Already scheduled for that show, the Great Sasuke faces Al Snow. As well, Demolition put the International Tag Team Titles on the line in a rematch with the Orient Express. And, in the main event, Ric Flair goes one on one with Sting! - TONY and TERRY talk about a match that is set to take place at Fall Brawl, between Sgt. Craig Pittman and this mysterious masked man, known only as Cobra. CLIP: the masked man, Cobra, confronting Sgt. Craig Pittman, and throwing a fireball at him.TONY says that we saw Cobra in action last week, we know what both of these men are capable of in the ring, it should be a great match. - SGT. CRAIG PITTMAN beats TERRY AUSTIN via submission with the Code Red.After the match, while Pittman is getting his hand raised, Cobra climbs out from the under ring, behind Pittman. He jumps into the ring, sneaks up behind Pittman, and locks on the Cobra Clutch! Pittman is caught completely off-guard, and it only takes a moment before the lights go out. Cobra drops Pittman to the mat, and takes the mic from David Penzer. Cobra, with his voice digitally-enhanced, tells everyone that what they just witnessed is the same thing that’s going to happen to Pittman at Fall Brawl. - TONY and TERRY talk about what took place last week, involving the World Tag Team Champions the Super Models and newcomers Harlem Heat. TONY and TERRY talk about that match. Tony says that Scott Steiner will be out of action for a few more weeks, due to the injury to his ribs.
This brings out SISTER SHERRI and HARLEM HEAT – BOOKER T and STEVIE RAY. Sherri says that everywhere Harlem Heat have gone, they’ve left a trail of broken bodies, they’ve held the Tag Team Titles in every promotion they’ve ever been in. She feels that alone should be enough to warrant them getting a shot at the titles, and since it looks like Martel and Eaton don’t have any opponents for Fall Brawl, she challenges Col. Parker and the Super Models to put the belts on the line against Booker T and Stevie Ray at Fall Brawl!
Suddenly, COL. ROB PARKER walks out.
PARKER: “Now hold on a second here, little lady. You can’t just walk into World Championship Wrestling and demand a title shot! Harlem Heat may be an impressive team, I’ll give you that, but to think that they can come in and walk right into a match with the greatest tag team in the history of this sport? Well that’s just PREPOSTEROUS!”
BOOKER T and STEVIE RAY move menancingly towards Parker. Stevie Ray grabs him by the collar.
PARKER: “Now hold on there boy, there’s no need to be puttin’ yer hands on me!”
STEVIE RAY doesn’t take kindly to being referred to as “boy”, and he hauls off and slugs Parker in the mouth!
The Colonel hits the floor, and here come the World Tag Team Champions BOBBY EATON and RICK MARTEL.
Eaton and Martel pounce on Stevie Ray and work him over, but Booker T grabs a chair and the Champs and Parker are quick to back away.- TONY and TERRY interview RICK & SCOTT STEINER at ringside. RICK talks about the injury to his brother, and says that they don’t care which of those teams hold the titles, when Scott is back to 100%, they’re coming after their belts! SCOTT says that he’ll be back in action soon, and when he comes back, Martel and Eaton are going to pay for what they did to him! - HARLEM HEAT (w/ Sister Sherri) beat TIM PARKER & STEVE SIMPSON when Booker T pins Parker following the Harlem Hangover top-rope legdrop. It’s time for the FALL BRAWL REPORT! - KEVIN KELLY hosts the FALL BRAWL REPORT segment. Kevin talks about the show, which will air live on TBS on Sunday, September 16 from the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls, IA. Matches scheduled so far include . . . * Johnny B. Badd will take on Al Snow! * Sgt. Craig Pittman and Cobra will go one on one! * the Super Models defend the World Tag Team Titles against Harlem Heat, who will replace the Steiner brothers! * The return of War Games: the Match Beyond! So far, we know that WCW World Champ Curt Hennig, Sting and WCW US Champ Lex Luger will be on one side, with a fourth partner yet to be named, and they’ll face Ric Flair, Hugh Morrus, Scott Norton and a fourth partner, also yet to be named! And much, much more! - MENG (w/ Kevin Sullivan) defeats BRUTUS “THE BARBER” BEEFCAKE via submission with the Tongan Death Grip in a tough, hard-hitting match.- TONY and TERRY talk about the altercation on this program two weeks ago, between Diamond Dallas Page and Chris Benoit at the end of the DDP – Ric Flair match. Late in the contest, Page has the match well in hand, and connects with the Diamond Cutter. Before Page can cover the Nature Boy, Chris Benoit jumps into the ring and jumps Page from behind. Referee Nick Patrick calls for the bell, and disqualifies the Nature Boy.
Flair’s still down, but Benoit pummels Page with some heavy forearms. When Benoit moves behind Page and goes for the Dragon Suplex, Page swings his leg back, catching Benoit with a low blow, and then he drops Benoit with the Diamond Cutter!TONY says that Page asked for a match with Benoit, and that’s coming up next, in our main event! - WCW TV Champion CHRIS BENOIT VS. DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE (w/ the Diamond Doll) The fans are treated to a hard-hitting, back and forth match-up here. Neither man really gets a clear advantage early on, but as the match progresses, Benoit takes over. He works Page over, and sets him up for the Dragon Suplex, the same move the Champ has used to put away several challengers.
Page has other ideas, though, and just as he did when Benoit tried to hit him with the move two weeks ago, Page swings his leg back, hitting Benoit with a low blow, and then he grabs the stunned Champion by the head, and hits the DIAMOND CUTTER!
Page covers Benoit as we pass the 10-minute mark of the match. Referee Nick Patrick is right there to make the count . . . ONE . . . TWO . . . THREE!!!
Diamond Dallas Page has pinned the WCW Television Champion!!!
However, we’re informed that the official time of the pinfall was 10:10, a mere 10 seconds past the 10-minute limit where the belt is on the line. Page gets the victory, but Benoit leaves with the belt.TONY and TERRY wrap things up. Tony talks about how close Diamond Dallas Page came to leaving the ring as the new Television Champion, a mere 10 seconds earlier, and he would have won the belt. Taylor says that’s one of the benefits of being the TV Champion, all you have to do is hold out for the 10 minutes, and then, even if you lose, you don’t lose the belt! SCHIAVONE hypes next week’s show, which will feature a very interesting tag team match, as Sting teams up with “Rowdy” Roddy Piper to face the Super Models. Tony reminds everyone to tune in to TBS this Monday night for the return of MONDAY NITRO! CLOSING CREDITS

From there, we see the confrontation between Piper and his long-time rival Ric Flair on a later episode of Piper’s Pit.TONY says that this led to the signing of our feature match on next week’s edition of Nitro . . . Hennig faces Flair AND Piper in a Triangle match! The title won’t be on the line, but the winner will face Hennig for the belt at our next PPV event, Halloween Havoc! - KEVIN KELLY conducts a backstage interview with “NATURE BOY” RIC FLAIR, SCOTT NORTON, HUGH MORRUS, along with KEVIN SULLIVAN. FLAIR talks about War Games coming up at Fall Brawl, and then introduces the fourth member of their team . . . MIKE AWESOME! Flair says that Mike Awesome’s name is fitting, because from what he’s seen of him so far, he’s been simply awesome. Flair says that they’ll destroy Hennig, Sting, Luger and whoever their fourth partner is! - AL SNOW beats HAYABUSA via pinfall at the 11-minute mark after sitting Hayabusa on the top turnbuckle, then DDT’ing him to the mat. Late in the match, Hayabusa had the upper hand, and went for the Phoenix Splash, but Snow rolled out of the way, then hit the top-rope DDT.- KEVIN KELLY is in the ring, following a commercial break, and he’s joined by WCW World Champion CURT HENNIG. HENNIG talks about Mike Awesome being added as the fourth member of Flair’s team, and says that Awesome is a monster, but he’s confident that his team will prevail. Kelly asks about the fourth member of Hennig’s team, with Curt saying that they haven’t made a final decision yet, but they will announce their partner by the end of the show. CURT then talks about the issues with Flair and now Roddy Piper, and says that he’s known Piper for a long time, and he doesn’t trust him any more than he’d trust Flair. He then talks about the Triangle match next week, against Flair and Piper, and says that he’ll beat both of them. - TONY, TERRY and DUSTY talk about the arrival of several Japanese wrestlers to WCW. - We see a video highlighting the Japanese wrestlers that are already wrestling in WCW, like the Orient Express, Hayabusa and the Super J Crown Champ Great Sasuke. We then see footage of some of the Japanese stars that will be coming to WCW shortly, such as Kensuke Sasaki and Masa Chono. The video ends with footage of Chono beating Rick Rude back in 1992 for the NWA World Title.- TONY, TERRY and DUSTY talk about the two big main event matches this week, and send us to the ring for the first one, as Sting takes on long-time rival Ric Flair! - STING battles “NATURE BOY” RIC FLAIR to a NO-CONTEST at the 8-minute mark.
Sting and Flair give the fans another classic match, as they always do when they meet in the ring. Flair takes an early advantage after a rake of the eyes, and focuses on Sting’s knee, looking to soften him up for the Figure-Four. Sting battles back, taking the fight right to the Nature Boy.
In the end, the match ends up being thrown out after Flair’s team-mates for the upcoming War Games match, Scott Norton, Hugh Morrus and Mike Awesome, hit the ring and attack Sting. This brings out Lex Luger and Curt Hennig, and they brawl all over the place with the heels. Referee Nick Patrick throws the match out, declaring it a No-Contest.- We see a video of a man with long blond hair, pulled back in a ponytail, walking out of a restaurant, and puts on his sunglasses. Almost immediately, he’s surrounded by screaming fans. The man pushes his way through the crowd and addresses the camera. He says his name is ROD PRICE, he’s the biggest star that California’s ever seen, and now he’s on his way to World Championship Wrestling!- WCW WORLD TITLE MATCH CURT HENNIG (Champ) pins SCOTT NORTON with the Hennig-Plex at 10:09.
After the match, Hennig is attacked by Kevin Sullivan and Hugh Morrus. He fights them off as best he can, until Scott Norton joins in as well.
At that point, RODDY PIPER hits the ring, grabs a chair, and chases the heels off. Hennig gets back to his feet, watching the heels retreating, then turns and finds himself face to face with Piper.- TONY SCHIAVONE climbs into the ring to talk with CURT HENNIG and RODDY PIPER who are both staring at the other. They’re joined moments later by STING and WCW US Champion LEX LUGER. HENNIG demands to know why Piper came out and helped him. PIPER says that he doesn’t want Hennig to have any excuses when he beats him next week in the Triangle match. TONY asks about the War Games match coming up at Fall Brawl. STING then asks Piper to be their partner for the match, which catches Hennig off-guard. Hennig and Sting argue about it, but finally, Hennig agrees. The two men shake hands, but it’s obvious that Hennig still doesn’t trust Piper. Neither man lets go of the handshake, and they stand nose to nose as the show comes to a close. CLOSING CREDITS

Rob Parker and his WCW World Tag Team Champions, “Beautiful” Bobby and Ricky Martel, The Super Models. Col. Parker is using his handkerchief to wipe down Bobby’s title belt while Martel admires his reflection in his, and says that the Steiner Brothers got just a little taste, and now Harlem Heat another “brother” duo will get more than they bargained for, and while the Colonel is certainly a distinguished southern gentleman, Sister Sherri had better keep her nose out of the big boys business. Mr. Caudle reminds Col. Parker that Sister Sherri is a highly decorated grappler, and multiple times Ladies World Champion. Col. Parker says thats fine and well, but she ain’t grapplin with no Ladies at Fall Brawl Match 2 Harlem Heat w/Sister Sherri d. Kimberly and Mr. Caudle scurry out of the way, the beating continues as we head to break . . . . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . . . Tony, Terry, and Dusty welcome us back and go over what just happened in the back during his interview, and are unsure on the condition of Diamond Dallas Page, they hope to have an update on his condition before we go off the air. Match 3 Johnny B. Badd d. Bunkhouse Buck in a back and forth contest by pinfall after nailing the returning veteran with the “Kiss that don’t Miss” left hook. Johnny looks into the camera and says that Al Snow had better have his dancing shoes on if he plans on avoiding that left hand, its so pretty! He kisses his fist, and says “I’ma Bad Man”Bob Caudle is standing by with Sting, the United States Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger w/Miss Elizabeth, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, and the WCW Heavyweight Champion of the World Curt Hennig, and asks if the men trust one another. Sting is the first to answer saying they might not be as cohesive a unit as the San Francisco 49ers, but the one thing they all can agree on is that Ric Flair, Scott Norton, Hugh Morrus, and Mike Awesome are in for the fight of their life next Sunday! Mr. Caudle goes on to ask about tonight’s big main event where Sting and Lex Luger team up to take on Hugh Morrus and Scott Norton, Lex says that Scott Norton has given him some of the toughest battles of his life, but when he and his best friend Sting team together, he believe that there isn’t a force in the world that can stop them. Meanwhile, Piper and Hennig have not taken their eyes off each other, Curt leans in and says that he hates to interrupt Mr. Caudle on his first night in WCW, but “Hot Rod, I gotta ask, do you have a problem?” Hennig asks sarcastically. Piper says no, no he was just admiring that strap around Hennig’s waist, and that he wants to thank Sting for getting him invited to this “family dinner” and that as much as Roddy Piper wants that World Title he is excited to get locked in the Shark Tank at Fall Brawl, and that once he has had his “Fine fin soup” The WCW World Heavyweight Championship will be the main course. Lex, Liz, and Curt turn and walk away from Sting and Piper who have looks of surprise . . . . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . . . Match 4 “Beautiful” Bobby w/Col. Rob Parker and Ricky Martel d. Steve Armstrong by pinfall after connecting with the Glam Jam leg drop from the top rope. These two men are no strangers and really went at it tooth and nail. Steve gave one half of the world tag team champions all he could handle in this one, but Bobby was able to come out victorious.
Bob Caudle is standing by with the head of the WCW Training Staff who says that Diamond Dallas Page’s condition is improving, and we would have a final determination on his condition by the time WCW Saturday Night airs at 6:05 eastern the night before Fall Brawl, but his status for his World Television Title Match is definitely in question . . . . . . . . . . (Pictures) Bob Caudle is standing by with Kevin Sullivan, Hugh Morrus, Ric Flair, and Scott Norton who stares menacingly at the camera while loosening his neck and rubbing his hands together. Kevin Sullivan talks about the “cancer” that is Roddy Piper, that cancer is eating away at cells of Lex Luger, Sting, and Curt Hennig. “Sting, let me tell you something, I have the darkest of hearts and I know evil because I am evil, I’m just not a liar, I do not hide my evilness. Lex Luger and Curt Hennig have also known evil Sting, listen to your friends.” “Bob, by Gawd, Caudle, WOOOOOO, the Nature Boy is feeling good tonight!” Flair talks about how the big, bad, fellow Minnesotan, Scott Norton has treated “Luger like a woman you pick up down at the bar, lying there exhausted, trying to catch their breath, wondering what the hell they jumped on!” He also talks about Hugh Morrus’ athletic ability, the man hits like a heavyweight and moves like a junior heavyweight, men that big aren’t supposed to be able to do moonsaults that well. “O and finally Bob, doesn’t it just break your heart to hear that Diamond Dallas Page might not make it to Fall Brawl? He couldn’t beat the Crippler anyway so it doesn’t change anything. But Kimberly, just so you know, when you are ready to try the best, space mountain is open year round. WOOOOOO!” Match 5 “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff defeated the youngster Scotty Riggs by pinfall after nailing him with the Piledriver. Riggs gave it everything he had in this one and had Mr. Wonderful on the ropes for a few nearfalls, but the toughness, and experience of Orndorff were too much on this occasion.Bob Caudle is standing by with Harlem Heat and Sister Sherri who heard what the Colonel had to say earlier. Stevie Ray says “that beer bellied share-cropper better watch his mouth when talking bout Sist Shurri.” Booker T doesn’t mince words either stating that “Colonel Sanders can bet that if Sista Shurri gets hold of him his butt would be extra crispy, ya understan what I’m sayin’?” Finally Sherri takes the mic and says that Halloween Havoc is about her boys, Harlem Heat showing that they are the very best tag team in the World, to prove why they have won tag team gold everywhere they have ever wrestled, and if Colonel Parker’s shoe comes into play, then she has a pair of high heels, and “Col. Sanders, you don’t need a great imagination to know what I will do with my high heels, and trust me it won’t be finger lickin good!” Bob Caudle, “Fans don’t you dare touch that dial we will be right back with Sting and Lex Luger against Scott Norton and Hugh Morrus!” . . . . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . . . MAIN EVENT Sting and Lex Luger w/Miss Elizabeth vs. Scott Norton and Hugh Morrus w/Kevin Sullivan ended in a No Contest when referee Nick Patrick was unable to control the bout. Morrus and Norton worked very well together in this one and really did a number on Sting and Lex, but when the going got tough and Sting was making his big comeback Kevin Sullivan interefered causing a confrence between Liz and Lex. Liz returned with WCW World Champion Curt Hennig who kept an eye on Sullivan, but it was the opening of the flood gates as Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, and Mike Awesome all made their way to ringside and you can imagine how the rest of the match played out. Finally erupting in a huge brawl that went all over the building, through the crowd, on the Nitro set, causing even Tony, Terry, and Dusty to run for the hills

Tony Schiavone, Terry Taylor, and “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes are in the booth and pumped up tonight as they run down the pay per view quality card. They forewarn parents out there that this is the first time WARGAMES has been presented on live television, and “it might get a tad bit colorful, if ya understand what I’m sayin, a bit gory, if you wheel” waxes the Dream poetic like, as he sends it to Bob Caudle. “Thanks Dream, and fans I’m here with Diamond Dallas Page, and a familiar face to me, that is Rick Steamboat, and Dallas I will start with you, how is the shoulder?” DDP tells Mr. Caudle that the shoulder is healing up quite nicely, but he can’t say the same for Benoit, whom he don’t see healing quite nicely. Bob goes on to ask The Dragon how he and Dallas became friends, and Ricky says that Kimberly has been a member at Ricky’s gym in Charlotte for a while, even started teaching the aerobics classes there and that he and Dallas have worked out together many times, just as their wives had. And when Ricky saw Monday Nitro and the hideous attack perpetrated by “The Crippler” and “The Nature Boy” he paid DDP and Kimberly a visit and said that he would help in any way he could. The Dragon says that if he remembers correctly he has appeared mysteriously in WCW twice before, and both times he became a champion quickly. The first time he did it was 1989, and he pinned Ric Flair and became the World Heavyweight Champion. “And Bob Caudle, while the chorus might have changed, the song remains the same!” DDP finishes up, “Chris Benoit, I hope you are READY. TO. FEEL. THE. BAAAAANG.” Bob sends it back to the boys in the booth for our opening contest MATCH 1 Hayabusa defeats Curry Man by pinfall after a shooting star press. This was a high paced, back and forth contest that saw both masked phenoms take every chance in the book and get the crowd fired up, but it was Hayabusa a step ahead. . . . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . . . MATCH 2 Crush of Demolition w/Smash defeated Satoshi Kojima by pinfall after an elbow drop from the middle rope. One half of the International Tag Team Champions looked great in this one really taking it to his upstart, Japanese counterpart.
Bob Caudle is standing by with former WCW World Tag Team Champions the Steiner Brothers and asks Scotty about the rib injury, Scotty says he is healing up much quicker than expected and he plans on hitting the ring sooner rather than later. He adds that he hopes the Super Models find a way to pick up the victory tonight so when he and Ricky get their hands on them, “and suplex them two wanna be pretty boys out their boots, we get our World Tag Team Titles back.” Bob asks Rick if he has anything to add, “No, Mr. Caudle, I was never any good at math” MATCH 3 Johnny B. Badd defeated “Simply Sensational” Al Snow by pinfall after knocking him unconcious with the “Kiss that don’t miss” left hook. Johnny B. has really been on a hot streak as of late, but that didn’t stop Al Snow from dominating the early goings here, but that one mistake was all that Johnny needed to hit the left hook from virtually out of nowhere and snatch the victory away!. . . . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . . . MATCH 4 Sgt. Craig “Pitbull” Pittman and The Cobra fought to a double count out as their brawl spilled from the ring to the outside, up the ramp, and eventually to the back. Referee Mark Curtis didn’t have much control of this one before the fight spilled to the outside. Eye gouges, chokes, fish hooks, nose pulls, you name and these two were doing it. It is obvious that these two men will stop at nothing to destroy the other.“BOB, by Gawd, CAUDLE, can you feel it? Tonight is the night! WOOOOO! The laughing man, Hugh Morrus, he is going to finish what he started in the Falls Count Anywhere match with the Stinger, and I can assure you it will not be a laughing matter! This big man right here, Lex Luger has been having nightmares about for months! Scott Norton will put his hands on Luger and make him squeal like a little girl. Oh and Hot Rod, oh Roddy, you call yourself the Wildcard huh? Well tell me what you think about this man right here, Mike Awesome, thats right Awesome, he’s Awesome, Awesome! And Curt Hennig, while all your partners are screaming, sweating, bleeding, WOOOOO, paying the price, you won’t have anywhere to hide, pal! I’m going to snap that leg like a twig, and BOYS THE FIRST ROUND WILL BE ON NAITCH! WOOOOOOOOOOOO” Caudle says that when we come back our first title will be decided, don’t you dare go away! . . . . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . . . MATCH 5 for the WCW World Tag Team Championship The Supermodels w/Col. Rob Parker defeated Harlem Heat w/Sister Sherri by disqualification after Scott Steiner and Rick Martel got into a fight in the opposite ring. The Steiners were standing at the end of the rampway when Martel tagged out and started jawing with Scotty. Bobby Eaton and Booker T. were in the middle of the ring having a phenomenal exchange, Booker jumps out of an attempted one man flap-jack, lands on his feet, HARLEM SIDEKICK to Beautiful Bobby! Top rope HEAT SEEKER missile dropkick has Bobby down and out! Booker T. has him covered, Nick Patrick is making the count, and stops when he sees Martel and Scotty going at it over in ring one!?!?!?Sherri, Book, and Stevie are beside themselves! Booker T. and Stevie Ray are nose to nose with The Steiner Brothers while Sister Sherri is all up in Nick Patrick’s face about this decision! Colonel Parker and his men retrieve the World Tag Team Titles and scurry off like theives in the night. Officials have somehow managed to keep the Steiners and Harlem Heat from erupting! MATCH 6 FOR THE WORLD TELEVISION TITLE “Crippler” Chris Benoit vs. Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat
These two technicians traded holds and counter holds in the opening minutes, trading chops that sounded like shotgun blasts echoing through the UNI Dome. Benoit goes behind Steamboat, locks up a full nelson, pops the hips, Dragon Suplex, he bridges, 1.............2...........NO! Benoit goes behind again, waist-lock, pops the hips, but Steamboat hooks the leg with his own and reverses, pops the hips, but its Benoit who reverses, pops the hips, German Suplex, he rolls, he stands, he pops the hips, German Suplex, he rolls, he stands, he pops the hips, German Suplex, he bridges, 1.............2..............3, NO! Steamboat just gets the shoulder up!
Now Benoit hammers away again, but Steamboat with the heart of a champion fires back with chops, and elbows, and a beautiful standing dropkick sends Benoit through the ropes to the apron, they exchange chops again. Ricky bounces to his knees in agony, BENOIT SNATCHES THE ARM! He is going for the Crossface, Ricky is fighting it! He manages to get to his feet, he spins under, BACK SLIDE 1............2.............3!!!!!!!!!Ricky Steamboat is the new WCW World Television Champion!Tony says that we all need to catch our breath after that one, and we will double up on the commercial break in order to bring you Wargames in its entirety! Don’t you dare go away . . . . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . . . David Penzer: “Ladies and Gentlemen, it is now time for Wargames: THE MATCH BEYOND! The Wargames consists of 6 periods, the first period will be 5 minutes in duration, beginning with one man from each team, the remaining periods will be 2 minutes each. At the end of the first period the head of officials will conduct a coin toss to determine which team will have a one man advantage throughout the Wargames. Once all 8 men are in the cage, The Match Beyond will begin. The match beyond is one un-timed period. There will be no count-outs. There will be no disqualifications. There will be no pinfalls. The only way to win is to force a member of the opposing team to submit or surrender. And now its time for the 4 most exciting words in World Championship Wrestling..... LET THE WARGAMES, BEGIN!!!!!!”
PERIOD ONE: Sting vs. Hugh MorrusThese two have been battling all summer, and go at it tooth and nail in this one. The laughing man is receiving the business end of Sting’s knife edge’s. Chop to the left of the neck, chop to the right of the neck, chop to the top of the head. OWWWWWWWWWWWWW------ Morrus goes right to the twig and berries, cutting Sting off! Now Morrus is able to catch his breath and go to work on the Stinger. Morrus runs Sting into the cage and busts him open early in this one, and Morrus begins to mock Sting’s chest beating and his OWWW, but doesn’t see that the Franchise has gotten a second wind and is on his feet! Sting bounces off the ropes, running knee to the back sends Hugh face first into the cage, Sting fires him into the corner, Stinger Splash! Sting lift Morrus’ feet up, he raises his own foot and asks the fans if he should retaliate below the belt. Morrus begs, he pleads and Sting says “ok I won’t stomp” and drops his knee to no man’s land!!! Nick Patrick is standing by with Ric Flair and Curt Hennig to conduct the coin toss, The Champ calls heads, AND ITS TAILS!!! PERIOD TWO: Sting vs. Hugh Morrus and Mike AwesomeRic Flair sends in the hired gun, and what a great decision on his part, the big man really takes it to Sting giving his partner all the time to recover he needs. Mike Awesome lifts his partner up, all the way to the roof of the cage, and throws him down across the chest of Sting. Awesome drives Sting’s face into the cage time after time, and his painted face has turned to a mask of crimson at this point. Its looking dire for the Stinger but help is on the way. PERIOD THREE: Sting and Lex Luger vs. Hugh Morrus and Mike AwesomeSting’s best friend comes to his aid and opens up a can on both of his adversaries. Lefts, rights, clotheslines, and forearms have Awesome and Morrus bouncing around like superballs. They pair off, Sting is dominating Morrus in one ring while the U.S. Champion is taking it too Awesome in the other ring. The popular duo has the UNI Dome rocking as “Also Sprach Zarathustra” hits! PERIOD FOUR: Sting and Lex Luger vs. Hugh Morrus, Mike Awesome, and Ric FlairThe Nature Boy who has spilled more blood than possibly any other 2 Wargames veterans comes in with a thumb to Luger’s eye, a chop for Sting and then Naitch starts directing traffic! He has Morrus and Awesome taking it to Luger as he takes on the battered Stinger. Flair pulls out most of his dirty tricks before locking Sting in the figure 4. Lex valiantly fights back, but the numbers are too much for the United States Champion. PERIOD FIVE: Sting, Lex Luger, and Curt Hennig vs. Hugh Morrus, Mike Awesome, and Ric FlairThe Heavyweight Champion of the World is in next and he meets Hugh Morrus at the door and beats him back. Next he ducks under a shot from Awesome and hits a massive fisherman’s buster suplex before seeing Flair, who can’t release the figure 4 quick enough and eats a knee to the face. Lex Luger and Mike Awesome are both bleeding as they battle it out and Hennig is having his way with his arch nemesis, Ric Flair. Sting is the worse for ware, but is able to nail Hugh Morrus with the Stinger Splash. PERIOD SIX: Sting, Luger, Hennig vs. Morrus, Awesome, Flair, and NortonLuger breaks away from the pack when he sees Norton coming in and these two powerful foes are hammering away at one another, but the beating that Luger has taken thusfar rears its ugly head and the whiskey barrel chested former U.S. Champ takes over. Norton plants Luger with a belly to belly suplex, and saves Morrus from further punishment at the hands of Sting. He comes up behind Hennig, backdrop suplex saves Flair. Scott Norton is the alpha-male in the Wargames at this point! PERIOD SEVEN: THE MATCH BEYOND: SUBMISSION OR SURRENDER Sting, Luger, Hennig, Piper vs. Morrus, Awesome, Flair, NortonThe wild card makes his way into the Wargames, everyone stops what they are doing to check out Hot Rod who has his leather belt wrapped around his right hand. Mike Awesome is firing up, Hot Rod charges him, Awesome ducks, PIPER NAILS LUGER! Hennig looks on bewildered, and Flair is smiling, his pearly whites visible through the bloody mess his face is. Hennig gives Piper a shove, Piper can be heard repeating, “it was an accident!” It looks like they may come to blows, but Scott Norton takes advantage and rams both men face first into the fence! Sting and Hugh Morrus have been in from the very beginning and they are showing the toll that the wargames takes on a man, neither really able to stand, but both warriors still fighting each other with everything they have. Norton has Luger in a bear hug, Awesome and Flair are decimating Piper and Hennig, but the firey Scot and the World Heavyweight Champion roar back. Hennig has Flair in the corner hammering away, Piper launches Awesome in between the ropes and is using his foot to drive the big man’s head between the rings! Luger is BITING his way out of the bear hug! Luger bounces off the ropes, he bumps Piper! These two are looking at one another, Piper once again says it was just an accident, but Luger isn’t buying it! This time the Stinger plays peacemaker, they have bigger fish to fry! They are in a stand off staring at Awesome, Norton, and Morrus. The six brutes charge each other! When the dust settles Sting has Norton’s neck across the middle rope choking him, Piper has Awesome in Good Night Irene! Hugh Morrus looks like an extra in “Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday” and gets thrust up into the HUMAN TORTURE RACK! Flair pulls something from his trunks, BOOM! He KO’s Hennig! Flair has an opportunity to go save his teammates, but instead turns back to Hennig, and his hammering away, he has busted the champion open! DING DING DING DING DING DING!!!! “Ladies and Gentleman, Hugh Morrus has surrendered, your winners, Sting, Lex Luger, Roddy Piper, and Curt Hennig!” Dave Penzer makes the announcement but the brawl has not stopped as of yet. Sting and Luger celebrate, Sting high fives Piper, he and Luger stare each other down, Luger extends the hand, BUT PIPER WALKS AWAY! Lex and Sting are trying to figure it out, but get pearl harbored by Norton and Awesome who are holding the door! Flair has Hennig down. Knee across the knee, HE DIGS BOTH HANDS INTO THE CHAMPIONS EYES. “NOWWWWWWW, we go to school” Flair puts Hennig in the Figure 4, he is holding the ropes while Norton and Awesome hold the door. Piper stops in the aisle way, sees what is going on and heads on to the back! Finally after what seems like 10 minutes, the cage rises, Sting, Luger, and Medical Personnel check on the downed World Heavyweight Champion while Flair, Norton, Awesome, and Morrus limp away from the carnage.

Tony says that first he has to address Wargames and that two things really stand out, Terry says the first being he was right, Kevin Sullivan, and Ric Flair were right, and that Roddy Piper was a bitter and jealous man who could not be trusted. The American Dream says that he doesn’t know about that, but he knows that Roddy Piper and his team definitely were not on the same page. Tony says that the other thing that stood out was that Ric Flair, in a lot of people’s minds, had the chance to save Hugh Morrus, “Who was the very first man to step into the cage,” chimes Terry Taylor, and decided against it. Bob Caudle is standing by with Ric Flair, Kevin Sullivan, and Hugh Morrus right now, Bob Caudle addresses the bandages on Flair and Hugh’s heads as well as Morrus’ shades, and goes right to Flair and his response to the question of being able to save Hugh Morrus… “Bob Caudle, I have been in this GREAT SPORT for 20 years now, and I been WOOOOOO the man for 19 of those years! I didn’t get to the top by being a stupid man. Hugh Morrus went into the wargames last night and FOUGHT LIKE A CHAMPION! Win or lose, Bob Caudle, our team made our point. We did exactly what we set out to do, we did exactly what we said we were going to do. We beat em up! We made em bleed! Did we pay the price too!? YOU DAMN RIGHT! WOOO! Now let me ask you a question, Bob Caudle, you seen the World Heavyweight Champion today? Is he here yet? Is he coming?”Bob Caudle acknowledges that he has not seen Curt Hennig today, but has heard that his leg is in pretty bad shape and that he would not be competing tonight on Nitro. “So I guess its safe to assume that Curt Hennig sought medical attention after the Wargames? How does the champ feel today? Let me tell you what Hugh Morrus did last night! WOOOOOO! The big man took 2 shots of whiskey in the back, he got stitched up. He soaked in an ice bath for a couple hours, he used his key to get to the top floor of the 5 Seasons Hotel in Cedar Rapids, which by the way Naitch had the entire floor rented, you had a key didn’t you Bob Caudle? Anyway, when Hugh got to the party, there were 5 girls BEGGIN, PLEADIN, CRYIN, O HUGH MAKE ME GIGGLE! HAHA! What did Curt Hennig do? He had Sting and Lex Luger load him into that rented Corolla and drop him off at the Emergency Room! When Ric Flair says you are going to get hurt, when Ric Flair says you are going to the hospital, well pal you better call your insurance company, you understand what I’m sayin? WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMATCH 1 Mortis w/Kevin Sullivan defeated Lenny “ the Express” Lane with the Flatline reverse Side Russian Leg Sweep. . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . MATCH 2 Big Bubba Rogers destroyed Ray Lloyd in his Nitro debut. Rogers really brutalized Lloyd with strikes and avalanches in the corner. He finished him off with his patent Bubba Side Slam. The American Dream says that tonight Bubba reminded him just how dangerous a force Rogers can beBob Caudle is standing by with the NEW WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION Ricky Steamboat, Diamond Dallas Page and Kimberly. They talk about how great Steamboat’s match with the former champion was and how Ricky appears not to have lost a step since the last time we saw him in WCW. The Dragon says that he is eagerly anticipating defending the Television Title because of its great lineage, and that when DDP is ready he could have a shot. The love fest is broken up by MR. WONDERFUL PAUL ORNDORFF!!Mr. Wonderful says he hates to break up the party, but before Dallas Page goes to accepting World Television Title Matches from his “bosom buddy” over there he has to survive his match with Paul Orndorff tonight, and that when “Mr. Wonderful is done taking out the trash, I will take that TV Title off your hands too Steamboat!”Kimberly budges in and says that she doesn’t know whom “Paula” was referring to as trash, but her man has been robbed of the TV title enough times, that once he defeats Mr. Wonderful he would gladly accept Ricky’s offer. Orndorff snickers as DDP steps in front of Kimberly, Mr. Wonderful says, “You are a feisty one aren’t ya? Well lucky for you Mr. Wonderful likes em feisty. I’ll see you tonight, darling” Orndorff turns his back with a wink, Steamboat and Kimberly have to restrain DDP! MATCH 3 Johnny B. Badd, Brad and Steve Armstrong defeated The Equalizer, The Gambler, and Jerry Flynn when Badd KO’d The Gambler with the “Kiss that don’t Miss” left hook. . . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . Bob Caudle is with Col. Rob Parker and his WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, Beautiful Bobby and Ricky Martel THE SUPER MODELS. The Col. talks about how his boys “handled” Harlem Heat last night and how they are ready to move on. They have a big match up this Saturday Night against the Armstrong Brothers, and…. Here comes WCW INTERNATIONAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS Smash and Crush, Demolition! Smash congratulates the Models on winning at Fall Brawl, but they better not concentrate on any of the brother teams here in WCW, they need to worry about the International Tag Champs, the team that seems to have slipped everyone’s mind around here! Crush says that the Super Models are nothing more than paper champions until they defend against Demolition. Here comes former World Tag Team Champions THE STEINER BROTHERS! Scotty says that he definitely agrees that the International Tag Team Champions deserve a shot at the World Tag Team Titles, and that is why the Steiners will be taking those straps off of Demolition. Scotty says that nothing will stop he and his brother from getting their hands on Ricky Martel, and nothing will stop them from getting back their World Tag Team Titles! Uh oh! Here comes Sister Sherri and Harlem Heat. Stevie Ray says that all “these cornbread eatin’ honk honks” need to pay real close attention right now! Booker T. says that he had Bobby Eaton “colder than a ham the day after Christmas,” that he and his Big Brotha should be out here right now as World Tag Team Champions, and “the only reason we ain’t is cuz you two University of Michigan suckas! Y’all done made the biggest mistake of ya careers costing Harlem Heat son, and you think Rick Martel will pay for injuring your ribs? That ain’t nothing to what we will do to you and your mullet, now can you dig that sucka?”Col. Parker, Beautiful Bobby, and Rick Martel, sneak off as Sister Sherri guarantees her boys will emerge from this as the WCW World Tag Team Champions and the recognized greatest Tag Team in the world! “We have won tag team gold in every stinkin’ promotion we have entered, we have dominated the best tag teams wrestling has to offer and all we hear about is The Steiners are the greatest of all time, or Demolition is the toughest team in the sport! Well we disagree!”And world war 3 has kicked off! Rick and Crush, Stevie and Smash, Booker T and Scotty, they are all hooking it up as Bob Caudle barely gets out of the way! . . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . Tony, Terry, and Dusty welcome us back and recap the huge brawl that erupted over the World Tag Team Championship! That Harlem Heat, Demolition, and The Steiner Brothers all have laid claim to the #1 Contendership! And that the WCW Championship Committee has wasted no time, tonight’s main event, Rick Steiner vs. Stevie Ray vs. Smash, and you can believe the winner of that match will have a lot of momentum heading toward a title shot. Terry Taylor points out the genius of Col. Parker and the Super Models slipping off just as all hell broke loose, The Dream calls it yellow. Tony sends it to a very special recorded message! “Rowdy” Roddy Piper is sitting alone in a locker room, sweating profusely, with blood smeared across his chest. He is unwrapping his wrists, Piper wonders why he has been getting all these strange looks from the boys in the back. I told Luger and Sting that knocking Luger goofy, “which doesn’t require a very hard punch,” was an accident. He was out there because Sting ASKED HIM TO BE THERE! And people wonder, “WHY RODDY WHY? WHY WOULD YOU ABANDON CURT HENNIG?! Why the hell WOULDN’T I? Do you think that Curt Hennig would run to Hot Rod’s rescue? Well hell no! I wan’t the World Heavyweight Championship, and an injured Curt Hennig is easy prey. That wasn’t Sting getting his leg snapped!” Piper goes on to say that he did exactly what he was asked to do by his friend Sting, but nothing was deterring him from his major goal, to defeat Curt Hennig and take that World Title!”MATCH 4 Diamond Dallas Page w/Kimberly fought “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff to a double count out in a back and forth hard hitting contest. Orndorff seemed to have Dallas finished with the Piledriver, but the veteran made a cardinal mistake going outside to have a conversation with Kimberly. Mr. Wonderful had Kimberly backed against the guard rail when DDP came to and came to the aide of his wife and dumped Orndorff over the guard rail, and the two men fought through the crowd.
Bob Caudle is standing by with UNITED STATES HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION Lex Luger and THE LOVELY MISS ELIZABETH! Lex says that things here in WCW have gotten real crazy, and that throughout his career, there have only been 2 people in the wrestling profession he could “truly, undoubtedly trust” one being his best friend Sting and the other being the “First Lady of Professional Wrestling.” That Liz called him up late last night, she had seen Wargames, and told me that she believed I needed her, and “Bob Caudle it was hard to argue that point.” Lex says he was beaten and battered last night, and not just by his opponents, but by one of his partners as well. The same partner that “my best friend has been asking me to trust! The same partner that abandoned me, Curt, and even you Sting! How can you still trust Roddy Piper?!” Lex says that he hasn’t heard from Curt today but he knows that the champ was in ton’s of pain when he went to the emergency room last night, and expects to hear from Curt real soon Tony says not to dare touch that dial, we will be right back with our HUGE Triangle Main Event! . . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . MAIN EVENT Rick Steiner defeated Stevie Ray and Crush in a one-fall triangle match after catching Crush with the top rope bulldog. This was another hard hitting encounter with plenty of strikes and clotheslines, and ton’s of pinfall saves. Stevie noticed Smash and Booker T. getting into at ringside and stepped onto the apron to boot Smash in the head, inciting a riot at ringside just as Steiner was catching Crush!Tony is trying to sign off as The Dream and Terry Taylor are enjoying the fight going on down at ringside. Schiavone reminds everyone to catch WCW Saturday Night were we will hear from Sting who is also in action, and he says that with the World Tag Team Champions in action Saturday Night you can bet that Demolition, Harlem Heat, and The Steiner Brothers won’t be too far behind.

WCW SATURDAY NIGHT Airing on TBS: THE SUPERSTATION at 6:05 pm Taped at Center Stage in Hotlanta Ring Announcer: Dave Penzer Announcers: Tony Schiavone and Terry Taylor Mr. Bob Caudle with interviews Referees: Nick Patrick, Randy Anderson, and Mark Curtis
An Instrumental version of Rage’s “Killing in the name off…” opens up the broadcast Tony and Terry welcome everyone to the show and the matches signed with World Tag Team Champions Ricky Martel and “Beautiful” Bobby meet Brad and Steve Armstrong, Sting meets Bunkhouse Buck, Scott Steiner meets one half of the WCW International Tag Team Champions Smash, and in a huge main event Ricky the Dragon Steamboat and Diamond Dallas Page team up to take on Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff and Mortis w/The Maniacal Kevin Sullivan. But up first we send it to Bob Caudle who is the World Heavyweight Champion, Curt Hennig!
Bob Caudle opens up asking about the Champion’s health and Curt says that although he tried, Ric Flair did not do any permanent damage to his knee, you can see it is in a brace and he won’t be cleared to compete for a couple of weeks, but he will be rehabbing and be ok. Hennig says that he will get to Flair in a minute, but first he wants to address “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. “First of all I don’t blame Piper for leaving me out there high and dry, I would have done the same thing if the roles had been reversed. I am the World Heavyweight Champion, I expect everyone to want to see me hurt. I would like to thank Sting and Lex Luger for their help in the Wargames, but from here on in things will be done my way!” Curt goes on to say that he paid the price for hating Ric Flair enough to step into the Wargames. That price was a hurt knee, but Flair didn’t finish the job. And Roddy Piper might want a shot at the Champ but the Champ wants Ric Flair! October 1st, appropriately is a Monday Night, and Curt Hennig should be medically cleared to compete, and he wants Ric Flair, “Flair, Championship Committee, anyone who can make this happen, I will put the title on the line, I will sign for any match, you just give me Ric Flair on October first!”MATCH 1
Sting defeated Buckhouse Bunk by submission with Scorpion Deathlock, the Stinger celebrated with the fans as we went to break.. . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . Bob Caudle and Sting are in the interview area, and Sting says he knows that Mr. Caudle is very good at his job and he is sure that he has a lot of questions for the Stinger, but if he doesn’t mind Sting might just answer most of them. Sting says that he is very sorry about what happened to Curt Hennig, that Sting takes it personal that he didn’t have Curt’s back like he promised he would, and that he understands Curt’s frustrations. Roddy and Curt have issues with one another and maybe, maybe Sting made a mistake bringing Piper to their team for Wargames. Also he knows that his best friend, Lex Luger paid a price for listening to him, “Lex, you have every right to be upset about the situation, but buddy I do believe that it was an accident when Roddy hit you.” Sting says that he believes in Hot Rod, Piper is here for the World Title, those are his intentions and motivations, and he is not here to screw Sting and Lex Luger. MATCH 3
Smash defeated Scott Steiner by DQ when Harlem Heat attacked Smash with Scotty on the top rope seemingly about to finish him off. This led to Scott getting in Harlem Heat’s face, and Rick Steiner to join his brother. Officials and security where able to step in before anything could further erupt. As Harlem Heat passed Tony and Terry they were yelling for “Somebody tell the Steiners they won’t win another match as long as Harlem Heat is around!”Bob Caudle is standing by with Col. Parker as his World Tag Team Champions make their way to the ring. Parker loves the animosity between Harlem Heat and The Steiner Brothers, and that if those “buffoons” beat each other into bloody pulps how could “either team consider the possibility of defeating Martel and Bobby?” That if the International Tag Team Champions feel they have earned a shot they need to petition the WCW Championship Committee, meanwhile the Super Models will be winning matches. MATCH 3
World Tag Team Champions The Super Models w/Col. Rob Parker defeated Brad and Steve Armstrong when “Beautiful” Bobby nailed Steve with the “Glam Jam” top rope leg drop. This was another excellent match in this series. The Armstrongs have come up just short in efforts of defeating Bobby Eaton but show that they are a force to be taken seriously here in WCW.Bob Caudle is with “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, “WOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Bob Caudle what was Curt Hennig so upset about? HA HA! I told you before Wargames that you were going to the hospital. Haven’t you learned by now, that when Ric Flair speaks, his words are good as gold? Curt Hennig, you want to step into the ring with the Nature Boy Ric Flair the very first night you are medically cleared to compete? Well pal, let me tell you one thing, you must have something against being a professional wrestler, because that is not a very smart idea for a man planning to retire on his own terms. You want it? You got it! Monday October 1st! Tupelo, WOOOOOOOOOOO, Mississippi, the Nature Boy is going to injure Curt Hennig, he is going to put him out of wrestling for good, and best of all, and best of all Bob Caudle, The Nature Boy will once again be YOUR WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION! WOOOOO!”. . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . . Bob Caudle is standing by Mr. Wonderful, the mysterious Mortis, and Kevin Sullivan. Orndorff says that nothing was settled Monday Night between him and Diamond Dallas Page, but “Mr. Wonderful saw that twinkle in Kimberly’s eye when they locked eyes, and that is a moment that she will never forget.” Kevin Sullivan says that bimbo’s like Kimberly have no place in the wrestling profession and that Kimberly is not only a distraction to Mr. Wonderful but she is holding back Dallas Page. And that as far as Steamboat goes, whether it’s Mr. Wonderful or the Dungeon of Doom he will not be holding that World Television Title very long, and that tonight he will pay for his associations. I came to WCW and made it crystal clear that I was here for the World Heavyweight Championship and time after time after time the Hot Rod gets the shaft man! Sting is a friend of mine, he gets me into Wargames. I tell Curt Hennig he has to pay the piper and he runs chasing after Flair! I can tell you right now Bob Caudle, and I am telling the entire wrestling world, if anyone deserves the first title shot after Curt returns to action it is HOT ROD, it’s THE ICON! Ric Flair has had……” “Woah, woah, woah. Pump the brakes big man! Be real careful when you walk around here with Ric Flair’s name on your lips” and here comes the Nature Boy in Roddy’s face. “Now Piper you and I go way back. We have run up and down the Mid-Atlantic together, matter of fact Bob Caudle could fill the rest of this television program with Naitch and Roddy stories. I got no problem with giving you the first crack at MY, WOOOOO! MY WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. But pal, I am still the man around here, and the man don’t stand in no lines” PIPER NAILS FLAIR! Hennig says he is glad to see everyone willing to fight for the chance to become the World Heavyweight Champion, Hennig’s legacy as champion will defined by the challengers he overcomes. “Roddy, defeating you will be a big watermark for my legacy as a dominant champion, and if the Committee says Piper gets the first title shot, it won’t be October 1st, because title match or no title match, my first match back in a ring will be against Ric Flair!”And back out comes RODDY PIPER! “Ya know what Curt?” PIPER BLASTS HENNIG! PIPER AND HENNIG ARE HOOKING IT UP NOW! Roddy Piper has gone berserk here in Florence. MATCH 2 Mortis, Hugh Morrus, and Meng w/Kevin Sullivan defeat Scotty Riggs, Brad and Steve Armstrong. Bob Caudle is with Big Bubba Rogers and says that Rogers seemed much more vicious and violent last week than he has here lately in his career, Bob asks if that suggests a refocusing of his career? Bubba, “……” just stares at Bob. Bob then asks if the violence is something we can expect during his stay here in WCW? Bubba says, “I’ll show you just what you can expect during my stay in WCW”MATCH 3 Big Bubba Rogers destroyed The Fire Cat with strikes and suplexs. Rogers pulled the Cat up on multiple occasions, even cracking his first smile here in WCW after ramming his opponents back into the ring post before tossing him back in and finishing him with the Bubba Side Slam!Tony, Terry, and The Dream recap the two different brawls that broke out with Roddy Piper against the 2 men who are trying to elbow him out of the World Title picture. It is obvious that the Rowdy one will not stand idly by and watch more opportunities pass him by. Tony says that he has been handed a note and that THIS SATURDAY NIGHT the WCW Championship Committee will be sending a representative to announce their final decision, but this much is for certain; Curt Hennig will be in action next Monday on NITRO! MATCH 4 United States Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger w/Miss Elizabeth defeats The Equalizer by submission with the Human Torture Rack.
Lex and Liz meet Bob Caudle at the interview area and Lex says that Roddy Piper is finally showing his true colors. He realizes that the window is closing, his time for conquering World Championship Wrestling might soon pass him by and he is a scared man. With that, STING meets his friend with a smile and says, “Lex you didn’t return my calls, you weren’t at our gym, man are you really blaming me for Roddy making a mistake in Wargames?” Lex says that first of all he and Sting will just have to disagree about how accident prone Piper is, “Roddy is a very calculating man, I don’t believe he makes many mistakes Stinger, and it’s not about blame. This is about you Sting. You have been confused lately, what is Roddy Piper to you compared to me? I don’t blame you for what happened to me Stinger, but I gotta say it bothers me that you still are not backing me on this thing with Piper…..” Lex and Liz leave Sting bewildered. . . . . . . . Commercial Break . . . . . . . MATCH 5 FOR THE WCW INTERNATIONAL TAG TEAM TITLES Demolition defeated the Steiner Brothers by Count-Out when HARLEM HEAT came to ringside. Booker T got the referee and Rick Steiner’s attention. Stevie Ray then attacked Scotty who proceeded to fight with him all the way up the ramp, resulting in a count out. Rick, Booker T. and both members of Demolition began a HUGE brawl all over the ringside area.Bob Caudle is standing by with Col. Parker and the WCW World Tag Team Champions, “Beautiful” Bobby and Ricky Martel who are all having a big laugh and what just transpired. Col. Parker says that apparently it will be Demolition who gets the next title shots since they are the International Tag Team Champions and that it is pretty obvious that the Steiners and Harlem Heat will not let the other team win a match. Martel says that is just fine by him, that Demolition are big ugly freaks who paint their faces up and deserve to be taught a wrestling lesson. Bob sends it back to Schiavone, Taylor, and Rhodes. Schiavone says that he has just been updated, and that not only this Saturday Night will feature the Championship Committee’s decision on the Hennig, Flair, Piper situation but, get this fans, Demolition will once again defend the WCW International Tag Team Titles against the Steiner Brothers, and this time, HARLEM HEAT WILL BE BANNED FROM THE BUILDING!!!. . . . . . The Gamesmaster Kevin Sullivan made his way to ringside mid-match only to be answered by Diamond Dallas Page. The site of Page and Kimberly set Mr. Wonderful off big time and might have cost Orndorff the Television Title. Wonderful had words with Page and was making “googly eyes” at Kimberly as the Dream put it, and with his attention off of Steamboat, the Dragon made his move and finished Orndorff off with his top rope high cross body.Diamond Dallas and Kimberly had a good laugh as Kimberly got a “Paula” chant going that set Mr. Wonderful off into a rage as we went off air. WCW SATURDAY NIGHT Airing on TBS: THE SUPERSTATION at 6:05 pm Taped at Center Stage Theatre in Atlanta Ring Announcer: Dave Penzer Announcers: Tony Schiavone and Terry Taylor Mr. Bob Caudle with interviews Referees: Nick Patrick, Randy Anderson, and Mark Curtis
An Instrumental version of Rage’s “Killing in the name off…” opens up the broadcast Tony Schiavone and Terry Taylor open up tonight’s broadcast by going over last Monday’s Nitro and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper basically going crazy, and getting in the way of Curt Hennig and Ric Flair hooking it up. They discuss how a member of the WCW Championship Committee will be here during this broadcast to hand down a decision on the Hennig/Flair/Piper situation. Also in tonight’s main event, Rick and Scott Steiner finally get a shot at Demolition’s International Tag Team Titles with Harlem Heat banned from the building! With that Tony sends it to Bob Caudle at the interview desk. Bob Caudle is standing by with Col. Rob Parker and the World Tag Team Champions, Bobby Eaton and Ricky Martel. Parker says that he and the boys will be paying very close attention to the Demolition/Steiner’s match tonight, because he has signed The Super Models to meet whoever is the International Tag Team Champions at Halloween Havoc, and he commends WCW on “banning those wanna be Thugs” from the building tonight. “No matter who holds the International Straps, Bobby and Ricky will once again prove why they are the best tag team in the world today!” Caudle asks Rick Martel about his big match with Ricky Steamboat here tonight, and Martel says that Steamboat is the kind of athlete he loves competing against, because he brings out the best in Martel. Steamboat is a wrestler that Martel has been watching a very long time, and that tonight he will prove “that it’s not just how good you are, it’s how good you look doing it.” MATCH ONE Big Bubba Rogers defeated “Wild-eyed Southern Boy” Tracey Smothers by pinfall with the Bubba Side Slam in an excellent back and forth encounter. This was the first time that Bubba has been tested in any way since his return to World Championship Wrestling, but Bubba more than stepped up to the challenge. Smothers is a savvy veteran and a tough competitor, but the determination and nastiness of Rogers was just too much to overcome.. . . . . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . . . . . MATCH TWO Brad and Steve Armstrong defeated Bunkhouse Buck and “Mean” Mike Enos by pinfall after Brad planted Enos with the Side Russian Leg Sweep and Steve followed up with an elbow off the top rope. These four vets let it all hang out in their chance to showcase their abilities here on Saturday Night. The Armstrong’s have once again proven that they are a force to be reckoned with in WCW’s tag team division.Bob Caudle is standing by in the interview area with Sting and the United States Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger, and his manager, the lovely Miss Elizabeth. Mr. Caudle pulls no punches and asks Lex about walking out on Sting in the middle of an interview last Monday on Nitro. Lex says that he walked out on the interview to show Sting exactly how he feels about Piper and Sting’s friendship. “Stinger, you are my best friend, through all the ups and downs I’ve had in my career, you and Liz have stuck by my side through thick and thin. And I’m telling you, as a brother, trusting Roddy Piper will lead you down a dark path. Liz and I have been talking about it Stinger, and we think we have a solution.” Sting says, “Lex I want things between us to get back to normal, so I am all ears.” Lex says ok then, and tells Sting that in order to “exercise his Roddy Piper demons; you need to have a match with Piper, because I know that if you put Piper in the ring, he will show you his true colors!” Sting shakes his head no, and says, “Lex don’t ask me to do that, Roddy is my friend. Fighting him would be like fighting you.”Lex Luger looks at Sting as if his heart has been broken, “I can’t believe you would compare a match against Piper to having a match against me! We are brothers Sting, and Roddy Piper is a leech. That comment tells me a lot about how you feel about me. Come on Liz”. . . . . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . . . . . Bob Caudle is at the Interview Desk once again, this time with “Gamesmaster” Kevin Sullivan and “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff. Sullivan says week after week that “cheerleadah who should be at home cookin’ Page’s suppah,” has been a distraction to not only Diamond Dallas Page, but to Paul Orndorff as well. “Mr. Wonderful is one of the greatest wrestlah’s of all time, and Paul, ya gotta get the floozy out of your mind to put Diamond Dallas out to pastuah.” Orndorff agrees, but says that his feud with DDP is about more than victories, it is about showing how Wonderful he is, and showing WCW “just how big a mistake it is to call me Paula!” Sullivan goes on to lay out a challenge to Page on behalf of Mr. Wonderful at Halloween Havoc, and “DDP I will be at ringside to ensure you lesser half stays out of man business!”MATCH 3 Sgt. Craig “Pitbull” Pittman defeated “Lightning Foot” Jerry Flynn by submission with the “Code Red” cross armbreaker. Flynn was able to display his diverse martial arts attack and had Pittman reeling early, but the former Marine Sergeant was able to battle back and wrestles victory out of the hands of defeat.AND HERE COMES THE COBRA!!! The cobra has a military issued boot with him as he attacks Pittman from behind! Cobra puts the boot on his hand and his POUNDING AWAY at the Sarge! Pittman is busted wide open! Cobra wipes blood from the Pitbull’s head and smears it across his chest, and gives a mock “salute” to Pittman, as The Armstrong’s, and Scotty Riggs finally get to the ring and chase The Cobra away, but it’s too little too late. . . . . . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . . . . . MATCH FOUR World Television Champion Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat battled World Tag Team Champion “The Model” Ricky Martel w/”Beautiful” Bobby and Col. Parker to a time limit draw. This bout was a masterpiece of technical wrestling on display. Steamboat and Martel traded holds and mat wrestling, they traded blows and high paced action. Steamboat was able to overcome attempted interference from Martel’s partner and manager, to come seconds away from defeating Martel with his flying high cross body. When the time ran out, Martel, Eaton, and Parker scurried off to the back like thieves in the night, while Steamboat celebrated in the ring.BIG BUBBA ROGERS came down to ringside and was staring a hole through the Dragon. Steamboat, with a smile on his face hoped out of the ring and went over to Bubba attempting to shake his hand, but Bubba just laughed at Steamboat and yelled “Don’t touch me punk! We ain’t friends, we never been friends!” AND BUBBA BLASTS STEAMBOAT IN THE MOUTH!!! Steamboat and Rogers are hooking it up right here at Center Stage, wrestlers and security come out and break up the brawl as we go to commercial break! . . . . . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . . . . . We return from break and Tony Schiavone is standing in the middle of the ring…. “Ladies and Gentlemen, at this time, I’d like to bring out the representative of the WCW Championship Committee, who will render the final decision on the Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, Curt Hennig situation…..”. . . . . . . . JJ DILLON IS BACK IN WCW “Thank you Tony. First let me say that it’s great to be back home in World Championship Wrestling, and despite what Ric Flair may have you believe, I will remain a fair and impartial official for World Championship Wrestling. For this past week the championship committee has been in stringent deliberations regarding the World Heavyweight Championship conundrum. And to be completely honest, what the Champion, in this case Curt Hennig, wants weighs heavily on the decision making process, that is just one of the many perks of being the World Heavyweight Champion."
"That being said, the championship committee finds it unfair that Ric Flair be granted a World Title match for provoking and injuring the champion. Conduct detrimental to World Championship Wrestling is not an act that should get anyone rewarded. We have carefully considered Roddy Piper’s argument as well, but Mr. Piper has not defeated anyone in the WCW top 10, he has not had enough one on one contests here in WCW to warrant a title shot either, but, and this is a big BUT Tony, when one looks over the career of Roddy Piper, he is indeed a legend, he is indeed an ICON, and that fact has to carry leverage as well.”“Taking into account all of these circumstances, the Championship Committee has come to a decision that we find to be fair to the wrestlers, as well as pleasing to our fans. On October 1st, in Tupelo, MS on Nitro, Curt Hennig will wrestle Ric Flair….. AND “ROWDY” RODDY PIPER in a Triangle Elimination match. All three competitors will be in the action, no tags required. A wrestler can be eliminated by disqualification, count-out, pinfall, or submission. This main event will be a NON-TITLE encounter."
"But here is the catch. Each man has something profoundly beneficial riding on the outcome. If Roddy Piper is the last man standing, he WILL MEET CURT HENNIG IN THE MAIN EVENT OF HALLOWEEN HAVOC for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. If Mr. Flair or Mr. Hennig wins the match, those two will not only square off in the Main Event of Halloween Havoc for the World Heavyweight Championship, but the winner will get to ADD A STIPULATION OF THEIR CHOICE TO THE WORLD TITLE MATCH AT HALLOWEEN HAVOC. We believe this to be the fairest decision possible. Now everyone, please enjoy the main event, I thank you for the time.”Tony and Terry go over the blockbuster announcement, and what a main event we have in store for this Monday on Nitro, if there was ever a Pay Per View quality Main Event, this is it. Tony says that he expects to see a classic involving 3 of the all time greats of the sport. Terry says that we can expect all three men to pull out all the stops, everything is riding on this one HUGE main event, the ramifications of that match on Nitro will be felt well into the future. We have to take our final commercial break, but when we return, the International Tag Team Titles and a shot at the World Tag Team Titles at Halloween Havoc are on the line! Don’t you dare touch that dial! . . . . . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . . . . . MAIN EVENT FOR THE WCW INTERNATIONAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The Steiner Brothers defeated Demolition by pinfall when Scott hoisted Crush up on his shoulder, tagged in his brother who came off the top rope with a bulldog, to become the new champs. This was a brutal, hard hitting affair that lived up to the “dream match” hype. Thankfully Harlem Heat was barred from the building to ensure this match’s integrity. Not a lot of finesse in this one, but tons of good brawling, and power wrestling. Surprisingly the Steiner brothers were able to land all of their trademark throws in this one. Demolition was not to be out-done though, nor were they prepared to give up their straps without a fight! Demolition came very close to retaining their titles on several occasions. The turning point of the match was when Rick somehow managed to kick out of Demolition Decapitation, which dealt a mental blow that the, now, former champions were unable to overcome.WINNERS AND NEWWWWW WCW INTERNATIONAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE STEINER BROTHERS!!!!
Tony and Terry talk about what an outstanding main event that was and congratulate Rick and Scott, Terry says “speak for yourself Schiavone!” Terry says that it really didn’t matter what the outcome was, “because neither of those roided-up, mentally challenged teams have any chance whatsoever against The Super Models because they are the best tag team to arrive in WCW since me and Hammer Valentine were laying waste to the tag team division!” They end the broadcast discussing the monumental main event set for Monday Nitro with Hennig vs. Flair vs. Piper and the stipulations! “Fans that might just be the GREATEST MAIN EVENT IN THE HISTORY OF NITRO! And I for one can’t wait! I’m Tony Schiavone, he is Terry Taylor….” Taylor says, “and we will see you Monday from Tupelo!”
