09/07/94 - The Barre Municipal Auditorium Barre, VTOkerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans. I'm "Mean" Gene Okerlund here at The Barre Municipal Auditorium in Barre, Vermonet. Thank you for joining us here for another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling.
Poffo: Great use of alliteration Gene.
Okerlund: Excuse me?
Poffo: Never mind.
Okerlund: Ahem. With me here at ringside as always is "The Insufferable" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: True "Genius" is often reviled by small minds Gene. But enough with the intros; everyone knows who I am. Let's get to the wrestling shall we? Tonight we have; as Gene would say; a stupendous card lined up. One half of the Tag-Team Champions will be in action as "The Man-Beast" Rhino is set to take on "Mr. Moustache" B. Brian Blair.
Okerlund: He's not actually called that folks.
Poffo: Stuff it Gene. The monster known as The Blitzkrieg is also set to compete. Let's hope that "Maniac" Matt Borne brings a bodybag with him. He's going to need one. Okerlund: Matt Borne is more than capable of holding his own Lanny. It's sure to be one hell of a contest. In addition to those matches; Doink the Clown is also scheduled to make his return tonight here at Eastern Championship.
Poffo: Doesn't that guy have a kids party to bomb at?
Okerlund: And in tonight's Main Event we'll witness the former Tag-Team Champs The New Orient Express in action against The Lawlers in the third of four qualifying matches for the Four-Team Tag-Team Elimination Match at ECW's next Big Event Hotter Than Hell; coming to you live right here on TNN September 21st.
Circus music then hits as Doink the Clown appears on the ramp leading his pet monkey Isabella.
Poffo: It's good to see it's alright.
Okerlund: Concern for another human being Lanny? I thought you hated Doink.
Poffo: Don't get excited. I meant the monkey Gene.McGillicutty: The folowing Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first accompanied by Isabella, weighing 243 lbs.; and hailing from the wrong side of the Big Top; he is "The Sultan of Shadow Puppetry" Doink the Clown.
Doink hops into the ring with referee Teddy Long and waves to the fans. "Jailhouse Rock" by The Blues Brothers replaces the Circus music as Devon Hughes appears on the ramp with Spike Hughes in tow.
Devon: Testify!
Poffo: Looks like everyone is bringing their pets to the ring tonight.
McGillicutty: And his challenger from New Rochelle, New York weighing in at 280 lbs.; and accompanied to the ring by Spike Hughes; he is Devon Hughes.Match: Doink the Clown vs. Devon Hughes Devon Hughes locks up with Doink the Clown as the Match begins. At the onset Devon overpowers Doink and pushes him back hard before he begins wailing on him. Hughes keeps up his momentum and dominates The Clown, scoring a near pinfall after a back body drop and later after a clothesline. Hammering Doink up against the ropes; Devon is caught off guard when Doink reaches up and jabs him in the eyes. As Hughes reels away, The Clown grabs him by the head and runs him across the ring; leaping over the ropes and nailing Devon with a hairpull hangman. Doink gets back into the ring and continues his assault on Hughes; getting a two count after hitting his opponent with a DDT. After barely escaping The Stump Puller inverted Boston crab; Devon makes a come back after Doink whips him across the ring; when he nails The Clown with the jumping corkscrew back elbow smash of the rebound. Doink doesn't stay down long however and the two men go punch for punch in the middle of the ring until suddenly Teddy Long is distracted by somthing on the outside of the ring. It's Doink's pet monkey Isabella! The ape is flailing its arms about on the outside; drawing the ref and the crowd's attention. Meanwhile inside the ring Doink pulls Devon in close and nails him hard with a knee to the groin. Hughes falls to his knees in pain while Doink the Clown removes one of his shoes and grabbing it by the toe; slams Devon Hughes in the head with the heel! Devon falls to the ground like he's been hit with a brick while Doink makes the cover. On the outside; Isabella has settled down and Teddy Long returns his attention to the Match where he counts the 1-2-3 giving Doink the win.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome back. Before the break we witnessed some unusual behavior from the returning Doink the Clown in his match against Devon Hughes.
Poffo: You mean he won?
Okerlund: No Lanny. The fact the no good fink cheating to get the win; using his shoe.
Poffo: I believe that's called a heel turn Gene.
Okerlund: Whatever it was. I didn't like it. We have enough cheats in this business.
"Debonaire" by Dope hits as Rhino appears on the ramp with his Tag-Team Title draped over his shoulder. Right behind him is his teammate Mongo Vyle.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way down to the ring now from Detroit Michigan, weighing in at 270 lbs; and accompanied at this time by Mongo Vyle; he is "The Man-Beast" Rhino.
Rhino climbs into the ring and paces about as an annoying buzzing sound is heard. B. Brian Blair hops onto the ramp with Jim Brunzell in tow.
McGillicutty: And his opponent from Gary, Indiana weighing 222 lbs. and accompanied by "Jumping" Jim Beunzell; he is one half of The Killer Bees; B. Brian Blair.Match: Rhino vs. B. Brian Blair Referee S.D. Jones starts the match and the two men lock up. Rhino dominates early in the match when Rhino gets behind B. Brian Blair who is unable to escape Rhino as he hits a German Suplex. From there "The Man-Beast" batters Brian about the ring; getting a near fall following a back body drop. Halfway through the match however Jim Brunzell reaches into the ring and trips up Rhino who is about to take Blair's head off with a clothesline. Instead the Tag Champ falls flat on his face and Brian capitalizes putting the boots to him. This of course angers Mongo Vyle who chases Brunzell around the ring for two laps before "Jumping" jim escapes up the ramp. From there Blair attempts to keep Rhino down on the mat and works him over before locking in the sleeper hold. "The Man-Beast" begins to fade, but just when he looks like he's out he rallies back and fighting his way to his feet taking The Killer Bee with him. Blair hangs on for dear life, but Rhino uses this to his advantage as he runs to the corner and swinging around crushes Blair into the turnbuckle. Rhino stumbles away holding himself up as Brian collapses to the floor. Having caught his breath Rhino stalks his prey and as a dazed B. Brian Blair gets to his feet; he sprints across the ring and connects with The Gore to get the win.
Okerlund and Lanny then talk about how Rhino as one-half of the Tag-Tag Team Champs Destruction Inc. will be participating in the Four-Team Elimination Match at ECW's second Big Event; Hotter Than Hell. As will The Killer Bees. Lanny says that it's unfair that Destruction Inc. will have to face three other teams, six men in total just to retain their Titles. Gene agrees with this; but says that Rhino and Mongo Vyle are both big strong individuals and they knew what they were getting into when adding themselves to the ranks of ECW's brutal Tag division. He says that Destruction Inc. has been tearing their way through Eastern Championship's roster of late and he has no doubt they can pull off another win in two weeks. Poffo agrees with this.Match: Velvet McIntyre vs. La Diabolica Danny Davis starts up the Match and Velvet McIntyre locks up immediately with La Diabolica. The two women fight for leverage; but La Diabolica obviously losing the contest of strength drops to the ground and drops McIntyre with a toe hold. From there she sprints across the ring and comes running in with a baseball slide to Velvet's face before making the cover. She gets a two count. Diabolica keeps up the assault on McIntyre until following an Irish whip Velvet connects with a surprise hurrancanrana on the rebound. Lifting La Diabolica to her feet Velvet trades punches with the masked woman before reaching in and catching her around the neck; nailing her with a side Russian legsweep. Velvet and Diabolica battle back and forth for a bit until McIntyre hits a vertical suplex on her opponent and goes for the pin. The luchadoress refuses to stay down however and hazily makes her way to her feet while Velvet McIntyre goes up top and leaping off hits a flying crossbody that gets her the three count.Gene thanks the fans at home for joining us here at Eastern Championship Wresting on our home channel TNN, The Nashville Network. He then reminds us that next week ECW will be coming to us live from The Recreation and Convocation Center in Albany, New York.
Rick Rude's strip Theme then hits as he makes his way down to the ring. He gets inside and takes the mic from Beulah McGillicutty whom he blows a kiss. He then gets on the mic and says how since coming to Eastern Championship Wrestling he's had one thing and one thing alone on his agenda. And that's turning the Women's division into his own private harem. Having done that already however; he set his eyes on the Eastern Heavyweight Championship. That as arguably the most athletic. Undeniably the most charismatic. And undisputably the most perfect physical specimen of manhood on this roster; the ECW should belong to him and him alone. That if "The Macho Man" was honest; he'd come down from the back, walk on down the ramp; and hand the Title over to its rightful owner. Along with Debbie Combs. But he's a realist. He knows that won't happen. So instead he went ahead and fought to earn it the old-fashioned way. He beat the Champ dead to rights in this very ring. Got his Title shot. And last week? He was on his way to doing it again. When that no good coward "The Soul Stealer;" Papa Shango and that idiot of his; came down to this ring and took what was rightfully his. Stole his night to prove undoubtedly that he's the best damned wrestler in this arena. In any arena. And for that he's going to make Papa Shango pay. Maybe not tonight. Maybe not tomorrow night. But one day, when he least expects it. Papa Shango is going to look into that crystal ball of his. And he's going to see Rick Rude staring back.
Rude then hands McGillicutty the mic back and turns as the crowd comes alive. Turns right into a chairshot from Brickhouse Brown!Brown begins beating on Rude with the chair as Papa Shango makes his way into the ring behind him. "The Soul Stealer" tears the mic from Buelah's frightened hands. Papa Shango then stands over the battered Rick Rude and tells him that he has consulted with the dark Gods. Gazed over his charts. And that the stars have aligned. The Dark Circle is closing. And Rude shall be its next victim. He hoarsely tells Rude that he accepts his challenge. That if he wants to face Papa Shango; he's on next week.
Okerlund and Lanny then talk about The Dark Circle since their debut here on ECW and how they've been a dominant force, taking out the likes of Jerry Lawler and Rick Rude in the past. Lanny questions how smart Papa Shango is in accepting this challenge however; being he has a Championship Match with Eastern Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage just two weeks away."ICh tu der weh" then plays as The Blitzkrieg arrives on the ramp with his manager The Baron Von Raschke. The Baron tells the American worms that he notices that it is Wednesday; which Lanny thinks is very perceptive of him. What Von Raschke also notices is that while it is Wednesday; that fool "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam is nowhere in sight. He wonders if he is home in his bed crying in his pillow, mending his broken, battered body; having nightmares of what "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg has wrought on his life. He says that he hopes RVD feels better in time to defend the Eastern States Championship at Hotter Than Hell. But if not; he can always save himself some pain, some future torment; by mailing the Title to The Republic of Germany; care of The Baron Von Raschke.Match: The Blitzkrieg vs. Matt Borne "Maniac" Matt Borne goosesteps around the ring before giving The Baron Von Raschke the Hitler salute; which Raschke looks pleased about until he turns it around to give him the middle finger. The fans cheer this as the Baron screams for his Monster to destroy Borne. The Maniac has other ideas however and puts up one hell of a fight against The Blitzkrieg. While never getting "Mangler's Monster" off his feet, he does come close following a running shoulderblock after bounces off the ropes. He further frustrates The Baron and The Blitzkrieg by kicking out of a chokeslam, a big boot; and powerslam at different points throughtout the match. The fans get behind him; but in the end with Von Raschke cheering him on; The Blitzkrieg hoists Mat Borne up into the air and running into the corner brutally powerlamming him onto the top turnbuckle; using Borne's own move against him to get the three count from Long. When Eastern Championship Wrestling returns from break the fans are raining down a chorus of boos at Jerry "The King" Lawler and his son Brian Lawler. Jerry tells the fans to shut their fat faces and says that if anyone thinks hillbillies are a Southern phenomenon; well then they must've never stepped foot in Vermont. He tells the fans that they should be happy he's here in the ring. After all; it was their precious hero Arn Anderson; "The Enforcer" that called him out to the ring tonight. That last week he called Lawler a coward. And if there's one thing "The King" hates worse than being called a coward; it's a liar. And ol' AA is guilty of doing both. He then addresses Arn telling him that he got his wish. That he is in the ring. So for Anderson to come on down; because the King's Court is in session.Arn Anderson then appears on the ramp with Scott Taylor. Instead of remaining on the ramp he heads down to the ring and gets real close to "The King" whom he looks dead in the eye. He tells Jerry Lawler that there's a reason he called him a coward and a liar. It's because it's the truth. And while AA is aware that the truth often hurts; it's going to be nothing to the world of pain Jerry and his son are going to be when they step into the ring with him at Hotter Than Hell.
Brian Lawler then takes the mic from his father and tells Arn that growing up in the business; watching Arn Anderson wrestle was one of the highlights. So today standing in the ring at odds against him isn't something he ever thought he'd do. But he's seen his father try to make amaends with AA. Try to stand up and be a man like he taught him; and take responsibility for what he did. And all he's seen "The Enforcer" do is make a fool of his dad. Treat him like he is beneath him. Like he's a nobody. And that while he used to respect AA; now he just thinks of him as an asshole.
With this Arn Anderson pulls back and is about to clock Brian; when "White Train" by Tito & Tarantula hits. All four men look toward the ramp as Eric Bischoff swaggers out onto the ramp. He tells them all to slow down. Cool off. He then tells them while he understands that these two groups have a problem with one another and want to settle it; Eastern Championship Wrestling is a business. And one important rule of business is promotion. Which is why he doesn't want any of them wasting their energy here tonight. Not in Vermont of all places. He says that he's already unsure if Rob Van Dam will be able to compete in two weeks at Hotter Than Hell. Isn't sure if the Eastern States Championship will be defended. And that's enough on his mind. He doesn't need anyone else too injured to compete. So he wants all four men. Arn Anderson. Jerry Lawler. Brian Lawler. And Scott Taylor to all shake hands. Right now. And save all that anger. All that rage. All that aggression. For Hotter Than Hell. Right here on TNN September 21st.
The four men then begrudgingly eye one another before shaking hands all around. Bischoff then calls for the Lawlers to come to the back with them. He has business to discuss. Once the Lawlers leave Irish Folk music is heard as Erin O'Grady appears on the ramp and tosses gold coins to the crowd from his little cauldron.Match: Scott Taylor vs. Erin O'Grady Arn Anderson shakes hands with S.D. Jones before exiting the ring. He sticks around to watch this hardfought battle that sees nearfalls for Erin O'Grady following the Irishcanarana and later the Hops Splash off the top. Scott Taylor nearly gets the win twice first following a float over DDT and after that a sunset flip over the top rope. "The Superstar" does pick up the victory over "The Leprechaun" when he locks in AA's figure four leglock after nailing O'Grady with a sitout jawbreaker over his head. Erin O'Grady tries to fight it but gives up the match via Submission. When Eastern Championship returns Lanny and Gene talk about the match just signed for Hotter Than Hell between The Lawlers and the team of Arn Anderson and Scott Taylor. Lanny wonders what happens if The Lawlers qualify for the four-team Tag-Team Elimination Match at Hotter Than Hell. Will they; could they compete in two matches in one night? Gene says that Jerry Lawler is an accomplished athlete and could pull it off if he needs too. They then talk about Scott Taylor's impressive win over Erin O'Grady and how Scott seems to have really picked up alot from his training with Arn Anderson. Lanny says it's not too impressive to win in a fight with "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady. All you have to do is show up. Gene says that O'Grady reminds him of Lanny Poffo. He always look impressive in the ring; but has trouble getting the job done. Poffo doesn't seem to know what to say to this.Match: Steven Richards vs. Jim Brunzell Referee Danny Davis starts the match as Steven Richards and Jim Brunzell lock up. From the start "Jumping" Jim has Richards' number and nearly takes him down with a sleeper hold. Richards battles back at the last second. He tries his best; but when Jim hits a missile dropkick off the top it looks like he's done for the night. When Brunzell goes for the cover however, the ref is nowhere in site. Getting up to investigate he sees Davis at the ropes arguing with Mongo Vyle at ringside. Turning back to Richards; Jim Brunzell is instead met with a charging Rhino who splits him in half with The Gore. Richards is groggily holding his head when "The Man-Beast takes him and throws him on top of The Killer Bee before rolling out of the ring. Richards seems a bit disorients; but hooks Jim Brunzell's leg anyway as Vyle heads back up the ramp and Davis counts giving Steven Richards the victory. After the match we're taking backstage where ECW interviewer Michelle Starr is standing by with "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho who is still wearing a neckbrace and Big Bad John. Starr introduces himself and says that he is very excited to be introducing a competitor who gets him as excited as Chris Jericho. Jericho says he hopes he doesn't get him too excited and Michele asks if it's possible to be too excited. Chris tells Starr to back up a little. Michele then says that the question on everyone's mind is if and when "The Loud-Mouth" will be able to compete to settle this tiff he's had with "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin. Jericho says that he'd love to teach that rebel from the retirement castle Ronnie Garvin a lesson; but the doctor still says he's too hurt to compete. He also says that Ronnie shouldn't worry. That he knows Garvin is living on borrowed time and he'll be healed sooner rather than later. So for "The Rugged One" to stick around with us a little longer. Starr suggests that maybe a massage would help Jericho's neck and that he's an expert in--Just then "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin approaches the trio. Starr attempts to talk to him; but Ronnie calls him a poof. He then tells Jericho that he's real sad to hear about his neck. And not for Chris to worry; because he doesn't plan on retiring anywhere anytime soon. He then says that being Jericho cannot seem to compete with him; he got Eric Bischoff to do him a little favor. He then holds up a piece of paper saying he has a note of his own. Only his note says he has a fight at Hotter Than Hell. A rematch in fact. Against Big Bad John.Gene welcomes everyone back from ECW's final commercial break of the evening. He and Lanny discuss how before the break another match for Hotter Than Hell was announced; Ronnie Garvin versus Big Bad John. Poffo says Garvin is nuts for asking to get in the ring again with John. That even in his prime Big Bad would've been a hanful for "The Rugged One."
They then discuss tonight's Main Event in which former Tag-Team Champions The New Orient Express will face off against The Lawlers. That this is the third of four qualifying matches for the Tag-Team Championship four-team Elimination Match at Hotter Than Hell. And how the last match will take place next week involving the current Tag-Team Champs themselves; Destruction Inc.Main Event: The New Orient Express vs. The Lawlers Once referee Teddy Long has successfully shooed Mr. Fuji out of the ring Taka Michinoku locks up with Jerry "The King" Lawler. Though Michinoku draws firstblood by taking The King down with a snapmare and trapping him in a rear chinlock; Taka soon finds himself on the losing end of the fight when Jerry fights his way back to his feet. He hammers Michinoku across the ring with a flurry of lefts and rights before whipping him across the ring and nailing with with a backbreaker. He goes for the pin; but Taka kicks out at two. Lifting Michinoku to his feet Jerry hammers the smaller man's back and head before attempting to powerbomb him. Taka counters by staying up on Jerry's shoulders and hammers on the head of The King before rolling him up for a two count. The two men pop back up at the same time and Jerry hits Taka with several punches before Michinoku starts driving him back with a barrage of kicks that end with a jumping roundhouse kick that sends Jerry back into the ropes, over them; and out of the ring. On the outside Brian Lawler helps his father up as Taka Michinoku runs across the ring and launches himself for a tope dive through the ropes onto the Lawlers knocking everyone including himself to the ground. Inside the ring Long begins the ten count. Brian is up to his feet first but cannot capitalize as Yoshihiro Tajiri is up on the apron and leaping off takes him down again with a hurrancanrana. Taka is soon back on his feet though and tries to lift Jerry Lawler. When he is unable to; he finally listens to the protests of his manager Mr. Fuji and gets back into the ring at 6. Lawler however soon gets to his feet himself and pushing past Fuji enters at 9. As he climbs into the ring Jerry is immediately hit with a running dropkick from Taka who lifting him into the air with some difficulty nails the Michinoku Driver. Jerry is down and out as Teddy starts the three count. Just after two however Taka receives a legdrop across the head as Brian Lawler comes off the top turnbuckle hitting the Tennessee Jam to break the cover. Brian puts the boots to Michinoku allowing his father time to recover. Getting up to his feet The King stumbles to his corner and makes the tag. Brian Lawler comes charging in and takes Taka Michinoku down with a clothesline. The another! And then another! He makes the cover but Taka kicks out at two. Trying to isolate him Brian grabs Taka's foot and drags him toward his corner. About half way through however Michinoku leaps up and nails a corkscrew kick! Brian falls to his knees and the flat on his face as Taka tags in his partner Yoshihiro Tajiri. Seeing his opponent down "The Japanese Buzzsaw" immediately looks to captalize by flipping Brian over and locking in the Boston Crab. Brian screams in pain as Tajiri puts on the pressures. Using his arms Brian crawls toward the ropes refuses to tap. He makes it! Long has a reluctant Tajiri release the hold and Brian uses the ropes to get to his feet. Yoshihiro charges at him looking to hit a jumping double axe handle; but Brian back body drops him out of the ring! Tajiri crashes down to the concrete floor with a thud and Teddy starts the 10 count again. Both Taka and Mr. Fuji rush to his aide. While Michinoku looks concerned, Fuji orders him to throw Tajiri back into the ring. When Taka refuses; Mr. Fuji picks him up himself and rolls him in. By this time Yoshihiro Tajiri is stirring so Brian Lawler scoops him up and hits a powerslam before going for the cover. 1...2... Tajiri kicks out! 3! Brian is amazed and runs back into the ropes to build momentum. As he is about to hit a double legdrop however Tajiri springs up and kicks Lawler in the face laying him out. His mind isn't on winning however as he stumbles over to his corner and makes the tag. Taka Michinoku hops over the ropes and goes after Brian; but it's too late. He's back on his feet and has tagged in Jerry Lawler; who catching Taka hits him with a hiptoss. Michinoku springs back up only to be hit with another. Grabbing his opponent Jerry puts him into a full nelson. Taka struggles in the mood and getting to his feet he back kicks Lawler in the gut freeing himself. As Jerry groans in pain Taka grabs him in a three quarter facelock before running up the turnbuckle and hits a Shiranui (slice bread # 2) laying Lawler out! The crowd cheers Michinoku on as he mounts the turnbuckle and leaps off landing a moonsault on The King! Taka goes for the cover as Brian Lawler comes running to the rescue. Tajiri however stops Brian in his tracks with a superkick as Teddy hits the three; Taka Michinoku scoring the pinfall on Jerry Lawler.
Lights Fade.

09/14/94 - The Recreation and Convocation Center Albany, NYMean Gene welcomes the Wrestling Fans to another exciting edition of Easter Championship Wrestling; today coming to you live from The RACC Recreation and Convocation Center in Albany, New York. He then introduces us to his broadcast partner "The Genius" Lanny Poffo. Lanny says it's good to be back in New York and that it can only mean one thing; that they're just a week away from ECW's second Big Event; Hotter Than Hell.
Poffo then complains how it's unfair for the ECW Tag-Team Champions Destruction Inc. to have to qualify for the Tag-Team Championship four team elimination Match on the 21st; and that as the Champions they should automatically qualify. Gene says he sees his point for once; but sees nothing wrong with Rhino and Mongo Vyle defending their belts here tonight against the team of "Canada's Great Athlete" Mike Sharpe and "The Maniac" Matt Borne.
Together they run down the rest of the night's matches; which will see both Jerry Lawler and Arn Anderson in action. Also a number one contender's Match for the Women's Title between Jacqueline Moore and Luna Vachon will take place. The winner of which will go on to face Champion "The Hawaiian Princess" Leilani Kai at Hotter Than Hell. And then there's tonight's huge Main Event in which "Ravishing" Rick Rude will be looking for some retribution against "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango for ruining his chances as the ECW Heavyweight Championship two weeks ago. They then send us to our first match of the evening. "Debonaire" by Dope hits.McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall and is for the ECW Tag-Team Championships. Introducing first at a combined weight of 596 lbs.; they are the ECW Tag-Team Champions Destruction Inc.; Mongo Vyle & Rhino.
Destruction Inc. lumber down to the ring and show of the Titles before handing them over to referee S.D. Jones. The Canadian National Anthem is then heard.
McGillicutty: And their challengers weighing in at a combined 525 lbs.; they are "Maniac" Matt Borne and Canada's Greatest Athlete "Iron" Mike Sharpe.Tag-Team Championship Qualifying Match: Destruction Inc. vs. Mike Sharpe & Matt Borne Matt Borne starts things off with Rhino and after barely locking up, he begins pummeling the Tag-Team Champ driving him into the corner. Taking "The Man-Beast" by the arm Borne whips Rhino hard across the ring and into the corner before charging in and nailing him hard with an elbow smash to the face. As Rhino stumbles forward "The Maniac" connects with a bulldog and goes for the pin. He gets a two count before Rhino kicks out. Putting the boots to the Champ he then picks Rhino up and pounds on his hands and back until Rhino slaps out. He begins trading punches with Maniac Matt and getting the better of Borne; whipes him across the ring; taking his head off with a big boot. He goes for the cover but just missing a two count. Grabbing his opponent up in a headlock Rhino beats and batters him while keeping Matt grounded. Unable to free himself, Borne soon finds himself hoisted up into the air for a vertical suplex from the Champ. Running across the ring Rhino waits for Matt to get to his feet. Rhino stomps his foot as the arena begins chanting "Gore! Gore! Gore!" Borne is up and Rhino rockets across the ring! Borne however sidesteps him and Rhino crashes through the ropes and out of the ring to the floor below while "The Maniac" makes the tag to Mike Sharpe. "Iron" Mike keeps on the apron and waits for the dazed Rhino to pick himself up before leaping off and hitting a clothesline on the Champ. He then lifts Rhino to his feet and beats his head into the apron before rolling him back in the ring. This annoys the ref; but Sharpe doesn't seem to care. Getting back in the ring Mike puts the boots to Rhino when suddenly the Champ springs up and flapjacks him! Backing over to his corner; Rhino tags in "The Machiavellian Mauler" Mongo Vyle. Mongo enters and begins stomping a hole in him. Lifting "Canada's Greatest Athlete" up to his feet he clotheslines him right back to the floor before putting him in a rear chinlock. Sharpe screams in pain before trying to fight out with a few blind punches to Vyle. Finally one connects hitting Mongo across the eye. He stumbles back while Sharpe gets to his feet and nails a suplex. Going for the pin; Vyle kicks out at two. Lifting the big man back to his feet proves to be a mistake for Sharpe when Mongo nails him with a shoulder thrust before throwing "Iron" Mike back and hammering him with several punches before spinning him about and hitting a back body drop laying him out. Mongo Vyle starts grinning menacingly as he points to the top turnbuckle and makes a flying motion. Slowly he climbs the turnbuckle and the fans cheer as he hams it up before launching his 326 lb. body into a big splash on Mike Sharpe. As S.D. Jones starts the count, "Maniac" Matt Borne enters the ring to break the cover; but Rhino is back in and nails him with The Gore striking spear as Jones hits the three; giving Destruction Inc. the win. When ECW returns to air "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin in street clothes has just left the office of Eric Bischoff. Someone calls his name. When Garvin turns it's "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho approaching him from down the hall. He walks up to Ronnie and attempts to shake his hand. "The Rugged One" refuses the offer. Jericho then tells him that's fine. That he's just realized what an idiot he's been these past few weeks and he wants to apologize. Garvin however isn't buying it and tells him that it hasn't been the past few weeks. That Jericho was born an idiot. Just then Big Bad John jumps Ronnie from behind! Garvin seems to have been expecting it however and swinging around nails Big Bad with a left hook. He then hits Jericho with a right and "The Loud-Mouth" complains about his neck which is still braced up. Ronnie doesn't care and keeps swinging; chasing off both men. He calls them goddamned punks before the camera cuts back to ringside.
Lanny and Gene discuss just went on. Poffo is amazed that Garvin isn't as much of an idiot as he thought he was. Okerlund tells Lanny that he knows it's hard for him to believe; but most humans have a few brain cells. That it's obvious Chris Jericho cannot be trusted. They then discuss the ongoing rivalry between the two men which started when Jericho choked him with his own towel. Then how later Ronnie attacked Chris after his Intercontinental Title shot against RVD, on to when Jericho had Ronnie tied up in the ring ropes and beat him with a chair and so on. They then talk about Ronnie Garvin's upcoming match with Big Bad John next week at Hotter Than Hell.
After this Okerlund talks about the next match being the debut of Kaz Hayashi here at ECW and says that Kaz is a tremendous talent from Japan; and was trained in part by ECW's own former Tag-Team Champion Taka Michinoku. He is to face off against Jerry "The King" Lawler; who has been having problems of late with not only Arn Anderson, but the fans as well; and pretty well damned near everyone according to Gene.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Setagaya, Japan weighing 190 lbs. and accompanied to the ring at this time by Takako Inoue; Kaz Hayashi.
Entering the ring with referee Danny Davis; Kaz shakes hands with him before courteously kissing the hand of Takako while dropping to one knee before her. Rising; he hands her his robe and helps her out of the ring. The Bill Conti Overture then plays.
McGillicutty: And his opponent this evening weighing 243 lbs. from Memphis, Tennesee; he is Jerry "The King" Lawler.Match: Kaz Hayashi vs. Jerry Lawler Kaz Hayashi bows to Jerry Lawler before locking up; causing "The King" to laugh. He isn't laughing soon as the young man takes him down with a snapmare and knees him in the back of the head. Kaz puts on an impress debut; getting a near fall on Lawler following a springboard enziguiri kick and locking him for a short time in a Crunch Loop reverse figure-four. The veteran Jerry Lawler proves too much for him however and dominates half the match before hitting a piledriver to net him the win.
After the match Kaz Hayashi falls to his knees before Takako Inoue begging her forgiveness; which it seems she grants. Lanny says he wouldn't mind falling to his knees before her himself. Okerlund reminds him to keep it PG before sending us to...We're welcomed back by Gene and Lanny who then discuss the Tag-Team Match between The Lawlers and the team of Arn Anderson and Scott Taylor. Poffo doesn't understand what AA sees in the kid. Okerlund reminds him that it was Scott Taylor who helped Anderson with his rehab following his near career ending Steel Cage Match with ECW Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage. And that since then "The Enforcer" has taken Scott Taylor under his wing.
The lights then go dark and mist fills the arena as Brickhouse Brown and Papa Shango appear on the ramp. Voodoo drums beat as they make their way down to the ring.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring first accompanied to the ring by Papa Shango; weighing 270 lbs. from Wilmington, Delaware; Brickouse Brown.
After The Dark Circle members stalk the ring for a bit; referee Teddy Long orders an annoyed Papa Shango from the ring. "Paradise City" by Guns 'N Roses hits. McGillicutty: And his opponent this evening from Westbrook, Maine weighing 209 lbs. and accompanied to the ring by "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson; he is "The Superstar" Scott Taylor.Match: Brickhouse Brown vs. Scott Taylor Throughout the Match Arn Anderson makes sure Papa Shango doesn't interfere. Brickhouse Brown is fueled up and from the start of the match he beats on Scott Taylor with a barrage of punches, kicks; and stomps. Taylor gives Brickhouse a fight though, using a hit and run strategy on Brown as much as possible. At one point he nearly has the victory in hand when while Brickhouse is setting him up for the inverted shoulderbreaker; he breaks free and counters with a sitout jawbreaker over his head. Papa Shango however distracts the ref enough that Taylor only ends up with a two count. The end comes when Scott Taylor looks to lock in the figure four and Brown kicks free with his feet. As Taylor stumbles forward Brickhouse Brown jumps up and connects with a lifting side slam that puts "The Superstar" away. Making sure his friend is safe, Arn Anderson immediately enters the ring after the match and helps Taylor to his feet patting him on the back. After the break "Mean" Gene thanks us for joining them here at The Racc here tonight. He reminds the folks at home that next week Eastern Championship will be coming to them live from the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York for ECW's second Big Event; Hotter Than Hell. All four ECW Titles will be on the line next week including the Eastern Heavyweight Championship when Champ "Macho Man Randy Savage takes on "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango inside of a Steel Cage. He then tells the folks at home that as always this monstrous Event can be caught on Eastern Championship's home station; TNN The Nashville Network. So be sure to tune in next week when ECW will get Hotter Than Hell.
Gene and Lanny then mention that while all the Championships will be on the line at Hotter Than Hell; we've heard nothing as of yet about a Women's Championship Match. Which is why tonight Eric Bischoff has set up this next Match in which former Women's Champion Jacqueline Moore will face Luna Vachon for the # 1 contendership. The winner of this Match to face Women's Champ "The Hawaiian Princess" Leilani Kai next week at Hotter Than Hell for the Title.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall and is to determine the # 1 contender for the Women's Championship. Introducing first from Dallas, Texas weighing 130 lbs.; she is "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore.
Miss Jackie comes down to the ring and high fives referee S. D. Jones.
McGillicutty: And introducing her challenger accompanied to the ring by the Lady Alexandra weighing 140 lbs. from Atlanta, Georgia; Luna Vachon.# 1 Contender Women's Championship Match: Jacqueline Moore vs. Luna Vachon It's a brutal Match from the start of the bell as the two women tear into each other. They brawl about the ring; Jacqueline Moore getting the first near fall with a bridged German Suplex. Luna kicks out however and goes on to nearly put Moore away first with a Luna Bomb corner slingshot splash and later with a flowing DDT. Jacqueline rallies a comeback after the DDT and has just nailed Vachon with a headscissors takedown when she turns to see Women's Champ Leilani Kai leap on her with a Lou Thesz Press. She hammers away on Jacqueline face before getting up and turning her attention toward Luna Vachon who's just rising to her feet. Kicking her in the gut she nails her with a DDT. S.D. Jones has called for the bell and declares the Match a No Contest. Lanny and Gene wonder if this means there won't be a Women's TItle Match at Hotter Than Hell. Poffo says they should only be so lucky. We're then taken backstage where we see Jerry Lawler and his son Brian Lawler talking to Scott Taylor. They're telling him how he's been a friend of the Lawler family forever and how his loyalty should be to them. Scott Taylor tells them that it isn't anything personal. But he is Arn Anderson's partner in the Match. He says that means next week his loyalty resides with AA. And he's sorry if that's going to cause a rift between them. Brian then pushes Scott and tells him he's a traitor. That he can't believe he'd do something like this to them. Jerry tells Brian to back off and tells Scott that they've always liked him and hope he changes his mind. Just then the camera pans around and we see "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson looking on! He rushes to Scott's side and decks "The King!" Anderson says that it's bad enough Jerry Lawler is a slimy coward. And that he passed it off to his son. But that doesn't mean he's got to infect anyone else with his backstabbing bullshit. The Lawlers back off and exit while Arn asks Scott if he's okay. Eastern Championship returns and Lanny is saying that Arn Anderson is a fool if he thinks he can trust Scott Taylor. That Taylor has known The Lawlers since he was a kid and their hooks are in him deep. Gene disagrees saying that Scott has alway seemed like an honorable young man since he first met him here at ECW and that personally he'd give him the benefit of the doubt.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring first from Rome, Georgia weighing 255 lbs.; he is "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Inside the ring Arn Anderson shakes hands with ref Danny Davis as "Jailhouse Rock" by the Blues Brothers plays. Devon Hughes appears on the ramp with Spike Hughes.
Devon: Testify!
McGillicutty: And his opponent accompanied to the ring by his Tag-Team partner Spike Hughes at this time; weighing 280 lbs. from New Rochelle, New York; Devon Hughes.Match: Arn Anderson vs. Devon Hughes Devon Hughes surprises alot of people when he holds his own against Arn Anderson. He looks to make the pin after rebounding off the ropes and connecting with his 360 degree corkscrew elbow smash and later after delivering a diving heabutt to AA. Anderson gives him a beating and just misses the pinfall after a DDT and a Gourdbuster inverted suplex slam. The fans are shocked when young Devon kicks out both times. Arn Anderson has the match all but won when he begins softening Devon's legs up with a barrage of stomps for the figure four leglock; when Jerry Lawler shows up on the ramp with Brian Lawler. The two men rush down the ramp but don't make it into the ring. Arn Anderson is ready and waiting for them fists in the air. And so is Devon and Spike! The three men stand united eyeballing the Lawlers who back their way up the ramp yelling at the trio. Once the Lawlers disappear Anderson shakes hands with the Hughes Brothers. Meanwhile Lanny Poffo is questioning just where Scott Taylor was during all of this. Gene doesn't have an answer.COMMERCIAL BREAK"White Train" by Tito & Tarantula is playing when Eastern Championship returns. Eric Bischoff is in the ring and thanks the fans for coming out here to The RACC tonight. He says he has a little business to discuss with one of his employees tonight. One of his Champions. He then tells "The Hawaiian Princess" to come on down. Leilani Kai appears as Hawaiian music plays and she looks pissed as she makes her way to the ring. Eric thanks Leilani Kai for joining him. He says that he seems to remember her winning the Women's Title on April 27th and asks her if that's right. She says it is. He then tells her that since she won the belt he's seen her make some questionable choices. Done some things some would consider unbefitting of a Champion. But he let them slide because he undestands what it takes to possess a Title. To hold onto that Championship once you have ahold of it. He congratulates her on holding the Title for four months and she thanks him. He then holds his hand out and tells her she'd better not thank him yet. Eric tells her that while he understands some of her past action; he wants to know just what the hell she was thinking sticking her nose into HIS number one contender's match?! Has she lost her mind?!! Does she know who runs this company?!!! Leilani is trying to calm his down. He tells her the answer is Eric Bischoff. That's who. And while she may have think she was being smart earlier. Maybe even a little clever; well that backfired sister. Cause next week. At Hotter Than Hell. Leilani Kai will now defend her Women's Championship. Against both Luna Vachon and Jacqueline Moore! No count outs! no disqualifications! He then thanks an enraged Leilani Kai for her time and tells her she's dismissed before exiting the ring.
Mean Gene likes seeing Bischoof restore some order around here. He then brings up the next Match. Lanny says that the next two competitors should accept a simple universal truth. That nobody named Steve can make it in the Wrasslin' bizness. Just look at Steve Lombardi. "Everyday" by Buddy Holly then plays.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania weighing in at 215 lbs.; Steven Richards.
Steven Richards hops into the ring and waves to the fans. The kids seem to like him. "Fire" by Scooter sounds and Steve Corino appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: And making his way to the ring now at 242 lbs. from Sea Isle City, New Jersey; he is "The Savior of Sea Isle City" Steve Corino.Match: Steven Richards vs. Steve Corino Teddy Long starts the Match as Steven Richards and Steve Corino lock up. The Match has good back and forth; the fans rallying behind Richards when Corino gets him locked in the Cobra Clutch. Steven uses this to make it to the ropes and break the hold. His luck runs out however when Steve Corino who is now on the defensive dodges Rchard's superkick and catching his leg takes him down with a legdrag. Keeping on top of his opponent Steve Corino grabs Steven Richards' legs and locks in an inverted cross-legged STF which gets him the win via Submission.
We're then brought back stage where ECW interviewer Michele Starr is standing by with ECW Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Starr says he is very excited to be standing with such a rippling, sinewy man as The Macho Man. Ooh yeah. He then talks about Savage's upcoming Match next week at Hotter Than Hell. And asks him if he's worried about getting into a Steel Cage with "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango.
Savage says OOOH No. The "Macho Man" Randy Savage fears no man. Not that Papa Shango is a man; but bigger men have tried. Yeah. And Macho Man brought them all down to the mat 1-2-3. Steel Cage? "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Yeah. Knows what it's like to be trapped in a Cage with the Champ. Dig it. Knows that it only leads to one road. And that road leads you to the hospital. As for "The Soul Stealer." The Papa Shango. He says he's allied with Dark Lords. Yeah. Macho Man says bring 'em. Bring 'em all. Satan. Beelzebub. Darth Vader. Mephistophles. Ya dig. And then Macho Man will bring them all down. One by one. That Randy Savage will guarantee. OOOH Yeah!Back from the break Lanny wonders if Randy Savage and Michele Starr shop at the same clothing boutiques. He and Gene then discuss some of the events of the night before talking about tonight's Main Event. They talk about the problems between Rick Rude and Papa Shango in the past. From Rude's flirting with Manami Toyota, to the Dark Circle seeming to have possessed Rude along with a few other members of the locker room. They then go on to discuss first Papa Shango's interference that may have caused "The Ravishing One" to have won his Match against ECW Champ "Macho Man" Randy Savage. And how "The Soul Stealer" subsequently robbed Rude of his chance at the Title against Savage just two weeks ago. The lights then go out and smoke fills the arena as voodoo drums blare. On the ramp Papa Shango appears with Brickhouse Brown in tow.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from the Depths of Hell weighing in at 330 lbs. and accompanied by his minion Brickhouse Brown; he is "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango.
S.D. Jones looks spooked when The Dark Circle first enters the ring; but he orders Brickhouse Brown outside anyway. Rick Rude's strip theme then plays as Rick Rude swaggers down the ramp. He isn't wearing his robe tonight.
McGillicutty: And introducing his opponent this evening from Robbinsdale, Minnesota weighing 251 lbs.; he is "The Ravishing One" Rick Rude. Match: Papa Shango vs. Rick Rude Rick Rude taunts Papa Shango a bit by doing his dance showing off his new tights which have Shango and Brickhouse Brown being burnt at the stake on them; getting the crowd to cheer. Referee S.D. Jones tells him to cut it out and the two men lock up as the match begins. Shango pushes Rude back almost immediately and begins hammering on him with hard rights before dropping Rick with a clothesline. "The Soul Stealer" goes for the cover, but Rude kicks out before the two and an enraged Shango begins choking him out with his forearm. Jones puts a stop to it and separates them. Rick gets back up to one knee and rubs his throat as the fight resumes. Papa Shango charges at Rick and soon finds himself out of the ring as Rude pulls down the top rope ducking out of the way as Shango's own momentum dumps him out to the floor. Rick stands up and looks over the ropes as the witch doctor gets to his feet, before launching himself up over the top rope and landing on Shango. Both men crash to the floor as Rude connects. Rick is up first however and begins putting the boots to Papa Shango. Lifting him up he mockingly smacks Shango in the face before ramming him face first into the guardrail. Rick struts about the ring a bit and grabs Shango's top hat which he puts on. He imitates Papa Shango's craziness on the outside before stomping on Shango a bit. He's still wearing the hat when he picks Papa Shango up and lifts him for the DDT. He's wasted too much time however and Shango grabbing Rude's legs counters it; pulling them out from under him and dropping him onto his back on the floor. He locks in a Boston Crab on the outside. Rude screams in pain and Shango is obviously loving it when Brickhouse Brown comes over and points to the ring. S.D. Jones has counted to 8. Shango drops Rude fast and rolls back inside the ring. Meanwhile on the outside Rick is up on his knees and has reached up to grab the ring apron when Brickhouse runs up and kicks Rude in the ribs! He falls back into the guardrail and Mean Gene is calling for a DQ at ringside. But S.D. was momentarily distracted by Shango and didn't see it. Neither did Lanny Poffo apparently. As Rude rushes forward toward the ring; S.D. Jones ends the Match. Papa Shango has won by Count Out! Rick Rude is livid and is yelling and both Shango and Jones from the outside when he is suddenly hit from behind with a steel chair! Brickhouse Brown is laughing menacingly chair in hand as Papa Shango climbs out of the ring. The two men begin stomping on "The Ravishing One" as the...
Lights Fade.

9/21/94 - Nassau Coliseum Uniondale, NYOkerlund: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York; host of Eastern Championship Wrestling's second Big Event of the year; Hotter Than Hell. With me at ringside as always "The Genius" Lanny Poffo.
Poffo: Thanks Gene. It's good to be back in the Coliseum. You can always feel a certain magic in the air everytime we're here.
Okerlund: Certainly Lanny. And "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango must be hoping for that magic to be here for him tonight as he battles the "Macho Man" Randy Savage in a Steel Cage for the ECW Heavyweight Championship.
Poffo: I certainly don't envy him that Gene. As Arn Anderson can attest; being in that sort of Match with Savage could be hell indeed. The man nearly lost his livelihood in just such a Match some months ago.
Okerlund: Who could forget that Lanny. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson has other things on his mind tonight however as he and his protegee "The Superstar" Scott Taylor are set to take on Jerry "The King" Lawler and his son "Too Sexy" Brian Lawler in some tag-team action.
Poffo: I still wouldn't put my trust in Taylor if I were AA Gene. If you ask me Anderson is in for a handicap match here tonight.
Okerlund: Scary thought; you being Arn Anderson.
Poffo: I know. I don't think I could stand having a comb over.
Okerlund: Wouldn't let him hear that. Speaking of handicap matches however; it is an injury keeping "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho at ringside tonight as his pal Big Bad John is set to go one on one with "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin. An injury; at least according to his Doctor's not.
Poffo: The man has a legitimate injury Gene. Ever heard of unbiased journalism? Maybe you should try it. Of course as much as you'd like to; you could never show as much bias toward Jericho as Eric Bischoff did last week; signing Women's Champ "The Hawaiian Princess" Leilani Kai in a Triple-Threat Match between former Champ "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore and the hungry upstart Luna Vachon.
Okerlund: She brought it on herself Lanny. I don't agree with that shill Bischoff often; but he's right in regards to Leilani Kai not acting like a Champion of late. Now if you want to get into unfair advantages; tonight "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg will be challenging "Mr. Wedneday Night" Rob Van Dam for his Eastern States Championship. Last we saw RVD he was injured. And to add insult to injury it goes without saying that The Blitzkrieg's meddling manager The Baron Von Raschke will be at ringside. He might as well be fighting two people.
Poffo: Oh boo hoo Gene. Van Dam is a big boy and wrestling here at Eastern Championship is a man's game. I have alot of respect for Rob Van Dam however and he's beaten the odds before; winning against 30 other men in ECW's last Big Event King of the Mountain to claim the vacant Eastern States Championship back in February. Since then he's held onto the belt for seven months. I certainly wouldn't count "Mr. Wednesday Night" out yet.
Okerlund: I'll have to agree with you there Lanny. But I still don't like the kid's odds. Odds are also against the Tag-Team Champs here tonight as well; Eric Bischoff signing them to a Tag-Team Elimination Match in which four teams will be competing for the Gold. Destruction Inc. has been very impressive since forming here in Eastern Championship Wrestling. But all any of their challengers; The Killer Bees, Deep South, or former Champs The New Orient Express need to do is pin either "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle or "The Man-Beast" Rhino and the entire team will be eliminated from the Match losing their Titles in the process.
Poffo: Indeed the Champs are in for a big challenge tonight Gene. But they're two big men who have beat the odds before. Looks like Beulah is getting set for our first night of the evening; and may I just saying she is smoking tonight.
Okerlund: She's young enough to be your daughter.
Poffo: Well what can I say Gene? Daddy likes.
Gene shakes his head as "Fire" by Scooter hits and Steve Corino appears on the ramp.McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for on fall. Introducing first from Sea Isle City, New Jersey weighing 242 lbs.; he is "The Savior of Sea Isle City" Steve Corino!
While Corino gets into the ring and shakes hands with referee Danny Davis; Gene and Lanny discuss how over the past few months Steve Corino has been getting under the skin of the host of ECW Slammin' Saturdays; Buck Zumhoff. Starting with Corino's appearance on Buck's show and later when Steve mocked Zumhoff in an interview for Pro Wrestling Illustrated and most recently on The Conan O'Brien show last week where he threw water in Zumhoff's face. Though most of their heat has been outside of Eastern Championship's shows; Buck Zumhoff asked for and was given this match by Eric Bischoff. The fans come alive as "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by The Scorpions hits and Buck Zumhoff appears on the ramp with his boombox in hand as he boogies his way down to the ring.
McGillicutty: And introducing his opponent this evening weighing in at 220 lbs. from Hamburg, Minnesota; he is " The Rock'N Roller" Buck Zumhoff!Match: Steve Corino vs. Buck Zumhoff Davis starts the match as Steve Corino and Buck Zumhoff lock up. Though Corino has size to his advantage, Zumhoff has more experience and speed taking Corino down with a snapmare before catching him in a headlock. He applies the pressure as Steve battles back and catches Buck with an elbow to the head. "The Rock 'N Roller" quickly recovers however and when Corino Irish whips him across the ring; Buck surprises him with a dropkick on the rebound taking "The Savior of Sea Isle City down to the mat. Buck then does a little dance for the crowd before he runs back into the ropes and coming back hits Corino with a legdrop before making the cover. He gets a two count. Keeping on top of the young grappler he pounds on Corino before the young man battles back grabbing Zumhoff by the face and drives him into the corner. Mounting the bottom rope he pounds on Buck for the full ten before hopping up onto the top turnbuckle as Zumhoff falls foward to the canvas. Leaping off Steve hits a diving elbow on "Rock 'N Roll" before going for the cover. He gets a two count and the fans cheer as Buck powers out. Lifting his opponent to his feet an angry Corino rakes Zumhoff's eyes before whipping him across the ring and takes him down with a hiptoss. Stalking his prey Steve grabs Buck; but "The Rock 'N Roller" grabs him and rolls him up in an inside crradle. He gets a near three as Corino just squeezes out. Soon both men are back up and pounding on one another. Getting an uppercut in grants Buck the advantage and he attempts to whip Corino; but "The Savior" reverses it and takes Zumhoff down with a lariat. He makes the cover; but Zumhoff once again kicks out at two. Steve is noticeably frustrated and staying on top of Zumhoff he begins choking his. Danny Davis breaks them up but it looks like the damage is already done as a dazed Zumhoff hobbles to his feet. Pushing past Davis; Steve Corino comes at Buck with a super kick! He gets a surpsie however when Buck Zumhoff grabs his leg and waist as he suplexes Steve Corino! Scrambling for the cover Buck hooks Corino's leg as Davis counts to three.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. Before the break we witnessed "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff defeat "The Savior of Sea Isle City" Steve Corino in a grudge match just signed today.
Poffo: Zumhoff's a baby. It was just a little water. But I can't say the outcome was all that surprising. He is a Steve after all.
Okerlund: Don't start. Coming up next we'll see "The Hawaiian Princess" Leilani Kai do something she's been a bit gunshy to do of late; defend her Women's Championship.
Poffo: You see Gene. This is where the folks at home can see where your lack of actual wrestling experiece comes in. You've never held Championship Gold before. So you don't understand what it takes to be a Champion.
Okerlund: And you do?
Poffo: I just happen to be a four time ICW Heavyweight Champion; just so you know Gene.
Okerlund: I meant a belt your daddy didn't give you.
Poffo: I was NWA Tag-Team Champ.
Okerlund: And your tag partner was who again?
Poffo: Okay. Shut up Gene. You're beginning to annoy me. All I was saying was that a true Champion does whatever they have to to hold onto their Title. That's all Leilani Kai is guilty of.
Okerlund: Eric Bischoff didn't seem to think so. Which is why he signed this Triple Threat Women's Title Match last week following an attack earlier that night on both "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore and "Mad Dog" Luna Vachon during a number one contender's Match between the two that got the Match thrown out by referee S.D. Jones.
Poffo: You see righ there Gene. This wasn't "The Hawaiian Princess'" fault at all. It should be chalked up to bad officiating on the part of "Get the job done" Jones. He was a terrible wreslter and makes for an even worse ref.
Okerlund: Whatever Poffo. She'd been cheating and dodging losing that belt for weeks up until that point.
Poffo: That's your opinion Gene. And it happens to be wrong.
Hawaiian music plays as Leilani Kai appears on the ramp and makes her way down to ringside. She poses with the belt before handing it over to Teddy Long.
McGillicutty: The following Triple Threat Match is scheduled for one fall, that can only be ended via Pinfall or Submission; and is for the Eastern Women's Championship. Introducing first weighing 162 lbs. from Honolulu, Hawaii; she is the Eastern Women's Champion; "The Hawaiian Princess" Leilani Kai!
Jacqueline more then appears on the ramp as the crowd cheers. This aggravates Kai who begins yelling at them from inside the ring.
McGillicutty: Now making her way to the ring from Dallas, Texas weighin in at 130 lbs.; "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore!
Finally Luna Vachon storms down the ramp dragging her manager the Lady Alexandra behind her.
McGillicutty: And introducing the last entrant in this Triple Threat Match; making her way to the ring accompanied by Lady Alexandra; weighing in at 140 lbs. from Atlanta, Georgia; she is "Mad Dog" Luna Vachon!Women's Title Triple Threat Match: Leilani Kai vs. Jacqueline Moore vs. Luna Vachon From the moment Long starts the match; an all out brawl erupts. The three women continue to pummel one another until Jacqueline Moore gets the upper hand with a hard right to Kai that takes her down to the floor; followed by a head butt to Vachon that sends her stumbling back into the ropes. Jacqueline follows Vachon in hammering on her before whipping her acrss the ring and nails her with a belly to belly suplex. Leilani is soon on her feet; but Moore sees her in time and the Champ falls victim to a sidewalk slam courtesy of Moore. With both her opponents down Jacqueline rallies the crowd behind her. Kai and Vachon aren't having it though and looking at one another; get up and kick the celebrating Moore in the gut as she turns toward them; but hitting a double suplex on her. Together "The Hawaiian Princess" and "The Mad Dog" put the boots to Moore who limply rolls and falls from the ring. Leilani then extends her hand to high five Luna; but when Vachon accepts the offer Kai clotheslines her down to the mat and goes for the pin. She barely gets a two count before Luna kicks out. Keeping on top of Vachon; Kai drives hard elbows into her back as she lifts her to the feet; kneeing the challnger repeatedly in the face before picking her up and powerslamming her to the floor. She goes for the pin again but it is oon broken as Jacqueline Moore makes her presence known with a diving elbow from up top. All three women are down. Moore finds her feet first and stomps on Leilani's head before grabbing Vachon and looks to hit a German Suplex. Luna however flips out of Jacqueline's clutches; and turning her about hits a DDT before going for the pin. 1...2... Moore kicks out! 3! Luna goes to pick up Jacqueline again; but Leilani Kai is back up and grabbing Vachon by her hair, whips her across the ring. Running toward the downed "Mad Dog" Kai lands a jumping knee drop to the face of Luna before going up top. She signals for the diving splash and leaps through the air. Jacqueline however has pulled Luna out of the way and watches as Leilani crashes to the floor. Jumping on top of the Champ Jacqueline Moore locks the guillotine choke in on Leilani Kai who screams in pain but is unable to break the hold. Luna gets up to her feet but is too late as Kai as given Moore the Match via submission and is now gasping for air. Luna is pissed and begins stomping on Kai as Jacqueline's hand is held up in victory. The new Women's Champ's celebration is short-lived as Jacqueline is hit by a striking spear to the back from the frustrated Luna.Okerlund: Welcome back hopes. Firs off I'd like to congratulate our new Women's Champion; "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore on one hell of a win against both defending Women's champ "The Hawaiian Princess" Leilani Kai and "Mad Dog" Luna Vachon. Though I'd like to say for the record right here and now; that Vachon's actions after the win were unacceptable. If there's one thing I can't stand more than a cheat it's a sore loser Lanny.
Poffo: That may be Gene. But after that attack I'm guessing it'll be Kai and Moore who're sore after tonight. Especially Leilani Kai who lost her Championship. She'll be looking for blood next week that's for sure.
Okerlund: Speaking of bad blood. The heat between "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin and "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho has been percolating over the last several months. Unfortunately for Garvin he won't be getting his revenge on Jericho here tonight.
Poffo: You know I'd normally say that was fortunate for "The Rugged One" not having to step into the ring with "The Loud-Mouth" Gene. Ronnie Garvin would've been thanks Jericho's doctor for that Doctor's Note of his. However there is just one thing that would get in the way of that.
Okerlund: And a very big thing it is Lanny. In Jericho's friend and bodyguard Big Bad John; whom Ronnie Garvin called out in Jericho's stead here tonight. Chris Jericho called in the help of John to protect him from Garvin following Chris' ahem, injury at the hands of Nailz some time ago.
Poffo: Why did you have to say it like that? "The Long Island Loud-Mouth"Has no reason to lie about an injury Gene. He could take Ronnie Garvin out anytime he wanted if he weren't injured. As for protection; you'd need it too if you had an unsavory character with no moral compass like "The Rugged One" breathing down your neck.
McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring first from Montreal, Quebec, Canada weighing in at 23 1 lbs.; "The Rugged One" ronnie Garvin!
Ronnie Garvin appears on the ramp with his towel draped behind his neck as he heads down to the ring and shakes hands with referee S.D. Jones. "Thunderkiss '65" by White Zombie then hits as Big Bad John plods down to ringside accompanied by Chris Jericho who is still wearing a neckbrace.
McGillicutty: And introducing his opponent this evening accompanied to the ring by "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho; from Venice Beach, California weighing 321 lbs.; Big Bad John!Match: Ronnie Garvin vs. Big Bad John Chris Jericho is reluctant to leave the ring at first, but when Jones threatens to disqualify John he finally relents. The match begins and Ronnie Garvin attempts to lock up with the much bigger Big Bad John. John however just clobbers Garvin in the face and grabbing him by the neck lifts him into the air and tosses him backward. Garvin takes a tumble but rolls safely to one knee. He eyes Big Bad wearily as he approaches. Getting to his feet as John approaches, Ronnie delivers a dropkick to the big man's knee. He then smashes him in the face with a hard elbow before getting up on the second turnbuckle and nailing Big Bad with a double axe-handle. Big Bad is down on all fours when Garvin slams him in the face with a flurry of knee strikes that take the big man down. Garvin goes for the cover, but Big Bad John powers out at two. Back on his feet Ronnie hammers on his opponent, but John throws him off of him and begins pounding "Rugged" Ronnie back into the ropes before whipping him across the ring. He follows him in and clotheslines him over the top rope to the floor below. Climbing outside John delivers a legdrop to Garvin on the outside before picking him up over his head and dropping him face first onto the guardrail busting Garvin open. Chris Jericho has made his way over and is taunting Garvin while John continues the assault. Referee S.D. Jones has begun the count and is ordering Big Bad John back inside the ring. He lifts Ronnie up and rolls Garvin back into the ring. Back inside Big Bad John poses above the limp form of Ronnie Garvin and flexes his muscles before he lifts him up and squeezes him awake with a bearhug. Ronnie is screaming in pain and only manages to escape by nailing the big man with a headbutt. Garvin's victory is short-lived however as John recovers and grabbing him whips him hard into the corner. He then charges in for a body avalanche. Ronnie counters this however with a kick to the gut stopping the big man dead in his tracks. As John bends forward Ronnie grabs Big Bad by the head and bites his nose! Blood gushes everywhere! John has his back to the ref however and Jones didn't see anything despite Jericho's protests on the outside. As Big Bad John reaches toward his face Ronnie Garvin lets him have it with hard rights and lefts right to the crimson mask worn by Big Bad John. Blood is streaming down both men's faces as Ronnie drives John across the ring and grabbing hold of the bigger man knees him in the gut sending him down to the floor. Ronnie is smiling while Big Bad John rolls on the floor in pain and stomping his foot on the ground signals for The Garvin Stomp. Chris Jericho is screaming indignantly on the outside while it is delivered ; Ronnie Garvin finally stomping on Big Bad John's head before he makes the cover. He gets it! S.D. Jones raises Garvin's hand in victory as Chris Jericho grabs a steel folding chair from Beulah McGillicutty and slides into the ring. Jericho swings and misses as Ronnie ducks! But he's instead nailed S.D. Jones! Jones goes down hard as Garvin begins pounding on Jericho knocking the chair from "The Loud-Mouth's" hands. Chris is getting battered upon when suddenly Ronnie Garvin drops to his knees in pain. Jericho grins wide as he looks into the blood splattered face of his friend Big Bad John who now has the steel chair in his hand. Garvin drops to the ground as Chris Jericho grabs him and together with Big Bad John they begin delivering a double Garvin Stomp to him. Chris then gets a mic from Beulah.
Jericho: So you thought you had us beat old man?! Eh Garvin?! Eh? Thought you could take out "The Long Island Loud-Mouth!" Lay your hands on me while I'm injured?! Well fat chance Grandpa. Cause I've got a new Doctor's Note! See it?! It says I'm cleared to kick your teeth in! With this Jericho runs toward the ropes and proceeds to hit a springboard moonsault on the clearly out of it Ronnie Garvin. When Eastern Championship Wrestling returns "White Train" by Tito & Tarantula is playing and ECW President Eric Bischoff is standing in the middle of the ring with Beulah McGillicutty.Bischoff: Hello ladies and gentlemen. As I mentioned several weeks ago I have a very special announcement in regards to Eastern Championship Wrestling's one year anniversary that I'm making right here tonight at Hotter Than Hell! And that announcement is that on ECW's one year anniversary December 1st; Eastern Championship will be holding it's very first Pay Per View. The Eastern Championship Wrestle Annual! Okerlund: Well that's certainly some big news here tonight Lanny.
Poffo: I know Gene. Did you see Beulah in that shirt? Grr.
Okerlund: No you twit. About Eastern Championship Wrestling's first ever Pay Per View; the Eastern Championship Wrestle Annual coming to you live December 1st only on PPV.
Poffo: So says the shill. Now about the next match Gene; I'm sorry but I can't help but side with Jerry Lawler on this one. Since coming to Eastern Champion Wrestling; "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango has manipulated and bewitched every person he's come across. "The King" is no different. Sure he did help in the attack of Arn Anderson and Randy Savage back in June; but so did half the locker room. I don't see "The Enforcer" holding a grudge with all of them. Where's his ire with "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady for example?
Okerlund: I don't seem to recall anyone else involved in that heinous attack so adamant to defend themselves either Lanny. Perhaps if Lawler didn't keep bringing up the subject this would have been a dead issue for AA. And that's before we get to the harsh words and cowardly attacks by "The King" on "The Enforcer" over the weeks since.
Poffo: All the man wanted to do was apologize Gene. If you ask me this entire ordeal Anderson has gone through with Jerry is a result of Anderson's own mule-headed stubborness.
Okerlund: Well. Luckily nobody asked you Poffo.
Poffo: Bite me Gene.
The Bill Conti Overture then hits as Jerry Lawler appears on the ramp with his son Brian Lawler.
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Memphis, Tennessee weighing a combined 456 lbs.; they are the team of Brian Lawler and his father Jerry "The King" Lawler!
Jerry enters the ring as the crowd boos him. He looks frustrated and tells them to kiss his ass. He then hands his jacket and crown to referee Danny Davis before "Paradise City" by Guns 'N Roses hits. On the ramp "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson appears with his protegee Scott Taylor.
McGillicutty: And their opponents this evening weighing in at a combined 464 lbs.; they are "The Superstar" Scott Taylor and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson!Tag-Team Match: The Lawlers vs. Arn Anderson & Scott Taylor Arn Anderson and Scott Taylor shake hands with Danny Davis; but Jerry Lawler isn't having it and cheap shots Anderson with a hard right. Brian Lawler is soon joining in attacking Scott Taylor and a brawl erupts. Davis tries to restore order as Brian beats Taylor back into the ropes and clotheslines him out of the ring. AA doesn't fair any better as Jerry whips him across the ring and the Lawlers deliver a double flapjack to "The Enforcer." Brian then leaves the ring as "The King" takes control, delivering a knee drop to the head of the downed Anderson. Lifting him up Jerry delivers several punches to the head of Anderson before picking him up and nailing a suplex goes for the cover. "The King" gets a two count. Anderson kicks out and is lifted to his feet where Jerry pounds his head and back before dropping AA with a bionic elbow. He then tags in his son Brian Lawler who uses the top rope to somersault on top of Anderson. Together with his father they then whip Arn across the ring and look for a double back body drop. The duo duck two early however and Arn takes the Lawlers down with a double jumping elbow smash to the back of their heads. The Lawlers quickly are back up on their feet; but Arn clotheslines both men out of the ring. The crowd goes nuts as AA raises his hand in victory. "The Enforcer" then follows them out and picking up Brian Lawler slams his head into the ring apron before tossing him back into the ring. Whil Arn pounds Brian inside the ring; a recovered Jerry Lawler picks up a chair on the outside. Scott Taylor however sees this and jumping up onto the apron runs and leaps on top of "The King." As they brawl on the outside; Arn hits a spinebuster on Brian Lawler and goes for the cover. 1...2... Arn gets up?! 3! Arn drags Brian's limp body over to the Lawler corner and calls to Jerry Lawler who's busy pounding Scott Taylor up against the guardrail on the outside. He tells "The King" to get his ass into the ring. Jerry slams the back of Taylor's head into the guardrail before getting up on the apron. Anderson uses the unconsciouse Brian Lawler's hand to tag Jerry in. Inside the ring Anderson and Lawler go punch for punch back and forther, Jerry driving Arn into the middle of the ring. Grabbing Arn by the arm, he whips "The Enforcer;" but AA counters with a whip of his own. Only to have Jerry comes crusing back in with a lariat takedown. Lawler goes for the cover but only gets a one count. Angry he gets up and starts putting the boots to Anderson and grabbing him by the arm, wrenches it. Arn screams in pain but fights it until Jerry kicks him in the gut and scoops him up for the piledriver. Before he can connect however Scott Taylor launches off the top turnbuckle and dropkicks "The King" in the back! Lawler and Anderson falls forward as Scott Taylor attempts to stomp Jerry. Brian Lawler is back up though and takes Scott down with a superkick! Brian rolls out of the ring as Jerry Lawler picks up Arn Anderson; but AA hits him with a huge uppercut! "The Enforcer" pounds Jerry across the ring into the corner where he gets up on the second rope and hammers Jerry's head to a ten count. Hopping down he watches as "The King" stumbles forward and scooping him up takes him out with The Gourdbuster before going for the cover. Brian Lawler is back in the ring looking to break the tag! But so is Scott Taylor; who nails him with a DDT! Davis hits the three giving Anderson the win.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. A big win for "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and his protegee "Superstar" Scott Taylor before the break. Perhaps this will be enough to keep "The King's" mouth shut Lanny?
Poffo: Unklikely Gene. First off Jerry Lawler is in the right here. And knowing it's going to take alot more than getting dropped on head to silence an ego as big as "The King's."
Okerlund: Pot meet kettle.
Poffo: Excuse me?
Okerlund: Never mind. Our next Match folks is for the Tag-Team Titles and is a four team Elimination Match. This mean that each team involved has to be pinned once to be eliminated from the Match. So whethere it's Rhino or Mongo Vyle; if either man is pinned Destruction Inc. will lose the Tag-Team Titles.
Poffo: Thank you Gene for being honest for once; pointing out how unfair this type of Match is to the Tag-Team Champions; Destruction Inc. I really don't know what Bischoff was thinking. I usually agree with his decisions; but having to face three others teams in one night? To say the deck is stacked against Mongo Vyle and Rhino in this one would be an understatement.
Okerlund: Well I will definitely agree the odds aren't in favor of the Tag-Team Champs tonight; having to face former Champs The New Orient Express, The Killer Bees; and Deep South here tonight. Each team having earned the right to compete in this match during a number of qualifying rounds over the past several weeks. An annoying buzzing is heard as The Killer Bees appear on the ramp in their jackets and headbands.
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team Elimination Match is scheduled by three falls; either by pinfall or submission. When either member of each team is pinned the entire team is eliminated and is required to return to the locker room until only one team remains. Introducing first on their way to the ring weighing a combined 470 lbs.; they are the team of B. Brian Blair and "Jumping" Jim Brunzell; The Killer Bees! The Bees buzz their way down to the ring where they hand their jackets over to referee Teddy Long. The Kaientai Theme then hits as The New Orient Express heads down to ringside led by their manager Mr. Fuji.
McGillicutty: And now on their way to the ring accompanied by Mr. Fuji weighing in at a combined 367 lbs.; they are The New Orient Express; Taka Michinoku and "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri!
Tajiri stalks about the ring eyeing up The Bees as Taka poses for the crowd until "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen plays and Dick Murdoch arrives on stage waving his cowboy hat while his partner Junkyard Dog rattles his chain and barks at the crowd.
McGillicutty: Now on their way to the ring weighing in at a combined weight of 557 lbs.; the team of Deep South; "Captain Redneck" Dick Murdoch and The Junkyard Dog!
Long gets all three teams to their corners and takes JYD's chain and Murdoch's hat before "Debonaire" by Dope hits. Rhino and Mongo Vyle storm the ramp with the Tag-Team Championships over their shoulders.
McGillicutty: And finally introducing the Eastern Tag-Team Champions weighing in at a combined 596 lbs.; they are "The Man-Beast" Rhino and "The Machiavellan Mauler" Mongo Vyle; Destruction Inc.!Tag-Team Title Elimination Match: Destruction Inc. vs. The Killer Bees vs. The New Orient Express vs. Deep South At the bell Mongo Vyle starts things off with Dick Murdoch. The two men lock up but that's short lived as Vyle pushes "Captain Redneck" back and hits him with a flurry of punches following by a bionic elbow that sends him back into the ropes. Whipping him across the ring he makes the cover getting a near two. Keeping on top of his opponent "The Machiavellan Mauler" stomps Dick before lifting to his feet and punching him in the head. Murdoch however slaps the big man away and running back for momentum; runs in and takes Vyle off his feet with a clothesline. He nails an elbow drop before catching the Tag Champ in a headlock. Mongo screams in pain before staggering up to his feet and escapes with an elbow to the gut of Murdoch before connecting with a sidewalk slam that puts Dick down for two. Angry Vyle lifts The Captain up and whips him hard across the ring and into the corner of The New Orient Express before running in with a body avalanche. He gets a surprise however as he collides with a double superkick courtesy of Taka Michinoku and Yoshihiro Tajiri. "The Japanese Buzzsaw" tags himself in and Murdoch out as Vyle plummets back to the mat. Climbing the top turnbuckle Tajiri hits a moonsault on The Mauler and goes for the pin. 1...2... Vyle kicks out! 3! Tajiri is now in control and he connects with several kicks as Mongo stirs. While the big man gets to his feet, Yoshihiro runs into the ropes and sends Vyle staggering once again; this time with a handspring elbow. Grabbing "The Machiavellan Mauler" he attemps a snap suplex; but he's unable to get the huge man up; and Vyle counters with a back body drop. Tajiri is down as Vyle stumbles to the Killer Bees corner. They refuse to make the tag however and looking tired he makes his way to his own corner to tag in Rhino. "The Man Beast" immediately leaps onto Tajiri and begins pounding him before picking him up and nailing a belly to belly suplex. When Yoshihiro kicks out at two; Rhino hits The Buzzsaw with a second. Yoshihiro looks out of it as Rhino goes for the cover. He gets a two count before Taka Michinoku enters illegally and makes the save with a dropkick to the face of "The Man-Beast." Mongo Vyle is soon back in the ring however and begins pounding on Taka who grabs him in a body scissors takedown. Vyle keeps his footing however; but not knowing where he's going; he hits the ropes and falls out of the ring with Michinoku still on him. As Taka and Mongo continue to brawl on the outside Yoshihiro Tajiri manages to get back to his feet; only to hace Rhino grab him and run him into the corner turnbuckles where Junkyard Dog tags himself in. This frustrates Rhino who is caught off guard by a hard right from JYD. The Dog hammers his younger opponent across the ring punch after punch before taking him down with a headbutt. He then barks at the crowd before hitting a legdrop on "The Man-Beast" and making the cover. He gets a two before Rhino powers out hard. Rhino's eyebrow is broken open as he gets to first one knee and then his feet as Junkyard hammers on him. Grabbing JYD's hand mid-swing; Rhino Irish whips him across the ring and connects with a high kneee to the chest that sends Junkyard staggering back. Grabbing his opponent he nails a belly to belly suplex on The Dog before stomping on the mat. The crowd comes alive as Rhino stalks his prey while a dazed JYD gets to his feet and falls victim of The Gore striking spear! Hooking the leg of his opponent; "The Man-Beast" gets the pinfall; eliminating Deep South. Hopping over the top rope "Jumping" Jim Brunzell runs over and hits a back bodydrop out of nowhere on the victorious Rhino. 1...2...Rhino kicks out! Brunzell begins putting the boots to the downed Tag-Team Champ as Rhino rolls out of the ring to regroup. He doesn't get much of a breather however as B. Brian Blair leaps off the apron and takes him down with a huge crossbody. Blair is up first and hammers on Rhino; smashing his face into the guardrail before he himself is grabbed from behind, spun around; and met with a punch to the jaw from Mongo Vyle. Rhino wipes the blood from his face as he rolls back into the ring as referee counts to six. Jim Brunzell is right there to greet him however and grabs him in a headlock which Rhino easily battles out of; whipping Brunzell across the ring. He stomps his foot on the ground and once again the crowd cheers as he charges in with The Gore! But Brunzell has other plans as he leaps onto "The Man-Beast" and uses his momentum to drive his head hard into the mat with a Tornado DDT! He makes the cover and gets the pinfall; eliminating the Tag Champs; Destruction Inc.! On the outside Mongo Vyle who has taken care of Blair is furious and entering the ring takes Brunzell's head off with a vicious clothesline; before putting the boots to him. Long has his hands full; but manages to get an irate Vyle to exit the ring and head to the back with his partner. He then checks on "Jumping" Jim who says he's okay. As he turns however he sees Taka Michinoku just in time to be taken down with a crossbody press from the top. Michinoku hooks the leg. 1...2... Jim kicks out! 3! Taka lifts Bunzell to his feet and hammers him in the face before connecting with a snap suplex and goes for the cover again. The Killer Bee kicks out again. Angry Michinoku picks up Brunzell and makes the slit throat motion before lifting him for a powerbomb. Jim throws his wait however and ends up planting the back of Taka's head into the mat as he sits on his face. Crawling to his corner on his knees he tags in B. Brian Blair. Taka has popped back up to his feet and the two men collide in the middle of the ring with a double lariat takedown! both men crash to the floor and begin crawling to their feet. Michinoku is up first and being kicking and stomping Brian who is hanging on the second rope. Long breaks him and Michinoku up; and when B. Brian Blair gets back to his feet; Taka runs in to attack. Blair however back body drops Michinoku outside the ring! Brian then falls to one knee and The Killer Bee grabs his head complaining to the ref. Teddy looks concerned. Meanwhile on the outside Jim Brunzell reaches under the ring and digging around pulls out a fire extinguisher. As Taka Michinoku gets to his feet; Brunzell lays him out with it! Back inside the ring Blair has seemingly shaken off his head injury and exiting the ring himself he picks up the limp form of Michinoku while inside the ring Mr. Fuji begins arguing with the ref. Climing up on the apron; B. Brian Blair smiles at Fuji before using the top rope to spring himself over and land a diving leg drop onto Michinoku before making the pin and winning the Eastern Tag-Team Titles! The Killer Bees are the new Tag-Team Champs!! On the outside Yoshihiro Tajiri has given chase to Jim Brunzell who rolls into the ring and joins B. Brian Blair in celebrating their victory. It is short-lived however as Yoshihiro and Fuji enter the ring and come after them. Grabbing their new Titles from Long; The Bees escape from the ring and up the ramp; pausing to hold the belts up mockingly at The Express.Okerlund: Hello Wrestling Fans and welcome back to Eastern Championship Wrestling. Tonight is a big night here at ECW as we bring your our second Big Event; Hotter Than Hell. Before the break we witnessed the crowning of new Tag-Team Champions; as The Killer Bees defeated Eastern Tag Champs Destruction Inc. as well as tandems The New Orient Express and Deep South in a four man Elimination Match. This the second Title to changed hands here tonight.
Poffo: And we'll soon see a third Gene. I'm surprised you aren't bad-mouthing The Killer Bees on the way they won here tonight. No doubt they're heinous cheats?
Okerlund: Normally I'd be inclined to agree. However I've seen The Express themselves cheat so often here at Eastern Championship; that I'm going to chalk it up to they got what was coming to them.
Poffo: Surely presonal bias aside. So our next Match for the Eastern States Championship Gene. What would you say "Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam's chances of retaining the Title here tonight are?
Okerlund: Honestly Lanny I don't know what condition that young man is in tonight. Or if he should be competing. I will say should he lose the Title here tonight; it's a damn shame. RVD has proven himself a true Champion here at Eastern Championship; taking on all comers for the Title. However the damage his body has been dealt mostly at the hands his opponent here tonight; "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg and his no his no good manager The Baron Von Raschke; might have already take it's toll. He was in really rough shape last we saw him two weeks ago.
Poffo: Indeed Gene. I'd have to guess The Baron and his monster have Van Dam exactly where they want him. Injured. Tonight will merely be a matter of putting him out of his misery. Should he even show up.
Okerlund: Oh; I have no doubt Rob Van Dam will be here tonight Lanny. That kid has one hell of a heart and will go down fighting if I know anything about this business. Poffo: Which of course; you don't.
"Poundcake" by Van Halen hits.
Okerlund: And here we go.
After several tense seconds Rob Van Dam emerges from the back with the Eastern States Championship around hung over his shoulder. He looks battered and bruised; but puts on a brave front as he raises his arms and points to his shoulders as the arena chants "Rob... Van... Dam!"
McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Eastern States Championship. Making his way to the ring first from Battle Creek, Michigan and weighing in at 237 lbs.; he is the Eastern States Champion; "Mr. Wednesday night" Rob Van Dam!
RVD limps his way down to the arena and shakes hands with referee S.D. Jones before handing him the Championship. "Ich tu der weh" by Rammstein then fills the arena as The Baron Von Raschke arrives on the ramp followed by his charge The Bltizkrieg.
McGillicutty: And his opponent this evening accompanied by The Baron von Raschke weighing 323--Raschke: Silence! Silence American wench. "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg needs no introduction to these filthy Capitalist pigs. He needs no ovation, no cheers. All he desires is the sound of rending flesh. The feel of snapping bones. And that is what I; The Baron Von Raschke; have supplied him with tonight. Meat. Meat in the form of the people's precious Champion RVD. Nothing more than a body to break. A soul to slaughter. And all I ask in return is that Championship. That he bring me and The Republic of Germany the glory, the prestige of The Eastern States Championsip. So my son. My charge. My monster. Tote ihn mein Kind.
The Blitzkrieg begins plodding down the ramp towards the ring.
RVD: Wait, wait. I've got three words for you and Count Dracula there. Van Dam then points to his shoulders in the middle of the ring as a chorus of fans
chant "Rob... Van... Dam!"Eastern States Championship Match: Rob Van Dam vs. The Blitzkrieg The Blitzkrieg continues down the ramp as suddenly there is a disturbance on the stage. "Rock 'N Roll" Buck Zumhoff has tackled The Baron Von Raschke and is beating on him! "Mangler's Monster" turns to see what is going on and when he does "Maniac" Matt Borne comes out of the audience over the guardrail and attempts to spear the giant! The Blitzkrieg stumbles back momentarily; but is soon wailing on Borne; who begins trading punches with The Blitzkrieg until the big man lifts "Maniac" Matt up into the air and gorilla presses him into the crowd! The Blitzkrieg falls foward but catches himself on the guardrail as two more assailants enter the fray. It's The Hughes Brothers!Devon Hughes and Spike Hughes begin punching the monster in the back as it holds itself up onto the guardrail. Swinging around; The Blitzkrieg takes borth Spike and Devon down with a forearm smash. The two men quickly regroup however and Spike Hughes climbs up on top of Devon's shoulders before leaping off them and connecting with a huge flying crossbody. The Blitzkrieg catches Spike in mid-air and tosses him up the ramp with a back body drop. Devon Hughes sees his chance and pounces on "Mangler's Monster" before he has a chance to get up. He puts the boots to The Blitzkrieg; but he fights his way to one knee and pushes Hughes so hard that he flies back against the guardrail. Back up on his feet now; The Blitzkrieg grabs Devon by the throat and lifts him off the ground before laying him out with a chokeslam! The Blitzkrieg continues his descent down to the ring undaunted. Meanwhile Buck Zumhoff has finished beating on Von Raschke and gives chase to The Blitzkrieg. He catches up to him only to fall victim to a clothesline. Inside the ring Rob Van Dam is shocked; but loving it. The Blitzkrieg is now outside the ring and Van Dam launches himself out of the ring with a tope suicide dive on the giant sending them both crashing to the floor. This has obviously hurt the already battered "Mr. Wednesday Night;" but he picks himself and crawls on top of The Blitzkrieg whom he begins hammering on. Grabbing Rob by the forearms; The Bliztkrieg hurls him off of him and when RVD gets back to his feet he finds a big boot to the face waiting for him. The Blitzkrieg then lifts up the Champ and smashes him face first into the ring post. He then rolls Van Dam into the ring before climbing up onto the apron. Just then however Doink the Clown appears from the crowd! Seeing him; The Blitzkrieg hops down from the apron and moves in for the kill. Doink grabs a nearby chair however and tosses it at The Blitzkrieg's head. It misses wildly however and flies into the ring. In retaliation The Blitzkrieg grabs Doink by the collar and pulls him up and over the guardrail. Just then Rob Van Dam calls out to him. RVD is standing on the top turnbuckle. And he has the chair in his hand! "Mangler's Monster" tosses Doink aside as "Mr. Wednesday Night" tosses him the chair and then launches from the ring drop kicking the chair right into The Blitzkrieg's face!! Th giant falls backward onto the guardrail and Van Dam rolls on the floor holding his legs; the move obviously having hurt him as well. Crawling toward the ring; RVD climbs inside and The Blitzkrieg howls in pain clutching his masked face. Determined the monster begins walking toward the ring when blood begins dripping from beneath the mask. When he gets inside there's blood dropping to the ground as he plods toward Van Dam. S.D. Jones rushes to check on "Mangler's Monster" who seems to be losing more and more blood. When The Blitzkrieg pushes Jones aside refusing to let him check out his injury; the referee calls for the bell and declares the match a no contest. Looking more than a little relieved; Rob Van Dam rolls out of the ring still the Eastern States Champion while several EMTs arrive from the back and try without success to check on furious Blitzkrieg.

Okerlund: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to the final commercial break of Eastern Championship Wrestling's Big Event; Hotter Than Hell! Before the break we witnessed Eastern States Champion Rob Van Dam retain his title after the Match was declared a No Contest by referee S.D. Jones following an apparent injury to challenger "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg.
Poffo: Jones really had no right to make that call Gene. The Blitzkrieg looked like he was still ready to fight and that's all that should matter.
Okerlund: He made the right call Lanny. The good news here folks is that after the commercial break; The Blitzkrieg's manager The Baron Von Raschke managed to calm his charge down enough to get him to let medical personnel look at him. It appears other than a few new missing teeth and a broken nose he is alright.
Poffo: I wonder what that face looks like anyway Gene. Hell; from what I've heard it may be an impovement.
Okerlund: Careful Lanny. We'd now like to take the time to thank those folks at home and the people in this very arena; The Nassau Soliseum; for tuning in here for Hotter Than Hell tonight. And be sure to check in again every Wednesday night right here on TNN The Nashville Network for more exciting Eastern Championship action.
Poffo: Moving on to our Main Event about to get underway; this Match has been brewing for months and in my opinion is long overdue.
Okerlund: Certainly Lanny if you're referring to a Match between "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango and ECW Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage without outside interference; I'd have to agree. These two men first met in the ring on June 1st. A Match in which ended in a DQ win for Shango; thanks to outside intereference by Arn Anderson.
Poffo: And then of course the following week "The Soul Stealer" angered both men further with what even I would have to call a heinous attack on the lovely Miss Elizabeth.
Okerlund: Agreed Lanny. The week after that Arn Anderson went on to defeat Papa Shango in the middle of the ring. The same ring that at the close of the show on June 29th one week later would see a seemingly possessed portion of our roster aide Shango and his Dark Circle in a vicious attack on both AA and the ECW Champ. This of course led to the epic teaming of "The Enforcer" and Randy Savage against the might of The Dark Cirle. Randy Savage winning the Match after a diving elbow drop to Shango.
Poffo: And that may have been the very end of it Gene; had Papa Shango taken his ball and went home. However several weeks later he went on to win the number one contendership for the second time when he defeated "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Okerlund: I'd add with more than a little cheating involved. There were two "Soul Stealers" that night if I recall. As part of the Matches' stipulation however; the loser of the bout got to choose the Match type here at Hotter Than Hell.
Poffo: And of course that vengeful ol' AA decided to put the ECW Title and perhaps both of these men's very careers on the line when he chose the same type of Match that nearly ended "The Enforcer's" career earlier in the year. The Steel Cage. The lights then go out as mist fills the arena. Voodoo drums beat slowly as Papa Shango and Brickhouse Brown appear on the ramp.
McGillicutty: The following Steel Cage Match is scheduled for one fall and is for the ECW Heavyweight Championship. Introducing first the challenger; accompanied to the ring by Brickhouse Brown; weighing in at 330 lbs. from the Depths of Hell, he is "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango!
Referee Danny Davis doesn't allow Brown inside the ring at all, closing the Cage door in front of him. He takes Shango's top hat and jacket before checking him for foreign objects. Pomp and Circumstance then plays as "Macho Man" Randy Savage emerges from the back. He is alone.
McGillicutty: And introducing now from Sarasota, Florida weighing in at 242 lbs. he is the Eastern Heavyweight Champion; "The Macho Man" Randy Savage!ECW Title Steel Cage Match: Randy Savage vs. Papa Shango Danny Davis starts the Match as the two opponents lock up. They test one another's strength which goes badly for Randy Savage when after several seconds on even footing; Papa Shango overpowers the Champ and forces him down to first one and then both knees. The fans rally behind "Macho Man" however and Savage battles fights his way up to one knee and then up back onto his feet. "The Soul Stealer" isn't looking to sure of himself and knees Randy in the gut following it up with a double axe handle smash over the head before whipping him across the ring and connecting with a big boot. Randy stumbles backward and falls to the floor while Papa goes for the cover getting a two count. Lifting the Champ up to his feet; he powerbombs Randy to the floor before heading for the cage, which he begins to climb. Randy stirs on the mat and getting on all fours rubs his head. Looking up he sees Shango halfway up the cage and his eyes go wide. Sprinting up he hits the cage with a drop kick that rattles it enough to make Shango looks his grip and fall to the floor. Angered "The Soul Stealer" walks over and attacks Randy; but Savage catches his hand mid punch and he applies an armwrench. Shango howls in pain as Randy keeps his arm wrenched and climbing up the to the second rope like a cat; he hits the arm with an elbow drop. As the witch doctor reels in pain; Randy grabs him by the head and smashes his face into the steel cage before nailing him with a facebuster over his knee. Taking "The Soul Stealer" down with a snapmare; Randy locks in an armbar trying to force the big man to submit. Shango gets to the bottom rope however and Davis has him release the hold. Papa looks to be in bad shape as he uses the ropes to get back to his feet while Randy runs back across the ring to build momentum and charges Shango. At the last second however Shango moves out of the way as Savage goes crashing into the cage. As he stumbles back; "The Soul Stealer" schoolboys the "Macho Man" getting a near three count. Angry now Randy springs back up and meets Papa Shango in the center of the ring as they begins trading punches. Savage begins beating Shango back toward the ropes; until the big man takes him down with a clothesline that turns the Champ inside out. Picking Randy up and locking him in a headlock; Shango begins hammering the head of the Champ. Savage however battles his way up to his feet and nails a back body drop. Both men are down in pain as Papa Shango heads for the cage door. Meeting him there; Danny Davis begins to open it. Savage sees this however and scrambling to his feet heads over and grabbing "The Soul Stealer" hits an atomic drop. The door closes. And Randy puts the boots to the challenger. He then tells Davis to open the door. He ducks his head under the ropes; only to be nailed with the steel door! Savage goes down hard as Brickhouse Brown grins triumphantly on the outside.Davis returns the key to his pocket. Meanwhile Papa Shango is back up and he begins makes the cover. 1...2... Randy kicks out! 3!! Lifting up his fallen foe; Shango nails him with his signature inverted shoulderbreaker. "Macho Man" looks to be out cold as Papa Shango once again begins to climb the cage. He is two thirds up it when the crowd comes alive. Shango looks down at Savage to see him still out cold. Then out of the corner of his eye he sees it; "Ravishing" Rick Rude is outside the cage and is chasing after Brickhouse Brown! Rude catches Brown and after hitting him repeatedly; he takes Brickhouse out with a DDT on the concrete!! Shango feels a tug on his boot and looking down sees Randy Savage has pursued him up the cage. Grabbing Shango around the waist; Randy hits a suplex off the top rope! The Champ is groggy; but manages to crawl over to his opponent and throw an arm over "The Soul Stealer." 1,,,2,,, Shango kicks out! Pulling himself onto his knees, Randy begins beating on Shango. But the big man has recovered somewhat and after catching Savage by the arm hits him with a headbutt that breaks the Champ open! Back on his feet Shango lifts Randy to his and whips him across the ring! He bounces off the ropes; but on the return Savage goes airborne and takes Shango down with a hurrcanrana! Keeping on top of Shango, Randy hits him with an elbow drop before picking him up and hitting a vertical suplex. Shango seems to be out of it; and Randy begins climbs up to the top turnbuckle. He then climbs up the cage and pauses on top. He then wobbles a bit as he gets into a crouched position. Lanny and Okerlund wonder what the hell he's doing as Randy stands on top of the cage. Poffo says Savage has always been nuttier than a pet coon. But this is suicidal! Randy shakes his head yes and signals for the elbow drop as the crowd goes crazy. Okerlund says that Randy has this match won already. Why would he do this?! "Macho Man" leaps from the top of the cage as Shango stirs below. He's moving and sits... Savage connects! Savage has hit the flying elbow on Shango!! Randy Savage growls and looks to be moving funny; but he rolls onto Papa Shango and hooks his leg anyway. 1...2...3!! Savage has done it! He's retained the Title! Danny Davis runs over and lifts the Eastern Heavyweight Champ's hand in victory just as a small explosion of smoke bursts out beneath him. Smoke fills the ring momentarily as the lights flicker on and off. Randy looks down at his opponent and Shango is gone. There's nothing but smoldering rags in the ring! Voodoo drums play as attention is drawn toward the ramp. On the stage stands a sharply dressed satanic looking man in a red suit. Nobody seems to know who he is as he looks on. He is holding a cane and leering at the ring. He soon turns and without a word is gone. Inside the ring Randy Savage looks a bit battered and a little spooked as Danny Davis hands him his Championship. Randy is fatigued and collapses to his knees; clutching the ECW Title as the...

09/28/94 - Pittsburgh Civic Center Pittsburgh, PA"Mean" Gene Okerlund welcomes the Wrestling Fans and begrudgingly his co-host "The Genius" Lanny Poffo to another exciting edition of Eastern Champiojnship Wrestling. He thanks us for joining them here at the Pittsburgh Civic Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Lanny says he thinks even the dolts at home could figure out that the Pittburgh Civic Center is in Pittsburgh. Gene says Lanny is a breath of fresh air as always before talking about last week's broadcast in which ECW presented its second Big Event; Hotter Than Hell. He says we should expect to see some fallout from that Event here tonight. He and Lannyy then run down tonight's card which will feature Yoshihiro Tajiri in action against Jerry "The King" Lawler and in a monstrous Main Event ECW Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage will battle "Ravishing" Rick Rude in a non-Title Match.
An annoying buzzing sounds is soon heard as the new Tag-Team Champions; The Killer Bees appear on the ramp with their Titles around their waists. Okerlund says that the way the duo "won" the tag belts by hitting Taka Michonku in the face with a fire extinguisher was disgusting. Lanny of couse doesn't know what he is talking about.McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from White Bear Lake, Minnesota weighing in at 235 lbs., and accompanied to the ring by B. Brian Blair; he is one half of the Tag-Team Champions known collectively as The Killer Bees; "Jumping" Jim Brunzell!
Inside the ring both of the Bees show off their Championships to the booing crowd before Brunzell hands over his to Blair who leaves the ring. Just then Steve Blackman's intro hits.
McGillicutty: And his challenger this evening from Anneville, Pennylvania weighing in at 246 lbs. he is "The Silent Assassin" Steve Blackman!Match: Jim Brunzell vs. Steve Blackman Steve Blackman is holding is own early on until Jim Brunzell blocks a suplex attempt with a knee to the gut and connects with a swinging neckbreaker. From ther "Jumping" Jim dominates "The Silent Asssassin" until there is a disturbance at ringside, It's The New Orient Express! They have B. Brian Blair down on the ground where Taka Michinoku and Yoshihiro Tajiri are putting the boots to him!! On the ramp Mr. Fuji is laughing maniacally. He says that while The Killer Bees may have extinguished The Express' shot at the Tag Titles at Hotter Than Hell; very soon they will be swatted aside as their reign as Champions is brought to an end. Mwahaha. Meanwhile inside the ring Jim Brunzell moves to save his partner; but Steve Blackman grabs him by the shoulder, spins him about and lets him have it with a superkick. Going for the cover; Blackman picks up the win. When Eastern Championship returns Lanny Poffo finds it disgusting that one of The Stevies stole a match. He thinks it should be stricken from the books. He and Gene then discuss the Main Event at Hotter Than Hell. Neither man really gets what happened to Papa Shango following his loss to ECW Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Did he return to Hell? Did he spontaneously combust? And who was the sharply dressed man who appeared on the ramp? Poffo thinks that the first two questions being yes is theoretically implausible at any rate. Okerlund is sure if "The Soul Stealer" is gone however; that your best bet of seeing Brickhouse Brown is under your nearest rock.
"Jailhouse Rock" by the Blues Brothers then hits as Devon and Spike Hughes storm the ramp in their suits and fedoras.
Devon: Testify!
McGillicutty: The following Tag-Team Match-up is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first at a combined weight of 430 lbs.; they are Devon and Spike; The Hughes Brothers!
Spike and Devon pose a bit before tossing their hats to the crowd. The Canadian National Anthem then hits as Mike Sharpe appears on the stage waving a Canadian flag while Matt Borne follows him down the ramp to the ring.
McGillicutty: And their challengers this evening weighing in at a combined 525 lbs.; the team of "Maniac" Matt Borne and "Iron" Mike Sharpe!Tag-Team Match: The Hughes Brothers vs. Sharpe & Borne S.D. Jones officiates as Devon Hughes starts things off with Mike Sharpe. The two men are evenly matched and they battle back and forth for control, Sharpe getting a near fall following a running forearm smash to the head of Devon that sends him head over heels. Spike Hughes however breaks up the pin and gives Devon the chance to fight his way back. He eventually sends Sharpe looking for the hot tag following a big back body drop. Now the legal man Matt Borne has some difficulty with Devon for several minutes before taking control. He gets a two count after a lifting side slam. Devon is already in a bad way when "Maniac" Matt lifts Devon up into the air and running to the corner powerslams him onto the top turnbuckle. Hughes shocks the crowd when he just kicks out before the three. It isn't easy; but he manages to make the desperation tag to Spike Hughes. In the ring Sharpe pounds Spike a bit while Spike works his ass off for what little offense he gets in. Finally Borne lifts Spike into the air and takes off into the corner looking to smash him over the turnbuckle like he did to Devon earlier. Spike Hughes however wiggles free and manages to nail Matt Borne with a Tornado DDT, using his own momentum against him. A three count from Jones later and Spike has scored an upset victory via Pinfall.
Rushing into the ring Devon celebrates with his partner, hoisting him up onto his shoulder while Matt Borne and Mike Sharpe begin arguing with one another. Lanny finds this turn of events amusing. Borne and Sharpe begin shoving one another; but Danny Davis and Teddy Long come out help Jones break things up before they come to blows.
Lanny and Gene talk about what just transpired until voodoo music hits!
After a prolonged wait Brickhouse Brown emerges from the back. This surprises both announcers. They both think he would've and probably should've hightailed it out of ECW following Papa Shango's defeat. Brickhouse Brown looks alot different than he has in the past several months. He's wearing a T-shirt, sweatpants, a hat; and sunglasses. Gone is the voodoo lackey look he has been sporting since teaming with Shango. When he enters the ring; a nervous Beulah McGillicutty hands him the microphone when he asks for it.
"It's alright." He tells her before addressing the fans. "Now I get it. I've seen the tapes though I honestly don't remember much. So boo if you have too. People gotta do what they do. But at the same time I have alot to be thankful about. We have alot to be thankful about. Namely; Papa Shango has left the building. Now. Granted I don't know much about the man. Met him once and thought he seemed a little funny. A little off. And honestly that's all I remember of the last several months. May be hard to swallow. Even harder for me. Since "teaming" up with "The Soul Stealer" I lost alot. Lost the respect of you good people. Lost my house. Lost my family. Lost my very identity to the man. Even; nearly lost my job. Now luckily Eric Bischoff was willing to leave me that. He doesn't trust me. Has no reason to. But the man gave me a chance here. A chance to redeem myself. Now you people may be thinking? Thinking to yourselves. But Brickhouse; you gained alot under Shango's employ too. You were feared. You were respected. And even earned several Title shots. And that'd be true. In fact; I even have a Title shot coming up. Against Rob Van Dam. For the Eastern States Championship. However I'm gonna be real with you people. I didn't earn it. See; these past few months I've been nothing more than a pawn. An object. An instrument for that fool Shango to play. And play me he did. Now as I said. I don't want nothing to do with the man. Never did. And that's why as tempting as it may be. And trust me; it is. I'm gonna have to turn down that Title shot. Would be hypocritical if I didn't. The Bill Conti Overture then hits and Jerry "The King" Lawler soon appears on the ramp with his son Brian Lawler in tow."The King" laughs and says his ears must not be working quite right. He asks Brian if he's hearing this correctly. Did this idiot Brickhouse Brown actually just turn down a Title opportunity? Brian shakes his head and says it's true. Jerry says that's what he thought. He then tells Brickhouse Brown that his dedication to turning over a new leaf is admirable. But frankly these fans he's doing it for couldn't care less. They're selfish. They're unforgiving. Hell; they didn't even forgive him for being held under Papa Shango's spell for one measly night. And he's "The King!" He tells Brickhouse that he's a fool for not taking the Title shot. But that if he doesn't want it; he'll gladly take it! Brown says that it isn't up for grabs. That the Title shot was designed for a golem. A man that don't even exist. And that if Lawler wants a shot at the Eastern States Championship; or any other Title for that matter; he should do it the old fashioned way. By winning it!
Jerry scoffs at this and says that he's held more Championships than Brickhouse Brown can even name. And that he's only turning down this Title shot to try and save his sorry ass career. He then tells Brown that he shouldn't be surprised if nobody believes his story. Because while Lawler himself was only tied to Shango for a damned night; Brown has made being "The Soul Stealer's" lap dog his entire career since coming to Eastern Championship.
Brown says that yeah Lawler is right. He hasn't done much here in Eastern Championship on his own. And he's probably also right about "The King" having won more Titles than Brickhouse could name. But there is one Championship that Jerry Lawler held he CAN name. One Title that Jerry Lawler just might remember. And that is the AWA Southern Heavyweight Championship. Do you remember that one Jerry? Jerry goes pale, He says that Brickhouse Brown taking that belt from him was a damned fluke. That the ref was biased against him and that he could beat Brown six ways to Sunday any day of the damned week.
Brickhouse Brown says that may be. And if Jerry wants to; he can prove it next week here on Eastern Championship Wrestling! Lawler accepts the challenge.McGillicutty: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Dublin, Ireland weighing 150 lbs.; Velvet McIntyre!
Velvet bounds down the ramp and gets inside the ring with Danny Davis. After she poses on the second turnbuckle, "Pour Some Sugar on It" by Van Halen hits as Tiffany appears on the ramp.
McGillicutty: And her opponent weighing in at 150 lbs. from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon; Tiffany Sanchez!Match: Velvet McIntyre vs. Tiffany Velvet McIntyre have a very fast paced match with plenty of aerial maneuvering and mat wrestling. Tiffany's luck runs out when she goes for a moonsault however and McIntyre rolls out of the way. As Tiffany stumbles back up to her feet; Velvet McIntyre nails her with a hurrancanrana before picking up the pin from referee Danny Davis.
After the match Poffo and Okerlund discuss Brickhouse Brown and how he seems to be a new man. Poffo is very skeptical of his turn around and says that it's awfully convenient he wants to turn over a new leaf suddenly now that The Dark Circle is no longer here to protect him. They then talk about Jerry Lawler's involvement months ago in the attack on Arn Anderson and Randy Savage. Lanny says that night was completely different being Lawler and about half the roster only claimed to be under Papa Shango's spell for that one night. Mean Gene then reminds Lanny that he just said he didn't believe in demonic possession. Poffo tells him to stuff it.
Okerlund then sends us backstage where ECW correspondent "Gorgeous" Michele Starr is standing by with "Maniac" Matt Borne. Starr thanks Matt for joining him and says that since coming to Eastern Championship; Borne has proven himself to be a maniac that's for sure. He then says that his fans have been questioning his recent partnership with "Canada's Greatest Athlete" Mike Sharpe. He asks if they always had chemistry or if he only recently decided that Americans much like the country itself belonged under Canadians?
Borne gets in Michele's face and jabs his finger in his cheek. He tells him that he doesn't appeciate his little double talkin' and that if he doesn't watch himself he's gonna find his sweet little face colliding with both of "The Maniac's" here fists just like that Moose-mouthed chump Mike Sharpe is going to. He says that his dear ol' dad taught him two things in life. One; never trust a Canadian and two never hit a women-folk. He then says he guesses he weren't too good a listener and proceeds to punch Starr in the gut.
We're then brought back to ringside where Okerlund supposes this means the Tag-Team of Matt Borne and Mike Sharpe has been dissolved. Lanny sarcastically asks him what would make him think such a thing?
The Kaientai Theme then hits as Yoshihiro Tajiri stalks his way down to the ring followed by his manager "The Diabolical One" Mr. Fuji.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring first from Tokyo and accompanied to the ring by Mr. Fuji; weighing 180 lbs. he is "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri!
Tajiri stalks about the ring and climbing up onto the top turnbuckle shoots green mist into the air. The Bill Conti Overture then sounds for the second time of the night as Jerry "The King" Lawler emerges from the back.
McGillicutty: And his opponent weighing 243 lbs. from Memphis, Tennessee he is Jerry "The King" Lawler!Match: Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Jerry Lawler Yoshihiro Tajiri and Jerry Lawler lock up as Long starts the match. It's a hard fought contest that Jerry Lawler seems to be on the verge of winning as he looks to hit the piledriver. At the last second Tajiri pulls his legs out from under him and rolls "The King" up for a two count. As Jerry gets back up to one knee, "The Japanese Buzzsaw" runs back toward the ropes as he signals for The Sinining Wizard. It never comes however as "Killer Bee" B. Brian Blair appears from beneath the ramp and reaching in trips him up. This gives a now recovered Jerry Lawler enough time to grab "The Japanese Buzzsaw" and nail him with a DDT for the win. After the break Ronnie Garvin is already inside the ring while Poffo and Okerlund discuss his recent feud with "The Long Island Looud-Mouth" Chris Jericho. They talk about his Match at Hotter Than Hell with Big Bad John which Garvin won. Lanny doesn't dispute this; but seems far more interested in what occured afterward; where Jericho removed his neckbrace and revealed he was no longer injured before he and Big Bad proceeded to deliver a double Garvin Stomp to "The Rugged One." Gene says that Lanny has a knack for misinterpreting events. That "The Loud-Mouth" admitted he was a lying no-good fink at Hotter Than Hell and was never injured to beging with. Just then Irish Folk music is heard and Erin O'Grady appears on the ramp with his cauldron; from which he tosses gold coins to the crowd.
McGillicutty: And this opponent this evening from Dublin, Ireland weighing 212 lbs.; he is "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady!Match: Ronnie Garvin vs. Erin O'Grady When referee S.D. Jones starts the match Erin O'Grady does his best against "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin. Garvin however just seems to be in a fouler mood than usual and tears "The Leprechaun" apart before locking him into a sleeper hold. Erin O'Grady attempts to fight his way out of it; but Ronnie Garvin takes him down to the mat and puts him away in under five minutes.
Afterward he gets on the mic and talks about how "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" and his butt buddy Big Bad John must think what they did to him at Hotter Than Hell after their ,match was really cute. He says he's tired of talentless pretty boys like Jericho trying to make a name for themselves in his business by using underhanded tactics and double-teaming instead of relying on actual good o' wrestling talent and mat know how. He then says that he's beaten both Chris Jericho and Big Bad John in the past; so he has nothing to prove there. However he's tired of "The Loud-Mouth's" constant reliance on back up his big mouth. That's why he's proposing that next week; in this very ring they have a Tag-Team match. Him and a partner of his choosing against Jericho and John. And the losers of the Match will never be allowed to team up again! "Thunderkiss '65" by White Zombie then hits as Chris Jericho swaggers onto the ramp with Big Bad John. "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" says that Garvin is just making excuses why he can't keep up with him or John now. That he can't face up to the fact he's a washed up has-been who can't compete with today's younger, more vital, more athletic talent. But that he'll give Garvin what he wants. Not because he has to. But so he can show this old geezer one more time; and the world for that matter; that Chris Jericho doesn't need anyone to help him win. Especially Big Bad John. The big man doesn't look too pleased with this last comment before we go to... When Eastern Championship Wrestling returns we're taken to a pretaped segment with ECW Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage and "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs. Savage says that since becoming ECW HEavyweight Champion he's taken on all comers. Yeah. Beaten all the odds. Taken down every single challenger to the mat for the 1-2-3. Dig it. And last week at Hotter Than Hell Yeah. Last week he took down. Destroyed that voodoo chump Papa Shango; "The Soul Stealer"; once and for all. Dig it. And now tonight. Just one week later Beeschoff has him scheduled to face off against "Ravishing" Rick Rude. Lesser men would be tired. Lesser men would claim they're too beat up. Lesser men would complain that just last week they leapt off a fifteen foot Steel Cage. Yeah. But not the Macho Man. No. For the "Macho Man" Randy Savage is a true wrestling Champian.
Debbie Combs then warns Rick Rude not to try any of his sleazy shenanigans on her like last time. That she's a true lady and the only man she wants in her life is the only real man; "The Macho Man!" To which Savage gives an Oooh Yeah!
We're then brought back to ringside where Lanny Poffo says it's unfair for Randy Savage to have a match here tonight after defending his Title only seven days ago. Mean Gene then reminds Lanny that he doesn't even like "The Macho Man." Poffo then says "ooh Yeah" mimicing Savage before telling Gene to forget he said anything. He's looking forward to the match later tonight. "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen then hits as Junkyard Dog makes his way down the ramp rattling the chain around his neck.
McGillicutty: The following Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Wadesboro, North Carolina weighing 280 lbs.; he is one half of the tag-team Deep South; The Junkyard Dog!
JYD enters the ring and barks a bit for the crowd before referee Danny Davis takes his chain away.
McGillicutty: And introducing his opponent tonight weighing 260 lbs. from Parts Unknown; The Black Marvel!Match: Junkyard Dog vs. The Black Marvel (S.D. Jones) The masked Black Marvel puts up something of a fight; but it isn't long before a dominating Junkyard Dog catches his opponent with a vicious headbutt that he follows up with the Thump scoop powerslam for the win.Mean Gene reminds us that next week Eastern Championship will be coming to us live from Viking Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and that as always the folks at home can tune in right here on ECW's home station of TNN The Nashville Network. He and Lanny then hype the Main Event that's about to get underway; focusing mainly on the fact that "Ravishing" Rick Rude was the man who met "Macho Man" Randy Savage in the Tournament Finals for the ECW Championship back in January; with Savage pinning Rude to win the belt. They also talk about Rude's recent Title shot which ended in a No Contest thanks to "The Soul Stealer" Papa Shango. Rick Rude's strip theme then hits as he appears on the ramp and gives the ladies a show while removing his robe.
McGillicutty: The following non-Title Match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first weighing in at 251 lbs. from Robbinsdale, Minnesota; "Ravishing" Rick Rude!
Rick Rude enters the ring and poses for the crowd before Pomp and Circumstance hits. Soon Randy Savage emerges from with back with Debbie Combs in tow.
McGillicutty: And introducing his challenger accompanied to the ring at this time by "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs; weighing 235 lbs. from Sarasota, Florida; he is the Eastern Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage!Main Event: Randy Savage vs. Rick Rude Inside the ring Randy Savage locks up with Rick Rude as referee Teddy Long starts the match. The two men test one another's strength and it Savage looks tired as Rude wins out and getting behind the Champ catches him in a chickenwing hold. Keeping Randy in it for a bit Rude pushes him away after several seconds; taunting him. Angered, Savage connects with a hard right, but his second punch it caught by "The Ravishing One" who hits "Macho Man" with a head butt that sends him staggering. Grabbing Randy from behind Rude nails him with an atomic drop before rolling him up for a two count. Savage gets to all fours as Rude begins putting the boots to him. Changing pace Rick grabs Randy and hammers his back before lifting him for a vertical suplex. "Macho Man" however pushes out of his grasp and hops down to the floor behind Rick. Charging his opponent Randy connects with a shoulder tackle to the back of Rude's knee that takes him down to the ground. Grabbing Rick's boot Randy stomps the same knee before hitting it with a jumping knee drop. He then locks in a leglock attempting to get Rude to submit. "The Ravishing One" screams in pain but manages to turn over and kick Savage in the head knocking him off. Making his way to the ropes, Rude uses them to get to his feet as he stretches his leg. Randy Savage is back on his feet however and charges at Rude. Rick attempts a back body drop to dump Randy out of the ring; but the Champ takes hold of him and both men plummet to the floor below. While still on the floor the two men begin pounding one another; but it's Rude who is up first. He begins stomping "Macho Man;" but the Champ grabs his foot and throwing him off balance sends him crashing to the floor. Getting up to his own feet Randy begins hammering on Rude with hard rights and lefts as he attempts to get up. Taking Rick by the hair he slams "The Ravishing One's" head into the guardrail before climbin up onto the apron and comes down on him with a double axe handle; after which Randy quickly gets back into the ring just moments before Long counts to ten. Randy thinks Rude has been counted out; but Teddy argues he has to start counting again now that Savage is in the ring. Randy is pissed as Rude gets up to his feet and heads to the ring. Just then he is grabbed from behind by Debbie Combs! Combs clings to Rude's leg keeping him from re-entering. Finally having had enough Rick forces her off his leg and climbs back inside the ring at 7. As he moves toward Savage however he is again grabbed from behind. He turns to yell at Debbie Combs; but she grabs him and slips him some tongue! Both Rude and Savage are stunned by this; but looking to capitalize Randy grabs the distracted Rude and spins him about; letting him have it with a kick to the gut. Taking Rick Rude by the head Randy Savage lifts him up into the air and nails the Piledriver before going for the pin and it's all over.
Lights Fade.
