Lee Marshall talks with Skandor Akbar, Moadib and Bam Bam Bigelow.

Highlights of the Moadib v. Kevin Von Erich match from July 4. Moadib wins, afterwards Kevin puts Moadib over, and offers a handshake. Moadib shakes his hand.

Akbar is PISSED that Moadib would shake hands with one of Akbar’s mortal enemies!

Akbar proceeds to FIRE Moadib, and Bigelow attacks him. Moadib takes a beating, but makes a comeback. Bigelow and Akbar hightail it out of the ring.

Highlights of Louie Spicolli and Terri interrupting an interview with Konnan on last week’s show.

Scott Hudson hypes tonight’s main event, Louie Spicolli challenging Konnan for the Global title. Dick Slater, the former Global Champ is still in the title picture as well.


Dick Slater def. Heavy Metal after a brainbuster.


Lee Marshall is with GWF Commissioner Dutch Mantell in Mantell’s office. There is a nice, shiny new Championship belt on the desk in front of Dutch.

Mantell says that this belt is the Pan-American Cruiserweight Championship. There will be a tournament held over the next several weeks on TV, starting next week, to crown the first Champion. He runs down the 8 men that will compete in the tournament:

Highlights of Barry Windham in action. It’s announced that Windham, a former WCW U.S. Champion and World Heavyweight Champion, will soon be coming to the Global Wrestling Federation.


Global Tag Team Champions The Pitbulls (w/ Tori) def. Los Villanos. Pitbull 1 pinned Villano IV following the Superbomb.


Highlights of Rey Mysterio, El Hijo Del Santo and Octagon’s feud with Juvy Guerrera, Hysteria and Psychosis.

Lee Marshall talks with Mysterio, Santo and Octagon. Santo hopes to get his hands on Juvy in the Cruiserweight Title tournament. Mysterio is the tournament as well, and promises the fans he’ll do his very best to win.


Global Champion Konnan def. Louie Spicolli (w/ Terri) by DQ. When Konnan has the match well in hand, Terri interferes, causing the DQ. Terri and Spicolli put the boots to Konnan, until THE PITBULLS arrive on the scene. Louie and Terri bail out of the ring and hightail it to the back.

Scott Hudson hypes the show, and says the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title tournament begins tonight, with Rey Mysterio Jr. facing off with Little Guido Maritano.

Pre-taped Promo w/ Moadib. We’re in Moadib’s living room, he’s sitting on the couch, dressed in a pair of jeans and a Dallas Cowboys t-shirt. Behind him, we see a trophy case, the camera focuses on a picture of Moadib, holding a Cowboys jersey.

Moadib says that getting fired by Akbar is the best thing that could have happened to him. Akbar has controlled him for far too long. He says that it’s time the fans knew the truth. His name is Ahmed Johnson, he’s from Pearl River, Mississippi, and he played in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys. He talks about the picture in the trophy case, saying that it’s from draft day, where he was selected by the Cowboys.

Moadib, err, Ahmed, wraps things up by challenging Bam Bam Bigelow to a match.


Bill Irwin def. Global TV Champion Ahmed Johnson by Count-Out. During the match, Bam Bam Bigelow comes down to the ring, without Akbar, and argues with Johnson. This gives Irwin a chance to attack Ahmed from behind, but Johnson quickly turns the tables and nearly decapitates Irwin with a wicked clothesline.

While that’s going on, Bigelow picks up the Global TV belt, and admires it for a moment. Ahmed turns his attention back to Bigelow . . . just in time to see Bigelow WALK OFF WITH THE TV BELT!!!

Ahmed tries to get out of the ring, but he’s attacked again by Irwin. Ahmed tosses him aside and jumps out of the ring, and takes off after Bigelow. The referee counts to 10, and awards the match, by Count-Out, to Bill Irwin.


Highlights are shown of all 8 wrestlers that will take part in the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title tournament.

Promo w/ The Pitbulls and Tori. They’re in a gym, working out. Tori says that she hasn’t forgotten about Louie Spicolli giving her the Death Valley Driver, and promises Spicolli that her Pitbulls are going to destroy him! She tells Terri that if she ever gets her hands on Terri, she’ll kick her ass!


Rey Mysterio Jr. def. Little Guido Maritano to advance in the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title tournament. It’s a hard-fought match that runs about 20 minutes. Mysterio pulls out of a victory after a Springboard Legdrop.


Lee Marshall is joined in the ring by Dick Slater.

Slater wants to know why everybody seems to have forgot about him? He says that he’s the former Global Champion, but does he get a rematch for the belt, after Konnan STOLE it from him? Hell no! He says that punk Louie Spicolli got a shot, but not him. He says that he’s going to get another shot at that belt, even if he has to go through every other wrestler in the Global Wrestling Federation. He wraps things up by telling Konnan that he’d better watch out, because he’s coming to take that belt back.

Scott Hudson hypes the show, and says the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title tournament continues tonight, as the legend, El Hijo Del Santo, squares off with Damien 666.

Lee Marshall talks with Kevin Von Erich. Von Erich is wearing a suit, and says that he has some big news. Dutch Mantell has taken a leave of absence, to take care of some personal family issues, and he asked Kevin to fill in for him as acting Commissioner. Kevin says that he’s agreed, and for the foreseeable future, he will be the GWF Commissioner!


Louie Spicolli (w/ Terri) def. El Dandy after nailing Dandy with the Death Valley Driver for the pinfall.

Afterwards, Spicolli continues to assault Dandy, until The Pitbulls hit the ring and chase Louie and Terri off. Pitbull 1 swings the chain that he carries around, just missing Louie’s head!


Lee Marshall talks backstage with Skandor Akbar and Bam Bam Bigelow. Bigelow’s got Ahmed Johnson’s Global TV Title belt. Marshall says that Moadib, now going by his real name, Ahmed Johnson, is chomping at the bit, he wants to get his hands on Bam Bam Bigelow!

Akbar says that’s not going to happen. Moadib, or Ahmed, or whatever he wants to call himself, is only small potatoes. They’re not going to concern themselves with him. He’s got something far more important to talk about. As Marshall, and all the fans can see, he know has the Global TV Title back, and now for the next phase of his plan . . . he wants the Global Heavyweight Champion KONNAN!

Akbar says that next week, he will make Konnan an offer he simply won’t be able to refuse, and promises Marshall that by the time next week’s show ends, Global Champion Konnan will be a member of his stable!


Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis def. Los Villanos. A rare heel v. heel match here. The fans are treated to a match full of insane, death-defying high flying moves! The match comes to an end with Juvy uses the Juvy Driver on Villano V to get the pinfall.


Highlights of Barry Windham in action.

Promo w/ Barry Windham. Barry is at his family’s ranch in west Texas. He says that it’s been a while since he was able to wrestle in Texas, in front of his family and friends, but he’s coming back! He says that he’ll be arriving in the GWF very soon.


El Hijo Del Santo def. Damien 666 to advance in the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title tournament. Santo gets the win after a Flying Somersault Headbutt.


Lee Marshall talks with Juventud Guerrera, Hysteria and Psychosis.

Juvy says that he’s going to win this Pan-American Cruiserweight Title, and says that, if he meets Santo in the tournament, he’s going to do what they tried to do several weeks ago, remove the mask of El Hijo Del Santo and reveal his identity to the World!

Akbar won’t disappoint, and he asks Global Champion Konnan to come to the ring!

Konnan comes out.

Akbar tells Konnan that the young man has already accomplished a lot, he was the AAA World Champion, and unified that belt with the Global Title to become the one TRUE World Champion. He says that things are only going to get tougher, but if he sides with Akbar, the General can make sure that Konnan holds onto the belt for as long as he wants. He also talks about his oil connections, and says that he can make Konnan wealthy beyond his wildest dreams!

Konnan thinks about it for a moment, and seems to seriously be considering it. But finally, he responds, and tells Akbar that, as Akbar said, Konnan has done just fine without a manager, and that’s the way he’d like to continue.

Akbar pushes some more, telling Konnan to give it some more thought.

Konnan says he’s already made up his mind, and turns and leaves the ring. Akbar’s left, speechless, in the ring.


Global Tag Team Champions The Pitbulls (w/ Tori) def. Latin Lover and El Dandy. Dandy gets Superbombed, and then pinned by Pitbull 2.


Lee Marshall talks with Barry Windham in the ring. Windham says that he’s wrestled all over the World, and while that has been a wonderful experience, he’s happy to be back home in Texas!

Marshall says Windham will be in action next week.


Dick Slater def. Billy Kidman by pinfall after hitting Kidman with a brainbuster.


Lee Marshall talks with Global TV Champion Ahmed Johnson. Marshall talks about what happened last week, with Bigelow stealing the TV belt.

Johnson is PISSED. He tells Bigelow that he’ll give him until the end of the show to return the belt, otherwise, he can’t be held responsible for what happens to Bam Bam!


Hysteria def. El Samurai to advance in the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title tournament. The match runs almost the entire 30 minute time limit, but Hysteria gets the win after a Legdrop from the top rope.


Lee Marshall talks with Skandor Akbar in the ring. Marshall recaps what happened earlier, with Konnan turning down Akbar’s offer.

Akbar says that Konnan is obviously a very stupid man, and says that he’s going to pay dearly for embarrassing him like that!

HUDSON is joined at ringside by GENERAL SKANDOR AKBAR and BAM BAM BIGELOW. Bigelow still has the Global TV belt, that he stole from Ahmed Johnson.

AKBAR says Konnan has made a very big mistake, a mistake that will cost him much more than just the Global Title. He says that for humiliating Akbar, Konnan will pay with his CAREER!!!

HUDSON asks about Bigelow stealing the Global TV Title from Ahmed Johnson.

AKBAR says he didn’t steal anything. The belt was the property of Akbar and Devastation, Inc, NOT Moadib or Ahmed Johnson or whatever he wants to call himself. All Bigelow did was retrieve the belt for him, and bring it back to it’s rightful owner.

BIGELOW then announces himself as the new Global TV Champion!

Bigelow and Akbar leave ringside.

HUDSON tells the fans that, despite what Akbar and Bigelow say, Ahmed Johnson is the official Global TV Champ, NOT Bam Bam Bigelow.

BARRY WINDHAM v. MANDO GUERRERO – These two put on a good, scientific, fast-paced match. Windham has the size and strength advantage here, and it comes in handy when Mando bounces off the ropes and goes for a cross body block. Windham catches him, and plants him with a slam. As Mando gets to his feet, Barry runs the ropes, and delivers a Bulldog for the pin.


LEE MARSHALL is in the backstage area with Global TV Champion AHMED JOHNSON.

LEE talks about Bam Bam Bigelow stealing the TV Title belt from Ahmed.

JOHNSON says he gave Bam Bam until the end of last week’s show to return his belt, which Bigelow failed to do. He warns Bam Bam that he’s going to get his belt back, one way or another.


SCOTT HUDSON has big news. On Saturday night, September 3, 1994, the stars of the Global Wrestling Federation will be at the Will Rogers Coliseum right here in Dallas for a HUGE event . . .



WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE!!!


HUDSON says that he’ll have more information on matches that will take place at this event, but as of now, two matches have been signed . . . the finals of the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title will take place at the event, and for the Global TV Championship, Ahmed Johnson meets the man that stole the belt from him, Bam Bam Bigelow!

SCOTT HUDSON says that they have a video for the fans.


The camera is in a dimly-lit room. After a moment, it seems like a boiler room. Just off-camera, we hear maniacal laughter.

The camera focuses on a man, standing with his back to us, facing a brick wall. He’s laughing uncontrollably, and then suddenly begins slamming his head against the wall!!

The man continues to laugh as his head repeatedly hits the wall with a thud!

HUDSON is visibly disturbed by what we just saw. He says that he’s been told the man goes by the name of Hugh Morrus, and from what we just saw, Hudson says that he obviously is in some serious need of professional help!


MARC LAWRENCE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the next match.


DICK SLATER v. BILLY KIDMAN – Poor Kidman, he doesn’t stand a chance here. Slater offers a handshake to start, and when Kidman accepts, Slater boots him in the stomach. From that point on, it’s all Dick Slater. Slater throws Kidman from the ring, and proceeds to slam his head into the ringpost outside the ring. Back in, Slater dumps Kidman on his head with a brainbuster, leading to the pinfall.

Afterwards, Slater pulls Kidman up . . . and delivers ANOTHER brainbuster!


Slater grabs the house mic from Marc Lawrence, and as Kidman is helped from the ring, Slater says that until he’s given another shot at the Global Title, what we just saw, his opponent being carried from the ring, is going to become a regular occurance. He says that a lot of people are gonna get hurt, unless Kevin Von Erich gives him another shot at Konnan.

SCOTT HUDSON talks about the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title tournament, which started a few weeks ago on this program.


Highlights are shown of the first three 1st Round matches: Mysterio v. Little Guido, Santo v. Damien, and Hysteria v. El Samurai.


HUDSON says that Rey Mysterio Jr, El Hijo Del Santo and Hysteria have all advanced, and the final 1st Round match will take place tonight, as Juventud Guerrera takes on Jackie Fulton.

SCOTT then talks about the rivalry between El Hijo Del Santo and Juventud Guerrera. He says that the two men faced each other back on July 11.


Juvy almost steals the win with his feet on the ropes after a Juvy Driver, but the referee catches it. Juvy’s downfall comes when Santo rolls out of the way when Juvy attempts a 450 splash and Juvy eats canvas!!! Santo quickly locks in La Magistral Cradle for the three count!!!

Winner: El Hijo Del Santo via pin @14:33
Juvy cannot believe what just happened. He starts throwing a temper tantrum and motions to the back and out runs

LEE MARSHALL is standing by with Global Tag Team Champions THE PITBULLS and their manager TORI.

MARSHALL talks about their problems with Louie Spicolli and Terri. It seems every time they are about to get their hands on Louie and Terri, they bail.

TORI says that Louie Spicolli can only run for so long. Sooner or later, they’re going to corner him, and he’ll have no choice but to stand up and fight. When that happens, she says that the fans will see the end of Louie Spicolli!

TORI continues, talking about Terri, and she goes so far as to issue a challenge to Terri, for a match right here next week on Global Wrestling!


HUDSON says that it looks like we may have a catfight on our hands next week!


MARC LAWRENCE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the final match of the show.


PAN-AMERICAN CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH:
JUVENTUD GUERRERA (w/ Psychosis) v. JACKIE FULTON – Fulton is no slouch, and he goes hold for hold, move for move, with Juvy. Guerrera seems to get more and more frustrated as the match goes on. Late in the match, Psychosis interjects himself, by tripping Fulton as Jackie runs the ropes. This brings Octagon and Rey Mysterio out to the ring. They brawl with Psychosis outside the ring, while Juvy works over Fulton inside the ring.

Fulton regains control of the match, but Juvy responds with a low blow, then delivers the Juvy Driver. The referee makes the count, and doesn’t see Juvy grab a handful of Fulton’s trunks for good measure. Fulton can’t kick out, and Juvy gets the win in 18 minutes.


HUDSON says that that does it for the first round of the tournament. The four semi-finalists are Rey Mysterio Jr, El Hijo Del Santo, Juventud Guerrera and Hysteria.

The Semi-finals start next week, and the Finals will take place at When Worlds Collide '94 on September 3.

HUDSON talks about what happened last week, with Konnan refusing to join forces with Skandor Akbar.

HERE COMES SKANDOR AKBAR!

THE GENERAL has a sly grin on his face. He tells Konnan that he’s had some time to think about what Konnan says, and he wants him to know that he understands. He tells Konnan that there are no hard feelings.

AKBAR offers his hand to Konnan, who eyes Akbar cautiously. Finally Konnan shakes his hand.


What Konnan doesn’t see is someone making their way out . . . it’s All-Japan’s Triple Crown Champion MITSUHARU MISAWA.

Akbar won’t let go of Konnan’s hand, and the Champion gets BLINDSIDED by Misawa!

Misawa clobbers Konnan with a clothesline that puts the Champion on the floor. Misawa and Akbar put the boots to Konnan.


Misawa pulls Konnan up off the floor . . .

TIGER DRIVER ’91!!!

Misawa nails Konnan with the Tiger Driver ’91, right on the cement floor!

He may have broke the Champion’s neck!!!

Konnan’s not moving.

AKBAR says that he told Konnan that he would pay with his career!

Misawa continues to stomp away at Konnan.

AKBAR tells Hudson that he made a quick trip to the Orient to scout for new talent, and Misawa was at the top of his list.

AKBAR then looks into the camera, and tells the fans watching at home that they’ve just witnessed the end of their beloved Konnan!


SCOTT HUDSON says we’re out of time for this week!


Misawa and Akbar continue to assault the Global Champion as the show comes to an end.

HUDSON welcomes us to the Sportatorium, and says that the GWF is the wildest 60 minutes of wrestling you’ll see anywhere on the planet.

At the top of the program, we saw what happened to Global Champion Konnan at the end of last week’s show. It seemed that Skandor Akbar had a change of heart, but it was all a ruse, and as we saw, Triple Crown Champion MITSUHARU MISAWA made his GWF debut by assaulting the Champion.

Despite that vicious attack last week, Konnan is here tonight, and he’s on his way out right now!


HUDSON is joined by the Global Champion KONNAN at ringside.

KONNAN says that last week, he took everything Akbar and Misawa could throw at him, and he’s still standing!

HUDSON puts Misawa over, saying that he’s been Triple Crown Champion for almost 2 years, and many experts consider him the best wrestler, pound for pound, in the World today.

KONNAN says that Misawa is a great athlete . . . but he’s better. He says after what happened last week, he went to Kevin Von Erich and asked for a match with Misawa . . . right here tonight on Global Wrestling!

KONNAN says that neither title will be on the line, but he says that Von Erich agreed to his request, that if he beats Misawa tonight, then he gets a shot at the Triple Crown next week! He says that he’s already got TWO World Titles, and after he beats Misawa tonight, next week he’ll add the Triple Crown to the collection!

HUDSON says that it’s shaping up to be a must-see show. Konnan faces Mitsuharu Misawa, and Kevin Von Erich has also granted Tori Powers a match with Terri tonight and that match will be coming up right after the break!

WOMEN’S MATCH
TORI POWERS v. TERRI – The Pitbulls and Louie Spicolli were not allowed to come to ringside with their managers for this one. There is no wrestling whatsoever here, it’s nothing but a catfight, complete with slapping, hairpulling, and even some playful spanking! ;D

The “match” has been going on for no more than two or three minutes when Louie Spicolli charges to the ring. Spicolli trips Tori as she runs the ropes, and then jumps into the ring.

Spicolli holds Tori while Terri winds up and slaps her hard across the face.

This brings the Pitbulls out to the ring!

The Tag Champs jump into the ring and quickly corner Louie Spicolli and Terri.

This is it, the Pitbulls are finally going to get their hands on Spicolli!!

Louie has other ideas . . . and pushes Terri into the arms of the Pitbulls, distracting them long enough for him to jump out of the ring!

The Pitbulls toss Terri aside, and take off after Spicolli. Tori Powers knocks Terri around a little bit, then sits her on the top turnbuckle . . . and delivers a Super-plex! Tori covers Terri for the 1,2,3.


SCOTT HUDSON can’t believe what we just saw, he says that Spicolli literally threw Terri to the wolves, just to save his own skin!


LEE MARSHALL is standing by backstage with SKANDOR AKBAR, BAM BAM BIGELOW and Triple Crown Champion MITSUHARU MISAWA. Bigelow still has Ahmed Johnson’s TV Title belt.

MARSHALL talks about what happened last week, with Misawa appearing out of nowhere and attacking Konnan. He says that Tiger Driver on the floor was one of the most brutal things he’s ever seen in wrestling.

AKBAR laughs and says that what happened last week is only the beginning for Konnan. He can’t believe Konnan would be stupid enough to actually ASK for a match with Misawa. He says that the stipulation that Konnan added doesn’t bother them, because there’s no way Konnan can beat Misawa.

AKBAR says that he did, wowever, make sure that Von Erich agreed that the stipulation would work both ways . . . which means that when Misawa beats Konnan tonight, they will indeed wrestle again next week . . . but it will be KONNAN’S belt on the line, not Misawa’s!

MISAWA, in Japanese, says that tonight, he will finish what he started last week.

LEE says that hopefully that was subtitled for the fans watching at home.

MARSHALL then addresses the situation between Bam Bam Bigelow and Ahmed Johnson, noting that the belt that Bigelow is carrying around, the Global TV Title belt, actually belongs to Ahmed, not Bigelow.

BIGELOW tells Marshall to shut his yap, and quit lying to the fans. He says that this belt has always been the property of Devastation, Inc. and when Ahmed was fired, he lost any claim to this belt. Bigelow says that Akbar is the rightful owner of this belt, and Akbar proclaimed HIM as the new TV Champion!

AKBAR says that, at When Worlds Collide, Ahmed will go down in defeat to the one TRUE Global TV Champion, Bam Bam Bigelow!


SCOTT HUDSON sends us to another promo from Hugh Morrus.


We return to the same dimly-lit room as last week. Morrus is again standing with his back to the wall. He hits his head against the wall a few times, laughing maniacally the entire time.

This time, Hugh turns and faces the camera, with blood trickling down his face.

MORRUS says that he is no stranger to the Dallas area, and says that fans and wrestlers alike were happy to see him leave the last time. He says that he’s coming back, and the GWF will never be the same again!

Morrus starts laughing again, and goes back to hitting his head against the wall!


HUDSON says that is one disturbed individual.

LEE MARSHALL is in the ring with TORI POWERS and the GWF Tag Team Champions THE PITBULLS.

LEE talks about the match that took place earlier this evening, between Tori and Terri.

TORI says that Louie Spicolli showed his true colours tonight. He’s not a man, he’s a spineless coward.

PITBULL #1 says that Spicolli left the building earlier, he was already gone by the time they got to the backstage area, and they know this because they followed the trail of urine all the way to the exit! He says that Spicolli was so terrified of the Pitbulls, that he wet himself!

They all share a laugh.

PITBULL #2 says that this has gone on long enough, it’s time to put an end to Louie Spicolli and Terri, once and for all. He challenges Louie and Terri to find another wrestler to team with them, and face the three of them in a mixed tag team match at When Worlds Collide!


SCOTT HUDSON says that on Saturday night, September 3, 1994, the stars of the Global Wrestling Federation will be at the Will Rogers Coliseum right here in Dallas for their next big event . . .



WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE!!!


HUDSON says that what we know right now is that the finals of the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title tournament will take place on the card, and Ahmed Johnson will defend the Global TV Title against Bam Bam Bigelow. The Pitbulls and Tori have challenged Louie Spicolli and Terri to find a partner and face them in a mixed tag team match.

SCOTT then recaps what we’ve seen in the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title tournament so far.


Footage is shown from all four first round matches . . . Mysterio v. Little Guido, Santo v. Damien, Guerrera v. Fulton, and Hysteria v. El Samurai.


HUDSON says that our semi-final round is set, Rey Mysterio Jr. squares off with Juventud Guerrera and El Hijo Del Santo meets Hysteria. The Mysterio v. Juvy match will take place after the break.

SCOTT HUDSON says that VAMPIRO has been wrestling up in Canada for the past few weeks, however, he’s been following the goings-on here in Dallas, and got in touch with Scott late last week, after hearing about the attack on his friend Konnan.

HUDSON says that Vampiro told him that he’s been in touch with Konnan, and told the Global Champion that he’d be back in the GWF very soon, and promised Konnan that he’s got his back in this war with Akbar. He says that Vampiro also asked him to let the fans know that he misses them very much and while it’s nice to be wrestling in his home country of Canada, there’s nothing quite like performing in front of the GWF fans at the Sportatorium!


MARC LAWRENCE is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the next match.


PAN-AMERICAN CRUISERWEIGHT TOURNAMENT – SEMI FINALS:
REY MYSTERIO JR. (w/ El Hijo del Santo) v. JUVENTUD GUERRERA (w/ Psychosis) – Rey and Juvy put on a classic match that has the fans on the edge of their seats for nearly the entire bout.

(For anyone who hasn’t seen a match between these two before:


After about 12 minutes of fast-paced, non-stop action, Juvy distracts referee John Finnegan while Psychosis gets up onto the ring apron and climbs to the top turnbuckle. Psychosis delivers a missile dropkick to the back of Rey’s head, then rolls out of the ring before Finnegan turns around.

Santo brawls with Psychosis at ringside while Guerrera delivers the 450 Splash to Mysterio and covered him, with a handful of trunks, for the pinfall. Juventud Guerrera advances to the finals of the Cruiserweight Title tournament, with an assist from Psychosis!

Back from the break, DICK SLATER is on his way to the ring, and he’s dragging Lee Marshall along with him! Slater does not look to be in a good mood.

MARSHALL composes himself inside the ring, and demands to know what this is about?

SLATER says he’ll tell him what it’s about . . . he wants to know why he’s getting jerked around by the GWF? Everyone knows it should be him wrestling Konnan, not Misawa, and he wants to know what the hell is going on.

MARSHALL says that obviously the Championship Committee here in the GWF feels that Misawa deserves a match with Konnan.

SLATER says that he doesn’t give a damn what the Championship Committee “feels” and says that they had better make this right, because if not . . . well, let’s just say there are gonna be a lotta bodies piling up, and the Championship Committee will have to live with that on their conscience.

SLATER then shoves Marshall to the mat, and storms off.


SCOTT HUDSON talks about a wrestler that will be arriving soon in the GWF. He’s spent most of his career so far in Japan, but fans and promoters all over the World are starting to sit up and take notice.

This wrestler goes by the name of HAYABUSA.

We see a highlight video of Hayabusa, set to his theme in Japan “Fight with Dream”.




HUDSON says that Hayabusa is one of the most exciting young wrestlers around and he can’t wait to see him in action here in the GWF!

KONNAN v. MITSUHARU MISAWA (w/ General Skandor Akbar) – An added stipulation for this match is that whoever wins gets a shot at the other’s title on next week’s show. The match is a wild affair, as Konnan tears into Misawa as soon as the bell rings. The match stays fairly scientific early on, with both men trading holds and counterholds, but it eventually turns into a brawl.

Misawa eventually gains the upper hand, and appears to be on his way to victory, when the bell rings.

Ring announcer Marc Lawrence informs us that the time limit has expired . . . and the match is a DRAW.


SCOTT HUDSON wonders what that means for the stipulation that the winner gets a shot at the loser’s belt next week?

HUDSON says that’s all the time we have this week, and wraps things up. He hypes next week’s show, which will feature Hysteria taking on El Hijo del Santo, with the winner advancing to the Finals of the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title tournament on September 3 at When Worlds Collide.

And this is GLOBAL WRESTLING!!!


HUDSON welcomes us to the Sportatorium, and says that the GWF is the wildest 60 minutes of wrestling you’ll see anywhere on the planet.

Last week, Global Champion Konnan faced All-Japan Triple Crown Champion Mitsuharu Misawa, with the stipulation that the winner would get a shot at the loser’s title this week.


The match stays fairly scientific early on, with both men trading holds and counterholds, but it eventually turns into a brawl.

Misawa eventually gains the upper hand, and appears to be on his way to victory, when the bell rings.

SCOTT welcomes acting GWF Commissioner KEVIN VON ERICH to ringside.

KEVIN says that, since neither man technically lost last week, he doesn’t feel that it’s fair that either man lose out on the title shot.

So, he sat down with the other members of the Championship Committee and this is what they came up with . . .

Konnan and Misawa will wrestle again this Saturday night at “When Worlds Collide” in Fort Worth, and as he said, neither man technically lost . . . so BOTH the Global AND Triple Crown Championships will be on the line!

SCOTT says that it will be a Title vs. Title match?

KEVIN nods, and says that the winner will leave Will Rogers Coliseum with BOTH Championships!


Kevin Von Erich leaves the ringside area.


SCOTT is then joined by the current Global Heavyweight Champion KONNAN.

SCOTT asks for Konnan’s opinion on what we just heard.

KONNAN says that’s just fine by him. All along, he’s been saying there’s one World, there should be one World Champion. The Triple Crown Title is made up of the three most prestigious Championships in Japan, and winning that, along with his other belts, the AAA World and Global Heavyweight Titles, would put him at the top of the mountain, as the one true Heavyweight Champion of the World!


LEE MARSHALL is in the locker room area with GENERAL SKANDOR AKBAR and MITSUHARU MISAWA.

LEE asks Akbar about Von Erich’s comments.

AKBAR isn’t concerned, his oil money was well-spent on Misawa, he knows that Misawa is the superior athlete. He already controls the Global TV Title, and after “When Worlds Collide”, he will control the Global Heavyweight Title as well!

MISAWA, this time in broken english, tells Konnan that his time as Global Champion is about to come to an end.

MITSUHARU MISAWA (w/ General Skandor Akbar) v. BILLY KIDMAN – Kidman tries to get some offence going, but it’s no use, Misawa wears him down and then delivers the Tiger Driver ’91, leading to the pinfall.

Afterwards, Akbar takes the house mic from Lawrence, and says that what the fans just witnessed is a look into Konnan’s future!


LEE MARSHALL is with LOUIE SPICOLLI and TERRI.

MARSHALL talks about what happened on last week’s show, when Terri squared off with Tori Powers in a match.


The “match” has been going on for no more than two or three minutes when Louie Spicolli charges to the ring. Spicolli trips Tori as she runs the ropes, and then jumps into the ring.

Spicolli holds Tori while Terri winds up and slaps her hard across the face.

This brings the Pitbulls out to the ring!

The Tag Champs jump into the ring and quickly corner Louie Spicolli and Terri.

This is it, the Pitbulls are finally going to get their hands on Spicolli!!

Louie has other ideas . . . and pushes Terri into the arms of the Pitbulls, distracting them long enough for him to jump out of the ring!


TERRI doesn’t look impressed, but Louie just ignores her.

SPICOLLI runs down the Pitbulls, saying they had no business coming out there during the match. He says that they just wanted to try and get an unfair advantage for the match at When Worlds Collide.

LEE says, speaking of When Worlds Collide, have they selected a tag team partner?

SPICOLLI smiles, and says that they’ve found the perfect partner, someone who fears no man, someone who has no problem going toe to toe with the Pitbulls . . .

HUGH MORRUS!!

MORRUS comes out and joins Louie and Terri.

HUGH says that people say these Pitbulls are big and mean, but to him, they’re more like a couple of little Chihuahuas. They’ll bark a lot, and nip at your heels, but that’s about it. He says that at When Worlds Collide, the three of them are going to put those dogs down!

MORRUS starts laughing maniacally as he, Spicolli and Terri walk away.

LEE MARSHALL is ringside with “MR. UNPREDICTABLE” DICK SLATER.

MARSHALL says that Slater has been somewhat of a loose cannon lately.

SLATER cuts Marshall off, telling him to shut his damn mouth and listen.

SLATER goes on a rant about Konnan and Mitsuharu Misawa, and says that everyone knows HE’S the #1 contender to Konnan’s belt, not Misawa. He says that he warned everyone last week what would happen if he was not given another shot at the title.

With that, Slater jumps into the ring, and clobbers CW ANDERSON, who was waiting patiently in the ring for the start of the next match.

Slater delivers a vicious beating to poor CW, and puts the finishing touches on the assault with a brutal Brainbuster!

Security hits the ring and drags Slater away, while Anderson is checked on, and then loaded up onto a stretcher and taken to the back for medical attention.


LEE MARSHALL, still standing at ringside, says that Dick Slater has completely lost it! He says that Slater and Konnan are on a collision course, but the question is, will Konnan still be Global Champ after this Saturday night in Fort Worth, or will Slater be directing his anger at Mitsuharu Misawa?

MARSHALL then talks about the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title tournament. Last week, Juventud Guerrera advanced to the Finals with a decision over Rey Mysterio, Jr, although it could hardly be called a clean win. This week, the other Semi-Final match will take place, as the legend El Hijo Del Santo squares off with Hysteria. The winner will meet Juvy in the Finals this Saturday night at “When Worlds Collide”!


LEE is then joined at ringside by REY MYSTERIO JR. and EL HIJO DEL SANTO.

MYSTERIO is unhappy about what took place last week, and he says he wants Psychosis in the ring at When Worlds Collide! Rey says on Saturday night, it’s payback time!

SANTO talks about his match coming up tonight against Hysteria. He says that he’s going to have to have eyes in the back of his head, because Hysteria is part of that group with Juvy and Psychosis as well, and he knows they’ll try to interfere again, just like Psychosis did last week in the match with Juvy and Rey.

MYSTERIO then tells Santo that he’ll stay out at ringside for the match, to make sure that there’s no funny business!

PAN-AMERICAN CRUISERWEIGHT TOURNAMENT – SEMI FINALS:
EL HIJO DEL SANTO (w/ Rey Mysterio Jr.) v. HYSTERIA (w/ Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis) – The match starts out with Santo and Hysteria trading holds in the ring, but Mysterio ends up getting attacked on the floor by Juvy and Psychosis, and they give him a beating, until Octagon shows up to even things up!

The four men brawl on the floor, and the referee finally decides he’s had enough of that, and orders all four of them away from ringside! That means we’ve got an even playing field now, there’ll be no outside interference, and that has to work in the favour of El Hijo Del Santo.

Hysteria is no slouch, and he throws everything but the kitchen sink at Santo. There are several anxious moments for the legend, as Hysteria gets some VERY close nearfalls, but Santo is always able to kick out at the last second, or if he’s close enough, drape a leg over the bottom rope.

The tables turned when Hysteria had Santo down, he set up a chair in the ring, and went for the Triple Jump Moonsault. Santo got his knees up, catching Hysteria in the gut. Santo then took over and a minute or two later, locked Hysteria in the Camel Clutch for the submission victory.

El Hijo Del Santo moves on to face Juventud Guerrera in the tournament final for the Pan-American Cruiserweight Title!

He says that the title of the card is fitting, considering we’ll see Konnan, who represents the Mexican Lucha Libre style, squaring off with Mitsuharu Misawa, a master of the rough, hard-hitting style seen in Japan.

LEE MARSHALL is joined at ringside by Global Heavyweight Champion KONNAN!

MARSHALL says that in 5 days, Konnan has the opportunity to add the Triple Crown Championship to his collection.

KONNAN starts to talk about the match, when he’s interrupted by SKANDOR AKBAR!

KONNAN and AKBAR bicker for a moment, and Konnan doesn’t see Misawa and Bam Bam Bigelow sneak down the aisleway, and come around the ring from the other side.

BIGELOW and MISAWA blindside KONNAN!

BUT HERE COMES AHMED JOHNSON!!!

Before any real damage could be done to the Global Champion, Ahmed Johnson arrives on the scene!

Ahmed goes right at Bigelow, and after hitting him with a few stiff right hands, he rolls Bigelow into the ring.

Konnan brawls around ringside with Misawa, and ends up rolling him into the ring as well.

Inside the ring, Konnan and Ahmed get the upper hand, and from opposite corners, they whip Bigelow and Misawa into each other, and the two heels collide in the middle of the ring.

Bigelow and Misawa wisely roll out of the ring and, along with the General, they head to the locker room while Konnan and Ahmed Johnson challenge them to come back to the ring and fight!


SCOTT HUDSON says it’s pandemonium here on Global Wrestling! He reminds everyone to be at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth this Saturday night for “When Worlds Collide”!
