LANCE RUSSELL: “Hello there everybody, I’m Lance Russell and I have to say I’m VERY proud to be back with Corey Macklin again. Corey, doesn’t it feel great to be back here at Channel Five calling the great USWA action again?”

COREY MACKLIN: “Lancer, it really is a pleasure! For fans that may notta heard and just stumbled across the show this morning, a merger has taken place in the world of professional rasslin’. Jerry Jarrett has organized a merger between Verne Gagne’s AWA and Randy Hales’s CWA to revive the United States Wrestling Association. That means Terry Gordy is recognized as the USWA World Heavyweight Champion and The Fantastics are the new USWA World Tag Team Champions. We’re gonna be back here each and every Saturday morning and back at the Mid-South Coliseum each Tuesday night!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “It is very exciting for me personally to be back here with you Corey and with all these great fans. And boy do we have a whale of a show for you today! You mentioned The Fantastics, Corey. They will be defending those titles against PG-13 on Tuesday night at the Coliseum. PG-13, of course, are reuniting and we all know what kind of a tag team they have been in the past. They’ll be here a little later on.”

COREY MACKLIN:: “Another huge match-up at the Coliseum will see the Battle of the Fabulous Ones. I never thought we’d see it Lancer, but Steve Keirn will face Stan Lane in a dog-collar death match! We’ll have more on that big card as we go today, but we have so much action for you. And Lance, I’ve heard the rumors, you’ve heard them, I’m sure: one of the biggest stars in the history of Memphis WILL be here in just a little while!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag just yet, Corey, but this is going to be big. Call your friends and family, this legend will be out here in just a few moments. Right now, though, let’s go up to the ring because the Hard Rock Express are ready for action!”

- 1 – THE HARD ROCK EXPRESS (David Morton & Michael Gibson) defeated THE MANGLERS (Destroyer & Punisher) at 6:34 when David Morton and Michael Gibson hit the stereo dropkicks on Punish to score the pin.

*The Hard Rock Express make their way over to the desk for an interview with Lance Russell and Corey Macklin.

COREY MACKLIN: “Gentlemen that was quite a showing. I have to believe the USWA World Tag Team Titles are in your sights after your recent wins over the Midnight Express.”

DAVID MORTON: “Absolutely, we have so much the respect for The Fantastics and we’d love the chance to face them in the ring. Michael and I are so happy to be here in the USWA and we just plan to keep rockin’ and rollin’ all the way to those title belts just like our brothers taught us.”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Alright gentlemen, thank…”

*A voice can heard off screen shouting “HOLD ON JUST A DAMN MINUTE” and the camera whips around to reveal:

*It’s Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson – THE ROCK N’ ROLL EXPRESS! Randy Hales is right behind them urging Morton and Gibson not to interrupt the segment, but Morton walks right past him and he’s clearly not happy. The Hard Rock Express look uneasy.

LANCE RUSSELL: “Well, this is quite a surprise! Ricky Morton, Robert Gibson, I’m assuming you two are here to support your brothers!”

RICKY MORTON: “Our brothers? Our BROTHERS? Man, me and Robert showed up today because we were excited about the return of the USWA and this is what we find. I got a question for the so-called Hard Rock Express, just WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?

*David Morton and Michael Gibson hang their heads in shame as Lance Russell and Corey Macklin share confused looks.

COREY MACKLIN: “Umm Ricky, I don’t quite understand…”

RICKY MORTON: “That makes three of us then, Corey Macklin, because these two punks aren’t our brothers. Robert and I have never seen these two before in our lives. What we have here Lance Russell and Corey Macklin is a grade-A scam – these two RIP-OFF ARTISTS are stealing OUR GIMMICK!”

DAVID MORTON: “Hold on. Listen, me and Michael didn’t want things to go like this. See Lance, Corey, it’s true, me and Michael aren’t RELATED to the Rock n’ Roll Express. The truth is, me and Michael grew up as the two biggest fans of the Rock n’ Roll Express. We went to see them every week at the Coliseum. They inspired us to become wrestlers.

“When Michael and I broke into this business, we wanted a way to honor the example Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson set for us. Maybe we went about it the wrong way by changing our names and trying to be something we weren’t. But the truth is we’re having success now and we’re carrying on the legend of the Rock n’ Roll Express as a tribute to these two great stars!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Ricky, Robert, they may have made some mistakes, but it sure seems like their hearts are in the right place.”

RICKY MORTON: “If you believe that, Lance, I’ve got some ocean-front property in Arizona I’d like to sell you. These two punks are nothing but thieves – they stole our gimmick for one reason: TO MAKE MONEY! But you know what, it’s the USWA’s first show back, it’s a celebration. Me and Robert are in a charitable mood. See, me and Robert could sue you or just beat you down.

“Today and today ONLY, we won’t do that… IF you get the hell out of the USWA, change your names back to what you were both with, AND STOP STEALING OUR GIMMICK! Offer stands just for today. Don’t be stupid. Come on, Robert!”

*The Rock n’ Roll Express walk off in a huff as David Morton and Michael Gibson stand around, looking ashamed and upset.

LANCE RUSSELL: “I dunno if Ricky Morton had to go THAT far, Corey.”

COREY MACKLIN: “Neither do I, but clearly a warning has been sent. OK, well we have to take our first break. We’ll be right back!”

*Landell struts in the ring as Lance Russell and Corey Macklin are joined by USWA World Heavyweight Champion Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy, who enters to ‘Bad Street USA’!

COREY MACKLIN: “Wellllllll here he is – THE WORLD CHAMPION!!!! TERRRR-AH ‘BAMM BAMM’ GORDY!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Terry, it’s not to see you! Certainly it’s very fitting for you to be here on the return of the USWA to Memphis!”

TERRY GORDY: “Corey Macklin, Lance Russell, you know I ain’t one who normally has much t’say! But I do wanna let all these people know how proud I am to be the World Champion! And I’m also very proud to be here in the USWA because I know that the roughest and the toughest are all here!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Speaking of rough and tough, they don’t get much rougher and tougher than your opponent on Tuesday night, the Ugandan giant Kamaaaaaala! Scott Bowden has brought Kamala back to the USWA and he has promised that the big man will defeat you for that World Title!”

TERRY GORDY: “Scott Bowden can say any thing he wants, but he ain’t no fortune teller! See, Kamala, he’s mean! He’s vicious! And he’s bigger than a damn freight train! But I ain’t no small fry myself, Lance! Scott Bowden, yer lookin’ at 290 pounds of rompin’, stompin’ graveyard destruction! It won’t be easy, not by a long shot, but I can beat Kamala! I WILL beat Kamala on Tuesday!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Thank you very much for being here today Terry – it’s going to a match that nobody will soon forget! Right now, as we go to break, let’s take a look at one of the all-time greats. LANCE RUSSELL: “That’s right! These great fans are excited, I’m excited, I know you’re excited. Right now, let’s bring out probably the most popular wrestler to ever compete in the Memphis area. Please welc…”

*Lance Russell stops mid-sentence and off-camera we can here some cheers. The camera pans around to reveal THIS MAN walking towards the broadcast desk.

IT’S BILL “SUPERSTAR” DUNDEE!!!!

*Bill Dundee smiles and waves to the fans as he walks to the desk and greets Lance Russell and Corey Macklin, who both seem surprised to see him.

BILL DUNDEE: “Corey, Lance, it’s nice to see you both! You promised the people a legend and here he is – the Superstar is back in Memphis baby! I’m very happy to be here in the USWA once again. There are lots of great stars here today and the Superstar wants to get in the ring with all of ‘em!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Bill, it’s nice to see you. I have to say, it certainly is a bit of a surprise to see you out here right now…”

BILL DUNDEE: “You promised the people a legend! Here he is standing before you today – like you said, the most popular star to ever step foot into the Memphis area.”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Bill, this is a little embarrassing, you know how much I’ve enjoyed watching you over the years. But Bill, I actually wasn’t referring to you.”

BILL DUNDEE: “… what? I don’t understand, I’m here Lance. I’m the living legend of Memphis. Who else could you have been referring to?”

*Lance Russell is clearly embarrassed and he glances back to Corey Macklin – who also looks uneasy. Bill Dundee is clearly getting a little impatient here… until the music starts playing in the studio!

*The studio audience are on their feet as Jerry “The King” Lawler makes his first appearance in a Memphis studio in almost a year and a half! Lawler shakes hands with the fans, Corey Macklin and Lance Russell as Bill Dundee stews over by the desk. Jerry Lawler walks up and offers a hand-shake to Bill Dundee, who just stares angrily at him! Lawler shrugs him off and joins Lance for an interview!

LANCE RUSSELL: “That’s right – Jerry THE KING Lawler is back here in the USWA! And Jerry, I have to say, this is an incredible moment for me to be a part of!”

JERRY LAWLER: “Lance, I was going to come out here and talk about how excited I am to be back in the USWA, but that just seemed like an understatement. What I really mean is that I’m very excited to be… HOME!”

*An angry Bill Dundee can be heard off-microphone shouting, “Oh bull!” Lawler and Lance both look at him confused so Dundee steps up to the microphone.

JERRY LAWLER: “Dundee, you got something you want to say? I noticed you snubbed me there when I tried to shake your hand.”

BILL DUNDEE: “Yeah Kingfish, I have something to say! How dare you come out and here and upstage me? You have stolen my moment, Lawler! This whole show was built around my return to Memphis and you stole the thunder!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Bill, I tried to explain earlier, but that isn’t actually the case. The truth is, we didn’t expect you to be here today. This segment was supposed and is Jerry Lawler’s return to the USWA.”

BILL DUNDEE: “Let me get this straight. I WASN’T the legend you were talking about? What the hell did you have planned for me?”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Like I said Bill, we didn’t expect you today. We were going to show a special music video about your career, like we’ve done for Handsome Jimmy Valiant and Austin Idol.”

BILL DUNDEE: “Unbelievable! I can’t believe this. You know something Lawler, you’ve been trying to steal my spotlight for 20 years and you’ve done it again!”

JERRY LAWLER: “Calm down, Dundee. I didn’t try to steal nothin’ from you. Nobody expected you to be here today. The truth of the matter is, we didn’t expect you’d WANT to be here since you’ve been doing behind-the-scenes work for the AWA.”

BILL DUNDEE: “I’m glad that you brought that up. See Lawler, unlike YOU, I’ve been here in Memphis the past two years. I may not have been wrestling as much, but I was organizing AWA shows to entertain these people while you were busy with your fancy ECW contract! You abandoned these people – I was here all along! And a damn music video is all I get for it?”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Awe come on, Bill! There’s no need for this!”

JERRY LAWLER: “No, Lance, Dundee brings up a good point. He’s right, I have been wrestling up in the USWA. But throughout the last year and a half, I’ve been in constant negotiations with the AWA to come back here to Memphis. Jerry Jarrett was representing me, but we kept running into AWA ‘executives’ who kept blocking a contract from being signed because of small details.

“I’m starting understand what really happened. I think we can all see Dundee that you’re as jealous as ever of me. You tried to block me from coming here, until the merger left you with no more power. Isn’t that right, Dundee?”

BILL DUNDEE: “I didn’t want ye here! I don’t want ye here now!”

JERRY LAWLER: “Well, Dundee, it looks like it’s that time again. I don’t have a match yet for the Mid-South Coliseum. I was just going to sign autographs for the fans. But you know, after I sign that autographs, how about you and I step into the ring and go at it one more time?”

BILL DUNDEE: “You got yourself a deal, Lawler! I beat Jerry Lawler more times than any other wrestler and Tuesday night I’ll do it again! I’m going to send ye right back to ECW!”

*Bill Dundee storms off as Jerry Lawler chuckles a little.

LANCE RUSSELL: “Well, that was quite an announcement! Bill Dundee and Jerry Lawler are going to go at it again this Tuesday night! Jerry, that argument aside, it’s great to have you back. Would you join us for the rest of the show.”

JERRY LAWLER: “I sure will, Lance! What’s next?”

LANCE RUSSELL: “It was supposed to be a special tribute to Bill Dundee. I guess we have to show it anyway. Fans, take a look at this music video and remember PG-13, Jeff Jarrett and Tommy Rich are all still to come!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “It’s wonderful to have you back here Jerry. Jeff is back as well. I wish it was as nice to see Bill Dundee, but I’ll leave it at that.”

JERRY LAWLER: “Like I said, it’s incredible to be back and I know Jeff Jarrett feels the same way. You know Lance, Jeff Jarrett and I were one of the great tag teams of all-time here in the USWA. We might just go after those belts that The Fantastics hold, but before us, PG-13 are getting a shot on Tuesday night. I think everybody knows how good PG-13 have been in the past.”

COREY MACKLIN: “Speaking of PG-13, they are up next. Let’s go up to the ring right now!”

-3- PG-13 (JC ICE & WOLFIE D defeat TD STEELE & FLASH FLANAGAN at 7:12 when Wolfie D comes off the top rope with the flying leg drop to pin Flash Flanagan.

*PG-13 make their way over to the broadcast booth after the match.

LANCE RUSSEL: “It’s nice to see you both here! JC, I know your dad was causing problems out here earlier, I hope you will be a little more calm.”

JC ICE: “Lance, you know I stopped trying to get a handle on Bill Dundee a long time ago. He’s my dad, you’re right, but the one thing Bill Dundee cares about more than anything else is Bill Dundee. Jerry, I hope you bash his damn brains out on Monday night”

LANCE RUSSELL: “It’s a sad situation between you two JC, but you have other business to end to. PG-13 has reunited – it’s big news. Because of your history and past success, you both get a shot at the USWA World Tag Team Champions on Tuesday night against The Fantastics!”

WOLFIE D: “We got all the respect in the world for Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers, but the respect goes out the window when the bell rings, Lance. We’re coming for a fight and we’re coming to take back those World Tag Team Titles!’

LANCE RUSSELL: “Best of luck to you both on Tuesday. Right now, let’s take a look at two more competitors for the big Battle Royal. It’s The MOOOOOOOOOOONDOGS!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Well, this man needs no introduction! Jeff, you have been all over the place in the NWA and in WCW. It’s great to have you with us here this morning.”

JEFF JARRETT: “First off, Lance it’s honor to be here with you, Corey Macklin and The King! Like Jerry said, this is my home and this is where I am staying from now on! I also excited to be a part of that big battle royal on Tuesday night because I want to win a crack at the USWA World Title.”

LANCE RUSSELL: “I think it’s fair to say that you are one of the odds-on favorites.”

JEFF JARRETT: “I don’t mean to boast, but I think you’re right. Don’t misunderstand me. There’s lots of dangerous wrestlers in there. You got Jos LeDuc and Phil Hickerson, ‘Dangerous’ Doug Gilbert, The Stomper, The Moondogs! Tommy Rich is in there as well and I always like the chance to give him a good butt-whipping! I know it’s going to be a long night but I think I can win it, Lance!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “I wish you all the best, but right you have a match in the ring with a very capable young competitor – Scott Studd!’

JEFF JARRETT: “It’s a thrill to be back here at Channel Five and I can’t wait to get back in the ring. In fact, I’m going to go do just that right now!”

- 3 – JEFF JARRETT pins SCOTT STUDD at 8:44 when Jarrett comes of the second rope with the flying knee drop.

*Jeff Jarrett shakes hands with the fans around ringside as the camera pans back to the broadcast booth. SCOTT BOWDEN is standing by with Lance Russell and he is his usual boastful self.

LANCE RUSSELL: “We saw Scott Bowden earlier, but he’s back now to talk about bringing in Kamala to challenge USWA World Champion Terry Gordy!”

SCOTT BOWDEN: “That’s right! The Ugandan Giant is coming back to the USWA and on his first night back, he will destroy Terry Gordy for that title. See my uncle Bobby Bowden came over to my house in Germantown a few months when the rumblings of the USWA’s return were first being heard and he told me to go find the most dangerous rassler in the world to manage.

“Most idiots would have tried to get some wrestler from the WWF or the GWF, but I’m too smart for that. See I didn’t need a wrestler – I needed a monster! So I called my close personal friend Jack Hana and he took me to the jungles of Africa. That’s where I found Kamala and I’ve brought him back to the USWA to get that USWA Title!”

JERRY LAWLER: “Am I the only one who finds the image of Scott Bowden on safari hilarious?”

LANCE RUSSELL: “I wasn’t going to say anything, but now that you mention it King…”

SCOTT BOWDEN: “King, I just want to say, I’m NOT happy you’re back. I hope Bill Dundee knocks your block off on Tuesday! And YOU Lance Russell, if I were you I’d watch it because I could very easily have Kamala roast you alive. Although the fire might become uncontrollable due to the all the leftover alcohol in your liver!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “That’s enough, Bowden! Get out of here!”

*Scott Bowden scurries off with a big shit-eating grin on his face!

JERRY LAWLER: “You know Corey, every time Scott Bowden speaks, I lose a little faith in humanity!”

COREY MACKLIN: “I hear ya, King. I hear ya!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “All right, coming up next is Tommy Wildfire Rich, but first let’s take a look back at The Fabulous Ones, Steve Keirn and Stan Lane. These two used to be the best of friends and one hell of a tag team, but they recently have gone to war with each other. Tuesday night, they’ll settle their differences in a Dog-Collar Death Match! TOMMY RICH: “Everybody out there, time to wake mamma and the babies because Wildfaaaar is back here in the USWA and that means excitement, baby!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Tommy, this Tuesday at the Mid-South Coliseum, you will be taking part in the big Battle Royal. The winner of that match will get a guaranteed title shot at the USWA World Title!”

TOMMY RICH: “I’ll tell you what, somebody say somethin’ about the World Heavyweight belt? Not many people know what it’s like to be World Champ, Lance Russell! I do! And I want it back! I heard Jeff Jarrett out here earlier say he is going to win the whole thing. He said he could take on The Stomper, The Moondogs and ol’ Wildfaaar all by himself!

“Is this kid crazy, Lance? Does know what he’s done? He just called out Tommy Rich and you ask PG-13 what happens when you call out Tommy Rich! Hell, you can ask Jerry Lawler! Go ahead ask him Lance!”

LANCE RUSSELL: “Tommy, I don’t think anyone needs proof of how tough…”

TOMMY RICH: “Sounds like a big-talking, sissy boy like Jeff Jarrett needs some proof! Tell ‘em King! Tell ‘em how I done whooped ya all over the Mid-South Coliseum time after time!”

*Jerry Lawler snickers and stands up.

JERRY LAWLER: “Tommy Rich, you’re right! You did knock me around a few times, but I did the very same to you! I recall sending you out of here in a Loser Leaves Town match years ago so I don’t know what you’re doing here. I know for a fact that Bill Dundee is fixin’ to send you out of the Coliseum on Tuesdee night and I for one will be there to cheer him on, ya hear! And as for Jeffrey Jarrett, he might just be in the hospital bed next to ya when the night is over!”

*Tommy Rich throws down the microphone and walks off, not before taunting several fans seated around the ring. Lance, Corey and The King send it up to the ring for our studio main event.

- 4 – MR. HUGHES & JACK VICTORY (with Missy Hyatt) defeat HIGH VOLTAGE (KENNY CHAOS & ROBBIE RAGE) at 9:21 when Mr. Hughes pins Robbie Rage with the side-walk slam.

*As Lance goes to sign off, we can hear “THAT’S IT- I’VE HAD ENOUGH” being shouted from off-camera. Oh no – Bill Dundee is back out here and he is heading straight for Jerry Lawler! Lawler stands up, but Dundee sucker punches him! Now Dundee and Lawler are brawling all over the ring ringside area! Jerry Lawler hurls Bill Dundee into the ring and levels him with a right hand and then a big atomic drop!

HERE COMES TOMMY WILDFIRE RICH!! Rich hits the ring and blind-sides Lawler from behind. Tommy is now stomping on The King and is joined by a flustered Bill Dundee. Rich now picks Lawler up and holds him in position for Dundee’s right cross, BUT JEFF JARRET HITS THE RING!!!! THIS REALLY IS MEMPHIS TV WHEN YOU GET AN AUTHENTIC STUDIO BRAWL LIKE THIS ONE!!!!!

JARRETT IS SLUGGING AWAY ON WILDFIRE TOMMY RICH, HE DROPKICKS RICH OUT TO THE FLOOR! NOW LAWLER AND JARRETT GO TO SHOOT BILL DUNDEE OFF THE ROPES, BUT TOMMY RICH GRABS DUNDEE AND PULLS HIM OUT TO THE FLOOR!!!!

*LANCE RUSSELL and the returning DAVE BROWN welcome the crowd to the return of the USWA to the Mid-South Coliseum. There’s a tremendous card in store the fans tonight, which is set to kick off momentarily. Lance and Dave remind fans to tune into USWA Championship Wrestling this Saturday morning for all the fall-out and the line-up for next week’s Mid-South Coliseum card! Dave Brown mentions that we saw the returns of Jerry “The King” Lawler and Jeff Jarrett on Saturday, but there’s another star who is returning to the area. It’s non other than “Too Sexy” Brian Christopher! Christopher makes his way out and slaps hands with the fans around ringside and then enters the ring.

-1- ”Too Sexy” Brian Christopher pinned Intern #2 at 7:34 when he came off the top rope with the flying leg drop to score the pin. Christopher got on the microphone after the match and said he’s wrestled a lot of places, but the USWA home and he’s always happy to be home.

-2- ”Five Star” Al Snow pinned Scott Studd at 11:23 when he connected with a spring-board clothesline off the top rope to render Studd unconscious. Snow did not endear himself to the crowd before or after the match. He stoppe at several occasions to look at round at the fans and mock individuals seated in the audience.

-3- Two Ring Battle Royal - Legends Vs. Newcomers: The rules state that there are 15 men in each ring. Once we’re down to the final man in each ring, those two will then battle to a pin or submission to determine who gets the USWA World Heavyweight Title match at a later date.

We’re now down to the final two men, with Buddy being joined at ringside by his manager Scott Bowden. Dirty White and Buddy Landell have a gold ole southern brawl that goes all over the ringside area. The finish sees Dirty White Boy tripped by Scott Bowden as he comes off the ropes. Anthony grabs Bowden and pulls him up on the apron, but Landell connects with a knee to the back, rolls him up and hooks the tights to steal the win! Buddy Landell wins the USWA World Title shot! The Dirty White Boy tries to explain to Frank Morrell what happened, but it’s too late.

WINNER: BUDDY LANDELL

-4- The Hard Rock Express (David Morton & Michael Gibson) defeated Tony Falk & California Stud at 10:23 when Morton and Gibson connected with the stereo dropkicks on Tony Falk to score the pin.

*The Express’s victory celebration was cut short when they were confronted by Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson, the Rock n’ Roll Express. Ricky reiterates that he gave them fair warning to stop stealing the RnR’s gimmick and yet they are still keeping up the charade. Michael Gibson gets on the microphone that he and David represent the real Rock n’ Roll Express ideals, which Ricky and Robert have abandoned. Michael says and David earned their names so they will be keeping them!

Ricky Morton doesn’t like that one bit so he blasts Michael Gibson across the forehead with the microphone! Robert Gibson then attacks David Morton, throwing him out the floor and posting him. Ricky and Robert then throw the bloody Michael Gibson onto the ringside announce table! Morton pulls Michael up into position and Robert helps him SPIKE-PILEDRIVER Michael through the table!

Lance Russell and Dave Brown are calling for help here – we all know how dangerous the piledriver is! The move is banned here in the USWA! Ricky Morton snatches the microphone away from Lance and shouts that he gave these punks fair warning! The Rock n’ Roll Express then walk off angrily as medical help arrives to load poor Michael Gibson onto a stretcher as his partner David Morton is helped up.

INTERMISSION

-5- PG-13 (JC Ice & Wolfie D) defeated USWA World Tag Team Champions The Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton) at 15:12 when Wolfie D pinned Bobby Fulton with the handman’s neck-breaker. We have new tag team champions! JC Ice and Wolfie D jump into the crowd to celebrate with the fans after the match.

-6- In a dog-collar death match, Steve Keirn pinned Stan Lane at 12:45 when he wrapped the chain around his hand and belted Lane with it. This one saw The Fabs fight all over the ringside area, through the crowd, into the concession stands and back into the ring. After the match, Steve Keirn put the past aside and helped his bloody ex-partner to his feet. Lane and Keirn then shook hands and left the ring together.

-7- Jerry “The King” Lawler pinned Bill “Superstar” Dundee at 14:45 when he came off the second rope with big fist drop. This one was a great brawl between the two top stars in Memphis ever, with Dundee nearly scoring the win after coming off the top rope with a flying knee drop. The match ended when Dundee pulled a small chain out of his tights and tried to conceal it from the referee. However, the chain got stuck on the drawstring of his tights and Dundee tried desperately to pull it off! This allowed Lawler to belt him with a right hand, suplex him and hit the first-drop to make a successful return to the Mid-South Coliseum.

*The aftermath saw a furious Bill Dundee claim to referee Jerry Calhoun that Jerry Lawler PLANTED the chain on him! Dundee then stormed over to Lance Russell and Dave Brown, grabbed the microphone and said he’d had enough of the “dirty rotten cheater” Jerry Lawler! The Superstar insisted that he’s not done with Jerry Lawler yet and stormed off to the dressing room.

-8- USWA World Heavyweight Champion Terry Gordy pinned Kamala (w/ Scott Bowden) in 10:04 when he come off the ropes with a big leg drop. Kamala dominated early, but Gordy would not stay down. The champion eventually fought his way back and applied the Asiatic Spike submission hold! Kamala never submitted, but he was severely weakened. Gordy eventually drilled him with the big boot and hit the leg drop to retain the gold!

*Terry Gordy celebrated with his gold after the match, but Buddy Landell made his way down to the ring to join his manager Scott Bowden. Landell got in Gordy’s face and even slapped the champion, but leaped immediately out of the ring and ran up the aisle. A furious Terry Gordy gave chase, but couldn’t catch Landell. Lance Russell and Dave Brown then wrapped up this tremendous show and urged everyone to tune into Championship Wrestling this weekend!

*The opening video fades into the studio where the camera pans the audience and then sends us over to LANCE RUSSELL and DAVE BROWN! Dave apologizes for missing last week’s return of the USWA, but he was thrilled to be at the Mid-South Coliseum on Tuesday and he’ll be here each and every week from now. Lance and Dave run down the results from last week’s Night of the Legends. They introduce a highlight package which includes: “Too Sexy” Brian Christopher returning to Memphis, Buddy Landell winning a two-ring battle royal to earn a title shot at Terry Gordy, The Rock n’ Roll Express brutally attacking The Hard Rock Express, Jerry Lawler defeating Bill Dundee and Terry Gordy retaining his title over Kamala. Lance says that we have “a whale of a show today”, including the announcement of Tuesday’s card at the Coliseum and USWA World Heavyweight Champion Terry Gordy defending against “The Missouri Tiger” Jeff Gaylord. Randy Hales joins Lance and Dave before the match to announce some major news, Buddy Landell will receive his title match against Terry Gordy this Tuesday night! Landell will of course have Scott Bowden in his corner, but Terry Gordy will have someone special in his corner as well! Randy promises more matches will be announced by the end of the hour.

The Rock n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) defeat Doug Basham and El Hacon at 6:33 when Morton comes off the top rope with a knee drop on El Halcon. Morton and Gibson seem to revel in the hostility from Lance Russell and Dave Brown as they enter the ring. The Rock n’ Rolls are more aggressive TAN usual, but that mean streak ensures that they pick up a very easy victory here today on Championship Wrestling.

*Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson then make their way over to the desk, where Lance Russell chastises them for pile-driving Michael Gibson through a table last Tuesday night. Morton tells Lance that he’s wrong again – there is no “Michael Gibson”! Ricky says he and Robert are just bowled over by how the people have reacted to them in the last week. They came by here last week to celebrate the return on the USWA, only to find out that the company had hired two imposters who stole the Rock n’ Roll Express’s gimmick! Then, Ricky was nice enough to give these two greenhorns a warning, but they just couldn’t listen so they ended up in a hospital! Lance clarifies that Michael Gibson is in a local hospital, but David Morton is not and he has asked for a match against the Rock n’ Roll Express this Tuesday! Ricky Morton scoffs at Lance and says if this so-called ‘David Morton’ didn’t learn his lesson the first time, the Rock n’ Roll Express will make sure he and whoever is dumb enough to team with him learns it on Tuesday night. Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson walk off chuckling as Lance and Dave send us to our first commercial of the morning.

*Jeff Jarrett joins Lance Russell and Dave Brown after the commercial to discuss Tommy Rich ruining his shot to win the Battle Royal last Monday night. Jeff talks about how he clearly rubbed Tommy Rich the wrong way last week by predicting he would win the Battle Royal, which he would have if Rich wasn’t such a sore loser. Jarrett says if Tommy Rich is looking to tango, he’s found himself a hell of a dance partner! Lance announces that Jarrett will face Tommy Rich this Tuesday at the Coliseum in a match that will certainly be dynamite. Jeff Jarrett tells Lance that ‘dynamite’ is certainly the right word because he’s about ready to explode. There’s nothing he wants more in this world than the USWA World Heavyweight Title and that was robbed from him by Tommy Rich. Jarrett says he knows Tommy is a former World Heavyweight Champion, but he will do everything in his power to ensure that Wildfire never holds the World Title again, starting Tuesday night at the Coliseum! Lance and Dave thank Jeff Jarrett for joining them and send up to ring announcer Corey Macklin.

”Too Sexy” Brian Christopher pins Chris Frazier at 4:02 after coming off the top rope with a flying leg drop. This was Christopher’s first televised match in the USWA in close to two years, but it looked as though he hadn’t missed a beat. Too Sexy took the fight to Chris Frazier from bell-to-bell, defeating the veteran Memphis jobber in a matter of minutes.

*Brian Christopher leaves the ring to shake hands with Lance Russell and Dave Brown. Both announcers welcome him back to the USWA and Brian says it’s great to see Lance and Dave calling Memphis Wrestling again! Lance announces that Tuesday night at the Coliseum, Brian will have a tough challenge because he’s been signed to face The Mongolian Stomper! Christopher talks about how heard some fans say The Stomper was too old before last Tuesday’s show, but the way he cleaned house proved that The Stomper is still as dangerous as ever! Christopher is going into this match expecting the worst, but he reminds The Stomper that Brian Christopher is no angel himself! Lance and Dave then show a replay of “Too Sexy” Brian Christopher coming off the top rope with the flying drop as they throw it to break.

*Scott Bowden is out at the desk as we come back and he’s annoying Lance and Dave as usual. Bowden calls out his #1 contender Buddy Landell, who enters the studio and taunts the fans sitting around ringside. The manager boasts that Terry Gordy has a less of a chance of retaining the USWA World Title on Tuesday than Dave Brown has of accurately predicting the weather! Dave rolls his eyes as Buddy Landell says he knows all about Terry Gordy and admits that any man who can beat Kamala is a great professional wrestling. However, Terry Gordy, as good as he is, is not on the level of The Nature Boy Buddy Landell! This brings out Terry Gordy, who has the USWA Title slung over his shoulder. Gordy outs over Buddy as the one true Nature Boy in professional wrestling, but then Terry quips that he has never been much for nature. Gordy says he saw Scott Bowden steal that win for Buddy Landell last Tuesday and he’s going to have a surprise person in his corner to make sure Bowden doesn’t stick his nose in! Gordy then walks off and shakes hands with a few fans. Scott Bowden seems manic for a few minutes, but that evil grin returns that his newest client is ready for action! Bowden unveils “the legend of the Pacific Northwest”, Billy Jack Haynes! Haynes comes storming into the studio and angrily throws a chair against the wall, before storming into the ring.

Billy Jack Haynes (w/ Scott Bowden) pins TD Steele by turning a Full Nelson into a slam that knocks the wind out of Steele. This is not the same kind Billy Jack that many fans remember from the WWF several years ago. Haynes rips into poor Steele by throwing TD around the ring as if he were nothing but a rag doll. Haynes continued the onslaught after the match by dragging TD Steele from the ring, through the backstage area and then throwing him out the exit door! Scott Bowden gloated as Billy Jack Haynes stormed back into the studio.

*Billy Jack Haynes is still angry as he snatches the microphone from Lance Russell and says nobody asks him questions! A lot of people want to know why Billy Jack would align himself with a man like Scott Bowden, well, first of all it’s none of their business! Billy Jack says he gave up caring about the professional wrestling fans think when he tried to open a nationwide chain of gyms, but none of these fat wrestling fans got off their asses to support him! Haynes promises that he will never sign another autograph, he’ll never shake hands with another wrestling fan! Billy says he’s not here in the USWA to hurt anyone – he’s here to maim them! He’s here to break his opponents’ necks! Billy Jack promises that he will take every championship he wants here in the USWA and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop him! He throws down the microphone and screams at the fans as Scott Bowden warns Lance Russell and Dave Brown not to get in Billy Jack Haynes’ face ever again!

*David Morton makes his way out to the studio as we come back. David tells Lance and Dave that his partner Michael is going to be out for quite some time thanks to the Rock n’ Roll Express! He wants to clear the air here – the world needs to know that his name is David Cash. He took the name David Morton because he once admired Ricky Morton, he doesn’t anymore! David says as well know he’s signed to face the Rock n’ Roll Express this Tuesday night, but obviously Michael Gibson won’t be his partner. David said he needs a partner who will fight without worrying about the rules, a man who will do anything to win. And he’s found that man! Lance Russell asks just who David Cash is talking about. David says this man has beaten everyone there is to beat here in Memphis! He’s won every single street fight he’s ever had! He’s the toughest man to come out of New York City! David then calls for the music and it’s the theme everybody in the studio and at home knows very well! Lance and Dave are on their feet because here is…

IT’S “HANDSOME” JIMMY VALIANT!!!!!!

David Cash and “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant defeat The Interns at 2:23 when Jimmy Valiant pins Intern #2 with the big elbow drop off the ropes! Valiant goes nuts in the ring as he works over both Interns, with Cash getting his shots in as well. Valiant eventually throws Intern #1 into Intern #2 and hits the patented elbow smash to score the easy pinfall victory!

*Jimmy Valiant is dancing around the studio to ‘The Boy From New York City’ after the match, giving kisses to members of the studio audience! The Rock n’ Roll Express angrily storm out and Ricky Morton shouts that he is not getting in the ring with a psychopath like Jimmy Valiant! Lance tells him the match is signed, Morton and Gibson will have no choice! By this time, Jimmy Valiant is back around the ring and charges over to the Rock n’ Rolls to put their dukes! Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson beg off as Jimmy Valiant walks over to the broadcast desk to give big, sloppy smooches to both Lance Russell and Dave Brown! Jimmy Valiant gives us a “Have mercy, daddy” and then he tells Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson that they are in for big trouble on Tuesday night when Handsome Jimmy comes to Mempho again! Jimmy Valiant then begins dancing around the studio again, with David Cash, Lance Russell and Dave Brown watching with amused smiles on their faces!

JC Ice says it shows just how good PG-13 is that they marched into the Mid-South Coliseum after not teaming for two years and won the USWA World Tag Team Titles from The Fantastics! Wolfie D agrees and says that momentum is going to carry on when they face Mr. Hughes and Jack Victory! PG-13 are then interrupted when Dr. Don Callis makes his way out from the dressing room! Callis says he has prepped Mr. Hughes and Jack Victory on Tuesday night, but he has much bigger plans for PG-13. He is convinced that Hughes and Jacko will win the gold, but that will be just be the beginning of PG-13’s agony! Callis knows he needs to make his mark in the USWA- there’s no better way of doing that than destroying the pillars of the organization starting with PG-13! Callis says very soon, PG-13 will have to face a fighting force like they never have before – The Truth Commission! Dr. Callis smiles and walks as JC Ice and Wolfie D tell Don Callis to bring on whoever he wants, but there’s team in this business badder than PG-13!

USWA World Heavyweight Champion Terry Gordy pins Jeff Gaylord at 9:23 after bouncing the Missouri Tiger off the canvas with a big power-bomb. Gaylord jumped Gordy as the champion entered the ring and really went to town on him in the opening moments. The Missouri Tiger landed a clothesline and a power-slam that netted him near falls, but Gordy was able to power out each time. Terry then blocked a running splash with a boot to the face, took over, and finished Gaylord off after a series of powerful maneuvers.

*Jerry “The King” Lawler makes his way out to the desk for our final moments to talk about his win over Bill Dundee. Lawler jokes about beating Dundee with Lance, saying that he only gave The Superstar what he asked for! This brings out an angered Bill Dundee, who accuses Lawler of planting a chain on his last Tuesday night. Lawler laughs this off, but Dundee says there’s nothing funny. Bill wants ANOTHER match with Lawler this Tuesday night to prove it was a total fluke. The King responds by saying he has nothing more to prove. Dundee is irate and he slaps Jerry Lawler right across the face! Lawler collars Dundee and says if The Superstar wants another beating, he’ll be happy to give it to him at the Coliseum! But this is it, when he beats Bill Dundee AGAIN, it will be onwards and upwards for The King! Dundee says it’s not going to happen like that – he’s going to show “The Kingfish” just who THE MAN is around here! Lawler and Dundee continue to argue, until several premlim wrestlers arrive to escort Dundee off the set.
