GWF RETRIBUTION
Opening Match: Rey Mysterio Jr. and Psychosis bring their feud to the GWF!!!! Rey comes out on top this time in this high flying explosive match up. Psychosis was aided after the show in attacking Mysterio by Hysteria. El Hijo Del Santo, the son of the legendary Santo made his GWF debut and saved Rey from any further beatdown.

The Pitt Bulls with Tori Powers defeated The Headhunters with Skandar Akbar by DQ to advance in the Tag Team Tournament and face the Freebirds in round 2. A real knock down drag out fight, The Headhunters just couldn’t put The Pitt Bulls down and finally became so angry about it that they used chairs on their opponents, drawing the DQ and the anger of their manager who threw his hands up and left for the locker room over the fact the Headhunters got themselves DQed instead of fighting for the titles.
In something of an upset, Rod Price and Louie Spicolli w/ Teri Runnels defeated Vampiro and AAA World Heavyweight Champion Konan when Spicolli pinned Konnan after hitting him with Teri’s purse and then a Death Valley Driver. Konan and Vampiro made their GWF debuts here and many Hispanic fans found their way to the Sportatorium to cheer them on. They were not happy in the slightest over the loss, Spicolli and Price will now meet The Guerreros in round 2.
Savio Vega defeats his rival Maxx Payne in an anything goes falls count anywhere classic Texas Death Match war. Payne focused early on Vega’s cut from their first blood match, and Vega’s latin blood flowed early and rapidly Payne got several falls on Vega, but Vega was able to make it to his feet each time before the 10 count. Vega almost didn’t when Payne hit Vega with a clothesline while having his Biker Chain wrapped around his arm. Somehow Vega pulled himself to his feet. Vega went on to win after choking Payne out with the Chain and pinning him. Payne was unable to answer the 10 count after the pinfall giving Vega the win. Payne pinned Vega a total of 14 times in this match to Vega’s 6 pins. Vega and Payne both have 1 win over each other now, and a draw.
INTERMISSION
Juventued Guerrera defeated the legendary El Hijo Del Santo when Psychosis and Hysteria came down to ringside. Hysteria distracted the ref while Psychosis slid a chair into the ring to Juvy who hit Santo with it from behind. Juvy tossed the chair out of the ring, dragged Santo to the corner and hit the 450 splash for the victory. Psychosis, Hysteria and Juvy put the boots to Santo until Rey and Santo’s partner Octagon made the save.
Semi Finals of the Global Tag Tournament : Rod Price and Louie Spicolli w/Terri Runnels defeats Hector and Mando Guerrero to advance to the finals of the tag team tournament. The two men fought all over the ring, the outside of the ring, and in the aisle. Von Erich had nothing to be ashamed of here, he battled Moadib for 20 minutes before falling to Akbar’s monster. Akbar jumped up and down in the ring after the match clutching the American Title.
Global Title Match: Dick Slater defeated Razor Ramon to become the new Global Champion. Ramon had Slater up for the Razor’s Edge twice, both times Slater got out of it. Slater hit a piledriver on Ramon, but Ramon kicked out, Slater hit a second piledriver and Ramon kicked out again, a third piledriver followed but Ramon barely kicked out. Slater finally finished Ramon off with a fourth piledriver, which Ramon didn’t even attempt to kick out of.
