Dave Brown opened the show by welcoming the fans and introducing his very special guest for the evening, long time Memphis announcer, Lance Russell. Lance thanked Dave and said that it was great to be back. Russell said that he was looking forward to what was sure to be a 'whale of a night of action' and then dropped a bombshell by letting everyone know that he had spoken with Jerry Lawler and that 'the King' had said that he 'wouldn't miss it for the world' when Russell had informed him about the special presentation to long time area promoter Jerry Jarrett. Dave then said that Lawler hadn't made it to the arena as of yet, but that they would be sure to keep everyone 'up to date' as the night progresses. Lance and Dave then ran down the card and let the fans know that a Smoky Mountain Title match had been added to the card as Brian Lee would be defending against 'Wildfire' Tommy Rich. The two then went up to action in the ring with Lance providing the ring introductions...

1-'Nightmare' Danny Davis pinned Chic Donovan at 7:38 when Donovan set too soon for a back drop after a whip into the ropes and Davis countering with a sunset flip to get the fall. This contest was largely a scientific match with Donovan bending the rules some and Davis battling back in route to victory...

2-'Ragin' Bull' Manny Fernandez & Hector Guererro (w/Downtown Bruno) defeated the team of Bart Sawyer & Tony Falk at 6:45 when Fernandez pinned Falk following a 'flying burrito'. Downtown Bruno's team pretty much dominated this contest from start to finish, but the losing team was able to get in a little bit of offense whenever Sawyer was in the ring. Following the contest, Sawyer revived Falk, who then threw a temper tantrum and demanded the microphone...

-
TONY FALK: “Listen, I might have been a 'loser' ten years ago. In fact, I might have lost EVERY match, but Tony Falk isn't a “LOSER' now and there's no way I having all those guys in the locker room who have come back here tonight, after being gone a long, long time, think that I am... So GET ME SOMEONE ELSE OUT HERE and do it RIGHT NOW!”
-
-
After a few moments, Tony's eyes became as big as saucers as Sawyer stepped out of the ring and let Falk know that he was 'on his own' as the 'walking condominium' known as King Kong Bundy was making his way down the aisle. Tony panicked as he scurried around the ring not knowing what to do. Bundy then entered the ring and Falk went over and began pounding on him...BIG mistake!

3-King Kong Bundy pinned Tony Falk at 0:10 following an avalanche in the corner and a big splash. Falk was left 'flatter than a pancake'. I somehow don't think he will be demanding any more matches tonight...

It was now time to see Steve Keirn put his beard on the line for a chance at five minutes alone with Troy Graham as a team of Keirn's choosing would now be doing battle with Graham's Interns. Graham made his way out first IN A WHEEL CHAIR being pushed by one of the Interns. Lance called him on this saying that the last time he saw Troy in a wheel chair was 1985 and that it was 'all an act' back then too! Troy said that it wasn't an act and that all of the 'stress' that he had been put through leading up to this match had caused a 'RELAPSE OF HIS CONDITION' and that he was just 'SO WEAK', but that he was glad that he had the Interns here with him to 'Nurse him back to health' and because he just KNEW there was no way Keirn and his partner Stan Lane could ever beat them so he really shouldn't even have to worry about being in the ring with Keirn for '5 Minutes' in his, ahem... 'condition'.
This brought Keirn out, who asked Graham why he was so certain that he was going to be teaming with his Fabulous Ones partner Stan Lane. Keirn admitted that Stanley was the first person he thought of, but that just simply wasn't possible with Stan's busy schedule these days as one half of the UWF World Tag Team Champions. Keirn said that he had thought about calling in his mentor Jackie Fargo as well, but that Jackie's an 'old man' now and that even though Jackie was 'up for it' that it seemed more like 'cruel and unusual punishment' than an actual match. Steve said that got him thinkin', however, and when he thought about the toughest challenges ever to the Fabs only one team came to mind so he contacted them and they are here tonight to represent him. Two of the most 'cruel and unusual' dudes in all of pro wrestling.... The Moondogs! Graham panicked as he rolled around the ringside area and tried to get as far away from the Moondoggies as he could and cussing Steve Keirn all the while as he rolled away...

-
-
4-The Moondogs: Spot & Cujo (w/Steve Keirn) pinned The Interns #1 & #2 (w/Troy Graham) at 5:43 of a wild brawl when Spottie pinned #2 after hitting him with one of the Moondog 'dinosaur bones'. Graham had tried to slide a chain in to his man, but Keirn beat him to the punch by getting Spottie the bone just a split second sooner. Following the contest, Graham tried to wheel his way around ringside and past Keirn, but Steve ran him down and dumped Troy out of the wheel chair to begin his '5 minutes'...

-
5-Steve Keirn defeated Troy Graham in less than five minutes when Graham fled the ringside area with the help of his two Interns. Keirn battered Graham from 'pillar to post' for the time that he had them in the ring and gained a little bit of revenge for the time that Graham had punched out his dad 'back in the day'....

6-SMW Heavyweight Champion 'Prime Time' Brian Lee pinned former NWA World Heavyweight Champion 'Wildfire' Tommy Rich at 11:38 to retain the title when Lee hit a bulldog headlock to collect the fall. Rich looked out of shape compared to his 'glory days', but Tommy still put up a good fight in trying to wrest the championship away from the younger Lee. There were also a few times during the contest that Rich resorted to breaking the rules...
-INTERMISSION: SPECIAL PRESENTATION TO JERRY JARRETT-
Going into the intermission, Lance and Dave called out Jerry Jarrett and prepared to make a special presentation to him for all of his years of service as one of the top wrestling promoters in 'all the land'. This ceremony had barely gotten underway, however, before there were some unwelcome guests in the form of 'Superstar' Bill Dundee and 'Nature Boy' Buddy Landell...
-
-
BILL DUNDEE: “Now, now, Lancer... Why don't ye' step aside... Don't nobody want to listen to ye' talk anyways... and don't no body want to see you give no rinky dink trophy to some washed up bum... But fear not, me and Budro are here to save the day just like we did in the past when this promotion had gone to pot... That's right... Look who's here... US... Not Lawler... He didn't even bother to show up for your “Big Day”, but like I says... It's all gonna' be okay, Jack, 'cause ''the Super Star' and 'the Nature Boy' are here and you know what that means... IT'S TIME FOR THE BILL AND BUDDY SHOW!!!!”
LANCE RUSSELL: “Awe, now come on, Bill... We ain't got time for this... We are trying to make a presentation right here... Why you would think you'd have a little respect for the man that signed your checks all these years...”
BILL DUNDEE: “Not with what he was payin' me, BANANA NOSE!”
LANCE RUSSELL: “Awe, now come on... That was uncalled for!”
-
-
From there, Jerry Jarrett gets up in Dundee's face, but Landell quickly put an end to that by shoving Lance away and blindsiding Jarrett! Bill and Buddy then put the boots to Jarrett until Jerry 'the King' Lawler and Brian Christopher Lawler ran in to make the save...
-
-
JERRY LAWLER: “Well I see that not a lot has changed here in Memphis... As soon as I'm gone for any length of time then Dundee and his goons come in and think they can take over. Well not tonight, Superstar! Come on... How about it... One more time... 'The King' versus 'The Superstar'. I've got my gear... Brian's got his gear... and I'm sure that you guys came prepared so how about it? Tag Team match right here tonight!”
-
-
Dundee accepted and told Lawler that he just made the 'biggest mistake of his life' coming back here tonight as the card goes to intermission...

7-Koko B. Ware pinned Billy Joe Travis (w/Buddy Wayne) at 10:01 following a 'Ghostbuster' brain buster. Travis' former tag team partner Ron Sexton was the referee for this match and Travis and Sexton's former manager Wayne tried to take advantage of this fact, but Sexton stood tall and called the match down the middle, frustrating Travis and Wayne to the point that it left Billy wide open to Ware's attacks, which ultimately cost Travis the match...

8-The Mongolian Stomper battled Kamala (w/ Friday) to a double count out at 6:17 when both men brawled to the back. This match was an uncontrollable brawl with both men going right after one another even before the introductions could be made. Both men really proved why they were considered two of the wildest and toughest guys ever to come through the Memphis area...

9-'Handsome' Jimmy Valiant defeated 'Exotic' Adrian Street with a sleeper hold at 6:33. 'Exotic' Adrian can really wrestle, 'Handsome' Jimmy can't, so the end result, as you might can imagine, was by and large a comedy match that saw Street attempting to 'get inside' 'the Boogie Man's' head. 'Exotic' Adrian, however, found out that inside Valiant's head is one place you really don't want to be! The end came when Street kissed Valiant in an attempt to shock him and pick up a cheap victory, but it totally back fired as Valiant paused, smiled and then kissed Street back! Street then turned away in disgust and it left him wide open for Valiant's sleeper hold...

10-'The Universal Hearthrob' Austin Idol pinned 'Dirty' Dutch Mantel at 13:53 when Idol pinned Mantel with a roll up and a handful of tights. Both men battled 'tooth and nail' for over ten minutes as they paid very little attention to the rules as referee Jerry Calhoun seemed to be willing to let things go, given it was a big match. At one point, Idol attempted to post Mantel outside of the ring, but Dutch reversed it and it wound up busting Idol wide open. A few moments later, action spilled back into the ring, but Calhoun and Idol ended up colliding in the corner and Referee Calhoun was put out of action momentarily. It was at that time that Mantel saw an opening and went for his whip, 'Shoo Baby'. As Mantel reached through the ropes to try and grab his whip, Idol came up behind him and caught him for the roll up as Calhoun came around just in time to make the three count...

11-Jerry 'The King' & Brian Christopher Lawler (w/Jerry Jarrett) defeated 'Superstar' Bill Dundee & 'Nature Boy' Buddy Landell at 16:54 when Brian pinned Landell following a 'Tennessee Jam' from the top rope. This was a back and forth contest with Brian really 'earning his stripes' throughout the course of the match. Dundee & Landell were able to isolate 'the King' for a good portion of the contest and the place really came unglued when Jerry was finally able to make the hot tag into his son. From there both Lawlers really took the fight to Bill and Buddy with a series of big right hands and then by whipping both men into one another. From there, Brian went up top for the 'Tennessee Jam' which set up the fall, while Jarrett grabbed Dundee's leg and prevented him from making the save! Following the contest, Dundee threatened to punch out Jarrett, but 'the King' came up from behind Dundee and grabbed his arms! This left 'the Superstar' wide open for a slap right across the face from the hands of Jerry Jarrett! Dundee then turned around towards 'the King' following the blow and was met with a kick to the stomach and wait... he's signaling for it.... PILEDRIVER ON 'SUPERSTAR' BILL DUNDEE!!!

The night ended with Lance, Dave and most of the face locker room coming out and entering the ring to shake hands with Jerry Jarrett...
