- JOEY STYLES is standing at ringside at the Agricultural Hall in Allentown, PA.

JOEY says that Wrestling International New Generations has arrived in the United States, and “Danger Zone” is on the air! He thanks the fans for tuning into the debut episode of W*ING USA Danger Zone, and then talks a little bit about the W*ING promotion, which started in Japan, and is considered one of the most revolutionary promotions in wrestling history!

JOEY then hypes tonight’s show . . . a round-robin tournament starts tonight, to crown the very first W*ING International Jr. Heavyweight Champion, and the main event will feature a singles match a long time in the making, between two stars that American fans are very familiar with, Cactus Jack and the suicidial, homicidal, genocidal maniac, Sabu!


- JOEY interviews W*ING President VICTOR QUINONEZ at ringside.

VICTOR talks about W*ING coming to America, and says that the first big event will take place on Saturday night, September 29 in Pittsburgh, PA. The event will feature a 20 man Battle Royal, which will include all the top stars of the W*ING USA promotion, and the final two remaining participants will then square off, one on one, in the main event of the evening to crown the very first W*ING International Heavyweight Champion!

QUINONEZ then holds up a Championship belt, the W*ING International Jr. Heavyweight belt, and says that it will be awarded to the winner of a 6-man round-robin tournament. Victor announces the names of the 6 men that will take part in the tournament . . . Chris Benoit (Canada), Dean Malenko (USA), Pierroth Jr. (Mexico), Tiger Mask IV (Japan), Ray Gonzalez (Puerto Rico) and Sabu (USA)

The first two matches of the tournament will take place tonight, as Benoit meets Ray Gonzalez, and Malenko squares off with Pierroth Jr.


- JOEY then talks about one of the most popular tag teams in wrestling, the Mack Daddies of Violence, Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge, the Public Enemy!

We see a video of Public Enemy, set to Ini Kamoze’s “Here Comes the Hotstepper”

After the video ends, “Here Comes the Hotstepper” continues to play in the building, and PUBLIC ENEMY come to the ring, dancing to their theme music, as usual.


- THE PUBLIC ENEMY (Rocco Rock & Johnny Grunge) beat THE GANGSTAS (New Jack & Mustafa) in a wild match that sees plenty of brawling inside and outside the ring. Late in the match, GEDO and JADO make their way out and watch from the aisleway. They taunt Public Enemy a bit, but leave ringside just as Rocco Rock hits the Drive-By on Mustafa for the pinfall.


- JOEY interviews former NWA World Champion TERRY FUNK and CACTUS JACK at ringside.

CACTUS and TERRY talk about the show coming up on September 29, and the big Battle Royal used to determine the top two contenders, who will then face off for the W*ING International Heavyweight Title. Cactus thinks it will come down to him and Funk, and says that when that happens, all bets are off! Terry laughs and tells Cactus to bring it on.

FUNK then talks about some of the talent that has joined W*ING USA, including some Japanese wrestlers that he knows very well, such as Mr. Pogo and “Mr. Danger” Mitsuhiro Matsunaga. Funk says that he looks forward to wrestling all the top names here in W*ING USA.

CACTUS talks about his match coming up a little later with Sabu, saying that they’ve wrestled each other twice before here in the US, and each man won one match, so this will be their rubber match.


- ROUND-ROBIN TOURNAMENT MATCH:
CHRIS BENOIT beats RAY GONZALEZ via pinfall after dropping Gonzalez on his head with a brutal Dragon Suplex. Benoit – 2, Gonzalez – 0.


- CLIPS are shown of several of the women wrestlers of W*ING in action. We see short clips of Madusa, Women’s Champion Megumi Kudo, Combat Toyoda and Ultima Tigerita and Manami Toyota.


- JOEY interviews MR. POGO and his manager “THE SINISTER MINISTER” JAMES VANDENBERG.

VANDENBERG says that Pogo dominated the W*ING promotion in Japan for years, and he’s going to do the same thing here in the US. Pogo is the most feared wrestler on the planet, and the only enjoyment he gets in life comes from making his opponents bleed.

Pogo is carrying a stick with a towel wrapped around the end of it. He takes a lighter, lights the towel on fire, then takes a swig of something, and blows a giant fireball into the air!

VANDENBERG says that things are about to heat up in W*ING USA, and laughs maniacally as the segment ends.


- ROUND-ROBIN TOURNAMENT MATCH:
DEAN MALENKO battles PIERROTH JR to a 10-minute time limit Draw. The action was fast-paced, going back and forth for the entire time limit. The time ran out just as Pierroth had hit Malenko with a sitout Powerbomb. Malenko – 1, Pierroth – 1.


- CACTUS JACK beats SABU via count-out.

Sabu and Jack put on a fast-paced, hard-hitting match for the fans, as both wrestlers put their bodies on the line to entertain. Sabu hits all his usual daredevil moves, with Jack more than holding his own, hitting an elbowdrop all the way from the top rope to a fallen Sabu on the floor! The match ends when Sabu has Jack up against the guardrail outside the ring, and attempts a Moonsault from the middle rope. Jack moves out of the way, and Sabu lands, on his ribs, on the guardrail.

Jack rolls back into the ring, but Sabu is unable to get back in, and Jack is awarded the match via count-out.


- JOEY wraps things up, and hypes next week’s edition of the “Danger Zone”, where the round-robin tournament will continue!

- Joey Styles opens the show by hyping the big event coming up next Saturday night in Pittsburgh, the W*ING Take Off ’95. On that show, 20 of the top wrestlers in the World will compete in a 20 man Battle Royal, and the final two competitors will square off, one on one, later in the night to determine the first W*ING International Heavyweight Champion!

- We see a video of the reigning W*ING Brass Knuckles Tag Team Champions The Headhunters in action, including footage of them winning the titles earlier in the year at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

- Footage is shown of Public Enemy’s match last week, where Gedo and Jado came out and watched. Gedo and Jado are interviewed, where they come out in New York Yankee baseball caps and wearing baseball jersey, referring to themselves as AMERICA’S TEAM. They declare themselves the top dogs in W*ING USA, telling PE that their time has passed and they need to step aside.

Rock and Grunge confront them, and a tag team match is signed between the two teams for next week’s show.

- A vignette airs, featuring the White Ninja, Shinobi. Shinobi doesn’t talk, but the voice-over says that he’ll be coming to W*ING USA shortly.

- A vignette airs of Hayabusa, set to his theme from Japan, “Fight With Dream”.

- Cactus Jack and Terry Funk are interviewed, about the upcoming Battle Royal next Saturday night in Pittsburgh.

- Mike Awesome is interviewed, and he’s joined by the Sinister Minister James Vandenberg and Mr. Pogo. Vandenberg says that he’s brought together the two most destructive forces in wrestling, in Mike Awesome and Mr. Pogo, and he guarantees that one of them will leave Pittsburgh next Saturday night as the new Champion.

- Footage is shown of Victor Quinonez announcing the Round-Robin tournament for the W*ING International Jr. Heavyweight Championship, as well as footage of last week’s matches between Dean Malenko and Pierroth Jr, and Chris Benoit and Ray Gonzalez. Joey says that Gonzalez suffered a neck injury after that brutal suplex from Benoit, and has been removed from the tournament.

Joey then introduces the man that will take Gonzalez’s place, he goes by the name Dragon Kid. His outfit is similar to that of the Ultimo Dragon, who Kid says that he grew up idolizing, but now, his talents far surpass those of his idol, and now he’s ready to win this tournament, claim the International Jr. Heavyweight Title, and take his place as the #1 Jr. Heavyweight wrestler in the World today.


TV MATCHES:

- Tiger Mask IV def. Sabu in a Round-Robin tournament match. Tiger Mask walks out with 2 points, while Sabu has none.

- W*ING Brass Knuckles Tag Team Champions The Headhunters def. Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney when Headhunter A put Rotten through a table with a Moonsault, then Headhunter B dove off the opposite turnbuckle and delivered a diving headbutt, leading to the pinfall.

- W*ING Kanemura def. the Masked Viper via pinfall after a Thunder Fire Powerbomb.

- Dragon Kid def. Dean Malenko in a Round-Robin tournament match. Dragon Kid gets 2 points, and Malenko still has 2.

- Terry Funk def. Mitsuhiro Matsunaga via pinfall after delivering a Piledriver onto a steel chair.


** I liked Commish's format for his USWA shows, so I figured I'd stea...er, borrow, the format for a couple of shows until I can get caught up.

JOEY thanks the fans for tuning in to the wildest hour of wrestling on TV, and gets right into hyping tomorrow night’s event, W*ING Take Off ’95, at the Sewall Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

A Promo airs for W*ING Take Off ’95, set to White Zombie’s “Thunder Kiss 65”. It advertises the following matches:

* Women’s action: Madusa vs. Manami Toyota!

* 6-man Tag Team action: Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko & Men’s Teoh take on the trio of the Great Sasuke & Tiger Mask IV & Atlantis!

* W*ING Brass Knuckles Tag Team Titles: The Headhunters defend the titles against Atsushi Onita & Mitsuhiro Matsunaga (replacing Tarzan Goto) AND the Hardcore Chair Swingin’ Freaks Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney in a 3-Way match!

* Return match: Cactus Jack and Sabu square off again after their inconclusive match last week!

* 20 man Battle Royal, where the final two competitors left in the ring will wrestle at the end of the night to crown the very first W*ING International Heavyweight Champion!

- JOEY talks about the tournament going on for the W*ING International Jr. Heavyweight Title, and talks about last week, where it was announced that Ray Gonzalez had been injured, but a newcomer known as the Dragon Kid will take his place in the tournament.

- ROUND-ROBIN TOURNAMENT MATCH:
DRAGON KID beats PIERROTH JR in an exciting, fast-paced match after hitting a Dragon Suplex with a bridge for the pinfall. Dragon Kid earns 2 points, while Pierroth still has 0.


- JOEY talks about a wrestler that has made a big name for himself in Japan, and he’s now come to the US to join W*ING USA. He’s known as “Mr. Danger”, Mitsuhiro Matsunaga!

- ROUND-ROBIN TOURNAMENT MATCH:
SABU (w/ Paul E. Dangerously) defeats DEAN MALENKO after moonsaulting Malenko through a table, then hitting the Arabian Facebuster for good measure. The Psycho Yuppie cheers Sabu on from ringside, and even interjects himself at one point, hitting Malenko over the head with his phone. Sabu earns 2 points for the victory, while Malenko still has 2.

After the match, PAUL E. cuts a promo on the other 5 competitors in the round-robin tournament, saying that Sabu will beat them all, and become International Jr. Heavyweight Champion!


- W*ING KANEMURA & MIGUEL PEREZ JR defeat THE KILLER KLOWNS after Perez reverses a suplex attempt by one of the Killer Klowns, and turns it into a Fisherman’s Suplex with a bridge for the pinfall.


- JOEY talks with MADUSA at ringside. Madusa says that Megumi Kudo may be a big deal in Japan, but here in America, Madusa is queen. She issues a challenge to Kudo for the World Women’s Title.


- ROUND-ROBIN TOURNAMENT MATCH:
CHRIS BENOIT beats TIGER MASK IV after dropping Tiger Mask on his head with the same Dragon Suplex that nearly ended the career of Ray Gonzalez. Tiger Mask lays, unmoving for a few minutes, but eventually is able to leave the ring on his own. Benoit earns 2 points for the victory, while Tiger Mask remains at 2.

- JOEY talks about Leatherface, saying that it’s only the end of September, but it looks like Halloween has come early. Joey then introduces a video of Leatherface taking on Terry Funk in a Chain match from Japan.

- GEDO & JADO defeat THE PUBLIC ENEMY when Jado forces Johnny Grunge to submit to the Crossface hold.


- JOEY wraps things up by interviewing CACTUS JACK and TERRY FUNK at ringside, but they’re interrupted by THE SINISTER MINISTER, MR. POGO and MIKE AWESOME.

AWESOME says that Funk is washed up, and Jack is nothing but a Mr. Pogo wannabe. He says that he and Pogo intend to prove that they’re the top wrestlers in W*ING USA, and if Jack or Funk get in their way, they’ll experience more pain and suffering than they ever thought possible!

The four men have a tense staredown as the show ends.

20 MAN BATTLE ROYAL
The 20 participants in the Battle Royal are: Cactus Jack, Mr. Pogo, Terry Funk, Mike Awesome, Headhunter A, Headhunter B, Miguel Perez Jr, Atsushi Onita, Mitsuhiro Matsunaga, W*ING Kanemura, Hayabusa, Leatherface, Dick Togo, Ricky Fuji, Axl Rotten, Balls Mahoney, Masato Tanaka, Riki Choshu and Pat Tanaka.

The first four or five minutes see several eliminations, as Tanaka, Choshu, Perez, Mahoney, Rotten and Fuji are all eliminated. From there, the massive Headhunters become targets of just about everybody else in the match. Some unlikely partnerships arise, such as Masato Tanaka and Mike Awesome working together to try and eliminate the twins from the Dominican Republic.

They are unsuccessful, and the Headhunters end up eliminating Tanaka, then they throw Dick Togo out as well. Then, out of nowhere, the current Brass Knuckles Tag Team Champs start BRAWLING WITH EACH OTHER!! The Headhunters tear into each other with wild abandon! These two are NUTS!

Onita and Matsunaga, two of the men that will challenge the Headhunters later in the show, take the opportunity to try and eliminate one of the Headhunters, but just as quickly as they started fighting each other, the Headhunters join together again to send Onita over the top and to the floor.

Funk and Cactus join up to try and eliminate Mike Awesome, but Mr. Pogo and Leatherface make the save. While that’s going on, Hayabusa eliminates W*ING Kanemura by hitting him with a dropkick, sending Kanemura backwards, and over the top.

Hayabusa helps Matsunaga, and they are able to eliminate one of the Headhunters. At that point, Leatherface and Cactus Jack join in, and finally they are able to send the other Headhunter over the top and to the floor. As soon as he hits the floor, Cactus and Leatherface tear into each other, brawling along the ropes. Cactus gets the upper hand, and starts to push Leatherface over, but suddenly, Mr. Pogo comes over and shoves both Jack AND Leatherface over the top.

While Pogo gloats, and taunts Jack on the floor, Hayabusa comes up behind Pogo and sends him over the top with a dropkick to the back of the head. Once Pogo hits the floor, Cactus pounces on him, and the two men brawl back to the locker room.

We’re down to four left in the ring: Terry Funk, Mike Aweosme, Mitsuhiro Matsunaga and Hayabusa. The final two will go on to compete in a one on one match later in the show to determine the first W*ING International Heavyweight Champion.

Funk, Hayabusa and Matsunaga all gang up on Awesome, but Awesome lives up to his name, by knocking all three of them to the mat. Awesome picks Matsunaga up, and sends him over the top rope and to the floor with an Awesome Bomb. Matsunaga has to be helped back to the locker room.

Hayabusa makes a mistake, going to the top rope. He dives at Awesome, but Awesome catches him, and then proceeds to dump him over the top as well.

The bell rings, ending the Battle Royal. Mike Awesome and Terry Funk will go on to fight later in the show for the vacant International Title!


MADUSA defeats MANAMI TOYOTA by pinfall after hitting several snap suplexes in rapid succession, then delivering the German Suplex into a bridge for the win.


THE GREAT SASUKE & TIGER MASK IV & ATLANTIS defeat CHRIS BENOIT & DEAN MALENKO & MEN’S TEOH. These six Jr. Heavyweight competitors give the fans their money’s worth with this one. Malenko and Benoit are their usual devastating selves, while the other four are flying all over the place. In the end, Sasuke gets the win for his team, hitting Teoh with the Thunder Fire Powerbomb for the pinfall.

After the match, Chris Benoit attacks Tiger Mask from behind while Tiger Mask, Sasuke and Atlantis are getting their hands raised. Benoit puts the boots to Tiger Mask, then drops him on his head with the brutal Dragon Suplex. Atlantis and Sasuke run Benoit off, then check on their fallen tag team partner. Tiger Mask is able to get to his feet, and Sasuke and Atlantis help him from the ring.


3-WAY MATCH FOR THE W*ING BRASS KNUCKLES TAG TEAM TITLES:
THE HEADHUNTERS defeat ATSUSHI ONITA & MITSUHIRO MATSUNAGA and AXL ROTTEN & BALLS MAHONEY
These six men are considered to be some of the most extreme wrestlers on the planet, and we see why in this match. They battle in the ring, around it, and even out into the crowd! Rotten and Mahoney live up to their nickname of the Hardcore Chair Swingin’ Freaks, as they both carry chairs to the ring, and batter the other two teams with them to start the match!

Matsunaga brought a toy with him as well, in the form of a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire! He uses it to batter the Headhunters, and quickly opens up a nasty gash on the head of one of the Headhunters with the bat!

Rotten and Mahoney are the first team eliminated, when Matsunaga sets up two chairs, facing each other, and Onita Powerbombs Rotten onto them, and then pins him.

From there, Onita and Matsunaga take the fight to the Headhunters. By this point, all four men are bleeding, Headhunter A is especially bloody after being battered with Matsunaga’s barbed wire bat early in the match. Despite that, the Headhunters end up coming away with the victory. As Headhunter B brawls in the aisleway with Onita, Headhunter A batters Matsunaga with the bat, then lays him across a table. The Headhunter then goes to the top rope . . . and MOONSAULTS MATSUNAGA THROUGH THE TABLE!!!

Matsunaga is out of it, and Headhunter A gets the pinfall to win the match and retain the Brass Knuckles Tag Team Titles!


SABU (w/ Paul E. Dangerously) beats CACTUS JACK. Jack and Sabu both put up a hell of a fight in this one. Here’s a visual of what the match would be like:

Sabu and Cactus both beat each other to a pulp, but despite Jack gaining control late in the match, Sabu gets the win after MR. POGO comes out and batters Jack with a chair, then drops it on the floor and proceeds to PILEDRIVE JACK ONTO THE CHAIR ON THE FLOOR!!!!

Pogo then throws Jack back in the ring, then tosses the chair in as well. Sabu takes the chair, hits the Arabian Facebuster, and pins Jack.

Pogo jumps into the ring and puts the boots to Jack after the match, while Sabu and Paul E. Dangerously head for the locker room.

Terry Funk hits the ring to help his friend, followed by Mike Awesome. The four men brawl in and around the ring, which leads us into our main event . . .


FOR THE VACANT W*ING INTERNATIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE:
MIKE AWESOME (w/ The Sinister Minister) beats TERRY FUNK to become the first W*ING International Heavyweight Champion.

Pogo helped Awesome get the upper hand on Funk while they were brawling after the previous match. Funk finds himself in a bad way as this match begins, and Awesome takes advantage, hitting one power move after another, trying to put the Texas Bronco away.

Funk won’t stay down, though. Even after being hit with the Awesome Bomb and the top-rope Awesome Splash, Funk kicks out and continues to fight back.

Late in the match, Mr. Pogo comes out, with a chair wrapped in a towel. He hands the chair to Awesome, who cracks Funk over the head with it, then Pogo takes a lighter and LIGHTS THE CHAIR ON FIRE!

Awesome then picks Funk up . . . AND HITS THE AWESOME BOMB ONTO THE FLAMING CHAIR!!!!

That’s all she wrote for Terry Funk, he’s hurt and hurt bad, and Awesome kicks the flaming chair out of the way, and covers Funk for the 1, 2, 3!

MIKE AWESOME IS THE FIRST W*ING INTERNATIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!

Several wrestlers, including Cactus Jack, Hayabusa and Mitsuhiro Matsunaga, come out to check on Funk as Awesome, holding the belt over his head, heads to the locker room with Pogo and the Sinister Minister.
