June Recap


The month of June began with Leo Burke introducing Team CWF for the big All or Nothing 10 Man Elimination match for control of the CWF. Team CWF is comprised of Leo Burke, Canadian Heavyweight Champion Rick Martel, Chris Benoit, Owen Hart and the “Acadian Giant” Robert Maillet.

Team Smokey Mountain did not appear to be worried as they continued to try and take early control, with an well orchestrated attack on the Acadian Giant. All 5 members of team Smokey Mountain attack Maillet and tried to break is leg, but they were unable too, as team CWF made the safe. Maillet did have a limp for the remaining week 2 weeks before the All or Nothing PPV.

Canadian Heavyweight Champion Rick Martel and Smokey Mountain Heavyweight Champion Brian Lee have been having a war of words lately, in which it appears that these 2 men are on a collision course .

The team of the Young Gunns, Mike Lazansky and Chi Chi Cruz continued to look good as they prepare for their Canadian Tag Team Title match against the ThUGS, Tracey Smothers and Tony Anthony. Lazansky got a pinfall victory of Smothers, as Cruz got a count out win over Smothers.

The Giant Warrior and Earthquake continued their war as they brawled all over the CWF with neither man getting a clear advantage.

Johnny Smith continues to impress and has specifically stated that he will help the CWF in any way that he can, cause he got his start in Calgary and will do what it takes to help out the CWF.

Stay tune for the CWF All or Nothing PPV on July 1st, where at the end of the evening, will the CWF still remain.
