So let me tell you a little story.
When I took over the WWF I wanted to catch it up by posting each show, but there was no way that was going to actually work. With my kids growing up and needing more of my time, the way I was writing shows just wasn't going to work on a full time basis anymore. After talking to some people they helped me come up with a new format to keep me on time and help me catch up really quickly. Thanks to everyone who helped me put this format together, and thanks to all of you for putting up with me trying to get the WWF on time.
This is part 1 of the catch up, part 2, which goes from 2/27-3/26 and Wrestlemania was finished this afternoon, but my daughter overwrote the save. I finished it up, and decided I would reread it after I mowed the grass and went for my run, my mom was watching the kids, but I guess my daughter got into my bedroom where I had left the file open, and she somehow erased it, wrote her name, her brothers name, phone number and address over and over again, then saved it over the original file. Now I am very proud that my 4 year old daughter can type all that, and that her preschool has taught her to save a word document, but I am not so happy that all the work I did is now lost to the ether.
Luckily I had part 1 and Wrestlemania saved on separate files, so I can put this up, and then tomorrow redo what happened in between fairly easily, and get Wrestlemania up at the same time. I hope you will enjoy this:
MONDAY NIGHT RAW!
2/6/96
Your hosts are Vince and The Brain!
We start the show off HOT as Intercontinental Champion “Stone Cold” Steve Austin once again met Hulk Hogan in a match. Hogan and Austin really tore into each other for 20 minutes until Hogan reversed an Irish Whip that sent Austin colliding with referee Tim White in the corner. Austin hits a Stunner out of nowhere and went for the cover, but had no referee to make the count! Austin had Hogan down for a good 5 count! Austin tried to wake Tim White up, but White kept collapsing, Austin thought he had White up, went and made the cover again, had Hogan pinned for another five count, but White just couldn’t crawl over to make the count. Austin sprung up, shaking his head and yelling. He helped White to his feet, patted him on the back, AND THEN GAVE WHITE A STONE COLD STUNNER!!!!! Austin was bad mouthing White on the mat as Hogan got to his feet. Austin charged Hogan and ate a Big Boot!!! Hogan hit the ropes and dropped the big leg drop!!!! Hogan then made a cover and had Austin down for a five count, but White was still out of it!!! Referee Jimmy Cordaris sprinted out of the back and slid into the ring, but instead of making the count, HE WENT TO CHECK ON TIM WHITE??!?!?!? Hogan jumped up and pulled Cordaris away, Hogan told Cordaris to come make the count and went and covered Austin again, but Cordaris kept checking on Tim White!!! Hogan was really pissed now, he grabbed Cordaris by the shirt and was shaking him, yelling at him about making the count!!! Hogan threw Cordaris across the ring like a ragdoll!!!!! Now Cordaris was out cold!!!! Austin got back to his feet and he and Hogan started to brawl again when referee Earl Hebner ran into the ring, he checked on White, he checked on Cordaris and then called for the bell!!! Hebner disqualified both men for striking officials!!!! Austin and Hogan kept fighting and the locker room had to be cleared out to pull the men apart!!!!
A recap video was shown of last week’s Yokozuna vs. Davey Boy Smith match for the European Title and the return of the Undertaker. Jim Ross interviewed Yokozuna and The Headshrinkers about tonight’s match with Undertaker, Davey Boy and Bret Hart. Yokozuna claimed that they would take all three out tonight, and that they would finish the job they started on the Undertaker two weeks ago!
The tag team of Marty Jannetty and Bob Holly, collectively known as the Showstoppers met the team of “The Model” Rick Martel and Hunter Hearst Helmsely. Martel and HHH have been teaming off and on as of late, and have looked good in the process. The Showstoppers on the other hand have been anything but on the same page. Miscues galore between the two, most of the miscommunication seems to be from Jannetty, who was pinned after tagging himself in when Holly had HHH on the ropes. Marty’s cockiness led to him eating a Pedigree and getting pinned. After the match Holly tried to help his partner up and Jannetty once again pushed Holly down. Jannetty screamed at Holly claiming it was all Holly’s fault.
“Wildman” Marc Mero defeated Kwang with a Shooting Star Press, during the match Vince and Bobby talked with The Honky Tonk Man about Marc Mero’s challenge for SNME and saying he would wrestle in any match Honky wanted. Honky said he thought long and hard about the match and decided that if Mero really wants to wrestle him, well then Mero’s gonna have to wrestle in a match against the Roadie first. If Mero beats the Roadie then he’ll get his match with Honky.
The team that will be facing the WWF Tag Team Champions at SNME, former Champions Men on a Mission battled the Blu Brothers in the next match up. A back and forth brawl, during the match the Tag Champions The Smoking Gunns joined Heenan and McMahon on commentary. The giant twins used the old switcheroo trick, and it almost worked to give them the win, but Mabel was able to battle back and seal the deal with a big splash on Eli to get the three count. M.O.M didn’t get a chance to celebrate however, as the Gunns were quickly beating them down. The Blu Brothers recovered soon enough to turn it into a 4 on 2 beat down, luckily The Godwinn Cousins ran down to the ring to make the save!!! The Godwinns and Men on A Mission were finally able to clear the ring of the Gunns and the Blu Brothers.
“Psycho” Sid Vicious defeats Duke “The Dumpster” Drose with a powerbomb in a match that was really just a time filler. Vince and Heenan used the match to talk about what happened at the start of the show when Vicious’ partner in crime Steve Austin battled Hulk Hogan. Vince reveals that Shane McMahon had Austin and Hogan escorted out of the building by the police!
Jim Ross talks to Marc Mero backstage about Honky Tonk Man’s challenge and Mero accepts it. He says it’ll be a pleasure to beat up The Roadie before getting his hands on Honky. Ross asks Mero if he is worried about wrestling twice in once night and Mero says no, besides when he gets his hands on Honky, he won’t be wrestling, he’ll be dishing out a beatdown!
WWF Champion Big Van Vader defeats former WWF Champion Bob Backlund with a Vadersault, during the match Vince talks to another former Champion and the man who will challenge Vader at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Lex Luger. Lex says that Vader is a monster, but Luger has been training even harder after losing the title, he knows Vader has a weakness and he is going to find and exploit it at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Jim Ross is backstage with The Undertaker and Paul Bearer, a quick promo from the two of them about the six man match later tonight. Taker says that Yokozuna has dared to spit in the eye of the Reaper and he will suffer greatly for it!!!
Vince McMahon is in the ring with third generation superstar Rocky Maivia, and WWF Legend Chief Jay Strongbow. Jay has a box in his hand, Jay talks about his past in the WWF and his friendship with Rocky’s grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia. Strongbow pulls a headdress out of the box, Jay says that it belonged to The High Chief, and Peter gave it to Jay shortly before he died as a token of their friendship. Jay says Peter would have been very proud of Rocky, and gives the headdress to Rocky saying that it’s what his grandfather would have wanted. Rocky is very thankful and a bit choked up. He starts to talk about his family when TATANKA?!?!?!? Comes out to the ring. Tatanka isn’t pleased, he says he has defeated The Undertaker and the Big Bossman, two weeks in a row, but he isn’t getting a special interview, he doesn’t have time tonight. Tatanka says Strongbow used to always talk to him, used to always give him bad advice, but now Strongbow won’t look him in the eye. Strongbow says Tatanka has changed and he doesn’t want anything to do with him anymore, Strongbow says Tatanka will get what he deserves soon enough. Tatanka grabs Strongbow and starts screaming at him, asking him what exactly is it that he deserves? Rocky grabs Tatanka and pulls him off Strongbow and the two start brawling!!!! Rocky gets the best of things to start, but Tatanka ends up planting Rocky center ring with the End of the Trail Slam!!!!! Tatanka picks up Maivia’s headdress!!!! Strongbow tries to attack Tatanka but gets shoved down hard!!!! Vince checks on Strongbow as Tatanka RIPS PETER MAIVIA’S HEADDRESS APART!!!! Tatanka throws the pieces on the mat next to Rocky!!!!
After a commercial break an irate Vince McMahon is back at ringside with Bobby Heenan, he can’t believe what just happened. He shows a replay of Tatanka ripping up the headdress and the reaction from Rocky during the commercial break.
Jim Ross is backstage with European Champion Davey Boy Smith and the man who will challenge for the WWF Title at Wrestlemania, Bret Hart. They talk about the upcoming six man match. Bret says he has unfinished business with Yokozuna dating back to Yoko stealing the WWF Title from him back at Wrestlemania IX. Hart says tonight Yokozuna and The Headshrinkers will be Excellently Executed!!
In the big six man tag team main event The Undertaker joined forces with the brother in law duo of Bret “The Hitman” Hart and European Champion Davey Boy Smith! A out of control match, Bret played your face in peril for a good portion of the match with the Headshrinkers and Yokozuna working him over for good measure, but Bret got his knees up for a big splash by Samu and was able to make the hot tag to The Undertaker who cleaned house!!! Davey Boy also soon jumped into the ring and everything went crazy!! Meanwhile, Samu snatches the urn from Paul Bearer and once again bashes Undertaker in the head with it, setting up a Belly to Belly Suplex by Yokozuna. The referee didn’t see the Urn shot, and turns around just in time to see Yoko make the cover, three slaps of the mat later and the trio of Yokozuna and The Headshrinkers are taking home the win here tonight.
Vince and Heenan close up the show with some SNME hype, and plug next week’s Raw which will see a Battle Royal to decide who will face Davey Boy Smith for the European Title at Saturday Night’s Main Event, as well as an announcement from Shane McMahon about Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan’s ongoing war, plus an in ring interview with former WWF Champion Lex Lugar and a big eight man battle as the Godwinns and Men on a Mission join forces to take on The Blu Brothers and WWF Tag Team Champions The Smoking Gunns!
MONDAY NIGHT RAW!
2/13/95
Your hosts are Vince and The Brian, they quickly recap what happened on the show last week and show footage of the main event where Samu bashed Taker in the head with the Urn, tonight Taker and Samu meet one on one, they reveal that at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Undertaker and Yokozuna will collide, plus tonight Vince talks to Lex Lugar, Shane McMahon has an announcement in regards to the Hogan-Austin war, speaking of Austin, he will defend the Intercontinental Title against The Big Bossman, and a Battle Royal to decide who will face Davey Boy Smith for the European Title at Saturday Night’s Main Event!
The Undertaker meets Samu as our first match, Fatu and Yokozuna accompany Samu and get a couple of shots in on Taker, until Bret Hart and European Champion Davey Boy Smith come down to ringside as we head to a commercial break. Bulldog and The Hitman keep Yoko and Fatu in check, Samu gets some offense in but Taker makes a comeback, after the big rope walk and chokeslam he finishes Samu with a Tombstone and that’s all she wrote for the former WWF Tag Team Champion. After the match, the lights go out, and when they come back on, both Samu and The Undertaker are gone!!!!
Jim Ross talks to Intercontinental Champion Steve Austin in the back, Austin doesn’t care what announcement Shane McMahon has regarding him and Hogan, Austin says tonight he is going to stomp a mudhole in The Bossman and walk it dry, Austin says he knows Bossman and Hogan are buddies, but he warns Hogan not to stick his nose in Austin’s business here tonight.
Slam of the Night: Tatanka ripping up Peter Maivia’s headdress last week.
The ring is filling up for the Battle Royal next, Salvatore Sincere, Rick Martel, Tatanka, Hunter Hearst Helmsely, and Sid Vicious represent the heels while Rocky Maivia, Bob Backlud, Marty Jannetty, Bob Holly, and Ahmed Johnson represent the faces. To no one’s surprise Rocky goes right after Tatanka over what happened last week, the ring is total chaos for a while until Bob Holly eliminates Salvatore Sincere, then in a bit of a shocker Marty Jannetty drop kicks his own tag team partner from behind eliminating him!!!! Holly doesn’t seem pleased by it but Jannetty yells down to him, “it’s only business brother!” everything slows down for a commercial break. Back from the break and Rick Martel and Hunter Hearst Helmsely are working over Jannetty, which leads to Vince quipping that he bets Jannetty wishes Holly was still in the match. Rocky Maivia eliminates Tatanka with a big clothesline, but he isn’t done, climbing the top rope and brining an ax handle down on Tatanka on the floor, eliminating himself. Things are nuts as Maivia is out of blood!!! Bob Backlund tries to help Jannety but gets to him too late as Martel and HHH dump him. They begin to double team Backlund in the corner, while center ring, Ahmed Johnson and Sid Vicious are going at it. The two have their own mini match, that ends up with Ahmed eliminating Sid just like he did at the Royal Rumble. Sid goes insane and tries to get back in the ring, but officials are grabbing onto him, Ahmed’s back is turned and he is telling Sid to come on. That turns out to be a mistake as he turns right into a double clothesline from Martel and HHH that eliminates him as well!!!! Martel and HHH are left with Bob Backlund in the ring. Backlund looks a little worried as the two heels plot strategy and we head to another commercial break. Back from the break and Backlund is trying to fight off Martel and HHH!!! Things look bleak for the former WWF Champion, so much so Vince and Heenan start wondering how Martel and HHH are going to decide who gets to win the match. Just when it looks like Backlund is out of it, he break away from Martel who is holding him for HHH. HHH nails Martel with a leaping knee that sends Martel out of the ring!!! HHH Grabs his head in shock over what he just did and Backlund quickly capitalizes throwing HHH out of the ring from behind!!! Backlund has done it!!! Backlund will get a shot at The Bulldog at SNME!!!!!
Vince McMahon brings out the former WWF Champion and the man who will challenge Big Van Vader for the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Lex Luger along with Miss Elizabeth to kick off hour #2!!! Lex talks about regaining the WWF Title, and how he was already pretty beat down when he met Vader at the Royal Rumble, coming off brutal title defenses like the Towel Match vs. Austin at Survivor Series and the Street Fight with Tatanka at Saturday Night’s Main Event, not to mention the grueling schedule of being a Champion. Luger says he is all rested up and ready for Vader, Luger starts to talk about Bret Hart, who will get a WWF Title match at Wrestlemania when WWF Champion Vader comes out. Vader bad mouth Luger, calling him weak, saying all Luger does is make excuses. Vader asks Liz if Luger makes excuses when he can’t perform in other ways!!! Luger doesn’t like that and attacks Vader!!! Luger and Vader trade blows while Vince and Liz take a powder!!!! Vader looks like he has the upper hand, but Luger ducks a clothesline and nails Vader with the running forearm!!!! Luger then does what many thought impossible and gets the dazed Vader up IN THE TORTURE RACK!!!! Luger drops Vader, grabs the WWF Title off the mat and hold it in the air as we go to a commercial break!!!
Next up the high flying Hakushi meets jobber Tony Devito, the match has Hakushi showing off what he can do while Vince and Heenan talk about how Luger got Vader up in the Torture Rack, and shows a cut screen of backstage, and a pissed off Vader destroying his locker room!!! Hakushi gets the win on Devito with a Moonsault.
Jim Ross is with Hulk Hogan and The Big Bossman, Hogan gives Bossman his word he won’t do anything to ruin Bossman’s shot at the Intercontiental Title and tells Bossman to give Austin some shots for him. Bossman says tonight he becomes the Intercontinental Champion.
The Roadie Jesse James Armstrong meets Duke “The Dumpster” Drose in the next contest. Honky Tonk Man joins the commentary team and talks about how great The Roadie is and how easy it is going to be for the Roadie to beat Mero, and how Honky doesn’t even have to worry about facing Mero at Saturday Night’s Main Event. They do a split screen deal with Mero who starts arguing with Honky, so much so Mero says he is coming out to shut Honky up right now. Mero ends up coming down to ringside, and continues the argument at the commentators table. Vince is trying to beg both men to cut it out. In the ring The Roadie hits a pump handle slam for the win. Honky slaps Mero across the face!!! Mero grabs Honky and is about to plaster him when Roadie grabs Mero and spins him around!!!! Mero lays The Roadie out cold with “The Kiss that don’t Miss” right hand!!!!! But as Mero turns his attentions back to Honky he gets nailed once again with a Guitar shot that knocks the Wildman out!!!!
The WWF Tag Team Champions, The Smoking Gunns, team up with The Blu Brothers for our next bout to meet the team that they will face at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Men on a Mission, and The Godwinns. The Gunns try to make the Blu Brothers do all the work, they really aren’t that interested in getting in the ring at all. Finally the Gunns do get in the ring when it looks like Mo isn’t going to be able to fight back, they work Mo over pretty well, but can’t seem to put him away. Bart ends up getting too cocky and it leads to Mabel getting the hot tag, after a giant dust up with all eight men in the ring, Mabel hits a big splash on Bart and gets the three count and the win for his team. Vince says if Mabel can do that at Saturday Night’s Main Event, then Men on a Mission will walk away with the WWF Tag Team Champions a second time!!!
In the main event, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin successfully defended his Intercontiental Title in a hot match against The Big Bossman. Hogan stayed true to his word and did not come down to the ring. The match was more of a brawl than a wrestling match, with the two men fighting all over the ringside area. Bossman came thisclose to winning the title, but Austin somehow got his foot on the bottom rope after a Bossman Slam. That frustrated Bossman and eventually led to Austin hitting the Stunner out of nowhere to get the win. Hogan came down to check on his friend afterward. Austin held up the Intercontinental Belt and yelled at Hogan, Austin flipped Hogan off and spit at him!!! That was more than Hogan could take and Hogan jumped into the ring at Austin!!! The two started to brawl once again!!! The locker room completely cleared of officials, referees, and wrestlers!!!!! Shane McMahon, microphone in hand finally came down and ordered that Hogan and Austin will meet each other at Saturday Night’s Main Event in the Falls Count Anywhere match they were supposed to have several weeks ago!!!
MONDAY NIGHT RAW!
2/20/95
Vince and The Brain are your hosts.
We go straight into the action these week, wasting no time as we hear the glass shattering signaling Intercontinental Champion Steve Austin is coming, along with “Psycho” Sid Vicious, they face the team of Hulk Hogan and Ahmed Johnson! Vince reveals that after last week, Ahmed vs. Sid has been added to Saturday Night’s Main Event. Hot match that goes through a commercial break, Hogan and Austin just keep trying to tear into each other. Match ends up settling nothing as it goes to a no contest with all four men fighting on the floor.
Next up is supposed to be Barry Horowitz meeting Salvatore Sincere, but WWF Champion Big Van Vader doesn’t want to see that match as he comes down to ringside and just destroys both men. Both end up getting powerbombed out of their boots. Vader then wants a microphone. He calls out Lex Luger and says everywhere he has gone in the last week, all he has heard about is how Luger got him in the Torture Rack, Vader says that isn’t going to happen at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and Luger made the biggest mistake of his life. Vader says at Saturday Night’s Main Event he is going to crush Luger.
Bob Backlund, who won a shot at the European Title by winning a battle royal last week, meets Rad Radford this week, European Champion Davey Boy Smith is at ringside watching the match, Backlund wins with a crossface chicken wing, after the match he shakes hands with Davey Boy.

Meanwhile, backstage Jim Ross is with Lex Luger and Miss Elizabeth, Luger isn’t worried, he is going into Saturday Night’s Main Event, and he is going to regain his WWF Title and head to Wrestlemania to defend against Bret Hart. Speaking of The Hitman, he just happens to be passing by. Hart wishes Luger luck at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Luger wishes Bret luck later tonight when he meets Yokozuna. Bret and Luger shake hands.
Slam of the Night: Last week Marty Jannetty dropkicks his partner out of the Battle Royal, and then is eliminated himself by Rick Martel and Hunter Hearst Helmsley.
In a rematch from a couple of weeks ago, The Showstoppers, Marty Jannetty and Bob Holly once again meet the team of Rick Martel and Hunter Hearst Helmsely, and once again lose the match, but this time it’s because Marty Jannetty drops off the apron and refuses to tag his partner!!!! Jannetty abandons Holly and leaves for the back, Holly tries to fight both men off but he can’t do it and gives up after being locked in and trying to fight the Quebec Crab for several minutes. Jim Ross tries to grab a word with Marty in the back and asks why he abandoned his partner, Marty says he was tired of carrying Holly, he always ends up carrying worthless partners and he is tired of it, Marty says he is only looking out of himself and that the sky is the limit for the Midnight Rocker!
Lex Luger is out next with Miss Elizabeth to meet The Brooklyn Brawler in a total squash match. Luger gets The Brawler to submit to the Torture Rack in less than a minute. Vader then appears and tries to attack Luger from behind a brawl breaks out between the two and Vader stuffs Luger in the center of the ring with a Powerbomb. Vader then starts to stalk Miss Elizabeth, Liz is backing away, Vince leaves his seat and tries to reason with Vader but Vader shoves him away!!!! Finally Luger is able to get to his feet, grab a chair and waffle Vader with it from behind!!!!! Vader grabs the chair away from Luger and tosses it away, the two start choking each other as officials and referees run down to break it up!!!
Vince is no longer at ringside, being replaced by Gorilla Monsoon after taking a pretty bad tumble when Vader threw him aside. They send it to Jim Ross who is backstage with Hulk Hogan, Hogan says Liz is a good friend of his and Vader better keep his hands off of her. He then talks about the match this Saturday with Steve Austin, Falls Count Anywhere!!! Hogan cuts a typical Hogan promo and says he will join the Triple Crown Club when he wins the Intercontinental Title!!
Honky Tonk Man is in the ring with the Roadie and wants to show everyone his new greatest hits video, it’s shot after shot of him blasting Marc Mero with a guitar. Honky says he wishes he’d get the chance to do it again on Saturday, but there ain’t no way The Roadie is gonna lose to Mero. Honky and The Roadie battle Marc Mero and the man Roadie beat last week, Duke “The Dumpster” Drose, much to Honky’s dismay, Mero gets the win for his team when he hits a Shooting Star Press on Roadie for the three count, Honky doesn’t look a bit happy and looks quite scared as the realization that if that happens on Saturday he is going to have to face Mero one on one!!!
Jim Ross is backstage with Rocky Maivia and WWF Legend Chief Jay Strongbow, Strogbow is so sorry for what happened to Peter Maivia’s Headdress. Rocky tells Strongbow that it wasn’t his fault, and asks Strongbow to be in his corner on Saturday when he faces Tatanka. Rocky says that what Tatanka did didn’t just hurt him, it hurt Rocky’s whole family and Rocky says he is going to make Tatanka pay!!!!
½ of the WWF Tag Team Champions Bart Gunn meets one of the men who they will be facing at Saturday Night’s Main Event and the man who pinned him last week, Mabel in our next match up. Both Billy Gunn and Mo are at ringside, and both try and get involved several times. The Gunns try to steal the win as Billy tries to throw Bart his boot to hit Mabel with it, but Mabel takes the boot away and blast Bart with it!!! Regretablly the referee turns around just in time to see Mabel with the boot and DQ’s Mabel. The Smoking Gunns run away with their tail between their legs as Mabel yells that they are taking the belts on Saturday.
In the Main Event, Bret “The Hitman” Hart meets the man who ended his WWF Title reign back at Wrestlemania XI, Yokozuna. Yoko is accompined by Fatu, and Gorilla wonders what happened to Samu after Taker vanished with him last week! Bret tries to beat Yoko down by moving fast, but Yoko uses his weight against Bret and settles the match down. Yokozuna beats on Bret, and it looks bad for a while, but finally Bret is able to fight back!!! Bret is in the middle of a the big babyface comeback when Fatu trips him up and Yokozuna drops the big legdrop on the back of Bret’s head!!! Yokozuna is unable to even attempt the cover though as the lights go out in the building. Strange chants can be heard as The Druids roll a casket down to the ring. They leave the casket and Yokozuna is freaked out, he tells Fatu to open it, and when he does they find Samu INSIDE THE CASKET!!!! Fatu freaks out and runs away. Yokozuna is also freaking out and backs right into a roll up by Bret Hart!!! Bret hangs on to get the three count and the win, with an assist obviously to the Druids!!! Yokozuna doesn’t waste any time getting out of the ring and making a run for it!!! Bret is celebrating in the ring as the show goes black!!
