I liked Kimmel's format for his RAW shows so much, I figured I'd borrow it so that I could get caught up quickly on the last few weeks of Nitro. ;D

Seattle Center Arena
Seattle, WA
TONY, MIKE and DUSTY open the show.
- WCW President RIC FLAIR talks about the challenge issued by JJ Dillon, for Flair to face a wrestler of his choosing at Bash at the Beach. Flair doesn’t think Dillon can find anyone to get in the ring with the Nature Boy.
Flair talks about the recent matches between Juventud Guerrera and Rey Mysterio Jr, that were supposed to determine the top contender for Super Delfin’s Cruiserweight title at Bash at the Beach. Flair asks that both Rey and Juvy come out.
Ric then says that they’ll both be involved in the title match at Bash at the Beach . . . it will be a TRIPLE THREAT MATCH for the title!
- LANCE STORM defeated JIM POWERS after hitting Powers with a Savate kick, leading to the pinfall.
Afterwards, Storm talks about being betrayed by Kenta Kobashi, and challenges Kobashi to face him in the ring, right here next week!
- GORDON SOLIE hosts the BASH AT THE BEACH Control Center. Gordon talks about the matches that have already been signed for June 17 in Miami, including the Triple Threat Match for the WCW Cruiserweight Title, and Ric Flair facing whoever JJ Dillon’s wrestler turns out to be, for control of World Championship Wrestling!
As well, after the altercation last week between Diamond Dallas Page, Alex Wright and the Wolfpac, a tag team match has been signed, DDP and Wright will meet Hall and Nash.
- We see a clip of BUFF BAGWELL hitting on Miss Elizabeth recently.
- Backstage, Bagwell is at it again, this time he’s got Liz cornered, and says that he knows she wants to give him a kiss! Liz looks repulsed at the thought, but then a smile appears on her face as a hand comes into the shot, and taps Bagwell on the shoulder. He tells whoever it is to get lost, but the hand then grabs him and spins him around . . .
Bagwell’s jaw drops. Standing in front of him, is “THE TOTAL PACKAGE” LEX LUGER!!
LUGER tells Bagwell that it’s him who needs to get lost, and Bagwell quickly takes off as Luger walks away with Elizabeth.
- HUGH MORRUS (w/ Kevin Sullivan) defeats two masked jobbers in a Handicap Match after powerbombing one of them on top of the other, and then pinning both of them simultaneously.
- MADUSA conducts an interview in the aisleway with GARY HART, MITSUHARU MISAWA and KENTA KOBASHI. Hart talks about Lance Storm’s challenge earlier, and says that Kobashi will tear him apart next week. Hart then talks about the Steiner Brothers, and says that he’s been watching them closely, and he now knows all of their weaknesses! On June 17 at Bash at the Beach, Kobashi and Misawa will leave the Knight Center as the new World Tag Team Champions!
- ROUGH N’ READY (Dick Slater & Bunkhouse Buck) (w/ Col. Rob Parker) defeat JERRY LYNN & CHAVO GUERRERO JR. Slater and Buck haven’t been seen in a while, but their return to WCW is a successful one, as they get the win after a wicked piledriver by Slater on Lynn.

- REY MYSTERIO JR defeats CICLOPE by pinfall after connecting with a Moonsault.
- In the main event, WCW TV Champion CHRIS BENOIT (w/ Ric Flair) beats BILLY KIDMAN after dropping Kidman on his head with a brutal-looking German Suplex. Kidman has to be helped from the ring afterwards.
- The show ends with GORDON SOLIE conducting an in-ring interview with WCW Champ THE GIANT, KEVIN SULLIVAN, HUGH MORRUS and MORTIS. Sullivan says he has big news, in every sense of the word, and proceeds to introduce the newest member of his stable . . . AVALANCHE!
AVALANCHE joins them in the ring and says that he’s had a lot of success here in WCW, but the Championship Committee always seems to overlook him. That won’t happen anymore, with Kevin Sullivan guiding his career!
SULLIVAN talks about the Giant, and says that they’ve had an open contract for anyone who wants to face the biggest athlete in wrestling, but no one has taken them up on it.
Suddenly, familiar music hits and HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN makes his way out to the ring, 2x4 in hand. Duggan says that he’s just signed on the dotted line, and he wants a shot at the Giant!
Duggan stands toe to toe with the WCW Champ, and the Giant tells him that he’s on, but Duggan is then jumped from behind by Mortis, Hugh Morrus and Avalanche!
They beat Duggan to a pulp, when suddenly, the lights go out!
When the lights come back on, STING is standing in the ring, holding Duggan’s 2x4!!!
STING takes the 2x4 and chases the heels off with it, before climbing back into the ring and helping Duggan to his feet. Sting then disappears as quickly as he appeared, taking off into the stands and out of sight.
- DUSTY RHODES climbs into the ring and talks to Duggan, who says that next week, he’ll leave Monday Nitro as the new WCW World Champion!

The Giant goes to pick Duggan up again, but a group of wrestlers, including SCOTT NORTON, LEX LUGER and BRUTUS BEEFCAKE arrive on the scene to put a stop to that.

- GORDON SOLIE hosts the BASH AT THE BEACH Control Center. - We see a clip of the incident last week involving Buff Bagwell, Miss Elizabeth and the returning Lex Luger.

FLAIR says that being WCW President is only the start, he will not stop until his Administration controls every aspect of WCW, and that means all the Championship belts as well! He says that Benoit already holds the TV Title, and he’s got an agreement in place with Sullivan and the Giant, so he’s content to allow the Giant to hold the World Title. But now it’s time to bring the United States title into the fold as well!
RIC says that he approached Scott Norton not long ago, about joining his Administration, but Norton rejected his offer, saying that he’d rather do his own thing. He says that stupidity is going to cost Norton the thing he cherishes most, the US Title.
FLAIR then introduces the man that he says will take the US title, and bring it to the Flair Administration, one of the greatest football players to ever play the game . . . STEVE “MONGO” MCMICHAEL!!
MONGO comes out and joins Flair, saying that it’s an honour to be a part of the Flair Administration, and he promises Ric that he will bring him the US Title.
FLAIR then says that he’s tired of JJ Dillon and these games he’s playing. It’s time to lay all his cards on the table and reveal who Flair will be wrestling at Bash at the Beach.
JJ DILLON makes his way out, with a big smile on his face, and says that it’s someone Flair knows VERY well, in fact, he’s responsible for Flair coming back to WCW a few years back.
While JJ’s talking, someone comes out through the crowd.
As Flair argues with Dillon, JJ tells him to turn around and he’ll see who his opponent is going to be.
Flair turns around, and he’s looking into the eyes of CURT HENNIG!!!
It was Hennig who ran Flair out of the WWF in early 1993, and Flair doesn’t look happy to see him here!
FLAIR throws a fit as Dillon and Hennig promise to bring an end to the Flair Administration while the credits start to roll.
