12/1/94 - Madison Square Garden Felt Forum Manhattan, NY"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to the Madison Square Garden Felt Forum tonight on December 1st where ECW will be celebrating its one year anniversary with its first every Pay Par View Event; the ECW Wrestle Annual! They then run down tonight's card in which all the Titles are on the line. The Eastern States Champion "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam will defend his Title against the villainous Baron Von Raschke and his charge "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkieg, in a surprsing turn of events Women's Champion "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore will go one on one for that Title against Beulah McGillicutty; and the ECW Tag-Teams Championships will be on the line when Champions The Killer Bees go up against former Champions The New Orient Express. And in a huge Main Event; ECW Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage will face off against either "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin or "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson for the Title. Just which of these men will face the Champ will be determined here tonight in a Tournament Final # 1 Conder's Match earlier in the show.
Also on this epic card tonight; "The Maniac" Matt Borne will battle for the right to stay here in ECW when he meets up with Canada's Greatest Athlete "Iron" Mike Sharpe in a Loser Leaves Town Match. After tonight one of these two men will never be seen in Eastern Championship again! And in a match just signed last night we will witness Tag-Team action in a Steel Cage when "Wildfire" Tommy Rich and "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert meet Memphis rivals Jerry "The King" Lawler and his son Brian Lawler. All of this tonight here on PPV!
"White Train" by Tito & Tarantula sounds as ECW President Eric Bischoff swaggers down to the ring with Beulah McGillicutty, senior official Danny Davis; and Late Night's host Conan O'Brien and Andy Richter! Eric assures us that he won't be taking up much of our time. That he knows everyone is excited to see tonight's matches get underway. He then thanks us all for joining him here tonight for ECW's one year anniversary live on Pay Per View! He then says that seeing as Eastern Championship's ring announcer has gotten herself involved in a match here tonight; announcing matches here tonight will be the star of Late Night! At this point Andy Richter reaches for the mic but Bischoff shakes his head and tells him "Not you." He then starts again and says that tonight's matches will be announced by the star of Late Night himself; Mr. Conan O'Brien!
He then hands Conan O'Brien the microphone. Conan tells us that he's always been a big fan of wrestling and is excited to be here tonight. Especially being in the same ring with the beautiful Beulah McGillicutty. Grrr! He wishes Beulah luck on her match tonight and McGillicutty thanks him before kissing Conan on the cheek. He looks flustered. At ringside Lanny Poffo is jealous.
Eric then apologizes for interrupting the "happy couple;" but says he has a business to run here. He then reminds us that when we see Eric Bischoff in the ring; we should no business will soon follow. And tonight's business at hand is new ECW T-shirts! Of course. He shows us one for Wrestle Annual and several others. He then asks Andy Richter to unveil the last shirt. Andy unbuttons his shirt as Rick Rude's strip theme plays and Richter removes his jacket to unveil a new Rick Rude shirt! He then imitates Rude's dance. Eric tells him to stop it. It's too disturbing even for PPV. Lanny wants some eye bleach. They then leave the ring and Poffo and Okerlund begin talking about the first match scheduled tonight in which "The Maniac" Matt Borne faces "Iron" Mike Sharpe in a Loser Leaves Town Match. They remind us that according to this Match stipulation; one of these two men will never be seen in Eastern Championship again. They then talk about the feud between the two men which led to this; starting with Borne's abandoning Sharpe prior to a Tag-Team match after snapping "Iron" Mike's Canadian Flag over his knee. They talk about Sharpe interrupting Borne's Tournament match, Sharpe coming out and distracting him by singing the Canadian National Anthem causing him to lose the match; and the recent assaults by both men on one another since then. They remind us that given the nature of this match up; with their very livelihood on the line; Bischoff has made this a No Disqualification match. So anything goes. The Canadian National Anthem then hits.
Conan: The following Match is scheduled for one fall with the Loser having to leave Eastern Championship forever. Introducing first hailing from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada weighing 282 lbs.; he is Canada's Greatest Athlete "Iron" Mike Sharpe!
Sharpe comes down to the ring waving the Canadian Flag proudly. Generic metal music then hits as Matt Borne storms down the ramp.
Conan: And introducing his opponent this evening from Elwood City, Pennsylvania weighing in at 243 lbs.; he is "The Maniac" Matt Borne!Loser Leaves Town Match: Mike Sharpe vs. Matt Borne Neither Mike Sharpe or Matt Borne waste any time with pleasantries and before Danny Davis can even start the match the two big men charge one another. They begin trading punches in the middle of the ring and seem content in doing so until "The Maniac" whips Sharpe into the ropes and dumps him over to the outside with a follow up clothesline. Before Mike has a chance to recover, Borne climbs out onto the apron and leaps down onto Sharpe connecting with a leg drop. He makes the cover, but "Iron" Mike kicks out before Davis exits the ring and grabbing Borne by the hair staggers him with a headbutt. Getting to his feet "Iron" Mike begins pounding on Borne with punch after punch before striking with his knee and picking "The Maniac" up to his feet. Matt is in trouble as Sharpe whips him hard into the steel barricade. Hitting his back hard Borne growls in pain before walking right in Sharpe's clutches who nails him with a DDT on the floor. Mike makes the cover! 1!....2!... Borne kicks out! Grabbing his opponent by the feet, Sharpe slingshots Borne headfirst into the post splitting him open! "Maniac" Matt clutches the post for support as blood trickles down his face and when "Iron" Mike turns him about; Borne has a surprise for Sharpe as he grabs him and bites his face! He keeps biting until blood begins spilling from his mouth and Mike howls in pain. Davis finally manages to split the two men up; but the damage is done and "Iron" Mike's face is a crimson mask! Borne begins jabbing Sharpe in the face backing him up the ramp and pulling him in takes Mike down to the floor with a clothesline where he follows up with an elbow drop and a cover. 1!..2!.. Sharpe kicks out. Matt keeps up the assault choking Mike with his forearm while at the same time hammering his knees into Sharpe's abdomen. Mike is trying to free himself and manages to roll Borne over. He escapes over the guardrail and into the audience. Matt Borne is soon back on his feet and in pursuit. Before he can make it over the barricade however; Sharpe grabs a soda from one of the fans and douses "The Maniac" with it. Not knowing what it is Borne recoils; giving Sharpe enough time to grab a steel chair and slam him with it! Sharpe then climbs back over the barricade; chair still in hand and hits Borne with it again! He tosses it away and makes the cover. 1!...2!... Borne kicks out! Sharpe looks stunned by this and walks up the ramp to get the chair. Matt is back on his feet however and leaping at Sharpe tackles him pulling his legs out from under Canada's Greatest Athlete; who falls face first onto the chair! Matt Borne grabs the chair out from under Sharpe and stands above him ready to strike. On the ground "Iron Mike" is groggy but manages to kick his feet up into the air slamming the chair back into Borne's face. Matt goes down hard and rolls off the ramp. Meanwhile Mike Sharpe shakily gets back up to his feet. Blood is oozing from his mouth and he spits out a tooth as he stumbles down the ramp toward the ring. Behind him Matt Borne gets up on one knee and seeing Sharpe headed to the ring charges him and hits him from behind with a double axe handle. Mike turns about into a barrage of fists from "The Maniac" who whips Mike into the ring hard. He then slams Sharpe's face into the apron before rolling him into the ring. Climbing in himself Matt Borne hoists the battered Sharpe up to his feet and hammers his back and head before lifting him for a powerbomb. He runs into the corner and slams "Iron" onto the top turnbuckle! Sharpe flops around on the floor like a fish as Borne pulls him into the middle of the ring to make the cover. Davis is right there. 1! 2! Borne kicks out!3! Matt Borne is furious and pulling Sharpe up to his knees begins hammering him in the head with hard rights and lefts. In desperation Mike delivers a forearm to Borne's nut and clobbers him with a right hook! Matt Borne spins about as Mike Sharpe gets to his feet and runs the ropes; coming at Borne with a huge forearm smash! He makes the cover! 1!...2!...3! Sharpe has won it!
Victorious; Mike Sharpe's hand is raised in victory before he exits the ring and grabs his Canadian Flag which he waves mockingly at Matt Borne who is now going nuts in the middle of the ring. Borne is screaming that this isn't over! It's not! Security guards comes out for Matt Borne and he decks the first one who approaches him. He continues to attack them; but they get ahold of Borne and drag him from the building kicking and screaming.Backstage we see The Killer Bees who're apparently having an argument. As the camera gets closer B. Brian Blair is pissed at "Jumping" Jim Brunzell for leaving him stranded at the hands of The New Orient Express. He then rolls up his shirt sleeve and tells Brunzell just look what Fuji did to him! On his arm is a tattoo of as Bee with the words "Killer Cheats" written underneath!Just then Andy Richter walks by and stops to tell Blair that that's an awesome tattoo he got. Brian is in a foul mood over the incident and chases Richter off; threatening to punch his head in. Off-camera someone tells him that "the doughboy" was correct. Very cool tattoo.B. Brian Blair spins around and standing before The Killer Bees is The New Orient Express! Mr. Fuji tells him he has a very pretty bee on his arm and that they now look forward to a nice and honorable match against such amazing American Tag-Team Champions. He says his men Taka Michinoku and "Japanese Buzzsaw" look forward to taking those belts back and extinguishing their Title reign. Mwahaha. Blair goes to punch Fuji; but Brunzell holds him back and tells him to save it for the match.
We're then brought back to ringside where Lanny Poffo hails Mr. Fuji as a genius. Not as big a genius as Lanny though of course. Getting back on track Okerlund starts talking about the next match on the card; which he is pretty sure won't be quite as brutal as the one we just witnessed between Mike Sharpe and Matt Borne. He says that the two men in our next contest are two of the finest wrestlers to ever appear in the sport and are both masters in the art of technical wrestling; "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and "The Rugged One" Ron Garvin. He reminds us that this Match is the final round of the ongoing Tournament here at Eastern Championship Wrestling to determine the number one contender for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship here tonight. That while the Tournament involved every active member of the roster; it was these two men who battled there way to the end of it. And that the winner of this bout will face ECW Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage for the that Title here in tonight's Main Event.
Conan: The following is a Tournament Final # 1 Contender's Match; with the winner to face the ECW Heavyweight Champion later tonight. Introducing first from Rome, Georgia weighing 255 lbs.; he is "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson!
Arn comes down to the ring and shakes hands with both O'Brien and referee S.D. Jones.
Conan: And his opponent this evening hailing from Montreal, Quebec, Canada weighing 231 lbs.; introducing "The Rugged One" Ronnie Garvin!
Garvin comes down to the ring and throws his towel outside the ring before shaking hands with Jones, O'Brien; and finally his opponent Arn Anderson. Gene likes this show of respect and sportmanship from these two.# 1 Contender's Match: Arn Anderson vs. Ronnie Garvin Referee S.D. Jones starts the match and after an initial lock-up that goes nowhere; Ronnie Garvin takes it to Arn Anderson, busting him in the chops. "The Enforcer" falls back taking several hits before countering with a shot to Garvin's gut which lets him grab him by the arm, wrenching it and taking Ronnie down to the mat. "The Rugged One" immediately springs his feet up catching Arn in the face and dropping him. When Anderson gets back to his feet he's met with a hard right that takes him right back to the mat. AA gets up on all fours but Garvin backs him into the corner where he mounts the second rope and lets Anderson have it with eight punches while Jones warns him to back off. Hopping off Arn goes down hard and Ronnie uses the ropes to get some height on a jumping knee drop before making the cover; only getting a 1. It's then time for the Garvin Stomp! before "Rugged" runs the ropes and comes back for a jumping elbow drop which he misses when Arn Anderson rolls out of the way. Lifting Garvin up to his feet Anderson attempts to powerbomb his opponent; but Garvin puts on the stops and hoists Anderson over his head. Arn doesn't let go of Ronnie's legs however and tries to catch him in a sunset flip. Ron keeps his footing however and clubs Anderson in the head before scrambling to make the cover which only get him a 1 1/2. As Arn gets back up to his feet Garvin rakes his back before turning him about and punching him. AA connects with a knee to the gut and attempts a whip; but the wily Garvin reverses it and catches Anderson in an Octopus Stretch on the rebound. Arn won't surrender and eventually breaks free with a snapmare before missing a kneedrop on Ronnie which allows Garvin to trap "The Enforcer" in the figure four leglock! Anderson manages however to roll over; reversing it! Garvin screams in pain but refuses to surrender as he inches his way to the ropes and grabbing them is relieved when Jones orders Anderson to release the hold. Both men are on the floor in pain; but Anderson manages to get back to his feet first and lifting Garvin up into the air he hits a vertical suplex. He makes the cover but Garvin kicks out at two. Both men get up to their feet and Arn bashes Ronnie in the back sending him to the corner where he begins punching him. Listening to referee Jones he pulls "Rugged" out of the corner before continuing the assault of steady right hands. Knocking Garvin down to one knee, Arn clubs Garvin on the back knocking him down to the mat. Sitting on top of Ronnie, Anderson locks in a rear chinlock. Garvin refuses to submit and fights his way up to all fours when Arn helps him up and chucks him throught the ropes and out of the ring. This pisses Ron off and he climbs back up onto the apron. "The Enforcer" however captures him after a brief scuffly and attempts to smash Garvin's head into the turnbuckle. "Rugged" however blocks it with his foot and smashes Anderson's head into it instead. Climbing up top while Arn stumbles about; "Rugged" Ronnie goes airborne with a flying crossbody; but is caught in midair by Anderson! Anderson slams Garvin down to the mat and hits an elbow drop. Right into the canvas! Back up on his feet Ronnie Garvin signals for the knock out punch! As Arn turns about Garvin swings hard! But Arn Anderson sees it coming and ducking under grabs Ronnie Garvin up into his arm and batters him into the mat with a spinning spinebuster! He hooks the leg! 1!...2!... 3! Arn Anderson is number one contender! "The Enforcer" is going to face the "Macho Man!" Backstage Conan O'Brien has "Wildfire" Tommy Rich and "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert on one side of him and The Lawlers on the other. He asks Tommy Rich about their upcoming match.
Tommy Rich says that he's waited a very long time to get some revenge of Jerry "The King" Lawler whose greatest ability is at crowning himself over the years. That he knows Lawler has no talent and no class and that the fans here at Eastern Championship seem to know it too. But tonight he plans on showing Jerry just what a piece of trash he really is. That he won't rest until deep down in the very core of his being Lawler knows what he's always known; that "The King" is nothing more than a visage worn by a talentless coward.
Jerry Lawler is none too happy about it and finds it personally amusing that Tommy Rich would have the balls to call anyone a coward after the way he's handled himself in the ring all these years. Backstabbing, double dealing, sneak attacks. Tommy Rich could right a damned book on being a dirty conniving cheat. And to make matters worse he went and brought that piece of shit Doug Gilbert along for the ride. At his point "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert gets on the mic and says Jerry better keep his damned mouth shut about Doug Gilbert. That he don't know nothing about him. That he may not have a famous daddy whose coattails he can ride like Baby Lawler over there; but that just means he got to where he is today the hard way. By earning it.
Brian Lawler laughs at this; saying that if Gilbert's idea of paying his dues is jobbing to a jackass like Wolf Hawkfield and then getting kicked out of ACW to boot; then he's even dumber than he looks. Brian says that after him and Jerry get through whipping Doug and Tommy's asses; he's sure Gilbert will go running, crying off to another promotion just like he always does.
Conan O'Brien looks a bit uneasy when it looks like things may come to blows and asks them to all save it for the ring.
We then cut back to ringside where Lanny and Gene discuss the strong words just heard by the participants in our next match. The recap Lawler and Rich's rivalry starting all the way back in their days in Memphis where "Wildfire" was responsible for Jerry Lawler's head getting shaved when he interfered in a Loser Loses Their Hair Match Lawler was in against another rival of his; "The Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol. They talk about Rich's ECW debut where he cost Lawler his first round match in the Tournament just won by "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson here tonight. Rich and his crony Doug Gilbert were also responsible for Brian Lawler's loss. And since then have attacked the father and son team repeatedly. Okerlund is sure Jerry and Brian will be looking for more than a little payback here tonight. Lanny reminds us that tonight's match is a Steel Cage match; but unlike past matches of this type here at Eastern Championship; in this one winning by escaping the cage isn't an option. Okerlund says that's correct; in this slobberknocker; the steel mesh is the for one reason alone. Punishment.
The Bill Conti Overture then hits as Jerry and Brian Lawler emerge from the back. Conan: The following Steel Cage bout is scheduled for one fall and can only be won via Pinfall or Submission. Introducing first from Memphis, Tennessee weighing a combined 456 lbs.; they are Jerry "The King" and Brian Lawler!
The two of them wave to the crowd which is still mixed with boos for them. They are gaining ground in getting some fan support back however. Once the father/son duo are inside the ring with referee Danny Davis; 38 Special's "Wild Eyed Southern Boy" hits and brings out Tommy Rich and Doug Gilbert.
Conan: And their opponents this evening also from Tennesse and weighing a combined 488 lbs.; they are the team of "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert and "Wildfire" Tommy Rich!Tag-Team Cage Match: The Lawlers vs. Doug Gibert & Tommy Rich Davis barely gets the match underway when an all out brawl ensues. Jerry Lawler and Tommy Rich begin trading punches while Brian Lawler locks up with Doug Gilbert and drives him into the corner where he climbs onto the second rope and rains down punches on "The Redneck" Rebel" before taking him down to the mat with a Frankensteiner. Meanwhile Jerry has Rich in a headlock and chokes him out until "Wildfire" heaves forward tossing "The King" over his shoulder into the cage. Jerry bounces to the mat while Brian having more success has "Redneck" up on his knees and hammers his face before locking him into a front headlock. Seeing his partner in trouble, Rich nails Brian in the back; freeing Doug up to rake his opponent's eyes. This gives Jerry Lawler enough time to get back to his feet however and when Rich turns back to his prey; Lawler lets him have it with a clothesline dropping him to the canvas for the pin. He gets a two count before Doug breaks things up with a diving elbow drop. Running to help his dad; Brian sends Gilbert into the ropes with a standing dropkick before he catches a recovering Tommy offguard as he gets to his feet with several hard lefts and rights. Back on his own feet Jerry "The King" hits Doug Gilbert with a tilt a whirl backbreaker on the rebound before making another cover which nets him another two count while Brian is busy slamming Rich's face into the turnbuckle. When he attempts to ram Tommy into the cage, the veteran blocks it; and smashes Brian head first into it instead. He then uses the cage to climb onto the top rope and leaps down with a bionic elbow which knocks Brian to the floor. He makes the cover getting a two count while on the other side of the ring Jerry who is still in control of Doug; whips the Rebel across the ring hard; sending him face first into the cage. As he stumbles backward clutching his face Jerry grabs him from behind looking for an atomic drop; but Doug countes grabbing Jerry's head behind him and nails him with a jumping cutter! Jerry goes down like a sack of bricks and Gilbert rushes for the cover. 1!...2!.... "The King" kicks out! 3! Tommy Rich has Brian Lawler in a standing sleeper hold; but the young grappler refuses to tap. "Wildfire" shouts for his partner to lift Jerry to his feet and once he does; the two men whip the Lawlers into one another. Both collide hard and as they stumble back Tommy Rich grabs Brian and nails a Piledriver while Doug hits a DDT on Jerry. Both men make the cover. Davis makes the count 1!...2!... Jerry kicks out! 3! Wait! Brian just made it too! Tommy looks frustrated as he pulls at his horribly cut hair and gets even madder when he accidentally pulls another clump of it free. Doug is a bit more on the ball and lifts Jerry to his feet and chops him. Jerry catches Gilbert's arm however and hits him with a headbutt. He begins punching "The Redneck Rebel" across the ring. Tommy Rich sees this and charges; but Jerry sees him and takes him down with a deep armdrag! Rich pops back up only to be taken back down with another! Jerry's fire seems about to go out when he is spun around by a recovered Doug Gilbert who grabs Jerry's face locking in the clawhold. Jerry's scream is cut short as Doug's wrist is grabbed and pulled off by Brian Lawler who wrenches Gilbert's arm before running with it up the corner and sends his opponent tumbling across the ring with a flying armdrag. Meanwhile Tommy Rich has gotten a momentary drop on Jerry; but "The King" is soon firing back as they go punch for punch before Lawler moves in grabbing Tommy about the waist and sends him crashing to the mat with an exploder suplex! Brian meanwhile is seated on the top turnbuckle catching a beating from Doug Gilbert; but the young Lawler battles back with a few punches to the face and getting up leaps off the top turnbuckle. Onto Gilbert's shoulders! He then sprinboards off of "The Redneck Rebel" to hit the Tennessee Jam on the fallen Tommy Rich! Lawler looks amazed as his son makes the cover. Jerry sees Doug on his way to break up the fall as Danny Davis starts the count 1!... Jerry springs into action. 2! He leaps over Brian and Rich; nailing Gibert hard with a huge leaping shoulder block just as Davis hits the 3! The Lawlers have done it! Backstage Andy Richter is walking down the hall when "Ravishing" Rick Rude approaches him. He says that he supposes being a little out of shape piglet like Andy; you've got to be funny to get anywhere in life. And he'd guess coming to this show as a special guest; that must make Mr. Richter an especially funny tub of Jell-O. He says he want Andy to tell him something funny; but he just looks scared. Rick tells him that's what he thought. Out there mocking "The Ravishing One" with that jackass buddy of his O'Brien he has a big mouth. But backstage; facing a real man's man; he turns into the scared little mouse he is. Well Rick Rude is tired of not being taken seriously. Richter thinks he's a punchline? At this point Rude holds up his hand which still has some of Junkyard Dog's chain attached to it from last night! He clobbers Richter with it! Andy hits the floor knocked out cold and Rude chuckles. He tells Andy if he wakes up in time and really wants to see something funny; he'd best watch what he's going to do out there in the ring tonight tubby.
Out at ringside "Mean" Gene says he doesn't know what's gotten into Rick Rude of late. Lanny says he does; and that he's tired of being disrespected. He says that Rick Rude is one of the most physical men in this industry and he doesn't have a match tonight. He's out to make his mark to make sure that never happens again and Poffo has a feeling alot of people will be paying the price for it before all is said and done. Okerlund then talks about the big win for The Lawlers here tonight; which is the last non-Title bout of the night. Lanny then says that up next the Eastern States Championship held by "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam since February 9th is on the line. Gene says that Van Dam's Title run has certainly been an impressive one thus far; but wonders if it will be coming to an end here tonight. "The Genius" reminds us that this is not the first time RVD has faced off against "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg, having even faced him at ECW's second Big Event; Hotter Than Hell. He says it's only a matter of time before the Champ's luck runs out. Okerlund agrees with this saying that Blitzkrieg is a big, dangerous man and he's certain that menace The Baron Von Raschke will be at ringside to try and tilt the scales even further in the favor of his charge.
"Poundcake" by Van Halen then hits the arena and Rob Van Dam appears on the ramp with the Eastern States Title wrapped around his shoulder as he points to himself and the audience chants "Rob... Van... Dam!
Conan: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Eastern States Championship. Introdicing first from Battle Creek, Michigan weighing 237 lbs.; he is the Eastern States Champion "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam!
RVD shakes hands with referee S.D. Jones before handing him his Title. Just then "Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein assaults the arena.
Conan: And his challenger this evening hailing from The Republic of Germany at 323 lbs.; and accompanied by his manager The Baron Von Raschke; he is "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg!Eastern States Championship Match: Rob Van Dam vs. The Blitzkrieg The Blitzkrieg locks up with Rob Van Dam and the two men have a very lopsided contest of strength; with "Mangler's Monster" forcing the Champ down to his knees before throwing him aside. He then attempts to stomp RVD; but Van Dam rolls out of the way and popping up to his feet hits Blitzkrieg with a jumping roundhouse kick. The monster stumbles a bit and counters with a clothesline; but Rob ducks under it and runs the ropes before coming back with a dropkick to the back. Blitzkrieg stumbles fowards into the ropes and RVD runs back across the ring to build momentum and he goes for a Tiger feint kick! (619) Seeing this The Baron Von Raschke pulls the second rope down while RVD is mid swing and the Champ takes a tumble down to the arena floor. Back on his feet The Blitzkrieg climbs out onto the apron and measuring "Mr. Wednesday Night" as he gets back up to his feet The Blitzkrieg launches off with a massive flying clothesline! Van Dam goes down hard as Blitzkrieg rolls back to his feet. He then lifts Rob to his feets and hammers his back and head before hoisting him up over his head and hurls him back into the ring. Recovering in the ring as Blitzkrieg gets back up onto the apron; RVD springs into action with a baseball slide that trips the monster up; taking his legs out from under him and The Blitzkrieg nails his jaw on the top rope on the way down. He is quick to recover however; but the second Blitzkrieg is back up on his feet; Van Dam is airborne; hurling his body over the top rope in a suicide dive onto the giant! Both men tumble back to the floor while The Baron Von Raschke curses in German. Rob Van Dam seems just as dazed by the move as The Blitzkrieg by the move; but stumbles to his feet and points to his shoulders as the fans chant "R... V... D!" Just then however Raschke grabs him from behind and takes the Champ down with a snapmare. He then proceeds to lock in The Claw! while referee S.D. Jones screams at him from inside the ring."Mangler's Monster" by now has recovered and he takes RVD back from The Baron and lifting him to his feet; whips him hard into the steel stairs! The stairs come apart but The Blitzkrieg lifts Rob and rolls him into the ring at the behest of Raschke and climbs back in himself as Jones counts to 9. RVD is on the floor in pain already as The Blitzkrieg begins kicking him about the ring. He then picks Van Dam up to his feet and batters him into the corner where he hoists him up onto the top rope where he joins him; before nailing a superplex! The Blitzkrieg makes the cover! 1!...2!.... Rob Van Dam kicks out! 3! The count is close and The Baron looks furious! The Blitzkrieg lifts the Champ from the floor into the air again for a powerbomb! But Van Dam seated on the monster's shoulder comes alive! He begins hammering The Blitzkrieg's head before roling the huge man up in a hurricanrana pin! The Blitzkrieg kicks out at two! Both men get to their feet and RVD hits his opponent with several jabs and kicks before The Blitzkrieg fires back pummeling "Mr. Wednesday Night." Just then however there's a disturbance outside the ring! The Blitzkrieg turns to see "Ravishing" Rick Rude! And Rude has just nailed The Baron Von Raschke with his chained hand! He climbs on top of Raschke and begins hammering on him before wrapping the chain around The Baron's neck! Inside the ring The Blitzkrieg is pissed! He turns toward the recovering RVD and drops him with a furious clothesline before exiting the ring after Rude. Rick however drops Von Raschke and escapes around the ring. The monster seems more concerned about his manager who lies in pain on the floor than with chasing Rude. He lifts Von Raschke up into his arms like a baby and heads up the ramp while seated in the ring nursing a cut on his forehead; the Eastern States Champ Rob Van Dam looks on. He gets back up to his feet and talks with referee Jones who awards Van Dam the win via Count Out. RVD doesn't look too happy with this; especially when he turns around and finds "Ravishing" Rick Rude in the ring mic in hand; staring him down. Rick Rude gets on the mic and tells Rob Van Dam that he doesn't have a problem with him. Not a personal one anyway. Rude tells Van Dam that over the past year he's been looked over. Sure he's gotten Title shots; but they've always been an after thought. He reminds us that he was the man who made it to the Tournament Finals for the Eastern Heavyweight Championship back on December 22nd. Sure he lost to the "Macho Man;" but he proved by working his way through the best of the roster; that he was a legitimate contender for the Title. And what he did tonight? Well Rude got to thinking about when his troubles in this company started. And they go right back to when The Bliztkrieg and his manager Colonel Klink attacked him. Injured him to the point he was defeated by Randy Savage. But he isn't here to cry about past losses. He's here to talk about current wins. And back on November 9th during the Tournament Finals he seems to remember defeating the Eastern States Champ "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam. Rude points mockingly to his shoulders. So he figures he is the man who earned a Title shot tonight. Not these two goose stepping bozos. So Rude is putting out a challenge. Next week. December 7th. At the Nassau Coliseum. "Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam. Eastern States Championship on the line. RVD seems to be cool with this and is shaking his head in agreement.Andy Richter is seated in an office backstage with a black eye where he is playing with some Eastern Championship action figures! He has the "Macho Man" Randy Savage battering the "Ravishing" Rick Rude figure and lets out an "Oooooh yeah!" Eric Bischoff walks in halfway and makes a face as he enters with "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff and several media people. He says hello to Andy who looks a bit embarrassed. Eric then turns to the press people and says that they're ready to reveal Mattel's new line-up of ECW figures! He then turns to Andy and tells him to get out of the way of the camera and he scurries off. Buck Zumhoff then shows us the new line-up; which includes "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin, "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango, a new "Macho Man" Randy Savage; and of course; "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff himself! We're then brought back to the broadcast booth where Gen calls Eric and Buck a pair of shills before talking about the upcoming Women's Title Match. They talk about the athleticism and heart of Women's Champ "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore before discussing her opponent tonight; ECW ring announcer Beulah McGillicuttty. Poffo agrees with Jacqueline about how here fighting McGillicutty here tonight is ridiculous; not that he has anything against Beulah. She is certainly pretty to look at. But a wrestler she is not. Okerlund sort of agrees but reminds us how she did win a 10-Women Battle Royal to earn this spot. They then talk about Beulah's debut match yesterday which was interrupted by a vengeful Takako Inoue. Gene says that luckily Debbie Combs came to her rescue or Beulah may have been unable to compete here tonight. Poffo calls Combs a troublemaker.
Conan: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Women's Championship. Introducing first from Dallas, Texas weighing 130 lbs.; she is the Women's Champion "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore!
Jackie poses with her Title for the fans before handing it over to referee Danny Davis. Conan: And introducing her opponent at this time from Yonkers, New York weighing in at 110 lbs. and accompanied to the ring by "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs; Beulah McGillicutty!Women's Title Match: Jacqueline Moore vs. Beulah McGillicutty Jacqueline Moore locks up with Beulah McGillicutty when Danny Davis starts the match. Outside the ring Debbie Combs joins Gene and Lanny in the broadcast booth; telling them she's only out here to make sure things stay fair. Inside the ring Jacqueline has control of McGillicutty whom she hits with several chops knocking her opponent across the ring before whipping her into the ropes. She looks to end things early when she nails Beulah with a bridged German Suplex on the rebound but McGillicutty impresses a bit when she kicks out before the three. Moore keeps on top of her and locks in a rear chinlock. Beulah screams in pain but manages to wiggle free and rolls out of the ring. "Miss Texas" follows her out and hits McGillicutty with a diving double axehandle before rolling her back into the ring. On the apron Jacqueline grabs the top rope and uses it to spring herself over for a legdrop. Beluah is lying on her back and seeing the Champ coming; rolls out of the way. Moore crashes to the mat with nobody home giving McGillicutty enough time to get back to her feet where she kicks Jacqueline several times before she begins punching her in the head. Moore puts a stop to this with an elbow to the gut and back on her feet whips McGillicutty across the ring. On the rebound however Beulah counters with a hurricanrana! Jackie goes down hard and Beulah makes the cover only getting a one. The two women get back up and begin trading punches. Jacqueline is much stronger and puts the hurting on Beulah; whom she nails with a facebuster over her knee. As McGillicutty staggers back "Miss Texas" strikes with a clothesline taking Beulah down to the mat and makes a cover getting another two. Moore yells at Beulah to stay down as she lifts her up by the hair getting her in trouble from Davis. She knees Beulah in the gut and sets her up for the DDT: but McGillicutty rolls her up! 1!...2!... Jackie kicks out! Freeing herself, Moore immediately takes her opponent down with a toe hold and on the ground begins bashes Beulah's head into the canvas. Getting up she puts the boots to her before lifting her to her feet and uses an arm wrench before tossing Beuah across the ring with an armwrench. As Beulah staggers up to her feet; Jacqueline charges across the ring but stumbles as she gets tripped up. She turns to see that it was "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs that grabbed her feet!As she turns about she walks right into a kick to the gut from Beulah McGillicutty who then lays the Champ out with a DDT! She makes the cover. 1!...2!...3! Beulah McGillicutty is the new Women's Champion! Conan O'Brien is outside the dressing room of Eastern States Champion Rob Van Dam whom he's been sent to get some words with regarding his earlier match. He knocks on the door and after a few minutes it opens and some strange smoke pours out. Rob Van Dam then appears and waves it away before saying hi to Conan and telling him he's a big fan of Late Night. O'Brien coughs on the smoke a bit and tells him that he saw Rick Rude's interruption of his match earlier which resulted in a Count Out victory for "Mr. Wednesday Night" and would like to know his thoughts on the matter. Rob tells him first off it's Thursday and asks Conan what he's been smoking. So therefore today Rob Van Dam is "Mr. Thusday Night" and in addition to that "Mr. Pay per View." He says that he's cool with Rick Rude's actions and understands the dude's point. He did pin RVD during the Tournament after all and therefore deserves the shot at th Title. He's looking forward to that match. As for The Blitzkrieg; Rob says that he a big guy and he's sure he'll get over it. Besides; it's not like he can't always ask him for another shot. RVD's always up for a fight. He just hopes that the big dude's grandpa is okay. Old man took a pretty hard bump out there. Conan thanks Rob for his time and RVD says it's all good before opening his dressing room door. More smoke pours out before a dazed Andy Richter appears from inside. Conan looks surprised and asks Richter if he's been hiding out in there all night. Andy looks pretty out of it asks him "What man?" before informing Conan he's really hungry.Back at ringside Lanny Poffo tells Gene that it doesn't take a "Genius" to know what that smoke is and when Okerlund asks what it was; Lanny says incense. They then talk a bit about the new Women's Champ; with Gene saying he doesn't beliece Beulah McGillicutty new anything about what Combs did to help her win. Lanny says that's just because she has nice legs and Okerlund is biased as a result. He claims McGillicutty is just a cheat. But she's sneaky about it. Gene then tells us that sneaky isn't something the Tag-Team Champions The Killer Bees are when it comes to cheating. They then talk about how the number one contender's manager Mr. Fuji tattooed B. Brian Blair so the duo couldn't use "Masked Confusion" against them. They talk a bit about the rivalry betwen The Bees and The New Orient Express which got kick started back on September 21st at Hotter Than Hell when The Killer Bees used a fire extinguisher on Orient Express member Taka Michinoku to capture the Titles. An annoying buzzing is then heard as The Killer Bees appear on the ramp with the Titles about their waists.
Conan: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Tag-Team Championships. Introducing first weighing a combined 470 lbs.; they are the Eastern Tag-Team Champions "Jumping" Jim Brunzell and B. Brian Blair; The Killer Bees!
The Bees enter the ring and pose with the Titles before handing them over to referee S.D. Jones. The Kaientai Theme then hits as Mr. Fuji leads his men down the ramp.
Conan: And their opponents this evening led by their manager Mr. Fuji-san. Weighing a combined 367 lbs. from Tokyo, Japan they are Taka Michinoku and "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri; The New Orient Express!Tag-Team Title Match: The Killer Bees vs. The New Orient Express At the start of the match Mr. Fuji is complaining to Jones because The Killer Bees haven't removed their shirts for the match. B. Brian Blair shrugs and takes his off; revealing the Bee tattoo which seems to please Fuji immensely. Jiim Brunzell then takes his off as well as Fuji's eyes bug out. Brunzell has the same tattoo! He yells at S.D. that they cheat! His protests fall on deaf ears however and Jones orders "The Diabolical One" from the ring. Taka Michinoku starts things off with Jim Brunzell and the two men lock up. Brunzell makes the first move, breaking off goes with a quick go behind; attempting to back body drop Michinoku to the map. The athletic Taka however hops out of his clutches and landing behind "Jumping" Jim pops up with a standing dropkick that sends his opponent into the ropes. Holding the top rope Michinoku presses his knee into the back of Jim's neck and chokes him out for a bit until Jones stops him. He then tosses Brunzell down on the mat and hits the ropes for a sprinboard moonsault! Jim gets his knees up however and Taka lands hard. Keeping on his opponent Brunzell lifts Taka up and turning him about hits a neckbreaker before maaking the cover; getting a two count. Lifting Michinoku up off the ground he hammers his back before whipping him into his team's corner where B. Brian Blair is waiting to place him in a hammerlock. Blair holds him steady as Jim comes running in and leaping into the air connects with a dropkick! On Blair?! Michinoku ducked the move and Blair takes one to the face falling off the apron. Jim Brunzell looks stunned at this turn of events and is soon caught in a victory roll courtesy of Michinoku. 1!...2!... Jim kicks out! Leaping to his feet Brunzell turns and swings at Michinoku; but he ducks and grabbing Brunzell hits a side Russian legsweep! He goes for another cover getting a two before "Jumping" Jim reverses it getting a two of his own. Popping back up to their feet the two men trade punches until Brunzell reverses an Irish whip from Taka and nails him hard with a jumping leg lariat before making the cover. 1!...2!... Michinoku kicks out! Michinoku attempts to crawl to his corner; but Jim grabs his boot and drags him toward his own where he tags out to B. Brian Blair. The two men slap Taka about before whipping him across the ring together and nail him with a double flapjack. Blair makes the cover as Brunzell makes his exit; but "The Japanese Buzzsaw" has climbed up top and leaping off lands feet first onto Brian's back breaking the cover with a diving double foot stomp. Jones grabs Tajiri and orders him back to his corner; but he's given Taka enough time to get back to his feet and after lifting Blair for two knee strikes to the face he lifts him for the Michinoku Driver! Blair however reverses it and delivers a back body drop on his opponent instead before collapsing himself. Both men are down; but it's Taka who gets to his corner first while B. Brian manages to get to one knee. Yoshihiro Tajiri is stalking his prey and as Blair turns toward him he looks for a spinning heel kick. Blair ducks it and scoops Yoshihiro up however hitting a fisherman's suplex; which he bridges! 1!...2!... Tajiri wiggles free! With both men back on their feet Tajiri lets Blair have it with several chops before he whips him into the ropes and runs the ropes as Tajiri comes back with a handspring back elbow which sends Blair into the ropes and out of the ring! Jim Brunzell runs over to check on his opponent and the two men disappear. When Blair pops back up he's wearing a mask. And so is Brunzell! Yoshihiro Tajiri charges at his two opponents and tope dives on top of the masked Champs! Everyone goes down to the floor and Mr. Fuji along with Taka Michinoku run to Tajiri's aide! One of the masked men is back on his feet and as Fuji approaches he sneakily salts the man's eyes! Fuji laughs as he falls back screaming while the The Express begin putting the boots to the second man whom they roll into the ring. Getting back inside with him Tajiri picks up his opponent; but the masked Bee breaks free and running back to the ropes comes back with a dropkick that sends "The Buzzsaw" reeling. Tajiri soon finds himself on the receiving end of a vertical suplex; which gets the Bees a two count before Yoshihiro kicks out. Angered the masked man begins stomping on Tajiri, finally lifting him up; but Tajiri lets him have it with a face full of Asian mist! The man falls back screaming; but Yoshihiro doesn't let him hit the canvas; instead locking his prey in the Octopus stretch! This is ridiculous! Where is S.D. Jones? Being distratced by Fuji of course. The Bee refuses to submit however and Tajiri modifies the stretch into a face buster down on the canvas before making the cover! The New Orient Express has won it!
Wait. What's this? The other masked man is talking to Jones and removes his mask. It's B. Brian Blair! But isn't he the legal man?! S.D. Jones orders for the match to continue! Fuji is furious as is Tajiri who lets Blair have it with a kick to the back before whipping him across the ring. On his way back however Blair hits The Buzzsaw with a forearm smash followed by a hiptoss and then an elbow drop. Rolling Tajiri over; B. Brian Blair locks in the Boston Crab! Tajiri screams in pain until Taka makes the rescue with a hurranrana of the top! Tajiri stumbles back to his feet and tags Taka Michinoku back in. Taka immediately hits the ropes and takes Blair down with a springboard crossbody pin. 1!...2!... Brian kicks out! Michinoku pills Blair up to his feet, but Brian slaps him away and rakes his eyes. He begins slapping and chopping Taka about the ring but recovering a bit Michinoku begins firing back. The two men go at it until getting the upperhand; Blair pulls Michinoku up for a lifting side slam! Michinoku counters with a Tornado DDT! He makes the cover! 1!...2!..3! The New Orient Express are the new Eastern Tag-Team Champions! Again!

12-07-94 - Nassau Coliseum Uniondale, NYMean Gene Okerlund welcomes us to another exciting night of Eastern Championship Wrestling! Tonight's show is coming to us live from the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York; just one week after ECW's first Pay Per View Event; the 1994 Wrestle Annual! He thanks the folks at home as well as those in attendance for making it such a huge success. He then introduces us to his broadcast partner; "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. He and Lanny then discuss the events that took place at the PPV; with emphasis on the fact that three Titles changed hands last week. Beulah McGillicutty is the new Women's Champ, The New Orient Express are once again the Tag-Team Champions; and in a monumental match "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson defeated "Macho Man" Randy Savage to become the new Eastern Heavyweight Champion!
They then run down tonight's card which will see the Tag Champs in action as well as some Wrest Annual fallout when former Women's Champ "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore gets some revenge on the Woman who cost her the Title; "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs. Also in a huge Main Event; the Eastern States Championship will be on the line when "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam defends his Title against "Ravishing" Rick Rude. The bout also being a result of happenings at the PPV; which if you missed it live; can still be ordered. Call your local cable provider for more details.
Lanny and Gene then discuss tonight's opening contest which will see two sets of winners from the PPV face off in non-Title Tag-Team action as The Lawlers do battle with the Tag-Team Champs The New Orient Express. They then inform us a little about how The Lawlers defeated the team of Tommy Rich and Doug Gilbert in a Steel Cage as well as how The New Orient Express defeated the Tag-Team Champs The Killer Bees to win the Titles for the second time here at Eastern Championship.
Women's Champ and ring announcer Beulah McGillicutty makes with the intros as The Bill Conti Overture hits and The Lawlers emerge from the back. Once they're inside the ring with referee S.D. Jones; The Kaientai Theme hits bringing out the Tag Champs The New Orient Express with the Titles slung over the shoulders of Taka Michinoku and "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri.
Inside the ring; The Express' manager Mr. Fuji gets on the mic and talks about their win at the PPV. He says that they have once again brought home Championship Gold and honor for their home country of Japan. He then acknowledges the Lawlers and says that the Americans got a win that night as well; in the only way they can; against other stupid Americans. He goes on to say that while at the moment this ring is full of winners; that the foolish redneck King and King Jr. in ring tonight will go home losers here tonight. Mwahaha.Tag-Team Match: The Lawlers vs. The New Orient Express The match starts out with some good back and forth between Taka Michinoku and Brian Lawler who gets a nearfall on Michinoku with a schoolboy. Later he's nearly pinned himself after getting nailed by the Michinoku Driver. Keeping the momentum going; the Orient Express cut off the ring and keep punishing Brian until he manages to hit a desperation stiout facebuster over his head on Tajiri. Running to the ropes he makes the hot tag to Jerry "The King" Lawler. The old veteran and "The Japanese" Buzzsaw" put in a good show until while Jones is distracted; the diabolical Mr. Fuji lets Jerry have it with a face full of salt sending him stumbling to make the tag. Back in the ring Brian Lawler sends Tajiri packing after hitting him with a suplex. With Taka Michinoku back inside the ring; he and Brian are going punch for punch when there's a disturbance at ringside. It's "Wildfire" Tommy Rich! While S.D. Jones and Jerry yell at Rich to get his ass back to the locker room; "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert has stormed the ring with a Kendo stick! Still trading punches and kicks with Michinoku; Brian sees Gilbert out of the corner of his eye as he swings! Brian ducks and Taka takes one to the face! Michinoku drops hard as Brian grabs Doug and whips him across the ring; following him in with a clothesline that sends "The Rebel" tumbling out. Taka is still down and preoccupied with Rich the ref hasn't seen a thing. With a shrug Brian Lawler climbs up top and hits the Tennessee Jam guillotine legdrop as Jones returns to make the count; giving The Lawlers the win.Eastern Championship Wrestling returns with Gene and Lanny discussing Tommy Rich and Doug Gilbert's interference during the Tag-Team match between the Lawlers and the New Orient Express before the break. Lanny is sure that things didn't go the way Rich had planned them to. The goof just handed his longtime rival Jerry "The King" Lawler a shot at the Tag-Team Titles! Okerlund agress and says that he's sure Mr. Fuji and the Express aren't too thrilled about this turn of events however.
They then talk about the next match which will see "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle take on Kaz Hayashi. Poffo doesn't care about Hayashi; he's just thrilled he'll get to see Kaz' valet Takako Inoue tonight.Match: Mongo Vyle vs. Kaz Hayashi Kaz Hayashi gets a little offense in; but this match is pretty much a squash in which Mongo Vyle takes Hayashi out with a standing release powerbomb for the three count from Davis.
After the match Takako Inoue enters the ring and Kaz begins begging her for forgiveness. All she gives him is a slap across the face before approaching Mongo whom she plants a wet one on! Vyle is shocked as Inoue takes him by the arm and leads him from the ring; leaving Hayashi in stunned.
Lanny thinks this is amusing, but finds the thought of Takako Inoue with Mongo Vyle confusing; and quite frankly disgusting. Gen just thinks Vyle is one hell of an athlete and a force to be reckoned with here in ECW. Just then "White Train" by Tito & Tarantula hits as Eric Bischoff swaggers his way down to the ring.Eric tells us that when he's out here it always means business and that tonight he has a couple of things on his agenda; so bare with him. First he'd like to thanks all the fans out there for making ECW's first ever Pay Per View the Wrestle Annual such a resounding success. He says that he couldn't have done it without us. He then reminds us that at Wrestle Annual on December 1st three Titles changed hands. The first one he's going to talk about is the Women's Championship. Because it creates a bit of a dilemma. Beulah McGillicutty come on down!Beulah heads down to the ring and Eric congratulates her on winning the Women's Championship. He says he had his reservations letting the match go through; but she proved herself competent in the ring. Obviously; being she's holding the Title. However he can't have her both announcing the matches and actively competing. Too much potential problems. So he's going to give her a choice. She can either retain her job as ring announcer and be stripped of the Title; or she can become an active part of the roster and defend her Championship. Lanny likes the thought of stripping Beulah.
McGillicutty gets on the microphone and says that while she's enjoyed her time as ring announcer; all she's ever wanted to do was get in this ring and kick some ass. So she's going to keep the Title. She then holds the belt up as the fans cheer her decision. Eric says he respects her guts; but says her choice leaves him with a new problem. Eastern Championship needs a new ring announcer. And for that job he's putting his faith in a true gem in this business; the lovely Lady Alexandra!Alexandra comes down to the ring and thanks Eric for the position. Poffo says he has a few positions he'd like to see her in. Okerlund tells him to knock it off and show some respect. Eric Bischoff then tells us how the Tag-Team Titles have changed hands; but that The Killer Bees will not be getting a rematch with The New Orient Express. The reason for this being; earlier this evening Jim Brunzell came by his office and informed him he was retiring from the sport. He will however be on the active roster until his contract expires on January 1st. He the tells us he's aware of the rematch the world is waiting for. When "Macho Man" Randy Savage attempts to reclaim the ECW Title from "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson! And that match will take place on... well you'll just have to stay tuned. Mr. Fuji is seen in the office of Eric Bischoff; thanking him very much. Bischoff tells him not to mention it before he picks up a walkie talkie and tells Okerlund there's been a change of plans.
Back at ringside Gene and Lanny are discussing the announcments made by Eric Bischoff before the break. Lanny says he will miss seeing Beulah McGillicutty here at ringside when 38 Special's "Wild Eyed Southern Boy" hits and out from the back "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert appears with his tag-team partner "Wildfire" Tommy Rich in tow. Okerlund informs us that this will be Gilbert's first single's effort here at ECW. Inside the ring with referee S.D. Jones Dog and Tommy are looking confident. Jones has a little trouble getting Rich to leave the ring as "Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein sound. "Mean" Gene quips "Welcome to ECW Doug."Match: The Blitzkrieg vs. Doug Gilbert Doug Gilbert's eyes bug out as The Blitzkrieg storms down the ramp with the Baron Von Raschke in tow. As "Mangler's Monster" enters S.D. Jones starts up the match and it's obvious Gilbert doesn't want any part of the big man as he keeps his distance and seems to be trying to talk Blitzkrieg down as he backs out of the ring. Hitting the ropes Doug jumps out of his ski, startling himself before turning to leave. The monster is right on top of him however and pulling him back by the scuff of his neck; The Blitzkrieg throws the much smaller man up over his shoulder and proceeds to powerslam him into the mat. He steps on Doug's chest to make the pin.
After the match The Blitzkrieg taunts Tommy Rich to come into the ring for his friend with a beckoning gesture. "Wildfire" proves he isn't a total idiot (according to Lanny) when he wants no part of it and turns right into the waiting hands of The Baron Von Raschke! No Claw this time. Instead The Baron simply rolls Rich into the ring where the stunned man attempts to escape The Blitzkrieg's clutches until the big man catches hold of him and delivers a huge chokeslam. He roars triumphantly as ECW goes to...When Eastern Championship Wrestling returns; Mean Gene and Lanny discuss the Women's Title match at Wrestle Annual; in which Beulah McGillicutty defeated "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore to become the Women's Champ. Okerlund reminds us that a big factor in Moore's loss with "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs who gave Beulah an assist at ringside tripping her up. Moore asked for this match here tonight looking to get a little payback on Combs. Lady Alexandra then makes with the intros for the first time in ECW.Match: Jacqueline Moore vs. Debbie Combs Danny Davis has a tough time officiating this match, which devolves into an all out brawl with plenty of hair pulling an cheap shots from both parties. Combs nearly wins it with a surprise roll-up halfway through; but Jacqueline Moore kicks out at two and comes back even madder than she was at the onset; finishing things when she lifts Combs up following a clothesline to nail her with a German Suplex which she bridges for the three. Not satisfied Jacqueline begins putting the boots to "Hot Stuff." When from the back the Women's Champion Beulah McGillicutty comes rushing down the ramp to make the save! Jacqueline Moore sees her and prevents the Champ from entering the ring. Getting the mic from Alexandra; "Miss Texas" asks Beulah what her Barbie doll ass is going to do about it? She tells McGillicutty there is only one reason she's the Women's Champ right now. And that's dumb luck. She says that dumb is exactly what Beulah is for not taking her announcing job back; because once Jacqueline gets her rematch and beats her ass in--
Jacqueline Moore is cut short as she is assaulted from behind and knocked to the ground by an irate Debbie Combs who begins stomping a mudhole in "Miss Texas!" Beulah looks on for several seconds before sliding into the ring and manages to calm "Hot Stuff" down.
While Danny Davis is busy helping Jacqueline Moore from the ring, Okerlund tells us that this is just another reprehensible attack perpetrated by Debbie Combs. He says that if she's smart the Women's Champ Beulah McGillicutty will stay far away from that jezebel. He and Lanny then begin discussing the Eastern Heavyweight Championship Match at Wrestle Annual in which "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson defeated his longtime rival "Macho Man" Randy Savage to win the ECW Title. Lanny says it's about time someone did it. Mean Gene says it was an incredible match that can still be caught on Pay Per View. Poffo says to call your local Cable provider for details. Gene chuckles and thanks him for the assist before they discuss the rivalry between Anderson and Savage which began on Eastern Championship's first broadcast. They cover the entire feud from that intial loss for Anderson to the brutal Steel Cage Match, to their unexpected teaming against Papa Shango and Brickhouse Brown; finally ending with their match at Wrestle Annual.Inside the ring ECW President Eric Bischoff is standing with Danny Davis and Lady Alexandra; who introduces us to the new Eastern Heavyweight Champion; "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson!Arn Anderson comes out and heads down to the ring in a black leather jacket and jeans. He has the ECW Title around his waist. Eric congratulates Arn on his win and shakes his hand. Anderson thanks him before addressing the crowd whom he also thanks. He says it's been a long road. That far too often in his career he's played second fiddle to great men. He ain't naming them. You already know who they are. But when Eric called him up and asked him to come to Eastern Championship Wrestling? He had his doubts. He was pretty secure in his place in this business. He could've made alot of money going pretty much anywhere. And been with his friends. Or; he could take a risk. Strike out on his own and carve his own path. Or hell. He could just strike out. But "The Enforcer" was never one to back down from a challenge. He didn't know if this venture of Eric's would pay off or pay at all. But he's happy to say it did. And today he can say beyond a doubt that that risk he took? Was well worth it. For today he made it to the top of his game. His own way. And now here he is; the Eastern Heavyweight Champion. Now as everyone knows winning it is the easy part. There've been many fly by night Champions. Guys who held a belt for two damn seconds and want to be recognized for that... effort. Well now that Arn Anderson has this Title it's time for him to put his money where his mouth is and make this company proud to have him here; holding this belt. And he's going to do it the only way he knows how. By being the best damned all around wrestler out there. Now he's not going to discredit the "Macho Man." Despite their differences Randy Savage held this Title for almost a year. That's no easy task. And one hell of an accomplishment. He set the standard. And now it's time for ol' AA to uphold it. Now he's perfectly aware that Savage will be coming to reclaim this belt. And guys like Jerry Lawler, Rick Rude, Tommy Rich, Ronnie Garvin... They're just as hungry. And to them all "The Enforcer" has to say is this: Bring it."Pomp and Circumstance" hits as "Macho Man" Randy Savage emerges from the back alone. He's limping a little. "Arn Anderson. "The Enforcer" yeah. Should've dubbed you The Stalker you ask me. Every since I stepped foot in this here promotion there you were. Nipping at my heels. Riding my coattails. Lying in wait. Ready to spring. Yeah. Waiting for an opportunity when the Champ, when Randy Savage; was weak. When he was tired. Not at the top of his game. Then and only then do you pounce and take what rightfully belongs to the"Macho Man" dig it. And sore I was. Beaten. Battered. Everyone in this arena saw me limp into that ring at Madison Square Garden. Feeling the effects of the beating I was handed by those two punks Mongo Byle and Dino. You should be thanking them. Letting them hold your Title. The Title they gave you when they put their hands of the Champ just one, one day before Wrestl Annual! We have a word for that where I come from Arn. Convenient. But that's okay. Feel proud putting one over on the "Macho Man." Putting him down for the 1-2-3. Yeah. Enjoy your time in the sunshine. Cause it's not going to be this week or next week Randy Savage comes to take back what's rightfully is. Oh no. You won't be fighting an injured man next time we meet. Dig it. Next time. When the true Champion chooses to spring AA he will be at the top of his game. A lion ready to spring out an take you down. Tear you limb from limb. And reclaim what's rightfully his; the Eastern Heavyweight Championship. Ooooh yeah!"We're inside the locker room when Eastern Championship Wrestling returns from break. Jim Brunzell is seated on a bench lacing up his boots when his tag-team partner B. Brian Blair enters looking upset. He tells Jim that he can't believe that Jim is doing this to him. Breaking up the team. Retiring. He reminds him that they just lost the Tag-Team Championships and that they have a guaranteed rematch. They can go in there and get the belts back. This is no time to just give up and pack it in. What's Blair going to do if Brunzell just ditches him? They signed on here at Eastern Championship as a team. He has no idea if Bischoff will keep him on afterward. Brunzell's decision could be putting him out of a job too.
Jim finishes what he was doing and apologizes to B. Brian Blair. He tells him they've been like brothers over the years and the last thing he wants to do is hurt him. They've had great times together as a team, as The Killer Bees; but over the last year? Well He's starting to feel it. All the drop kicks. All the body drops. He just doesn't want to stick around for too long and end up regretting it. He can feel it in his bones. And he's sorry for putting Blair on the spot like this; but he's---
Blair is still irritated and tells Brunzell just to forget about it. He's heard enough. He then storms off leaving Brunzell looking concerned.
"Mean Gene" and Lanny then talk a bit about Brunzell's decision to leave and Okerlund wishes him the best whatever he decides. Lanny says that having spent years in the ring himself he knows where "Jumping" Jim is coming from; but can't believe he'd just leave his friend Brian Blair hanging like that. They then discuss "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson winning the ECW Championship and what he had to say before the break. Okerlund thinks AA will make a great Champion here at Eastern Championship. Lanny agrees; but says he'd have been happy with anyone taking the belt off that Savage guy. Except maybe one of the Stevies. Neither of them seem to remember "Macho Man" limping on his way to the ring at Wrestle Annual. Okerlund is shocked that they actually agree on something and Poffo reminds him they both think his wife is lousy in bed. Wait a damned minute...
They then talk about Ronnie Garvin's match against "The Enforcer" at Wrestle Annual and how even though he lost in the end; Garvin put up one hell of a match and was quite impressive throughout the Tournament to determine the number one contender for the ECW Champioship. Okerlund says that AA would be smart to keep an eye out for Garvin as well if he plans to hold the Title for any length of time. Lanny then admits that even though he's a Canadian he could be a potential threat; as could "Iron" Mike Sharpe who won the Loser Leaves Town Match at Wrestle Annual. Poffo reminds us that "Maniac" Matt Borne who lost that match is no longer with the company and warns "The Maniac" not to let the door hit him in the ass on the way out. They both agree again that the match between Sharpe and Borne at Wrestl Annual was one of the most brutal in the history of the company so far. Just then the Canadian National Anthem blares and down the ramp storms Canada's Greatest Athlete "Iron" Mike Sharpe who is waving the Canadian Flag victoriously.
Entering the ring Sharpe gets on the mic. His face is bandaged; mostly on his nose. He tells us that at Wrestle Annual he and Matt Borne had a hard fought battle; but that in the end he proved himself to be Canada's Greatest Athlete once again. And now that he has sent theat fat, stinking American pig Matt Borne packing back to his trailer park where he belongs; he is going back to making winning some Championship Gold his number one priority. And that shouldn't be too hard now that "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is the Champ. Because if "Iron" Mike Sharpe is good at anything; it's putting down portly rednecks like "The Enforcer."Match: Ronnie Garvin vs. Mike Sharpe Mike Sharpe gives as good as he gets in this tough match which he nearly wins after trapping Garvin in a monstrous bearhug. "The Rugged One" rallies at the last minute however and vicously grabbs Sharpe's injured nose; twisting it hard before delivering a double chop to "Iron" Mike's head which gets him to drop Ronnie. From there Garvin takes full control of the match and makes the cover following the Garvin Stomp; which only gets him a two. Mike Sharpe recovers a bit and gets in a little offense toward the end; before going for a desperation running forearm smash which Ronnie Garvin counters with rolling cross armbreaker which earns him the win via Submission. When we come back from break Gene and Lanny talk about Ronnie Garvin's win over Mike Sharpe and put them both over as looking very impressive out there tonight. Lanny says that no matter who won; we as a viewer would lose; being a Canadian would win either way. Irish Folk Music is then heard as "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady makes his way to the ring tossing gold coins to the crowd from his cauldron. As per the norm; some are still thrown back at him.Match: Erin O'Grady vs. B. Brian Blair B. Brian Blair looks a bit distracted tonight; but still manages to put in a good and sometime dominating performance tonight against Erin O'Grady whom he nearly puts away with a flapjack and almost manages to get to tap out with the Boston Crab. Six minutes into the match however Jim Brunzell comes down to ringside to show his support and ends up accidentally distracting B. Brian Blair just long enough for Erin O'Grady to get lucky by hitting the Lucky Charm lifting double underhook implant DDT for the thrree count from Davis. After the match Blair looks pissed and Brunzell seems to make quick with an apology.Mean Gene welcomes us back from the last commercial break of the evening and reminds us that next week on December 14th Eastern Championship will be coming to us live from the New Haven Coliseum in New Haven, Conneticut. He says that while tickets are sold out for the show; those folks without can join us right here as always on ECW's home station; TNN The Nashville Network. They then discuss tonight's Main Event in which the Eastern States Champion "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam is set to defend his belt against "Ravishing" Rick Rude. They remind us that this match is a direct result of Rude's actions at the ECW Wrestle Annual and discuss "The Ravishing One's" change in attitude of late. Lanny likes this more determined, assertive Rick Rude while Okerlund objects to some of the ways Rude has asserted himself; including the beating he gave to both Dick Murdoch and the Junkyard Dog. They then recap Van Dam's Championship match against The Blitzkrieg as Wrestle Annual which ended in a Count Out victory for the Champ when Rude took out the Baron Von Raschke causing "Mangler's Monster" to rush to his manager's aide. They inform us that neither The Blitzkrieg or Von Raschke have been heard from since; and wonder if The Baron is alright.Main Event Eastern States Championship Match: Rick Rude vs. Rob Van Dam After the intros referee S.D. Jones starts the match and the two compeitors rush across the ring, locking up in the middle. To two men attempt to overpower one another as they push each other back and forth across the ring. Driving Rick Rude into the corner; Rob Van Dam looks to be in control when Rude knees him in the gut and follows it up with elbow strikes to RVD's face. When Rude attempts to grab his opponent and back his way up the ropes however; Van Dam blocks it and sends "The Ravishing One" flying across the ring via a monkey flip. Keeping on top of Rick; Rob keeps up the assault with several kicks as Rude stumbles up to one knee. After Van Dam gets several shots in Rude takes him down to the mat with a legdrag. Back on his feet he grabs the top ropes and puts the boots to "Mr. Wendesday Night" before leaping up and delivering a knee drop. Picking Rob up to his knees Rick drags him over to the center of the ring; and RVD surprises him with a roll up! 1!...2!... Rude kicks out! Popping back up Rude swings and misses and Van Dam ducks under the blow and comes back with a spinning wheel kick. Both men go down; but Rob is back up first and running the ropes attempts a running knee strike as Rude gets back up to his knees. Rude sees it coming however and somersaults out of the way leaving Rob to get hung up in the ropes. As Van Dam staggers back freeing himself; Rude hits him with a big back body drop. He looks ready to go for the pin but instead mockingly dusts himself off before grabbing RVD's legs and hitting the figure four. "Mr. Wednesday Night" wakes up screaming in pain and struggles his way to the ropes. It's a slow crawl but he makes it getting Jones to break up the hold. Keeping on him Rick pulls RVD up to his knees and begins battering him in the head and shoulders with several hard rights and elbows. His left arm seems to be choking the Champ however and S.D. is forced to push Rude away breaking them up. Rick isn't too happy about this and when Jones finally moves out of the way it's lights out time for "The Ravishing One" as Van Dam pops up with a superkick! He rolls over onto Rude and hooks the leg. 1!...2!... Rick kicks free! RVD is obviously still feeling the figure four as he hobbles up to his feet and picks up Rude; but Rick slaps his way free and begins pounding on the Champ. Van Dam fires back and the two men go at it in the middle of the ring until Rob Irish whips Rude; but Rick reverses it sending Van Dam into the ropes. On the rebound Rick ducks a bit early for a back body drop and RVD somersaults over him before heading back into the ropes. As Rude whirls about Van Dam goes airborne connecting with a huge dropkick! Rick staggers back and falls into the ropes seated. Van Dam charges at his opponent; but holding the second rope Rick pulls himself up and connects with a boot to Van Dam's face! As RVD staggers about Rick Rude takes him for a ride as he whips him across the ring hard into the corner. "The Ravishing One" then charges in for a vicious back elbow. As RVD stumbles forward Rick grabs him and signals for the Rude Awakening! He hits it! And makes the cover! 1!...2!.... RVD kicks out! 3! Rude can't believe it! After pounding the ring and angry Rude pulls RVD up to a seated position and gouges Rob's eyes! Jones steps in to intercede; but summoning up the energy; "Mr. Wednesday Night" throws one of his lethal legs up at Rude's face! Rude ducks?! And it catches the ref in the mush! Jones goes down hard and is out cold as Rick pulls Rob up to his feet and hits a back to belly piledriver! He makes the cover and this one's over! But where's the...? Rude looks over to see S.D. Jones laid out! He throws a tantrum in the ring pulling at his hair. Standing back up tries to shake Jones awake while Rob stirs. Seeing this he puts the boots to the Champ. Rick Rude smiles slyly and exits the ring. He goes under the apron and produces Junkyard Dog's chain; which Lanny says it Rude's "insurance policy." Rick rolls back in and Rob Van Dam is dazed; but back on his feet. And Rude lets him have it with his chained fist! Rob goes down hard but groggily gets back up to one knee and "The Ravishing One" lets him have it again! Rob is down for several seconds but starts to stir and is now barely up on his knees. Rude can't believe it and pulls back for another hit; but someone grabs his hand as the crowd comes alive. He turns to meet the firey gaze of the Junkyard Dog! Rude is stunned and that's all the time JYD needs to blast him with a massive heabutt! Scooping Rick off his feet; the Dog hits his Thump! front powerslam and barks for the crowd who eats it up! The Dog's Tag-Team partner "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch is also on the scene and lying the chain over Rude's face; he stomps on it! With that Junkyard Dog takes his chain back and Deep South hightails it out of there. S.D. Jones is the first of the three men to recover. He sees both Rude and Van Dam laid out and looks confused. But he begins the count. He gets to seven when RVD begins to stir and a little after nine "Mr. Wednesday Night" is back up on his feet. He is wobbly as he surveys his surroundings; surprised to see Rude out cold on the floor. He hobbles over to the corner and climbs up top where he points to his shoulders as the fans chant "Rob... Van... Dam! before he goes airborne! And connects with the Five Star Frog Splash! Rolling on top of Rude Jones makes the count as the...
Lights Fade.

12-14-94 - New Haven Coliseum New Haven, CTMean Gene welcomes us to the New Haven Coliseum in New Haven, Connecticut for another exciting addition of Eastern Championship Wrestling before introducing us once again to his broadcast partner "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. They briefly discuss last week's show which ended with the tag-team Deep South consisting of Dick Muroch and the Junk Yard Dog being instrumental in "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam retaining the Eastern States Championship against "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude. Their involvement in the match surely being payback for Rude's own actions against them in the weeks before Wrestle Annual. They then run down tonight's show which will not only see Champion Rob Van Dam in action, but the Women's Champ Beulah McGillicutty and the Tag Champs The New Orient Express as well. And in tonight's huge Main Event; Rick Rude will be meeting one half of Deep South in battle when he faces off against "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch.
"Poundcake" by Van Halen then hits as the Lady Alexandra makes with the intros for the first match of the night.Match: Rob Van Dam vs. Doink the Clown Rob Van Dam seems to take Doink the Clown just as seriously as any other competitor; which is a good thing seeing as Doink is on top of his game tonight; even getting a nearfall following a scoop powerslam. "Mr. Wednesday Night" still has some bruising on his face from the attack last week but otherwise looks fine and after a decent fight Rob Van Dam puts Doink the Clown away for the three from Davis via the Rolling Thunder. When we return we're backstage where we see "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert walking with "Wildfire" Tommy Rich. Gilbert is annoyed about the match that sissy, pencil pusher Bischoff gave him last week. He says putting him into the ring with that monster is no way a superstar such as himself should be treated. Rich tells Doug to calm down and he'll take care of it. He's rubbing his neck and says that he didn't appreciate the manhandling he received either and that he'll make sure the boss does something about it. They stop at Eric's door and knock. From inside we hear Eric call for them to enter.Once inside ECW President Eric Bischoff asks the duo what he can do for them. Gilbert goes off on a tangent about how it wasn't right for him to just throw him to the lions like that. Eric grins and reminds Gilbert they were in a Coliseum last week. So it was fitting. He then tells him to stop being so melodramatic. Rich interrupts on his buddy's behalf and tells Bischoff that they didn't come here to Eastern Championship to be made fools of. That they are wreslters and don't want no part in the carnival act Bischoff is selling with monsters and clowns. All the "Wildfire" cares about is getting some Championship gold around his waist. Because that leads to his favorite thing; money. Doug says that's right and he wants more cash in hand if he's going to have to tangle with freaks in costumes like The Blitzkrieg.
Bischoff tells the duo that he'd love to give them a Championship match. But that ECW doesn't run like some other promotions. He doesn't hand out matches for Titles because of what you did in other companies or because you're his buddy or someone elses. He tells them if they want Title shots; they should go out there and earn them. Winning a few matches would certainly help their case. He then returns to his paperwork. Both Rich and Gilbert look pissed and after exchanging a few tense glances with one another; they storm out of the office.Match: Junkyard Dog vs. Steven Richards Junkyard Dog has a fire lit under his ass tonight and from the second S.D. Jones starts the match; JYD dominates Steven Richards. Richards isn't a slouch and gets in some good offense here and there; but it's no surprise when Junkyard Dog ends up pinning him after the Thump front powerslam and barks victoriously at the crowd. When Eastern Championship returns Okerlund and Lanny talk about the Women's Match last week between former Champion Jacqueline Moore and Debbie Combs. They discuss how after the match "Miss Texas" looked to exact some vengeance on Combs; but was stopped short when Women's Champ Beulah McGillicutty came down to ringside. Jacqueline was then attacked from behind by Debbie until McGillicutty calmed her down. Tonight Eastern Championship's new Women's Champ will be seen in action for the first time since her win at Wrestle Annual. "Pour Some Sugar On Me" by Def Leppard then sounds as Tiffany appears on the ramp.Match: Tiffany vs. Beulah McGillicutty After being told to leave the ring by referee Danny Davis; "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs joins Lanny and Gene at ringside where she explains she is watching McGillicutty's back because she doesn't trust that phony goody two-shoes Moore. Inside the ring Tiffany and Beulah McGillicutty are putting on a decent match with good back and forth and after connecting with a DDT Beulah goes for the pin. Both she and Davis are distracted however when "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore's music hits and she comes down the ramp to join Gene, Poffo; and Debbie at the commentating table. This distraction gives Tiffany an opportunity to rally back and she takes full advantage; nearly scoring the pin after rolling up a dazed McGillicutty whom she just hit with a running bulldog. Okerlund asks both Jacqueline and Debbie to please remain civil; but Lanny encourages a catfight wherein the winner gets a night of "intellectual stimulation." Moore says she isn't out here to start trouble; but instead wants to announce that next week she will be reclaiming her Women's Championship from "Ms. Priss" in the ring there whether Debbie watches her back or not. Meanwhile inside the ring after hitting a hurrancanrana that looks a bit clumsy; Beulah McGillicutty goes up top and connects with a moonsault on Tiffany for the win. After the break new backstage interviewer Douglas Williams is with Eastern States Champion Rob Van Dam. RVD pats Doug on the back and welcomes him back to the show; asking him how he's doing. Williams rubs his jaw and his speech is a little off; but he says he's doing alright considering what happened back in June having broken his jaw in three places. Rob says that Williams is looking good; like he gained some muscle while he was away; and hopes he'll be back in the ring soon. Douglas says not for at least another three months of rehab; but luckily Eric is letting him keep his job here. He then tells Rob that's enough about him and asks him about his thoughts regarding his match with Rick Rude and the interference by Deep South. "Mr. Wednesday Night" says that Rude gave him one hell of a match and that anytime you step into the ring with "The Ravishing One" you need to bring your A game. As for Deep South; RVD has nothing against those dudes. He understands why they did what they did and Rick had it coming. And not for nothing; but Rude hit Van Dam himself in the face with a steel chain. Rob certainly isn't going to be shedding any tears because Rick Rude wasn't able to steel his Title. But if Rick Rude feels slighted; he wouldn't mind giving him a rematch. Because in the end there would've only been one winner anyway; and that's Rob... Van... Dam.When Eastern Championship Wrestling returns Mean Gene reminds us that next week they'll be coming to us live from the Hartford Civic Center in beautiful Hartford, Connecticut. He says that while tickets for the show are sold out; those folks at home can tune in right here on ECW's home station TNN The Nashville Network to see it live. He and Lanny then discuss last week's show in which the Tag-Team Champs The New Orient Express lost to The Lawlers mostly due to the antics of "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert. Lanny says that if he knows Mr. Fuji like he thinks he doesn; he's just biding his time until he crushes Gilbert like fortune cookie. They then talk about Mongo Vyle's match last week in which he defeated Kaz Hayashi and in a real shocker after the match Hayashi's manager Takako Inoue not only turned on him; but ran off with "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle. Poffo says while it was definitely a little surprising; it was mostly disgusting; and that seeing an angel like Inoue kiss someone like Vyle was so gross; Lanny needed mouth wash afterward. She accompanies Destruction Inc. to the ring for their next match.Tag-Team Match: The New Orient Express vs. Destruction Inc. S.D. Jones officiates this one as Yoshihiro Tajiri starts things off with Mongo Vyle. The match is hard hitting and fast paced with several pin attempts for both teams throughout; Tajiri wowing the crowd at one point when he leaps onto the top rope before launching onto Rhino with a hurrancanrana pin. "The Man-Beast" manages to kick out however and later has Tajiri looking for a tag after Rhino hits "The Japanese Buzzsaw" with a superplex off the top. He eventually gets it and later in the match Mongo Vyle is busy wailing on Taka Michinoku when Kaz Hayashi shows up at ringside. He is pleading with Takako Inoue who is giving him the cold shoulder. Rhino seems to be telling him to go back to the locker room. Meanwhile inside the ring Mongo Vyle notices what's going on and is just distracted enough for Taka Michinoku to nail him with a dropkick from behind sending him stumbling forward. As Vyle spins about disoriented; Michinoku shows some surprising strength as he quickly scoops Mongo up and just as quickly hits him with a back body drop which gets him the three count. After the match Rhino is angered and Kaz Hayashi seeing the danger he's in calmly heads to the back while apologizing. While Destruction Inc. regroups on the outside; Mr. Fuji gets on the mic. He tells us how last week his team The New Orient Express were robbed. Disgraced. By stupid American redneck. A so-called rebel named Doug Gilbert. But that's is okay. Honorable Japanese has alot of experience putting down rebellions. Big mouth upstarts. And next week in this ring; Tag-Team Champions; New Oerient Express; wil squash, silence both "Redneck Rebel" and his buddy "Wildfire" Tommy Rich as well. Mwahaha. When ECW returns "Jumping" Jim Brunzell is calling out to his teammate B. Brian Blair whom he's trying to catch up to. He does and Blair looks irritated. Jim tells Brian he wants this to stop. That they've been tag-team partners for almost ten years and he's sick of Blair giving him the cold shoulder. He says that he wishes he could still go a few more years; but everytime he gets inside that ring he's hurting lately. Brian tells him that if he's so fragile; maybe he should just go right now. That he's right; The Killer Bees have been teaming for almost ten years now. And it's been nothing but Blair carrying "Jobbing" Jim's dead weight. He tells Brunzell that it was his fault they never became Champions back in the WWF. And that if Blair was smart he would've left Brunzell over there jobbing when he got the call from Eric Bischoff. He doesn't need Brunzell and never did.
Brunzell looks hurt by this but seems to suck it up. He says he's sorry if Blair feels that way. And if it'll make him feel better he'll leave now. But he does thinks this is just the anger making Brian talk this way; and when he has time to think it over; Blair should give him a call. Brian just says "whatever" and turns to leave. Brunzell sighs but is soon knocked to the ground as B. Brian Blair turns about and clubs him! Jim drops like a sack of bricks and while he reaches up to rub his face Blair tells him on second thought he doesn't want him to leave. Because he wants to prove to the world that Jim Brunzell is the guy who's been holding the Bees back and before he scurries his sorry ass out of this business; Blair wants him inside that ring one on one. He storms off before Brunzell has time to respond.
Okerlund is disgusted by Blair's attitude; but Lanny says he always thought Brunzell was holding "The Killer Bee" back. They then discuss the two competitors in the next match; mentioning that neither man has had much success here in ECW of late and says that this could be the turning point for either of these young men. Lanny dubs the match "The Battle of the Losers" and sarcastically says he can't wait to see it. Before the match "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert comes out and openly mocks Kaz Hayashi's recent woes; using a horrible Japanese accident and squinting his eyes while crying about how Takako Inoue "no longer love me long time." Kaz Hayashi looks pissed as he storms down the ramp.Match: Doug Gilbert vs. Kaz Hayashi Both men look very impressive in this match which Danny Davis officiates. It's fast paced with several high spots including a dragon suplex and a springboard back elbow smash from Hayashi; though at times Gilbert relies on heel tactics including an eye poke and back rake to keep up with his quicker opponent. The match looks to be over when Kaz nails Doug with a sprinboard enziguiri kick. He's about to make the cover when Takako Inoue's music hits and she comes out to taunt him with a kiss she playfully blows to him. With Hayashi and the ref both distracted; Gilbrt hits Kaz with a low blow from behind before nailing him with the Michinoku Driver! He makes the cover and picks up the win. After the match Doug Gilbert falls to his knees and bows mockingly over the downed Hayashi."Rock You Like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions is playing as "Rock 'N Rol" Buck Zumhoff makes his way down to the ring where he dances a bit before handing the radio over to S.D. Jones. Steve Blackman's intro then hits as "The Silent Assassin" comes out and gives a martial arts demonstration with his Kendo sticks.Match: Buck Zumhoff vs. Steve Blackman Buck Zumhoff and Steve Blackman put on a solide match with several pin attempts including a near fall on Zumhoff after Blackman nearly takes "Rock 'N roll's" head off with a superkick. In the end however Buck Zumhoff gets the win from Jones after hitting a Tornado DDT.After the match we witness the arrival of ECW Champion "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson backstage. He is in street clothes wearing a leather jacket and sunglasses. He has a duffel bag under one arm. He turns down the hallway to see "Macho Man" Randy Savage putting the fear of god into someone as he pins them against the wall with his forearm. Upon closer inspection it's.... "The Superstar" Scott Taylor?! Arn hurries to the rescue and asks Savage just what in the hell he's doing. Randy Savage backs off and tells Anderson that he was just teaching the little punk some respect. That he got wise with him. Yeah. He tells AA that he'd best keep his kid on a leash. Otherwise next time "Macho Man" ain't gonna be so nice. Dig it.
Arn eyes Savage wearily as the former Champ exits as ECW goes to its final...Mean Gene welcomes us back from the final commercial break of the evening. He and Lanny tell us that Rick Rude asked for this match tonight after he was attacked by the tag-team Deep South last week during his Eastern States Title match with "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam. Okerlund reminds us that Rude wasn't an innocent victim by any stretch; having attacked both the Junkyard Dog and Dick Murdoch himself the day before ECW's first Pay Per View; the Wrestle Annual. Rick Rude Strip Theme then hits and he swaggers his way down to the ring wearing his robe. He has marks from JYD's chain on his face.
Entering the ring he takes the mic from Lady Alexandra and looking her up and down; tells us he has to say things are certainly improving here in ECW. He thens says speaking of improvements; the marks thos two tubs of lard put on his face last week certainly isn't one of them. But before he gets down to business; he'd like to know if one of these sweet Connecticut cherries out in the audience would like to help "The Ravishing One" with his robe? You?... You?... You right there come on up. Security helps the woman Rude selected come up into the ring and his strip music comes on again. The woman looks flustered as she removes Rick's robe and when she is finished he pulls her into her arms and kisses her deeply. She seems stunned by this. He then gets back on the mic and says that while he really isn't in the mood for such extracurricular sextivities; he wanted to prove a point to that doughy good ol' boy in the back. That even with his battered, busted face tonight "The Ravishing One" still has everything Dick Murdoch and his overweight canine will never have. Muscle defintion, looks, natural charisma; and...
Just then "Another One Bites the Dust" hits as a fired up Dick Murdoch storms onto the ramp mic in and and tells Rude he doesn't need any of that pretty boy bullshit to kick his ass.Main Event: Rick Rude vs. Dick Murdoch Rick Rude and Dick Murdoch lock up when Davis starts the match. Rude doesn't appear to be taking "Captain Redneck" seriously at first pushing him away before taunting him with light slaps her and there. This proves to be a mistake when Murdoch finally catches holding of him and begins laying into him with hard rights and lefts before whipping him into the ropes and making Rude airborne with a back body drop. He begins putting the boots to Rick as he scrambles up to his knees and Murdoch hits the pleading "Ravishing One" with several hard hitting Flair-style chops. When Rick falls back into the ropes; referee Danny Davis breaks them up. This gives Rude an opening and popping up he hits Dick with an inverted atomic drop before taking the Redneck down with a clubbing forearm across the back. Rude hits an elbow drop and staying down locks in and armbar. Murdoch howls in pain and seems to be in real trouble; but he fights his way slowly toward the ropes. Before he can grab it however Rude pushes the rope back with his foot just out of Dick's grasp. Davis move Rick's foot and while he is preoccupied; Rick gouges Murdoch's eyes. While "Captain Redneck" rolls on the floor holding his face Rick taunts the audience with his strip dance. Returning to his prey; Rick lifts Dick to his feet and attempts a suplex; but a surprsingly agile Redneck slips flips out landing behind Rude whom he counters with a neckbreaker! Dick makes the quick cover. 1!...2! Rude kicks out! Rude sits up looking stunned as Murdoch grabs him and begins hammering his skull. When Rick falls back; Dick storms about the ring "hulking up" as "The Ravishing One" gets up to his feet only to be taken down again by a clothesline and a cover! 1! 2! Rick kicks out again! Keeping on his opponent Dick Murdoch lifts Rude to his feet; but Rick nails him with a sitout jaw breaker before making a cover of his own! 1! 2! Murdoch kicks out! Now in control again Rude pulls Murdoch to his feets and begins chopping him across the ring into the ropes. Once Murdoch hits the ropes he continues with a barrage of punches until Davis counts to four. he then whips the Captain across the ring and nails him with the spinebuster! He makes a nonchalant cover and gets another two for his arrogance. Angry at Murdoch's persistence; Rude picks him up to his feet and knees him in the gut before leading him to the corner and seating Dick on the top turnbuckle seems to be setting "Captain Redneck" up for a crucifix powerbomb off the second rope. Dick however begins fighting back with furious elbows; catching Rick in the head. Turning himself about while still holding onto "The Ravishing One;" Dick Murdoch leaps off calf branding Rude before rolling him over to make the cover. 1!....2!..... Rude kicks out! 3! Staying on his opponent Murdoch grabs Rude in a headlock but Rick fights his way up to his feet only to be nailed with several punches and whipped across the ring. Dick ducks low for a back body drop. A little to early. And receives a kick to the face from Rude. As Dick Murdoch staggers back; Rick Rude sets him up in the Rude Awakening and hammers him into the mat. Making the cover he picks up the win.
Lights Fade.

12/21/94 - Hartford Civic Cent Hartford, CTMean Gene Okerlund welcomes us to another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling. With him as always is his broadcast partner; "The Genius" Lanny Poffo; coming to you tonight from the Hartford Civic Center in beautiful Hartford Connecticut. They recap a bit on last week's show before talking about tonight's Pay Per View caliber card which will see all of Eastern Championship's Champions in action. The Women's Title will be on the line as Women's Champ Beulah McGillicutty is set to defend her Title in a rematch from Wrestle Annual against former Champ "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore. The Tag-Team Champs The New Orient Express will be in non-Title action against the team of "Wildfire" Tommy Rich and "The Redneck Rebel" Doug Gilbert; this match stemming from an attack on Taka Michinoku by Doug during their match with The Lawlers two weeks ago. Poffo defends Gilbert; reminding us that "The Redneck Rebel's" intended victim was Brian Lawler and it isn't his fault Michinoku doesn't know how to duck. Okerlund then tells us he is excited about tonight's monster Main Event which will see two of ECW's Champions squared off as Heavyweight Champion "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is set to take on Eastern States Champion "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam in single's action. Neither Title will be on the line for this one; but according to Okerlund the battle will be epic.
Just then "Wild Eyed Southern Boy" by 38 Special hits as Doug Gilbert and Tommy Rich hits the stage. Gilbert says that old Mr. Fuji-san can talk about putting down rebels all he wants being the ancient one hasn't stepped foot in the ring in the past hundred some odd years; but there's one thing him and his flunkies should consider when messing with Gilbert. His family has been putting down Japs for generations. Grandpappy Gilbert took them down in WWII, Daddy Gilbert in Vietnam. At this point Rich steps in and points out to Doug that those were the Vietnamese. "The Redneck" Rebel says it's the same damn thing and that tonight he's gonna follow his family's tradition when he--
Just then he's cut off as The New Orient Express attack them from behind. Taka Michinoku lays into Gilbert while Tajiri assaults Rich with a number of kicks as the duo back their way down the ramp looking to escape. The Express still have control when they reach the ring and Tajiri and Taka roll their opponents inside. Taka seems to want first blood and after a brief debate with Yoshihiro in Japanese; he slides into the ring.Tag-Team Match: The New Orient Express vs. Doug Gilbert & Tommy Rich Tommy Rich and Doug Gilbert are like wolves and immediately starts stomping on Taka Michinoku as he enters. Referee S.D. Jones tries to put a stop to it; but "Wildfire" pushes him out of the way as "The Redneck Rebel" whips Michonku across the ring; Rich nailing Michinoku with an exploder suplex. When Jones threatens to disqualify them if one of them don't leave the ring; Tommy shrugs and leaves. Meanwhile Doug Gilbert gouges Taka's eyes while Jones is preoccupied and batters his head before lifting Taka to his feet to hit him with a vertical suplex of his own. He goes for the cover but Yoshihiro Tajiri makes the save with a diving elbow drop. When S.D. goes to warn Tajiri about interfering, Tommy Rich storms into the ring while Doug picks him up locking him in a full nelson. Rich begins stomping and punching the restrained Michinoku. Tajiri sees this and has seen enough. He shoves Jones aside and lets Rich have it with a face full of mist in full view of the ref! Tommy screams and clutches his face as he staggers backward toward the ropes; where Mr. Fuji pulls down the top rope with his cane; allowing Tommy to tumble out to the floor below. Jones calls for the bell DQing the Express; but that doesn't stop Tajiri from grabbing Gilbert from behind and hits him hard with a backbreaker over his knee. Tajiri then helps Taka up to his feet and Michinoku grabs Gilbert as he gets to his feet and clubs him over the head. He then yells something to Yoshihiro in Japanese. "The Japanese Buzzsaw" heads over to the ropes as Michinoku whips Doug toward him and as "The Rebel" hits them; Tajiri springs locking him into the Tarantula! Gilbert screams in pain as a vindictive Taka Michinoku runs at him and nails Gilbert with a huge dropkick while he is still in the hold! Gilbert hits th mat hard as Tajiri drops down to the floor below with Fuji. They then enter the ring to celebrate triumphantly with Taka over the still form of Doug Gilbert.Okerlund and Poffo discuss the match between The New Orient Express and the team of Doug Gilbert and Tommy Rich that we witnessed before the break. Lanny wonders if a win over the Champs by DQ earns them a shot for the Tag-Team Titles and Okerlund isn't sure. What he is sure of however is that Doug Gilbert won't be taking The Express lightly next time they meet. They then discuss Dick Murdoch's match with Rick Rude on last week's show; both men were impressed with Murdoch's showing even if he did lose in the end.The Lady Alexandra then makes the intros for the first time tonight.Match: Scott Taylor vs. Dick Murdoch It's obvious before Danny Davis even starts the match that Dick Murdoch is steal feeling the effects from his match last week. He puts up one hell of a fight against Scott Taylor who picks up a big win here following a leg hook saito suplex. We're then taken backstage where Doink the Clown is walking down the hallway with his monkey Isabella. He has a big sack slung over his shoulder and is dressed as Santa while the monkey has an elf outfit on. This can lead to nothing good...Once we're welcomed back from the break Lanny expresses his annoyance that he has to share airtime with that goof Doink the Clown. Gene reminds him that no one is keeping him here. They then discuss the ongoing feud between the tag-team Deep South and "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude which started in late November when following a match with Junkyard Dog; Rude assaulted both him and his partner Dick Murdoch with JYD's chain. Since then Deep South got a measure of revenge when they stopped "Ravishing" Rick from stealing the Eastern States Champion from Rob Van Dam. They also discuss the Dog's opponent here tonight "Iron" Mike Sharpe who defeated Matt Borne in a Loser Leaves Town match at Wrestle Annual; but hasn't had much luck since; losing to Ronnie Garvin the week following. "Another One Bites the Dust" then hits as Junkyard Dog appears on the ramp rattling his chain and barking at the crowd.Match: Junkyard Dog vs. Mike Sharpe This is a hard hitting match with alot of brawling from grisled veterans Junkyard Dog and Mike Sharpe. Both men make several pin attempts; and JYD surprises the crowd when he rallies back after being trapped in a monstrous bearhug by Canada's Greatest Athlete. The Dog looks like he's on the verge of winning it when Rick Rude's strip theme hits. This distracts Junkyard just enough for Mike Sharpe to nail him with a fireman's carry powerslam which gets him the three count from S.D. Jones.Sharpe seems happy with the victory and takes off as Rick Rude appears in the crowd. As the fans cut a path for him he grabs one of the women and plants a kiss on her before cockily continuing his way to the ring. Rude enters as Junkyard attempts to get to his feet and stomps him on the head knocking him back down to the mat. Rick tells JYD not to bother getting up. That's he's in a perfect position to give these Connecticut fans a preview of what they're going to see two weeks from now in Boston when he puts this Dog to sleep. And to good ol' "Mr. Wednesday Night" he hasn't forgotten about him. So he hopes he's done meditating, inhaling his incense; or whatever he does on a Saturday night. He'd better be well rested. Cause once "The Ravishing One" gets done with JYD; he's coming for his belt. You can bet on that. We're then taken backstage where we see Santa Doink approach two men having a discussion. Two men who look exactly like KAMA and Brickhouse Brown. Ho! Ho! Ho! He hands both men presents. Neither seems like they particularly want them. KAMA opens his first. It's a pair of brass knuckles? Doink mocks KAMA telling him he could certainly use them. KAMA is pissed and scares Dionk off; telling him if he's not careful he's gonna get them used on him. After Doink glees; KAMA asks Brickhouse what he got. He opens the box and his face goes white. KAMA asks what the hell's got him so spooked and looks into the box where we see... a top hat? When Eastern Championship returns from break Lanny Poffo is laughing about Doink's gifts and says maybe he got Mean Gene some hair in a can. Okerlund tells us to ignore the baboon before thanking us for joining them here tonight on TNN The Nashville Network. He reminds us that next week ECW will be coming to us live from the Providence Civic Center in Providence Rhode Island. They then discuss how Beulah McGillicutty won the Women's Championship from Jacqueline Moore back on December 1st at Wrestle Annual with a little help from "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs whom he's sure will be at ringside here tonight. Lanny defends Combs; saying it isn't her fault Jacqueline has two left feet. Okerlund reminds us that Moore is enacting her rematch clause here tonight.Women's Title Match: Beulah McGillicutty vs. Jacqueline Moore Beulah McGillicutty gets some offense in; but Jacqueline Moore dominates most of this match officiated by Danny Davis. Jacqueline looks to have it won in spite of Debbie Combs' attempts to distract her when she hits Beulah with a DDT laying her out. Combs however makes the save when she place McGillicutty's foot on the bottom rope before pointing it out to Davis. Realizing Debbie is behind it Jacqueline begins arguing with the blonde who jumps up and grabbing Moore's head dazes her with a hair pull hangman. Beulah McGillicutty is barely awake when she sees Jacqueline Moore backing towards her; but quickly schoolboys the former Champ and picks up the win. After the match Jacqueline is justifiably pissed as Debbie Combs grabs Beulah and the belt; before hauling ass to the back. We're then taken to the office of Eric Bischoff who's talking to a fired up Jim Brunzell. He tells Eric how he thought about letting what happened to him at the hands of B. Brian Blair last week slide. They've been friends for a long time. But he just can't get the way Blair has been treating him off his mind. He's having trouble sleeping. And he doesn't want the last thing he did in this company to be getting sucker punched by his best friend. He figures this is what Blair wants anyway and maybe it will settle things between them. So what he's asking for next week; is him and B. Brian Blair one on one. Eric mulls it over. A retirement match? He thinks he can do that. But on one condition. If Blair loses? He's out of here. Jim Brunzell doesn't seem to like this turn of events.Lanny Poffo is certain he wouldn't want to be in "Jumping" Jim Brunzell's shoes when "Mr. Moustache" B. Brian Blair learns about that match stipulation. Okerlund reminds us that Blair's name isn't really Mr. Moustache before agreeing that the stakes will be high in Brunzell's retirement match. Should Jim win; B. Brian Blair will be fired according to ECW President Eric Bischoff. Lanny then brings up Brickhouse Brown's present from Santa Doink again and wonders if he'll be wearing the top hat to the ring. Mean Gene is pretty sure considering the look on Brickhouse's face; that this will not be the case.Match: Rhino vs. Brickhouse Brown Brickhouse Brown looks more than a little distracted when S.D. Jones starts his match with "The Man-Beast" Rhino. Though Brown gets some offense in; this continues until Rhino takes out "The Man of the Hour" with The Gore striking spear for the three count. The camera then cuts to B. Brian Blair and Kaz Hayashi who're quietly eating in the cafeteria when the Christma Clown enters! Ho! Ho! Ho! He has presents for them. Kaz opens his and it's a... body pillow? He looks at Blair who just shrugs. Brian then opens his to find a... unsigned pink slip! Blair looks pissed and jumps to his feet; but Doink has vanished already.COMMERCIAL BREAK We're backstage when ECW returns and Doink the Clown has a present for Shane Helms! He hands it over and Helms opens it to find a superhero mask. Shane asks Doink what's up with that?! and chucks it.Mean Gene and Lanny welcome us back. Lanny hopes he wasn't a good boy this year. He doesn't like Doink's idea of a present. They then talk about Big Bad John and Chris Jericho; mentioning how they haven't seen much of them here at Eastern Championship of late. Okerlund is happy about this. He then informs us that the next match will be the debut match of Shane Helms on the active roster on ECW; having appeared once on ECW Slammin' Saturdays previously.Match: Shane Helms vs. Big Bad John SQUASH!! Big Bad John celebrates his big win with Chris Jericho while referee Danny Davis peels Helms off the mat. After the match we're taken backstage where Doink the Clown is handing "Iron" Mike Sharpe a present. Sharpe begrudgingly opens it and a pie springs out slamming him in the face. Doink finds this hilarious but Mike doesn't. He chases the clown down the hallway.Mean Gene welcomes us back from the final commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's big Main Event. Champion verus Champion as the ECW Heavyweight Champion "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is set to take on Eastern States Champion "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam. No Titles will be on the line in this surely epic belt. They then remind us how RVD won his Title back on February 9th of this year at the big event; King of the Mountain. Lanny wonders if there'll be a King of the Mountain style match in '95. Gene asks why; is Lanny considering competing? To which Poffo reminds us he can easily dispatch 30 men. With the power of his mind. Okerlund seems incredulous to this before talking about "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson's journey to the ECW Title which he finally won early this month at Wrestle Annual on December 1st. They then discuss the ramifications of a win here tonight for either man. Should he win Rob Van Dam could very well go on to be both the Eastern States and Heavyweight Champion. Some very heavy responsibility for such a young man. Arn Anderson may have less to win already wearing the most presiguous belt in the world; however "The Enforcer" is a fierce competitor and never steps into the ring with bringing his double A game.Main Event: Rob Van Dam vs. Arn Anderson After posing for the crowds; Rob Van Dam hops off the turnbuckle and shakes hands with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson before S.D. Jones starts the match. The two men walk about the ring sizing one another up before locking up. Rob moves in with a quick go behind but gets taken down with a snapmare by "The Enforcer;" who after several reversals traps RVD in a head scissors. Only momentarily however as the agile Van Dam jumps out and takes the seated Arn down with a sliding lariat. Back up and charging Anderson; Rob is soon dropped to the floor himself with a deep armdrag. Back on their feet RVD looks for the roundhouse kick, but Arn ducks it before countering with a clothesline which "Mr. Wednesday Night" in turn dodges. The two men stop in the middle of the ring and stare at one another before Rob Van Dam points to the shoulders taunting AA as the fans chant "Rob... Van... Dam!" Arn responds by kicking the showboat in the gut and attempts to follow that up with a fireman's carry slam; but Van Dam slides free and tries for a legsweep which Arn just jumps over. When Rob goes for another kick, Anderson grabs his leg but Rob Van Dam pops up with his other leg. Arn ducks that kick but is immediately caught off guard as Van Dam flips and rolls the Heavyweight Champ up! 1!... 2! Arn reverses! 1! Van Dam kicks out! Arn still has him though and nails a suplex on the Eastern States Champ before making the cover. 1!...2! Rob kicks out again and rolls out of the ring. Arn waits patiently in the ring while Van Dam recovers on the outside. AA gets the crowd behind him and RVD rolls back in as Davis counts to three. The two Champs eye one another wearily before they go to lock up once again, but Van Dam instead kicks "The Enforcer" in the gut and begins punching and kicking him back toward the ropes where he goes for the Irish whip! Anderson reverses it however and on the rebound he hits Rob with a back body drop. Before RVD has a chance to recover Arn is ojn top of him hitting him with hard rights and clubbing forearms before sending him into the ropes. "Mr. Wednesday Night" ducks a clothesline; but when he attempts to counter; Arn spins about and connects with a second. Lifting Rob back to his feet, Arn clobbers him before running him face first into the turnbuckle. He then attempts to whip him across the ring; but Van Dam reverses and sends Arn crashing into the corner. Charging his opponent; RVD hits AA with a monkey flip that sends "The Enforcer" flying through the air and crashing to the mat. Before he can recover Van Dam is on him connecting with several kicks and stomps. Moving to lift Arn to his feet, Rob is in for a surprise when Anderson comes awake and begins hammering on the Eastern States Champ. He follows up with a kick and attempts for a vertical suplex; but RVD blocks it and after a failed attempt at a suplex of his own; settles for a DDT. He kicks Arn in the head before making the cover and comes away with a two. Looking a little furstrated Van Dam goes up top, but a dazed AA is back up on his feet and manages to crotch Rob in the corner before climbing up and connecting with a superplex! Both men are down on the ground writhing in pain for a while as Jones checks on them. Anderson is up first and rolls over onto his opponent. 1!...2!.... Rob kicks out! 3! Back on his feet Arn attempts to lift Van Dam; but his opponent catches him with a right hook before launching him into the corner with an armdrag. AA looks like he hits it pretty hard and RVD moves in with a series of stomps. Arn is bleeding and Jones stops Van Dam to check on him. "The Enforcer" moves the ref out of his way however and gabbing Van Dam throws him into the corner and begins hammering on him. Grabbing him he whips him into the corner and charges; but Van Dam hits him with an elbow to the face and hopping up onto the second rope drops Anderson with a kick to the chest. He goes for the Rolling Thunder! But Arn rolls out of the way! And getting up he grabs Van Dam's leg looking for the figure four! Rob fights and pushes Arn off however and as Arn pops up to his feet; RVD takes him right back down with a short clothesline. Van Dam stalks his prey and stomps Arn before getting the ref mad as he begins choking the Heavyweight Champ out on the bottom rope with a knee to the back. RVD breaks the hold as he is admonished by the ref. Arn Anderson is back up however and grabbing Van Dam by the shoulder spins him around right into a Spinning Spinebuster! He goes for the pin. 1!...2!... Rob kicks out! Lifting the dazed Eastern States Champ up he begins chopping and pounding him across the ring into the corner where he continues the assault. Whipping Van Dam across the ring Arn finds himself sent into the corner as Rob reverses it and charges in with a striking spear. He connects with another shoulder block before flipping backward and hitting a third knocking Anderson to the ground. Walking over the the Heavyweight Champ Rob Van Dam hits a jumping spinning legdrop before making the cover. 1!... Arn kicks out! Van Dam begins hammering Anderson as he gets to one knee; but Arn smacks him away before grabbing Van Dam up and hitting hits him hard with an inverted atomic drop. As Van Dam hits the ground; Arn grabs him from behind in a headlock and begins applying the pressure when the bell rings; ending the match. Arn Anderson lets Van Dam go and approaches referee S.D. Jones who delcares the match a Time Limit Draw! Anderson looks irritated and thr fans chant "five more minutes!" But the decision sticks and Arn turns to face Rob Van Dam who is back up on his feet. There's a tense momemnt where it looks like they will resume the match anyway; when Arn holds out his hand and the two men shake after a hard fought contest. We're then brought backstage where ECW President Eric Bischoff seems happy to be returning to his office. He's is shocked to find a huge box inside! He smiles and says that someone must want a raise. It's large and takes him several second to open it before we get a look inside and see...
Lights Fade.

12-28-94 Providence Civic Center Providence, RIMean Gene Okerlund welcomes us to the Providence Civic Center in Providence Rhode Island for another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling! With him as usual is his cohost "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. The two of them run down tonight's card which will see the Women's Champ Beulah McGillicutty in action, "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude take on "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman and in the action-packed Main Event it will be Killer Bee vs. Killer Bee as Jim Brunzell is set to face his longtime partner B. Brian Blair in Brunzell's retirement match. As an added stipulation; should Blair lose he'll be fired from ECW! All that and more here and the best two hours of wrestling on Wednesday Nights; Eastern Championship Wrestling! The Lady Alexandra then announces the competitors for tonight's opening contest.Match: Beulah McGillicutty vs. Leilani Kai Danny Davis officiates this one which sees "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs once again accompany Beulah McGillicutty to ringside. The former Women's Champ Leilani Kai dominates this one and nearly wins following both a German Suplex and a big boot. Combs is a constant pest at ringside however and gets McGillicutty the time she needs to kick out both times. Beulah rallies back and gets in some good offense but is no match for Kai who once again puts her down on the mat with a snapmare before going up top for the diving splash. Debbie pulls the top rope out from under "The Hawaiian Princess'" feet however and crotches her. Seeing her opponent prone on the top rope; Beulah McGillicutty uses the opportunity to hit a Frankensteiner off the top to score the win. Back from break ECW correspondent Douglas Williams is with "THE Killer Bee" B. Brian Blair who trash talks his former partner Jim Brunzell; calling him selfish and a has-been whom he's going to take out tonight without any effort at all. He says if that wasn't the case he'd have to double kick Brunzell's ass around this arena for getting that stipulation added to the match about him getting fired. He guesses that "Jumping" Jim just couldn't handle the fact Blair is still in his prime and can make it here on his own which is why Brunzell is looking to see Brian doesn't get that chance on his way out.
Gene Okerlund thinks Blair has been acting like a spoiled child of late. Lanny disagress saying that he's looking forward to seeing "Mr. Moustache" shine in single's competition after ridding him of the dead weight known as Jim Brunzell. They then talk about Junkyard Dog who's had trouble of late with "Ravishing" Rick Rude of late; a man he's set to fight next week here on ECW. Poffo says that's good news, because maybe after Rude wipes the floor with that fat out of shape has-been; it'll sink through to the Dog's thick skull he should retire like Brunzell is.Match: TAKA Michinoku vs. Junkyard Dog There's good back and forth between Junkyard Dog and the much younger Taka Michinoku who nearly scores the win here after hitting JYD with a missile dropkick off the top. Disaster comes for Michinoku however when he goes for a DDT on the Dog who fights his way out before hitting Taka hard with a massive headbutt which he follows up with th Thump! front powerslam which nets him the three count from referee S.D. Jones. Afterward JYD hams it up for the crowd with some barking.Big Bad John comes out to "Thunderkiss '65" by Rob Zombie accompanied by his "manager" Chris Jericho. "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" says that while his friend John is a man of few words; he is of course a man of many. Which is why Big Bad has given him permission for him to speak on his behalf here tonight. He says that his man Big Bad John should by rights be the Eastern Heavyweight Champion; not "The Enporker" Arn Anderson. He claims that John was robbed back in the number one contender's Tournament. That Big Bad John defeated The Blitzkrieg for chrissakes! (by DQ) Only then to be eliminated by that no-talent hack Steve Corino who not only cheated (he did) but also doesn't even work for the company anymore! What the hell's up with that? He then tells us that he's not here to talk about the past however. He's here to talk about Big Bad John becoming the next ECW Champ! He says that last week we witnessed the beginning on Big Bad's rise to greatness when he squashed that no-name punk and tonight he's going to do one better by defeating that legend in his own mind; Dick Murdoch!Match: Big Bad John vs. Dick Murdoch To his credit Dick Murdoch does put up a fight; but Big Bad John takes him out with a running clothesline after dominating the entire match. Jericho makes sure Davis raises both him and John's hands in victory. When ECW returns from break we're taken backstage where Jim Brunzell is seen leaving the office of ECW President Eric Bischoff. He is soon joined by his former tag-team partner... Greg Gagne?! Brunzell seems surprised to see him and Greg tells him that he has been watching and to not to worry about what that blowhard B. Brian Blair has to say. That it wasn't too long ago he retired himself and it was one of the better decisions he's made. Greg says that he wanted to come here to show his support of his fellow High Flyer. This seems to have cheered Brunzell up and he thanks him for coming out. They agree to get together after the show.
Okerlund puts Greg Gagne over as a class-act unlike Blair. He and Lanny then talk a bit about Destruction Inc.'s new valet Takako Inoue who Lanny thinks is quite foxy. They talk about how she left Kaz Hayashi (in tears) for "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle earlier in the month and Poff jokes about Hayashi's attempts to get her back since then; calling Kaz a joke. "Mean" Gene reminds us that Doug Gilbert has also had issues of late; his against The New Orient Express. Lanny says that if "The Redneck Rebel" is smart he'll keep his issues to himself. Which of course he won't. He claims seeing that dropkick Taka Michinoku gave Gilbert while Yoshihiro Tajiri had him in the Tarantula gave his grandma chest pains. And she's been dead for 10 years. Tag-Team Match: Gilbert/Rich vs. Destruction Inc. The match is about to get underway with Doug Gilbert and Rhino starting things off when Kaz Hayashi comes out on the ramp. Kaz has a microphone in his hand and he addresses Mongo Vyle curtly. In Japanese. Vyle obvisiously doesn't know what he's saying and neither does anyone else present when Hayashi points to the big screen. On the screen music starts as it translates what Kaz just said.
Gilbert, Rich, Mongo Vyle and Rhino just look on in disbelief as all Hayashi's grievances are aired. It's a long, long... long list. Finally Mongo Vyle has had enough and gets out of the ring. He grabs Takako Inoue by the arm and tells Hayashi that if he wants the tramp; he can have her. Kaz looks thrilled and comes down to ringside where Vyle pushes Inoue toward Hayashi; who in turn clobbers him! Vyle laughs is ass off as Kaz falls to one knee where Mongo begins stomping a mud-hole into Hayashi. Rhino soon joins in on the fun and Destruction Inc. puts the boots to the downed man when they're interrupted by...Doug Gilbert?! "The Redneck Rebel" isn't looking for a fight however. He just says that he's got a problem with Taka Tajiri here too and wants himself a piece. Vyle doesn't see fit to correct Gilbert's mistake and allows Doug to cut in as the three men destroy Hayashi. Referee S.D. Jones moves to step in; but is cut off by "Wildfire" Tommy Rich when the Kaientai Theme hits and...The New Orient Express arrives on the scene! Mr. Fuji has a mic in his hand while his men rush down to make the save. Fuji tells Destruction Inc. and friends that while his fellow country man might be a wanton short of wanton soup; he isn't about to sit back and watch naturally dumb, fat Americans go all Pearl Harbor on one of his countrymen. And that New Orient Express shall even odds. Mwahaha!
Down at ringside The New Orient Express attack Destruction Inc. leaving a stunned Doug Gilbert to fend for himself. Yoshihiro Tajiri lets lose with a blast of Asian mist that sends Vyle and Rhino scrambling to the back and a rejuvenated though bloody Kaz Hayashi is back up and fries Gilbert's brain with a monstrous superkick. He hits the ground hard but manages to escape to the back himself as The New Orient Express take over the ring.
It takes a shocked "Wildfire" Tommy Rich a moment before he realizes he's been left alone in the ring with them and even referee S.D. Jones wishes him luck before leaving the ring!Rich looks to follow him but is halted with a cane to the back of the head by "The Diabolical One" Mr. Fuji! Rich falls to his knees and pleads with the men to let him go as they circle like vultures. Fuji pats Tommy on the head and tells him to stand. Just then however Kaz Hayashi superkicks him in the chest sending him hurtling back into the ropes! As he hits the ropes Tajiri locks him into the Tarantula! The crowd comes alive but surely they aren't going to do it again! Taka Michinoku gets a running start before nailing Tommy Rich hard across the chest with a dropkick while he's still locked in the Tarantula!
Mr. Fuji laughs malevolently as he informs us that the "Wildfire" has been put out and that the same fate awaits any American stupid enough to cross the honorable Japanese. The camera pans onto the motionless body of Tommy Rich as ECW heads to...Mean Gene welcomes us back to ECW and reminds us that next we'll they'll be coming to us live from the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center in Bostom Massachusetts. He tells us while tickets are sold out for the show; those folks at home can tune in as usual on Eastern Championship's home station of TNN, The Nashville Network. He and Lanny then discuss Rick Rude's ongoing feud with the tag-team Deep South; concentrating on Rude costing Junkyard Dog his match last week against Mike Sharpe before attacking JYD himself.Match: Rick Rude vs. Steve Blackman Steve Blackman gives Rick Rude a run for his money getting a two count after hitting a fisherman's suplex and trapping "The Ravishing One" in a guillotine choke for a bit. Rick Rude pulls through however and defeats him decisively with a Rude Awakening for the three count from Davis.
"Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen then hits and Junkyard Dog marches down the ramp. Rick Rude eyes JYD as he enters the ring and gets in his face. The Dog tells Rude that it's good to see he's capable of fighting a fair fight, that "The Ravishing One" can do something other than kick a man when he's down. And that next week Rude had better be prepared to get bit. Cause if there's one thing the Junkyard Dog knows how to do it's fight. And that's why next week Rick is gonna find out he's bit off more than he can chew. Cause every dog needs a bone to chew on. And next week Rick Rude is gonna be JYD's.
Rude rubs his chin cockily before turning away to leave. Just then however he comes back swinging; but Junkyard ducks the punch! The Dog lets Rude have it; sending him stumbling back into the ropes. "The Ravishing One" looks pissed as he drops and rolls from the ring rubbing his sore chin. He and JYD yell at one another as Rude backs his way up the ramp. ECW correspondent Doug Williams is now with Killer Bee "Jumping" Jim Brunzell. Brunzell tells Williams that he understands B. Brian Blair is disappointed with him for retiring. But that doesn't excuse his actions of late. Regardless he isn't going to let Blair ruin his last night as a professional wrestler. He's had a great run starting back in 1972 when he was only 22 years old and since then has spent 22 years in the business. Some people don't last 2 months here and he's wrestled for some of the greats; the AWA, the NWA; before hitting the big time with the WWF and now ECW. He's been mid-Heavyweight Champ twice and Tag Champ six times. There're alot of people to thank. Verne Gagne who trained him and of course his son Greg of course. They gave him his start. But there were many other people who helped him along the way including Blair and Eric Bischoff; without which he might not have had this last great run. Last he'd just like to thank the fans whether they loved him or hated him. It's been a blast. Eric Bischoff then shows up and shakes Brunzell's hand wishing him his best.Okerlund and Lanny then bring us back to ringside where Mean Gene tells us while he hasn't always agreed with the tactics used by The Killer Bees in the past; on his way out Jim Brunzell is proving to be a class act. Lanny mockingly agrees saying he's all choked up to see him go. Match: KAMA vs. The Blitzkrieg The Baron Von Raschke is unusually quiet for this one as his charge The Blitzkrieg tears KAMA apart before stepping on him for the pin from S.D. Jones. After the break we see "Jumping" Jim Brunzell headed toward the ring when he is stopped by Eastern Heavyweight Champion "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson who shakes his hand and wishes him luck out there. Once Brunzell thanks him and exits we hear the distinct voice of "Macho Man" Randy Savage calling out to Arn. When he turns Savage is says hello to the "World Chump." He is with Debbie Combs and... Steve Corino? Randy gestures to Corino telling Anderson to check him out; "The Macho Man" has a little buddy now too. He then orders Steve to hurry up and get his bags.
We're then brought back to ringside where Mean Gene welcomes us back from the last commercial break of the evening. He calls Savage an idiot. Lanny actually agrees with him for once. They then talk about the events leading up to tonight's Main Event starting with "Jumping" Jim Brunzell's decision to retire. They discuss his Killer Bees tag-team partner B. Brian Blair's annoyance over this and ended up clubbing Brunzell two weeks ago. Since then "Jumping" Jim requested one last match against his old teammate and was granted it; with the added stipulation that should Brunzell win; Blair will be fired as well! Poffo is outraged about that and agrees with Brian Blair that Jim Brunzell is both selfish and the person to blame here. An annoying buzzing is heard.
Alexandra: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Gary, Indiana weighing 222 lbs. he is "THE Killer Bee" B. Brian Blair!
Blair is booed as he enters the ring with referee Danny Davis. An annoying buzzing is heard.
Alexandra: And introducing his opponent this evening making his way from White Bear Lake, Minnesota weighing 235 lbs.; he is "Jumping" Jim Brunzell!Main Event: Jim Brunzell vs. B. Brian Blair Jim Brunzell waves to the fans who cheer him on his way out before extending his hand to B. Brian Blair who slaps it away. The two men size one another up and Blair plays a bit of keep away with his former partner before they finally lock up. B. Brian immediately strikes with a knee to the gut and hammers "Jumping" Jim with an elbow to the back. He proceeds to press his advantage headbutting Brunzell before hitting an elbow to the back of the head. Letting Jim up he lets him have it with a right hook. He then whips him across the ring and connects with another knee to Jim's gut before disrespectfully throwing him out of the ring. Jim rubs his head on the outside while Blair taunts him inside the ring. Looking a bit dazed "Jumping" JIm climbs up onto the apron where Brian greets him with a punch to the face. Brunzell hangs on though and hits back. The two men trade punches for a bit before getting the better of Blair; Brunzell uses the ropes to spring over him a connects with a sunset flip for two. Brian kicks out and soon finds himself in an arm wrench which Jim cranks up as Blair grits his teeth in pain. Taking Blair down to his knees Brunzell locks in an armbar. Blair fights his way back to his feet however and body slams his way free. He looks to follow up with an elbow drop; but Brunzell has moved out of the way sending him crashing into the mat. As Brian comes at him Brunzel takes his former partner down to the mat again with an armdrag before locking in a Japanese armbar; working Blair's arm over. When Blair refuses to tap; Jim lifts him up and slams him back into the mat while maintaining the hold. Fighting his way back up to his feet; Brian Blair backs into the ropes to get Danny Davis to break them up. Brunzell goes for Blair's damaged arm again, wrenching it; but this time Brian runs Jim back into the ropes and whips him across the ring before connecting with an elbow to the face on the rebound. Blair shakes his arm out before putting the boots to Brunzell. Climbing up to the second rope B. Brian stalks his prey and as Brunzell gets back up to one knee he leaps off with a kick to the face. Going for the cover he gets a two. Lifting his opponent back up to his feet, Blair runs Brunzell face first into the top turn buckle before dropping him with a snapmare and stomping on his face. As Brunzell recovers Blair locks in a headlock and looks to be trying to take Jim down with a sleepr hold. Jim Brunzell looks to be fading for a while; but battles back despite Blair trying to keep him down with the occasional punch to the head. Fighting his way up to his feet Brunzell pushes Brian across the ring into the ropes; but on the rebound Blair nails Jim with a right hook.
