USWA Championship Wrestling
7/21/1995
Memphis TN
Hosts: Lance Russell, Dave Brown and Cory Maclin
MAJOR EVENTS:
*Cowboy Tony Falk opened up the show with his monster, the man known as Big Titan. Falk reveals this is the man who ran the Steiner Brothers out of AAA in California all by himself last year. Falk says he has demanded and received a rematch against Sycho Sid this Tuesday night and this time the Big Titan will be in his corner throughout the match. Later in the show, Sycho Sid called in and said he will destroy Tony Falk and then go nose-to-nose with the Big Titan this Tuesday night at the Coliseum.
*Jerry “The King” Lawler spoke to Lance and Dave about facing Bill Dundee in the finals for the Southern Heavyweight Title on Tuesday. Lawler says he and Dundee have gone round and round over the years, but the fans have always got their money worth. He’s sure this Tuesday will be no different, but will have eyes in the back of his head to deal with Jimmy Hart. Bill Dundee and Jimmy Hart were very cocky later in the program, when the Mouth of the South promised that he had a secret weapon that would guarantee that Dundee brought home the gold.
*Austin Idol was back in the studio and he says he has made it his life’s goal to knock Earthquake off the richter scale for once and for all. Idol takes about facing all the so-called giants from the past here in Memphis, including the Giant Hillbilly, Kamala and even King Kong Bundy. Idol says Earthquake is big, but he’s not any bigger than any of those men. It doesn’t matter that he has “the sniveling rat” Jimmy Hart in his corner because Idol has knocked him out more than a few times over the years. This Tuesday night, Austin Idol is going to prove why he is a living legend and Earthquake is just a big fat joke in this profession.
*Jim Cornette was out with his USWA Tag Team Champions Dr. Tom Prichard and Gigolo Jimmy Del Rey to gloat about injuring Timothy Well last week. Lance informs Cornette that Steven Dunn is not going to take this lying down and he apparently has called an old friend to come to Memphis to team with him. Cornette laughs this off and says the hospital here in Memphis better leave a bed open for whoever Steven Dunn brings in. This week at the Coliseum, the Heavenly Bodies will take on The Headbangers, who have earned a series of impressive wins. Cornette takes exception and says the one fight the Headbangers are clearly losing is the battle for their sanity if they want to take on the Heavenly Bodies. Jim says his Bodies might just pluck out Mosh and Thrasher’s nose rings for a little extra fun.
TV MATCHES:
1) PG-13 defeat Shannon Moore and Shane Helms at 5:03 when JC Ice comes off the second rope with a leg drop. Ice and Wolfie seemed more aggressive than usual in this match.
2) Austin Idol defeats Chris Frazier at 4:11 by forcing him to submit to the Las Vegas Lock Lock.
3) Bobby Bolton defeats Mike Samples at 7:45 when he came off the second rope with a dropkick. Bolton has a successful debut here in the USWA.
4) Kama Mustafa and D’Lo Brown (w/ Queen Shaniqua, Rakim B. Fine and Faarooq) defeat TD Steele and Flash Flanagan at 5:52 when Brown comes off the top rope with a frog splash on Steele. Faarooq gets on the microphone after the match and chastises Cory Maclin for being “the white man’s errand boy”.
5) Big Titan (w/ Cowboy Tony Falk) defeats El Santo Jr at 3:02 by planting Santo with a leaping tombstone pile-driver.

7/24/1995
1) Bobby Bolton defeats Tony Williams at 10:13 when he came off the top rope with a flying dropkick.
2) “Madonna’s Boyfriend” Louie Spicolli defeats TD Steele at 7:11 by dropping Steele head-first on the canvas with a Spicolli Driver.
3) Faarooq, Kama Mustafa and D’Lo Brown (w/ Rakim B. Fine and Queen Shaniqua) defeats Brian Christopher, Flash Flanagan and Phil Hickerson at 12:45 when Faarooq hit a spine-buster on Phil Hickerson to score the pin.
4) The Dirty White Boy defeats The Gambler at 6:34 with the Bucksnort Blaster. White Boy shook hands with the fans after the match.
5) Earthquake (w/ Jimmy Hart) defeats Austin Idol at 10:23 when he came off the ropes with a sit-down splash. Hart of course interfered by tripping Idol as he went for a big elbow smash. However, Idol shocked the crowd by kicking out of one sit-down splash. A frustrated Earthquake then hit a second splash to finally score the pin. Idol refused all help after the match, got back to his feet and vowed that this war is not yet over.
INTERMISSION
*The Headbangers were on their way down to the ring for their title match, but were attacked from behind by punk rockers Wild Side (Chris Champion and Mark Starr). The two teams brawled around ringside and eventually fought through the crowd to the dressing room. The Heavenly Bodies and Jim Cornette then came out and demanded a forfeit win, but Randy Hales said he had a team to face the Bodies. Two very special guests were visiting tonight, but they are ready to wrestle right here tonight:

IT’S THE FABULOUS ONES!!!!!!!!!
6) The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane) defeat USWA World Tag Team Champions The Heavenly Bodies (Dr Tom Prichard & Jimmy Del Rey) (w/ Jim Cornette) when Stan Lane connected with the super kick on Jimmy Del Rey to win the titles. Cornette was furious at this turn of events and kept screaming after the match that his men had been cheated.
7) Southern Heavyweight Title Final: Bill “Superstar” Dundee (w/ Jimmy Hart) defeats Jerry “The King” Lawler with the Bomb’s Away. The finish saw Hart distract the referee while Koko Ware emerged from the crowd dressed as a fan and bashed Lawler across the forehead with a camera. Dundee then hit the Bomb’s Away as Hart redirected the official to score the win. Jimmy Hart, Bill Dundee and Koko Ware celebrated after the match, while Jeff Jarrett ran down to check on the bloody Lawler.
8) USWA World Heavyweight Champion Sycho Sid defeats Cowboy Tony Falk (w/ Big Titan) at 8:45 by disqualification when Big Titan hit the ring and attacked him with a steel chair. Big Titan laid out Sid with the chair and then leveled him with a tombstone pile-driver. Big Titan and Cowboy Tony Falk leave Sycho Sid lying in the ring to close the show.
