An INSTRUMENTAL VERSION OF Rage’s “Killing in the name off…” opens the broadcast

Tony, Terry, and The Dream open up the broadcast, recapping the return to WCW of JJ Dillon, who this past Saturday Night announced tonight’s HUGE main event. Ric Flair vs. Roddy Piper vs. Curt Hennig, with a World Heavyweight Championship match hanging in the balance. But that’s not all fans, if you missed WCW Saturday Night, we have brand new International Tag Team Champions, as THE STEINER BROTHERS defeated Demolition and now, finally, get an opportunity for revenge on the World Tag Team Champions at Halloween Havoc. Terry says that the Steiner’s better have eyes in the back of their heads because Harlem Heat is none too pleased about being barred from the building Saturday. Let’s go to the ring!





MATCH ONE

Harlem Heat w/Sister Sherri defeated Jim Powers and Lenny Lane by pinfall after Booker T. landed the “Harlem Hangover” flipping top rope leg drop on Lane.

Bob Caudle is at the interview desk with WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION RICKY STEAMBOAT, and they talk about the outstanding match Steamboat had with Rick Martel on Saturday Night, only to have, well lets just show the footage...

BIG BUBBA ROGERS came down to ringside and was staring a hole through the Dragon. Steamboat, with a smile on his face hoped out of the ring and went over to Bubba attempting to shake his hand, but Bubba just laughed at Steamboat and yelled “Don’t touch me punk! We ain’t friends, we never been friends!” AND BUBBA BLASTS STEAMBOAT IN THE MOUTH!!! Steamboat and Rogers are hooking it up right here at Center Stage, wrestlers and security come out and break up the brawl…….

The Dragon says, “Bob I have known Big Bubba for a long, long time. We have wrestled in many promotions together, and I would dare say we were friends, so if it’s not too much to ask, Bubba, I want you to come out here and face me, like a man!”

Steamboat doesn’t have to ask twice, as BIG BUBBA ROGERS makes his way out. Mr. Caudle asks that these two men remember this is only an interview. The Dragon goes to say something but is cut off by Rogers. “Boy let me tell you something, you may think you know me, but you have no idea. I ain’t some cartoon character that I pretended to be for some good paydays. The only thing you actually know about me is that I am a Boss, man. Since the time I was 13 years old, grown men have been calling me Bubba, you know why? Cause I told em to boy! This is the last time I’m gonna say this, I AM NOT A STINKIN CARTOON CHARACTER, YOU UNDERSTAND ME?! And I want that!”


Bubba points at the World Television Title, Steamboat looks at his belt, holds it tight, “Bubba I never once believed you were a joke. I always knew that you were a rough, rugged competitor. I would have never underestimated you, but all you had to do was ask. I know JJ is in the building tonight, if the Championship Committee….”


Bubba interrupts, “Just like I thought, you are yella Steamboat. Hiding behind the Championship Committee. Big Bubba Rogers don’t need no permission to do any damn thing he wants, and right now I want your belt!” AND BUBBA NAILS STEAMBOAT! STEAMBOAT FIGHTS BACK! Bob Caudle barely gets out of the way, these two have squared off again! The camera quickly goes to the announce desk as security and wrestlers try to break up the fight.



“Ya know somethin’ Tone, I have gone to battle with Ricky Steamboat at my side, and I have done battle with Big Bubba Wogers more times than I care to remember, and if Bubba feels like he is going to intimidate the Dragon he is mistaken,” says Dusty. Taylor chimes in, “that’s only because Steamboat has more guts than brains, and if he wants to hold on to that World Television Championship he better pray JJ Dillon names someone, anyone besides Big Bubba Rogers the #1 Contender.”







MATCH TWO

Hugh Morrus w/”Gamesmaster” Kevin Sullivan defeated Diamond Dallas Page w/Kimberly by count-out. This was an exciting back and forth contest between two of WCW’s brightest stars on the horizon. This was a huge match in terms of title positioning and both guys wrestled like their boots were on fire. Neither man was able to sustain an offensive advantage for very long, but both guys hit their trademark moves. It looked as though DDP had the contest in hand when Morrus missed the “No Laughing Matter” moonsault, Page was in a neutral corner calling for the Diamond Cutter, waiting for the laughing man to get to his feet.....



WHEN SUDDENLY MR. WONDERFUL APPEARED AT RINGSIDE!!!! And was harassing Kimberly! Page immediately went to her rescue and began battling with Orndorff at ringside, into the crowd, up the stairs, and out of camera shot. Resulting in his count-out.




But that is not the story here, with Page battling Orndorff KIMBERLY IS ALL ALONE WITH SULLIVAN AND MORRUS!!!!!


Tony and The Dream are yelling for help from the back, but it doesn’t come soon enough as Sullivan lifts Kimberly over his shoulder, and takes her down the ramp and out of the arena!

We return to see Bob Caudle desperately trying to catch up with Diamond Dallas Page, “KIMBERLY!!! SULLIVAN!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!

Suddenly in the parking long, Sullivan is standing next to a care, “Page I told you that the wrestling business was no place to bring your woman, BWHAHAHAHA!”

“Why you son  ofa bi……” MR. WONDERFUL JUMPS PAGE AGAIN!! Sullivan has abducted Kimberly and now Wonderful, Meng, and Mortis are assaulting Diamond Dallas, FINALLY HERE COMES STING AND THE STEINER BROTHERS!!!!!




Tony, Terry, and The Dream are in shock, and apologize to anyone offended by the actions of The Gamesmaster. Dusty says, “Kebin Sulliban has always been the master of the mind games, but he has crossed the line here tonight, and he and Mr. Wonderful will have HELL to pay when Diamond Dallas gets back to his feet, ya understand what I’m sayin?”

Johnny B. Badd defeated “Mean” Mike Enos by pinfall after KO’ing him with the “Kiss that don’t Miss” left hook.

MATCH FOUR

Sting defeated Mortis by submission after catching the man that defeated him for the U.S. Title in the Scorpion Death Lock. Sting appeared distracted and not at the top of his game many times in the contest, but it was Mortis who was even more lost without “The Gamesmaster” at ringside. That being said this was still an exciting contest. Mortis had the Franchise in trouble and was preparing for the “Flatline” reverse side Russian leg-sweep, but Sting reversed it with the Scorpion Death Drop then locked on his patent submission hold for the victory.



After the match Sting checked in with Bob Caudle, who says that Sting was noticeably shaken out there and asks Sting why? “Well Bob first, Diamond Dallas Page and Kimberly are friends of mine, and I gotta tell ya, I just came outta Page’s locker room, and it wasn’t exactly fun and games in there. I am very concerned about Kimberly, I am very concerned about Lex and, Bob I just have a lot on my mind right now. I hate to cut this short Mr. Caudle, but I’m getting my bag, and going to try and help DDP anyway I can.”


Bob says, “well there you have it fans, obviously The Stinger has an awful lot on his plate, and right now I want to bring out the United States Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger, along with his manager, the lovely Miss Elizabeth.” Sting and Luger lock eyes as they pass one another, neither man says anything, they just give each other a head nod. Lex says he truly feels for Page, because if Sullivan had run off with Liz he doesn’t know what he’d do, he just knows he would not be thinking like a sane man. Lex goes on to say that he is very interested in tonight’s big main event.


“The Nature Boy and I have had our rounds, but I can say that we have gained a mutual respect for one another. When you have dished out as much punishment as we have on one another, you gain respect for the other man’s tenacity, his drive, his will to win. Curt Hennig is a friend of mine, he is one of very few, who have stood behind the Total Package, and I respect him very much. He is an excellent athlete and an excellent World Heavyweight Champion.”

That is why he hopes that one of those two men come out victorious tonight, because he certainly does not respect “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.

“Piper is a selfish, back stabbing, politician who only cares about Roddy Piper. He has played Sting for a fool, and once Curt and Flair get done with you Piper, I want you to know, that you have the TOTAL PACKAGE TO ANSWER TO!”

One match away from ensuring that I get Curt Hennig at Halloween Havoc. The only problem the Nature Boy has is trying to decide what kind of match I want to end Hennig’s career in. Do I want to break his leg and embarrass him in an I Quit match? Do I want to strip the flesh off his hide in a Leather Strap Match? Or hows about a Texas Death Match? So many choices. Now Roddy, the only piece of advice I have for you, is to stay out of my way, because tonight, WOOOOOOOO, the Nature Boy is on a mission, and that mission? As always Bob Caudle, To. Be. The. MAN. WOOOOOOO.”







We go to pre-taped comments from the NEW INTERNATIONAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE STEINER BROTHERS! Rick and Scott are getting dressed in a locker room, a banner in the back says “THE KING OF SPORT, NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING.” Scotty says, “Ya know, it feels real good to hold tag team gold with my brother once again. Here we are in the Land of the Rising Sun, taking care of business in the Egg Dome defending these International Tag Team Titles, but Rick Martel, Bobby Eaton you punks better not think we have forgotten about you! Everytime I stretch I get a twinge in my ribs from the beating you two gave me. But that’s nothing compared to what me and Ricky are gunna do to you boys at Havoc.” Rick jumps up, “WOOF WOOF, that’s right, ya know me and Scotty, we uh, uh we been waiting a long time now to get back at you two goons. Harlem Heat tried to stop us. Demolition tried to stop us, but we are coming after our World Tag Team belts!”







Bob Caudle is in the dressing room of WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION CURT HENNIG. Curt says, “So everything comes to a head here tonight. Roddy Piper wants my belt. Ric Flair wants my belt. I want Ric Flair. Well fellas, tonight we all get the chance to get what we want. It doesn’t get much bigger than this Bob Caudle. I have been thinking about getting my hands on Ric Flair ever since Wargames. Fantasizing about all the different ways I can hurt him, injure him, and end the legacy of the Nature Boy. How fitting that with a win tonight, I can decide exactly how I get to do that. All I have to do is get through Roddy Piper and Ric Flair here tonight. So it has all come down to this. One match to decide the future of three of the all time greats. One match to decide the future of THIS THE RECOGNIZED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP of the ENTIRE WRESTLING WORLD. So Piper, Flair, I hope you are ready, because the champ is!”








“Rowdy” Roddy Piper is pacing in the back, scratching his head with a microphone in the other hand. “Weeeeeeeell well well, the gang’s all here tonight. We got banana nose strutting around here woo’ing like Jack Nicholson in One Who Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest. We got the Champeen of the World chasing after banana nose. We got kidnappings, assaults, threats, well that sounds just like my kinda party. I been fightin my whole life man. 15 years old, fist fighting whino’s for the best seat on the curve, man. You think I’m scared of a triangle, elimination, ANYTHING GOES TEXAS QUIT CAGE DEATH MATCH?! Well you don’t know the ‘Hot Rod’ man. Me and Irene are coming to that ring tonight man, and we going to put the WOOOOO man to sleep, then we gunna put his perfectness to sleep, and then its on to Halloween to raise some Havoc man!”






Tony says, “Fans our huge main event is next, don’t you dare go away!!!”

TRIANGLE ELIMINATION MATCH
WINNER DECIDES THE MAIN EVENT AT HALLOWEEN HAVOC
World Heavyweight Champion Curt Hennig vs. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper vs. “Nature Boy” Ric Flair

This one kicks off just the way you would expect it to, fists and fire, all three men dishing out punishment to one another. First man to take a nasty fall is Flair who gets dumped to the floor. Now its Piper and Hennig nose to nose jaw jacking, but that doesn’t last long as Piper sticks his fingers right into the champ’s eyes and gets the advantage. Hot Rod uses all his fist fighting prowess to send Curt reeling, and Piper wastes no time go for GOODNIGHT IRENE! He has the sleeper on the champ in the center of the ring, and Hennig is fading. The arm falls once. It falls twice. But Flair breaks it up!? Why the hell would Flair do that? Hennig rolls to the floor and Piper and Flair are nose to nose now.

Naitch chops Piper’s chest so hard it sounds like a shotgun firing, which brings back some memories for Dusty Rhodes in the broadcast booth. Flair atomic drops Roddy, cinches up on the ankle, “NOOOOOWWWW we go to school!” The Nature Boy is going for the figure 4, but Piper gets his boot on Flair’s ass and fires him face first into the turnbuckle. Piper goes behind Flair, rolling reverse cradle, one…………two………….and NO! Flair kicks out just in time.

Here comes Hennig back into the fight. He knees an unsuspecting Piper right in the kidney’s and now its Piper’s turn to taste the floor! Now Hennig has the man he wants, he has Flair one on one in the middle of the ring. Naitch is begging off, but the Champ ain’t having it. Lefts and rights and lefts and rights and a huge dropkick has Flair in trouble. Huge biel out of the corner, followed up by a running knee drop to the forehead, Flair yells out in agony, Hennig mockingly “WOOOO’s” as he, no he’s not, yes he is! Hennig is going for the FIGURE FOUR! But the master has a counter and Flair pushes out of the predicament, sends Hennig flying into the ropes, where Roddy Piper is waiting KNEE TO THE KIDNEY’S! Flair quickly wraps up an inside cradle, one…………two……………THREE!!!!!!!!!!!




CURT HENNIG HAS BEEN ELIMINATED




“Look at da Natuah Boy stwut around like a rooster!” The Dream says with a big laugh. Terry Taylor doesn’t find it too funny, “whats that supposed to mean Rhodes?”




Now we are down to Flair and Piper, but Hennig is refusing to admit defeat and will not leave the ringside area! He is arguing with Piper, and Flair sneaks up from behind, he rolls up Hot Rod, one…………..two…………….thre NO! Piper barely gets the shoulder up. Now Flair gets ruthless, pulling at Piper’s nose, fish hooking, raking his eyes, Ric Flair is a man possessed. SMACK! Flair is lighting up Roddy with his legendary chops. But Piper is shaking it off. SMACK! Piper’s face is turning red as his chest. SMACK! Flair chops him again, but the blood is pumping now and Piper is firing back with lefts and rights. Face plant, down goes Flair! Down goes Flair! Roddy comes up behind, he is measuring Flair, its time once again for GOODNIGHT IRENE!

BUT HERE COMES HENNIG ON THE APRON! Ref Nick Patrick goes to get the champion down, but Piper beats him there. Piper shoves Hennig, Hennig shoves Piper who falls back INTO THE WAITING ARMS OF FLAIR, SCHOOL BOY, one…………..two…… HANDFUL OF TIGHTS… THREE!!!

“Nature Boy” Ric Flair has won and will choose the stipulation for his World Heavyweight Championship Match at Halloween Havoc!





Ric Flair gets the hell out of dodge, and Piper goes right to the ref to plead his case, but Nick Patrick’s decision is final. Piper is LIVID! He goes after Hennig, and tackles him in the middle of the aisle. Piper and Hennig are brawling all the way to the back!!!!!





Tony, Terry, and The Dream sign off going over what was a major night for World Championship Wrestling. Kevin Sullivan and Mr. Wonderful orchestrated a devious plot to kidnap Kimberly the Diamond Doll and pulled it off to perfection, hopefully we will be able to hear from DDP by the time Saturday Night is on the air. And to top off a wild night, Ric Flair was somehow able to survive the Triangle Elimination Match and will name the stipulation for the World Heavyweight Championship Match at Halloween Havoc, we hope to have word on the stipulations by Saturday Night. Goodnight everybody!

An Instrumental version of Rage’s “Killing in the name off…” opens up the broadcast

Tony Schiavone and Terry Taylor open the broadcast discussing the awesome Main Event from last Monday in Tupelo where Ric Flair managed to come out victorious over Curt Hennig and Roddy Piper, and will get to name the stipulations for his WCW World Heavyweight Championship, the FINAL BATTLE he has been calling it, against Curt Hennig. Flair will be with us tonight, and Tony hopes he will announce the stipulation. Terry discusses World Television Champion Ricky Steamboat’s problems, his MASSIVE problem in Big Bubba Rogers who is not here to play games or make friends, “he is here to beat people up and head to the pay winda as Dusty Rhodes would say, and he has his sights set on The Dragon.”

Tony says that the most disturbing news comes from the Dungeon of Doom, as last Monday on Nitro, not only did Mr. Wonderful, Mortis, Meng, and Hugh Morrus put the beating of a lifetime on Diamond Dallas Page, but The “Gamesmaster” KIDNAPPED THE DIAMOND DOLL, and Dallas Page is fit to be tied. The American Dream will have an interview with DDP later in the broadcast, right now fans let’s send it up to Dave Penzer!




MATCH ONE

The Tongan Torture Machine, Meng defeated youngster Lenny “the Express” Lane by technical submission when the youngster passed out in the clutches of the Tongan Death Grip. Meng looks absolutely unstoppable.





AND HERE COMES DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE WITH A STEEL CHAIR!!! WHAM!!! He dents the chair on the head of Meng, but the monster is unfazed! Meng yells something in his native tongue and motions at Page to bring it on, DDP obliges, WHAM!!! Meng once again shakes it off, HERE COMES HUGH MORRUS who is somehow able to get his Dungeon mate out of the ring; Meng has not taken his eyes off of Page, who has snapped!!!

Page shows the chair to the camera, “Dream, I want you to know, I want JJ Dillon to know, I WANT KEVIN SULLIVAN TO KNOW, me and this here steel chair will be in every city, every building beating the sh…. Beating the crap out of every member of the Dungeon of Doom until Kim is returned safely. Sullivan, Orndorff I will end you, and may God have mercy on your soul BECAUSE I WON’T! Dusty, I respect you more than just about any wrestler in the history of wrestling, and you have waged war with Kevin Sullivan many times, and Dream, I’m going to put a stop to him. He will feel. The. BAANG! Kimberly, I’m coming for ya baby”

Dusty says, “Tony, Tewwy, DDP has a look in his eyes, and I can tell ya daddy I wouldn’t want to be Kebin Sullibn, Pawl Orndowff, or anyone in the Dungeon of Doom, let’s get back to the action”





MATCH TWO

Bunkhouse Buck, “Mean” Mike Enos, and “Lightning Foot” Jerry Flynn defeated Scotty Riggs, Jim Powers, and Ray Lloyd by pinfall after Flynn delivered a spinning heel kick to the temple of Lloyd. This was a back and forth contest that saw all 6 men display some offense, but the rugged veteran Buck was able to organize his team and gain a victory.



Bob Caudle is at the interview desk with Harlem Heat and Sister Sherri, who say that the Steiners, “the Championship Committee’s chosen ones” finally got what they wanted. They whined and cried to JJ Dillon long enough that they finally barred “the big bad black boogie men” from the building and “you suckas got a win, but when Harlem Heat makes a promise, it’s to the grave, ya feel me?” The Steiners might have won the International Tag Team Titles last week, and they may be getting a shot at “the sissy’s who are keeping the World Tag Team Titles warm for Harlem Heat,” at Halloween Havoc, but “every tag team in WCW will get, got! Now can you dig that!?” “Sucka”



MATCH THREE

Harlem Heat w/Sister Sherri defeated Brad and Steve Armstrong when Booker T. planted Steve with the Heatseeker Top Rope Dropkick. This was an outstanding back and forth tag team match-up between two of the best brother teams in the history of the sport.

Now Halloween Havoc is a few short weeks away, and The Nature Boy will be getting back HIS WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP! It makes me who I am! I get off on people calling me, ‘Champ’ and it’s been too long since I’ve heard those words. The World Heavyweight Title is why Ric Flair lives in the biggest house, on the biggest hill, on the biggest side of Charlotte, North Carolina. Not only do I get back my title, my respect, and my notoriety, I get to end Curt Hennig’s career.”

Bob Caudle says, that begs the question then, just what kind of match he will be having with Curt Hennig.

“Oh Bob Caudle, just like last night at the Mariott when those ladies were quivering in anticipation, the suspense is killing you isn’t it? HA HA, WOOO, and you know who else the suspense is killing? Huh? It’s killing Curt Hennig, but don’t worry champ, just a little while longer. You see when you are the Nature Boy, you can keep people waiting, it’s one of the perks of being Ric Flair.”





MATCH FOUR

United States Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger w/Miss Elizabeth defeated Mortis by submission with the Human Torture Rack. The current champion got all he could handle from the former United States Champion, and Mortis appeared to have Luger beaten on a couple of occasions but the masked man once again seemed lost without the “Gamesmaster” out here with him, and kept peaking to the back, the distractions proved to be his undoing.

Lex Luger and Miss Elizabeth are with Bob Caudle, and the U.S. Champ says, “Poor Roddy finally had to pay the Piper. He came to World Championship Wrestling with an agenda, and he failed. Now Roddy Piper, you have to take a long look in the mirror and ask yourself something, are you really as good as you believe you are? You’ve accomplished a lot in the wrestling business they say, but one thing you’ve never done is beat Lex Luger. So I am issuing a challenge to you Roddy Piper, you want gold? You want respect? Well meet Lex Luger and earn something instead of whining and backstabbing and politicking! Come on Liz!”






“Whoa, whoa, whoa there Flexy Lexy!” RODDY PIPER has a microphone and is in the ring! “You don’t have to wait for my answer, if it’s a fight you’re looking for you don’t have to look to hard, cuz Ol’ Hot Rod loves to fight, man! No politics, no backstabbing, just fists and eye gouging man. Where ya going? Ya know Liz, what happened to you? I remember when you used to be with a real man, you traded him in for one that likes shopping as much as you? I’ve seen Lexy with his fannie packs, did he pick out that skirt for you, or for him? Cuz he sure ain’t wearing the pants!”



LEX HAS HEARD ENOUGH!!!!! LEX LUGER AND RODDY PIPER ARE THROWING DOWN HERE AT CENTER STAGE!!!!!!!!!! Neither man is backing down, but neither man has the advantage either, and

This is an unbelievable contest; four of the very best wrestlers in the entire world are letting it all hang out here on The Superstation. Sting, needless to say, is all kinds of fired up, and the cagy tag team champions use that to their advantage, drawing him in to gain the advantage on The Dragon. Martel and Steamboat wrestled a classic last week, which resulted in The Champs issuing this challenge to Steamboat. Luger and Piper are still out here at Center Stage, and the energy in the building is thick enough to cut with a knife.

The Dragon is able to roll out of the way and avoid the “GLAM JAM” top rope leg drop from “Beautiful” Bobby, and make the HOT TAG to the Stinger who comes in fists and fire! Dropkick to both champions, Sting fires Eaton into the corner, he fires Martel into his partner, STINGER SPLASH TO BOTH MEN! Sting locks the Scorpion onto Eaton, but Martel makes the save. Here comes Steamboat! All four men blasting away!

Tony, Terry, and Dusty welcome everyone to the broadcast; they discuss this past Saturday Night’s conclusion and the MASSIVE 6 man encounter in store today as World Tag Team Champions Bobby Eaton and Rick Martel team with Big Bubba Rogers to take on World TV Champion Ricky Steamboat, The Stinger, and their partner tonight “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. Lex Luger defends the United States Title against “The Tongan Torture Machine” Meng. And the wait is finally over, tonight on this broadcast, “Nature Boy” Ric Flair announces the stipulations for the main event of Halloween Havoc, and he and World Heavyweight Champion Curt Hennig will have a contract signing for what Flair has been calling “The Final Battle.” “And Tone let me cut in for a moment if ya wheel; yesterday I went down to Orlando, Florida, to the home of Diamond Dallas Page, he and The American Dream philabustered for a time, and we will be airing that footage right here tonight, I gotta say that I truly feel for DDP.” And on top of that the International Tag Team Champions, Rick and Scott Steiner are back from a very successful tour of Japan, where they defended their titles in front of 70,000 fans, and they are in our opening contest!



MATCH 1
NON TITLE

The International Tag Team Champions, The Steiner Brothers defeated “Mean” Mike Enos and Bunkhouse Buck in a hard hitting contest when Scotty pinned Enos after big brother Rick took him off Scott’s shoulders with a Bulldog from the top rope. HARLEM HEAT came to ringside and tried to make good on their promise that the Steiner’s would not win another match as long as they were around, but on this night their antics backfired as Sherry’s distracted the referee and Stevie Ray attempted to take out Rick Steiner with a clothesline, but Scott was able to pull his brother to safety, Ray nailed Enos, then ate a FRANKENSTEINER from Scotty to set up a Steiner victory.



And as you would expect Harlem Heat and The Steiner Brothers had words after the contest, Sister Sherri was somehow able to convince her boys that this was not the time or the place and they backed their way up the ramp as the Steiner’s celebrated their victory and Nitro went to break

The Steiner Brothers are at the interview desk with Bob Caudle and say that they had some tough battles in the Orient, but nowhere on the planet is the tag team competition tougher than it is right here at home in World Championship Wrestling. Eaton and Martel are two of the best wrestlers Rick and Scott have ever wrestled, and that very few times have they been tested as grappler’s outside of college and Japan, but those two present those problems. Then you have powerhouses like Demolition who you have to fight just to survive. The teams like Enos and Buck, The Armstrong Brothers, veteran tag teams who cannot be surprised by anything or anyone. That brings them to Harlem Heat, “they can wrestle, they can fight, they are big, strong, and fast, and Sherri is a great wrestler herself, they are a great tag team, but me and my brother just don’t like them. Ain’t nobody trying to hold you guys down, people just don’t like you because you have big mouths. It ain’t cause your black, its cause you are ASSHOLES, tell em Ricky!” “That’s right Mr. Caudle it’s like my brother said, we won’t be pushed around, we do the pushing, and after we take out them sissy models, Harlem Heat can have a shot WOOF WOOF WOOF!”




Terry Taylor is in the back with Col. Parker, Bobby Eaton, Rick Martel, and Big Bubba Rogers. The Col. starts off by saying that he couldn’t be happier to see Harlem Heat and The Steiners beating each other to pulps every week, they are just making it easier on his boys. “Now tonight we have business at hand, and we are proud to have this fine gentleman right here, Big Bubba Rogers on our side as we…..” Bubba steps in, “I just want to tell you boys to stay out of my way, I’m going to hurt Ricky Steamboat tonight, and I will hurt anyone who tries to get in my way whether it’s you two, Sting, or Piper, it don’t matter to me. Bubba Rogers is through playing games, I ain’t nice, I ain’t friendly, and I don’t play well with others, you boys will do good to keep that in mind when we tag up tonight.” Terry says that Big Bubba is through with this interview, so he is too, “let’s go to back to Bob”





Bob Caudle is standing by with United States Champion Lex Luger who has a STERN challenge in just a few moments, defending his coveted championship against the seemingly unstoppable force that is Meng. But Luger seems more concerned about other things, “You know Bob Caudle I understand that being the U.S. Champion puts me in a lot of people’s crosshairs, and that Kevin Sullivan signed up Meng for this match weeks ago, but why are Sting and Ricky Steamboat being forced to tag with Roddy Piper when they wanted me to be their partner? Just another case of Roddy Piper being given something that he has not earned, Piper you accepted my challenge Saturday Night, and next week on Nitro you get your shot at me, and this United States Championship,”

Bob Caudle says he hates to cut the Champ off, but he thinks it’s a big mistake to look past Meng, and assume that Luger will still be champion next Monday.

“Well Mr. Caudle that is your opinion, but when you are The Total Package and you have the First Lady of Professional Wrestling in your corner, you have confidence in yourself. I’m not looking past Meng, I have a plan for him, a plan that will work to perfection with Kevin Sullivan nowhere to be found. As I was saying though, Piper you have a date with destiny next week, and the Total Package is going to show the world just what kind of man you really are!”



MATCH TWO

Hugh Morrus defeated Steve Armstrong by pinfall after connecting with the awe-inspiring “No Laughing Matter” moonsault. This was an excellent back and forth match-up, Steve gave Hugh all he could handle in this one, and really tested the big man, but Morrus proved his worth tonight, his athleticism was on full display tonight.




AND HERE COMES DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE WITH HIS DENTED UP FOLDING CHAIR!!!!!!!!!!!! Hugh Morrus barely gets the hell out of dodge, and is yelling “you chair swinging freak, you will get what you have coming to you!” And Morrus shows his devious grin as Nitro goes to break

Mortis defeated Brad Armstrong in an epic encounter that saw many extraordinary spots, and tons of offense. Armstrong had the masked marvel right where he wanted him and was setting up for the Side Russian Leg-Sweep, but it was reversed by Mortis into an attempted “Flatline” reverse Side Russian Leg-Sweep, only to have Armstrong counter that! The end came when Mortis thwarted an attempted top rope move by Brad by hitting the ropes, and going for a Superplex of his own. Brad was able to fight out of that, but was not able to fight out of THE FLATLINE FROM THE TOP ROPE!






“Hello wrestling fans, it’s the American Dream Dusty Rhodes on location in Orlando outside the home of DDP.” Dusty knocks on the door and Page sticks his head out, invites Dusty in and tells him to excuse the mess. There are broken pictures and vases, a destroyed couch, and a fire place stoker is STICKING OUT OF THE TELEVISION! “I must say Diamond Dallas; your place is a wreck,”

“Dusty, I’m a wreck. Everytime I try to sleep I think about what that monster Kevin Sullivan and his goons are doing to Kimberly. In the mornings, without thinking I will call out for her, the silence is killing me. And sometimes, sometimes Dream, I see Kevin Sullivan and Paul Orndorff’s face everywhere I look. I couldn’t stop watching the tape of last Monday’s Nitro where they kidnapped her, finally I snapped and made a mess of my place, but that is nothing compared to the mess I’m going to make of Paul Orndorff at Halloween Havoc. It’s nothing compared to what I’m going to do to every member of the Dungeon of Doom each and every time I see their face.”



“Tony, Terry, I have never felt for a man the way I feel for DDP, he seems lost without Kimberly, and I truly feel that Kebin Sulliban and Pawl Owndohff have made a miscalCUlatIOOON in regards to this idea. Meng defeated Lex Luger w/Miss Elizabeth by disqualification when DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE once again hit the ring and attacked the “Tongan Torture Machine” with his dented up folding chair, and just like this past Saturday Night, Meng was unfazed by the first shot, so DDP nailed him again, and again, and a fourth chair shot finally sent Meng backwards over the top rope, Lex Luger tried to step in and calm Dallas down, but narrowly missed a shot to the head from DDP himself!

“As we prepare for the signing of Ric Flair vs. Curt Hennig: The Final Battle, let’s take a special musical look at the history between Flair and Hennig.”



“Tonight, Tonight” by The Smashing Pumpkins plays over various shots of Flair and Hennig fighting. In street clothes, in tag bouts, and in singles bouts. Footage of Flair’s reaction to JJ Dillon bringing Curt Hennig in, leading to Flair’s removal as WCW President. Footage is shown of Flair being eliminated from World War 3 where Curt captured the World Heavyweight Championship, finally ending up with footage of them covered in blood, fighting it out in Wargames where Flair injured Curt’s leg. The video ends, with the music coming to crescendo on a split screen of Flair on one side and Hennig on the other, the screen goes black, OCTOBER 28th THE….FINAL….BATTLE….



JJ Dillon and Doug Dillenger are in the ring as first The Nature Boy makes his entrance, dressed to the nine’s adjusting his rolex and making sure the cameraman gets a close-up of his watch. Ric Flair is the picture of confidence as he enters the ring. And here comes the World Heavyweight Champion, who seems to be bottling up an amount of rage that he can barely contain. He marches into the ring, takes a pen, signs the contract, grabs the mic.

“Flair, things are finally coming to an end at Halloween Havoc. I don’t care what kind of match you have devised; my name is on the contract. You can smile all you want, you can paint a picture of confidence to the world all you want, on October the 28th, I am putting an end to this rivalry, and I am putting an end to your career!”

“Well Champ, it seems that your game face is on, well THAT’S GOOD! The Nature Boy likes that! You see Ric Flair does not do anything half way. When that man right there, when JJ Dillon brought you to WCW he made the biggest mistake of his life, he got you in over your head Pal, and at Halloween Havoc I will show the world how much better than you I really am. There is a reason why I’ve been saying that this will be the final battle, BECAUSE IT IS WOOOOOOOOOO! You beat me, no more Ric Flair, I’m through, I’M DONE, I WILL LEAVE THE PLACE I CALL HOME, I WILL LEAVE WCW! But the same goes for you Curt Hennig, when I beat you, when I PUT YOU IN THE FIGURE FOUR AND YOU SCREAM UNCLE, THAT’S IT! You’re done! Gone! Like Pamela Anderson after she got off of Space Mountain, you will be finished, HA HA! But this can’t be just any loser leaves match-up Curt Hennig. You and Me, Halloween Havoc, Loser Leaves WCW, INSIDE A FIFTEEN FOOT HIGH STEEL CAGE! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Naitch gets in Hennig’s face, he signs the contract, and says something to the Champ, and Hennig obviously did not take too kindly to him as he palmed Flair’s face and shoved him backwards over the table! CURT FLIES OVER THE TABLE AND ONTO FLAIR!!! It’s breaking loose, Dillinger and the his security team are finally able to separate these two as Nitro goes to break.

MAIN EVENT

World Tag Team Champions Bobby Eaton and Rick Martel with their partner Big Bubba Rogers defeated Sting, Roddy Piper, and Ricky Steamboat when Rogers was able to pin Steamboat after the Bubba Side Slam. This was another outstanding bout in a string of recent classics involving, Steamboat and the Super Models. Eaton and Sting opened the contest and were putting on a clinic, Sting and Steamboat worked as a well oiled machine tagging in and out, Piper seem less than 100% invested in the bout. He and Sting spent a good portion of their time on the apron talking.

When the Super Models and Bubba had Steamboat in the wrong part of town Sting went to save his friend, only to be backed out by the referee, and the Stinger was none too pleased with Piper not coming to Steamboat’s aid with him. Finally Piper seemed fed up, tagged himself in and took the fight to Big Bubba. Piper slapped on Goodnight Irene, the sleeper hold, only to be squashed by Bubba into his corner, where Eaton and Martel aided in his mugging.

Sting and Steamboat came to their partner’s aid, and Steamboat tagged back into the bout. Piper was favoring his ribs as Sting and Steamboat once again took over the contest with excellent teamwork. Roddy refused a tag, saying he was still hurting. Sting had Eaton in his team’s corner, came flying across the ring, but Eaton ducked out of the way and as Sting crashed into the turnbuckle, he NAILED PIPER BY MISTAKE! AND PIPER TAKES A WALK! Piper is yacking as he takes off up the ramp, he backs into, LEX LUGER!!! Luger and Piper are brawling on the ramp. Sting is getting attacked by Martel and Eaton, leaving a beaten up Dragon at the mercy of Big Bubba Rogers, who plants the TV Champion with his patent side slam and picks up a very important victory!




And Nitro fades to black

The feud between Lex Luger and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has reached a fever pitch. After weeks of bickering and fist a cuffs their feud boiled over in a United States Heavyweight Championship match on Monday Nitro. It was a wild main event seeing neither man implement a traditional catch-as-catch-can style of offense, more of a traditional Saturday Night in Muskogee style of offense. Senior Official Nick Patrick had his hands full to say the least, and was doing a masterful job of officiating, but Patrick missed the most significant incident of the contest when RODDY PIPER BRAINED LEX LUGER WITH THE US TITLE AND STOLE THE VICTORY!

Luger was in a world of trouble and needed medical attention. His relationship with the Stinger has been rocky at best in recent months, all thanks to "Hot Rod" but that did not stop Sting from checking on his long time friend and chasing Piper away. Sting did not take too kindly to the actions of Piper and realized that Roddy is not the man that Sting believed he was.

The former United States Champion was irate, Luger bandaged up came out and demanded his title rematch at Halloween Havoc, but WCW President JJ Dillon was hesitant. While Lex had been medically cleared to compete in a wrestling match, President Dillon did not believe that a bout pitting Luger vs. Piper would be a typical wrestling match. So JJ had an idea, after weeks of being shunned by Luger, and after being deceived by Piper, The Man Called STING WOULD BE THE SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE FOR THE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCH AT HALLOWEEN HAVOC!!!!


 










Harlem Heat has remained ever true to their vow of disrupting the International Tag Team Champions, the Steiner Brothers quest of regaining the World Tag Team Championship from Beautiful Bobby and Ricky Martel, The Super Models. For weeks now the Steiners have been on a quest for momentum and Harlem Heat has been there to thwart every attempt.

Meanwhile, the World Tag Team Champions and their manager Colonel Rob Parker could not be more pleased with the situation. The two greatest challenges to their reign are at each other's throats and seem on the verge of all out war. Eaton and Martel have been able to navigate the mine field that is WCW's tag team division, and have looked great together. In what many around the wrestling world are calling a dream match between Martel and Eaton vs. Rick and Scott, one has to wonder, exactly what role will Booker T and Stevie Ray play in the outcome?












Big Bubba Rogers has continued to be the hottest athlete in all of Professional Wrestling, he has dominated his competition since returning to WCW. Even scoring a pinfall on former friend and current World Television Champion Ricky The Dragon Steamboat in a tag team contest. These two men have been at each others throats leading up to their championship contest at Halloween Havoc. Fighting during interview segments, interfering in the others matches. It had become so bad that WCW President JJ Dillon will not allow both men in the same building before we get to Joe Louis Arena in Detroit on October 28th!















No feud has been more personal than Diamond Dallas Page vs. Kevin Sullivan's Dungeon of Doom. The devious one has kidnapped Kimberly and Dallas has been on a rampage! With his trusted steel chair in hand DDP has been on the hunt for Sullivan, Orndorff, Hugh Morrus, Mortis, and Meng. Sullivan says that Kimberly will be on hand in Detroit, but he will not guarantee her well being. If all of this has been to prove that women have no place in the wrestling business and that Kimberly has been holding DDP back then it is possible that Sullivan's point is being proven. Dallas has been an unhinged, chair swinging lunatic, with no focus or direction. Sullivan says that aggression and hatred is good, and that Dallas will have to bring it all with him to Halloween Havoc when he meets Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff in a No Disqualification Match Up. DDP promises that Mr. Wonderful will pay for his part in these crimes, and that if one hair is out of place on Kimberly, Sullivan will be haunted by this decision to his grave!














And in what is shaping up to be a Main Event for the Ages The Nature Boy Ric Flair has played it calm, cool, and collected. Seemingly too cool leading into a match with such importance, inside a steel cage, loser leaves WCW against the undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World Curt Hennig. Brought in by JJ Dillon to bring an end to the reign of terror of Commissioner Ric Flair, Hennig has displayed the fortitude and wrestling ability that has made him such a force in Professional Wrestling. Finally able to "win the big one" Curt Hennig won the World Heavyweight Championship at wrestling's ultimate battle royal, Wrestle War 3. Now the champion's fortitude and abilities will be put to the ultimate test.

Flair has been attempting mind games with the Champion, reminding the World how many times he has been champion, showing footage during interviews of his heinous attack on Hennig following Wargames, as well as footage of himself defeating Dusty Rhodes, Vader, Harley Race, and Sting in World Title Matches. Week by week as Halloween Havoc approaches The Nature Boy has tried to inside Curt's head, make him believe that the fight was lost before it even began. But on the final episode of television before Halloween Havoc it was Curt Hennig with the upper hand, getting under Flair's skin, winning a fist fight and stripping Flair down to his BVD's.

After the contest Meng and Hugh Morrus come check on their fellow Dungeon of Doom member who has been on quite the skid as of late. Morrus seems genuinely concerned for a bit, but then a maniacal laughter overcomes him as the Tongan Torture Machine spins Mortis around and drops him with the Tongan Spike, and has Mortis flopping like fish on the banks in the Tongan Death Grip. Without releasing the TDG, Meng slides toward the head of Mortis as Hugh ascends to the top rope and delivers not one, but TWO No Laughing Matter Moonsaults. Morrus pulls Meng off of Mortis as the two back up the aisle.

Finally Meng is forced to take a knee as Doug Dillinger and his security team drags DDP to the back. Meng shakes his head and lets out a primal scream! The EMT’s are wheeling a devastated Mortis out of the building, and Meng snaps again, flipping the gurney over and locking in the Tongan Death Grip once more!

Tony, Terry, and Dusty marvel at the toughness of Meng as they send it to their partner Bob Caudle who is standing by with Ric Flair!

Somebody has to win, somebody has to lose, and tonight Curt Hennig when you are crying Alligator tears wondering where it all went wrong sitting alone in that Holiday Inn, I will be out drinkin with Zeke! Isaiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Bill Lambeer, and I will be rolling in Detroit Rock City! WOOOOOOOOOOOO”

Match Four
No Disqualification

Diamond Dallas Page defeated “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff in a brutal back and forth fight. There was no feeling out process, and no punches pulled. These two men used everything that was not nailed down in their fight. Highlights saw Orndorff nail his patend piledriver on Page through the Spanish Announce Table at ringside. Both men were smarting from the maneuver, and if Orndorff had been able to capitalize quicker the end might have been different. The end saw Mr. Wonderful on the top turnbuckle, for some reason, Page shook the ropes and Wonderful was crotched on the top turnbuckle, as he bent over in pain DDP landed one of the most vicious Diamond Cutter’s ever seen for the victory.


After the contest on the big screen Kevin Sullivan appeared and had words for Page, he had Kimberly taped to a folding chair in the bowels of “the Joe” and he told Page that if he wanted her to come and get her!





Tony, Terry, and Dusty reset the show. From here on in it is all about WCW Titles. First up is the World Television Title. This former friendship has turned into a brutal, hard hitting game of one upsmanship. Big Bubba Rogers has been an unstoppable force since returning to WCW, much the same can be said for the Dragon as well who in his first match back won the TV title from another hard-nosed wrestler. Terry says that he has tons of respect for Ricky Steamboat, and that he is definitely a big match wrestler, you don’t take out Randy Savage and Ric Flair on wrestling’s biggest stages without being one of the all-time greats, he just doesn’t know how the Dragon can overcome this mean ass mountain of a man. Dusty says that he has been in the toughest fist fights of his life against Big Bubba and that for the Dragon to “make it to da pay winduh” he will have to keep his temper in check and wrestle the big man. Tony says that he has been looking forward to this one on one encounter as much as any on this huge show and sends it up to Penzer.

Match Five
For the WCW World Television Championship

Big Bubba Rogers was able to defeat Ricky Steamboat by pinfall to become the new Champion. The Dragon survived the early onslaught, and drug the contest into the deep waters, getting Rogers past the 20 minute mark, but Bubba showed that he has cardiovascular conditioning to keep up with the Steamer. The Dragon showed why he has held championships in every promotion he has ever wrestled in, taking everything that Bubba could dish out, and fighting back. Rogers looked like a million bucks, with Steamboat toting a serious ass whooping. Steamboat rolled out of the way of Bubba’s second rope body splash, and went for his multiple pinfall attempts from different pinning combinations, but the power in the legs of Bubba was too much for that. In a shocking ending, Big Bubba Rogers caught Steamboat as he was attempting his top rope cross body block, and PLANTED him with the Bubba Slam.





Diamond Dallas Page is in the boiler room the Joe Louis Arena yelling, “Kimberly!” when he hears Sullivan’s voice. Finally after weeks of sleepless nights and mind games, Diamond Dallas Page has his eyes on Kimberly and her kidnapper. You can see the RAGE taking over DDP as he rushes toward Sullivan, BANG!!!!! Hugh Morrus from out of nowhere blasts Page with a steel folding chair. Sullivan and Morrus bend down to examine DDP who is bleeding like a stuck pig at this point, when they look up, THE TONGAN TORTURE MACHINE is growling. The camera goes to Kimberly’s face, her mouth is taped as well, but her eyes tell the story as she squeezes them closed and we hear the beating taking place.





Bob Caudle is standing by Col. Robert Parker and the WCW World Tag Team Champions Bobby Eaton and Rick Martel. Parker seemingly has had perma-grin since Harlem Heat has arrived on the scene and been at war with the Steiner Brothers. Parker tells Bob that not only are his boys the prettiest tag team in wrestling they are the best World Tag Team Champions of all time! And that their title reign will go down in history as the longest reign ever because they are smart too! And that is why his men will be victorious tonight against the International Tag Team Champions, and it doesn’t matter if the Steiner’s are in their back yard or not, they are too dumb to defeat his boys.

Match Six
For the WCW World Tag Team Championship

The Steiner Brothers won the match but not the World Tag Titles when Harlem Heat hit the ring and attacked much like Rick and Scott did to them back at Fall Brawl. The crowd was HOT for Rick and Scott in Detroit, and what a match they were being treated to. Tit for tat neither Eaton and Martel or The Steiners had extended stretches of dominance, both teams proved why they are each considered two of the very best in the World. Eaton and Martel at different points had mat wrestling clinics with Scotty, but the power of Steiner was too much, and the hard hitting striking of big brother Rick had the champions reeling. But Eaton and Martel know every trick in the book and never let themselves get put into a position to be finished. The Steiners did appear to have Eaton ready for the end however as Scotty hoisted him onto his shoulders, tagged in his brother who climbed to the top rope, when suddenly Stevie Ray hopped the rail and knocked Rick Steiner off the top rope as Booker T. slid into the ring and took advantage of Scott’s positioning. Eaton, Martel, and Parker slipped out the back door with their titles once again, and Harlem Heat under the direction of Sister Sherri laid a beating on the Steiner Brothers, and the Detroit fans let them have it! Booker T. and Stevie Ray soaked it all in as they were being pelted with garbage, and they had a big laugh as they headed up the ramp.





Tony, Terry, and Dusty take us through the timeline of the bitter feud between Lex Luger and Roddy Piper. Terry even described Sting as “nothing more than a pawn in Hot Rod’s game.” Dusty says that he never thought he would say this about “Rowdy” Roddy Piper but he has certainly “turned back into a snake in the grass.” Tony says that maybe Piper has been a snake in the grass all along and that the fans were also pawns in Piper’s game, buttered up in attempts to garner good will and movie ticket sales. They agree however that Piper can throw hands with the best of them, and that they all believe Sting will let this contest play out. Terry believes that Sting will screw Piper, but that “Piper has himself to blame for that!”

Tony and Dusty say that Sting has too much integrity to screw anyone. That even though Lex Luger is his best friend, and they are estranged, Sting knows how prestigious the United States Championship is and will not “steal” it from Piper, no matter how much he despises him. One thing they can certainly agree on and that is that this contest will be one for the ages!

Special Referee is Sting

Sting establishes the boundaries early, he allows both men to use closed fists and the points of their boots, but demands quick, clean breaks when they get tied up in the corner, or if someone is in the ropes. Sting is going to let Piper and Luger decide who the better man is. At one point he even takes a seat on the top turnbuckle and lets the two wrestling greats go at it only putting a stop to things when Piper is using the tag rope to choke Lex.

Lex comes back though and begins working on the back of the smaller Champion with power moves. Lex even dusts off a complete Buzz Sawyer power slam, he hooks the leg, 1……….2……….and NO! Lex is upset with the speed of Sting’s count, but you can hear Sting yell that “I will count the same for him too Lex, now get to work!” And Luger does just that by attempting to squeeze the life out of Piper with a bear hug. Piper fights out of the predicament finally by raking the eyes, and shrugs off the admonishment from Sting. Now Piper goes through all his bag of tricks with rights and lefts and brawling tactics. Piper fires Lex into the ropes, HOT SHOT! 1……..2………..and NO! This time it is Piper complaining about the speed of Sting’s count, it is deliberate but it is constant.

Piper is on the second turnbuckle on the inside, waiting Luger to get up, he leaps onto his back, GOODNIGHT IRENE! PIPER HAS THE SLEEPER! PIPER HAS THE SLEEPER! Lex is fighting it tooth and nail, but as Dusty points out, fighting it like that will wear you down quicker. Luger is fading, and now Sting checks his best friend. The arm drops once. Sting looks at the time keeper and holds up one finger. He lifts up Luger’s arm again, it drops again, Sting looks over at the time keeper and holds up two fingers. RODDY LETS GO OF THE SLEEPER AND STARTS CELEBRATING???! Sting stops the celebration and tells him that it is not over, Piper is irate! They are arguing at the ropes as Luger groggily makes it to his feet. Lex rushes at Piper, bionic forearm! Over the top rope he goes, but Piper pulls Sting with him! Both guys crash hard on the arena floor.

Luger takes a moment to regroup; he was in Goodnight Irene for an extended period of time and is feeling the effects of the most dangerous sleeper hold since the Weaver Lock. Piper is starting to stir, and grabs Dave Penzer’s chair, he comes into the ring with it, and the two are wrestling for control of the chair! Lex rips it from the hands of Piper who hits his knees and is begging for mercy! But it was all a ploy, Piper low blows Luger!! Piper surveys the scene and is very pleased with himself. Luger is pulling himself up the corner, Piper walks over to him, chair rose above his head, he is about to brain Lex, BUT STING PULLS THE CHAIR AWAY!!!!!

Piper spins around and is FURIOUS! He and Sting are having words. PIPER SPITS IN STING’S FACE!!!! Sting calmly wipes the spit away, Sting swing’s the chair like he is Ken Griffey, Jr.! Piper ducks, STING SMASHED LUGER! STING SMASHED LUGER! Roddy Piper is grinning ear to ear as he makes the cover! Not this way! Sting has no choice, 1…………2…………….3!

Piper laughs in Sting’s face as he rolls under the bottom rope, grabs his United States Title and heads away. Sting and Elizabeth check on Luger, Sting gets the E.M.T.’s to ringside, what a miscarriage of justice!





The Smashing Pumpkin’s “Bullet with Butterfly Wings” plays over a special video documenting the storied history of Curt Hennig vs. Ric Flair.

After the video Tony, Terry, and Dusty set up the main event. Terry and Dusty discuss Cage Matches being the most dangerous of all matches in professional wrestling, and that when you put the loser leaves WCW caveat in the equation we are in for a real treat. Two of the very best wrestlers of all time know that there is no turning back, their livelihood and their careers are on the line in this one, and it is for all the marbles. Tony says he could not imagine WCW without Ric Flair, and that after the year that Curt Hennig has had he is not sure if Ric Flair can overcome the obstacle in front of him, but he learned a long time ago not to doubt the Nature Boy, and that for the first time in his entire career he is calling a match where he truly has no idea what will happen. Terry Taylor says that Ric Flair has always been his idol, and that come hell or high water he believes that Ric Flair will do whatever it takes to cement his legacy as the greatest World Champion in the history of wrestling. Dusty is at his best here, discussing his battles with Flair, his battles with Curt, his battles with Larry the Axe Hennig, and that he can’t recall a time since he was a child, “growing up as the son of a plumber, diggin’ ditches in Austin, Texas” that he has so eagerly anticipated a wrestling match.

CHAMPION CURT HENNIG vs. “THE NATURE BOY” RIC FLAIR

These two men are certainly no strangers to the other, their feud has raged for months, but both men are a bit tentative in the early goings. With so much riding on the outcome neither man wants to make a mistake early in the bout. They exchange holds and counters, Hennig attempting to work on the top of the shoulder and neck, while Flair, naturally, attempting to work on the legs of Hennig. Side headlock by Hennig, he sits down with it, turns into a head scissors, Flair flips out of it, he’s on top, 1……….2…….. bridge out by Hennig, swinging reverse neck breaker by the Champion! Hennig drops an elbow, and another, and another, he drops the knee across the forehead, Flair writhes in agony, and eats a boot to the mush! Hennig is the first to use the cage as he fires Flair into all four sides, and The Naitch is gushing blood already!

Seeing his own blood does something to Flair though, the intensity has really picked up in this one. Now it is the Dirtiest Player in the Game who is on the attack, grinding the Champion’s face into the mat, across the ropes, and then into the cage! Now both men’s faces are a crimson mask! Naitch, WOOOO, is lighting Hennig up in the corner with chop, after chop, after brutal chop. Flair sits the champion on the top turnbuckle once again. Flair joins him at the top.

MASSIVE SUPERPLEX has Flair feeling the effects as well, he inches over, 1………..2……..NO! Flair goes for an elbow drop but Curt moves out of the way once, twice, he rolls away a third time, now the Heavyweight Champion of the World is firing up! He eats a chop and asks for another! Flair obliges! Hennig spins him around, rights and lefts. Hennig biels Flair out of the corner and over half-way across the ring! Standing dropkick catches Flair in his ample proboscis. Hennig gets behind Flair, he locks his hands around his waist, and he pops the hips, GERMAN SUPLEX WITH A BRIDGE! 1……2……..NO! He holds on to the waist lock, he spins around, he pops the hips, NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX WITH A BRIDGE! 1……..2………………AND NO! The World Champion is cooking now! Hennig calls for it, he grabs up the Cradle, PERFECT PLEX! THIS IS IT! 1…………….2………………3 NO! How did Flair kick out?

Flair is backing off, Naitch pulls himself up in the corner, a thumb to the eye buys the former champion a moment to catch his breath. Flair grabs a standing side head lock, and delivers rapid fire punches to the nose of Hennig! Flair hooks Hennig in a delayed standing vertical suplex, Flair bounces off the ropes. Knee drop across the forehead, Flair grabs Hennig’s ankle, “NOOOOOOOOOOOW” spinning toe hold, here he goes, and it’s Figure Four Time! But Hennig uses his other foot to shove Flair into the cage, Naitch bounces off, Hennig rolls him up, SMALL PACKAGE, 1………..2………..NO! Flair barely escapes. Both warriors are showing the signs of battle. Right hand by the Champion, chop by the challenger, right hand, chop, right hand, left hand, right hand, Hennig is getting the better of the exchange, he grabs a side head lock, Flair fires him into the ropes, shoulder block by Hennig drops Flair. Second rope fist drop from Hennig, 1…………..2………….NO! Thumb to the eye buys Flair a moment, he bounces off the ropes, Hennig ducks a clothesline, Flair bounces off again, power slam from Hennig, 1………2…….NO!

Curt Hennig hooks Flair again, he cradles the leg, PERFECT PLEX, NO! Flair rolls him up in a small package, 1…………..2………….NO! Hennig rolls the small package over, 1………..2……….NO! Flair kicks out, they stand, Ric Flair plants a knee to the gut, he lifts Hennig up, SHIN BREAKER! “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOW” Figure Four once again! This time he has it! The Champion is screaming in pain, Hennig is violently shaking his head no! Hennig rolls it over! Now it’s Flair shaking NO! They finally roll out of the predicament, both men are limping noticeably. Chop by Flair drops Hennig with a chop. Ric Flair is climbing to the top rope!!! WTF?! Flair flies off HIGH CROSS BODY CONNECTS! Hennig rolls through, 1…………2………..3!!!!!!!!!!! HENNIG WINS, CURT HENNIG HAS PINNED RIC FLAIR!




Curt Hennig looks down at a fallen Champion who now must leave WCW, Hennig gives Flair a nod, he raises his hands high, and leaves victorious!

Ric Flair is standing alone in the center of the ring as the cage raises, and with a tear in his eye, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair blows a goodbye kiss to WCW as the PPV fades to black….
