD up and hits him with a fireman's carry cutter. Before Rhino can capitalize however with a pin he turns only to find himself scooped up in a powerbomb courtesy of The Machiaveliian Mauler. Countering; Rhino grabs onto Mongo' head and begins beating on it as he sits perched on Vyle's shoulders. Floundering around the ring for an escape; Mongo hits the ropes and both men tumble out of the ring. Back on his feet Rob Van Dam waits for his two opponent's to groggily get to their feet before running at them; and launches over the second rope for a plancha that connects on both men; sending bodies everywhere. Rhino is the first man back to his feet and begins hammering on Van Dam whom he lifts up and begins working on his back with elbows and chops until he cries out in pain as Vyle connects on Rhino with a chairshot to the back. Armed with a steel chair Mongo Vyle begins smashing first Rhino and after he gets to his feet nails RVD in the head sending him back to the floor. Viciously continuing his assault Mongo is only stopped when Rhino catches him in a drop toe hold that sends Vyle down face first into the chair and guard rail at the same time. Back on his feet now Rhino carries Rob Van Dam to the ring and rolls him inside. Back inside Thino attempts to turn Rob over into the sharpshooter; but catching Rhino by the mask; Van Dam pulls it down blinding his opponent who is still holding his leg. Hopping up on hi free foot; RVD connects with a spinning wheel kick knocking Rhino out cold. As he goes for the cover Vyle is back up and slides into the ring; but is too late as Rob Van Dam picks up the win. When Eastern Championship Wrestling returns White Train by Tito & Tarantula is still playing as Eric Bischoff enters the ring microphone in hand. Inside referees Danny Davis and Teddy Long are standing by with Beulah McGillicutty with his holding a briefcase,
Bischoff: Greetings ladies and gentleman. As most of you probably know I'm Eric
Bischoff; President of Eastern Championship Wrestling. Now when I was a kid back in Detroit, Michigan; I used to dream of making matches, booking cards filled with my favorite wrestlers. Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Ricky Steamboat; and of course Randy Savage. Not just running a show mind you; but running THE wrestling show that had everyone watching. Everyone at home on the edge of their seats, hearts pounding as the best wrestlers in the world went toe to toe for the most prestigious Championship in wrestling history. And forgive me for being humble; but I truly think we're on our way to doing this. The talent here at Eastern Championship is some of the best; no THE best; in the wrestling world today. Now when I bought this company last year from that quack Paul Heyman, Paul E. Dangerously; whatever he's deciding to call himself these days; this place wasn't much. There was definitely some talent here; but no direction; no incentive. I mean who's going to wrestle for promises? Nobody Paulie. The Championship was pretty much worthless. Shane Douglas? I say Shane who? Nobody wants to see that guy. Even when he does show up to an event. Since I've come onboard, taken over though; who works for us now? Ravishing Rick Rude. Arn Anderson. Jerry Lawler. Ronnie Garvin. Real wrestlers who've proven time and again why they are living legends. Beyond them we have a great crop of young talent. Future stars that're going to take this company into the next decade an beyond. Chrise Jericho. Rob Van Dam. Doug Williams. Yoshihiro Tajiri. The future of this business; right here under one roof. And that roof belongs to me. And all of you here at Eastern Championship Wrestling. But there's a reason we're all here right now in this ring. And that's to present Eastern Championship Wrestling with it's first true Champion. A man who needs no introduction; but would want one anyway. He is the greatest wrestler in the world today; from Sarasota Florida the multi-time NWA, AWA; and WWF Heavyweight Champion; and now our very own Eastern Heavyweight Champion; he is The Macho Man Randy Savage. Pomp and Circumstance plays as The Macho Man Randy Savage dressed more flamboyant than ever makes his way to the ring accompanied by Debbie Combs. Debbie sits on the second rope lowering it for Savage to enter. Once inside he is handed a mic by Bischoff.
Bischoff; Thank you for joining us here today Randy. it's an honor.
Savage: it certainly is Beeschoff. It certainly is. You should all feel very honored yeah. To be in the presence of a real World Champeeon. Yeah. The Macho Man Randy Savage is here. Pinned opponent after opponent in this very ring 1-2-3. Dig it?
Bischoff: I dig it Randy.
Savage: That's good peasant. Cuz I gots ta tellya Beeschoff. I gots ta tellya you've wasted these people time for the past several weeks. Y'see when The Macho Man Randy Savage came down to this very ring the first night? The first night he says Beeschoff hand me my title. And didja Beeschoff? No you did not. Instead you made The Macho Man; the greatest wrestler this world has ever known. Your words and mine. You made The Macho Man Randy Savage defeat chump after chump, week after week. A gauntlet of the weak. Ooh yeah. And Beeschoff? Beeschoff? Guess what happened then Beeschoff?
Bischoff: What Randy?
Savage: I beat them. One by one. Anderson, Lawler, Rude; even that funny little Asian guy. They all fell victim to the true royalty of this here very ring. 1-2-3. The Macho man Randy Savage destroyed them all. Now Beeschoff? One more thing Beeschoff?
Bischoff: Yes Randy?
Savage: Go git my Title Beeschoff. Chop, chop.
Bischoff: Ms. McGillicutty?
Beulah McGillicutty hands Eric the briefcase and looks on as Eastern Championship Wrestling's President opens it revealing the Eastern Heavyweight Title. Taking the belt out he presents it to Macho Man Randy Savage who takes it before taking Bischoff's extended hand.
Bischoff: Congratulations Randy.
McGillicutty: Ladies and gentlemen we'd like to proudly present Eastern Championship Wrestling's Heavyweight Champion of the world; The Macho Man Randy Savage.
Macho Man takes the belt and holds it up to his waist.
Savage: Ooh yeah Debbie. Just like I told you last night. That's what a real Champion feels like. We gon'ta celebrate tonight.
Bischoff: Speaking of celebrating Randy; I'm glad you brought it up. Because after the commercial break we'll be celebrating your new Championship reign with a 10-Man Battle Royal to determine the number one contender for the Heavyweight Championship!
Macho Man looks a bit annoyed as the program cuts to commercial.Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Eastern Championship Wrestling. For those tuning in late we just witnessed the crowning of Eastern Championship Wrestling's first World Heavyweight Champion; The Macho Man Randy Savage. The champ didn't seem like he liked Eric Bischoff's idea of celebrating however.
Poffo: Knowing Savage; he was probably thinking more along the lines of Sizzler.
Okerlund: So you know him now?
Poffo: Well; I've heard stories.
Okerlund: Regardless of whether The Macho Man likes it or not however; we're about set for Eric Bischoff's "celebration" as we determine the number one contender for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship in our next contest; a 10-Man over the top Battle Royal.# 1 Contender's Battle Royal for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship: Matt Borne vs.Scott Taylor vs. Ronnie Garvin vs. Blue Demon Jr. vs. Buck Zumhoff vs. Arn Anderson vs. Chris Jericho vs. Steven Richards vs. Doug Williams vs. S.D. Jones When Teddy Long starts the match old rivalries immediately flair as Chris Jericho runs across the ring and sends Buck Zumhoff into the ropes with a dropkick. Arn Anderson meanwhile begins to slug it out with Ronnie Garvin as Scot Taylor and Stevie Richards form an on the spot alliance as the begin to work over S.D. Jones. Blue Demon Jr. locks up and begins trading attacks with Doug Williams; while The Maniac Matt Borne just looks to stay out of everyone's way for now. Battling back on his attackers; S.D. Jones sends Scott Taylor reeling with a furiously left; before delivering a right to Stevie richards; whom he chokes against the top rope with his forearm. Taylor tries to help Richards; but going low Jones grabs Stevie's legs and tosses him up and out of the ring making the first elimination of the match. Doug Williams is the secon man eliminated when he goes for a huracanrana on Blue Demon Jr. who catches him in mid-air and after spinning him for a bit chucks Williams outside the ring. Seeing an opening; Matt Borne moves in tro strike; pummeling the Demon before whipping him into the ropes; setting up a flapjack which he hits driving his opponent into the mat. Meanwhile Chris Jericho has been beaten down to one knee by Buck Zumhoff. Rallying himself Jericho screams in anger as he leaps up connecting with a furious clotheline that carries Zumhoff into and over the ropes and out of the ring. Victorious Jericho turns back to the ring and gives a small victory dance only to catch a dropkick from the Blue Demon Jr. who at the same time plants Matt Borne to the canvas with a bulldog. Jericho staggers back towards the ropes and is eliminated with the help of the already eliminated Zumhoff who pulls down the top rope causing Chris to tumble to the floor. Scott Taylor soon joins them on the outside as S.D. Jones powelifts his opponent over his head and tosses him over the side. Blue Demon Jr. is out next when Matt Borne finally gets the better of him; when the Demon goes to hit a DDT, Borne powers out lifting him over his shoulders and tossing him up into the air behind him; sending the Demon crashing outside of the ring. Borne doesn't get a moment to relax however as S.D. Jones comes in punching him square in the face. The battle between Arn Anderson and Ronnie Garvin has been furious with both men getting the better of one another throughout the entire Battle Royal. The both look tired; but Anderson finally puts an end to it with a left-handed knockout punch that sends Garvin spiralling to the floor. Pulling the unconscious man up; with some trouble Anderson pushes him over the top rope eliminating him. Leaning into the turnbuckles Arn relaxes, regaining his breath as he watches Matt Borne and S.D. Jones battle one another in the center of the ring. Whipping Jones into the rope hard Borne nearly sends the big man out of the ring; but S.D. hangs on as The Maniac charges at him trying to slam him over. Jones hangs tight however aand Borne looks frustrated as he tries to pry the rope from the grappler's hands. Seeing his chance; Arn Anderson moves in for the kill. Borne senses him behind him though and turns about only to receive a hard right from Anderson who thrusts forward pushing Borne into S.D. Jones full force. As Borne topples over him Jones finally loses his grip and hits the ground seconds after The Maniac as The Enforcer picks up a big win.Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentleman and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling here on our home channel of TNN. I'm Mean Gene and this is my co-host Lanny Poffo. One thing is for sure Lanny; the World Champion cannot be happy with the outcome of the 10-Man Battle Royal we just witnessed.
Poffo: Certainly not Gene. Arn Anderson nearly defeated Savage on our first broadcast. This is probably worst case scenario for our... Champion. He was probably hoping Stevie Richards would walk away the number one conternder; for instance.
Okerlund: Have to agree with you there Lanny. There are few athletes in the ring today more dangerous to get in the ring with than The Enforcer. He was probably hoping for anyone else to be the winner of our last match.
Poffo: Of course. He's a loser.
Okerlund: The Macho Man?
Poffo: I'd watch what you say about Randy Savage Gene. He might hurt you. I of course; was referring to Stevie Richards.
Okerlund: I'm sure you were.
Poffo: Don't try to drag me down with you Gene. Our next match should prove interesting as we haven't seen either man in single's action yet here at Eastern Championship Wrestling. Hell one could argue we haven't seen Steve here at all. Must be something about the name.
Okerlund: What's that Lanny?
Poffo: They're losers Gene.
Okerlund: I'm sure they'd have something to say about that.
Poffo: The Losers. I smell a Tag-Team.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring from Wilmington, Delaware weighing 270 lb.s Brickhouse Brown.
Hit by a Brick by The Atomic Fireballs plays as Brickhouse Brown makes his way to the ring.
Steve Blackman's entrance music plays as he appears Kendo Sticks in hands. McGillicutty: And his opponent from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; weighing in at 246 lbs. "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman.Match: Brickhouse Brown vs. Steve Blackman Before the match begins Brickhouse Brown complains to referee Danny Davis about Steve Blackman carrying Kendo Sticks. Davis isn't as impressed with the weapons and takes them from Blackman before beginning the match. The two grapplers lock up briefly before The Silent Assassin takes Brown down with a legsweep. Straddling his downed opponent Blackman begins hammering on him. Unable to force the bigger man off him with his arms; Brown finally escapes with a hard headbutt knocking Steve back onto his ass. Getting back up Brickhouse smacks Blackman on his head before lifting him up and hip tossing him back to the ring. Going for the pin Brown gets a one count before Blackman powers out. When Brickhouse tries to grab him again however he gets as a surprise from Blackman who's been playing possum and grabbing his opponent locks Brown in a guillotine choke. Rolling over with Blackman still locked onto him Brown crawls on all fours reaching the rope; getting Davis to break the hold. As Brown tries to get back to his feet he is met by kicks courtesy of his opponent before Brown catches one of his legs and spinning Blackman around suplexes him backward; the back of Steve's neck nailing the top rope. Down on the ground Blackman grabs his neck in pain as he kicks about the ring. Brickhouse goes for the pin and gets another two count before lifting Blackman again; this time nailing him with an over the knee backbreaker. Covering his opponent again; Brickhouse Brown picks up the win.
Poffo: See Gene? I told you. Loser.
Okerlund: Enough Lanny. We're about to go to commercial Wrestling Fans; but stay tuned for when we return Devon Hughes will see action against "Iron" Mike Sharpe.
Poffo: Devon vs. Mike Sharpe? Brickhouse vs. Steve? What'd the undercard throw up or something?Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans to Eastern Championship Wrestling. I'm Mean Gene and with me at ringside is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. During the break we received some exciting news; as this Friday January the Sevent our very own World Champion The Macho Man Randy Savage will be a guest on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. So be sure to tune in for that at 11pm on NBC.
Poffo: Well as loathe as I am to admit it; I may just be more excited about that than our next match.
McGillicutty: Our next contest is scheduled for one fall. Our first contestant from New Rochelle, New York weighing 280 lbs. Devon Hughes.
Devon pops out of the backas his intro music hits and points to the sky.
Devon: Testify!
As he makes his way to the ring The Canadian National Anthem plays as Mike Sharpe appears on stage.
McGillicutty: And his challenger weighing 275 lbs. and hailing from Ontario, Canda; he is Canada's Greatest Athlete "Iron" Mike Sharpe.Match: Devon Hughes vs. Mike Sharpe As the match begins Mike Sharpe delivers a series of chops to Devon Hughes before Hughes has time to react. Going for an Irish whip; Sharpe is surprised to have it countered with an Irish whip courtesy of Devon. As Sharpe comes back Hughes look to connect with a big boot to his skull; but Mike slides under Devon's legs putting him in a schoolboy and gets a two count on his surprised opponent. Kicking out hard both men make it to their feet at about the same time and begin trading punches until Devon grabs Sharpe under the arms and tosses him up into the air letting him drop back to the mat before hitting an elbow drop on the Canadian. Going for the pin Devon gets a one count before Sharpe counters with a small package; getting a two on Devon. Mad Devon leaps up and drops Sharpe with a hard lunging right fist. Popping back up Iron Mike is only in time to hit the ground again as Devon nails hin with the same move on his way back. Standing above Sharpe Devon puts him in a camerl clutch punishing Sharpe whose head he then slams into the mat. Lifting his opponent back up Devon takes a few desperate punches from Sharpe before turning him over into a swinging neckbreaker; putting him away for the three count.
Okerlund: A big win for Devon Hughes here tonight at Eastern Championship Wrestling. When we come back ladies and gentlemen we'll be going right to our tremendous Main Event where we'll be crowning our very first Eastern Tag-Team Champions. Stay tuned.McGillicutty: The following contest is a 4-Team Elimination Match and is for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship. Challengers are eliminated via Pinfall or Submission; the winner of the bout determined when only one man or team is left remaining in the ring. Our first challengers weighing a combined total of 456 lbs.; they are B. Brian Blair and "Jumping" Jim Brunzell; The Killer Bees.
Brunzell and Blair appear on stage in their jackets; but it is impossible to tell them apart as they're both wearing masks to the ring. Once inside they remove the masks as their annoying buzzing intro is replaced with "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen.
McGillicutty: And our second challengers weighing in at 557 lbs.; the team of Dick Murdoch and The Junk Yard Dog; Deep South.
Dick Murdoch waves his cowboy hat to the crowd while JYD rattles his chain and barks at them. Once they're in the ring their music is replaced with the Kaientai Theme as The New Orient Express enters the arena.
McGillicutty: Hailing from the shores of Tokyo; Japan weighing in at 370 lbs.; accompanied by their manager Mr. Fuji; they are The New Orient Expess Yoshihiro Tajiri and Taka Michinoku.
Tajiri stalks his way down to ringside as Mr. Fuji and Taka follow behind as their music gives way to The Bill Conti Overture.
McGillicutty: And our final competitors in our Tag-Team Main event; weighing a total of 456 lbs. from Memphis; Tennessee Brian and Jerry "The King" Lawler. [ Tag-Team Championship Four Team Elimination Match: The Killer Bees vs. Deep South vs. The New Orient Express vs. The Lawlers "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch and "Jumping" Jim Brunzell start off the match trading a few blows before Brunzell captures Murdoch in a headlock. Pushing his way out Dick sens the Bee into the ropes and follows him in for a hard forearm smash. Continuring with an Irish Whip Murdoch's luck runs out when Brunzell comes back flying high with a dropkick taking Dick down to the mat. Going for the cover Brunzell gets a two count before JYD enters the ring and makes the save. While the ref looks to remove the Dog from the ring; Murdoch rakes the eyes of his opponent; sending Jumping Jim looking for a tag. Partially blinded he first finds his way to the corner of The Orient Express; receives a smack across his face from Yoshihiro Tajiri for his troubles. Finding his own corner B. Brian Blair accepts the tag and charges at Murdoch who is up on one knee. Somersaulting over his opponent Blair grabs Captain Redneck's head in mid-air slamming him face first into the mat. Going for the cover he gets a two count. Lifting him up Blair is caught by surprise when Murdoch pushes him forward into his corner. Caught in a hammerlock over the ropes by The Junk Yard Dog; Brian is helpless as Murdoch begins beating on him until referee Davus breaks them up. The damage is already done as Murdoch scoops Blair up in a piledriver. As he connects with the move Jim Brunzell moves to make the save; but the diabolical Mr. Fuji has other plans, instructing Tajiri and Taka to hold him back while Murdoch gets the easy pin. The surviving member of his team; Brunzelll is now the legal man. Freed from the Orient Express' grasp he climbs the turnbuckle and surprises the celebrating Texan with a flying crossbody. Looking to make the pin Brunzell gets the two count before JYD comes inside and breaks it up. Pulling Murdoch to his feet Jumping JIm hits him with a bionic elbow. This seems to only get Dick mad as hestarts foaming at the mouth a bit as he brgins laying into Brunzell. The two men battle about the ring until Redneck catches Jumping Jim in a headlock. Too close to The Orient Express' corner; Tajiri reaches out and smacks Murdoch in the back of the head from Tajiri; resulting in Murdoch turning to spit on him. This is just the opening Brunzell needs as he wiggles free with an elbow to Murdoch's gut. Just as the momentum seems about to shit however Yoshihiro makes the blind tag to the Killer Bee and leaping up onto the top rope; in one fluid movement springboards over Jim's head and takes Murdoch down with a spinning heel kick; rolling to his feet as he lands. Lifting him up to his feet Tajiri seems to go for the Irish Whip on the dazed Murdoch; but instead pulls him close and hits him with a face full of Asian Mist while Fuji distracts Danny Davis. Scared and in pain Murdoch reacts with a clothesline which takes Tajiri down before Dick flounders into the Lawler's corner where Brian Lawler makes the tag. Jerry Lawler looks like he disapproves as his son delivers a leg drop on the still down Yoshihiro. Moving to lift The Japanese Buzzsaw; Brian is caught in an inside cradle as Tajiri goes for the pin; but only gets a one count on his fresh opponent. Hopping to his feet Lawler stomps on Tajiri a bit before Yodhihito too regains his footing. The two men trade furious chops until Yoshihiro whips his opponent into the ropes going for the Tornado DDT. As he is about to hit it however; Brian holds his position and catching The Japanese Buzzsaw in mid-air proceeds to pwerslam him to the floor where he makes the cover; getting the three count as Brunzell grabs Taka's foot on the outside; preventing him from entering the ring. Jumping Jim lets go of Taka shrugging to his opponent as Michinoku enters the ring with a fired up Brian Lawler who begins hammering on him. Overpowered; looking for an escape Michinoku slides through Lawler's legs and hops up onto his back locking in half nelson choke with bodyscissors. Trying to counter the submission hold Lawler falls backward on top of his opponent; but Taka refuses to let go until Jerry Lawler comes in and kicks him off. Coughing and looking for a tag Brian gets one from Junk Yard Dog who is looking for some revenge while Jerry continues to stomp Taka. JYD nods to Jerry as he cuts in and begins stomping on Michinoku himself until he is taken to the mat via a toe hold. Back on his feet Taka runs around the ring before nailing JYD in the head with a baseball slide. In a daze the Dog gets to his feet and makes a swing at Michinoku who ducks under his arm and hits the veteran with a suplex. Seeing Murdoch about to enter with his partner layed out in the middle of the ring; Taka dropkicks Dick to the outside before running to the other side and hitting JYD with a sprinboard moonsault. Going for the cover Taka eliminates The Junk Yard Dog. As Dick Murdoch moves to get back into the ring Jim Brunzell is looking to get in and after some hesitation Taka gives him the tag. Inside Brunzell gives Murdoch no room as he begins punching him the second the big man gets into the ring and whipping him into the ropes and follows him in connecting with a running shoulder block. Captain Redneck is tired as Jim begins laying into him again and makes a faint attempt to fight out with a few punches of his own. Summoning his strength Dick Murdoch scoops Brunzell up onto his shoulders and turning about falls backward; slamming him to the ring. Rolling over for the cover Murdoch eliminates Jumping Jim. With The Killer Bees eliminated; there is a bit of confusion as to who becomes the legal man; until Brian Lawler volunteers and covering Murdoch puts him out of his misery. Lawler is still on top of Murdoch when he is hit by Taka Michinoku who senton bombs both men from the top turnbuckle. Brian writhes in pain as Michinoku rises to his feet and raises at Lawler hits him with a huracanrana; snapping him over and onto his back, Going for the pin Lawler kicks out as two. Lifting Brian to his feet Taka makes a motion to slit his throat before nailing Brian with a powerbomb, going for the pin; and eliminating him. Climbing into the ring Jerry Lawler locks eyes with Taka Michinoku; they last two men in the match. The King is fresh as he attacks his opponent hitting him with a volley of fists before lifting Taka from behind and dropping him on his face. Turning him over Lawler goes for the pin getting a long two count before going upstairs for his fist drop. As Jerry hit the top turnbuckle however Michinoku springs up and climbs up to Lawler; tossing the bigger man down to the floor below with a huge suplex. Covering The King, Taka is denied victory when Lawler kicks out at two. Angered Taka curses in Japanese before lifting Jerry and running him out of the ring. Taka begins to complain to Davis about the count while Jerry recovers on the outside. As he regains his senses however Mr. Fuji assaults him behind; breaking his cane in half over The King's head before rolling the stunned man into the ring behind the ref's back. Leaving Davis behind Michinoku walks over to Lawler; picks him up and delivers The Michinoku Driver before getting the pin and winning the match for his team. Yoshihiro Tajiri soon joins him at ringside as Davis gets the Tag-Team Titles from Beulah McGillicutty and hands them to the new Eastern Tag-Team Champions. Mr. Fuji poses with the champions holding the Titles in the air as Eastern Championship Wrestling goes off the air.

01-12-94 - Brendan Byrne Arena East Rutherford, NJOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to Eastern Championship Wrestling; live with you tonight at the Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford, NJ. Joining me here tonight is my broadcast partner "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. Welcome Lanny.
Poffo: Good to be here Gene.
Okerlund: For you at least. Ladies and gentlemen tonight we have a tremendous Main Event as Eastern Heavyweight Champion Macho Man Randy Savage is set to take on The Enforcer Arn Anderson.
Poffo: This one should prove brutal Gene. The Macho Man must be worried knowing he nearly lost to this man; The Enforcer; in our inaugural show.
Okerlund: I wouldn't go that far Lanny. But it was one hell of a match.
Poffo: I would.
The Bill Conti Overture sounds as Jerry and Brian Lawler make their way to the ring.McGillicutty: Making their way to the ring from Memphis, Tennessee at a combined weight of 456 lbs; they are Brian and Jerry "The King" Lawler.
Okerlund: Looks like the first match of the evening is set to get underway.
Poffo: Take you long to figure that out, oh wise one?
Okerlund: Shut up Lanny.
Poffo: Brilliant retort.
Another One Bites the Dust by Queen hits as Dick Murdoch in his cowboy hat and rolled up Confederate flag shirt appears on the entrance ramp with The Junk Yard Dog who is rattling the chain about his neck while barking at the crowd,
McGillicutty: And their opponents hailing from Dixie country; weighing a combined total of 557 lbs.; they are the team of Deep South; Dick Murdoch and The Junk Yard Dog.Tag-Team Match: The Lawlers vs. Deep South Referee Teddy Long starts the match as Jerry "The King" Lawler locks up with the Junk Yard Dog who takes the advantage with a knee to Jerry's gut. Keeping it he begins beating Lawler with a series of hard rights sending The King stumbling into the ropes. Pounding Lawler's back and head until he reaches for the ropes for support; JYD grabs the top rope and hops up connecting with a leg drop to the back of Jerry's neck; planting him face first on the floor. Pulling the fallen King to the center of the ring The Dog goes for the cover getting a two count before Lawler powers out. Back on his feet Junk Yard stomps his opponent who finally on one knee catches his opponent's foot. Loosing is balance JYD falls backward as Lawler leaps to make the tag to his son Brian Lawler. Falling upon JYD Brian hits him with an elbow drop before applying a facelock making his opponent howl in pain. Grabbing young Lawler's arms however JYD tosses him over his shoulders onto the mat; breaking the hold. Keeping hold of one of Brian's arms The Dog puts him in an armbar as JYD at the same time inches back and makes the tag to Dick Murdoch who goes upstairs and connects with a leg drop on their oppoent's prone arm. As Long removes JYD from the ring; Murdoch lifts Brian to his feet and after delivering several blows attempts to powerbomb the rookie who grabs Murdoch by the head and faceplants him into the mat; getting a two count when he goes for the cover. As he battles back to his feet blood is dripping from Dick's nose. He and Lawler trade chops for a while before Brian is sent into the ropes via an Irish whip from Murdoch. As Captain Redneck looks to connect with a big boot however he is taken down with a legdrag from Lawler who follows it up with a fist drop before tagging in his father. Climbing the turnuckle Jerry Lawler connects on Murdoch with his diving fist drop before going for the pin. Before JYD has a chance to break up the count Brian Lawler runs in the ring and nails him with a dropkick while The Dog is still outside; sending him out to the floor as The King picks up the win.Okerlund: Hello and welcome back ladies and gentlemen; we now go backstage where Eastern Championship Wrestling's President Eric Bischoff is about to speak with the number one contender for The Eastern Heavyweight Championship; "The Enforcer' Arn Anderson." Bischoff: Ladies and gentlemen I'm here with a man who certainly needs to introduction, multi-time champion and former Four Horseman member; and tonight's number one contender for the Heavyweight Championship; "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson.
Arn: Thank you Eric. But you can can it with the past accolades. Everyone knows what AA Arn Anderson is about. He's about wrestling. And tonight I'm going to get in the ring with someone who epitomizes everything I've come to hate about this business. Yes I said hate. All about the women, all about the cars, the glitz; and the glamor. That's not what the people are here to see and it's not what I'm here for. All I'm here to do tonight is to take that punk, that "Macho" man, with all his pomp and other tomfoolery down a notch. And if that means taking his Championship too Eric? Well so much the better. Last time the two of us met Savage got lucky. I'm not going to lie. He really put up a fight; but let's be real. He was on the receiving end of a grade-AA beating until he got lucky. Tonight this "Macho" man's luck is going to run out. And ole Arn Anderson is going to leave this arena here in East Rutherford, NJ the World Heavyweight Champion. And that ain't no bull.
Okerlund: Big words from The Enforcer here tonight.
Poffo: Not just words Gene. Arn Anderson is perfectly capable of backing up everything he just said.
Okerlund: I'm sure The Macho Man Randy Savage knows that and is planning accordingly. He'd be an idiot not to.
Poffo: Well then maybe he isn't.
An annoying buzzing is heard.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring from White Bear Lake, Minnesota and weighing 235 lbs. he is one-half of The Killer Bees; "Jumping" Jim Brunzell.
Poffo: Was hoping for the mustachioed one.
Okerlund: We know Lanny.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania weighing in at 246 lbs. "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman.
Poffo: Well this one's over before it began.Match: Jim Brunzell vs. Steve Blackman Steve Blackman enters the ring with his Kendo Sticks and points one menacingly at Lanny Poffo before handing them over to Danny Davis. Jumping Jim Brunzell immediately attacks Blackman; who answers back with a flurry of kicks which send Brunzell retreating to the corner. Regaining his composure Jim locks up with Blackman who grabs the Killer Bee's arm and turning hits it with an arm-breaker over his shoulder before swinging his foot back connecting at the knee, taking Brunzell's left leg out from under him; before flipping Jim over his shoulder with an armdrag that he turns into an armbar on the floor. In pain Brunzell battles back with vicious elbows; freeing himself from the hold. Hobbling a bit Jumping Jim begins trading chops with The Silent Assassin who ends it with a thrust kick to the gut; planting the Bee on his ass. When he attempts a roundhouse kick to finish him off however; Brunzell is ready for him and counters; wrapping Blackman up in a small package for the three count. Irate over the loss Blackman goes to get his Kendo Sticks from the outside but it stopped by Jumping Jim who whips Steve Blackman into the ropes and connects with a huge dropkick; sending Steve tumbling out of the ring.
Poffo: Well he certainly showed me Gene.
Okerlund: I'd be careful if I were you Poffo. I think he nearly won this match today. A promising young star this Steve Blackman.
Poffo: I'm not sure who's more delusional you or Steve with his "karate" kicks. But maybe he'd stand a better chance if they'd let him use those chopsticks.
Okerlund: You write that yourself?
Poffo: It's copyyrighted Gene.Generic rock music plays as the masked La Diabolica appears on stage and makes her way to the ring.
McGillicutty: Hailing from Veracruz, Mexico at 132 lbs.; La Diabolica.
Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentlemen. Welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. With me is my partner Lanny Poffo; who's in for a surprise I think this match.
Poffo: Surpise? I hate surprises Gene.
McGillicutty: And her challenger from Charlotte, North Caroline weighing in at 145 lbs.; Rockin' Robin.
Rockin' Robin by Bobby Day plays as Rockin Robin makes her way to the ring.
Poffo: Who is she?
Okerlund: Forget it.
Poffo: I mean she is a looker. I'll give her that.Match: La Diabolica vs. Rockin' Robin La Diabolica locks up with Rockin' Robin as Long starts the match. Going down low Diabolica takes Robin down with a drop toe hold before somersaulting onto her opponents back. Stumbling back to her feet as Diabolica comes charging across the ring Robin counters with a forearm smash which sends her masked opponent reeling. Grabbing her by the arm Rockin' Robin pulls Diabolica in for a suplex before moving in for the pin which the luchador kicks out of at one. Lifting Diabolica to her feet Robin delivers a few punches to the back of her head before The Diabolical One breaks free and takes Robin down with a sitout jawbreaker. Going for the pin Diabolica scores a two count before Robin turns the tables with a pin attempt of her own also getting a two count. Both women back on their feet the two men trade blows before Robin connects with a forearm smash across Diabolica's jaw and whips her into the ropes. Rockin' Robin isn't prepared however when La Diabolica comes back with a handspring elbow which sends Robin staggering backwards; setting her up for a dropkick from her lightning fast challenger. With Robin face down on the floor Diabolica goes for the camel clutch but after a few seconds in the hold Robin staggers to her feet with Diabolica still on her back and somersaults; rolling the masked woman up for a two count. As both women spring back to her feet Robin has the advantage as she takes Diabolica down with a clothesline; repeating the move when Diabolica rises again. Lifting the fallen luchador to her feet Robin powerslams her to the floor before going for the cover. Angry over a two count she flips Diabolica onto her face and locks in a camel clutch of her own. After failing to reach the ropes La Diabolica in pain reluctantly taps out; giving Rockin' Robin the victory.
Okerlund: What a contest by two fine performers. Rockin' Robin picking up the win on her debut match here at Eastern Championship Wrestling. Lanny?
Poffo: --
Okerlund: Lanny?
Poffo: Right. Let's not oversell it though. At the end of the day it's just "women's" wrestling.
Okerlund: I don't think they'd see it that way. Getting to our next match which is scheduled to be a Triple-Threat Match. Making his in-ring return The Ravishing Rick Rude is set to take on The Japanese Buzzsaw Tajiri and Rhino.
Poffo: Rick Rude has still got to be hurting from that Championship Match two nights ago Gene. He was already hurting just going into it; after suffering that severe beating at the hands of The Blitzkrieg. If you ask me he's insane to be getting into the ring already.
Okerlund: Speaking of The Blitzkrieg; Maingler's Monster is also set for a return to action tonight following his two week suspension after his attack on Rude and referee Matt Hyson.
Poffo: Let's not forget what he also did to Ron Bass and Black Bart. Okerlund: Those two had it coming if you asked me.
Poffo: Nobody did.
Okerlund: Later tonight The Blitzkrieg will take on Rock 'N Roll Buck Zumhoff.
Poffo: There're times I wish I was in a different business Gene.
Okerlund: And what business is that?
Poffo: After that announcement; casket making comes to mind. Zumhoff's going to need one.
Dope by Debonaire sounds as Thino appears on the ramp arms raised followed to the ring by his tag-team partner Blue Demon Jr.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring accompanied by his tag-team partner Blue Demon Jr.; from Detroit, Michigan weighing 270 lbs. he is Rhino.
Rick Rude's strip theme sounds as he appears on the ring and gives a little dance. McGillicutty: And our second contestant from Robbinsdale, MInnesota weighing 251 lbs.; welcomeThe Ravishing One, Rick Rude.
The Kaientai Theme plays as Yoshihiro Tajiri stalks his way to the ring followed by his manager Mr. Fuji.
McGillicutty; And our final challenger hailing from Tokyo, Japan weighing in at 180 lbs. accompanied to the ring by his manager Mr. Fuji; he is one half of the Eastern Tag-Team Champions, The New Orient Expres; "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri.Triple Threat Match: Rhino vs. Rick Rude vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri The pace of the match starts out slow as all three men pace the ring sizing one another up. It's Rhino who breaks the tension when he sees Ravishin Rick Rude wince in pain and comes in clubbing the injured man. Rude barely keeps his footing as he is knocked back by several blows before being Irish whipped into the ropes; surprising Rhino as he counters with a shoulder block on the return; knocking his opponent to the floor. This obviously hurts The Ravishing One as well as he grabs for his shoulder. Watching his opponents Yoshihiro just points and laughs as Rhino gets to his feet and adjusts his mask. Charging the smaller man; Rhino is spun around by Tajiri who hits him with an atomic drop, following it up with a bulldog that plants Rhino to the mat. Hitting the ropes Yoshihiro lands a springboard moonsault on Rhino and goes for the cover; which is brokern up by Rude at two via a kick to Tajiri's head. Jumping back to his feet Tajiri pelts Ravishing Rick with kick after kick until the injured man turns the tables with a legdrag taking Tajiri to the floor. Falling on Tajiri with an elbow drop; Rude locks in the figure four leglock causing The Buzzsaw to howl in pain. It looks like he is on the verge of tapping when Rhino breaks the hold by nailing Rude in the back with a double axe handle drop. In pain Rude rolls out of the way as Rhino gets to his feet and begins working over Tajiri's legs with stomps and kicks. The masked man gets a little too cocky however and Yoshihiro catches him with a monkey flip. Back on his feet Tajiri delivers an enziguiri heel kick laying Rhino out. On the outside Mr. Fuji reaches into the ring and grabs the downed Rhino whom he begins choking out as he reaches into his pocket for salt. Fuji is stunned however when his hand is grabbed from behind and turns to see Blue Demon Jr. just in time as he is hoisted over the luchador's shoulders and powerslammed down to the pavement. Back inside the ring Rick Rude has gotten the drop on the Japanese Buzzsaw whom he has set up for the Rude Awakening. Tajiri battles out however and turning in close attempts to shoot his mist in Rude's face. The Ravishing One however sees it coming and ducks out of the way; leaving Rhino who had just gotten back to his feet behind him to receive a face full of Asian Mist. Howling in pain Rhino falls over the top rope to the ground below as Tajiri delivers a thrust kick to Rude's gut and grabbing the bigger man's head goes for and connects with the brainbuster. Hooking Rude's leg Yoshihiro holds tight as Davis gives him the 1-2-3.COMMERCIAL BREAKOkerlund: Hello and welcome ladies and gentlemen to Eastern Championship Wrestling. I'm Gene Okerlund and with me is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. Surely what we just witnessed before the break has to be classified as an upset Lanny.
Poffo: To the naive perhaps Gene; but The Japanese Buzzsaw has been tearing through the ranks since our debut here at Eastern Championship; a close bout with the World Champion Randy Savage being amongst the highlights. Add to this fact what Ravishing Rick Rude suffered at the hands of The Blitzkrieg and then in a tremondous title bout with Savage just two weeks ago and the answer becomes clear. Rick Rude shouldn't have been competing today.
Okerlund: So you're saying the Buzzsaw just got lucky tonight fighting an injured Rick Rude?
Poffo: Not at all. Simply put Yoshihiro Tajiri could pull off a victory of this caliber any night of the week; but with Rude injured; it just made it all the more easier for him to leave here to night the victor. Kinmu yoshi finisshu Tajiri.
Okerlund: I'd say Rhino played a pretty important--
Poffo: Don't get me started of "Steve" Rhino. Being you started it however; his tag-team partner Blue Demon Jr. is set for action in our match that's just about to get under way.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring from Mexico City, Mexico weighing 194 lbs.; Blue Demon Jr.
Blue Demon Jr. appears on stage and mugs for the crowd a bit before making his way to the ring.
McGillicutty: And his challenger weighing 243 lbs. from Elwood City, Pennsylvania; he is "The Maniac" Matt Borne.Match: Blue Demon Jr. vs. Matt Borne Matt Borne gets in the ring and eyes Blue Demon Jr. before picking his nose. When Teddy Long sounds the bell Borne attempts to wipe it on The Demon's mask; but he grabs it and applies an armwrench to his dirty competitor. Borne cries out in pain as The Demon puts on the pressure to his arm; driving the bigger man down to one knee. Dropping Matt's arm Demon catches his opponent in a facelock which he transitions to a jawbreaker over his knee. Going for the cover Borne kicks out at one. Back on his feet The Maniac starts to slug it out with the luchador until Blue Demon whips him into the rope and hits Borne with a hurrancanra. Standing by waiting for Borne to rise; Demon has fun taunting his prey before hitting Maniac with another hurrancanrana when he regains his foots. Going for the pin Demon Jr. gets a surprise when Borne counters with a roll-up getting a two count before Blue Demon kicks out hard. Getting to his feet first Borne begins hitting The Demon with hard fists and forearm smashes before whipping the luchador across the ring. On his way back however The Demon is too much for The Maniac to keep up with as he transitions from a wheelbarrow to a bulldog planting Borne to the ring once again. Looking for the pin Blue Demon Jr. moves in only to find Rhino standing across the ring. He begins to question his tag-team partner; but it's obvious Rhino isn't there to talk while he shrugs off the ref who tries to get him to leave the ring. Charging across the mat Rhino conects with The Gore flattening Blue Demon Jr. Matt Borne gets to one knee in time to see this and stumbling to his feet attempts to shake Rhino's hand; but the masked man swats him away before rolling out of the ring. Shrugging to Teddy Long Matt Borne covers his opponent; and unsure what he should do Long makes the count as Borne picks up the win over Blue Demon Jr.
Okerlund: There should've been a disqualification there Lanny. I don't know what Teddy Long or Rhino for that matter was thinking there.
Poffo: Honestly I think that was Teddy Long thinking and a good call in my book. It's quite obvious Blue Demon Jr. had brought this on himself. Why should Matt Borne have to suffer for it?
Okerlund: Regardless that kid Rhino is a punk. Blue Demon Jr. has taken him under his wing and gone the extra mile to make sure he succeeds in this business.
Poffo: Seriously Gene? Have you seen that mask The Demon has him wearing? Rhino looks like an idiot plain and simple. And that has everything to do with Blue Demon Jr.'s antics and silly Mexican traditions.
Okerlund: Luch libre is a time honored tradition amongst the Mexican people Lanny. That remark is uncalled for.
Poffo: The only good thing to come out of Mexico is Los Gringos Locos Gene. And you can quote me on that.
Okerlund: Someone's apparently been hanging out with Dick Murdoch."Rock You Like A Hurricane" sounds as Buck Zumhoff makes his way to the ring. McGillicutty: On his way to the ring from Hamburg, Minnesota weighing in at 220 lbs.; "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff.
Poffo: Speaking of Murdoch; Zumhoff here should've borrowed Junk Yard Dog's entrance music tonight; cause The Blitzkrieg is about to make Another One Bite the Dust.
Entering the ring boombox in hand; Buck Zumhoff shows the crowd some dance moves before Ich tu der weh by Rammstein interrupts him and he stares open mouthed at the stage.
Okerlund: It looks like "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff didn't get the memo on who he was set to face tonight.
Poffo: Like The Genius; Eric Bischoff is a smart man. Surprise is probably the only way someone would willingly get into the ring with this creature known as The Blitzkrieg. McGillicutty: And his opponent from The Republic of Germany accompanied by Baron Von Raschke and weighing in at 323 lbs.; The Blitzkrieg.
Okerlund: We may not agree on much Lanny; but you've definitely got a point there. The Blitzkrieg is back fresh from two weeks suspension after his assault on Rick Rude and refree Matt Hyson; and tonight someone's going to pay.
Poffo: And that someone is Buck Zumhoff.Match: Buck Zumhoff vs. The Blitzkrieg As The Blitzkrieg enters referee Danny Davis orders for Baron Von Raschke to remain outside the ring. There is a tense moment where it looks like the monster is about to atttack Davis; but Raschke calms him down and stays outside. Inside the ring The Blitzkrieg plods his way toward a hesitant Buck Zumhoff who tosses his boom box at his opponent as the match begins. The Blitzkrieg smashes his forearm into the boombox in mid-air; shattering it as parts go flying. Now Zumhoff looks terrifed and begins circling the slower giant. Running in he delivers several blows using a hit and run techinique; none of his assaults having any effect on the monster. Finally Buck Zumhoff goes up top and attempts a double axe-handle only to be caught by the throat by The Blitzkrieg who hoists Zumhoff into the air with one hand choking him out. Davis begins counting and the giant releases him at four; dropping him to the floor. The damage however is already done as Buck Zumhoff hits the ground in a lifeless heap. Unphased The Blitzkrieg kicks Zumhoff over onto his back and makes the cover getting the pin. Like a proud parent Baron Von Raschke enters the ring and raises his charge's hand in victory while Davis checks Buck's pulse. After several scary minutes he jerks awake and looks up at The Blitzkrieg wide-eyed before rolling out of the ring.
Okerlund: Bischoff needs to do something about this. This isn't wrestling. It looked like he murdered Buck Zumhoff.
Poffo: I certainly wouldn't be dumb enough to get in the ring with him.
Okerlund: Of course you wouldn't; you're a -
Poffo: Genius?
Okerlund: I was going to say pollo.
Poffo: Which of course is Italian for Genius.
Gene slaps his head to his foreheard as Eastern Championship Wrestling goes to its last...Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to our Main Event about to get underway as Eastern Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage gets set to take on "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson.
Poffo: We very well may be looking at a new Heavyweight Champion tonight Gene as Arn Anderson nearly beat Savage in their qualifying match of the Heavweight tournament on December 1st.
Okerlund: Indeed it began a long road for Savage who went on to fight Yoshihiro Tajiri, Jerry "The King" Lawler and "Ravishing Rick Rude on his road to becoming Eastern Championship's first Heavyweight Champion.
Poffo: And of course Gene every road eventually comes to an end. And tonight we may be witnessing the end of Savage's short Title reign.
Okerlund: Pretty quick to count Savage out Lanny.
Poffo: I'm not the ref here. All I'm saying is The Enforcer is fresher than Savage; not having faced as much punishment in all of those matches you mentioned Gene. And I'm sure AA is looking for a little revenge for that loss at our inaugural show.
Okerlund: I'd say that's a safe bet Lanny.
Pomp and Circumstance hits as Randy Savage appears on the ramp with Debbie Combs in hand.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall and is for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship. Weighing in at 237 lbs. from Sarasota, FL and accompanied to the ring by Debbie Combs; he is the Eastern Heavyweight Champion; "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Entering the ring Macho Man shows off his belt to the crowd before handing it over to referee Teddy Long. When Arn Anderson appears on stage without any music he removes his glasses and Debbie Combs leaves the ring.
McGillicutty: And his challenger from Rome, Georgia weighing 255 lbs.; "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson.Main Event: "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson Macho Man Randy Savage fixes his tights as he walks about the ring sizing up The Enforcer Arn Anderson who checks an imaginary watch. Charging at Anderson, Savage retreats just as fast after catching several hard rights courtesy of The Enforcer. Anderson smiles mockingly at the hesitant Champion who comes at him again only to end up in a headlock. Releasing the hold Arn Irish whipes Randy into the ropes before connects with a Lou Thesz press. On the ground Anderson begins hammering on Savage who squirms his way to the bottom rope getting Davis to break them up. On the attack now The Enforcer gives The Macho Man no time to recover as he grabs him and begins pounding on the Champ's back and neck. Randy stuns Anderson however as he counters with a huge uppercut out of nowhere. Whipping Arn into the corner, Savage charges hisnopponent connecting with a shoulder block. Hopping up onto the second rope pinning Anderson in the corner Randy begins hammering on Arn's head until The Enforcer powers out tossing Randy into the ring. Macho lands on his feet and comes back swinging; but Arn grabs Savage's hand blocking him before nailing him in the jaw and climbing the turnbuckle comes down on Randy's head with a bionic elbow drop which sends The Mach Man reeling. Keeping on top of Savage, Arn Anderson hits him with the Gourdbuster flattening him. Going for the cover he gets a two count before Debbie Combs pulls Anderson's foot from outside the ring breaking the count. Getting to his feet Arn Anderson begins yelling at Combs who is screaming at him while Randy regains his footing and connects with a dropkick to Anderson's back sending him into the ropes. Randy falls to one knee and seems to be looking in his tights causing Long to investigate while Debbie Combs jumps up on the ringskirt, grabbing Anderson's head and hits a hair-pull hangman. As Anderson falls backward to the ground Savage shrugs to the ref who hasn't found any contraband and makes the cover on Anderson. The Enforcer kicks out at two however and Savage pulls him to his feet delivering a snap suplex on Anderson. Going for the pin he gets a two count. Getting to one knee Anderson begins to fight his way back as Savage trades shots with him. Whipped into the ropes by Arn, Savage comes back on the attack with a high knee smash which staggers his opponent. Trapping Anderson in a headlock Savage begins working over the neck of Anderson until The Enforcer breaks free flipping Savage over and putting him in the abdominal stretch. Savage looks like he is on the verge of throwing in the towel when Debbie Combs jumps up on the ringskirt again causing Long to walk over and yell at her. This gives the Champion the time he needs to squirm loose and deliver a low blow to The Enforcer whom he rolls up grabbing hold of Anderson's tights. Teddy Long doesn't see this however and makes his return to deliver the three count. Debbie Combs enters the ring now with Randy's Championship in hand as The Macho Man's hand is held high in victory. Rising a bit from the ground Arn Anderson looks livid as Eastern Championship Wrestling goes off the air.
Lights Fade.

01/19/94 - Asbury Park Convention Center Asbury, NJOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to Eastern Championship Wrestling; live tonight from the Asbury Park Convention Center in Asbury, New Jersey. I'm Gene Okerlund and with me here at ringside; "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. Welcome Lanny.
Poffo: Thank you Gene. Good to be here.
Okerlund: In tonight Main Event the World Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage is set to take on "Maniac" Matt Borne in a non-Title match.
Poffo: Now there's a bathroom break if I ever heard of one.
Okerlund: Excuse me?
Poffo: I suppose you're right Gene. It's the last Match of the night. Could just go to bed instead.
Okerlund: Whatever Lanny.
"Another One Bite the Dust" plays as Dick Murdoch and Junk Yard Dog appear on stage.
McGillicutty: Our first contest is scheduled for one fall; making their way to the ring at a combined weight of 557 lbs. they are the team of Deep South; "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch and The Junk Yard Dog.
As Junk Yard hands Danny Davis his chains an annoying buzzing sound is heard.
McGillicutty: And their opponents weighing in at 456 lbs. they are The Killer Bees "Jumping" Jim Brunzell and B. Brian Blair.Tag-Team Match: Deep South vs. The Killer Bees The match starts with "Jumping" Jum Brunzell in the ring with Junk Yard Dog. The two men begin trading punches; but it's obvious The Dog has the strength advantage as he battles Brunzell into the ropes and begins hammering on him; hitting him with a facebuster over his knee before whipping him across the ring. Looking to scoop him up; JY is surprised however when Jim hits him with a dropkick, giving him enough time to make the tag to Blair. Now inside B. Brian Blair comes at JYD with a shoulder block which staggers him before delivering a series of chops to his opponent. Irish whipping him into the ropes Blair hits a hiptoss on Junk Yard Dog who writhes in pain on the floor. Using the ropes to build momentum; Brian attempts to hit a low dropkick on the downed Dog; but when his opponent drops flat on the mat; Blair ends up sliding out of the ring. Getting to his feet Junkyard tags Murdoch in. Riling up the crowd for support Dick punches Brunzell off the ringskirt while waiting for Blair to reenter. When he does Dick Murdoch begins pounding on him and hits him with a spinebuster. Going for the cover he gets the two count before Blair kicks out. Getting to one knee The Killer Bee begins battling back and getting to his feet whips Murdoch into the ropes. When he charges into his opponent looking for a shoulder block Dick steps aside tossing his opponent from the ring. Looking to stay fresh he makes the tag to JYD who gets into the ring only to find both Bees waiting for him; now masked. Referee Davis is confused as to which he should eject from the ring when they both begin beating on JYD. Murdoch isn't having it however and gets in the ring to help his partner who has been whipped into the ropes. Catching them by surprise Murdoch spins them and hits a double clothesline as The Dog returns. Signalling to his partner; Murdoch and Junkyard help the Bees to their feet before hitting them with a double Thump. High fiving one another; they switch opponents and make the cover and not sure what else to do Danny gives them a double dose of the 1-2-3.
Poffo: Cheaters.
Okerlund: I agree Lanny. Those Killer Bees are sneaky devils. But they weren't quite slick enough to pull off a victory here tonight.
Poffo: Not the Bees Gene. The whole mask thing is Genius. That cowardly double-team by Deep South however; well suspend them I say.
Okerlund: Luckily nobody asked you.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans. We're just getting word that tonight Referee Matt Hyson will be making his return to Eastern Championship Wrestling and is just arriving backstage. The camera cuts to the backstage door which opens as referee Matt Hyson appears on crutches. He has a black eye and his foot is bandaged. ECW President Eric Bischoff is on hand to greet him.
Bischoff: Matt; I heard you were coming in today and wanted to make sure I was here to welcome you personally. What you did on behalf of Rick Rude was nothing short of heroic. How're you feeling?
Hyson: Better Eric. Obviously I'm still not in the best of shape; but I'm feeling alot better. Thanks.
Bischoff: Good to hear. You're welcome to return to work whenever you're ready. Just let me know.
Hyson: Thanks Eric. Won't be tonight though... Blitzkrieg isn't here is he?
Bischoff: Haven't seen him tonight; but I keep my distance if you know what I mean? Hyson: I hearya.
The two men shake hands and Hyson hobbles down the corridor when someone calls out to him. He swings around startled but is caught by both shoulders by Devon Hughes.Devon: Whoa. Whoa. Easy there little man. Didn't mean to startle you.
Hyson: Startled me? You scared the shit out of me. Though it was-
Devon: Yeah, yeah. The Blitzkrieg. I saw that brother. But what I also saw was one brave ass move in that ring little man. What you did for Rude in there? Well that took some guts. Granted we saw them all over the ring; but someone's gotta teach you how to scrap.
Hyson: Look I'm not a wrestler.
Devon: Didn't say that. But you gonna be a white knight; you gotta know how to fight. Testify.
Devon holds out his hand to Hyson; who with some hesitation takes it.
The camera goes back to ringside where Irish Folk music is playing as Erin O'Grady makes his way down to the ring tossing gold coins to the crowd.
Poffo: I don't get it. Hyson isn't no hero. He's an idiot.
Okerlund: You wouldn't.
McGillicutty: On his way to ring from Dublin, Ireland weighing in at 212 lbs.; he is "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady.
Poffo: Speaking of idiots.
Okerlund: I can't agree with you there either Lanny. O'Grady is one hell of a performer.
Poffo: I'm not talking about his ring work Gene. I'm talking about him throwing his money away.
Okerlund: Well he is a Leprechaun.
Poffo: Oh yeah Gene. And I'm the tooth fairy. Twit.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Quebec, Canada weighing in at 231 lbs.; "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin.Match: Erin O'Grady vs. Ronnie Garvin "The Leaprechaun Erin O'Grady locks up with "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin as the bells sounds; only to whip the older competitor into the ropes; and drops him with a low dropkick to the shins. Keeping on top of Garvin who attempts to get to his feet; O'Grady begins hammering on him with fists and forearms. This doesn't stop The Rugged One from getting to one knee as he battles back. Attempting to keep him down Erin puts Ronnie into a headlock which Ronnie counters by charging the turnbuckle and springboarding off it backwards sending his full weight into O'Grady as the hit the mat. Rolling out Garvin gets to his feet and begins stomping on his competitor before delivering an elbow drop to The Leprechaun's shoulder. Staying on the mat with him Ronnie applies an armbar causing Erin to howl in pain. He looks like he's on the verge of tapping when he begins punching Garvin with his free hand and after several blows battles out. Back on their feet the two men lock up; Ronnie circling around his foe to connect with a suplex. Going for the cover he gets a two count. Pulling O'Grady to his feet Ronnie delivers a barrage of blows to his back and neck before Erin pushes free and connects with a sunset flip; rolling Garvin up for a two count before Garving counters with a small package nearly getting the three. Back on their feet the two men begin trading punches until Garvin grabs Erin by the head and violently plants him face first onto the mat. As his opponent gets on all fours Ronnie straddles him and begins slamming him in the ribs with both fists before applying the Cobra Clutch. Erin tries in vain for several seconds to loosen Garvin's grip before he is forced to tap and give Ron Garvin the win. Leaving his opponent a heap in the middle of the ring; Garvin rises and takes his towel from referee Teddy Long; which he throws onto O'Grady after wiping the sweat from his face.Okerlund: I'll tell you Lanny; that Ronnie Garvin is certainly on a roll.
Poffo: I agree. Nearly rolled off my chair in a stupor Gene.
Okerlund: That's your usual state.
Poffo: Zing!
Okerlund: Garvin is a multi-time NWA Champion and still has what it takes to be one again here at Eastern Championship in my opinion.
McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring from Hell's Kitchen, NY at 326 lbs. he is "The Machiavellian Mauler" Mongo Vyle.
Death metals assaults the arena as Mongo Vyle enters arms raises and heads into the ring before the Canadian National Anthem plays and Mike Sharpe appears on stage.
McGillicutty: And his challenger hailing from Ontario, Canada ast 275 lbs. he is Canada's Greatest Athlete "Iron" Mike Sharpe.Match: Mongo Vyle vs. Mike Sharpe As Davis starts the match; "Iron" Mike Sharpe begins wailing on Mongo Vyle and hits him with a massive forearm chop after whipping him into the ropes; that takes the bigger man down to the ground. This causing boos and hisses from the audience who shout "Whimp!" at Sharpe who complains to the ref. Seeing Vyle get back to his feet Mike hits him with a double-axe handle before attempting to apply a hammerlock which Vyle fights out of gaining control as he beats Sharpe back against the ropes with a flurry of punches which he ends with a bionic elbow. Lifting Sharpe up to his feet; Mongo sends him back down to the canvas with a huge elbow to the back before running back to the ropes and hitting his opponent with a diving leg drop. Rolling Iron Mike over for the pin, Vyle gets a two count before Sharpe kicks out and fights his way back to his feet. The two men begin trading punches before Vyle delivers a headbutt which breaks the Canadian open. This angers Sharpe who pushes Mongo away from him as he compains loudly to the Danny Davis. When he gets no help there he returns to Vyle who looks to connect with a big boot only to have his leg caught by Mike who spins him and catches The Mauler in a bear hug. Sharpe continues to yell as Vyle hollers in pain before swinging his leg back and connecting with a low blow; breaking Sharpe's hold. Mongo is relieved to see Davis didn't catch the illegal move and when Mike goes to complain to him about it; Vyle whips the smaller man into the ropes and hits him hard with a powerbomb. Going for the cover on Sharpe; Mongo Vyle picks up the win.
Poffo: And there goes the best Canada has to offer.
Okerlund: Sharpe is a tough customer Lanny. Also Ronnie Garvin is from Canada or did you forget?
Poffo: The Genius forgets nothing Gene. But Garvin is a fluke. An exception to the rule. I mean have you seen Canadian Wrestling?
Okerlund: Well no; but...
Poffo: Exactly. I caught it by accident once though. Other than that Fytch babe I'd rather be watching Murder, She Wrote.
Okerlund: We're off to commercial ladies and gentlemen; but when we return we'll see a Number One Contender's Match for the Woman's Championship.
Poffo: That Angela Lansbury... Mmm...Lelani Kai and Velvet McIntyre are already in the ring sizing one another up when Hot Stuff by Donna Summers plays and Debbie Combs appears on stage.
McGillicutty: And the final challenger from Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Debbie Combs. The following Triple-Threat Match is scheduled for one fall and is for a numnber one contender's spot for the Women's Championship.Triple-Threat # 1 Contender's Match: Debbie Combs vs. Leilani Kai vs. Velvet McIntyre As Debbie Combs slides into the ring; Leilani Kai wastes no time stomping on her. As Long sounds the bell Velvet McIntyre catches Kai from behind in a hammerlock; giving Combs time to get to her feet. While McIntyre holds her Combs begins delivering chops to their opponent whom she kicks in the gut before she and Velvet deliver a double suplex. When McIntyre goes for the pin however; the two grappler's alliance comes to an end as Combs viciously kicks her in the face and makes the cover herself for a one count on Kai. Picking up Leilani; Combs delivers an elbow to her back before being on the receiving end of a dropkick from McIntyre who whips Leilani into the ropes only to be taken down by a toe hold by Debbie. Coming back to see her opponent's both down; Kai somersaults through the air landing square on the back of Velvet. She then goes for the cover; but Debbie Combs is back on her feet and lifts Leilani off their opponent; putting her in the camel clutch. Grabbing Combs' arm Leilani squirms lose and takes Debbie down with an armdrag when the lights go out again. Mist fills the arena as they go back on and Manami Toyota is behind Danny Davis whom she delivers a bulldog on. Hearing the noise behind her; Kai looks up only to be kicked in the face; lifted to her feet and put into the Japanese Ocean Suplex. Getting back to her feet Toyota stares down Debbie Combs for a moment before turning her attention to Velvet McIntyre; who is back on her feet and charging her. Velvet hits Manami with a flying crossbody; but is caught in mid-air by the mysterious woman; who holding her backs her way toward the ropes and flings her from the ring via a fallaway slam before hopping out herself. Once on the outside Manami looks to continue her assault on Velvet when the Women's Champion Jacqueline Moore appears from out of the crowd a decks Toyota in the face. Meanwhile in the ring Debbie Combs takes advantage of the turmoil and overs Leilani Kai as Danny Davis wakes up and still groggy gives her the three count and the wing. Meanwhile outside Jacqueline and Manami are going toe to toe when Toyota whips Miss Texas into the guardrail before tossing a smoke bomb at the floor and disappears. Recovering Jackie gets to her feet and investigates the area only to find Toyota has made her escape. She then helps Velvet McIntyre to her feet and the two women shake hands before Jackie turns her attention to the ring where she locks eyes with the number one contender; Debbie Combs.
Okerlund: That vile witch.
Poffo: I don't think Randy Savage would appreciate you talking about his lady friend like that.
Okerlund: Not Debbie Combs. I'm talking about that Manami Toyota interfering in the match. Was it me or did she just help Combs steal the win?
Poffo: It's you Gene. I'm sure if not for the interruption by McIntyre she would've been next on Toyota's hit list.
Okerlund: Maybe. Ms. McIntyre certainly paid the price for interfering.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. Manami Toyota has definitely been making an impact here at Eastern Championship Wrestling since making her debut several weeks ago.
Okerlund: On that we can agree. She'd just better hope out Women's Champion Miss Texas doesn't get ahold of her.
Debonaire by Dope sounds as Rhino appears on stage still in his rhino luchador mask. McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring from Detroit Michigan, weighing in at 270 lbs.; he is "The Gore Machine" Rhino.
As Rhino stalks about the ring looking angry; The Bill Conti Overture is heard as Brian Lawler emerges from the back.
McGillicutty: And his opponent in this match scheduled for one fall weighing 213 lbs. from Memphis, Tennessee; Brian Lawler.Match: Rhino vs. Brian Lawler When Teddy Long starts the match; Rhino decides not to lock up; instead immediately smashing Brian Lawler in the face. Lawler stumbles backward as the assault continues, Rhino knocking him into the ropes before whipping him across the ring. Rhino immediately goes for The Gore; but Brian surprises him; connecting with a sunset flip powerbomb; which gets him a two count. Fixing his mask as he stumbles to his feet; Rhino is hit by several kicks courtesy of Lawler who ends his attack with a spinning heel kick that sends Rhino reeling. keeping up the momentum Brian hits a running bulldog on Rhino; planting him to the ring and making the cover he gets a second two count before Rhino kicks out hard. Enraged Rhino leaps to his feet and begins pounding on a stunned Lawler whom he nails with a spinebuster. Going for the pin Rhino nearly gets the win with Brian kicks out. Picking up his weary opponent; Rhino nails him with a bionic elbow before whipping Lawler across the ring again; setting him up for a powerbomb that never comes when there's a disturbance at ringside. Turning to see what's going on; Rhino glares at Blue Demon Jr. who is making his way down the ramp. Returning; Brian stops just short of Rhino and delivers a superkick to The Gore Machine laying him out. Going for the cover he makes the quick pin and rolls out of the ring as Blue Demon Jr. mounts the apron to enter; when out of nowhere Mongo Vyle appears with a steel chair and smashes the luchador in the back. The Demon cries out as he falls to the floor and is hit by a second chair shot. Soon Rhino is outside the ring screaming at Blue Demon Jr. as he instructs Vyle to lift up the fallen man. Getting Demon to his feet; Mongo steps aside just in time as Rhino hits a Gore on his tag-team partner. Rhino isn't finished yet however as he lifts Blue Demon up and whips him shoulder first into the steel steps. Walking over to him; Rhino removes his mask and spits onto the battered body of Blue Demon before tossing the mask at him. Mongo Vyle comes up and the two exchange a fist pound before Vyle signals for them to leave just as referees Teddy Long, Danny Davis; and ECW President Eric Bischoff make their way over to break up the fight. Okerlund: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to Eastern Championship Wrestling. I've said it once and I'll say it again. That kid Rhino is a jerk.
Poffo: Well you do love repeating yourself Gene.
Okerlund: Shut up Lanny. We've just received word here at ringside that a change will be taking place in our scheduled Fatal Four-Way Match as Blue Demon Jr. has suffered a shoulder injury and will not be able to perform here tonight. They're currently searching for a replacement.
Poffo: They could always just stick the mask on some other idiot.
God Save the Queen by The Sex Pistols sounds as Doug Williams makes his way to ringside.
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall; making his way to the ring now at 235 lbs. hailing from Manchester, England; "The U.K. Kidd" Douglas Williams. Ich tu der weh by Rammstein by Rammstein plays as The Blitzkrieg appears on stage followed by Baron Von Raschke.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring now accompanied by his manager Baron Von Raschke; hailing from The Republic of Germany at 323 lbs.; he is "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg.
Some generic music plays as S.D. Jones makes his way down the ramp.
McGillicutty: On his way to the ring from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania weighing in at 260 lbs.; S.D. Jones. And the final challenger replacing Blue Demon Jr. this evening; weighing in at 237 lbs. from Battle Creek, Michigan; he is "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam.
Rob Van Dam appears on stage showing off with a couple kicks and swaggers down to the ring where referee Danny Davis is shooing Baron Von Raschke out of the ring.Fatal Four-Way Match: Doug Williams vs. The Blitzkrieg vs. S.D. Jones vs. Blue Demon Jr. As the match starts; Doug Williams, S.D. Jones; and Rob Van Dam line up on one side of the ring and talk amongst one another as The Blitzkrieg stands perfectly still watching them. At a signal from Jones; the two younger men launch into action and running past the monster before them; simultaneously leap onto the top rope and springboard back at The Blitzkrieg as they deliver a duble enziguiri kick to the back of the big man's head causing him to stumble foward a bit. Hitting the floor Williams and RVD roll clear as S.D. Jones charges their opponent with a huge shoulder block... which has no effect. Staring up at the huge mountain of a man in fear; Jones steps back as Doug and Rob return on either side of him and both of them deliver a simultaneous kick to the back of The Blitzkrieg's legs. Unphased by this attack too; The Blitzkrieg's arms dart out grabbing both men by the necks. As Williams and Van Dam struggle Blitzkrieg brings their heads together smashing their skulls before tossing them to the side. S.D. Jones looks scared but puts up a fight as he delivers several punches to the belly of the beast before The Blitzkrieg lifts him into the air and powerbombs him to the floor. Dropping to one knee The Blitzkrieg makes the cover as Doug Williams and Rob Van Dam get back to their feet; Williams hitting a springboard moonsault to the back of Blitzkrieg while Van Dam catches the monster in the face with a dropkick. Neither move has much effect as Blitzkrieg holds his position while Davis counts to three giving him the win. Seeing that further action is useless both RVD and Williams roll from the ring; but Van Raschke is there waiting and attempts to deliver the Brainclaw to Rob Van Dam.Just as he locks in the hold however Doug Williams is there making the save with a backbreaker over his knee to Raschke. Witnessing this from inside the ring The Blitzkrieg howls in anger and plods out of the ring after Williams and Van Dam who make their escape up the ramp. Inside the ring Davis helps S.D. Jones to his feet.
Okerlund: This is unbelievable. The Blitzkrieg just defeated three men at once. Will anybody be able to put a stop to this monster?
Poffo: Survey says no.Okerlund: Welcome back Wrestling Fans to tonight's Main Event here at Eastern Championship Wrestling. The World Champion Macho Man Randy Savage is set to take on "Maniac" Matt Borne in a non-title match.
Poffo: Well if Matt Borne thinks he's going to win here tonight Gene; we'd best redub him "Delusional" Matt Borne. He may be a maniac in his own mind; but the guy has yet to win a match here at Eastern Championship Wrestling.
Pomp and Circumstance plays as Randy Savage appears with the Eastern Heavyweight Championship on one shoulder and Debbie Combs on the other. He holds the belt out to the crowd as he makes his way to the ring.
McGillicutty: Tonight's Main Event is scheduled for one fall and is a non-Title Match. Making his way to the ring weighing in at 237 lbs.; from Sarasota, Florida he is the Eastern Heavyweight Champion of the World; "The Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Some generic rock music plays as Matt Borne appears on stage pounding his hands together.
McGillicutty: And his challenger from Elwood City, Pennsylvania weighing 243 lbs. "Maniac" Matt Borne.Main Event: Randy Savage vs. Matt Borne Macho Man Randy Savage points and laughs at Maniac Matt Borne as he gets into the ring; Debbie Combs joining in. Teddy Long starts the match as Borne attacks Savage; taking him down with a hard right hand. He continues the assault as Long gets Combs to safety outside the ring. Dragging Randy into the corner Maniac puts the boots to Savage while Teddy removes the belt from the ring. As he goes to break up the competitors; Matt has already lifted Savage to his feet and with a look of glee on his face powerbombs the Champion onto the turnbuckle. Falling into the ring Savage writhes in pain while Long admonishes Borne. Savage makes it to one knee before Matt returns to beating on him and Savage begins fighting his way up; finally in desperation kicking Matt in the knee; taking him to the mat. Getting to his feet Savage hits Borne with a double-axe handle smash to the back before stomping on him. He then goads Maniac Matt Borne on as his opponent gains his feet. He begins the assault as both men begin trading punches until Randy Savage takes Matt Borne down with a clothesline. Savage is fired up and hauling Matt to his feet delivers a backbreaker to his opponent. It's obvious Randy is out to punish Matt when he pulls him to his feet again and runs him shoulder first into the turnbuckles. Pointing to Borne as he hangs on the turnbuckles; Randy Savage has fun posing for the crowds until Arn Anderson's intro hits. Savage looks shocked at the entrance ramp but nobody is there. After a few moments Arn Anderson shows himself and turning back beckons somebody to join him. It's Miss Elizabeth! Taking her hand Anderson gives her a twirl and shrugs to Macho Man who is livid in the ring. Savage begins screaming at Anderson from inside the ring; but is cut short as he is grabbed from behind and hit with a bridging German suplex by Matt Borne; who holds the struggling Champion down for the three count.
Lights Fade.

01/26/94 - Viking Hall Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome to Eastern Championship Wrestling; live with you tonight from Viking Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In tonight's Main Event; the Women's Championship is on the line as Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore defends her Title against "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs.
Poffo: A Woman's Title Match?
Okerlund: Ah yes; nearly forgot. With me as always is my brodcast partner Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. Thank you Gene. I'm sure your feeble brain was just in shock with the rest of us over this amazing Main Event.
Okerlund: No need to contain your enthuasism for our Woman's Division Lanny- Pomp and Circumstance plays as the Machon Man Randy Savage storms the arena; practically dragging Debbie Combs behind him. Inside the ring he grabs the microphone from Beulah McGillicutty. Savage: You're dismissed little lady. Ooh yeah. Anderson. Ole AA. You think you're funny. Playing games with The Macho Man. Causing him to lose. Lose to a nobody. An insignificant spec on the radar like Matt Borne. Yeah. Well let me tell you Arn. The Macho Man ain't havin' none of your games. You don't know the Macho Man. No. Never had to fight in his league. Dig it. Except of course when I took you down for the 1-2-3 yeah. And that's why The Macho Man knows you Arn. Cause you're right there. Right there a notch. A single notch above that Borne punk. And as for that tramp Elizabeth yeah. I don't need her. Don't need her then. Don't need her now. But you'd better hang onto her Anderson. Cause you're gonna need a someone to nurse ya, put ya back together yeah, when The Macho Man Randy Savage gets through with you. Dig it.
Macho Man adjusts the Championship Belt on his shoulder and looks like he's about to leave when Arn Anderson's intro starts and The Enforcer appears on Stage with Miss Elizabeth. Anderson: Now Randy. Macho Man. Whatever you're calling yourself. You just shut your lip. I've seen you in the ring and you're okay. You're a tough little bastard I'll giveya that. But you've got no techinque. You may know all about cutting promos, making guest appearances, selling toys; whatever; but you'll never, ever, know half of what ole Arn Anderson knows in that ring. And as far as Matt Borne goes, well get ready Randy, cause this thing of ours ain't close to being through. Now you may've thought you were being all slick, hip; maybe even smart when you kept that belt the way you did. Having a damned girl fight your battles. You like mind games Randy? Well get ready; cause The Enforcer is just getting started in on you. And Ms. Combs? I've got a few words for you too. But I'm gonna hold my tongue seeing as you look like a lady. Not that you are one mind. And while I may not hit you cause of that; well lemme tell you AA hasn't forgotten you either Miss.Randy Savage and Arn Anderson stare one another down as ECW cuts to commercial.Okerlund: Hello folks and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. For those just tuning in we just witnessed some strong words between the World Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson.
Poffo: While I'm no fan of the Macho Man by any means Gene; I have to say this whole ordeal boils down to one thing. Jealousy.
Okerlund: You think The Enforcer is jealous of Savage being World Champion?
Poffo: No Gene. It's that Macho Man has an action figure coming out.
Okerlund: While I highly doubt that's high on Arn Anderson's list; you're certainly right about our Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage having an action figure hitting store shelves now in the inaugural first set of Eastern Championship Wrestling action figures. So be sure to check your local Toys R Us, KayBee Toys, Child's World; or even Caldor for those kids.Poffo: Child's World went under in 1992 Gene. Not that we'd expect your brain to catch up to 1994 yet. But as I was saying look at this series 1 line-up. You've got The Macho Man Randy Savage of course, Ravishing Rick Rude, The Japanese Buzzsaw Yoshihiro Tajiri; and even the Long Island Loud-Mouth Chris Jericho. Note the abscence of an Arn Anderson. Which would indeed be a boring figure Gene.
Okerlund: No Lanny Poffo either.
Poffo: It's hard to capture such perfection Gene. It's only a toy company; I doubt they have Michaelangelo on the payroll.
The Canadian National Anthem plays.
Okerlund: Ahem. Moving along; it looks as though our first match of the evening is about to get underway.
McGillicutty: Our first match, scheduled for one fall; hailing from Ontario, Canada at 275 lbs.; he is Canada's Greatest Athlete; "Iron" Mike Sharpe.
As Sharpe enters the ring to a chorus of boos and hisses; The Bill Conti Overture sounds as Jerry "The King" Lawler emerges from ringside arm raised.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Memphis, Tennessee; weighing in at 243 lbs.; he is "The King" Jerry Lawler.Match: Mike Sharpe vs. Jerry Lawler As Davis starts the match Mike Sharpe charges Jerry Lawler hitting him hard with a forearm smash. Catching his opponent before he falls; Sharpe whips Lawler into the corner and hits him with a shoulder block before turning his back to The King whom he hits with a series of back elbows. Stepping aside Lawler falls face first onto the mat. As Lawler groggily makes it up to one knee Iron Mike puts him in a rear chinlock. In pain Jerry desperately claws at the arms of Sharpe who holds strong until The King wiggles free and hits his opponent with an elbow to the gut. Landing a second; Jerry gains some breathing room and fights his way back to his feet, trading blows with Mike who he has caught off-guard. Driving him back into the ropes; Lawler chokes him with his forearm to a three count before whipping him across the ring and nailing him with a running clothesline. Moving in for the pin Lawler gets a two count. Back on his feet Lawler hits an elbow drop before making another count; which Iron Mike powers out of at one. Jumping up Sharpe begins hammering on Lawler before taking him down with a lariat. Dropping down onto the mat with him Mike applies an armbar to The King which Lawler fights his way out of as her gets back to his feet; only to be put in a backslide by Sharpe who gets a two count. Both men getting quickly back to their feet; Sharpe is taken down once again with a hiptoss. Angered now; Iron Mike comes swinging as Jerry who nails him with a sitdown powerbomb out of nowhere and earns himself the win.Okerlund: Welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling here on our home station of TNN. With me at ringside is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: Good to see your memory has returned Gene. "Iron" Mike Sharpe didn't look half-bad in the ring tonight; though in the end Jerry "The King" Lawler proved to be too much for Canada's Greatest Athlete.
Okerlund: A rare compliment from Lanny Poffo. Our next bout about to get underway is a Triple-Threat Match in which "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady is set to lock up with "The Outlaw" Black Bart; and "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin.
Poffo: O'Grady and Black Bart are certainly no strangers in the ring; having been both one-time tag-team partners and oft time rivals. Ronnie Garvin is the real wildcard here. Irish Folk music plays as Erin O'Grady prances from ringside tossing gold coins to the crowd.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring at 212 lbs. from Dublin, Ireland; he is "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady.
The Folk music is replaced by Western banjo music as Black Bart appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: Our second challenger this evening weighing in at 285 lbs. from Pampa, Texas; "The Outlaw" Black Bart.
Ronnie Garvin's intro starts as he makes his way to the ring with his towel draped over his neck.
McGillicutty: And our final competitor in this Triple-Threat Match scheduled for one fall; from Quebec, Canada and weighing 231 lbs. "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin.Triple-Threat Match: Erin O'Grady vs. Black Bart vs. Ronnie Garvin The second Long starts the mat Erin O'Grady wastes no time in charging his old rival Black Bart who takes him down easily with a hiptoss. Smacking his hands together satisfied with himself; Bart isn't paying attention as O'Grady has kip-upped behind him and grabbing the big man from behind takes him down with a back breaker over his knee. Ronnie Garvin looks on weighing his opponents as Bart kicks out of a pin attempt at two. Throwing Erin up and off him; The Outlaw is shocked when The Leprechaun lands on his feet and kicks Bart in the face before leaping into the air and landing on him with a double knee drop. Erin moves in for the pin but gets a surprise from The Rugged One who pulls his young opponent off and attempts to cover Bart himself getting a one count. Angered by the interference; O'Grady runs in kicking Garvin in the face; but is soon grabbed from behind by Black Bart who spins Erin around and smashes him in the face. Garvin regains his footing as he watches the two men trade punches; O'Grady the clear loser of the fight. When Bart whips Erin across the ring; Garvin makes his move and comes in with a hard right that sends The Outlaw into the ropes. Keeping his momentum up Ronnie scoops up the big man and tosses him over the ropes to the floor below before returning to O'Grady who is on his way back. Hitting The Leprechaun with several blows to the face and stomach; Ronnie nails his opponent with a spinebuster planting him to the mat. The old veteran isn't finished yet however as he begins stomping on the downed man before turning him over into the sharpshooter. It isn't long before Erin howling in pain taps giving Garvin the win. Outside the ring meanwhile Black Bart has gotten back to his feet and is hollering at Ronnie whom he calls a "Cheat" from ringside as he makes his way up the ramp. Ronnie meanwhile wipes the sweat from his brow with his towel before throwing it on his conquered opponent below. Suddenly there's a disturbance at the ramp and as the camera pans up Ravishin Rick Rude is seen pummeling Black Bart whom he puts into a sleeper hold as Bischoff comes to ringside and talks him down. Rude finally relinquishes his hold when Bart's body goes limp on the ramp and makes his exit, swaggering to the back.
Okerlund: Well it looks like Rude is back and has made an example out of Black Bart after one hell of a win by Ronnie Garvin.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. It looks like all is not forgotten between these two competitors. Rick Rude has not forgotten Black Bart's role in the injuries he sustained several weeks ago.
Okerlund: One would have to suppose The Blitzkrieg will soon be on his agenda. The Baron Von Raschke's charge had better watch himself.
Poffo: Maybe if Rude was an idiot. Which obviously you are Gene. Rick Rude is far too smart to think attacking that Monster would be a good idea.Poffo: Oh the humanity!
Okerlund: Please excuse the interruption Wrestling Fans. With me at ringside is "The Genius" Lanny Poffo; and that was the sound of his braincells imploding.
Poffo: Steven versus Steven. Further proof Bischoff hates me. This has to be the worse match I've had to call all year.
Okerlund: It's only January.
Poffo: You're trying to say it could get worse?
Okerlund: Nope. Just saying. It could be worse.
Rollercoaster by Buddy Holly plays as Steven Richards appears on stage.
Poffo: It is worse.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring at 215 lbs. from Philidelphia, Pennsylvania; he is Steven Richards.
Steve Blackman's intro sounds as he appears on stage giving a display of his martial arts skills.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania weighing in at 246 lbs.; "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman.
Poffo: Sweet Jesus. Pennsylvania must be a breeding ground for these "Steves."Match: Steven Richards vs. Steve Blackman Inside the ring Steve Blackman points his Kendo Stick menacingly toward Lanny Poffo while Steven Richards grabs the microphone from Beulah McGillicutty before entering the ring.
Richards: Mr. Poffo. Mr. Poffo there's no need to get up from your desk. You see alot of people; well a lot of people would take your little digs at us; the Steves of the world to heart. Frankly alot of people would want to kick your ass. Hell I did. But luckily my buddy Steve Blackman here talked me out of it. Right Steve?
Blackman: ---
Richards: You see. Blackman thinks you're funny. I don't; but he does. What Steve Blackman says is that you don't really think that all Steves suck. No. He says you're joking. That you realize that there're tons of successful Steves. That you know like we know that Steves have dominated just about every entertainment industry. Take that king of comedy; Steve Martin.
Poffo: A jerk. Richards: Or how about "Walk This Way" Steven Tyler. Sing it with me Steve.
Blackman: ---
Poffo: Dude looks like a lady.
Richards: Acting? Stephen Baldwin? The most famous of the Badlwins no doubt. Right Steve?
Blackman remains silent but shakes his head.
Poffo: Guess these idiots never heard of Alec.
Richards: Ooh. Blackman really likes this one. Martial arts? You have Steven Seagal.
Blackman shows off his own martial arts skills.
Poffo: All he needs is the ponytail.
Richards: Then there's Steve Irwin.
Poffo: Who?
Richards: Probably the most famous Steven of all; Stephen Spielberg.
Poffo: 1941. Bombed.
Richards: And let's not forget that master of horror; Stephen King.
Poffo: Will someone put these two of of their misery?
Richards: But I'm sure you get the point. Steves; why; Steves don't suck. Steves in fact rule. Which is why Blackman here says you keep messing with us. You see talent. You wanted to get our attention. You see that together we two Steves could dominate the tag division. And you know what Mr. Poffo? We think just like the Beverly Brothers of yesterday you want to lead us from victory, to victory, to victory. Now don't say anything Mr. Poffo. We accept your offer. Thank you.
With that Richards and Blackman exit the ring as Lanny Poffo looks on in shock.
Okerlund: Well ladies and gentlemen I doubt any of us were expecting that. "Mr. Poffo" actually having fans.
Poffo: Shut up Gene.
Okerlund: Looks like you have a new team to manage. Just how many times were The Beverlys tag champs again?
Poffo: I think I would've preferred the ass-kicking. Okerlund: Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling here on TNN. We about to get set for som Tag-Team action. Hey Lanny isn't this your division?
Poffo: Shut up Gene.
Okerlund: While the following bout is a non-Title match; a win for Deep South over the Tag-Team Champions would without a doubt put them in the running for the Tag-Team Titles.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. It's probably the easiest way to become the number one contenders; or the hardest depending on just how tough the current Champions are. And The New Orient Express has definitely proven themselves a force to be reckoned with here at Eastern Championship.
Okerlund: Their manager Mr. Fuji definitely has alot to do with that. How would you contend with The Diabolical One; if say; "The Steves" were up against the Express Lanny?
Poffo: Shut it Gene.
Okerlund: Just curious.
Poffo: Curiosity killed something or another.
McGillicutty: The following non-Title match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first weighing in at 557 lbs. they are the team of Deep South "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch and The Junk Yard Dog.
Murdoch and JYD appear on stage in Chinese hats; squinting their eyes. The two men then start laughing and throw the bamboo hats on the floor and stomp them before making their way to the ring.
Another One Bites the Dust by Queen is replaced by The Kaientai Theme as The New Orient Express appears on the scene. Mr. Fuji looks down at the crushed hats and appears angry.
McGillicutty: And their opponents accompanied by "The Diabolical One" Mr. Fuji; hailing from Tokyo, Japan and weighing a combined 370 lbs.; they are the Eastern Tag-Team Champions Yoshihiro Tajiri and Taka Michinoku; The New Orient Express. At a signal from Mr. Fuji; Tajiri and Michinoku charge down the ramp and into the ring.Tag-Team Match: Deep South vs. The New Orient Express The Junk Yard Dog is saying something to referee Teddy Long when Yoshihiro Tajiri and Taka Michinoku both slide into the ring; Tajiri getting on all fours behind JYD as Taka leaps up onto the big man's shoulders and sends him toppling backward over The Buzzsaw. Long removes Yoshihiro from the ring as Michinoku makes the cover which The Dog kicks out of at one. Running at JYD who has gotten to one knee; Taka hits him with The Shining Wizard; sprawling JYD out on his back before going for a springboard moonsault. Going for the cover again Taka gets a two count before Dick Murdoch makes the save and kicks Michinoku off his partner. While the ref ejects Murdoch from the ring; Taka puts Junk Yard into the camel clutch. Unable to break Taka's grip; in agony JYD gets to one knee and to his feet with Taka still on his back. Growling the big man runs toward the turnbuckle, turning at the last second to flatten Michinoku in the ring posts. Now having Taka in their corner; Murdoch holds him against the ropes while a still weary JYD begins chopping and punching the smaller man. He tags Murdoch in when Long counts to four and they swap places; Murdoch assaulting Michinoku in the corner until he is hit from behind by a dropkick courtsey of Tajiri; which causes him to smash heads with his own partner. Dazed Captain Redneck is unable to stop Taka from escaping to his own corner as Long admonishes Tajiri who is soon tagged in. Looking t capitalize on Murdoch's stunned state, Yoshihiro looks for a bulldog; but recovered in time Dick catches him off-guard and comes at him swinging. Tajiri is beaten back by Murdoch who attempts to hit The Buzzsaw with a spinebuster only to have it countered with a DDT by his wiry adversary who puts him away for the 1-2-3.
Okerlund: Well color me shocked. The New Orient Express pulled that one off almost entirely without cheating.
Poffo: You have no idea what you're talking about Gene. The Japanese are an honorable people and would never resort to such low tactics. Such baseless accusations just speak of your own low characteristics.
Okerlund: Whatever Poffo. In our next match set to get under way we'll see the number one contender for the Heavyweight Championship "Maniac" Matt Borne in action against Blue Demon Jr. Matt Borne's profile certainly having increased since last week's broadcast where he defeated "The Macho Man" Randy Savage.
Poffo: Speaking of low characters; just why does this Blue Demon guys where a mask anyway? What does he have to hide?
McGillicutty: The following match is scheduled for one fall. On his way to the ring from Mexico City, Mexcio at 194 lbs. he is Blue Demon Jr. The Demon makes his way down the ramp in his cape as Survivor's Eye of the Tiger plays while waving to the fans.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Elwood City, Pennsylvania weighing 243 lbs. "Maniac" Matt Borne.Match: Blue Demon Jr. vs. Matt Borne Blue Demon Jr. looks on edge looking outside the ring as Danny Davis starts the match and Matt Borne charges in smashing him in the head with his forearm. The Demon falls back as Borne beats on his back and neck into the ropes before Jr. pushes him aside the get some distance. Springboarding off the ropes Demon Jr. connects with a dropkick sending Borne reeling back and proceeds to whip the Maniac across the ring. Hitting him with the spinning elbow; Blue Demon Jr. grabs the legs of the downed Borne looking for the Sharpshooter; but Maniac monkey flips him across the ring. Keeping on top of his opponent Matt puts the Demon in a rear chinlock before punching him in the head and lifitng him for an atomic drop. In full controll Maniac Matt proceeds to spin Blue Demon about and after a knee to the gut raises him for a powerbomb. Blue Demon fights back punching Borne in the head; but the bigger man takes the assault as he rushes to the corner and proceeds to powerbomb Blue Demon Jr. into the top turnbuckle. The Demon is out of it as Matt Borne drags him to the center of the ring and makes the pin.Okerlund: Welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling on TNN. The number one contended "Maniac" Matt Borne was in rare form tonight Lanny.
Poffo: And by rare form folks; Mean Gene means he was actually winning.
McGillicutty: Making his way to the ring accompanied by referee Matt Hyson; from New Rochelle, New York weighing 280 lbs. Devon Hughes.
Poffo: That's the ugliest valet in the history of wrestling.
Okerlund: Well he must've been pretty enough for you too rescue a couple weeks back.
Poffo: I have no recollection of said event.
Okerlund: Hyson who is currently at ringside is set to return to his referee duties next week.
An annoying buzzing is heard.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from White Bear Lake, Minnesota weighing 235 lbs. he is one half of The Killer Bees; "Jumping" Jim Brunzell.
Okerlund: Aw. No Mr. Moustache...
Poffo: Idiot.Match: Devon Hughes vs. Jim Brunzell Teddy Long starts the match as Devon Hughes and Jumping Jim Brunzell lock up. Circling about Devon catches Brunzell with an elbow to the head before locking in a full nelson. Jumping Jim struggles to get free for several moments before dropping to his knees and delivering a jawbreaker to Devon over his head. Stunned, Hughes staggers back into the ropes as Brunzell gets back to his feet and hits Devon with a hiptoss. Lifting his opponent up Jumping punches Devon's head and back repeatedly before whipping to him into the ropes and delivering a dropkick on the return. Going for the cover he gets a two count on Hughes who powers out. Getting to one knee Devon begins trading blows with The Killer Bee, who finds himself on the losing end when Hughes grabs his arm and pulls him in for a shoulder block. Back on his feet Devon begins laying into his opponent with punch after punch before Irish whipping him across the ring, hopping over him on the return and taking him down with a brutal armdrag on his way back. Keeping on him Devon locks in the armbar; smashing Brunzell in the head with his left hand as he tries to escape. Letting him up Devon kicks stumbling Jim before nailing him with a spinebuster; and going for the pin he picks up the win.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling as we get set for this evening's Main Event as our Women's Champion Miss Texas J Jacqueline Moore is set to take on "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs.
Poffo: This match a direct result of a Triple-Threat Match for the number one contendership last week here at Eastern Championship in which Combs picked up a clean win over Velvet McIntyre and Leilani Kai.
Okerlund: There's nothing clean about Ms. Combs.
Poffo: I wouldn't go telling Randy Savage that.
Okerlund: Ahem. I meant about how she won that mact of course.
Poffo: Sure you did Gene. Sure you did.
McGillicutty: The following Title Match is scheduled for one fall and is for the Women's Championship. On her way to the ring from Dallas, Texas weighing in at 119 lbs. she is the Women's Champion Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore.
Miss Texas' intro starts as she appears on stage and waves her cowboy hat to the crowd before making her way to the ring with the Championship about her waist. When she hands the belt over to Danny Davis; "Hot Stuff" by Donna Summers plays.
McGillicutty: And he challenger hailing from Fort Campbell Kentucky at 127 lbs.; "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs.Main Event Women's Title Match: Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore vs. Debbie Combs As Davis starts the match the Women's Champion Miss Texas Jacqueline Moore looks to shake hands with her opponent; only to have it slapped away by Hot Stuff Debbie Combs. Angered by this Jacqueline smacks Debbie across the face and the two women begin brawling about the ring. When they resort to pulling hair; Davis breaks them up. Locking back up Jacqueline whips Combs across the ring; who counters with a springboard crossbody. Going for the pin Debbie gets a near two count of the Champ who powers out. As Jacqueline attempts to get to her feet she is assaulted by stomps and kicks courtesy of Combs whom Jacqueline lays low with a huge clotheline. Picking up her opponent Jacqueline runs her into the turnbuckle and begins beating on her in the corner. When Davis admonishes her; Miss Texas whips Debbie across the ring and chasing after her takes the challenger down with a running bulldog. Looking for the pin Moore gets a two count. Lifting Debbie back to her feet; this time Miss Texas is in for the surprise when Debbie connects with a swinging neckbreaker which earns Combs a two count. Back to her feet first Debbie delivers several knee drops on her fallen opponent before climbing the turnbuckle and waiting. Getting to one knee it appears the Champion doesn't see Combs; but she soon turns and charges the corner; climbing up to her opponent to deliver a huge snap suplex from the top rope. Both women are now down and hurt on the mat; but Moore has enough in her to make the cover. Just as Davis is about to count three however; he is pulled up and tossed out of the ring by Manami Toyota who has appeared out of nowhere. Kicked off of Combs; Jacqueline Moore sees Toyota as the mysterious woman begins stomping on her. Rolling out of the way Miss Texas charges Manami who it taken off-guard with a clothesline. Down on the mat Toyota bounces back up only to receive a second clothesline from the Women's Champ who then lifts her and hits a German Suplex. Knowing when she is beat; Toyota rolls from the ring. Jacqueline raises her arms victorious and doesn't see that Debbie Combs is now back on her feet; taking Jackie down with a hangman's neckbreaker. She goes for the pin just seconds before a dazed Danny Davis returns to the ring to deliver the count; which Jacqueline kicks out of just before the three. Lifting her opponent up; Combs proceeds to deliver a powerbomb to Jacqueline and going for the cover again; this time uses the ropes for leverage. Just then however Arn Anderson' music hits distracting Danny Davis who turns toward the stage as The Enforcer makes his way to the ring. He points toward Debbie's legs which Danny yells at her about before turning his attention back to Anderson whom he wants to return to the back. Debbie is furious and pulls her hair while Miss Texas stirs on the ground. Behind Davis' back Miss Elizabeth appears from the audience and entering the ring surprises Combs with a slap across the face; before she grabs Debbie by the hair and plants her face first into the ring. Rolling out of the ring; Elizabeth climbs the barricade back into the crowd. At this point Arn Anderson backs his way up the stage and Miss Texas has risen to one knee. Jacqueline is still visibly worn and waits for Combs to wake. As Debbie Combs rises to her feet Jacqueline Moore connects with a spinning heel kick to her opponent's temple and makes the pin; to retain the Women's Championship.
Lights Fade.
