- JOEY STYLES is standing at ringside.

JOEY thanks us for tuning into the to the wildest hour of wrestling on TV. He hypes tonight’s show, which will feature three more matches from the round-robin tournament for the International Jr. Heavyweight Title, as tag team partners Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko square off, Sabu takes on Pierroth Jr and Tiger Mask IV faces Dragon Kid . . . The Headhunters defend the Brass Knuckles Tag Team Titles against Kintaro Kanemura and Puerto Rican star Miguel Perez Jr . . . Chapparita Asari teams up with Women’s Champ Megumi Kudo to face Manami Toyota and Shark Tsuchiya . . . “Mr. Danger” Mitsuhiro Matsunaga will live up to his name when he takes on one of the most sadistic men in this sport, Leatherface . . . and in the main event, Cactus Jack and Terry Funk square off with the Sinister Minister’s duo of Mr. Pogo and the new W*ING International Champ Mike Awesome!

JOEY says that W*ING USA will make their Pay-Per-View debut in about three weeks, on Saturday night, October 27 with FRIGHT NIGHT ’95. The event will be an outdoor show, taking place at the Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix, Arizona. Matches will be announced in the coming weeks.

JOEY then talks about the ongoing round-robin tournament for the vacant W*ING International Jr. Heavyweight Title. He then brings out CHRIS BENOIT.

BENOIT talks about the tournament. Joey mentions that his opponent today will be his friend and tag team partner, Dean Malenko. Benoit says that, in this tournament, there are no friends, there are only people standing between him and the Jr. Heavyweight Title. He says that he’ll treat Malenko just as he would any other opponent, and he knows Malenko will do the same.


- ROUND-ROBIN TOURNAMENT MATCH:
CHRIS BENOIT fought DEAN MALENKO to an exciting, fast-paced 10-minute DRAW. Both men earn 1 point. The match is edited for TV, down to about 5 minutes of highlights.


- JOEY interviews GARY HART and W*ING Brass Knuckles Tag Team Champions THE HEADHUNTERS at ringside. Hart says that he has managed some great tag teams in the past, but none of them measure up to these men. They have the power, the agility, and the killer instinct to be an unstoppable team.

JOEY says that they’ll have their first big test since coming to W*ING USA later on tonight when they square off with Kintaro Kanemura and Miguel Perez Jr, with Joey noting that Perez is no stranger to the Headhunters, he’s wrestled them many times before in Puerto Rico, Japan, and right here in the States when he teamed up with Crash the Terminator to face the Headhunters at an event in Philadelphia a few years ago.


- JOEY talks about W*ING Take Off ’95, which took place last Saturday night in Pittsburgh.

FOOTAGE is shown from Take Off ’95, short clips of each match are shown, with longer clips of the 20 man Battle Royal, and the main event between Terry Funk and Mike Awesome. We see Mr. Pogo get involved, setting a chair on fire, with Awesome then Powerbombing Funk onto the chair!


- MEGUMI KUDO & CHAPPARITA ASARI defeat MANAMI TOYOTA & SHARK TSUCHIYA when Asari pinned Tsuchiya with the Skytwister Press at 8:33, edited down to about 4 minutes of highlights for TV.

During the match, Madusa comes out and taunts Kudo, before picking up Kudo’s Women’s Title belt and admiring it. Kudo turns her attention to Madusa and almost loses the match when Toyota rolls her up, which seems to please Madusa.


- ROUND-ROBIN TOURNAMENT MATCH:
DRAGON KID beats TIGER MASK IV by pinfall with an Asai Moonsault. Dragon Kid walks away with 2 more points. Edited down to about 4 minutes of highlights for TV.


- PROMO: Grainy footage is shown of the camera entering a creepy looking house. We can hear something that sounds like a motor running in the distance. The camera explores the house a little bit . . . until it turns and we see a large man swinging a chainsaw rushing towards the camera! The picture goes to static.


- JOEY talks about the video we just saw, saying that Leatherface gives him the creeps, he doesn’t envy Mitsuhiro Matsunaga, having to wrestle Leatherface here tonight.


- JOEY then talks about the round-robin tournament to crown the first International Jr. Heavyweight Champion.


FOOTAGE is shown of a couple of tournament matches that took place recently on house shows. We see short clips of Tiger Mask IV defeating Dean Malenko, Sabu pinning Pierroth Jr, and Pierroth finally gaining some points by pinning Tiger Mask IV.

- W*ING BRASS KNUCKLES TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH:
THE HEADHUNTERS (w/ Gary Hart) beat KINTARO KANEMURA & MIGUEL PEREZ JR when Headhunter A pinned Perez after delivering a Moonsault. Edited down to about 5 minutes of highlights for TV.


- JOEY talks about Mr. Pogo, and introduces a video of Pogo, featuring footage of his matches in Japan.

JOEY is then joined at ringside by THE SINISTER MINISTER, MR. POGO and the new W*ING International Heavyweight Champion MIKE AWESOME.

AWESOME gloats about his win at Take Off ’95, beating Terry Funk in the match for the vacant belt. He says that he was right last week when he said that Funk is just a washed up old has-been, because Awesome said he barely broke a sweat.

When Joey asks about granting Funk a rematch, Awesome says that he would love nothing more than to kick Funk around some more, but Terry already had his shot, and there are other competitors lining up that are more deserving.

After they leave, Joey notes that Awesome didn’t seem quite as confident when Joey mentioned giving Funk a rematch for the belt.

JOEY then talks about the match that will take place later tonight in the main event, as Awesome and Pogo take on Funk and his friend Cactus Jack.


- LEATHERFACE beats “MR. DANGER” MITSUHIRO MATSUNAGA by pinfall following a top-rope Superplex. The match is edited down to about 4 minutes of highlights for TV.


- PROMO for FRIGHT NIGHT 95, live on Pay-Per-View on Saturday night, October 27. The only match that has been announced so far is that Megumi Kudo will defend the World Women’s Title against Madusa.


- CACTUS JACK & TERRY FUNK defeat MIKE AWESOME & MR. POGO (w/ The Sinister Minister). The match is a real slobberknocker from bell to bell. They battle in the ring, around the ring, out into the crowd, and at one point, Funk and Pogo make their way backstage. A camera follows them, and we see them take turns hitting each other with whatever they can get their hands on.

Late in the match, with all four men in the ring, Cactus knocks Awesome out of the ring, then assists Funk with a Spike Piledriver on Pogo. Funk covers Pogo for the 1, 2, 3!


- JOEY wraps things up, and hypes next week’s show, which will see Cactus Jack team up with Mitsuhiro Matsunaga to take on Sabu and Leatherface, Madusa faces Megumi Kudo in a non-title match, and the International Jr. Heavyweight Title tournament continues, as Chris Benoit meets Pierroth Jr.

He hypes tonight’s show, which will feature another match from the International Jr. Heavyweight Title tournament, between Chris Benoit and Pierroth Jr . . . Megumi Kudo and Madusa will meet in a non-title match . . . Cactus Jack will team up with Mr. Danger to face Sabu and Leatherface . . . and in the feature match, Terry Funk gets another shot at Mike Awesome and Mr. Pogo, this time with Hayabusa as his tag team partner.

CHRIS BENOIT beats PIERROTH JR via pinfall after dropping Pierroth right on the back of his head and neck with a Dragon Suplex, then bridging into a pin. With the win, Benoit earns 2 more points in the tournament.


- JOEY talks about the round-robin tournament to crown the first International Jr. Heavyweight Champion. He says that, with Benoit’s win moments ago, that moves him into first place in the tournament, with Dragon Kid, Sabu and Tiger Mask IV all tied in second place with 6 points each.

FOOTAGE is shown of a recent match at a house show between Sabu and Chris Benoit. Benoit gets the win after getting his knees up as Sabu attempted a Moonsault, giving Benoit another 2 points in the tournament.

- FOOTAGE is shown from last week’s show, where Madusa came out during a tag team match involving the Women’s Champ Megumi Kudo. Madusa picked up the Women’s Title belt, admiring it, which distracted Kudo and almost caused her to be pinned.


- We see pre-taped comments from MEGUMI KUDO, regarding her non-title match tonight against Madusa. Kudo promises a victory over Madusa.

- NON-TITLE MATCH:
MADUSA defeats MEGUMI KUDO via pinfall when, after a ref bump, Madusa bashed Kudo over the head with the Women’s Title belt.


- FRIGHT NIGHT ’95 CONTROL CENTER

JOEY is standing in front of a banner for Fright Night ’95. He says that W*ING USA makes their Pay-Per-View debut in two weeks, on Saturday night, October 27 with FRIGHT NIGHT ’95. The event will take place at the Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix, Arizona.

So far, the following matches have been signed:

* The Headhunters will defend the Brass Knuckles Tag Team Titles against Masato Tanaka and Miguel Perez Jr!

* Madusa, due to her win the non-title match earlier, will challenge Megumi Kudo for the Women’s Title!

* Chapparita Asari meets Ultima Tigerita!

* Sabu takes on a man he’s wrestled several times in the Michigan / Ohio area, Al Snow!

* The W*ING International Jr. Heavyweight Title will be defended!

* Cactus Jack teams up with “Mr. Danger” Mitsuhiro Matsunaga to take on Mr. Pogo and Leatherface in a GRAVEYARD DEATH MATCH, the most sadistic, diabolical wrestling match ever conceived!

* Terry Funk challenges Mike Awesome for the W*ING International Heavyweight Title!


- A VIDEO is shown of AL SNOW, featuring clips from several promotions, including matches against Sabu in the early 90s in Michigan and Ohio.


- CACTUS JACK & MITSUHIRO MATSUNAGA defeat SABU & LEATHERFACE. These two teams give the fans their money’s worth here, as they brawl in and out of the ring, and hit each other with anything they can get their hands on!

Late in the match, while Matsunaga brawls with Leatherface, Cactus gets the upper hand on Sabu, and hits the Double-Arm DDT, leading to the pinfall.


After the match, the Sinister Minister leads Mike Awesome and Mr. Pogo to the ring, where they, along with Leatherface, gang up on Matsunaga and Cactus. A group of babyfaces, led by Terry Funk, Hayabusa, Miguel Perez Jr and Masato Tanaka, hit the ring and make the save.


- MR. POGO & MIKE AWESOME (w/ The Sinister Minister) defeat TERRY FUNK & HAYABUSA. The match ends when the Sinister Minister takes a stick with a towel tied to the end of it, lights it on fire, and hands it to Mike Awesome. Awesome then proceeds to BLOW FIRE at Terry Funk, setting Funk’s shoulders and head on fire! OH MY GAWWWWD!!!!

The referee immediately stops the match, as medical personnel hit the ring and cover Funk’s head and back with towels.

While that’s going on, Awesome and Pogo gang up on Hayabusa, hitting him with the Awesome Bomb!


- JOEY can’t believe what we’ve just witnessed, he says that Awesome might have seriously injured Funk, he could have KILLED him!

JOEY then wraps up the show, and hypes next week’s show, which will feature a round robin tournament match between Dragon Kid and Tiger Mask IV, Mike Awesome against Al Snow in a non-title match, and a big 11 man Battle Royal!

JOEY says that Wrestling International New Generations is the only place where you’ll see such extreme action as the clips we just saw, or a wrestler being set on fire, as Terry Funk was last week! He says that the wrestlers here in W*ING USA put their careers and LIVES on the line each and every time they step in the ring, just to entertain the fans!


- MADUSA & SHARK TSUCHIYA defeat CHAPPARITA ASARI & MEGUMI KUDO via Count-Out after Tsuchiya takes a bat wrapped in barbed wire that she brought to the ring with her, and batters Asari on the floor, leading to her being counted out. Asari is a mess afterwards, and has to be helped from the ring.


- JOEY talks about the round-robin tournament to crown the first International Jr. Heavyweight Champion.

We go to pre-recorded comments from Sabu, along with Paul E. Dangerously. Paul E. says that Sabu will win the match tonight, and go on to face Benoit next week for the title. He talks a little about past history between Sabu and Benoit, and says that Sabu will be the first W*ING Jr. Heavyweight Champ!

We then go to comments from Dragon Kid, who promises a victory tonight over Sabu.


- ROUND-ROBIN TOURNAMENT MATCH:
SABU (w/ Paul E. Dangerously) beats DRAGON KID via pinfall after the Arabian Facebuster. With the win, Sabu moves into second place in the tournament, and he’ll face Benoit for the title on next week’s show.


FOOTAGE is shown of last week’s show, where Terry Funk’s head and shoulders are set on fire by Mike Awesome!


- JOEY interviews TERRY FUNK at ringside. FUNK talks about the incident last week, and says that while his doctors and his family are suggesting he take some time away from wrestling, he can’t let Awesome get away with what he did last week.

JOEY says that Funk is scheduled to face Awesome at Fright Night on Pay-Per-View next Saturday night. FUNK says that he will wrestle the match, but he went to Victor Quinonez, and he asked him to make a small change to the match . . . he wants the match to be a FIRE MATCH!

This brings MIKE AWESOME and THE SINISTER MINISTER out to ringside.

THE SINISTER MINISTER is not pleased about this, saying that there’s no way Awesome should have to get into the ring with a maniac like Funk in a FIRE match! He says that Funk doesn’t want to win, he just wants to injure and maim Mike Awesome, and there’s no way Victor Quinonez should authorize that!

AWESOME doesn’t care, he says that Funk can add all the stipulations he wants, it won’t change the final outcome, and that is that Awesome is going to kick Funk’s wrinkled old ass all over the Maryvale Baseball Park! Awesome says that he’ll set Funk on fire again, and then go out and bury him in the desert afterwards!

FUNK and AWESOME stand nose to nose. Awesome hauls off and takes a swing at Terry, but the Funker is ready, and he fights back with rights and lefts that have the International Champ reeling!

MR. POGO rushes down to help his tag team partner and stablemate, but just as he arrives on the scene, CACTUS JACK, AL SNOW and HAYABUSA charge down to ringside!

The Sinister Minister and his men retreat, Funk, Cactus, Snow and Hayabusa stand side by side at ringside, calling for them to come back and fight!

STYLES says that it looks like we’re going to have a FIRE MATCH as the main event for Fright Night next Saturday night on Pay-Per-View!

MIKE AWESOME (w/ the Sinister Minister) defeats AL SNOW. Snow gets his first high profile match since coming to W*ING USA, as he takes on the International Champion in a non-title match. Snow gets plenty of offence in, and nearly puts the Champion away on more than one occasion, but in the end, Awesome takes control of the match, and delivers the Awesome Bomb, followed by the top-rope Awesome Splash, for the pinfall victory.


- FOOTAGE is shown from last week’s show, where Cactus Jack and Mitsuhiro Matsunaga took on Sabu and Leatherface.

JOEY says that Cactus and Matsunaga will take on Leatherface and Mr. Pogo in a GRAVEYARD DEATH MATCH next Saturday night at Fright Night 1995!

- PROMO from TERRY FUNK, standing in the ring in a dark arena, with the ropes replaced by barbed wire that has been set ablaze. Funk talks about the pain he felt when Mike Awesome set him on fire, then talks about the pain that Awesome is going to experience tomorrow night on Pay-Per-View! Funk takes his branding iron, and holds it to the flames, setting it on fire as well, as says that it’s going to be a hot time tomorrow night on Pay-Per-View!


- JOEY interviews International Champion MIKE AWESOME, along with THE SINISTER MINISTER at ringside.

AWESOME talks about Terry Funk, and the promo that we just saw from Funk. Awesome says that Funk should have learned his lesson and just stayed away, but Funk, the idiot that he is, came back and now Awesome is going to make him suffer. He’s going to take Funk and hold his face in the flames! He says that Funk will leave the ring a beaten, burnt, disfigured shell of what he once was!

VANDENBERG says that Funk’s career will come to an end tomorrow night in Phoenix, live on Pay-Per-View for the entire World to see!

JOEY talks about Vandenberg’s other wrestler, Mr. Pogo, teaming up with Leatherface tomorrow night to face Cactus Jack and Mitsuhiro Matsunaga in a Graveyard Death Match.

VANDENBERG laughs, and says that Pogo and Leatherface wanted the match to take place in an actual graveyard, the only way to win being to bury Cactus and Matsunaga alive! But, when Cactus Jack heard that, he ran, trembling with terror, to Victor Quinonez and begged and pleaded with him to put a stop to it. Victor Quinonez, a man who’s sole purpose in life is to suck up to guys like Cactus Jack and Terry Funk, gladly changed the match.

VANDENBERG then says that now, the match will take place in the ring, where the purpose of the match will be to lock your opponents in two caskets. He says that after Pogo and Leatherface lock both Cactus and Matsunaga in the caskets, he’s going to SET THEM BOTH ON FIRE!!!


- JOEY talks about the round-robin tournament to crown the first International Jr. Heavyweight Champion. He says that Sabu and Chris Benoit were the two top finalists of the tournament, and now, they’ll meet to crown the first Champion!


- FOR THE VACANT INTERNATIONAL JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE:
CHRIS BENOIT beats SABU (w/ Paul E. Dangerously) via pinfall to win the title. It’s a hard-fought match that sees both men get in plenty of offence, but in the end, Benoit gets the upper hand, and drops Sabu right on the back of his head with a vicious Dragon Suplex for the 1, 2, 3!


- FRIGHT NIGHT ’95 CONTROL CENTER

JOEY is standing in front of a banner for Fright Night ’95. He says that W*ING USA makes their Pay-Per-View debut next Saturday night, October 27, with FRIGHT NIGHT ’95. The event will take place at the Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix, Arizona.

The following matches will take place:

* Dean Malenko wrestles the Great Sasuke!

* The Headhunters will defend the Brass Knuckles Tag Team Titles against Masato Tanaka and Miguel Perez Jr!

* Megumi Kudo will defend her Women’s Championship against Madusa!

FOOTAGE is shown of a Fire Death Match that took place in the W*ING promotion in Japan in 1992 between Mr. Pogo and Mitsuhiro Matsunaga.

WING - Mr. Pogo vs Mitsuhiro Matsunaga (Gasoline Fueled Fire Death Match) 8-2-92


- CHAPPARITA ASARI defeats SHARK TSUCHIYA. Asari is looking for payback after being rendered a bloody mess last week during a tag team match. Tsuchiya pounds away on her smaller opponent, and at one point, she batters Asari with a chair outside the ring. In the end, though, when Tsuchiya goes for the Powerbomb, Asari turns it into a huracanrana, and then hooks Shark’s arms for the 1, 2, 3!

Tsuchiya throws a fit, and attacks Asari with a clothesline from behind as Asari was getting her hand raised. Shark pummels her, then tosses Asari out of the ring.


- JOEY is joined by GARY HART who will provide commentary with him for the next match.


- NON-TITLE BARBED WIRE BOARDS DEATH MATCH:
THE HEADHUNTERS defeat MASATO TANAKA & MIGUEL PEREZ JR. The match is a wild, bloody affair, as both teams are quick to use the barbed wire boards as weapons on their opponents. Within the first four or five minutes of the match, all four men are bleeding! Hart, on commentary with Joey, brags about his team, the Headhunters, and puts them over as the toughest team in wrestling today! The match ends when the Headhunters slam Perez onto one of the barbed wire boards, then lay the other one on top of him. One of the Headhunters then delivers a Moonsault, sandwiching poor Miguel Perez between the barbed wire boards! The other Headhunter then runs the ropes and delivers a Splash for good measure before covering Perez for the 1, 2, 3.


- JOEY takes a few minutes to hype tomorrow night’s FRIGHT NIGHT Pay-Per-View, focusing on the Funk – Awesome Fire Death Match, and the Graveyard Death Match between the team of Cactus Jack and Mitsuhiro Matsunaga and the unholy duo of Mr. Pogo and Leatherface! He puts over Cactus and Matsunaga as two of the most hardcore wrestlers on the planet, but says that Mr. Pogo is no slouch either, as he’s been known to use knives, swords, machetes and other instruments of torture to render his opponents a bloody mess!


- FOOTAGE is shown of Megumi Kudo and Madusa in action, to hype their World Women’s Championship match coming up at Fright Night.


- NON-TITLE MATCH:
MIKE AWESOME (w/ the Sinister Minister) defeats HAYABUSA. Hayabusa throws caution to the wind, wowing the fans with his wild, high-flying style. Unfortunately, it’s not enough for him to put Awesome away, as the Champion, who has seemed practically unstoppable since coming to W*ING USA, wears Hayabusa down, and delivers the Awesome Bomb for the 1, 2, 3!

Afterwards, Awesome takes the mic from the ring announcer, and says that he’ll end Terry Funk’s career at Fright Night!


- CACTUS JACK & MITSUHIRO MATSUNAGA defeat MR. POGO & LEATHERFACE (w/ The Sinister Minister) via pinfall when Cactus hits Leatherface with the Double-Arm DDT onto a chair and pins him.


- JOEY wraps up the show, and hypes tomorrow night’s FRIGHT NIGHT ’95 Pay-Per-View.

JOEY STYLES opens the show at ringside, and welcomes us to Wrestling International New Generations, on Pay-Per-View for the very first time, for FRIGHT NIGHT 1995!

JOEY hypes the show, especially the double main event, featuring two of the most extreme death matches ever devised . . . the Graveyard Death Match and the Fire Death Match!


A MONTAGE is shown of the wrestlers that will be competing on tonight’s show, set to Deep Purple’s “Perfect Strangers”.


THE GREAT SASUKE defeats DEAN MALENKO in a battle of two of the top Jr. Heavyweights in the World. Sasuke gets the pinfall with the Thunder Fire Powerbomb.


JOEY interviews the new W*ING International Jr. Heavyweight Champion CHRIS BENOIT at ringside. BENOIT talks about his match coming up with Hayabusa tonight for the Jr. Heavyweight belt, saying that he’s been impressed with what he’s seen of Hayabusa, but Benoit believes that he’s in a league of his own, and he’s not about to give this belt up to Hayabusa, or anyone else.

HIGHLIGHTS are shown of Benoit beating Sabu for the title last night on W*ING “Danger Zone”, and then clips are shown of Hayabusa in action as well.

JOEY hypes that match, saying it could steal the show.


JOEY then walks over to a familiar face in the front row . . .



CARLOS COLON!


JOEY welcomes Colon to the show, and puts Colon over as one of the biggest names in wrestling history, he’s the biggest star to ever come out of Puerto Rico.

COLON says that he’s no stranger to hardcore wrestling, and he’s been hearing nothing but good things about W*ING USA, so he thought he’d make the trip to Phoenix to check it out in person!

JOEY says that it’s great to have a legend like Colon on hand before heading back to the commentary location.


CHAPPARITA ASARI defeats ULTIMA TIGERITA in a clean, scientific match between the two friends. Asari gets the win with the Skytwister Press. The two women shake hands afterwards, with Tigerita then raising Asari’s arm in victory.


JOEY puts over the women’s action here in W*ING USA, and says that they still have the big Women’s Title match coming up, as Madusa challenges Megumi Kudo for the belt.


W*ING BRASS KNUCKLES TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH:
THE HEADHUNTERS (Champs) (w/ Gary Hart) defeat MASATO TANAKA & MIGUEL PEREZ JR (Challengers). Perez stops to shake hands with his long-time friend Carlos Colon, with Carlos wishing him and Tanaka luck in the match. It’s a brutal, hard-hitting affair that sees plenty of double-teaming from the Headhunters. In the end, the Champions come away with a victory after both Headhunters hit a Splash / Legdrop combo on Perez and Headhunter B pins him to retain the belts.


HIGHLIGHT VIDEO airs, showing what led up to the Megumi Kudo – Madusa match.


MADUSA cuts a backstage promo, saying that Kudo’s not in Japan anymore, she’s in the USA, and Madusa’s the Queen around here! She says that she’ll mop the floor with Kudo, and claim her rightful spot as Women’s Champion of the World!

WORLD WOMEN’S TITLE MATCH:
MEGUMI KUDO (Champ) defeats MADUSA (Challenger) in a fast-paced, hard-hitting match after pushing Madusa off the turnbuckle as Madusa attempted to superplex Kudo, then followed it up with a dropkick from the top. From there, Kudo hit the Kudo Driver for the pinfall.


AL SNOW defeats SABU via pinfall after connecting with the Snow Plow brainbuster.


JOEY hypes some of the upcoming events from W*ING USA. He says that they’ll be at the Sun Devil Gym in Tempe, Arizona tomorrow night for a “Danger Zone” taping. On that show, the Great Sasuke will face the winner of tonight’s Jr. Heavyweight Title match in a non-title bout, the top women stars will all be in action, and two wrestlers will make their W*ING debuts, Crush, and a man known as the Atomic Titan! Then they’ll be in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Halloween night for a big non-televised event.


W*ING INTERNATIONAL JR. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH:
CHRIS BENOIT (Champ) defeats HAYABUSA (Challenger) via pinfall. Benoit got his knees up as Hayabusa attempted a Moonsault, then Benoit connects with his Dragon Suplex, dropping Hayabusa right on the back of his head and neck. That’s all she wrote, and Benoit is successful in his first defence of the Jr. Heavyweight Title.


HIGHLIGHTS of what led up to the Graveyard Death Match air.


CACTUS JACK and MITSUHIRO MATSUNAGA cut a pre-taped promo, hanging out in a cemetery at night. They talk about the Graveyard Death Match, and what they’re going to do to Leatherface and Mr. Pogo. Matsunaga says that he and Jack are the kings of hardcore wrestling, and they’ll prove it when they step into the ring with Pogo and Leatherface.


THE SINISTER MINISTER and MR. POGO are hanging out in a stairway. They talk about the match coming up, and Vandenberg promises that Pogo and Leatherface will destroy Cactus and Matsunaga in the Graveyard Death Match.

At that point, LEATHERFACE storms into the shot, flailing the chainsaw around wildly! The Sinister Minister laughs, and says that Cactus and Matsunaga’s worst nightmare is about to become a reality!


GRAVEYARD DEATH MATCH:
CACTUS JACK & MITSUHIRO MATSUNAGA defeat MR. POGO & LEATHERFACE (w/ The Sinister Minister). Two large wooden coffins, painted black, are brought out and set up on opposite sides of the ring. On two sides of the ring, the ropes have been taken down, replaced with strands of barbed wire. Outside the ring, on the opposite two sides of the coffins, are stacks of bricks, with barbed wire laid over the piles.

The two teams don’t waste any time, they tear right into each other as soon as the bell sounds. Cactus is the first one to feel the barbed wire, as he’s whipped into it by Pogo. Mr. Pogo, the sadistic bastard that he is, then grabs Jack’s head and RAKES IT ACROSS THE BARBED WIRE!!!! After that, Cactus is bleeding quite heavily.

Matsunaga saves his tag team partner, hitting Pogo with one of the bricks that he had brought into the ring after slamming Leatherface into the pile on the floor.

Neither team seems to have any interest in trying to put their opponents in the coffins, it seems as though they’d rather torture their opponents!

Late in the match, Cactus brings a chair into the ring, clobbers Leatherface repeatedly with it, and then drops the chair and hits the Double-Arm DDT onto it. Cactus drags Leatherface towards one of the coffins, while at the same time, Matsunaga drops Pogo with a Jumping Piledriver. Cactus pushes Leatherface into one coffin, and Matsunaga dumps Pogo into the other, and both men slam the lids shut.

As Cactus and Matsunaga celebrate in the ring, CARLOS COLON leaves his seat and climbs into the ring. It looks like he’s going to congratulate them . . . but then he drops Matsunaga with a clothesline and then lays into Cactus with rights and lefts, knocking him out of the ring. Colon puts the boots to Matsunaga, before taking the house mic from ring announcer Billy Anderson.

Colon says that for the last few years, all he hears about is this “Mr. Danger”, and how he’s the new king of hardcore. Colon says that HE’S the true king of hardcore wrestling, he was wrestling in fire matches and barbed wire matches long before Matsunaga got into wrestling.

At that point, Cactus Jack climbs back into the ring and confronts Colon, but Carlos sucker punches him, and then DDT’s Cactus onto the chair that Jack had used to batter Leatherface moments before.

Colon says that Jack and Matsunaga are nothing but a couple of punks who want to try to take what he’s done, and claim it for themselves. He drops the mic on Cactus’ chest, and stomps Matsunaga a few more times, then leaves the ring to a chorus of boos from the Phoenix fans.


FOOTAGE is shown of the match at W*ING Take Off ’95 between Mike Awesome and Terry Funk, where Awesome became the first W*ING International Champion. From there, we see footage of Awesome and Pogo setting Funk’s head and shoulders on fire. The video ends with footage of Funk challenging Awesome to a Fire Death Match!


NO ROPE BARBED WIRE FIRE DEATH MATCH:
MIKE AWESOME (w/ The Sinister Minister) defeats TERRY FUNK. For this match, the ropes around all four sides of the ring have been replaced with barbed wire. There are poles attached to the wire, with towels wrapped around the top of them, that are then set on fire.

The two men batter each other from pillar to post, both men are sent into the barbed wire several times. Within minutes, both men are bleeding heavily.

Late in the match, the Sinister Minister gets involved, as he takes another towel, wraps it around a chair . . . then SETS IT ON FIRE!!!

Vandenberg then tosses the chair into the ring, where Awesome grabs it and hits Funk over the head with it, then drops it on the mat . . . AND DELIVERS AN AWESOME BOMB RIGHT ONTO THE FLAMING CHAIR!

Awesome kicks the chair aside, and covers Funk for the 1, 2, 3!

Funk is in a lot of pain, but he’s able to leave the ring on his own, as Awesome and Vandenberg celebrate in the ring.


JOEY wraps things up, and reminds the fans to tune into W*ING “Danger Zone” next Friday night at 10pm on MTV for all the fallout from Fright Night 1995!

JASON THE TERRIBLE (w/ Leatherface) defeats MIGUEL PEREZ JR. Jason is accompanied to the ring by Leatherface, who chases the fans around ringside with his chainsaw prior to the start of the match. Perez gives Jason a tough fight, but in the end, Jason connects with a kneedrop off the top rope for the pinfall at 7:23.


CHAPPARITA ASARI beats ULTIMA TIGERITA in a friendly face vs face match via pinfall following the Skytwister Press at 10:25. The two women embraced afterwards, with Tigerita raising Asari’s arm in victory.


EL PANDITA defeats SUB-ZERO. El Pandita is decked out in a black and white outfit with a Panda Bear mask that is similar in style to the Tiger Mask masks. Sub Zero is dressed like the character from the Mortal Kombat games. Pandita gets the win at the 10-minute mark after delivering a Samoan Drop, then connecting with a running splash off the ropes.


SHARK TSUCHIYA & MADUSA defeat MEGUMI KUDO & BISON KIMURA via pinfall when Tsuchiya pinned Kimura at 13:02.


ATOMIC TITAN defeats ATSUSHI ONITA via pinfall after delivering a Powerbomb for the pin at 9:48.


#1 CONTENDERS MATCH:
AJA KONG defeats COMBAT TOYODA. Kong is recognized as one of the biggest names in women’s wrestling, and she shows why here, as she takes Toyoda apart, and hits a Northern Lights Suplex for the win.


CAPTAIN’S FALLS STREETFIGHT MATCH:
TERRY FUNK (Captain) & CACTUS JACK & MITSUHIRO MATSUNAGA & HAYABUSA defeat MIKE AWESOME (Captain) & MR. POGO & CARLOS COLON & LEATHERFACE. The stipulation of this Streetfight is that it will continue until one captain pins the other or forces them to submit. There are several pinfalls throughout the match, by both teams, but the Captains aren’t involved. That changes at around the 23-minute mark, when Terry Funk drops Mike Awesome with a Piledriver onto a steel chair for the pinfall to win the match.

Mitsuhiro Matsunaga and Carlos Colon took themselves out of the match fairly early, when they brawled backstage and didn’t return.
