Tony Schivone, Les Thatcher and “Bulldog” Bob Brown are at ringside and welcome the fans to another episode of the Power Drive.

They make mention of what happened last week at the conclusion of the program between Championship Committee member Stephen Petitpas and referee Mark Curtis. It was an animated discussion and we’ll be talking to Petitpas later in the program to find out what that was about.

Plus we’ll see a man that has gone on a destruction spree in the last few weeks Chris Benoit in action and a TV main Event will be a preview of Fall Destruction as we will have a big 6 man tag team action. Johnny Smith teams up with the Acadian Giant and Earthquake has they will battle Chris Candido, the Giant Warrior & Tony Halme

They immediately send us to the ring for the opening contest.

CWF Heavyweight Champion Brian Lee (With Bob Armstrong) defeats Scott D’Amore following a choke slam.

Following the match, Lee tried to deliver a pile driver, but Owen Hart comes flying out of the dressing and connects Lee with 2 drop kicks sending him over the top rope. Hart invites Lee to come back in the ring, but he wisely moves up the ramp to the dressing room, while Armstrong screams that he will be sorry.

Smith says that he’s going to do anything he can to help Canada win this challenge and get rid of Armstrong and his men.

Earthquake says that the Giant Warrior is going to feel the tremors and gonna fell the pain.

Acadian Giant says that when everything is done on September 25th Canada will rise and Smokey Mountain will fall, and that’s a promise.

Tommy Jammer defeats Chris Benoit by reverse decision, after Benoit got the pin with a reverse Pile Driver, but he then continued to attack Jammer delivering 3 more reverse pile drivers, till official and wrestlers came out to make the save.

Benoit looks at the camera and gives the cut throat motion, and has the crazy look in his eyes, has he walks to the back.

Raymond Rougeau is in the ring with Championship Committee member Stephen Petitpas

Petitpas begins by mentioning that he’s a little worried with the recent actions of Chris Benoit and promises that if he continues at this pace he will be fined and possibly suspended.

He then continues with the animated discussion he had last week with referee Mark Curtis. He mentions that he’s been noticing that Curtis doesn’t appear to be neutral and that will not continue. He has placed Curtis on probation and that if he continues on the pace that he’s in, he will be without a job.

Now also on the subject of referee’s a few months ago Bob Armstrong suspended and fired senior referee Frank Parker. Petitpas says that he reviewed the footage and everything and has determined that Parker did nothing wrong and has been reinstated has Senior Official.

Finally he mentions that the final official card of Final Destruction will be announced next week.

Fytch mentions that she is here and with her and Armstrong leading the charge team SMW will soon have full control and they will be able to leave this stupid country and return back to where it’s perfect and that’s in the USA.

Candido tells Smith, Acadian Giant and Earthquake to pack their bags and move cause they are going to go down.

Chris Candido, Giant Warrior and Tony Halme (With Tammy Fytch) defeats Johnny Smith, Acadian Giant & Earthquake, when Candido pinned Smith after hitting him with Tammy Fytch purse, knocking him out.

Following the match, Halme, Warrior and Candido used chairs to attempt and destroy Earthquake, Giant and Smith, till Owen Hart, Rick Martel, Young Gunns & Leo Burke came charging from the back to make the save.

The show goes off air with Candido, Warrior, Halme and Fytch in the aisle laughing at the carnage they just caused.

Schivone, Brown and Thatcher welcomes the fans to final Power Drive before Sunday’s PPV “Fall Destruction” They mention that later they will have the entire Card for this Sunday’s PPV.

They make mention that on today’s program they mention Chris Benoit will be in action and that this could be trouble for his opponent.

Plus the TV Main Event will feature Well Dunn battling the Young Gunns in possibly a Preview of Fall Destruction.

They send us to the ring for the opening contest.

Anthony starts off by saying that he knows that team CWF doesn’t trust them, but team CWF is who came to their help when Armstrong and his goons put their hands on Kimberley and he promises to Burke and Hart that they will defend the honor of CWF, cause when they were down CWF stood up for them.

Burke thanks Anthony and Smothers for their devotion to team CWF and come Sunday night they are not going to go down without a fight. They will fight to the end and that end will be with a victory not just for themselves, but also for the great fans of Canada.

Hart mentions that he knows that he’s got the biggest opportunity of his career this Sunday and promises to give it is all and leave nothing in the ring, and hopefully bring home the CWF Title.

They go through the Point System for the Team Challenge series.

There will be a total of 7 matches, and 1 Battle Royal. Point system has been determined and is as followes

1) 2 Points for a win by pinfall or submission.
2) 5 points for a title win.
3) 1 Point for a DQ and -2 points for a DQ Lost.
4) 1 point per team for each elimination in the Battle Royal & 5 Points to the winning team.

Remaining in the ring at this time is the Acadian Giant against Robert Gibson, Brian Lee, Chris Candido and Tony Halme.

The Giant does is best fighting off all 4 men and manages to clothesline both Robert Gibson and Chris Candido over the top rope. Tony Halme charges in and begins brawling with the Giant, while Brian Lee stays back and watches, with both Halme and Giant at the ropes, trying to gain leverage. Lee moves in and goes to eliminate the Acadian Giant, but accidently takes out both men, Halme hits the floor first, then the Gianat.

Lee is the sole survivor of the Battle Royal Challenge.

Winner: “Prime Time” Brian Lee.

Schivone and Thatcher await confirmation from referee Danny Marsh who indicates that a point is awarded to team CWF as Halme hit the floor first.

Rick Martel defeats Giant Warrior by DQ, when Giant Warrior shoved referee Mark Curtis multiple times forcing Curtis to disqualify him. Warrior was strangling Martel in the corner and Curtis tried to make him break the choke.

Following the match Bob Armstrong came to ringside and started arguing with Mark Curtis telling him that he might of cost them victory Curtis told Armstrong to go to hell, and walked to the back.

SMW Tag Team Champions Rock & Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) defeats Canadian Tag Team Champions THuGS (Tracy Smothers & Tony Anthony) to win and unify the titles. When Morton pinned Anthony after hitting him with the championship belt.

Schivone and Thatcher mentions that this might be the defining blow in the Team Challenge. Team SMW has taken a 22 to 16 lead. The only hope team CWF has remaining is on the shoulders of Owen Hart. He must win the CWF Title, if he does not win the CWF title, the Canadian Wrestling Federation will be no more.

CWF Unified Heavyweight Title

”Prime Time” Brian Lee Vs. Owen Hart

This is a back and forth match in the early going with both men exchanging control. Hart used his speed and agility to keep the big man off balance early, but once Lee caught him he controlled the match using his size and strength to weaken Hart.

Lee focused his attack on the left leg of Hart and does everything he can to ground and slow down Hart. He does a very good job at it, but he’s unable to put Hart away. Hart manages to mount a comeback and get several near falls, but Lee manages to survive.

With the action approaching the 20 minute mark Hart makes a big mistake when he attempted a flying cross body block from the top rope but Lee caught him and power slammed him down to the canvas

Hart gets a shoulder up.

Lee sensing that Hart is done, he sets him up for a Power Bomb, but Hart manages to punch his way out and land on top of Lee

At this time Chris Candido makes his way out from the back and his now at ringside. Hart manages to avoid a big boot from Lee and hit the ropes, where Candido trips him. Referee Mark Curtis could of disqualified Lee, giving the victory to team SMW, but he didn’t he warned Candido, and the match continued.

Lee picks up Owen whips him hard into the turnbuckle, and charges, but Hart moves out and Lee hits the corner hard. Hart with a back roll up

Lee kicks out. Hart gets up and backs to the ropes, where Candido jumps on the apron and grabs Hart. He’s holding Hart, as Lee gets to his feet and charges towards Hart, but Hart moves out at the last minute, Lee hits Candido stunning him, has Hart gets another back roll up on Lee.

Hart has done it. Hart has won the CWF Unify title. Team CWF has won the Team Challenge 23-22 and Canadian Wrestling survives.

Tony Schivone and Les Thatcher welcomes us to the Canadian Wrestling Federation Power Drive. They make quick mention of what happened at the PPV and that Team CWF won it all, thanks to the new Canadian Heavyweight Champion Owen Hart.

They Immediately send us to Raymond Rougeau who is in the ring.

Raymond Rougeau welcomes the NEW Canadian Heavyweight Champion Owen Hart.

Hart comes out to a thunderous roar

Hart mentions that he went into the match, not thinking about what was at stake, but on getting the victory and bringing the title home. He’s very happy in being the Canadian Champion and that now it will be just has hard to hold on to the title.

This brings out Chris Benoit from the back with a microphone.

Benoit stands in the aisle and tells Hart that he was lucky to even make it at Fall Destructions, cause in a blink of an eye he could of been a victim. Benoit continues that he was insulted when nobody contacted him to be part of their team, but that is fine, because now he will be sending a message to him. Pointing at Hart .

Benoit mentions that when they were a Tag Team he carried Hart and made them the best, but obviously since Hart’s Daddy is a well known “Jerk”, Owen get’s all the favouritism in the world, and that will now change.

Benoit charges the ring and both men begins fighting, With Hart taking the advantage a little bit, Benoit pulls out some Brass Knuckles and knocks out Hart.

Benoit climbs on Hart and begins pounding him in the head with the Knucks busting Hart wide open.

Finally, Rick Martel, Mike Lanzansky and Chi Chi Cruz comes charging from the back to make the safe. Benoit exits the ring looks at them with a dirty grin and walks to the dressing room showing no remorse.

Burke begins by thanking the entire Canadian Country for the support and encouragement during those last 4 months has they battled Bob Armstrong and his men.

Burke mentions that even though they won the challenge that members of Team Smokey Mountain Wrestling are more than welcome to stay with the CWF has they moved forward.

Burke now makes mentions of the attack by Chris Benoit earlier in the show. He says that he doesn’t know why Benoit had gone this Route, but one thing is for certain, Benoit will have to follow the rules or he will be disciplined.
